My townhouse was built in the 80's.  Over the past 17yrs I've had several shorts occur (a receptacle melted, a switch burned up and a wirenut melted)  The breakers never tripped.  I assume it was faulty receptacles,  switches or connections in gang box in the wall.  I had another short a few days ago and and could not locate it myself.  I called a electrician I knew (who does commercial) and was referred to David Electric.  I called left a message and Albert called me back quickly.  He came out the next day he was on time and ready to work.  As soon as he opened the door on my breaker panel, he told me it was a major fire hazard and needed to be replaced.  The panel was known to not trip a breaker when it should and thus wires in the house get hotter and hotter in an overload situation until there is a failure - just like I had multiples times in the past.  I later looked up the details on the panel (Zinsco GTE-Sylvania) and found many reputable sources and news articles indicating the breaker panel had been recalled/pulled from market in 1984 (4 years after my home was built) and was a major fire hazard.  Albert quoted me $1500 to replace the panel with my choice of Siemens or GE panels labor, parts, and tax all-in. (I looked up pricing and in the Silicon Valley that is a fair price.) Permit was all set. He even offered to do the online application for the permit. He then proceeded to find where the short was and gave me a very good quote for that too.  He spent 2 hours searching and troubleshooting, including working in the attic.  The repair took another hour in the attic and about 30 mins rewiring two sets of switches in the primary bedroom. (troubleshooting, new wire, materials and repair $380)   He noted I had a freezer in the garage and offered to put a new dedicated circuit GFCI receptacle in for that which would reduce future break trips as my garage and primary bedroom were all (unfortunately) on one circuit and thus spread the load out. (new receptacle location parts and labor $160).  

David was friendly and very respectful of my home.  He was neat and clean, cleaning up after himself.  He communicated with me and answered my questions.  I did ask for an estimate and he gave me numbers via text message which was fine.  He did give me detailed written invoices.  He communicated via text message quickly and clearly. His pricing is very fair based on what I saw in the marketplace and I have no doubts that his work was to code and done very well and professionally.   He's a nice guy and just wants to do a good job.  I would absolutely call Albert and David Electric back if I need any further electrical work.   I'm so happy with his work, I'll be recommending him to my Homeowners Association as we have 10 other townhouses with the same dangerous breaker panels.

I had DV Electric come install a NEMA 14-50 outlet install in my garage.

He did a really good estimate over the phone asking very relevant questions on my setup and locations of my power/breakers.  His estimate came in at a very competitive price.

The job was done early the next day after I got the estimate.  He was very professional, prompt, and did a fantastic job.  Highly recommended!

We needed to upgrade all our recessed lights to LED and change up a few things and were looking for someone who could help us with this. Mike impressed us with his extensive knowledge on LED lighting, latest dimmer tech including remote controlled dimmers and what to look for when choosing the perfect light. We felt very comfortable moving forward with him.
On the first day he showed up with all the goodies - beautiful new Cree lights, remote dimmers and got to work. His employee Gino was also very nice and both were very easy to work with. They were respectful of our space as we are living in the house while the work was ongoing. The project took exactly as much time as he said it would and everything turned out great!
What I really really liked about working with Mike is that he is open and honest. He itemized everything in his estimate. He was upfront about what each part cost and what his labor charges were. Another electrician we were working with earlier just gave us a final price with no real breakdown.
Mike has been a pleasure to work with, is honest, hardworking and I recommend him very highly! And he does have a sense of humor :)

I was having a electrical problem that one bedroom lighting was off and few power outlets had no power.  I called Gary about my issue. He responded right away to my call and scheduled a time next day to look into the problem.   In very short time, he found the short circuit connector and fixed the issue.  I am really happy with his services and the cost is very reasonable.  I will recommend Gary for any electrical problem that you may have.  If there are 6 stars that I can give, I will give him 6 stars.

