Superbowl Plumbing & Remodeling Plumbing Service
Jesse is an amazing plumber!! Bought a fixer-upper and he did a meticulous job re-plumbing the entire house--there was no detail left undone and with his full knowledge and explanation as well as his pricing I could not have been more comfortable entrusting him with this huge undertaking--I might also add, I am somewhat fussy and he was immaculate in his work habits:))
I continue to have friends thank me for sending him their way.
This is the guy to call!!

Badger Plumbing Plumbing Service
I rarely write a review but was very happy with the great job Mike and Tom did for my hot water heater replacement a few days ago.

Mike and Tom came highly recommended by a happy customer who have worked with Mike and Tom's father and continually working with them for many years.

They are very professional, helpful, and skilled. And my hot water heater replaced promptly and all is great now :) ... Thanks!!

Don The Handyman Plumbing Service
My family, friends and I have hired Don to help with all sorts of different tasks: plumbing, clean up, door lock repairs, he even hung a large picture on the hall above my stairs, which was really tricky to get at. He does it all! Very responsive, reasonable rates and Don is just a pleasure to work with.

Petersen Home Solutions Plumbing Service
I LOVE my new kitchen!!!  I am so happy that I hired Jason from Petersen Home Solutions to redo my kitchen.  It is exaclty what I wanted, but didn't think I could get.  He is very honest and explained why a couple of things I wanted I ultimately would not be happy with.  Thankfully I set a somewhat realistic budget for the project and Jason made suggestions so that I could get as close to the kitchen as I wanted for what I could spend.

This transformation required a lot of thoughtful planning on his part.  You see, I have a 1950's ranch.  So it is a small space, and original from when the house was built with the exception of a ceramic tile floor I wanted to keep. Due to the layout of the rest of the house, there was little room for reconfiguring and no way to expand.  Somehow, he made it look a lot different (read: better) and way bigger than the old kitchen.  There is a lot of extra work involved when retaining any portion of the old decor. Jason spent the necessary time to make sure the walls and floors were level before painting, installing tile (I luckily had leftover) where the old cabinets came out.  I had two things that were non-negotiable for me.  I found a kitchen sink I absolutely loved, and wanted to add an additional cabinet.  I had a cabinet on one side of the stove, but not the other.  To me it always looked unbalanced and I hated it.  He pondered on that and eventually he worked out some measurements for a custom made cabinet for that area. I did not know you could order stock cabinets, and that  they would be able to custom make just the one to match. Good thing Jason knew. I have no idea how he was able to fit the sink into the base cabinet, but he did.  He assisted me in measuring the appliances and choosing them. They all fit perfectly and he installed them without a hitch.

Other things he installed for me in the kitchen: ceiling fan, undercabinet lights, countertops.

I can highly recommend Jason for his honesty, work ethic, reasonable price, and creativity.  There's a new bathroom in my future and I have no doubt who I will be calling.

Scott Marhofke Plumbing Plumbing Service
Scott fixed several things around my home.  The biggest job was the installation of a hot water heater.  He was at my home most of one day to replace the hot water heater and for two other projects that same day.  He also came over two other times for other issues.  He was on time, he worked quickly, and carefully cleaned up when he was finished.  He was very knowledgeable about water heaters, something I cannot say about the big box store employees.  He also was able to determine how long each project was going to take.  Plus, he worked around my schedule.  After he finishes, he's careful to make sure everything is working properly.

All this, and his prices were reasonable.  He is highly recommended.

Zoom Drain Plumbing Service
The Zoom team was very responsive and efficient. Mike and KB even called in advance to explain why they were running behind. They replaced an old and out of work garbage disposal, ensuring the new one worked properly and wouldn't cause any future leaks or damages. I would definitely work with Zoom again.

First Chance Plumbing and Sewer Plumbing Service
Most people aren't aware that some of us still have grease traps in the basement, i had one! It exploded and distributed stinking grease all over my laundry room, foul odor! Called the first plumber (won't mention by name), who gave me a time but they were a no show! Started the search over and First Chance popped up, young man answered the phone, gave me the same day time appointment and he showed up! Thank God! He gave me an estimate, which I felt was reasonable, Daniel and Bob completed the work, which looks good and works perfectly! Highly recommend First Chance plumbers!

