Two reviews in one for Allstate.  

My first experience with them was several months ago.  I have a cottage in my back yard with its own water heater, and I discovered a small gas leak in the attached pipe.  The heater closet also needed to be rebuilt, so I called Allstate to fix the pipe and remove the heater.  Kevin came by and did a fine job, but after he left I realized that I needed to have another section of the pipe removed before I could rebuild the closet.  It was totally my fault, but after I called Allstate again and explained the situation, he came back and removed the other section of pipe free of charge.  

Then last Saturday, my old heater for the main house stopped working.  It was time to replace it anyway, so I called Allstate and requested Kevin.  He came out with a heater, but before he arrived I received an email with the results of an energy audit that had been completed the month before.  It was a crazy coincidence, and the report suggested a different kind of heater than Kevin was bringing.  When he arrived just a few minutes later, I was confused about what to do.  He was very nice about it, called his company to discuss it and even waited while I researched it a little bit.  I finally decided to hold off on the decision, so Kevin left but I was having real regrets because I was still without hot water.  

About a half hour later - and remember this is on a Saturday - Jeff from Allstate called, and talked to me about various heater options (tankless in particular).  We decided together it wasn't worth the extra expense, so I decided to go ahead with a traditional tank.  This time, Jeff came out and did the installation, and did an outstanding job.  He installed some more modern pipes on the top of the heater for no extra charge, and when he noticed that the plumbing hadn't been properly bonded to the gas lines, he corrected that also.  We had a really good conversation and he gave me the names of a few other contractors (electrical, etc.) because of how hard it is to find good people who care about their work.  

Jeff and Kevin both belong on that list of people who care.  Both of these situations were complicated by my own mistakes and indecision, but in both cases Allstate was extremely patient and helpful.  Thanks Allstate, and thanks Jeff and Kevin.

George came by and saved my water pipe issue today. He did such professional job and get everything working in a timely fashion. Highly recommended service.

We noticed a lot of water dripping under our kitchen sink this morning.  I crawled under the sink but could only tell that it was coming from the main faucet, and that the flow increased when I turned on the water, hot or cold.  Steve has done excellent work for me in the past, so I called his answering service, and he called me back within seconds.  

Before scheduling an appointment, Steve asked me a few questions.  It turned out that the solution to the problem was very simple.  All I had to do was pull the flexible metal hose out from the fitting above the sink and tighten the fitting between the hose and the faucet.  Problem solved.  No charge.

Norman was very helpful - he was professional and reasonable. I would hire him again as he knew what was needed and completed the work in a timely manner. I would recommend him to someone else as he has a wide ranging expertise.

We bought some new faucets and a garbage disposal and after looking at the  installation instructions, decided to turn to the professionals!  Aaron came to our house within a couple of hours of our call, and had all three items installed within a couple of hours. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and we will call this company again for any plumbing needs.

We went to Powder Room on Monday afternoon 30 minutes before closing time. The old man didn't seem to welcome me and my kids. His tone and physical gestures implied that me and my kids shouldn't come this late. Nevertheless, I tried to behave and talked to him nicely to let him know that I was a serious buyer. He did treated us nicer after I asked him for help. Overall, I would say I didn't feel like I was getting proper treatment from him. Maybe he had a bad day or maybe he wanted to claim his right to  refuse service to any person for any reason.
I told him that my husband and I would come back the next day to make the final decision. He simply asked me who was buying? The pumper, the husband or you?
Whatever he meant, I decided not to come back to his store.

I called and Rahib said he'd try to work me in on New Year's Eve, which sounded great especially on short notice. Unfortunately he wasn't able to because of another job, so he said that he could show up at 8:30 AM on the day after New Year's instead. In light of the holiday and my difficulty in finding someone else, that sounded okay. This morning he didn't show up, didn't call, his voice mailbox is full, and he did not respond to a text message. I can respect that on short notice, someone may not be able to fit me into the schedule. If they tell me as much, that's no big deal; I can find another plumber to help me out. But when someone does give me a specific time they're going to show up, I expect them to be there. This experience did not impress me at all.

Excellent service for all your plumbing needs. Mauro and crew are reasonably priced. They work very hard to cater to individual needs and the area is always left spotless.
The actual work performed is  professional. In this old house, I have had quite a few plumbing issues and similarly, quite a few plumbing companies. Never have I met the service performed by Mauro's Plumbing. Customer service with Amy is a joy.  Highly recommend.

Was able to squeeze me in for a quick repair that a previous service company botched, and within normal hours. 30 minutes. Extremely professional.

We needed the disposal replaced and Fast Response plumbing came to the rescue with prompt service.  Job was done well, timely and friendly service.  Highly recommend!

I was very happy with both times I used Bob's plumbing services this month.  He came on time, showed up with a friendly attitude, protected the immediate area that he worked in, and even got an appliance company to replace my faucet for free with a phone call!  I would absolutely use him in the future.
