I needed a replacement water heater and fast!  No time to play phone tag with message machines and such.  Allstate came out on time and did the job at a fair price.  Glad I called.

Had an emergency and made an appointment for the next day cause they couldn't help me that day of. So the next day of the appointment the company said they would come out between 12 and 4 pm.  They called couldn't get a hold of me and sent their technician somewhere else. I called them back within 30 minutes and they said sorry they already sent their technician elsewhere.  It was only 2:30 pm and the first thing the operator said by the way if the technician has to work after 6pm they would have to charge $220 per hour.  Instead she could have said i will try and get someone there as soon as possible but if it happens to be after 6 we would need to charge $220.  It sounded like all they wanted to do was make sure they got paid when they haven't even been to seen the job yet.  I said forget it.  Never will I call this place again.  I then called on time plumbing at 2:30 cause we needed to get our sump pump fixed and told him it was an emergency he came out in 30 minutes and started to work.  Our sump pump was quite complex and when he took it apart found out that there was blockage somewhere.  He stayed up all night at my house to fix the problem as he tried snaking but had to do it for a long time because the blockage wouldn't open and then finally at 4 am in the morning he fixed it.  I am very happy with his work and he was so honest and charged me a very reasonable rate.  1/3 the price that master plumbing was charging me.  

So please use on time plumbing.  Very trustworthy.

We had a emergency situation that the water won't go down as something was stuck in our sewer pipe. Even though we called Luis in the afternoon on Saturday he still came at night trying to help us. Sincerely give us the advice to prevent future problems that could happen. Made sure everything is working well before finishing the job. He charged an affordable price. I highly recommend him and I surely will use his services again.

This was easily the best plumbing experience of my life.

We called last night at 8 and Steve called back within minutes and showed up early on a Saturday at 7:45am. He didn't go into quote mode. Instead, he did a quick inspection and started working. Unfazed by the fact that our drain conduit was worn, he climbed up the roof with a snaking tool and just started clearing pipe.

Incredibly friendly and intelligent, he is not your typical plumber type. He mentioned he use to do QA for an electronics company and it shows. He's cool under inconclusive circumstances and doggone nice.

Steve finished in under an hour and now our kitchen and garage doesn't look like Dagobah. We ran a load of clothes without flooding the garage again.

And even though we didn't get any other quotes, I'm certain that had we gone to one of the big-ad-in-the-yellow-pages guys, they would have been here all morning and we would have paid double or triple. Why? Because we've been there.

I am certain our crazy house is going to need more plumbing in the future and actually look forward to calling on Steve again.

BTW, Steve is is middle name, but he is the proprietor of Alfred Williams Plumbing.

I contacted Norman, the San Mateo Handyman, when I had a leaky valve behind my toilet.  He quickly diagnosed the problem over the phone, informing me that the source was the toilet angle valve. He put me in touch with Robert, one of his business partners. Robert came by the next day, and replaced the valve with a new flexible valve (much more likely to withstand an earthquake).  He gave me a package deal, also repairing the soft-close toilet seat, which would have cost much more if I replaced the entire toilet seat (the only option the toilet manufacturer offered).

Both Norman and Robert are expert handymen, with decades of experience.  They are both very professional, friendly, and down to earth.  I happily and fully recommend them both.

Avalon Services is a very good. They did my sewage repair in a timely manner. All my paper work was in order; I received my City Of Oakland Compliance.
It is a good experience to have someone do what they are suppose to do and not try to cheat you.

I fully recommend Smash Plumbing after multiple first-rate experiences. Garbage disposal installation, water heater installation and pipe repairs ... Matt and his team have been responsive, knowledgeable and affordable each time. Personal referrals have even made Smash Plumbing known among some of my neighbors. Matt is a 100% genuine family man who stands behind his and team's work, even warranting everything that is installed. I've had no issues with the installations and repairs after many years and he's been helpful and reliable in each project.

My wife wanted me to write this review on her behalf ... over the past couple of years, we've been to many different home renovation/specialty boutiques up-and-down the peninsula for various home projects.

However, she loves this place! A little while back, she purchased a shower head, shower trim kit, and tub stopper - only to find out that our contractor had purchased a similar set a month before! Upon returning the items to the store, the owner was very gracious and understanding - accepting the return with zero problem.

