Update from previous review: I am grateful to Mr. Brown, and this update is because of Mr. Brown's prompt - I'd say immediate - response, re-work and dilligence. Mr. Brown came over the same day I contacted him (11-17-20), per my general contractor's and inspector's instructions, and worked close to 8 pm with my contractor to work on what the SJ City Inspector instructed us to do. I understand he worked well with Mr. Kim, and put forth a lot of effort.  He had given me a 1 year warranty of work when RMB installed my new water heater tank back in July 2020.   I was required by SJ City to pull a permit for my water heater tank replacement.  I did not know that before, but since I obtained the permit, I had an inspection 11-17-20 with the Permits Dept. Inspector Supervisor. My contractor's rep, GM, Mr. Kim was present also. The inspector gave us instructions about what needs to be redone/fixed etc. related to the water heater tank. I texted a thank you to Mr. Brown, and I wish him/his company/his crew well. With this review, I would definitely recommend Mr. Brown/RMB Plumbing. I believe now that he would go the extra mile for you/his clients. Thank you Mr. Brown.

Freddy and the crew were v patient in answering all my questions and showed up absolutely on time both for the initial consultation and for the actual job (something v rare these days).

Garage flooded following a day-long storm. Gutter run-off seemed to have clogged the main line.
Placed a Saturday 8:00 AM call to Alansi's. Call answered after one ring. 40 minutes later, the friendly Josh shows up and gets to work. Snakes and hoses the main line for 30 minutes.

We had a problem with our tankless water heater, while other services tried to sell us a new unit, Emil was honest and was able to fix our existing unit at a reasonable price. Would recommend his services to others!

I really appreciated Chase's service - his rates were reasonable, he came by within an hour of a call, and while my issues ended up being pretty minor, one of them didn't even have to do with electricity ;), he really helped and made things so much easier for my elderly dad! Recommend!

Contacted them about a Tesla wall charger replacement.  They responded promptly, were able to find time during the Thanksgiving weekend, and quoted me the minimum charge.  They showed up on time, started without my having to be there, performed all the work efficiently, and cleaned up everything.  All this in the middle of rain outside.  Great job all around, will definitely use again.

I hired Minh to install the ceiling fan and ceiling light. He and his team did a fantastic job and finished the work nicely and neatly. He also fixed my existing switch problem with reasonable price. Minh is down to the last detail which my husband likes. I will definitely hire him again and recommend him to everyone.

Don't waste your time like I did with multiple quotes; just go with Absolute Power. Julio and Mauricio are freaking awesome, thorough, friendly, knowledgeable, passionate... They are the people you want working on your house. Oh yeah, they are cheaper than the others.

We needed a panel upgrade, and Julio was very thorough and personable from the get go. He came out to my house in a timely manner (I received one quote over the phone on the spot without the person seeing the job), explained everything, gave me suggestions, and told me how to save some extra cash on the project. I felt like I was friends with him--like he was a cousin or something from whom I was asking a favor. After I accepted Julio's bid, he stopped by to measure everything, and his wife was in the car. My eight-year-old daughter and I went out and talked with her for a bit like we knew each other while Julio made his measurements. That is the ethos of Absolute Power: You are important to them and they treat you like family; you're not just a job number or an invoice. The entire process was so easy and fluid and fun actually, and don't get me wrong--I HATE having people work on my house; I only pay others to do things I can't do. But there was no pain, no hate, no regret with Julio.

As for the work: beautiful. The panel upgrade was a half day and passed inspection perfectly, and the stucco work the next day. We were at work and did not even know they were there except for the new panel and stucco. The day after they upgraded the panel, Julio and Mauricio were back at our house, labeled the box, and tested every appliance, outlet and switch. Of course, everything worked okay, but they ensured everything was correct before we parted ways.

I have seriously been thinking of more things to do electrically to get Julio back out to my house, but until then, hire him for all your electrical needs.

Post script: Julio upgraded our panel in 2019, so this review is overdo.

Roger is as good as it gets!!! He is so friendly, his prices are reasonable, he is prompt and easily reachable by text, phone, or email. Best of all, he keeps the area clean and cleans up after all is said and done. Great solutions and did a great job fixing up our house with recessed lighting cans everywhere!

Will use again and again and recommend to all my friends and family.

Excellent work.  I've used Duke Electric for service at a townhome complex that I manage for outdoor street lighting repairs, and for home wiring issues.  I don't actually live at the townhomes that I manage, so all of my interaction with his service people has been by voice telephone or text messaging.  Text messaging literally saved the day when I was able to give detailed instructions to the electricians about where to go and how to open a keypad-access garage to get to needed components.  Seriously, when I don't have to make a trip to be there in person to show people where things are, and they *just get it* and know how to solve problems; THAT'S the electrician you want!