Eugene Plumber Plumbing Service
Would not recommend!
We had a kitchen remodel with new countertop and new sink installed. Needed the sink pipes to be reconnected professionally. Eugene did an ok job as the pipes are reconnected and working.
Since he was here, we needed shut off valves replaced as they were leaking. Eugene got them replaced.
After he left, we discovered another shut off valve that needed to be replaced. Called Eugene back for this and he was willing to come back for this but that would take time.
As we didn't want to wait, we had someone else come in. This second plumber noticed Eugene's work on valve replacements were not done properly. Eugene only replaced the front knob part of the valves when he should have replaced the entire valve and charged for full parts and labor. NOT very professional. I'm now not even sure if he is licensed?
I usually don't write reviews but thought I should let it be known.

Additional remark
Greedy? You didn't properly replace the valves. Only replacing the front knob part, which is what you did, solves the immediate leak problem, but the whole valve should have been replaced to prevent any further problems. How is that greedy?

CCP Plumbing & Services Plumbing Service
Our basement sump pump was making a noise do to it's age so we had CCP come out and replace it. We are extremely happy with the work that was done. We can now sleep peacefully at night without the old pumps noise. Also their rates are reasonable. Very nice and respectful plumber. I highly recommend this plumbing company. I'll post some pictures my wife took.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup Plumbing Service
Update III (6/22/2017): Called Burris and Sons and Mr. Burris was able to permanently resolve my issue for a fraction of the price (about half). Roto Rooters are crooks! Anyone else have a similar issue with them?---I'm wondering if any lawyers would be willing to pursue a class-action lawsuit against them.

Update II (3/2/2017): After my follow up visit, I received several calls from representatives.  The main person who I spoke with was Tracy.  She called me on 2/21, then called back on 2/22 and told me she was working on a resolution and would be in touch.  More than a week went by and I didn't hear from Tracy (or anyone else for that matter).  So I called Tracy today (3/2/2017).  She apologized for the inconvenience and informed me that they would be willing to give me $225 (half) of my total back.  She said that they were able to rod the line and I was without sewage backup for almost a month.  I complained that this was not what I paid for, or what I expected.  I asked if I could speak to anyone else. She said that this had been cleared with the general manager and that I couldn't talk to anyone else. She said the only thing that I could do was dispute the charge with my credit card company.

I talked to the General Manager Paul Cecil. He was INCREDIBLY RUDE and combative. He kept repeating that I was without sewage for a month so they did their job. He provided other car analogies that made no sense. I could not believe how I was treated!

Please do not use this company! They are terrible.  I went with them because of the 6 month guarantee, but apparently that doesn't mean anything. They totally scammed me out of my money.

Update (2/21/17) Within one month I noticed that the bad sewage smell returned, and a couple of days later I noticed that I had water again.  So I decided to take advantage of that 6 month warrantee and called Roto Rooters to come back.  I got a different guy this time.  He rodded for a much longer time than Andre (the previous guy).  He also used a camera.  After rodding for over an hour he tells me that there's a large root about 7 feet below the tree in front of my house. There's a different process to have that root removed and that would cost me an addition $6,000!

I was pissed.  I paid almost $500 a month ago, now they're saying that I have to pay $6,000!  Why would they think that I'd be willing to give them $6000 if the $500 was basically a waste of time.  Further, if I don't have that done the water will continue to come up and my 6 month guarantee is null and void because it only covered 1 visit.

Next I spoke to a manager Kris Kauth.  He starts telling me that instead of $6,000 I could pay $221 for a PDP where the City would come out and look at the issue and see if they can do something. This option has no guarantees and it's quite possible that the City will say that I need a full clean out on the property (the $6,000) job.  Plus the City doesn't move fast so I may have to wait a long time, meanwhile my basement will continue to smell like sewage.

