We were so grateful to Jared at Pipe and Plumb for replacing our water heater.  They came immediately and assessed the water heater situation and offered us the absolute BEST price and installation for our new water heater. It was a little complicated because we live in a condo and required a double power vent water heater. We compared the cost to 4 other companies, and they beat the price by hundreds of dollars.

Jared was prompt and responded immediately.  He showed up exactly on time, and completed the service in the time he said he would.

Jared is a cut above the rest. I needed a quote for a new water heater and other places just wanted to do rough quotes over the phone. Jared took the time to come out and inspect our old equipment and provide an actual written quote. Not only that, but he came in the lowest. His work was excellent! I discovered yesterday that the hot water in my house wasn't working.  It wasn't a big deal during the day because it was pretty warm outside and the water was still coming out warm enough.  When my husband finally checked on the pilot light later that evening, it wasn't staying lit when he relight it.  Again, no big deal since school is out & the kids weren't in a hurry to take a shower anyway.  He thought he would let water heater dry out overnight & try to do again in the morning.

When he couldn't light it this morning, we knew there was a problem.  He had to go to work and was able to shower there.  So, I took the wheel to find a person to service the water heater.  YELP sent out 4 inquiries.  Jared was the second company to call me.  He was honest and straight forward explaining that my water heater needed to be replace based on the picture I sent to him along with the conversation we had over the phone.  He was able to come today and replace my water heater!  

Now I'm looking forward to working with Jared to upgrade/remodel both my bathrooms!

Awesome experience! Jared was very knowledgeable and professional. We had a gas leak problem and SDGE turned off our gas due to the leak. He was very quick with completing the project and was a great price compared to others.   Looking forward to working with him again on future projects.

On Christmas Eve I could hear a weird hissing noise in my laundry room. I called Jared and he was able to come out right away was able to determine a leak in one of my hot water pipes under the laundry room floor. He took care of everything for us promptly the day after Christmas, cutting the floor, fixing the pipe, replacing our water heater and making sure to recommend best courses of action. I've worked with him many times on multiple different jobs for me and he is always courteous,  replies promptly, is on time and does a great job.

The hot water in my shower was intermittent. I was worried that my 14-year-old tankless water heater had died an early death. I had another company come out, do very little checking, and quote me $3200 for a new one. I contacted Jared and he started with questions. Lots of questions. He was more curious about identifying and solving the problem than selling me something. His curiosity paid off - my dear old water heater was fine, it was the shower cartridge that was to blame. He replaced it (for far, far less than the cost of a new water heater).  Jared was polite, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. I can not recommend him highly enough. I will 100% call him with any plumbing needs in the future.

We had a couple of jobs - replacing some outside faucets that were leaking, installing our new gas cooktop, and a leaking gasket around the above-counter bowl-style style in our downstairs bathroom (by the way, don't ever buy one of those). I put out one of those quote requests to multiple plumbers in our area, and Jared was one of the first to reply and the only one who provided an actual numerical estimate, which is what I requested. All of the other responders required an in-home consultation before they would give a price - who has time for that for a small list of jobs. I also thought the price sounded about right.

He responded on a Sunday and was able to come the next day. He gave us notice via text before arriving, showed up on time, and got to work. There was a problem with the gas cooktop fit in our counter top, which obviously wasn't his fault - he was still able to install it, but we'll have to retrofit the drawer underneath to accommodate the position of the gas regulator hardware. He had some suggestions on how to do so. All of the other work looks good so far - the faucets and sink no longer leak and the cooktop works.

Overall, Jared was responsive, efficient, professional, and priced reasonably. I'll definitely give him a call for our next plumbing issue.

I have worked with Jared on a few projects now. He has been very easy to work with, very responsive when trying to communicate, and he is always on time and gets the job done in the time frame he tells you. He replaced a electric tank water heater at a rental property and replaced our gas tank water heater with a tankless gas. So, he has shown that his versatility and that he can handle any job. His quote for the work also came in quite a bit lower than some of the other companies I looked into. Thanks Jared!!!

Jared Butler of Pipe and Plumb was the lead plumber on a bathroom addition I had done last year (2019,  Spring) and he was just the greatest. No only was the quality of his work excellent, he took the time to work with me so that the final product reflected exactly what I wanted. A great example of his abilities was that he saw that the hot water connection to the new bath from my existing heater could be improved, and after talking with me about it, he proceeded to figure out how to re-plumb with a new tankless system that has worked perfectly and saved me money on water and electricity.  He's super in all the usual ways, too:  prompt, clean, fair priced, and courteous.  I would definitely recommend his company (Pipe and Plumb) and will be using his services again.

I'm a repeat customer, this was the 2nd time within a year I have contacted Jared for a misc plumbing job. Always very professional, on-time, clear communicator, and great to work with. Would definitely recommend for all types of work needed!

My husband and I wanted to remodel our master bathroom, our bathroom prior was a bit old and dated. The most important thing we wanted was to raise our ceiling height inside the bathroom to create more space. Our bathroom remodeled turned out amazing- beyond what we had expected. With the ceiling being raised, along with an entire bathroom remodel (wall tile, floor tile, rerouting plumbing, shower insert, removal of an older claw foot tub, vanity and fixture installation) our bathroom has been completely transformed and is beyond beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Jared has helped us fix our plumbing in our home. We had leaks and he came in and gave us our options. He did not tell us just one way to fix things. He let us know the routes we could take and how each choice would end up. He was so patient with us and knowledgeable! Jared Butler first worked on a bathroom remodel at our La Jolla home 10/18 installing a new toilet and replacing shower fixtures.  He was able to locate an unusual sized fixture that installed easily without having to tear into the tile and wall. In the summer 2019, he worked on a major kitchen/bath remodel on a rental house in Clairemont.  In the process, he discovered the old galvanized pipes were rotten and ended up replacing all the plumbing.  He handled this unexpected event in a professional, efficient and fair manner.  In addition, he installed many fixtures, garbage disposer, water filter, washer/dryer and tankless water heater on the outside wall freeing up needed inside storage space.  Another challenge of this Clairemont project was the fact that we were out of town for most of the project.  Jared kept good communication with us, accommodated our situation smoothly, and our absence was not a problem.  I highly recommend Jared for any of your plumbing needs and look forward to working with him again soon on another upcoming project.
