Finally... after a year in the making, we searched and found Josh, the right builder, to redo our mid century ranch carport in Cave Creek. We have a brand new pine tongue and grove ceiling and redwood gable ends. We stained over 100 (12' ) boards on our own before installation. We are very happy with the results, and the attention to detail. I would recommend Josh!

While the job we had Jon complete likely wasn't the most complex, he was incredibly speedy and easy to work with and we went from confirming we'd work with him to permit in-hand in 5 days.

Wanting to get a new toilet installed, I made several frustrating calls to plumbers (who quoted outrageous prices and time frames) and other handymen (most didn't return my phone messages) , I contacted Jake, who promptly answered his phone. He quoted a very reasonable fee and could come that afternoon.

He was timely in his arrival, very courteous, and a neat worker who knew what he was doing. The installation was completed very quickly. I told him his fee was too low and paid him extra. I highly recommend Jake and I will call him when I need his services again.

We had rain damage a month before the upcoming holidays. To our dismay we needed a new roof and our ceiling repaired/restored. My parents worked with Schott Development and highly recommended them. They came out right away to assess the damage, provided very competitive pricing and were able to schedule us for repairs within weeks.

Robert from West Haven Builders removed a wall,  popcorn ceiling and moved electrical outlet/light.  He always responded quickly. His quote came in at a competitive price. What I really appreciated was he kept me informed and updated, was on time. He also always kept the work area cleaned and cleaned up when finished. I will definitely use West Haven Builders again. I called Gordon Enterprises Contracting with regard to a renovation and they got back to me almost immediately. The owner, Alex was extremely personable and knowledgeable. We set up a meeting to discuss a large-scale bathroom and kitchen renovation. Alex was able to give me a timely free estimate and scope of work. We had met with other contractors prior and in comparison we are so glad we went with GEC. They are family owned and operated, prices are competitive and our extensive renovations were completed on time. He and his guys were always on time and professional on-site. They walked us through every step of the renovation process. Their vast experience and professional demeanor get my recommendation! I will always go to GEC for any future projects. My experience was a bit frustrating. This is a smaller contractor who did a complete $45K kitchen remodel for me through Lowe's. I made one huge mistake and told them I was not in a hurry since I would be overseas for 6 months. After the custom cabinets arrived the job should've taken 4-6 weeks at most. Or 2 weeks if a full professional crew had been on it. it took them 5 months. Very poor supervision of their workers. When they said that the job was done after 3 months there was a long list of things that were overlooked and it took 2 more months to get things ironed out. That's why I went through Lowe's, I wanted a responsible main contractor. It was up to Lowe's to get on these guys and crack the whip. In the end I got everything I wanted but it was expensive and frustrating. Even then it wasn't complete. How can you overlook that one wall doesn't have power. How can you overlook that the dishwasher was not secured in place. How can you not notice that the garbage disposal was not hooked up. Or that the hot/cold was reversed. Sheesh... sloppy. And they charged plenty. My final verdict on Able & Ready: extremely poor oversight of their workers and therefore no quality control.

This wasn't an emergency, so I could schedule it for whenever. I contacted several plumbers and sent pictures of the leaky faucets. All of them responded quickly with estimates ranging from cheap to very expensive. So I thought, heck, it's just a simple pipe fitting replacement, why so expensive? There's no filthy toilet mess to deal with, just two nice outside leaky faucets that needed replacements.

AEA Plumbing wasn't the least expensive, but I could tell they wanted to earn my business. Anyway, I took the risk and gave my project to them. (I will update this review if I start to have problems with the faucets...)

I received a quote and was charged $500 more than quoted.  They did not properly clean the base cabinetry and stains started to show through the paint within 2 weeks.  Scheduling was very difficult and last minute.  Also, they promised to return and put new hardware on the cabinets, but never came back despite multiple messages left.  I had to hire another handyman who came and completed the job for me.  He did a great job, but cost me another $400.  I would not recommend this company at all.

Some of the people such as Alan is very rude and not good at meeting appointments and taking several attempts to get it right. Don't deal with Alan. The second you challenge him, he will tell you to stop yelling when you aren't yelling and to stop using vulgar language. None of which are true. Record the call and you will laugh at Alan to see that he has mind of a 10 year old and no business savvy whatsoever. He is not good at business or communicating with people. He doesn't take responsibility for his company's actions when they are at fault. He looks unintelligent when he tries to accuse you of these things. Alisha is very nice and Anna is too but some others don't get the job done and they are always pushing your appointment back. Alan is a far cry from someone who should be in business. He's the type of person that falsely accuses you. Record your call and play it back and let him hear it, he looks like a jackass after you do. He has no leverage to stand on nor any credibility. He just doesn't claim responsibility for his company's inability to fulfill the service long after he takes your money. Next stop, local news media which will light him up and have him scrambling when he hears the recorded calls of him falsely accusing you. Be careful Alan of what you say and get your facts straight because you look stupid when you are completely wrong! Facts come out to prove it. Follow through on what you say you're going to do and grow a pair and have some credibility!

Nick and Tyler just completed our renovation in MMR today. The entire home was renovated in 3 months and every attention to detail was addressed. They responded to every phone call or text in a timely fashion and helped keep me in budget. I would highly recommend this team for a large project or small one.
