Best Electricians in San Jose, CA

I've waited over 5 months since Cham did a walkthrough at my place and I still have not gotten a quote on a project that included full a/v and security builds at my house. I've reached out a few times reminding them of this quote request and I was consistently ignored.  

I understand that sometimes companies are busy, and even asked them to just let me know if for any reason the project at my place was not a fit for them. Completely ignoring potential customers is very unprofessional and disappointing.

Wife and I am fortunate to have found Jeff on Craigslist. We recently acquired a home in the south bay that required a lot of work. Jeff helped us tremendously and we are very happy with the quality of his work and the level of service he had provided.  This guy is very talented and can do just about anything around the house.

Jeff is very easy to work with, honest, and has great communication skills. I appreciate Jeff  being upfront about the costs and how long each project will take. There were a few things I saved money on by doing it myself. Jeff basically showed me what I need to do and how to do it. If you're looking for someone to do high quality work in a reasonable amount of time, go with Jeff.

We initially wanted can lights only, but take a look at what Jeff ended up doing for us. Below are a list of things Jeff had worked on:

* Installed recessed can lights
* Installed tiles
* Installed crawlspace vents
* Replaced toilets
* Replaced all electrical outlets in the house
* Installed bathroom fans
* Installed new sheet rock

I definitely recommend the Ye Olde Handyman. He has a lot of knowledge about so many things when it come to the repairs you need. I first used Ye Olde Handyman to install electrical for my new hot tub. Ye Olde Handyman has also taken care of the repairs of rotted roof along with the removal of the chimney. Now that the roof is patched any chimney gone time to have him tear out the fire place and patch the floor.

Jaime, who owns JLG Electric was awesome! He came to my house to give me a quote to install two ring (wired) cameras and an EV charger before we agreed to do any work. Jaime was very knowledgeable and gave his honest opinion about the work we had needed to get done. It turns out the ring cameras we had purchased were not ideal for our house set up and the location of the electric panel. Jaime let us know that it was going to be more expensive to install them and we would have to either cut into the walls of our house in order to install them and run a lot of wire to the electric box or drill into the wall of the house to use existing interior outlets. We did not want to do either, so we appreciated his honest opinion and we did not proceed with the ring camera install. Instead we are going to install a ring doorbell camera. Jaime's quote for the EV charger was  very reasonable so we set up an appt to have Jaime come install it. Jaime was punctual and he kept the area clean where he needed to cut into the wall to drop wire into the garage for the 240 volt outlet. He and his partner did an amazing job and we are very happy with the result! Thank you Jaime! We will hire you again for additional electrical needs :)

I need to install a charging station for my new Tesla, and had the most challenging situations one could imagine. Not only did we need to upgrade the circuit breaker, but there's a bee hive right behind the panel!

George came on the same day for a free consultation, and immediately came back the next day to provide a short-term solution, so that I could start charging the car right away. And then he worked with PGE and the city to deal with permit, etc. Most impressively, he and his team worked patiently with my bee specialist to deal with the panel upgrade and solve the bee problem all in one shot! I couldn't be happier with the results!

George, Dan and their entire team are punctuate, super nice and friendly. And they know exactly what they are doing! Hire them for your project and you won't regret.

My wife and I highly recommend Ricardo and his team at High Voltage Electric. He has completed multiple projects for us at our home over the past couple of years, including both small and large scale projects. Most recently he upgraded our home from 100 AMPs to 400 AMPs. The project required multiple approvals from the City of Oakland And PG&E over a 1.5 year period. Ricardo skillfully shepherded us through the process with constant communication, responsiveness, and clarity. This also required him to navigate several Byzantine permit processes during the pandemic. Ultimately the job was completed and he also included a 50 AMP line out to our in ground pool in our yard. Suffice to say that my wife and I were happy with his work and plan to hire him for other projects at our house over the coming years.

I was replacing our outlets + switches and got about half to turn on, and was stuck on where the problem was. I got in touch with Mike and he was very responsive, offering to come out that evening to get our house up and running. Mike was able to fix the problem quickly and give me a few tips for next time. Thanks again Mike, will definitely use you in the future!

