Just last Wednesday, we finally got a small damp section of our front yard properly diagnosed as being the result of a leak in our water main. Umberto from Freedom Underground came over to look at the problem and give us an estimate on either Thursday or Friday. After talking to San Jose Water Company, the work was scheduled for Thursday of this week. But on Saturday, the leak suddenly got a lot worse, so we had to call SJWC to get them to turn off our water. (They said it was a 500-gallon/hour leak at that point!) I texted Umberto to tell him the problem, and he was able to reschedule the work for Tuesday of this week.

The work went off without a hitch, but SJWC didn't show up to turn the water back on before Umberto and his team had to leave. However, Umberto said that if I texted him after SJWC showed up, he'd come over to open the valve in our basement slowly, so as to let the air out before we started using any water. That was really an above-and-beyond offer, which I happily took him up on!

And then this morning, Umberto and a co-worker showed up to replace the dirt over the new pipe (which I had wanted left out until SJWC blessed the new pipe as being leak-free).

To summarize: Freedom Underground gave us an estimate on short notice, changed the scheduled work date on short notice, fixed the problem in one day, returned to turn the water back on after-hours that day, and showed up promptly the next morning to fill in the holes left by the work. Kudos to Umberto and his team!!!

Here's the story: I went down to the garage and HOLY CRAP there was toilet paper floating in water on the floor.  I called in Mario from Precision Rooter, who snaked the line, but it was too late -- something was seriously wrong underground.  Mario suggested I call Yehia at Alansi's to come by with his camera and see exactly what was happening where.

Their appointment manager Monica got me an appointment for the next day, even though they were pretty booked.  You know that whole 2-hour-window thing, where you sit around for 3 hours and the guy still doesn't show?  Not so with Alansi's.  In fact, they put a note for Yehia to call when he was on his way, which he did, so I didn't have to leave work until it was time to.

Yehia got there, on time and super nice, and ran the camera through the pipes, recording it all on a DVD.  He explained what we were looking for and found the problem -- a collapsed pipe and tree roots in the line.  He recommended a couple options and gave me an estimate, and suggested I also call another company, just to get a second opinion.  And he cleaned everything up before he left.

On top of it all, he didn't charge us at all because for some reason the DVD errored out and wouldn't burn.  We're waiting for a second opinion but I'm pretty sure we'll be going with Alansi's.

Emil is a very helpful plumbing specialist. He installed a brand new Rinnai tankless water heater with recirculation pump which solved a long running issue in the house. He is conscientious and has good customer service skills and helped to trouble shoot some other plumbing issues in the house. I would definitely recommend him.

Called Voltz Electric based on the reviews on Yelp.  And I was not disappointed.  They did fantastic work, were quick, and reasonably priced.  Mike and Ryan were amazingly professional and really nice about explaining the work they were doing and the different options.  And Karen who answered all of my phone calls was great too (helped me schedule two visits and reminded me about upcoming visits).  Thanks everyone!

Excellent work adding a new ceiling light box, light fixture, and dimmer. Very efficient and knowledgeable.

They installed a transfer switch for a portable generator. Clean, quick and thorough job. Won't hesitate to refer them.

Minh did a great job installing a 240V/50A outlet in my garage. He even mounted my EVSE for me. He's very knowledgeable and detailed making sure everything is leveled and cleanup afterwards. I highly recommend him for any electrical work.

My family had been without power for 48 hours. PG&E had an outage that affected our whole neighborhood but when everyone's power was restored ours was not. We called PG&E and they wouldn't even dispatch someone to look at our power because they saw the smart meter was up so everything should be fine. We called absolute power and Julio answered. He is a very honest man, A master of his trade. Over the phone he was able to narrow it down to two things, PG&E wasn't sending us the right amount of power or the breaker went bad.He was able to tell us exactly which breaker to buy ahead of time so that when PG&E finally decided to show up and determine the breaker was bad we were able to give them the new one and have them install it for free. We can't think Julio enough for his advice! Power was up within minutes of PG&E showing up after installing the new breaker. Absolute power is a great company and has great people working for them.

If it wasn't for Julios expertise, PG&E that showed up at one in the morning would have said you have a bad breaker and left. We would still be without power and had to pay so much for an electrician to install the breaker in an emergency and more than likely be down another one or two days. Many thanks and God bless

I am a customer who waited over a year to post this review. During the initial few months, I reach out to you but was brushed off. With the type of reply you provided about jealousy and accusing me as a competitor which I am not, I feel more justified in my one star.

Duke and his crew did a wonderful job with several electrical jobs as part of rental renovation. They installed recessed LED lighting in the kitchen and living room, added a new 125A subpanel in the garage, new 50A EV outlet, new 50A oven outlet, and upgraded an aging 100A main Zinsco panel with a 200A one. Duke applied for and coordinated permits and inspections with the city of Campbell.

Eddie and Jayden were especially great to work with. Price was reasonable compared to the other two electricians I for quotes from.

When we decided to upgrade our electric service panel from 100 amps to 200 amps, we started our search for an electrical contractor on the Diamond Certified website.
After contacting some of the listed contractors and acquiring written estimates for the work needed, we decided on California Power and Light. It was clearly the correct decision for us.
Henry and his associate, Doug, did the requested work and we could not be happier! Every aspect of the project was done perfectly and to our complete satisfaction!
Henry and Doug were on time, the work was done to perfection, the work was neat, clean and completed on time and to specifications.  I cannot stress enough what a complete pleasure it was working with these gentlemen. I always worry when hiring someone to work on our residence. I hate surprises. With California Power and Light, all the work was done EXACTLY as discussed.

I used Adary Electric back 2020 at my old townhouse to replace the old
CFL bulb housing with ballast with the led ones. The electrician was knowledgeable came on time and was able to complete the job of replacing 6 bulb housing in 90mins. The pricing is reasonable for per hour billing and we were happy with the service we got

Great experience working with Nick and his team to upgrade our outdoor electrical panel for solar service.  Nick kept me in the loop through every stage, with timely text updates.  Nathan and his father, the electricians on site, were polite, prompt, and went above and beyond, including helping me to isolate a bad patch cable that had taken our kitchen vent hood out of commission.  The installation itself was clean and professional.

I needed help installing nema 1450 for my ev. Dan arrived on time and did a quality installation in a timely fashion. He arrived on time and was very courteous. He had to visit my house twice due to some part ordering goof-up on my part but still took care of the job very well and within budget. Reach out to Dan for all electrical needs. He is really good.

I had an electrical issue on a Saturday. After calling several electricians, I found this company. They came out quickly and resolved the electrical problem. I was very relieved that I didn't have to wait until Monday for an electrician to come out. I would have been without heat/AC which wouldn't have been ideal if there were any weather extremes. I am happy that they fixed the issue promptly.

I had an great experience with JR Electric.  I called and did not get an answer so I hung up.  Within minutes, David called me back, I explained my tenant was without power and believed the breaker was broken.  David was able to meet me at my tenants within an hour, and determined that we needed a new breaker.  He checked his van and found a breaker that worked and was able to fix the problem right away.
