I hired Clever Electric to install a Tesla Wall Connector for my wife's Model 3. His team arrived on time, analyzed the capacity of my panel and did quick work of the installation. His prices are so much more affordable vs. what Tesla's approved vendors were charging. I'm satisfied with the installation and pricing.

I had an old light switch in the kitchen that never was replaced. It was the original one. It finally needed replacing after 30 years.

The owner of Clever Electric came and he worked on it quickly. He finished replacing the light switch under 15 minutes. He was pretty skilled in his craft. I will use him again when I have a need to fix/replace other electrical outlets and switches.

What I needed done: My son's room has a stupid fluorescent lighting ballast hanging on the ceiling for lighting and I hate it. The cord runs down the wall and INTO the socket where I can't get to it (as it's electrical and will kill me). I also need that outlet to be always on instead of switched and the lighting to run directly from the switch.

Called Clever Electric last Thursday. We set up a date for Tuesday. He arrived at around 8:10 a.m., looked at the room and went to work. He and another electrician had the job done in LESS THAN AN HOUR. The good news? They didn't even have to turn off the electricity in the house to do it!

Good work. Great price. They put plastic sheets down over all of my son's stuff before working, cleaned up after themselves and generally left the house nicer than it had been before they got there.

I am hiring them back to do all of the other rooms in my house. I highly, highly recommend them!

My and his team are really nice and efficient. I really appreciate their quick response time and service. Since we've moved into our 1980s home, we've been working hard to bring it to the times with our SmartThings. When one of our smart switches wasn't working in the hallway, My came quickly and found the problem. We also hired him to install a NEMA outlet for us and he was able to give us a competitive rate for it as well. While he was here for the NEMA outlet, I asked him about my garbage disposal outlet in the kitchen, and he was able to find out what was wrong with it and fix it for me. Honestly, his team is great and I know he will be the only electrician we will be using for now on!

My and his crew are great. I'm afraid with all these great reviews, he might get too busy, but I have o share. He did a bunch of work at my house including a 200amp panel upgrade and 2 bathroom fan installs w/ timers. He took care of all the inspections and everything passed with any issues.

He arrives early and always cleans up a the end of the day. I would hesitate to recommend Clever Electric to anyone.

I've used My and his team twice in the last 18 months. They installed our security cameras, our security lights and several interior lights. My is really easy going and I've always felt comfortable around him and his crew. When I informed My today that his guy hadn't yet shown, he ended up driving over to make sure I was taken care of. Minh came today, and despite him being a little late, he's a nice guy and did a good job. Between the two of them making up for lost time, I was happy. I hired Clever Electric to do the electrical work for my entire house that I'm remodeling. It's a huge project and since my house is about 100 years old, you can imagine how dated the electrical was. First of all, I chose Clever Electric because My submitted the most thorough and detailed estimate. Each item was very specific with its cost individually. They spent over 2 weeks at my house cutting through drywall and putting in new wiring. They always cleaned up their mess and hauled their garbage away. The workmanship from My and his crew is fantastic. They really pay close attention to detail and best of all, they listen to their clients and want to do exactly what makes the homeowner happy. My is willing to do the extra work and not take any short cuts. He even recommended for me to add on more switches/outlets at no additional charge. His price is very fair but most of all, he's honest. My and his crew will be back at my house to do all the finishings. I'm sure after they're done, I will be extremely happy with my home. If you're looking for an honest and reliable electrician, Clever Electric is the one. Very highly recommended.

Great Electrician!

After getting few bids, I decided to try this company after I saw a review for a Eichler panel upgrade. Pricing was fair than most of the other bids I got.

Job schedule was flexible and they were able to upgrade my Eichler panel to 200amp at the same location where the old panel was with minimum downtime. (No overnight without power). The job was clean and passed inspection on the first time. (^_^)

If you are looking to get your Eichler power panel upgraded, make sure you talk to these guys!

Amazing work done by clever electric. Neat and attention to detail. Crew members are friendly and listen to customers for before installing lights. We got installed the 16 recess lights and 2 pendants in 8 hours. I highly recommend clever electric. Superb work!

