Called these guys on Friday morning. My water heater took a crap the day before and I had to take a freezing shower before work. I was looking to repair the water heater my self, but after looking at the thermocouple housing I noticed that the tank had actually popped spilling water onto the burner plate and pilot light area.
So I called and Paul said that a technician would be at my place between 1000-1200. At 1000 the technician Antonio rang our doorbell. I had given Paul the name and specifications of our broken water heater, he sent Antonio out to our place with a replacement just in case. Antonio was great, it took a little bit to contact my landlord to approve the installation. Once it was approved, the new unit was installed quickly. He also gave me pointers on the regular maintenance on water heater units. The old unit was dripping out muddy rusty water which terrified me, and he gave me great information on why that happens and how to prevent it.
Antonio was great, it was nice having a good conversation with a professional who know and loved his craft. Watching him redo all of the piping and fix all of the problems that came from the cheap construction of our place was awesome. I felt bad though that he moved the new and old unit up three flights of stairs. He did so without complaint.
I will be calling these guys again if I ever have plumbing issues.

We found out that our main sewage line was leaking and that you can smell it sometimes in certain closets. Not good!! I don't know about you but I like to avoid having any sewage smell in the house as much as possible. Luckily, Ken and his trusted plumbers came and fixed the problem. They were fast, efficient, and managed to fix everything at a decent price after all. I highly recommend them!! :)

One of our kids threw potato skins down the garbage disposal which then clogged the pipe to the kitchen sink. Explaining what happened and what was going on, Luis knew and had an idea of what needed to be done. Lucky for us, he was able to fit us in to his schedule.  When he arrived, he solved and fixed the problem in no time.  We definitely recommend Luis for any plumbing repair you need. Thanks Luis!

I almost hate to write this because Steve is so good, I don't want to make him hard to schedule when I need him.  He fixed my bathroom and kitchen sinks and got me a new garbage disposal for a reasonable cost.  I thought I would need a main line clean out (mucho expensivo)  but he said no.  He is totally punctual.  Please don't believe me... I want to keep him a secret!

This review is long overdue... Norman repaired a door for us on a small shed in our backyard several months ago. Water had been entering the shed and the door frame was damaged, and we wanted everything repaired before we cleaned out and fixed up the shed to use as an exercise room. Norman did some testing, identified the problem, fixed it and replaced the door trim. We've now installed carpet in the room and have had no leaks or problems since the repair.

In addition, Norman is a true handyman - the kind of guy who just can't help but fix things. In addition to our shed, he repaired the latch on our gate (he happened to notice it was broken and just fixed it for us) as well as our sticking front door. We'd definitely work with him again.

Avalon was quick and communicative. They changed a reasonable price and were honest with their work!

When our water heater started to fail I reached out to my friends to see if anyone had recommendations. A good friend explained that they had a great experience with Smash Plumbing and so, I immediately gave them a call.

The service representatives were timely and professional. Christian, the tech that came out to initially assess the heater, gave me excellent advice for our water heater and recommended that we replace the old (13 years) unit.

The entire process was as painless as it could be. After meeting with him and following his suggestions of buying a new water heater he made the effort to install it the very next day. No problems, and no hassle what-so-ever. He was professional and methodical with his work.

During the installation we spoke and he gave me good advice for how to maintain our water heater and the pipes coming in and out of our condo.

I would highly recommend Smash Plumbing, our experience was nothing less than 5 stars!

Good COVID protocol.  Needed to order a Toto toilet that was compatible with a Toto Seat.  They looked up our model # and gave us options.  We purchased it, paid to have it installed (~$250) only to find out that when we too the seat of the box it didn't fit.  We then had to have the toilet pulled, re-boxed, and taken back.  We ordered a compatible model, picked it up and had to pay another $250 for install.  They took no resposibility for the mistake and refused to offer any compensation.  We needed a new wax seal ring and even made us pay $10 for it.... (2x higher than ACE).  

I would have rated them 4-5 stars if we didn't have these problems.  My point is that the ultimate measure of service is how a business will respond to problems caused by them to their customers.  A real insult and a great disappointment....

Raheb did a wonderful work installing a whole house water conditioner/filtration system. My place has a narrow tandem garage and I had to keep the filter all the way in since there wasn't enough space to keep it right next to the city water pipe coming in to the house. Also the builder didn't expose any loop. So Raheb had to find the loop, cut, weld and do a lot of hard work. Ultimately after 1.5 days he did a very good job of installing it. Though the work was very demanding he never once complained which I really like about him - Very professional and genuine.

Sewer ejection pump malfunctioned.  Mauro's master plumber recommended an upgrade from the model that was installed in 2005 (that model never worked consistently).  We have two months labor guarantee, should it stop working.  So far so good.

This is a great shop. They have all the rough plumbing stuff you need. It's in bins so you can walk around and pick out what you want. Really handy if you are trying to figure it out. Having Sunday hours is a huge deal. They are on my short list of suppliers for sure!

Also good service. I have used Savior now 3 times for various work and each time prompt, professional. Dave came out this time to fix slow running hot water issue and explained and fixed the problem.

Tim went to my rental condo to repair a slow draining tub.  He showed up (Monday, April 11), didn't do the work, and never communicated to me that he didn't do it.  Instead, he simply left me a message saying that he wasnted to talk with me.  I called him back and left a voicemail message, and never heard from him.  Having not hear from him, I assumed the work was done and paid him via his answering service.   Today, over a week later I learn from my tenant that the work was never done.  So I'm left scrambling to find someone who will perform the work.  This wouldn't have happened if he had been capable of communication.

He is uncertified licensed plumber which has no bonds, no warranty, and no profit to customer for any qualify taxes purpose.  Overall, be aware with this Bob Cowden, plenty others quality licensed plumbers out there.

We needed a gas line installed to our fireplace.  Wilver clearly understood and described what needed to be done.  He and his team completed the work quickly and they did a great job.   The price was fair too.  I highly recommend Wilver and Bay Area Plumbing, Rooter and Service.

Another plumbing company said we needed a huge process that would've cost many thousands of dollars. Bart Niciejewski, owner of Everclear, proposed a possible solution that wouldn't even require us to hire him. If that doesn't work, he proposed a back-up plan - also a 10th of the price of the first guys. How many of us have met a plumber that customer-friendly? He's awesome. We have an old building, so we'll definitely need more plumbing work in the future, and we'll definitely hire Bart.

We were recently referred to Mark Bissell, owner of Accolade Home Services, by members of the Palo Alto Menlo Park Parents' Club (pampclub.org/home.php).   Mark came on a Sunday morning, and quickly worked through our list of home maintenance and repair needs. He also provided good advice on additional maintenance items to consider, and on what services he felt confident providing versus work better performed by other specialists. He charges reasonable rates, and works quickly and professionally.  We will turn to him for more of our home maintenance needs.