Richard helped restore power to one of our main outlets on a late Friday evening after. I left him a voicemail and he promptly got back. He is very friendly to talk to. He even walked me through what had gone wrong and how he was fixing it. He is going to be my go to person in future.

These guys are a hidden gem. I needed an EV connection from my panel in the yard to the garage about 75ft in distance  and solicited for service on Jan 2, which Brayan responded quickly to and provided me a quote in person. They area brother team and actually used a measuring tape to determine the path while other vendors just eyeballed it.

We communicated via text and after I secured my charger, they were able to schedule me in the next day. Job was completed quickly and efficiency, clean and professionally installed, and happy with their work. Would work these guys again for other future projects and highly recommend them.

Start from beginning .....It was so easy to make an appointment. Within couple of days I already had Mickey working in my house. My electrical problem was very complicated and involved so many parts you have to consider in order to solve a problem. I got very comprehensive explanation on what is going since I am not good at electrical stuff, so that helped to understand. I contacted Apollo about installing an outlet to charge my car - they showed up right on time, we're super friendly, explained a bit about how my house electrical system worked and installed the outlet in 15 minutes. I'll definitely have them out again for electrical work.

Had a circuit breaker this morning when multiple heaters running simultaneously. Called Alley Electric and the representative walked me through the process of how to turn it back on again. In 3 minutes, it was fixed and everything is back on again. Thank you Alley Electric, now I know who to look for when an electric issue occurs.

I'm glad that I found Raphael to fix an emergency electrical problem. I called Raphael for help with a burning smell on an electrical outlet. He provided a reasonable quote and came in on the same day. I had this company installed a EV charger, scheduling was very quick and the work was done within a few hours. It was during the payment processing that things got so bad that I had to take a time off from work to deal with bank issues. Apparently the check was deposited twice to my account, long story short, this company is willing to cover the overpayments made by the bank, you don't see that kind of commitment anywhere but CA Electrical Group is going above and beyond to help me get back financially. Yes theres still this stigma of overpayment that caused a lot of headaches, time lost at work and schedules disrupted. I only hear about this from other people and when it happens to you, its nothing to be laughed at.    
Given that the bank has already started the investigation why overpayments on two identical checks was processed it will still take 7 to 10 business days to determine the why, the who and the what caused this to happen.
I despise how banks are slow to process claims whether its a credit card dispute or checking issue, but today i take back those assumptions back when my Bank credited the overpayment back to my account, while they continue to investigate this incident.

After browsing a long list of Tesla charger installers, I ultimately chose Fruitdale Electric. Within days of my initial contact, they visited my home and provided a quote, which was much faster than I expected.

On installation day, their technicians arrived promptly. They installed a Tesla gen 3 charger, surge protection, and ran electrical wiring through my attic to the opposite side of the house. Despite the terrible weather at the time, they delivered flawless work.

The location of the charger was a challenge due to the tight space, and I had anticipated conduit running outside of my house. However, they exceeded my expectations and executed an incredibly clean installation with no visible wires or conduits, leaving just a Tesla charger on the wall exactly where I wanted it. Most importantly, my car now charges at a rate of over 40mph, a significant improvement from the previous rate of 4mph.

Jamil and his crew are outstanding. He knows his stuff, honest and forthright and does a thorough job. I engaged him a few times, once to fix some sagging doors and the second time to put up some industrial racks at my garage. Jamil is clear in communication, timely, does outstanding work and goes out of his way to help beyond what is expected of him. Highly recommend.

Horrible services, dishonest, bad communication.

I want to have a wall heater replaced; at first I want to buy a new one myself and have PCHS install it, they agreed; but at the day they send technician, PCHS said they can't install it and I have to pay for a new one. I agreed as most other home services also said I have to pay for a new one.

On Jan 5th they sent a technician to take a look. Technician is a nice guy, and said I should get a quote the next week.

The quote never arrive.

I got frustrated 1 week later, and called PCHS several times. They promised that they are onto it, that I should get a response in a day or two.

The response never arrive.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
