I have been screwed more times than I can count by predatory plumbers, charging ridiculous amounts of money for almost nothing, especially during emergencies.  It got me to the point where I just tried doing the repairs myself.  However, I ran into a water heater job that I was making worse by trying to repair myself, and also realized that bad plumbers led me to screwing around unknowingly with gas lines!

I found Allstate Plumbing listed in the BBB directory, so I gave it a chance.  Michael, the plumber who came out, was honest, professional, informative and charged a very reasonable amount.  He didn't make me feel stupid for the mistakes I had made.  He also discovered a rotted pipe behind the wall and did a rapid and clean repair to that.  They serve the whole Bay Area, and they are now my one and only people to call for plumbing work.

I had an emergency sewage backup at my house yesterday and an unhappy family who couldn't use water (nor the toilets!) until it was fixed.  Not so pretty.  Upon calling Master Plumbing I got helpful service including how to deal with the challenges at hand, and a reasonable appt. time the same day. Good so far.  

The tech showed up when promised in a cool looking truck full of gear. On his uniform I noticed his name is Jamar.  Understated, polite, informative, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, VERY helpful and patient.  A good overall attitude--nothing outrageous, just solid.  He got the work done in a reasonable amount of time.  I asked for more and he was happy to help. (They charge by the hour which is fair).  As a small business owner I know how important your people are, and how they represent your brand when you're not around.  Well, to the owner of Master Plumbing--nice hire, and I assume nice training and guidance as well!  Jamar is a great asset who improved your brand equity-- yesterday with me, today with Yelp, and in the future with the word of mouth recommendations I'll pass along to my friends.

I'm writing this to put in a good word for the company (*****), but mostly because I appreciate good workers and I'd like Jamar's boss to be aware of how he is contributing positively to the company.  I hope he has opportunity for advancement and growth so you don't lose him, and he might help build the business stronger.

Luis came thru for us last minute when both of our toilets went out of service! He was at our house within like 15 minutes! It was even on a Sunday. We were in a panic because we had a house full of kids and we were getting ready to have our weekly Sunday Dinner! And every other place we called couldn't make it out til the next day! He was a life saver. Thank you Luis.

Steve is the only honest plumber I've ever met.  I'm a property manager and I've hired plenty of plumbers.  Steve knows his job and his fees are reasonable.  A pleasure to work with!  Thank you!

I never give reviews online, but feel compelled to do so for Norman. From start to finish, Norman was very professional. We had a variety of things that needed to be fixed, and Norman addressed them efficiently and effectively. He was always responsive, clear, and transparent in his dealings with us. He happily answered all our questions, even those unrelated to the house repairs (he knows a thing or two about bikes!). I have no qualms contacting Norman again for any problems that may arise at our home. I highly recommend his services.

Matt is a dream of a plumber: knowledgeable, courteous, careful and customer-focused. He quickly diagnosed a couple of faucet problems I had in different rooms and regretfully told me that I'd need a new faucet for one of them (he doesn't like his customers to have to pay too much). My new faucet is great and he even found one that matches well with the no-longer-made original. He needed a part for the other problem and since he was out of town for a few days and thus not able to get right to it, he later installed the part for free because of the wait.
The plumbing profession needs more people like Matt.

I had a great experience at The Powder Room.  I bought a bidet toilet after getting some really helpful information from John.  I had some specific requirements and he helped me find the best options.  He also helped me pick out some shower fixtures.  I highly recommend coming here.

Raheb was prompt when we called him for a water heater repair. Although he could have charged me for parts and labor that does not need to be replaced, he made the right diagnosis and fixed the issue in no time. It was a simple pilot light issue. Looking at his work, I also requested he fix a kink under my sink and he did a quick fix right away. I loved his work ethic and his straightforward feedback on issues. Would recommend him any time and would call him back if any plumbing issue arises.

I had a bad leak in my hot water pipe as well as a clogged drain; I called Mauro's and the friendly and helpful person on the phone sent out Oly.   He turned off the water to the kitchen for a temporary fix, then came back out and fixed the pipe.   It was not an easy job, he had to go through the kitchen wall, but did an outstanding job.   I have my kitchen sink back and a working drain, call me one happy camper.   Great job, Oly, thank you!!!

This is an Awesome, Kind, Generous and Family Owned plumbing supply store. Give back to your local stores. Great and reasonable prices. They even beat other prices.
Open on weekends? YES! So, when big corporate supply stores close on Saturdays at noon, and closed entirely on Sundays, A Street Plumbing, is open on weekends, what? Yeah, a huge help when I work on the weekends and customers need a water heater of great quality.
I always look to, A Street Plumbing, whenever I can when I'm in their area, as well as, when I'm not in the area. Just to get the job done that day for the customer. Instead of having to wait 1-2 days until Monday or Tuesday, due to holiday schedules, when big corps are closed for inventory, etc.
All employees have always been so very helpful. No issues ever. They all have gone out of their way, went above and beyond, what a customer can ask of a business worker. Even gone out their very own personal lives, to assist me in getting a specific plumbing part, an Assemby or a heater unit, I needed direly, to complete any of the jobs I've encountered that they've been my go to plumbing supply first.
I've referred customers or other workers of the trade, in going on by to, A Street Plumbing.

I contacted Savior Plumbing for a toilet replacement. I had been waiting for 4 days for a follow up call/email to make an appointment but I no one contacted me. I called again and was told someone will contact me to schedule. I had to make arrangements with another company. Not pleased with customer service.

I gave up after several attempts to schedule a service appointment with them. I was always told the same thing - I'll check for availability of the service technician and call you right back. After a couple of days of not hearing back from them, I called them back to follow up and, again, was told the same thing. If I have to chase after them to schedule a service appointment, that is not a company that I should be doing business with. Very poor follow through on their part. Fast Response? What a joke!

I didn't get the &10 coupon..what I got was a  technician who answered every question before work started. Russell was efficient , respectful and just a hella nice guy.  He left the area around water heater clean , that is always a +  . If you need plumbing work ask for Russell you will be happy

Bob has been a hero on two plumbing emergencies. He is responsive, honest and will look out for other issues. Look no further if you are looking for quality, fair rate, no-nonsense upselling and friendly service.

We needed a gas line installed to our fireplace.  Wilver clearly understood and described what needed to be done.  He and his team completed the work quickly and they did a great job.   The price was fair too.  I highly recommend Wilver and Bay Area Plumbing, Rooter and Service.