I had an issue with a possible circuit blowing after I bought an electric car and tried charging it at home. Even though it was late in the day, Ricky responded within minutes, came over that same evening and fixed the problem for me on the spot. He was very professional and honest, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for an electrician, without hesitation.

I am so glad I found Ron on Yelp! I sent out a work order request on Yelp to install a in house electric car charging station. Out of the 9 electricians that Yelp messaged, Ron was the only one that offered to do a in person consultation on the same day. He came back two days after to do the work. Finished everything in less than two hours. Installed the charging station right at where we wanted it to be. Although he had to cut open the wall to do the work, but he did a great touch up job that I can't even tell the wall was ever cut open. They also cleaned up my garage after they are done. I had a very pleasant experience with RPG Electric - professional and efficient. Highly recommended to anyone who's looking for a good electrician!

My house is built on a slightly sloped grade and the floor was not even throughout the house, in some rooms, the difference of the floor height is over 3 inches. I interviewed three contractors and selected Renopro to work on my project. They replaced the original wooden posts with the permanent screw jacks in the crawl space in a professional and fast way and then adjusted the unevenness utilizing an electrical leveling gauge. I am extremely happy and amazed by the result. Thank you Renopro Construction!

Our front door Smart Lock deadbolt wasn't sliding into place properly, and Dave was able to assess the issue and fix it in a matter of minutes. Adjusted the level of the door, fixed the crashplate position, and now our lock works as good as new. We also brought up our kitchen faucet which had come loose from the counter, and he tightened it up for us. Very happy with his speed and efficiency, and will definitely hire him again for any other issues that come up in the future.

Jim and Jake of Jet Electric are getting the highest review from me. Jake came out in a timely manner the same day I called and asked a couple of questions. He went to work  with a great attitude and solved several problems. I would work with Jake any time and Jet Electric is on our list of preferred vendors.

Hourmouz is very professional.  He arrived on time and performed the work efficiently.  We will definitely call him again the next time we need electrical work.

Have used Dave twice now with great results and will only use him going forward for all my electrical needs.  He is a true professional and gets the job done quickly and correctly while explaining everything needed beforehand.

Used him for:
Replacing hanging light with ceiling fan where we also needed the correct junction box installed to support the fan.

Installing a ceiling fan in a room where there was existing junction box in the ceiling.  He had to run electrical through the attic and even let us know that there was no rodent activity up there in case we were wondering.

I used this service company a couple months ago as my AC stopped working. The technician came and told me I need to replace a part. He put in a new one and my AC was fixed. Things went pretty well until he gave me bill, which was about $1k. I was shocked! Then he explained it included the part, a one year warranty and one year some sort of service. I told him I only want the part which he said that is $500. I was a little suspicious and but gave him my card anyway. Then I asked him if I can see the package of the part, he said he does not have it, and it costs $500 because my AC model was old. At that point, I felt something is wrong and started to google AC part price on Amazon, and guess what, for something looking similar, it only costs $25!! I immediately requested a refund but he said he couldn't do that thus I needed to call customer service. He took off.
I was furious and felt being tricked and ripped off big time. Next day I had to call customer service and asked for refund. To avoid any more trouble on both ends, I propose to them to give me a discounted price on the part and let us be done with. But The customer service insisted on charging me $500 for the part because it is their pricing! WTF 500 for something worth less $25?! Fine, then I requested a full refund which was issued a week later. The technician came back a few days later and took the part back. I later had to find another service company and purchased the part on my own for $25. The new company gladly use the part I purchased and fixed AC again. To summarize, they are dishonest in selling the parts and took advantage of me who appears to know nothing about AC. I write this review only want to let the management know that this kind of business practice is not ok. You should review your pricing and be reasonable, otherwise, you are just breaking your credibility.

UPDATE: I received the repair service in South Bay. I am not the one booked the service though. I don't appreciate you trying to track me down. If you read other one star review, the outrageous pricing is the one most people complain. So again, to whoever is considering use this company, be aware of the charges! My suggestion is to get a quote before accepting any kind of work or you are stuck with a large bill.