We've shopped here before and they've always been exceedingly helpful with selection, demonstration, and comparison of different items. I would highly recommend this store for any bathroom project and we will shop here again!

I came home to a busted pipe. I called American Plumbing Service and they were here within 20 minutes. The fix was quick and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them!

Definitely satisfied with Mauro's Plumbing!

Mauro came to survey and a few days later Amy facilitated two great technicians to get some work done for us. They replaced our outdoor water main and pressure regulator, replaced our kitchen faucet and troubleshooted a complicated drain link which required going into our crawl space to address. We hired them again a few days later to fix a disconnected shower drain.

They stand by their work. Almost two months later we noticed their was a leak under our sink which was related to the work they did prior. Amy promptly scheduled a visit to get things fixed, no questions asked.

Lastly, they are reasonably priced. I fielded multiple quotes for the work above (make sure you get at least three) and one local plumber quoted me almost double the price!

So glad I went with Mauro's plumbing. And so should you!

P.S. The technicians are courteous and wear masks and shoe coverings while working.

This is an Awesome, Kind, Generous and Family Owned plumbing supply store. Give back to your local stores. Great and reasonable prices. They even beat other prices.
Open on weekends? YES! So, when big corporate supply stores close on Saturdays at noon, and closed entirely on Sundays, A Street Plumbing, is open on weekends, what? Yeah, a huge help when I work on the weekends and customers need a water heater of great quality.
I always look to, A Street Plumbing, whenever I can when I'm in their area, as well as, when I'm not in the area. Just to get the job done that day for the customer. Instead of having to wait 1-2 days until Monday or Tuesday, due to holiday schedules, when big corps are closed for inventory, etc.
All employees have always been so very helpful. No issues ever. They all have gone out of their way, went above and beyond, what a customer can ask of a business worker. Even gone out their very own personal lives, to assist me in getting a specific plumbing part, an Assemby or a heater unit, I needed direly, to complete any of the jobs I've encountered that they've been my go to plumbing supply first.
I've referred customers or other workers of the trade, in going on by to, A Street Plumbing.

I think I finally found my go-to plumbing company.
 
They were punctual, knowledgeable , and polite.  They charge per hour of labor which is a dream to me.  Their receipt is itemized and reasonable.  

Dave installed a toilet for met, hauled the old one away, and resat my older toilet that had a leaking wax ring.  What I liked was that the clock didn't start as soon as he knocked.  He charged for the actual labor in 1/2 hour blocks. I feel like too many companies charge a set price sight unseen.  I wish more companies were as honest as this one.

I'm really happy with this company. I feel that they're honest and do good work.

Called Fast Response. They came quickly and fixed the toilet clog in under a hour.  Mario was pleasant and knowledgable.  The price; $300.  That seems excessive to me.  It was a Sunday, but all other reviews stated that they charged significantly less or a fair  price. I will not use them again.

Called about a busted water pipe. It was fixed that day!  I was not home. And never had to meet anyone. All done over phone.

We hired Bob several times for plumbing concerns.  He did a decent job on small jobs and was reasonablely priced.  Then, mysteriously, he just did not return calls, didn't follow through as he said he would, and never would explain his actions (or lack of action) to us.  We finally gave up and found another plumber who was better, reliable, and gave senior discounts.  We were actually never really sure if Bob Cowden was a licensed plumber as he never put a license or a number on his billing.

Great job to fix my clogged kitchen drain on a raining Sunday morning. Really appreciate.

The pipes to our washer dryer were clogged and was flooding our floors. Bart responded within minutes and went out of his way to arrive in short time to solve the emergency. Job was done within an hour to complete satisfaction.

You can only give a person who works just as hard as an emergency room doctor the title Master the Disaster--it fits because he's the handyman who will figure out what possible solutions there are and tell you what he can/cannot do.  He's done work for us several times with some pretty serious home repairs (he found some termite damage while inspecting some other problems) to some pretty minor ones (replacing leaking faucets). He also fixed some wooden folk art that I thought would never be repaired. That sold me!
His efficiency is mind-boggling; you can count on him getting the work done in a timely way. But he doesn't cut corners to finish the job. He makes sure the work is done well. You can be comfortable having Mark in your home--he's an honest, hardworking, and helpful handyman.