I was not pleased at all with any of these options.  Kris was very smug and lacking in empathy!  When I pressed him for answers about why was I charged for a rodding that didn't work, he told me I don't know.  You have old clay pipes. I asked him if I could speak to his manager.  He was very resistant but ultimately gave me the name of the General Manager Paul Cecil.

Stay tuned, I'll keep you updated.

Original (written on 2/7/17; service on 1/17/2017): I had a sewage backup in my basement.  It smelled awful!  I was so sad.  I called Roto-Rooter and they came out within a couple of days.  Andre #8971 cleared my drain, and I haven't had any issues since.  The service was fast and Andre cleaned everything after he was done.  Overall he did a great job!

I've had this issue once in the past.  I payed a lot less for the service but I had a massive cleanup that I was responsible for.  While it's more expensive than a local handyman, I am happy that I have 6 month guarantee, and I can call them back if I need to.

The guy is always bug eyed and had a white powder substance all over his nose.
His wife wasn't much help because she doesn't know how to spell or text.
Aggravating service. Not worth it. Find actual Professional people who are up to date with plumbing... He still thinks it's the late 70s.

Kuhn Plumbing Plumbing Service
I am not at all satisfied with the performance of this business.  The plumber had to come back twice to get the job finished.  The man was here for eight hours.  When I questioned the bill they told my he didn't stop for lunch.  Sure.  I was told what the cost per hour was, but then the shop sent a helper along with the plumber, and I had to pay extra for that guy.  The rates are very high.  I don't  think my physician gets that much.   If Kuhn was the last plumber on earth, I wouldn't call them.  Don't you do it either.

Calumet City Plumbing Plumbing Service
I was a resident customer for at least 30 years. Over multiple houses including my current one. I attempted to get service recently. First the receptionist was rude. She attempted to defer me first stating they only did businesses. After informing her I had be a customer for years and had been previously told that they would continue to serve old clients. then she said she couldn't find my address, I then told her I had old receipts I could forward her, she then said she didn't make appointments during the day she would call me back that evening. No call. I'm not going to beg and pay, it is  Obvious that Calumet City plumbing does not appreciate the residential customers on whose back they built their current business.  I believe you guys could find another another plumbing company that does excellent work that appreciate your business don't spend your money here they don't want it

Escobar Construction Plumbing Service
No Call. No Show. No Response. Had a new kitchen sink and faucet installation scheduled for this morning at 8:00. Cristian and I spoke on the phone and via text, I sent photos at his request, and he gave me a price of $500 for the job. I reached out last night to confirm the installation this morning, but I received no response. I tried calling and texting this morning as well but received no answer and no response. It's now after 9:00... At least I didn't give these guys any money.

Bill's Plumbing & Heating & Sewer Plumbing Service
The plumber was efficient, knowledgable, and nice. The two problems with my sink seemed to be fixed but a couple months later one issue returned (reduced cold water pressure). They came back, discovered the root cause (a coil thing that kinked up over time), replaced another part and did not charge me. I appreciate that they guarantee their work. The guy who came the second time was also very nice and knowledgable and he spent a lot of time investigating the mystery cause of the problem.

Beverly Plumbing Service Plumbing Service
This company isn't actually a local plumbing company and is just a shell. They're Beverly plumbing and asked me how to spell Damen Avenue. They told me they'd contact a tech and and get back to me about how fast someone could get out to me. Ten minutes later I called back and asked for an update and they had forgotten and asked me to call back in another two minutes

Terry Cox Plumbers Plumbing Service
They advertise on Angie's List by offering $99.00 for 2 hours of plumbing labor, so I purchased this deal and this company never showed up.  The first day they rescheduled, the second day they didn't show up at all.  They also lied and said they were on their way.  I took 2 days off work waiting for these people, they didn't have the decency to even call.  I finally called and left a message for the owner himself (Terry Cox), he FINALLY called me back much later and suggested that I cancel the service call.  What kind of business does this?   I'm typically very fair when I judge businesses, but this is some of the worse customer disservice I've ever experienced.   Strongly advise you to consider alternatives before you hire them.
