Called Allstate on a recent Sunday morning for a line backup affecting the whole house. The response was both prompt and courteous, and we can't say enough kind things about the service we received from Miguel. He worked very hard to clean the lines, pointed out a small leak in a line connecting the toilet to water supply, and then cleaned his work area in both bathrooms better than the bathrooms had been cleaned before. The service isn't particularly cheap, but good service is worth paying for. No question we'll use Allstate the next time we need a plumber. Thanks, Miguel!

Remeber to ask if they have a trip charge.  They do!! Master plumber has atrip charge whether or not you pick them.  They spent 29 minutes to assess and charged me $172.  And they have the highest bid among all the plumbers I solicited.  Over 50% higher than the final bid I accepted.   There are a lot of high quality plumbers on the peninsula that will come out to inspect a water pipe leak without trip charge.  Don't make the same mistake I did.  I called them because my neighbor used them once.  And I forgot to ask them a trip charge question.

They dont volunteer to explain this over the phone. You have to ask.

This review was about a job done a year ago. An galvanized irrigation pipe leak in a backyard started leaking badly one morning so I was in a rush to have it fixed (much more to conserve water than saving cost).
I called AQP because I was confused by another similarly named plumber I used and liked very much before.  But stupid me, they sent someone out and started quoting around $2500 for maybe a 40-feet copper pipe replacement.  Of course I balked at it. They then said that PVC would be sufficient and would only charge $2000, and throw in also replacing a rusting pipe section where this line connects to main and add a valve. And they would send guys to finish it today.

At first I thought at at least my money was spent in getting the job finished promptly. But they sent a teenager 2 hours later to help digging a 40-foot trench from 1:30pm and made a mess. Didn't actually finish until 7:30pm when it's turning dark.  The owner Kory came and told me that unfortunately they won't replace the extra section due to lack of time. And worst of all, because the PVC glue was still drying they wouldn't even test that it worked before leaving.  A big mess was left behind in the yard (see photos).

I feel severely short-changed for a bad deal: $2K for a 40-feet dig and PVC pipe replacement, without the extra junction/valve replacement originally promised.  I was left with a mess, and I spent ONE HOUR the next day going back and forth between the main valve and the backyard to slowly ramp up the water flow to make sure that the pipe was fine.

Honest and generous with his time, Norman was upfront that he could not provide the service I needed but was very helpful and assisted in locating someone who could. I can definitely recommend him as someone who will give you an honest assessment of your job!

Avalon was able to solve a complex plumbing problem simply and quickly.  They communicated all the options and educated me on what the parts were and what future changes I could make.  During this, they were socially distanced and masked and made the site cleaner than they found it.   I could not be happier with their service, will use them again, and recommend them highly!   ==John Schmidt, Sunnyvale.

Matt at Smash Plumbing really saved us the other day by investigating a back up we had at our home.  Him and his team arrived quickly and identified the current issue of a break in the old clay sewer line and also showed us a potential issue in another area that we could consider fixing now if we wanted to save time and money.  His rates were comparable to the other quotes we received and he was super professional and trustworthy through the whole process.  Thanks for your help Matt

I am normally an internet shopper since I never feel there is a value add in fixture stores, however the folks at powder room have completely turned me around.  They were so helpful as I was working on my kitchen remodel.  When we start the bathroom remodel, I will absolutely start by coming to the powder room when I am ready for fixtures!  Great selection, fast delivery and helpful feedback.  Thank you powder room!

I came home to a busted pipe. I called American Plumbing Service and they were here within 20 minutes. The fix was quick and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them!

I chose to call this plumber due to all the great Yelp reviews but I did not have the same experience as others.  My toilet was flushing very slow and I was worried something was stuck inside.  Mohammed and his helper came and tried to snake the toilet.  After about an hour, the toilet was flushing better but Mohammed said there was a piece of metal stuck in there somewhere and recommended I get a new toilet.  I agreed but told him I did not want to spend more then $150. on a new toilet as I was moving in a few weeks.  He showed up with a toilet that cost $200.  I told him I wanted the old toilet - that he could just leave it in the tub - as I was concerned that whatever the metal object he said was in there was something I might want.  Then his story started to change - maybe it wasn't metal, it could be something else...if I broke open that toilet to see what was in there - he could not take it away for trash - which I never asked him to do.  I asked if he could send me a copy of the receipt that showed how much he paid for the toilet and he said he would.  It is close to 2 months later and never got proof of what he paid.  The new toilet is nice and they did a nice job of installing it - but I don't trust what he said as he smirked at me whenever I asked questions and never did what he said he would do like send me the receipt.  I never met this Mauro guy and maybe I should have insisted on having him come as I feel that Mohammed took advantage of me.  I just wanted people to not get sucked in by all the positive reviews as I did.

This is a great shop. They have all the rough plumbing stuff you need. It's in bins so you can walk around and pick out what you want. Really handy if you are trying to figure it out. Having Sunday hours is a huge deal. They are on my short list of suppliers for sure!

Had a leak outside the house.  They scheduled a plumber within 48 hours.  He arrived on time, quickly identified the problem as the sprinkler valve, picked up the part and did the job promptly and demonstrated the result.  The price was fair.

Called Dennis for a backed up toilet.  Needed to get it done early, before the family had to leave for work and school.  

Dennis answered the phone at 5:30 a.m. and quickly responded.  It only took him a few minutes to do the work.

I would definitely use him again and refer him to my friends.

This is a long overdue review (October 2019), but with being indoors right now I have the time to do some of the reviews i have been meaning to do. We had issues with our toilets. Upstairs and downstairs. It would continuously overflow just a little. We tried fixing it ourselves, but didn't solve the problem. My wife loves using yelp or Nextdoor app to find good ratings on businesses and came across In Demand Plumbing. We set an appointment with Jeff and he came, did what he had to do and our toilets were working just fine in no time. Very friendly local plumber. I would definitely recommend him to any plumbing issues. We have had no recurring issues with our toilet since! Thanks Jeff!

He is uncertified licensed plumber which has no bonds, no warranty, and no profit to customer for any qualify taxes purpose.  Overall, be aware with this Bob Cowden, plenty others quality licensed plumbers out there.

Amazing. Messaged via yelp on a Sunday night after finding a leak under our house. Bart messages me very quickly and we scheduled an appointment for the next day. He arrived on time and was very nice. He gave a fair quote and fixed the problem quickly. Will definitely be using again.

Little girls can be so creative! For example, right before we were having guests our daughters put a plastic cap just the perfect size to clog our toilet and make it irretrievable.  Happy New Year!  

I am actually quite handy with a wrench and I often try to fix my own home repairs, but in this case I couldn't get it out with the plumber's snake. Sometimes I do not have the tools or the time to do the job.

As you have seen from the other reviews, Mark is efficient, professional, and very reasonably priced. I would also note that he came to fix our toilet on New Year's Eve, pulled the toilet off, fished out the cap, and installed the toilet in about an hour.  He also installed a microwave for us at our condo and was flexible with schedule changes while we were waiting on a delivery.

He is very pleasant and was patient with our two little curious girls. Highly recommended and I will use him again.
