Well, woke up this morning and guess what?? My (almost) brand new Kohler toilet was not doing well. It was running non-stop and the flush lever was all jiggly - no flush action whatsoever. After taking a look myself, I couldn't figure out what could be wrong. It's one of these newfangled toilets with the Class Five Flushing System and very unlike the old toilets I grew up with, so I was at a loss.
Since I just had knee surgery and am unable to climb stairs to the bathroom on the second floor, the operation of the first floor bathroom is of vital importance.
I called the husband home from work and he didn't see anything either, so around 9:30, I started calling plumbers in the area to see how fast they could get here. One said 4 pm - not good. Another said he'd check and call me back - I still haven't received that call. Another said it would take 4 hours for him to get here and it would be $200.00 - ouch!
Then I called Allstate Plumbing in Fremont. The guy who answered was very nice - not sure what his name was. He listened to my problem and said he could get someone out to my house within an hour - great! So he called back around 10 minutes later and said his guy was on his way and sure enough, 10 minutes later, an Allstate Plumbing truck was parked in front of the house. The plumber was a very nice young man - I think his name was Ron. Clean-cut and polite.
The good news is that he looked at the toilet and had it up and running in minutes! Apparently the chain was wrapped around something. All it took was some untangling and voila . . . The Class Five Flushing System was once again in full effect. Even better, they give a 25% discount to Yelpers!
It was a pretty easy fix, but neither my husband or I saw the problem, so I am just glad that we got it fixed so quickly and with a discount!
Prices are reasonable, service is fast and the plumbers are not scary-looking - all good things to have in a plumber. I hope not to have any plumbing issues in the future, but when I do, I'll call Allstate Plumbing!

Ken arrived within the promised window of time and was able to quickly clear a clog that was is in a common line beyond the P-traps. Another plumbing company was unable to clear it.

Luis quoted me about 25-30% less than anyone else to clear my sewer line. Most notably, he came after closing time late into the night. If that wasn't enough, he did it for free the second time (we were flushing a lot of things on the 'do not flush list'). Anyway, this is who you want to call; someone who will bend over backwards to get your problem solved. Thanks again Luis

My master bathroom came remodeled when we bought it. Turned out the remodel had a poorly installed shower drain that wasn't glued properly and would time-to-time leak into our kitchen. Additionally, the master bath has a soaker tub that had a cracked join and had an access door that hangs over our backyard. Whenever the tub would drain, it would just pour its contents into our backyard. This tub leak was hard to fix and we've contacted two other plumbers to scope the problem but none said they could fix it.
I called Advanced Quality Plumbing on Monday, they came over to scope the work the next day. And on Wednesday, they came to fix it in one day. I am grateful they were able to figure out our issues and fix it in such a short turnaround.

This review is for Ray, the plumber that Norman will refer you to if you're in need of certain plumbing repairs. Ray called me without delay to discuss the project and set an appointment to view the project . He arrived on time, was honest and available within a few days to do the job. The job was a bit tricky and definitely required both patience and experience. I was delighted to discover that just as he promised, he had plenty of both. He never seemed bothered by what I'm sure he thought was a PITA job. The work turned out awesome, I couldn't have been more pleased. I will call Ray for future work without hesitation.
So all I know about Norman is that he doesn't do jobs above his comfort level and can refer you to the right person.

We had Zach out at our house today and he was awesome. We've been dealing with an ongoing clog in our line. With (4) kids ages 5 and under we experience many of these scenarios with toys/items going down without us looking- This time around has been quite a lot of work to figure out. Avalon has been patiently and consistently working through the jam in our line. They used great technology by sticking a camera down to show me in real time what's going on. They went above and beyond to get into my crawl space to ensure what the pathway of piping looked like so that way the resolution was thoroughly examined before opening things up. 5 stars all around! Keep up the great work.

Matt has changed our bathroom sink, shower faucets and toilet. He's very responsive and knowledgeable. I trust him with all my plumbing needs. He's easy to get a hold of even to get my small questions answered.

The Powder Room set a new high in customer satisfaction in my book. I bought a cartridge to fix a leaky Grohe faucet but ran into problems trying to take the faulty cartridge out. I took the entire assembly out and went back to the store to see if I could get a new assembly instead. John looked at the part and told me to wait. He quickly ran across the street and asked one of the car mechanics to help. John came back a few minutes later with the faulty cartridge removed. He then replaced it with the new cartridge I bought a few days ago. Problem fixed without additional cost. In my book this is customer satisfaction at the highest level and is hard to come by. Thank you, John!

I needed help with extending the gas line from garage into the kitchen. I am glad I found Rahib. Excellent workmanship, fair pricing, attention to details and highly professional, on-time. He pretty much has a machine shop on his truck so the job moves fast, no wasting time. Going forward for any plumbing needs I am planning to reach out Rahib.
I highly recommend Rahib for any plumbing / gas lines needs.

