It was a Sunday evening and my water heater gave up.  With a river of water running out of my garage, I called Dependable Water Heaters for help.  The reason I called that particular company was because of the universally glowing reviews on Yelp.  Adrian not only took my call on his only day off and Mother's Day, no less, but he also told me exactly what to do to get through the night and came out the next day to assess the situation.  He showed up on time, of course, with a new water heater and disconnected my broken unit.  In addition, Adrian called and scheduled the water damage restoration company, Dry Force, and gave me the number of a good drywall person.  (By the way, Dry Force is another outstanding company.)

The water damage in my garage was repaired and Adrian quickly came back out, installed my new water heater and explained how to take care of it.  Every interaction with him has been comforting, personable and professional.  The quality of his work was outstanding and his price was extremely reasonable.  My only regret is that Adrian does not do all other home repairs because I would call him for everything.  He is definitely a keeper.

Our water heater in our duplex started making funny noises around 5 pm. By 5:45 I was on Thumbtack, and by 6 pm Alex from SAV Services had contacted me and said he could be here by 6:30. He was on time and ready to work. Our ancient water heater was dead - I knew it before he got here. We decided to replace both water heaters in the duplex, and Alex gave us a reasonable quote and went out then to get the 2 water heaters. He was back and at work and by 10 pm we had hot water again and 2 working new water heaters installed and up to code finally. Thank you Alex! Fantastic job!!

William came out and replaced an ancient faucet and the plumbing in our upstairs tub. He also cleaned out the sewer lateral.

Whoever originally installed the tub had done a real Frankenstein job and it was a pretty complicated repair/replacement, lots of parts/pipes that no one uses or even makes anymore. After an assessment William worked really hard to track down all the necessary parts and kept us updated throughout the process.

It was an complicated fix but he did a great job for a fair price!

William was friendly, professional and just all-around on it! We're planning to hire this company again!

Not impressed.
This company was utilized my my HOA to work on my pipe.
Take them 4 + days to get it wrong. I open the cabinets, it is all wet and mildewed inside.
2 young men who appeared high school age did all the work, I honestly don't think they knew what they were doing.
No uniforms, and they came in an old beat up truck. I don't have a lot of faith in them.

WHY ARE THE UNFAVORABLE REVIEWS ON THE SECOND PAGE?

Try to look past all the 5 stars to see what real customers have to say.

We have worked with Tyler several times now and are so happy with him and his work. Most recently he installed our tankless water heater and did a great job and it was affordable and works great. I recommend Tyler to anybody!

This review took far too long to post and I apologize. Anyway I just wanted to give a glowing review to this most excellent handyman who went above and beyond during his visit.

Because I have bad arthritis and my wife has MS we can't really do all of the tasks around the house we used to. So every now and then we have to hire a handyman which hasn't always had the greatest result. However this time we were very pleased with the service and anticipate calling him back again soon to a couple more things.

We specifically called in order to get help in installing a wall TV mount and also mounting a wall lamp. We also needed to tall bookcases earthquake strapped 2 wall studs. The main issue with our apartment being that the studs are very strange and not always where you would expect them to be based on any reasonable kind of construction normals. He was able to find studs for our mounts and get everything installed in very short order as well as attaching the earthquake straps to our bookshelves. While he was doing this he actually went to the trouble of showing how I could figure out using a tape measure in particular measurements to find the studs in our weirdo apartment.

So we would like to give a great recommendation to this most excellent jack of all trades. His costs were also very reasonable and actually less than the last handyperson we used who was a complete disaster. They were up in Seattle though so you don't have to worry about them.

Great service, honest and fair pricing.  Matt worked on the sewer problem while Rusell was able to explain me my options.  I will recommend and call them again when I need a plumber.

I've had really good  experiences with KVN plumbing. They come when they say, The work is done professionally and I never have to wait around for them. The customer service is amazing and they are always friendly. I have had multiple problems in the past  year when I have requested their service and they have always done an excellent job. I would recommend them to anyone in the area!

