He went immediately to work. He realized I didn't really need to replace my garbage disposal and saved me a bunch of money. He also identified other issues that I had while checking out and replacing a leaking faucet. He gave me the  honest approach and not the salesman approach which I extremely appreciate.

As we had a leaky kitchen faucet and a noisy garbage disposal, we called Al, and he came to our house near the end of his workday. He ripped out the garbage disposal, replacing it with a top quality Insinkerator. He installed my beloved Hansgrohe faucet, all in 1 1/2 hours.

His price is very reasonable.

We needed to have some external painting done after having some stucco work around the newly installed patio doors.  Norman finished the job and made suggestions along the way - matching the paint, how long to let the paint dry, when he would come back to check, etc.
We are very happy with his work and his prices.  We have used Norman in the past when installing an A/C unit in one of our bedroom windows - great job!

Ronnie fixed the drip from my tub spout that no one else could figure out. He didn't give up when looking for the source. He was diligent, professional, effective, & affordable. These guys will be my go to from now on. I am so thankful for the excellent service. It's hard to find these days!

Buyers beware!!

Almost exactly 2 years ago, Matt installed for us a new garbage disposal unit. It fell apart a couple of months ago.  Why?  Because he did not use plumber's putty where he needed to.  Basic stuff, right?!  The unit finally was shaken loose and it broke down: leaking and foul-smelly with spoiled food inside.   ONLY 2 years later, I had to pay for a new unit not because the unit stopped working but because it was not installed correctly.  Frustrating.

Speaking of BASIC work not getting done correctly, Matt replaced the flushing mechanism for one of our toilets.   He did not pay attention to where the water level was in the tank before he replace the mechanism.  The tank started to leak very soon.  He came back and corrected his work.  And he charged me $75 for correcting his work.

Then there was a bidet on one of our toilets that was leaking.  He fixed the leak but he tightened the knot so much that I could not replace the bidet when it broke.  He came back and 'fixed' it and again, he charged me $75 for correcting his work.

I did tell Matt I would not use him ever again and I told him I probably would not write him up on yelp etc.  And I didn't.  But this garbage disposal issue is beyond reasonable tolerance.  I am beginning to worry that the job he did for us in the crawl space will go bad soon, too.

The take-away here is it's extremely frustrating to see so many jobs Matt did developed into problems in very short time.  I don't want this happen to those of you considering Matt for your plumbing jobs.   For those of you who have praised his work recently, hang tight.

Wow, what a refreshing experience at THE POWDER ROOM today. They abide by the fact that service is number one. I took my Grohe kitchen faucet in to buy a replacement. John looked it over, took it and cleaned 14 years of gunk out of it and replaced the rubber part and charged me $14.00, all in about five minutes. You have a gem of an employee in John. Thank you again for over the top service.

Apparently Thanksgiving and the aftermath did a number on my kitchen pipes, and I had a terrible clog with standing water in both sections of the sink.  Neither plunger nor liquid drain-declogger did a thing. I saw the great reviews for American Home Plumbing Service, called first thing this morning, and Raheb was here before noon!  He took care of the clog, was meticulous about cleaning under the sink, gave me some good advice about what to put down/not put down the disposal, and was friendly and professional.  So happy I called!

Our problem was no problem for Mauro. We had a leak in our pressure valve. We tried to fix it. Lol. Need less to say we didn't have the right tools. Mauro was very straight forward knew what needed to be done and was out in record time! If you need someone who knows what he is doing call this local East Bay company. Plus they have very reasonable rates.

They were still open during this pandemic. Very helpful and were able to find the problem instantly. They came next day to have the repairs done. I appreciated them coming in a time like this.

They truly are Saviors! We had a leak in the wall behind the shower and had to shut off the main this morning. Even though they were booked solid they found a way to squeeze us in today so we could turn the water back on. Always reliable and reasonably priced! Thanks, guys!

Billy was great! Gave me a bit of education on what could be clogging my kitchen sink. They were the lowest quote I got after calling 6 separate companies, but the quality of service definitely reflects that of a top-notch business. Would use again 100%

My sink leaked and I thought it was one of the hoses. Contacted In a demand who booked an appt for the next day. I sent a pic if the issue and They did suggest a new faucet so in order to be prepared purchased this at Lowe's.
Josh was punctual, professional And Upon inspection it was confirmed the faucet was corroded, and upon closer inspection the disposal was also a mess so he replaced it as well. Good service, work performance more than satisfactory. Great value!

I've had Bob Cowden fix several things at my house, including unclogging pipes, installing a garbage disposal, installing new shower fixtures, etc.  His communication with clients is excellent, he returns calls quickly and shows up on time.  The one time he was running a little late, he called to let me know and told me what time he would be here.   I could not be happier with his plumbing skills and have never had any problems whatsoever with his work.  

He is very down-to-earth and friendly and easy to get along with.  He's even great with my pets.  He is eager to do whatever it takes to make the client happy.  A couple of times he's finished the work, then asked if there was anything else he could do at no extra charge since there was still some time left.  Seriously, how often do you hear providers so concerned about making sure their clients get their money's worth?

If you are looking for a plumber who is responsible, friendly, and really knows his stuff, look no further than Bob Cowden.  As long as he's in business, I will never have to hire another plumber.

I bought a Toto Washlet and despite a claim in the review I read that it was easy to install, I found it to be anything but. I finally gave up and decided to call a plumber (something my wife suggested I do five hours before).

I called Bart Saturday morning and a few hours later he was over at my place. It took him about ~60 minutes to finish the job and the final price came in right what I was expecting.

He was a pleasure to deal with and very competent. I'll be using his services again. Thanks Bart!

Mark did an excellent job installing an exterior light sconce, a range hood vent, a new toilet, and a toilet bidet seat. He was very professional and efficient. He was even nice enough to come do this on a morning of a weekend, to accomodate my schedule! He had all tools and other parts in his truck, in case he needed it, which he thankfully did not. Highly recommend using his company!
