I recently bought a gas dryer from western appliance (also reviewed), and after they installed it for the second time, the laundry room still smelled like gas.  I don't like to mess around with gas plumbing as a small mistake an lead to utter destruction of your house.  I called Allied, and they had it fixed within a day.  I also had them change the gas line to the hot water heater, since the previous resident used some sub-standard connector.

Price was high, but commensurate with work and professionalism.  I'd use them again for sure.

Our bathroom sink started backing up water all over the floor. Jorge came over and fixed the problem. He was professional and a super nice guy.

Kory evaluated everything that was required and was able to install everything within an hour. He explained all the work he would do. He did a very meticulous job. We are very satisfied with the work.

Norman is s fully AUTHENTIC handyman.  We hired him to do a difficult  bathroom job for us and his work was excellent.  When Living Social runs a special small service providers can get busy and it can take longer for them to schedule service.  Is this a surprise to anybody?  You are getting a special deal, so please show a little patience.  I was very happy with Norman's work and I recommend him highly.

Avalon Services is a very good. They did my sewage repair in a timely manner. All my paper work was in order; I received my City Of Oakland Compliance.
It is a good experience to have someone do what they are suppose to do and not try to cheat you.

My experience has been outstanding.  100% of the time when I reach out for a plumbing repair or replacement, I get a phone call back the same day; and often available to go to the job site the same day, or next day for evaluation.   That works very well for me.  Additionally, the quality of the materials are top notch.  I have needed water heaters, sump pumps, fixtures, and exterior plumbing needs... all with a goal that they will last a long time to prevent having to replace something within a few years.  I have not been disappointed.  Finally, a few comments about the quality of the work... Excellent, thorough and done with high confidence.  Matt also takes the time to explain the repair / replacement upon completion, and takes all questions about the work, and future directions & maintenance of what was replaced or repaired with the homeowner.

I have referred Smash to friends and family with successful feedback.

I recently bought a few faucets-one of which had troubles with leaks.
The manufacturer was unhelpful, but, the owners of the business bent over backwards to make things right--took back the parts and replaced with all new. These people epitomize the goodness of the small business owner and only reaffirm why we should be supporting them and not the WALMARTS of the world.
I would only buy plumbing supplies from them going forward.

I should have called these guys LONG ago. I was needing some basic toilet running & shower cartridge work-doesn't allow us to completely turn water off... the last plumbers that I called  about the shower asked for a picture (also) of the shower handles and faucet and then never return my calls. I assumed it was either too small a job or that it was complicated since shower is 21 years old...
Austin from Savior came in, confident and completely knowledgeable, changed out parts in toilet and spent some time handling shower issues- done within the hour. Seem trustworthy and kind, polite and clean. I'll be calling them again, should I need a plumber!

I live in one of those very old San Francisco buildings that has very old pipes - which makes it nearly impossible to snake when the drain clogs.

These guys tried their best to do it though! The drain broke their snake the first time, but they went out and replaced it and tried again! When that didn't work, they drove out to Home Depot to try and find a smaller tool that might fit into my drain, but alas, it also didn't work. In the end, the pipes had to be replaced, but I really appreciate how much time and effort they put into trying to find a solution to a tricky problem.

I had a leak under the slab of my house, In demand plumbing responded quickly. They gave me a couple of options and I chose to have my pipes all put above ground in the attic. They were very respectful of my home. They completed the job in 2 days. The price was very fair for the amount of work required. They were quick, clean and efficient. I highly recommend!

I would like to add my recommendation for Bob Cowden Plumbing. I had a plumbing emergency on Sunday evening. I ended up turning to Yelp and a different 5 star recommended plumber responded and attempted to snake my drain then told me I needed to have a grease clogged kitchen drain pipe replaced at $1200.

I called Bob based on recommendations from Nextdoor and left a message. He promptly returned my call and informed me that I most likely did not need the pipe replaced and explained this type of problem should have been easily resolved with a snake by any competent plumber. He also told me even if the pipe was damaged or corroded shut and required replacement he could probably replace it for around $300 plus parts.

In any case, he came over first thing Monday morning and snaked the drain and cleared the obstruction. There was no back up or slow drain at all. I filled the sink to the top and it drained in about 30 seconds! He also installed a new kitchen faucet and replaced a corroded pipe fitting. This was all done at a very reasonable agreed upon price!

Great job to fix my clogged kitchen drain on a raining Sunday morning. Really appreciate.

I own an old home and have experienced my share of plumbing issues and Bart has fixed every one - from replacing an old garbage disposal, unclogging pipes/drains, replacing rusted out pipes and replacing our bathroom vanity and toilet. He works quickly, cleanly and his prices are great. He is extremely responsive, provides clarity on what the issue is and offers different ways to resolve the issue. I have worked with many plumbers over the years and Bart is by very far the best! His work is fabulous and I couldn't recommend him more!

I found Mark Bissell through Yelp a couple of years ago and am so glad I did.  I had a long list of projects for Mark to do and I was really amazed at how many of them he completed in a very short time.  His work is excellent and no job is too small.  He is friendly and resourceful and his truck is well stocked.  Our kitchen sink plumbing had been installed improperly when the previous owner had done a remodel so we were living with gunk spurting up through one of the sinks when the garbage disposal was on.  I had two plumbers look at the problem and their proposed fix was to open up the outside wall of our house for a few thousand dollars.  I asked Mark for his opinion and  in a couple of days he got back to me with a solution he had figured out (on his own unpaid time) and for a few hundred dollars he solved the plumbing problem.  I have called Mark on multiple occasions and he is always right on time.  In short, I highly recommend Accolade Home Services.
