We called Allstate Plumbing after seeing positive reviews on Yelp. Our shower valve in our master bathroom would not regulate hot and cold.
Eddie from Allstate Plumbing promptly arrived and got to work. He removed the cover plate and determined that he could not remove the pressure valve because it was stuck. We then had to replace the whole shower valve assembly. He drove me to our favorite hardware store, Dale's Hardware in Fremont, to help me pick out a good shower valve.
We came back to install the Delta shower valve. He showed me where to saw a cutout in the sheet rock in the closet that was behind the shower so he could have access to the plumbing. He removed the old shower valve and then soldered in the new one. Everything works great and I would definitely call them with any future plumbing needs!

I recently had a major plumbing problem in my condo.  It involved the sewer and took Jose over two hours.  As of yet, I have not received the bill, so I can't speak to that.  But I can tell you that Jose was wonderful, very capable, and a nice person too.  He came out exactly when he said he would.  I had called our homeowners' association about the problem, and now I know why they use Master Plumbing.  I'm reading that their prices are right too, and I am writing this review in spite of the fact that the bill has not come yet.  Another reason to go with them.  Reliability and know-how plus respect for your home.  What's not like?

I was very pleased with the service I received. Luis is very thorough and very helpful. He explained as well as showed me what repairs were needed. I found a good plumber!!

I'm 76 and have had many plumbers through the years. I had a water heater problem; it had ruptured and water running out the garage. They cam within a few hours. Three men worked for 3 1/2 hours giving me hot water again. They cleaned up with a wet vacuum.

Review for San Mateo Handyman (Norman)

We called Norman a couple of weeks ago to take care of a few handyman projects around the house. This included

replacing kitchen faucet
resurfacing / repainting kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom walls
Installing hanging shelves in the kitchen and bathroom

Norman was able to match the paint for our walls perfectly. The faucet he helped us install is great, and the shelving was done as well as can be expected.Norman was great to work with. He was kind, knowledgeable, and totally willing to answer any questions both my fiance and I had.

In addition, Norman was able to help us with referrals to other jobs that we needed around the house as well. Norman definitely fits the bill as the San Mateo Handyman!

Needed a water heater replaced and after talking with Will, he sent a couple of his guys who were in and out. New Bradford White water heater is great, price was great, and service was great. Even more important, they were honest enough to save me $700. I told them I needed a new PRV valve based on a different company's recommendation (see my other recent review), and they confirmed the valve was working just fine. Definitely have my future business.

My Tankless water heater basically blew up after years of working great.  Aaron and Matt picked up the phone be the first ring and immediately trouble shooter the symptoms with me.  

Without me asking they were on the phone with Navian ordering me replacement parts.  Unfortunately the parts took a week to get her because of a holiday.  Instead of me being without hot water for a week they came and set up a temporary water heater at no charge while we waited for the part.  

I was shocked at the great level of service and care that I received from smash plumbing.

I had water leaking from my upstairs shower through the downstairs ceiling.  I called another plumbing company that came out for a service call and gave me an estimate of $800-1100 to open the wall and replace the entire shower plumbing assembly.

That didn't seem right to me.  I talked to these guys. They were very nice, patient and helpful.  I bought a $30 part and repaired it myself.

Raheb was amazing!  Such a great vendor to work with.  I was looking for a gas leak specialist and he came to the rescue.  When it comes to gas leaks, it's very stressful and unanticipated due to the uncertainty and urgency of the situation and he was extremely responsive and knowledgeable.  He was able to come later that day, assess the situation and immediately get to work.  He communicated the situation very clearly, was very honest and transparent about his process and made things very simple.  Also, very pleasant and customer oriented.  Highly recommend him!

Great family owned plumbing supply in the east bay. They have just about any plumbing supplies you'll need, whether your a plumber, or an average joe trying to fix his toilet. They are cheaper than Home Depot in many areas, but not all. The staff are always friendly and excited to help you and are generally very knowledgable. Plenty of room for Parking and loading up trucks. Will definitely be back.

Great service, reasonable pricing.  I had Savior do several jobs for me ranging from toilet repair, to installing a new garbage disposal.  The work was estimated in advance and there were absolutely no surprises.  Even had one minor problem with one of the jobs, and they came back the next day to fix at no charge.  Highly recommended.

Our toilet has had ongoing issues because the pipes are clogged with feminine products from the previous tenants, so from time to time our toilet doesn't work (there's more to the issue and how it could be fixed in the long term, but that's not the point). So, this time when it stopped working again, the landlord called Fast Response Plumbing. When he got there, I told him what issue we've been having and he glanced at the toilet then went outside then came back in and told me he called the city to deal with it. Side-note: other plumbers have been able to get the toilet working again without having to call the city. He also told me how bad feminine hygiene products are for the pipes and when I told him I know that, he was looking at me like he didn't believe me. I also felt the need to explain to him how all the other employees know not to do that. Then he told me that I should put up a sign to not flush feminine products (which is already there and he would have seen if he even step foot in the bathroom) or take out feminine products out of the bathroom TO DISCOURAGE PEOPLE FROM USING IT. I wish I asked for his name but I was really in shock the way he was talking to me.

Being mansplained why feminine products are not good for pipes and gaslit into the whole issue being my fault was an incredibly negative experience.

I needed a last minute toilet unclogged and Jeff was very receptive and helpful in getting us in within the hour. His tech came out, Russell, within 30 minutes from hanging up and he couldn't have been nicer! He took the time to talk to our 8 year old who clogged the toilet and explained to him different ways to eat more fiber. Didn't hard sell anything, just came and did his job and left! I would definitely use Jeff and his guys again!! Thank you!

I was very happy with both times I used Bob's plumbing services this month.  He came on time, showed up with a friendly attitude, protected the immediate area that he worked in, and even got an appliance company to replace my faucet for free with a phone call!  I would absolutely use him in the future.

Great job to fix my clogged kitchen drain on a raining Sunday morning. Really appreciate.

We called Bart at Everclear for a simple clog issue with the washer and kitchen. It did not turn out to be simple, as Bart was able to assess some long-standing problems with the related pipes based on how old they were. He was very honest and clear with how he explained the problems to me, and he was extremely fair with the pricing of his work. In all, he had to replace a p-trap assembly and at least 60 feet of pipe in the crawlspace, and he showed me the rusting and clogging of the old pipe. The job and assessment was done in a day in a half, and even helped out on a couple of smaller plumbing issues around the house. Bart is obsessed with plumbing, and I would recommend him to anyone with any level of plumbing issue in their home!

Mark fixed cracked ceiling plaster in several places. Did a great job, was very responsive.
