This review is overdue but my experience with Odom Electric has been excellent -- every time.  

We first worked with Rob Odom when installing new lighting throughout the kitchen and living room.  Rob is a straight shooter and was professional all the way.  he took care of things like he was working on his own house.  We had special ordered a chandelier that arrived a couple days after the other lighting work was completed and paid.  I was going to put it up since it arrived late -- but he said it was part of the job and came out to hang it.  Aren't contractors supposed to disappear after you pay?.... not Rob.

Later I had to call him up after I drilled into an electrical line while installing shelves in the soon-to-be baby room.  Rob was able to come out -- arrived on time and knocked out the work at a great price.  He didn't bust my chops about my bone-headed mistake and ran a new line in no time.  My pregnant wife was relieved to know we had safe wiring once again.

Last we contacted Odom electric to move some electrical switches and add new outside lighting.  What i really appreciate about Rob is he took the time to come out and assess the job and give me a detailed quote.  He listens and is totally willing to discuss options -- and not just the ones that make it easiest for him.  The work he did was excellent, clean and professional.

I consider myself a competent do-it-myself man (ah ok, the previous drill meets electrical line incident is not representative) but when it comes to electrical work, its awesome having a good electrician I trust to do professional work at a more than honest and fair price.  I don't hesitate at all in recommending Odom Electric to friends and folks needing an electrician.

Seemed not interested in really solving my other electrical problem (sump pump), because he felt he may get dirty.
Charged me $80 for 10 min work. He just rewired my GFCI. I don't recommend

Excellent. My main breaker wouldn't stay on and he came out and was able to troubleshoot it very quickly. Ended up that it was a relatively simple issue. Nice guy and I look forward to having him out to do future electrical work for me.

We had several electrical outlets that lost power. Anthony came out and diagnosed the problem quickly and gave a reasonable estimate for repair. He was able to finish the job about an hour after he came out. Thanks again

I never really post reviews, but Vinh's service was so absolutely extraordinary I had to post the best review I could.

My husband and I bought an 8ft chandelier in Puerto Vallarta. We knew it would go great in our entry way, but had no clue how to make it to the 20ft ceiling to install it. Vinh came by and assessed the job, even letting me know that there was probably no mounting bracket in the socket where the connection would be made. He gave me a very reasonable quote, including hardware and labor. He finally asked if there was another job around the house he could do only because he felt bad about driving all the way out to Hayward for a simple $500 job. I mentioned that we've been wanting a door in the open archway to separate the master bath and master bedroom. He gave a second quote and said both the lamp job and the door installation (which included dropping the ceiling a bit to ensure the door closed properly!) could be done THE SAME DAY. We balanced the budget and agreed that we wanted to proceed. He came in at exactly 6:59am and got the lamp done by 9p and the door done by noon. They are absolutely perfect and both jobs were expertly done. We have exactly zero issues with either jo and even occasionally marvel at the work and craftsmanship even 2 weeks later.  We will be reaching out to Vinh for more out-of-our-capabilities repairs!

Mike from Fisher Electric was great!  I was referred to him through a home warranty company. He squeezed me in and got the job done quickly and professionally.  I had a very small window for the work to be done.  He came, diagnosed the problem, got the needed parts, and performed the install in a matter of 2 hours.  I highly recommend Fisher Electric!

Excellent experience with Dan. He also made great, and cost effective, recommendations for my issue. I'd call him again without hesitation.

We knew we needed an electrician when smoke started to come out of one of our light switches.  After removing the old switch and capping the wires, I started looking for an electrician who could replace the switch and do some other stuff that I had been putting off for a while.  I reached out to some friends for recommendations, and Brian was one of them.  I left him a message and he returned my call within a day, and a couple days later he came out to look at the work that needed to be done.  He wrote up an estimate, tweaked it a few times to reflect some minor changes, and then we were all set.

He came out today to take care of it all.  Among the things he did was replace a clunky old ceiling fan with a dim light, exchange out all the fan and light switches with new LED-compatible controls, replace the energy-burning halogen hall lights, upgrade the wiring in the garage, and install a new exterior outlet.  He arrived precisely on time and got everything done inside of five hours, and left the place clean and neat.  Outstanding work all around, and the cost of his expertise was very good.

Brian is just a nice guy all around - very cheerful and chatty, and always happy to explain what he's doing.  It's also great to hire a local - he was raised here in the south bay and even went to the same schools as my kids.  Excellent experience - highly recommended.

Finding an electrician or a specialist for networking gear can be challenging.  Luckily for me, I was able to connect with Felipe from Almighty Electric, Inc.  From our first conversation, I knew I was dealing with someone that was honest, fair, and very professional.

