We met Rafael when he worked with Dakon Electric and called and asked for him when our dishwasher failed to start. Damon was kind enough to tell us Rafael had started his own business and gave us his number. How many companies do that?  We called Rafael and he came over within 2 days and was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem.  he then took one of our lamps with him and rewired it and dropped it off within a week.  He is very competent and ethical.  I call him first for everything now. He really is the best.

Araz installed a brand new 200A electrical panel for me. They did quick work with excellent craftsmanship, and Max is a really nice guy. Would definitely use them again.

I work as property manager for a company and those days I was in San Jose, Oscar is a detailed, experienced and reliable technician. On the day of the quotation, I showed him several areas where we had no power. He immediately inspected the fusebox). He explained how a fuse might look operational but actually be faulty. It took him some time to remove the cover and test all the fuses. Eventually, he identified and corrected the problem. Suddenly, we had power in those rooms! And we hadn't even agreed to hire him yet! I had some creative lighting / electrical projects and Oscar completed them with much intelligence and patience. He and his assistant Miguel were polite, clean, and efficient.

After browsing a long list of Tesla charger installers, I ultimately chose Fruitdale Electric. Within days of my initial contact, they visited my home and provided a quote, which was much faster than I expected.

On installation day, their technicians arrived promptly. They installed a Tesla gen 3 charger, surge protection, and ran electrical wiring through my attic to the opposite side of the house. Despite the terrible weather at the time, they delivered flawless work.

The location of the charger was a challenge due to the tight space, and I had anticipated conduit running outside of my house. However, they exceeded my expectations and executed an incredibly clean installation with no visible wires or conduits, leaving just a Tesla charger on the wall exactly where I wanted it. Most importantly, my car now charges at a rate of over 40mph, a significant improvement from the previous rate of 4mph.

I contacted JH Handyman, they responded within a few minutes. Dispatched handyman to my house in about 30 mins after the call. Two people came, inspected the issue thoroughly and gave their professional recommendations. Really appreciate the prompt response and all the professional services.

Contacted Right Away Electric (Jonathan) to get a quote on adding 2 to 3 new electrical lines for a master bath renovation.  He responded to my request for a quote promptly and was able to get out the same morning to see the work site.  Meeting him went very well - he was prompt, courteous, professional, honest, and gave me a good idea what the work would entail.  By that afternoon, I had his quote in hand and gave him the green light go go ahead.  He was flexible with the start date (I moved it out from a Monday to a Tuesday and he accommodated with no problem).  Tuesday morning came around and he was early to start at the agreed time (great!).  Working efficiently, he did the job as discussed and even went ahead and helped wire one of the lines to be optionally 240V - something I had thought about but wasn't fully sure.  With his expert help, I can now run 120V or 240V depending on my future needs.  Very satisfied with his work, his diligence, attention to detail, responsiveness, and courteous demeanor.  I wish Jonathan all the luck in growing his business and look forward to calling upon him again in the future.  Thanks!

Work order:
22 recessed lights , 3 points for ceiling fans and 1 GCFI outlet.
Costing was approximately 4k plus some equipment that I decided to purchase by myself.

Moises came out on short notice. He and another gentleman was very pleasant to talk to and seemed very knowledgeable. I had an issue with part of a circuit that went offline. Moises took little time to figure out what happened. He explained the situation very well along with options on how to address the issue. He fixed the immediate problem and recommended some other remediations.

We've been shopping around for an electrician to install an outlet for our new electric vehicle based on recommendations and were getting a lot of run-around with filling out forms online and talking over the phone with different people about estimates/what they think can be done based on our wiring configuration. We were getting outrageous quotes compared to what we had expected from reading/researching online so we decided to expand our search.

We found Penguin Electric on Yelp and decided to give them a try since they're local. As soon as we contacted Roman, he immediately responded and offered to come on-site to check out our house - I was shocked as no other electrician had offered this option!

Throughout the entire process, Roman was very responsive, straight-forward, and accommodating. He gave us a very reasonable quote for the job so we decided to go with him. We are SO glad we found him - will definitely call him again in the future if we ever need an electrician!

