Two reviews in one for Allstate.
My first experience with them was several months ago. I have a cottage in my back yard with its own water heater, and I discovered a small gas leak in the attached pipe. The heater closet also needed to be rebuilt, so I called Allstate to fix the pipe and remove the heater. Kevin came by and did a fine job, but after he left I realized that I needed to have another section of the pipe removed before I could rebuild the closet. It was totally my fault, but after I called Allstate again and explained the situation, he came back and removed the other section of pipe free of charge.
Then last Saturday, my old heater for the main house stopped working. It was time to replace it anyway, so I called Allstate and requested Kevin. He came out with a heater, but before he arrived I received an email with the results of an energy audit that had been completed the month before. It was a crazy coincidence, and the report suggested a different kind of heater than Kevin was bringing. When he arrived just a few minutes later, I was confused about what to do. He was very nice about it, called his company to discuss it and even waited while I researched it a little bit. I finally decided to hold off on the decision, so Kevin left but I was having real regrets because I was still without hot water.
About a half hour later - and remember this is on a Saturday - Jeff from Allstate called, and talked to me about various heater options (tankless in particular). We decided together it wasn't worth the extra expense, so I decided to go ahead with a traditional tank. This time, Jeff came out and did the installation, and did an outstanding job. He installed some more modern pipes on the top of the heater for no extra charge, and when he noticed that the plumbing hadn't been properly bonded to the gas lines, he corrected that also. We had a really good conversation and he gave me the names of a few other contractors (electrical, etc.) because of how hard it is to find good people who care about their work.
Jeff and Kevin both belong on that list of people who care. Both of these situations were complicated by my own mistakes and indecision, but in both cases Allstate was extremely patient and helpful. Thanks Allstate, and thanks Jeff and Kevin.

Having used them for our current water heater installation and their quality work a few years ago, we called a week in advance to get an estimate for major work to be done for a new home purchase (several slow drains, improperly installed garbage disposal, broken RO system, 1 main supply upgrade, several leaky pipes). The normal quick estimate time didn't apply to us because the job was so big, so we waited for Jim to come out this morning.
30 minutes late, we called and asked where Jim was, since we'd already taken the morning off for work. Another job. I won't be there until late this afternoon. We called back and politely asked what the problem was. Our fault, he was doubly scheduled. Can you rebook for tomorrow at the same time and waive your estimate fee? Sure, we've got you down. 20 minutes later, they called back and let us know since it was last minute they wouldn't be able to accommodate that, and instead would give us a 4 hour window some other time this week.
Masters, they are not. Nor are we their customers anymore.
Stay away from these guys for anything major. We need the work done but if we can't rely on them to even schedule an estimate correctly, we're certainly not going to trust them to a big job!

Luis the owner did a great job at clearing out a clog I had in my house. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and reasonably price. He gave me some tips on how to prevent future clogs and showed me video of inside the pipes. He also responded really quickly to my messages on yelp and came out the same day to clear out my house drains. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a great plumber and would call him again for any plumbing problems or services in the future.

I called Advanced Quality Plumbing this morning at 9:30am, scheduled a technician to come out between 10am-12pm. Brandon came out around 10:15am, gave me a quote and my options, he provided honest opinions, friendly conversation and most importantly quality work. Quite possibly the best experience I've had with a plumber. I highly recommend this company for your plumbing needs.

According to California State License Board, Norman is NOT licensed to do anything other than paint. He's also taken down his website so the state can't see the jobs he's been advertising....which was definitely well beyond painting!! As I mentioned before the guy is a complete hoax. Since I've filed my complaint, Norman is now trying to make amends and willing to isse a refund. I guess it takes a complaint to a state agency to get this guy to move and offer what is a fair and legitimate refund even though he couldn't be bothered with returning a phone call much less giving me a refund before I complained. Oh, and would I mind taking off my Yelp posting he asks? Not unless I want others to suffer like I did. Think twice before you hire this guy.

Sam, Ino, Jonathan, and Will were an incredible team to work with. We needed to get our sewer lateral into compliance after buying our home, and from the first phone call with Sam, I could tell that Avalon is a straightforward, honest company that strives to do its best for customers.
In the process of shopping around, companies were only giving us quotes for complete replacement. When Avalon came to the house, they did a detailed exam and pressure test, and told us that the system actually did not need a replacement and just needed some repairs to get us to code. In the process, they saved us so much money and time, and as new homeowners, it was VERY appreciated! A special shoutout to Ino for doing the work on the sewer lateral with a smile, and leaving the cleanouts and area around it in better shape than when we moved in. Highly recommend this company to anyone!

Matt is the kind of guy that not only makes sure the job is done, but that it's done right. He is amazing to work with, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend his services.

I recently bought a few faucets-one of which had troubles with leaks.
The manufacturer was unhelpful, but, the owners of the business bent over backwards to make things right--took back the parts and replaced with all new. These people epitomize the goodness of the small business owner and only reaffirm why we should be supporting them and not the WALMARTS of the world.
I would only buy plumbing supplies from them going forward.

One of the things I really like about Rahid was how easy it was to get a hold of him. You call and he answers. If he doesn't answer right away, he calls you back. You deal with him, not an intermediary.
Wearing a mask, Rahid was a few minutes early to our appointment. He came in and quickly replaced the kitchen faucet he had suggested I buy. When asked to look at a dripping bathroom faucet, he determined it only needed tightening and he fixed the problem.
I was more than satisfied with work and the outcome. Really makes me appreciate good workmanship and soooo happy to have a reliable kitchen faucet again!

Had a systemic backup in the house. They came in a few hours, (this is on a Friday afternoon. They wore masks and gloves. Took care of the problem efficiently at a reasonable price. Will call them next time.

Great service, great selection of plumbing supplies, knowledgable and helpful staff, local mom and pop shop. This place is a gem.

This place succeeded where previous plumbers refused to do the work. Previous plumbers said the drain from my bathroom sink going in to the wall was inaccessible because my pedestal sink was too close to it. Those plumbers did not have a drill-snake. They just had bigger snakes. The plumber from Savior had one and cleared the clogged sink in no time without damaging anything! His name was Adam and he was the best! I will definitely be calling them for future plumbing needs!

We have asked Fast Response to come to our home twice & they were great both times. Maleka, office & Eric, plumber were fast, pleasant & fair.
Can't imagine why you would use anyone else.

Bob has done work for me on multiple occasions. He has fixed toilets, unclogged stubborn drains, determined the source of leaking water in my home, replaced a kitchen faucet. He shows up on time, calls to confirm, does great work. His prices are very reasonable.

Mark is the man! I contacted him through yelp with a question and he responded back in 10 mins with an estimate and his availability. I asked him about my water bill being really high, and he helped me troubleshoot a different issue and fixed that on the same visit. He was super professional and trustworthy, and would definitely recommend and use him again!
Thanks Mark!
