I have found my plumber and I will never go back! I have tried many plumbers in Santa Cruz and never have I experienced such professional, kind, hard working, honest and skilled plumbers before. Their quote was plenty fair and the price even dropped as they did the work and discovered ways to make the job cheaper. They installed a new line from the meter to the first shut off, a big job, and they did it seamlessly. When they called me out to take a look the job was super clean, as if there had never been a leak. They even patched the concrete and raked the landscape so that it looked nice and tidy when they left. Our last plumbers left a mess in our kitchen that we had to clean up so this was a pleasant surprise. I give Garcia Plumbing my highest recommendation.

Today we had Arturo come out. Even though we had an appointment time slot he called to let me know he was on the way. When he arrived he was friendly and willing to explain to me in detail what he thought was going on with our plumbing.
I appreciate that they are never pushy. Since our house is a little older they do make recommendations for what we should do in the future which is nice so we can be proactive.

We called Vince based on a NextDoor post and also his Yelp rating. Plus he is local and we wanted to support local businesses. He came promptly to diagnose the issue with our water heater which had just stopped working. Given the age of the heater (8yrs old) he said it wasn't worth repairing and best to replace. We got the same advice from 2 other companies as well so agreed to replace it with a new Bradford White heater. His preference was actually for American Standard but he was flexible with our preference. He came out on Monday afternoon to do the job and replaced the heater efficiently and made sure to clean up afterwards. Only a small note    - I had to push him to position the hose to drain the old heater in my backyard instead of the front - why waste the water?! He did it in the end so that was fine. Also he had originally said he could show me the part that was damaged after replacing the heater but when I asked he didn't want to waste time. I let that one go but it would have been nice for him to follow through but not a big deal.
All in all a good experience. We are considering using his services again to install a water softener and reverse osmosis system next.

Guy Plumbing is all the things a service business should be.  Available by phone, returns calls promptly, is customer oriented, knowledgable, polite, respectful, skilled, professional and they get the job done.  And they are nice people from the person who answers the phone and sets up your appointment to the person who comes to the house.  They are #1 in our house!

5/13/22 Installer: Jerry

Jerry updated a gas valve and expertly finished installing a slide in new range, leveling it and making sure it fit perfectly with the kitchen countertops. I appreciated Jerry's  professionalism and excellent customer skills.

Called Mike for a backed-up upstairs kitchen sink that I'd looked at myself. He came and started snaking the drain, while having me go to the garage to listen for it and see if anything was leaking. Unfortunately something was leaking after he snaked the entire line. He said the job was too big for him, but gave me a recommendation on who to call. I appreciate the honesty of not over-extending himself and not inserting himself in between as some contractor who's just taking a cut.

While I think I could've found someone cheaper for the work, I doubt they'd give me the same peace of mind on it, and on the recommendation.

Jerry worked on two projects for my house in the past. I would recommend him to anyone because he recently helped me to fix the washer shutoff value problem on the same day. I knew that he had a very busy day but still worked very late evening to help me to replace the new shutoff value so that I could install my new washer sooner. Thank you so much.

Our house was built in 1964.  Over the last 5 to 10 years, I have been fighting slow drains with snaking and chemicals.  I called out Alfredo Rangel Chico of AR Plumbing.  Chico snaked my bathroom sink and said it was really plugged.  He crawled under the house and said there were signs of leakage in our cast iron pipes and suggested replacing the kitchen and bathroom sink pipes with ABS.  When he brought out the cast iron pipes, I was shocked to see them completely plugged along the whole lengths.  All snaking did was open up a small hole which allowed water to flow for a while until it closed up again.  In looking at these pipes, Chico suggested that all the drains and sewer pipes be replaced.  He came out a few days later and replaced all the pipes under the house, including taking the toilets off to replace their pipes.  Most of these were similarly plugged up.  I was very impressed with Chico, his professionalism, know-how, and thoroughness.  After it was all over, he cleaned the whole areas in the house very well.  He worked fast, efficiently and the charges were reasonable.  
I will definitely use him again and recommend him very highly.

Had a sewer drainage issue, BG Plumbing gave me a really thorough explanation.  Crawled the underneath of our house, took pictures, we discussed different options based on my budget.  What another plumber quoted as 5k, he found a cheaper solution and fixed for $1k.

I appreciate Eric and his partner's work on our water softener installation. They have very good manners, great patience, explaining everything with professional knowledge. Price is also reasonable. And I am very happy they came on time, even 5min earlier. After the installation, they helped clean up the area as well. Highly recommended!

Jim Gullo, The Plumber, pulled my toilet, got his snake caught, then cut it off in my pipe. I believed him when he told me it would wash into my septic. It didn't, but I didn't know it at the time. After $1000 more in plumbing bills, another plumber fished it out. The Plumber refused to make good on his mistake.

mike is an amazing guy he was very kind and prompt. He knows what he's doing. Good prices and is dependable. I recommended him to my grandma Never regretted it since. Good job Mike and thank you very much for your services. you're the man! Definitely have you as my go to guy!

I bought a toilet from Lowe's and they contracted with Handy to arrange for a plumber to install it. After 5 cancellations in 7 days, I contacted Lowe's directly, who arranged for Absolute Plumbjng to install. They came and removed the old toilet and installed the new one in under 30 minutes. They were really professional and pleasant, and I would recommend them highly.

I called several plumbers, left msg, but no one returned my calls in 2 days.  I started looking again and found The Plumbing Company.  Finally, a live person, Judy, who was very helpful, and got Phil out to our home within a couple of hours.  Phil was very knowledgeable, and found a couple of things we did not even know about.  I would recommend this company to all my friends and family for all their plumbing needs.  Thank you very much!!

Literally came over to my parents Julie past 9pm on Memorial Day weekend to help us move a fridge. It was one of those urgent and important tasks and it was awesome to get his response asap and have the whole situation resolved in an hour. Thank you!

Pacific Coast electric is really running money fleecing businesses.

Issue - couple of rooms in my house had lost power

Pacific coast charges $90 visitation fees. After looking at the rooms that had lost the power technician said it would take me $700 to diagnose the Issue and then cost of repair.

Luckily I declined the diagnostics and just paid $90 visitation fees.

Called my Handyman who just fixed a broken/burnt circuit breaker. Cost $150.