If you want a good and honest electrician in the area, Rick is the man to go to.  I was about to spend over $200 for a job that was not necessary.  What I wanted was to have a shop light come on with my already installed bulbs in the ceiling of my garage.  I thought I needed to add another outlet.  Instead, Rick told me a much more easier and cost effective way.  After speaking with Rick, I just needed to pick up an adapter at Home Depot for a few bucks to accomplish what needed to be done.    Rick was honest enough to share this with me.  If I ever do need to have some real electrical work done, I'll know who to call.  Thanks Rick!

Trying to keep this short and to the point, Dalcon Electric is the most unreliable and non-communicating company that I have run into thus far.
After a day of trying to reach someone at this company, I made an appointment for their home entertainment electrician to come in five days to conceal an electrical cord.  The guy failed to show (0800).  

As a result, I called the company starting at 0830, no answer or answering machine.  At 0845 or so, I received a return call (based on caller ID) advising me the electrician had called at sometime stating he wouldn't be in.

Because Sarah's phone had died, she wasn't sure she had received this information.  In spite of this, Sarah proceeded to reschedule the service the same day  (with another electrician) and gave me two times; noon and 2PM to choose from.  I choose noon to alleviate any more of my time being wasted.   At 1207 I received a call from Sarah. She advised me, in a like manner, the electrician would not be available to make the service call.  

For these reasons, I will do my darnedest to share the experience I've had with Dalcon Electric.  If I could give this company a negative rating,  I certainly would.     :(

AY EMP did a great job fixing some of my broken switches and installing a neutral wire for a smart switch upgrade. They were happy to work with my home warranty provider and quickly got the job done in a couple of hours.

I would highly recommend their service if you are ever need for electrical work done!

I had James do some out door lighting and install plug in garage. His work was clean, he even went out of his way to take care  of some other stuff that I didnt even notice. Great recommendation!! Pricing was very reasonable and totally worth it!!!

Knowledgeable and detail oriented approach provided. Needed upgrades to the electric panel to accommodate the switch from a gas to electric water heater. The team was able to diagnose the issue, fully communicate the available options, and help create a plan to address the situation. The team is RESPONSIVE and will definitely use them AGAIN. I was looking to get my garden lights taken down and was on a time crunch since we were moving. Not only did Chuck respond quickly to the quote request but was able to look at the photos I shared to determine that it'd be a quick job. He was able to squeeze me into his schedule and got all of the light down carefully without breaking any of the bulbs in a little under an hour. He does charge for an hour minimum but the the efficiency and care, so worth it! Unfortunately we are moving out of his service area but if you need a handyman and live within his service area, give him a call!!!

I needed a ceiling fan installed at first floor of my house (no attic space). My biggest issue was how to fish for the wires within drywall or would it be by exterior wire molding (unsightly).

June 26, 2018; Emanuel and Pablo (assistant) came. Luckily, they found a route that kept the wires within drywall & ceiling. No sheet rock was cut. By the way, the pre-existing 1-gang switch on wall has 2 hot wires only (they found). Emanuel installed a ground & neutral too, which ran towards panel box. End result: flushed type ceiling fan works great! Optionally, I did not have the lights that came with fan.

I liked that they brought drop cloths for dust... Big plus! They vacuumed area afterwards.

I ran into Henry and his team this morning by accidents in my neighborhood while he was on his way to meet his client. So happy to have talked to him. 20 minutes later, he was at my place, diagnosing the inconsistent fixture issues, which apparently another household in the community was having the same problem, proposed a solution with a very reasonable pricing. The crew showed up on time, were very polite, worked on the project efficiently, and cleaned up nicely when they finished the job. Henry was also at my house in the end to ensure everything was carried out as planned.  Also, they all wore masks and were very respectful to the household environment given that we currently work from home with virtual work meetings. Thanks Henry and team again for providing such great work. The house looks more beautiful now that the lighting/energy temperature is consistent throughout!