I called Clever Electric yesterday to inquire about some electrical work needed. The first thing he said was it will cost you $129 for me to come out and look in a not so nice manner. He probably was on the job or in a bad mood but if you can't answer the phone in a nice way then don't answer. If he had said it to me in a nice professional manner and said that would go towards the whole bill I would have considered hiring him since they have such great reviews. Not now.

My was excellent in his communication and service. I have him removed the existing fluorescent light fixture and installed a new flush-mount ceiling light. He re-assembled the removed fluorescent fixture and put this at the side. And tidied up the new ceiling light box and offered to sweep the floor when the job was done. In addition he patched up the holes used for the fluorescent fixture. Overall, I will get him again if I need any electrical work or projects to be done.

This is way overdue and I should have written this earlier. These guys are professional and return the calls immediately and even text you before they come onsite. The work performed is professional and he cleans up before leaving. I am very impressed. I had them add a 240 in the kitchen and also added a 20amp 240 plug for my electric car. The price was very reasonable but best of all, he returns the call immediately, comes right on time or will notify you if there is any delay and does a clean professional job. I rarely find a contractor that I can truly praise but these guys get my vote.

My and his team are very professional and efficient execution. I had rewiring done for my entire home, new panel, adding new power outlets in kitchen, outdoor and several rooms, add grounding to all outlets in home and also fixed some wiring issues in two way switch in attic. They cleaned up place every day after work and I did not have to move out during entire work as they provided temporary power to refrigerator and important areas. I would recommend my and his team for all electrical work.

I have been remodeling 3 houses over the last year. I was a former contractor so I am pretty knowledgeable. Clever Electric is outstanding. My (owners name) and his team are fast and professional. I have now used them for 3 major projects. Two whole house re-wires and some work at my house. I was shocked at how expertly they were able to re-wire houses with minimal damage to walls. My is very professional, fast and responsive. His prices are outstanding. I have dealt with many electricans (bids and work done over the years) and I can tell you that Clever is top notch and they are now my go to team for all electrical needs.

Clever Electric removed old florescent tubing, closed up the ceiling indentation and installed 7 LED recessed lighting fixtures. You can barely see the difference between the old ceiling, paint and texture and the replaced ceiling, paint and texture. Mike gave good recommendations for the kind of work that needed to be done and his crew did a great job. Minimal dust and noise. Took About 8 hours. I'm very happy with the work.

Just finishing remodeling my house. My, the owner of Clever electric, was extremely professional. The entire electric crew are courteous, neat, pay attention to details, on time. They know the code and their electrical stuff. I added RGB lights in the living room and LED strips in the coffer walls. Clever Electric did an awesome job. Clever Electric and My Ngo did an excellent job on our house rewire providing both high quality and a low price. What was most impressive and very much appreciated was that My worked closely with us to confirm along the way adjustments and options for where outlets and switches could be placed to meet the code yet minimize the need to open up the walls. When placing a 3-way switch where we wanted it meant tearing open a wall, My suggested another location that ended up working just as well. He and his team worked diligently and neatly. My also made sure the permits were obtained and the city inspection completed as needed. He even added extras such as a light in the attic and a timer on the bathroom fan.

I had Clever Electric ground my entire house (small 3 bed 2 bath), replace the electrical panel, and install recessed lighting in the living room. They sent a 3 man crew up to El Cerrito (1 hour drive), arrived at 8:00am on Saturday morning, and finished at 6:00pm the same day. Clever Electric is licensed and insured, and would have done the work with a permit for a few hundred dollars if I had chosen that. The price was very reasonable, and the crew was professional, quick, and polite. They were also very responsive by email and phone.

I wanted to get my home wired for internet access as I was not getting the bandwidth I need using WiFi. I called a few folks to get estimates and found that Clever Electric was very reasonable. I spoke with My and he was very knowledgeable of what I was looking for and gave a price based on what I told him. I followed with an e-mail to confirm the work order and date and time. My was very responsive and confirmed over e-mail. My and his co-worker came on time, which is very rare with contractors and handymen and got down to business. My was very flexible and gave me different options on how he can setup the enclosure and the patch panel. He did a great job that was clean and professional and finished the job on time. If you know exactly what you want and tell My in advance, he will provide the quote and do what he promised. He is willing to work with you and get the job done and does not try to trick you into spending more or change the price once he is on the job. I am very happy with the work that My did for me.
