I think its fair to say that a large percentage of remodeling projects end with either a desire for divorce, to torch your contractors truck and office, or both. Not so with our most recent significant remodel,

Working with our contractor, Jerry Nowell, his office and the highly skilled and good natured subs he employed, resulted in an experience and outcome that surpassed our expectations. Jerry is a standup guy who was always keeping us updated on all aspects of the project including the good, the bad and, on occasional, ugly. If there were hold ups he was very quick to let us know why and what he had done to address the related issue.. No surprises. When we found ourselves questioning how we wanted to proceed on some aspect of the project, his experience and good eye proved invaluable in the decision process. On many occasions he helped steer us clear of making unnecessarily expensive decisions ,often showing greater concern for our stated budget than we.

Jerry has the unique gift of bringing calm to even the most hectic and potentially stressful aspects of the process. In short we can't recommend him highly enough and or begin to express our true gratitude for his professionalism, honesty and patience throughout the process. Jerry, Yvonne and all the subs, sincerest thanks.

Tony his team literally saved me from a nightmare.  I hired someone who was getting their company up and going to make my brick wall higher in my backyard.  It was originally only 5ft tall and everyone could see in my backyard. This new company completely botched the wall and was not unstained it correctly.  I had to fire them on the spot but they've already created such a mess.  I contacted Tony to come check out the horrible job to see if he could provide me a estimate. He came out the next day and let me know what all needed to be done to correct the issue and finish the job.  The estimate was a fairly priced for the work ahead.  I agreed and he came back the next day with his team.  They had my wall done within hours which included reinforcing and correcting the problem from the first company.  He was super professional,  cleaned up their mess ALONG with the previous company mess  and the communication was great. Joe came out to fix my in-laws' door after an emergency situation where the door got busted. He very promptly assessed and helped me to navigate the process (call insurance, door choices etc) of repair. He was diligent, professional, efficient and kind. I absolutely would recommend him for future home needs.

The wax ring was bad on upstairs toilet and water damage was happening under our tiles damaging the sub floor. The rotted ply wood was replaced and new tiles placed. Amazing work. They were reliable. Efficient, affordable, and communicated well.

These guys are awesome! They did a great job remodeling my office! I highly recommend them for everything!

We used them to replace our baseboards. Excellent job. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again. Very organized, cleaned up as they worked, and very easy to work with.

We couldn't have ask for better quality work or service. Thomas takes a personal interest in each phase of the work. He and his crew went above and beyond to fix things that were not on the original bid with no extra charges. Anyone would be foolish not to use his company for any work needed around your home. I'm a retired builder, and I know good work and good service when I see it. For every step of the way in my water damage repair project, Qualizona's attention to detail and customer satisfaction/communications  were exceptional. Keep up the good work, guys!

We wanted a quote to re-bath a tub/shower enclosure. The salesman gave us the exact amount it would cost and did the measurements. I thought they were a bit high, but I wanted it done right and felt comfortable with this company (not the first we tried) . T
The day came for the work, everyone was on time and did what they said they would. As it turned out the salesman had made an error in measuring out tub. Oh no, I thought, here it goes! But they were great. He said it was not our fault that the measurement was not correct. They proceeded to go out and purchase a brand new tub for the bathroom that would fit their measurements. Everything came out looking awesome! I now trust them to do further work because they stood behind their word when they could have added extra onto the bill or not done anything. I see all of the negative reviews and feel that some people may have had a bad experience, but overall, people want a perfect job for next to nothing and when it isn't absolutely perfect, their review is poor.

This review has been a long time coming, but I honestly  have been avoiding having to relive the experience by writing it out.

This review is specifically for Patterson Landscaping, part of Patterson Homes. We bought a 2018 home on 1.2 acres and we needed to get it landscaped. After getting quotes from several companies, we decided to go with Patterson, who were not the cheapest but gave the impression of pure professionalism. We signed a contract March 2021 for them to extend the pavers on our driveway, create another walkway to the street and a walkway all the way to the back patio, which would be doubled in size with paver overlays. We also wanted some low maintenance plants, a few boulders and rock and a pergola cover over the back patio extension. A huge $40k project that was nothing to scoff at.

They had originally said they would start in 6-8 weeks. They didn't start the project for 16 weeks! They blamed it on being unable to find the correct pavers to match what we already had. When they finally said they found them and they were delivered, they were the wrong pavers! They have been looking for the wrong thing the entire time. The good news was they were able to find the right ones within a week and got started.

They ended up not having estimated enough rock, ordered more, poured it in the wrong place on the right side of the house and were going to leave it looking halfway done over there. We eventually got them to agree to either scrape it or fill the rest of the area in to correct the mistake.

All in all, the front yard project went relatively well and everything looked good. Then we got to the back. As we already had a concrete slab patio that they were going to be extending, they decided to use veneer pavers to overlay on top of the concrete and then extend over the dirt. I wish I had researched this before, but why should I have to? Apparently veneers do not do well over dirt and should ONLY be used on concrete. We realized why afterwards. Our back patio, with the numerous timing delays (for the pavers and for the pergola cover) is very uneven with large dips of single pavers or whole areas. In the areas where water comes off the roof, it has started eroding the quarter minus underneath and now pools. Mortar at the edges of the patio is already cracking. And they have refused to acknowledge or do anything. When we had to have ROC come out to look at it, Guyton promised to amend it any way possible so we would be happy. And then we never heard from him again.

Overall, from signed contracts to completion, it took 9 months (they said it would take 6-8 weeks to start and 2 weeks to complete). They then had to come out 3 months later to fix some broken mortar on the patio. It has since broken again (3 months later). This company is a nightmare of miscommunication and lack of communication. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Our ceiling fan broke. JNB picked up a replacement and efficiently replaced the fan.  Thank you so much.

****SLIMY, LYING, ZERO INTEGRITY**** DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME
Joe, the GC/owner, lied repeatedly throughout the project. He does NOT ever accept any responsibility for his severe inability to communicate with his sub's, us, and his vendor's about the project details. Expect to foreman your own job if you want it done right. MY husband was the foreman from start to finish. Every single sub contractor that came over, every single time never had any direction or idea what to do.
Rather than having integrity and doing what's ethical when mistakes were made *THERE WERE ALOT* by taking responsibility for them, Joe instead placed the blame on me and my husband. EVERY SINGLE TIME. The project went 2.5 months over due date. He continued to give excuses from being too busy to handle the load, to having medical issues, to finally him blaming Covid for the delay.
The final outcome is acceptable, only because my husband spent the time during work giving direction to the sub contractor's and away from work to be home to QC the sub contracto'r work. It's concerning to think how bad it could've been because Joe doesn't have any method for managing his jobs, communicating effectively with anyone, and he doesn't utilize any quality guidelines.