My project entailed installing indoor access points, and one outdoors.  Cutting into sheetrock, running CAT6 cable in-wall, and in my attic is no easy feat.  I knew that selecting the right company/installer would be critical to not only my wireless network but also the overall aesthetics of my home.

After discussing all the logistics of the installation with Felipe, he provided me with a very competitive quote as well as a detailed list of the materials needed.  We agreed on a date and time to kick things off, and the rest is history!  Felipe and his crew arrived on time, executed their plan, and got my network up and running.  They work efficiently and very meticulously.  They covered all of their work areas to make sure my floors were protected at all times.  If you are looking for an honest electrician that does great work, give AEI a call.

Our circuit breaker broke around 9pm at night, and a whole section of the house was without power.  Jay was the only electrician that we called that answered the phone that late at night.  He came out, and turned out that the circuit breaker was very old and the plastic had actually fused the various circuits together.  I was worried that he would not be able to make the repair, but he spent over an hour getting the broken circuit out (which was fused and jammed in) and putting the new one in, and we were back in business.  It's rare to get this level of service on such short notice.  Highly recommended.

Showed up as soon as they could to provide an estimate and then again to do the work. When something unexpected arose as soon as our electrician left, I called the office and he returned within minutes and stayed until everything was working perfectly.

Simply the best emergency response ever. We bought an electric Smart Car thinking all we had to do was plug it into whatever outlet we had in the garage. Wrong. Miro from BV came early the morning after I called, assessed the situation, and not only created a safe plug-in for our car, but rewired our entire garage, replacing burned out outlets and outdated wiring with 4 circuits where there had only been one. The price was extremely reasonable, everything was clearly explained, and I almost hope I have an electrical problem in the future so that I can call them again.

AVOID Sonny and SJ Rios Electric at ALL COSTS! I was quoted $170 for him to come to my residence and diagnose my problem with my kitchen and hall way lights. Unfortunately, I was called into the office, so I had my wife stay home to let Sonny and his crew in. I get a call from Sonny telling me how old my house is and how bad the electrical wiring is in the entire house, blah blah blah, and how they don't have time to address the hall way lights, but they will make sure that I have sufficient lighting in the kitchen in order for me to prepare my Thanksgiving dinner for my family who will be staying with us. The final phone call I get from Sonny before he leaves my residence is Al...we had to leave your microwave unplugged and we are only able to get 2 of your kitchen lights to work. The other 2 are shorted out. This is the best we can do. We will need to come back after the holidays to repair all your outdated wires.

No problem. I pay over the phone via credit card as he asks for $212.50. I didn't want to argue with him at that time as I was dealing with clients, so I just paid the $212.50.

Now we get to the good stuff. I get home, turn on the kitchen lights, and only 1 light turns on. Didn't Sonny just tell me that 2 lights would be working out of the 4? Also, he informed my wife that he left the microwave unplugged, however, if we needed to use it, all we had to do is plug it back in. I plugged the microwave in, and the microwave was non-functional. This is when I started doubting Sonny's work.

I then pulled the 1 working light's bulb out, and screwed it into the 3 other lights that were not working. Guess what? All 4 lights turned on, one by one! I then drove to Lowes and purchased 4 new bulbs, installed them, and all 4 lights work, which leads me to believe that Sonny did absolutely nothing to rewire anything or repair anything.

His words to me were that only 2 lights would be working, and that the other 2 he disconnected, as there was a short somewhere. How could he have disconnected those other 2 lights, if all I did was install new bulbs and they start working?

Sonny had no answer for that. All he could say over the phone was well, I don't know....there could have been dust...electricity does some weird things....

This answer did not sit well with me. I am not questioning the time he spent at my home. I am questioning the work that he supposedly did, which was pretty much absolutely nothing! I never authorized $212.50 worth of work. I authorized $170 over the phone.

Bottom line is STAY AWAY FROM SONNY and SJ RIOS ELECTRIC unless you want to get scammed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gustavo is an excellent electrician with excellent customer relation skills also. He always shows up on time when he says he will and does high quality work. He made excellent recommendations for some kitchen lighting in our house and it was executed with great skill. I highly recommend Gustavo and his team. We would not hesitate to use his services again in the future.

Khalif was amazing. He came to our office within an hour of us reaching out to him ready to assess and fix the problem. He was extremely professional and new exactly what he was doing.

We called him for one light and he ended up fixing multiple lights throughout our office and warehouse and for a very, very great price. SAME DAY SERVICE!

Our office looks a ton better now that the lighting is fixed. We'd highly recommend him for business and residential electrical services. You won't regret it.

All the lights went out in our house and Matt was quickly able to track down the problem to a chewed wire in an old panel that had been painted over since we moved into the house 8 years ago. Excellent work at a reasonable price.
