Kathy at The Powder Room is wonderful to work with. She helped us pick the right toilet, quoted us a reasonable price for the toilet and also the installation. The Powder Room's selection is excellent and its great they do have Saturday hours!
Kathy followed up on Monday to confirm the installation date and time. They arrived on time. She gave me a low and high number for installation in case they ran into issues at our house. They didn't, installation was the lower of the two number.
All in all, an excellent experience with excellent service.

I found my sewer pipe (crawl space) under the kitchen was ruptured and disconnected, then the second day I called a contractor to give me an estimate. The contractor came and suggested to cut the wall in order to fix the sewer pipe, and his estimated cost was very high and was way over my expectation.  So, I called American Home Plumbing Service in the same day and  left a voice message. Less than a hour, I got a call back from Raheb and he said he will come shortly.   Rabeb arrived on time, and went into the crawl space. When he came back,  he gave me a new approach that does not need to cut the wall.  And the price is great and fair.  As I myself went to my crawl space as well to take a look,  Raheb's approach was perfectly matching my expectation.

Three days later, Raheb arrived on time and fixed the problem quickly and professionally.  Not only fixing my sewer pipe as planned, he also gave me a good advice about how to handle the wet spot in the crawl space.  His advice is very useful and probably saves me over a thousand dollar of restoration service.   Compared with the first contractor, you can tell the first one is just about making money from you, and Raheb is really about solving your problem efficiently.  I am sure that I will go with Raheb again if I have any plumbing service.  Raheb is great!

So my water heater had given up.  It started leaking and I was cleaning rust from my faucet every day.  I sent a message on Friday asking for help.  On Saturday 2 workmen showed up and  2 hours,  I had a new water heater.

Have had a slight problem since they did the work for me 6 months ago. Returning my call does not seem to be very important to them. Cannot catch them on the phone or pin down a time to come look at the possible problem from the work they did for me.

Responded and arrived same-day on a Saturday. I had the part to fix my water heater; they installed it but the new part was bad. Next day, Sunday, they followed up with the place I'd bought the part and worked with them to get a proper replacement. Came by, installed the new part again, and only charged the base labor cost. Responsive, helpful, dedicated.

We purchased a home back in july and had a few plumbing problems i callled In Demand.  Jeff came right out and fixed the problems and explained everything in detail and gave options. Well, this week we were on our way out to go to work and there was water everywhere!! A pipe burst.. i called Jeff  and they came out and dug up yard and found the break, replace pipe and did  an amazing job on cleanup, you would never know that they were there. He is uncertified licensed plumber which has no bonds, no warranty, and no profit to customer for any qualify taxes purpose.  Overall, be aware with this Bob Cowden, plenty others quality licensed plumbers out there.

We needed a gas line installed to our fireplace.  Wilver clearly understood and described what needed to be done.  He and his team completed the work quickly and they did a great job.   The price was fair too.  I highly recommend Wilver and Bay Area Plumbing, Rooter and Service.

The phone call was answered promptly. An appointment was scheduled on the same day. Gave a two hours window for the appointment & arrived early. I didn't have to wait long at all.  Bart was friendly and professional with his work.
He installed the toilet fill valve in less than 15 minutes. Made sure everything was in working order and clean up the area.  Gave me a short educational review of how the parts work. Bart really impressed me with his knowledge and efficiency.  Would recommend him to anyone else that have plumbing issues.

Nice person. Return call. Searched for handyman in san mateo.  However, he dies not go past Hillsdale Avenue.  So his company should not come up for San Mateo...hillsdale borders belmont.

We've hired Majid and team for a couple of jobs and each time he's been great to work with.  He's a problem solver and makes sure things are done well!  While I generally hope to not need plumbing services, if we do, these guys are my first call.

My water heater failed on Saturday. Chandlers came on Sunday to look at the problem; arrived early. He agreed to install a new water heater on Monday. based on my selecting a water heater--I had a specific water heater I wanted.  

He did buy and deliver a water heater Monday AM. It turned out it was not the one I selected as the one I selected was not in stock. The water heater he selected was better (i.e., more efficient) than the one I selected AND due to PGE rebate program was no more expensive than what I had selected!

The workers that did the installation were on time, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves.

I would not hesitate to use Chandlers Plumbing again, especially in an urgent situation.

Martin and Keith are beautiful, kind, talented professionals who are responsive and aim to get the job done as quickly, efficiently and most cost effective!

Mike Counsil Plumbing contacted me quickly, scheduled a technician to come to my home to see the water heater, and answered my questions about the various water heater options. The technician gave me  a no-surprises estimate before he started the work.  Mike Counsil uses highly rated water heaters. They did an excellent job on the install, I was happy to get a competitive price which also included the permit. A very professional company and their GM, Patty, was very helpful!

Gert is a gem!  Bell Plumbing  communicated with me every step of the way.  Gert arrived timely, worked quickly and efficiently.  He made sure everything was taken care of and we now have a new faucet replacing the old leaky one and new shower/tub fixtures that were near to crumbling.  Confident in our finished product to last for years to come.  Thanks Gert for taking good care of us.

This company apparently does not know the local rules of Fremont city and have put me in a tough spot.

I had a sewer line backup and got it inspected by Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.They looked at it and told me that roots have damaged the old clay sewer lateral and it needs to be replaced from the house till the property line beside side walk and i have two install two clean outs first one near the home and second one near the property line beside sidewalk.I repeatedly asked about the part of sewer lateral from the clean out beside side walk to city main sewer connection and was told that Fremont city is responsible for maintaining that part and they would clean it out in case there is a backup from there.

After the job was done i had a sewer backup again and on contacting Benjamin Franklin (Matt and Chris) i was told that i have to call the city.I informed them that USD told me that in Fremont city the part for sewer lateral from sidewalk to sewer main is home owners responsibility and they initially did not agree and kept on arguing.I was stuck for 2 days without using the restrooms after spending 11K on the sewer replacement and cleanout installation.

After 3 days Matt contacted and said that city changed the rules all of a sudden and informed that homeowner has to now maintain the part of sewer lateral from sidewalk to sewer mains (Really!!!, its hard to believe that they do not know the rules of the job they perform at customer side and want customer to suffer due to their lack of knowledge) .When i asked them to fix their screwup they gave me a quote of 18000 dollars to fix the part of sewer lateral that connects from cleanout near side walk to the city mains.This sounded a unreasonable high amount to me so i checked with other plumbers local to Fremont and got a quote of 1/4the of what they are demanding.

From my personal experience DO NOT HIRE them unless you have tons of money to waste.
