I highly recommend Active Plumbing if you need a plumber.  Active Plumbing really helped us out when we had a couple urgent issues to deal with today.  Majid and his crew were quick to respond, professional, cleared out the blocked sewer line (which a previous plumber could not complete earlier this morning) and replaced the water pressure valve (as our water pressure was 100 psi when it should be 60 psi) in under 2 hours!  They even cleaned up the mess as if it never happened!
We were totally stressed out because we are expecting family tomorrow and this is absolutely the worst possible time for these problems to occur.  Majid was calm, confident, patient, knowledgeable, and could source the materials needed for the jobs immediately.  Another plumber thought the water pressure valve might need to be special-ordered.
It was such a relief to get things taken care of swiftly and efficiently.  No fuss, no muss.  
We also believe we were charged fairly and reasonably.  We would not hesitate to call Majid again for any plumbing issues.  Thanks, Majid!!

Highly recommend.  Contacted them late Saturday and received a timely response  and a quote.  The installer Ray arrived the next morning which was Sunday.  He and his coworker were very professional and within a hour and half the installation of a new water heater was completed.  They also hauled away the old water heater.
I will definitely call them in the future if I have a need for a plumber!

Wow!  These guys were so nice to come out to check our kitchen sink plumbing at no charge to us!  We called them because the pipe under the sink came loose and we had water run out all over the floor, they told us to check and make sure the connections are tight on a regular basis and recommended a paste to help give it a stronger hold.  Apparently the vibration of the garbage disposal can cause fittings to loosen over time, so they need to be checked periodically.  So impressed that there are still good honest people out there!  We will definitely call them if we have any plumbing needs in the future and will recommend them to our Real Estate clients and anyone else who might need a plumber.  Thank you so much Plumbing Care! Mike Counsil Plumbing contacted me quickly, scheduled a technician to come to my home to see the water heater, and answered my questions about the various water heater options. The technician gave me  a no-surprises estimate before he started the work.  Mike Counsil uses highly rated water heaters. They did an excellent job on the install, I was happy to get a competitive price which also included the permit. A very professional company and their GM, Patty, was very helpful!

I'm the assistant manager at a restaurant in San Carlos. This morning I noticed we had no running hot water, I brought it to the owners attention and he called bell plumbing. David arrived and I quickly showed him the water heater and the error message. He promptly got on the roof and took care of the problem. Very happy with the service and quality of Chuck's work. Wife and I contracted Chuck to have the side garage door and water heater doors replaced. Chuck was very meticulous about what needs to be fixed and how he was going to do it. He also helped fix the water heater, which save me a significant amount of money, if I called a plumber out to look at it. There were a couple of things I wanted to fix on my own and Chucked explained what I needed to do and how to fix it.

Chuck is quite loaded with work, so he might not be able to your job right away, but he will tell you in advance how long the wait is. Definitely worth the wait, so don't go with anyone else.

Fernando, Bulmaro, and Julio were the contractors that helped prepare my condo to be move-in ready and they did an amazing job.  They repainted the walls, repaired everything that needed to be repaired, and stained the kitchen cabinets at just the right color, which was difficult to do given its incredibly specific coloring.  They were kind, friendly, considerate, efficient, and got the job done sooner than I was expecting.  I look forward to working with them again in the future.

We hired Bellows for a new furnace and water heater.  At the onset it was clear that they are great.  Jason came by for the initial quote, answered a lot of my big questions clearly and completely.  We delayed our project a few months to work out the financing, and Jason came back out once we were finally ready to get the project completed.  

Patrick and Chelsea in the office were able to schedule the install on back to back days to minimize the disruption this kind of work causes.  Both were extremely helpful in coordinating the work around my schedule.

Project 1 was the furnace install.  Spencer was the project manager and was great to work with.  He was extremely helpful explaining the plan for the install, asked and answered questions.

Project 2 was the water heater install.  I didn't think it was possible, but Jose was just as awesome.  He communicated all the work and asked questions, and clearly let me know when the water and gas would be off.  

Both projects ended with great results.  The workmanship is top notch, and the personal interactions and communication was better than most contractors I've dealt with.  

We are probably getting our AC replaced in the future, and will definitely be going straight to Bellows for that project.

Only 4 stars because they charged $25 to use a  tool that most would think all plumbers have. After all, isnt that why we call a plumber?

Our Garbage Disposal was leaking. We got several quotes to replace the Disposal. Eugene came in very competitive. We liked his reviews and decided to hire him for the job.

He was very responsive and he had availability the next day which was great.

He was very respectful inside the home and removed his shoes without being asked. I wasn't going to ask, but it was nice.

The job took him about an hour from start to finish. He pointed out an additional place that I was having a leak and let me know he would fix it. He only charged me for the part which I was grateful for. He does honor the warranty's on parts and labor and explains what that consists of in terms of parts vs labor.

We spoke about some other plumbing issues I was having that I wanted him to look at in the future. He gave me some quotes I think are fair and I will contact him again for other jobs.

I have used Bay Rooter and Plumbing for over 5 years for various jobs.  Dan has been excellent in taking care of our problems.  He is very good at nailing down the problems and has never done a job which was not worth the time and money.  He is diligent and if needed spends time to correct the problem.  He cleans up everything after he is done. Today he took care of another one of my headaches.

Once another plumber had done guesswork and left me with big bill and frustration.  Dan took care of that issue right away and I never had that problem again.  We have recommended him to our friends and relatives and they had a similar experience. I would recommend him anytime.

Jamar was great! He arrived on time and was very professional. He explained all the options and price breakdown and although in the end it was out of my price range, I would call them again because of their prompt and professional manner.

Nice to deal with and on time on both visits. But caution is advised as they overestimate the time and cost then do not discount when it takes less time than estimated.  End result was very unprofessional looking and ugly.

I feel taken advantage of because they described my toilet replacement as a very complicated job that would take a lot of time. Estimate was over $700 to replace the toilet due to complexity of dealing with old house plumbing and the need to sweat old lead fitting.

Turns out they did not need to deal with any lead sweating but the end result was ugly as the replacement toilet sticks out further and there is a huge gap between the wall and the toilet.

They were here one hour and took only $40 off the price even though work effort was much less than estimated. Toilet was $230 according to plumber and I suspect that price was inflated. In the end we paid $710 for a simple toilet replacement that took less than an hour and looks unprofessional.

The old adage, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on you comes to mind. They got a premium price for a below average job this time but they have lost any future business in plumbing our old house. I'd rather deal with the big boxes than be taken advantage of again.

Updating this review: we've since discovered through our own research that there are viable options for retrofitting an old toilet so there isn't a huge gap between the wall and the toilet. One would think that an expert plumber would know this and provide advice on how to make the end result professional and not an eyesore.

No free estimates with this company.  And youre dealing with an office lady that isnt handy/technical.
