Well, woke up this morning and guess what?? My (almost) brand new Kohler toilet was not doing well. It was running non-stop and the flush lever was all jiggly - no flush action whatsoever. After taking a look myself, I couldn't figure out what could be wrong. It's one of these newfangled toilets with the Class Five Flushing System and very unlike the old toilets I grew up with, so I was at a loss.

Since I just had knee surgery and am unable to climb stairs to the bathroom on the second floor, the operation of the first floor bathroom is of vital importance.

I called the husband home from work and he didn't see anything either, so around 9:30, I started calling plumbers in the area to see how fast they could get here. One said 4 pm - not good. Another said he'd check and call me back - I still haven't received that call. Another said it would take 4 hours for him to get here and it would be $200.00 - ouch!

Then I called Allstate Plumbing in Fremont. The guy who answered was very nice - not sure what his name was. He listened to my problem and said he could get someone out to my house within an hour - great! So he called back around 10 minutes later and said his guy was on his way and sure enough, 10 minutes later, an Allstate Plumbing truck was parked in front of the house. The plumber was a very nice young man - I think his name was Ron. Clean-cut and polite.

The good news is that he looked at the toilet and had it up and running in minutes! Apparently the chain was wrapped around something. All it took was some untangling and voila . . . The Class Five Flushing System was once again in full effect. Even better, they give a 25% discount to Yelpers!

It was a pretty easy fix, but neither my husband or I saw the problem, so I am just glad that we got it fixed so quickly and with a discount!

Prices are reasonable, service is fast and the plumbers are not scary-looking - all good things to have in a plumber. I hope not to have any plumbing issues in the future, but when I do, I'll call Allstate Plumbing!

Jorge 37 did a excellent job fixing a leaky sink and faucet at my home yesterday. I have used Master Plumbing for years for my home and a building I own. They are best. I would recommend that whenever you require a plumber call Master Plumbing.

Luis is so kind and prompt with his service. Two times he has saved me coming out quickly to repair the sink in one bathroom and a shower in another bathroom. He gives options for repairs and explains everything. I 100% trust and recomend him.

We had a clogged sewer line preventing our tenant's toilet and shower from draining (so they couldn't use either).  We called a number of places that weren't able to fit us in until the next week, and initially Mauro's Plumbing said they had a full schedule as well.  When Amy heard our issue, she said she would try to find some room for us, and she did!  It was a huge relief to have it scheduled for that same day.  Oly came out that evening to fix it and he was great. Fast, efficient, professional - he clearly knew what he was doing and dealt with navigating the crowded crawlspace with ease.  He was in and out within an hour, fixed everything, and the price was very reasonable.  We had had another plumber come out two months ago to fix the same problem, but he snaked from the toilet to the drain, whereas Oly went all the way back to the pipes under the kitchen to get the clog out from farther back.  I think this fix is going to last much longer (and it came with a 2 month guarantee!) AND it was less expensive than the original fix.  Highly recommend Mauro's Plumbing and will call them in the future if we have problems!

Super organized and kind family-owned business. We showed up with a long list of items we needed and YaYah had it all pulled in no time.

Timothy (Christopher) is an exemplary journeyman plumber and capable of fixing just about any problem. We called Savior on the spot after our kitchen faucet broke. He was able to install the new one -- as well as nix an annoying clogged sink in our bathroom; fixing two birds with one stone. We'll always go with Savior for our plumbing needs. It's pretty obvious they're head and shoulders above Valley Plumbing, too.

Jeff installed a new bath tub, shower valve, five angle stops, and a tub spout as part of our bath remodel. He did an excellent job and completed the work in the estimated amount of time. His price was fair and competitive. Jeff even offered helpful advice for the do-it-myself part of the job.

Based on our experience from two visits, we trust Jeff' and we are confident in his ability.  When the need arises, we will ask him to bid on future work. He is knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and does a clean job. Everything we expect from a contractor.

I would like to add my recommendation for Bob Cowden Plumbing. I had a plumbing emergency on Sunday evening. I ended up turning to Yelp and a different 5 star recommended plumber responded and attempted to snake my drain then told me I needed to have a grease clogged kitchen drain pipe replaced at $1200.

I called Bob based on recommendations from Nextdoor and left a message. He promptly returned my call and informed me that I most likely did not need the pipe replaced and explained this type of problem should have been easily resolved with a snake by any competent plumber. He also told me even if the pipe was damaged or corroded shut and required replacement he could probably replace it for around $300 plus parts.

In any case, he came over first thing Monday morning and snaked the drain and cleared the obstruction. There was no back up or slow drain at all. I filled the sink to the top and it drained in about 30 seconds! He also installed a new kitchen faucet and replaced a corroded pipe fitting. This was all done at a very reasonable agreed upon price!

The very worst plumbing -drain experience ever!  Because he was not working Thursday, I was able to fully explain to him on the phone, that I already had my drain snaked a week earlier, but no camera/video - and I really needed a camera/video to record the issue in case I needed further work.  I also asked for his warranty - he said 30 days!  This was very clear.  What I needed was the SNAKE/CLEAR & CAMERA/VIDEO!  He snaked the drain, and purportedly ran his $10K camera in it.  I paid him and figured it might take a few days to transfer it to a video for me.  My toilet & shower backed up 7 days later & I requested (1) the CD or recording of the drain & return visit.  He said he did not record it cuz I didn't ask for it!!!  What a lie & joke!  Paying for camera work is extra & expensive!!!  And, when you film something - you expect the record.  He said he would have to start all over again (charge me $750).  The WORST.

Mark is professional, responsive, and incredibly reasonable regarding service costs. I would recommend Accolade Home Services to anyone who needs a home repair - great for that annoying list of odd jobs in and around the house. I'm definitely keeping his number handy!