We had a great experience with CP&L! Henry gave a quick quote on the 5 small projects we had saved up and explained how he would do the work. We were able to schedule the work very quickly.

On the day of the project, Henry showed up, did a quick walk through of the projects with me, introduced me to his team, and then got them to work. 3 hours later, everything was installed, wired, looking great, and working perfectly. The team was friendly, professional, and efficient.

I'll definitely keep CP&L in mind for any future electrical projects that are beyond my (very limited) abilities.

Two guys came out today and replaced 7 outdoor fixtures and 1 internal.  They ran a conduit to turn a motion sensor fixture into a switch light and they explained it all as they did the work. They were kind, professional and reasonably priced.  I'd totally use them again.

Nick did an excellent job installing a Tesla wall charger for us. Our house had a limited 100 amp service and he gave us quotes for different install options. We ultimately went with an install which included a dcc-12 load balancer. This allowed us to keep our 100 amp service and and use the full power of the wall charger without concern of blowing the main fuse.
He also replaced our main breaker since it was most likely 50 years old, and he also checked our sub panel and fixed some breakers that were sized incorrectly.
Nick went above and beyond and I highly recommend his service!

I had some issues in my panel and some breakers was tripping off. The panel was burning inside and fortunately they replaced it faster and the same day. They safe my home thanks so much guys

Anyhow, last year Dan helped out with mounting tvs, installing light fixtures, and fixing a ceiling fan.  He was very punctual, courteous of my schedule (I told you I'm BUSY), and was able to get all the work done a timely manner.  Bay Area folks who need electrical work done, reach out to Dan.  He'll treat ya right -

This call was to install a Nest Hello Camera Doorbell after a wire snapped and crawled back in the wall while I was trying to install it myself. Jim's quoted price was reasonable and better than other companies that I had called. After inspecting the situation he informed me he had to drill another hole in the stucco to trace the wire. No problem, except the wire wasn't there. He then told me he has to cut a hole in the drywall inside my house to find the wire. Let me include that nothing in my house is how it is supposed to be. The previous home owner, who was an engineer(not a contractor)rebuilt the house in 1990 after a Christmas tree fire. While most things in the house follow a line of logic, they are not how or where they're supposed to be. That being said, Jim had to cut 3 holes in the drywall to track down the wire. He installed a junction box and covered it with a cover plate,  explaining that it will be easier to go back in later if needed rather than cutting open the wall again. He installed the doorbell where he drilled the stucco and patched the two other holes in the drywall. He swept the drywall dust on the floor and explained I would have to stucco patch the old doorbell hole and apologized for not having any. How polite is that? I was already happy he patched the drywall. The doorbell chime was not working right so he had to troubleshoot it but he figured it out. Overall it ended up being a much more difficult job and headache than anticipated, but he was polite and patient and did great work. He stuck to the agreed upon quoted price, only adding a small amount for the J box and cover plate. I will definitely be using this company for any electrical work that we need done in my house. I can do basic electrical work but I imagine I will be calling him soon for more projects. I am more than happy tto write this review and I will recommend this company to anybody I know that needs electrical work done.

I contacted multiple electricians when I smelled burning smoke from an outlet. Fast Handy was the only one available to send someone out the same day. Their electrician showed up about and 2 hours past the window, which was ok since this was a last minute service call and the office did call me to let me know he was running late.

To make a long story short, the electrician left an hour later without getting to the root of the problem because he was feeling very sick. He told me he would come back the following day to finish the job but he did not show up the following day. I called the office and was told he called in sick and they were not sure when he would return.

I immediately started panicking because the electrician did not wear a mask the entire time he was inside my house. When he arrived at my house he told me he was vaccinated so he didn't need to wear one even though I told him that I have an elderly mom with compromised immune system. He only told me he had a bad headache all day after he spent an hour in my house.

He was a nice guy but I was very upset that he chose not to wear a mask when he wasn't feeling well all day. I was mad at myself for not insisting that he wear one. Luckily I had my mask on the entire time and had my mom stay at my sister's until my covid test results came back negative.

I ended up going with another electrician to finish the job because they could not tell me when they would be able to send someone else out.

Half of our house just lost power, so I called JR Electric for help, inspired by the other reviews here on Yelp.

I described what the situation was like, and David recommended I call PG&E; he suspected a phase issue. He added that he'd be happy to help if it turned out there was something else wrong, but to start there, and pronto.

And he was right. PG&E just fixed it, and it has barely been an hour. They had a loose connection at the street, up on their wire, and now everything is good to go.

JR Electric saved our afternoon with the right advice, right away.

I'll be calling them back next time I need an electrician, cuz ya know, there's always a next time. You just know it.