On time, returned calls. Johnny is thorough, honest and trustworthy.  It felt nice to have him come into our home, he will definitely become our plumber for the long run.  He was professional and even showed up with hardwood floor protectors on his shoes for the estimate.  Very reasonable prices.

Great work replacing our toilet wax ring within a day of request. Team removed shoes on rainy day to keep house clean. Bathroom was left clean after the job. We're looking forward to working with this friendly and professional team again.

I needed help to assemble a Lifetime 54 portable basketball hoop that I purchased from Amazon. Reading online howto's about the installation seemed time consuming and difficult. I messaged a few handymans on Yelp but decided to go with Tegene Handyman services due to fast responses, reviews and a reasonable price. Boy.. was I lucky to find someone like Abdu who helped with this. It took a few hours as expected and he was on time, professional and friendly. The hoop came out perfect and my son loves it! I will definitely reach out again to these guys for future projects.

This is a repeat of what I wrote on another occasion. We recently again had need of Art's capable hands for a home plumbing problem. Everything I wrote before applies, so I am gratefully resubmitting this review: I wouldn't hesitate for one minute to recommend Art Hansen for a plumbing job.  We are a senior couple who had put off some plumbing repairs in our 1924 Palo Alto home until we could ignore them no longer. Not knowing where to turn, I looked at the reference page of Yelp and I was convinced immediately that he was our guy. Art was everything a professional plumber should be and so much more. He's thoroughly professional, responsive, diligent and highly skilled. Understanding what some of our plumbing issues were (past tense) with our vintage fixtures, he went about remedying our long standing problems. He took pains to explain the nature of the problems and the possible remedies. Had I known how  little effort it should take to flush a toilet or to stop a faucet from dripping, we would have called him long ago. I want to add that our problems were not trivial. This was not a question of a washer here or there. Parts (difficult to find) were required, and Art had to return several times to complete the job. He did all work neatly and cheerfully, actually working with my husband to find sources for the parts. We recommend him with confidence.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would.  From my first phone call to completion of my sewer repair Tyler kept me updated with each step of my repair.   They kept their appointment times and even sent me text to update me with arrival times.  Everyone I spoke to from office staff to technicians on site were informative and professional.   The cost was fair and reasonable to the repairs being done.   This will be my go to for all my plumbing needs.    Thank you to Tyler and the entire team at After Hours Plumbing.   You got a customer for life.

Once again, they came to our rescue! Joe came out to fix our tricky garbage disposal. He's a great guy -- personable, responsible, competent like all the PA Plumbing folks. They always do great work for us.

I was referred to Josh by a friend for our plumbing needs. I work in a small office in Los Altos and hired J. Fisher Plumbing to take care of the plumbing in our office. I was very satisfied with the prompt service we received and the quality of the work done. Josh is very responsive via email and phone and he really is an expert in his field. I would definitely recommend J. Fisher Plumbing for any office or home needs. He makes you feel valued as a customer and cares about cleaning up after a job. For the great quality of work done, his prices are very reasonable.

I had a great experience with Rocky's Plumbing and Rooter.  A previous company had left me in a terrible situation and unhooked my hot water tank, leaving me with no heat. Rocky's came out and diagnosed the problem again, got my heat started and made a follow up appointment to do minor repairs. I am with American Home Shield and he worked with them to get my water heater working but didn't try to upsell me on a costly replacement when it wasn't needed.  He advised me on what to look for and when it would need to be replaced.  I will definitely be calling Rocky's Plumbing and Rooter for all of my future plumbing needs.  I found them easy to work with, reliable and quick to respond, plus great service at excellent prices.  And very efficient at working with my home warranty coverage which is most important since that's what I'm paying for to not have these costly repairs.

Routine service, annual check with these guys who are contractor for one hour service plan. The plan charge is 20 per month. Using a power wrench, the one guy stripped the top cathode bolt and kept going until every speck of rust in the heater was let loose and completely clogged hot water system for house and required immediate replacement of water heater. Expecting two people the next day but only one shows up? Took entire day and 3400 dollars. I was suckered and don't want the same thing to happen to another senior.
