Our water heater needed replacement so I looked at many reviews before selecting Adrian at Dependable Water Heaters.  He showed up promptly at the scheduled time for our estimate and provided a reasonable price for installation and removal of our unit.  We scheduled an appointment the following day for the work and everything proceeded as described.  The whole project took about 1.5 hours from beginning to end.  Watching him do the installation, he used solder sealing for key fittings and joints and which insures a longer lasting seal.  He showed us how to adjust the water heater when we are on vacation as well as the procedure for an annual flush of the tank to promote longevity of the unit.  Lastly he pointed out some additional duct work for venting our water heater and furnace that we should have an HVAC professional assess for safety precaution.  All-in-all, our experience is consistent with all the other reviewers who cite Adrian as knowledgeable, trustworthy and efficient.

The current more than 10 years old water tank got water leak to floor. Looking for quick service in the market, Alex is one response and offer same day service with tank purchased from home Depot. Arrived on time and detail description to whole process and out-of-order parts replacement suggestion. He performs the state of the art skill and also fixed the previous incorrect installation. Within 3 hours, the new water tank was replaced and back to working status. Highly recommend to use the service.

I asked for an estimate on repairs for my sewer line as another company had estimated two repairs total close to $10,000.
William, the business owner, also the one on the appointment and communication end, was very responsive. Carlos came to the appointment.
He performed the video viewing of the line. He listen to the water flushing coming from inside the house. He saw root invasion of the sewer line near the clean out area.
As I had already had anther company that did snaking and video inspection, Carlos thought it was an incomplete job they did. He pulled out about 10 roots! Their company will make sure the roots were cleared after the snaking.
He did not think I need the repairs that were suggested, I only need to do regular maintenance every 1-2 year with video viewing and snaking. They will monitor the roots invasion.
I appreciate that he waived the camera viewing fee as he was delayed by the previous job.
Their fees tend to be lower, with family business and lowered overhead.
Carlos' recommendation is a big relief for me.

Not impressed.
This company was utilized my my HOA to work on my pipe.
Take them 4 + days to get it wrong. I open the cabinets, it is all wet and mildewed inside.
2 young men who appeared high school age did all the work, I honestly don't think they knew what they were doing.
No uniforms, and they came in an old beat up truck. I don't have a lot of faith in them.

Very highly recommended. And I don't do that very often. These guys got me out of a jam, my tankless water heater stopped working after the memorial day weekend. They stepped up to the plate, found a replacement and had it installed the very same day. ALL of this at a really reasonable price! Tyler was extremely polite and professional, very easy to work with. I can't say it enough, if you have plumbing needs give these guys a call.

Everything I needed when my old hot water heater started leaking. Juan was exceptionally professional as he explained and discussed in detail what options- tankless vs. tank, costs, including additional piping and permits that might be required. He advised me without upsale as I live on SSDI. The price was fair and exact with no hidden fees. He used higher quality straps and a pan that hadn't existed before. I'm highly recommend this business.

Nick was wonderful to work with: skilled, professional, and super knowledgeable. He's prompt, his prices are fair, and he's always easy to reach. I would definitely work with him again! Also, he likes cats, so he's good people.

It was an emergency! My neighbor's waste water was being back-flowed into my kitchen and it was flooding!! We turned off all the water in the condo building, everyone had no water, I called a dozen plumbing places and they were all booked and everyone could not come out until the next afternoon!!  I went down the list, called Kevin, he came out 30 mins later, unclogged, talked to my neighbors, explained everything, clean up my kitchen, and gave me a very reasonable price!!  I can't believe I found him, thank you Kevin!!

I wish I could give them 0 stars. They came out to give me a free estimate and proceeded to work on my old leaking water heater by putting a hose on it, making me think this job had started. I had a couple other quotes from people for $1900 to do the work. The tech, Tung, told me it was a shorty water heater and would cost more money. I asked repeatedly for him to break out the cost of the parts/heater, the labor and tax but he never did. I signed for it because the work was done but then I saw that they put two sticks under my new water heater. I've called and asked them to explain their total charges at $2175 and they offered me a token $100 refund. Then they phoned me to call me a liar because I later signed the paperwork on the job, and reneged on the refund offer. I'm not sure how I can trust a business that a) started work without my permission, b) never broke out the cost of what I was paying for, c) never explained why they used two sticks below the heater and if that is their permanent solution to the problem. This heater is not rare, and costs $589 at Home Depot. All I want is an explanation and breakdown of costs that is honest.