Our upstairs toilet water wouldn't stop flowing (not obvious why) and the wall valve wouldn't close. Crew arrived on time and completed the job quickly, efficiently, and most of all, correctly. Their work was impeccable and they were extremely friendly. More than a year later, the repairs have stood the rest of time. Had them come over again recently, and received the same friendly, timely, and professional results. Amy in the office is also super helpful and promptly returns calls. Mauro Plumbing is my first call when I need a plumber. Highly recommended.

Wow! Rented a large tool from this place and what a different experience than Home Depot. No wait, brand new equipment, really friendly service. And the price was amazing - $75 for a stump grinder that Home Depot charges $138 for (although this may be limited time pricing since they have a sign saying 50% off). Still - they made it so easy to rent from them that even if it was a little more I'd still be happy. I'm definitely coming back.

Over the span of the last 3 years, I've used them to replace both toilets, my water heater, and kitchen sink. That's what happens when you buy an older home. It all needs to be replaced.
I even had them install the sink I bought. They would have bought it, but I found it at a large do-it-yourself store and they admitted they couldn't beat the price I paid. Haven't had a leak or problem with any of these projects yet.
The appointments were made around my schedule. They showed up on time and worked efficiently; cleaned up their mess; and all for a fair price.
I'd have no hesitation recommending them for your plumbing needs.

I had the opportunity to work with this company two or three months ago. Now that I've cool down, I feel that I should share what I had to go through. I had them look at our toilet because it didn't have that powerful flush. They didn't know, so I had them change the unit inside the toilet. I gave them a new unit from Lowes to install. They didn't bring a rag or a bucket so, I had to give them one. It took them a long while to figure out how to remove and install the new unit. I'm thinking, okay... I also had them unclog the bathtub. They walked to the other side of the bathroom wall. Then they went to the main outlet in back of the house. They were trying to decide which one to open up--the wall or the main outlet in back of the house. I told them not to touch the wall or the main outlet. I told the idiots (I didn't tell them what I was thinking) that they are here to unclog my bathtub. They took off the pipe underneath the sink and snaked it. Then they sawed off the existing pipe on the wall. Here I'm thinking, What the fuck! Was that necessary? One of the guys couldn't saw the pipe off, so the other did it. I asked them why did they have to saw the existing pipe off. I didn't get an answer. They talked among themselves in another language. I wanted them to unclog the bathtub, not reconstruct my bathroom! To top it off, they finished off by putting the old and bent donut cap back on of which they had ripped off. I said to them, Uh... you can't be done... That will be $475. I followed them out to their truck and told them if they had forgotten to put a new donut cap on. They told me, No. It's just that we don't have one that fits. Besides, we've spent enough time here. Sorry. I was fuming. I was livid. I told them that if they don't have the part, they need to go to Lowes, Home Depot or a hardware store to get what they need to finish the project! They came back with the part. I was reluctant to pay them. But I did. I felt like I didn't get what I paid for. I paid top dollars for a licensed plumber. But, instead they sent me not one but two apprentices. I didn't pay them to hang out at my house to try to figure out! I just hope the pipe they sawed off won't cause any problems later. I could hardly say these guys were Fast Response. This project took over four hours. And no! I am not a repeat customer. If anything, I put them on my never to call list and give them a no star!

Jeff was very quick to reply to my request a quote, reasonably priced, easy to deal with and did a great job. On top of it such a nice guy. Would use him again for plumbing. He fixed our sewer outflow and was done by the allotted time. He also fixed a few other leaks. He was a pleasure to deal with from quote to payment. Thanks Jeff!

Bob has done work for me on multiple occasions. He has fixed toilets, unclogged stubborn drains, determined the source of leaking water in my home, replaced a kitchen faucet. He shows up on time, calls to confirm, does great work. His prices are very reasonable.

We needed a gas line installed to our fireplace. Wilver clearly understood and described what needed to be done. He and his team completed the work quickly and they did a great job. The price was fair too. I highly recommend Wilver and Bay Area Plumbing, Rooter and Service.

One of the kids broke a sprinkler PVC pipe which caused a water geyser to erupt in the backyard. Called Bart and he showed up early within the window of service and after less than an hour he was able to cut, cap and fix the break. He was professional and very personable. Would not hesitate to call him again with any plumbing issue.

The bathroom fan was leaking water every time we took a shower. I don't know much about plumbing or electricity but I do know that water and electricity don't mix. I emailed Mark in the morning and by the afternoon he emailed me back with an appointment. He came a few days later at a time that worked for us, sorted out our issue and fixed our problem quickly and efficiently. He explained the possible issues, our solution, and it was all done at a fair rate. What also really appreciated was his cleanliness. He wore booties when walking around the house and was just really respectful of trying to keep things in order. I will TOTALLY book him again for handyman services. If you don't know what you're doing with home improvements in your home call Mark. Sure you can watch Youtube videos and sort it out , but honestly you're going to save time and money by hiring this dude.