UPDATE (Feb. 13): Response to the comment below. Please don't try to distort reality and lie here on Yelp to potential customers. I was there and he used my hose to take water out of the old water heater before a price was given and before I signed documents. Not at any time was the price broken down for me, and this is the very first time anyone said I was charged for an extra person. The work order shows absolutely no breakdown of cost, nor does it mention a cost for an extra worker. This is a classic case of sales pressure while I am in a bind with a leaking water heater. They started the work right away, never gave me a clear breakdown of cost, and are now trying to change reality after the fact. I am attaching the work order so you can see that pricing is anything but clear. Finally, I looked at the model number of the water heater that was installed and it is EXACTLY the same model as the one at Home Depot.

Contacted company through yelp to get kitchen sink fixed due to drain being clogged. Company was first to contact me me with quote and went with them. The company had great communication and did great service. Left my place cleaner than when they walked in. Repair was fast and professional. I would say they are on the higher price but needed to get this fix immediately. I would say shop for pricing if not the are a good recommendation.

They're responsive, respectful and reliable. And their rate was competitive.  We hired them to install a new dishwasher.  They came on time, finished the job and noticed little things that needed minor fixing and didn't charge me extra (I ended up giving them extra because I thought they went above and beyond).

Art has been our plumber for many years, and he has done major and minor plumbing projects for us.  He is the BEST -- honest, skilled and dependable.  He responds quickly to phone calls and always goes the extra mile to help you, especially  when you have an emergency situation.  He also follows up after the job is complete to make sure everything is working to your satisfaction.

ALL of the staff I have interacted with have been AMAZING! They provide excellent customer service  ! I had my issue fixed  in a jiffy .  Everyone is very professional,  knowledgeable, and kind . I highly recommend :) .

I cannot believe I didn't know to call these guys first.  

Sadly, I called another highly rated company first.

Phil came out to troubleshoot our dysfunctional sump pump and was able to identify the problem, gave clear reasons for it, and charged me a very reasonable $187 for his time. It is now fixed.  In comparison, the other company charged me $500, sent 4 guys, never figured out the problem, and after taking my money, left me with a sump pump that soon after malfunctioned again, causing sewage once again to back up into my home.  I'll note that I received no warranty on that work since they didn't replace anything.  (the reason I'm not naming them is because they ultimately made right by me and refunded me the money plus the amount I paid Palo Alto Plumbing for the correct diagnosis, they were professional and responsive to my criticism and I believe that they try their best).  

Palo Alto Plumbing gave me a 30-day warranty (they didn't need to replace anything, but the warranty is just in case they didn't fully help to resolve the problem).

I don't know why Palo Alto Plumbing didn't come up in my online search, but I am glad to have found out about them through neighbors in NextDoor.

J Fisher was referred to me by another plumber. I ways very impressed with their response and their knowledge. Jim was sent to my house to replace some Kohler faucet parts. Jim was knowledgeable, and easy to deal with. I was quoted one hour and he was finished in exactly one hour. I highly recommend these guys - they are now go-plumbers!

I don't believe I ever made a bad review about a company that I was involved with. This plumbing company is in the list of certified contractors of American Home Shield, my home warranty company,  that they sent to look at my stoppage on my kitchen sewer line to the main line after paying $100. They did the usual snake process twice and reported that they found mud on the snake and requested AHS the use a camera to find the problem. AHS did not approve it saying it was my responsibility since it's not part of my contract. It was an emergency so I contacted another plumbing company, Gasca Plumbing, who did the identical procedure and they were able to clear the stoppage. They went down the crawl space to inspect and found my sewer pipe intact.
The report that Rock's Plumbing wrote to AHS was there was a SLAB LEAK. How can there be a slab leak if my house is NOT built on a SLAB but rather have a crawl space. I read a consumer review about Rocky's and some one advice that check on their license if it is active.

One word for them - Terrible. I called them a day ahead to setup an appointment for my kitchen sink faucet.. They gave me 3 hour window from 2-5PM the next day. Right then I was impressed at first at how prompt they were.

Then the next day I took my afternoon off from work from 2-5PM and came home to wait for them to show up. In the middle of this timing window provided by them, their office calls me up saying that they can't send anyone over for the next 2 days because some of their guys didn't show up.

What I'm disgusted about is not even that they could not send someone over for an appointment they agreed on, but that they waited till during the timing window, wasted my day and then bailed on me.

I would give them 0 stars if i could.
