Best Deck & Railing Contractors in Arizona

We had an issue with a community gate surrounding our pool area in which the gate could be pulled open. Being the work was under warranty and contact was made but the work took close to 7 months to be completed. Multiple phone calls with no return call, requests for a supervisor or owner to return my call with no contact. Even after contact a No Show of all things. Finally the repair was done with no follow up call, email or anything to indicate the repair was done.
By the way no reason or apology was declared.
Deplorable customer service and the gate was average at best.

I had some tile slipping from the crown of the roof so I called a well-known roofing company. They told me I needed to re-roof the whole house, but they couldn't get to it for 6 months. I called Arizona Native Roofing and Jason came out the next day and fixed the problem area with a bag of mortar and repositioning the tiles.

Manuel from AZ SunCovers has done a tremendous job to install a 23*11 patio shade in my backyard. He and his team are very professional, they have completed the work way before the actual timeline. Definitely recommend AZ SunCovers

My wife and I recently moved into a new home that was looking pretty rough on the outside. We set up a walkthrough with Global Elite Builders to look into painting the interior and exterior. They gave us a fantastic quote,  we were ready to book, and then they took it upon themselves to find dangerous problems with our home's electrical wiring. We booked immediately.
Our paint job had difficult time frames and they had to work around a plumber, and they did so with zero issue. They fixed all the dangerous problems with our home and did a fantastic, quick paint job for a great price.
Now, whenever we want to make significant changes to the home we will call Global Elite.

We have a two story house with basement and with that, have two decks.  Through the years, the beams supporting the first floor and second floor decks have been failing.  A result of this is that the wood has become compressable.  Through this, the decks started to sag, a very dangerous situation.  

We called around and were very fortunate to find Yavapai Decks, Abide Construction.  Nate talked with me about the project and fortunately had a couple of open days in the near future.  He came out and gave me an estimate, which I accepted.  Later that week he came out and did the repair.  This involved jacking up the decks so he could remove the bad lumber.  

The end result is that we now have a very solid foundation for our decks.  The work was done beautifully and structurally sound.  He even painted the supports the exact color of the existing structure.  I only wish that Yavapai Decks did other work - we would hire them in an instant!

Keystone has done a ton of work for us over the past year, and we've been thrilled with the results every time! The owners Daniel and Robert are so pleasant to work with--they're great listeners and they always ensure that things turn out the way we want them. They've given us advice about alternate materials or approaches that might work better than what we had planned, and any time we've gone with their recommendations, it has turned out great. They've helped us problem-solve several tricky aspects of our yard design. We've hired them for so many different things that I couldn't select all the categories. Here are some of the projects they've done for us:

- Masonry and block work, including retaining walls with stucco
- Beautiful stone veneer on our spa facing and travertine tile on the raised bond beam wall of our pool
- They did our pool coping in natural flagstone
- They helped us with some drainage problems where our yard was flooding anytime we had heavy rains

Great service from a retired Fireman and Sheriff's Department. They were quick, efficient, and quoted a very fair price on a broken down closet that looked to be a hazard.  

They were conscious to wear masks and very professional and friendly.

We had a new concrete porch poured and needed a railing. They were here the day after we hired them. They finished the job in 2 days and it looks great. It's very solid and stable.

I have been in Contracting for 20 years and I am very rarely met with the level of customer service I have received from this company so far.  The owner called me today to follow up on an estimate I requested only a few hours prior and after giving me the estimate over the phone, informed me that he was sorry for the Delay and that he had had a Small Heart Attack over the weekend.  ummm...Today is MONDAY...only 2 days after a heart attack and the man is getting back to me within hours?? AND is sorry for the delay???!!!  I am blown away and will be doing business with him I HOPE for many years to come.  SERVICE LIKE NO OTHER!

Russ is a great handyman we just moved into a new house he helped us hanging pictures and tvs along with a gigantic stuffed marlin. He does quality work at a reasonable price I highly recommend.

We had a leak in our roof that caused some damage internally.  Not only did he fix the damage (perfectly).  He called around to get someone to fix the roof.  I had called several roofers and no one called me back.  

He does quality work at a fair price.  He keeps you updated along the way (which is really appreciated).

Had a very complicated remodel requiring redoing the veneer on a large curved beam as well as building a curved, twisting hand rail, volute and finally adding new iron balusters. These guys did a beautiful job. True craftsmen.  I would highly recommend them

We contracted them to remove grass in our front yard and replace it with desert landscape. It looked great when they finished. One week later there was more grass showing than rock. They neglected to kill the grass they hadn't completely dug up nor had they put down that anti vegetation cloth. They came out and did a half assed job of putting down cloth. They left spaces around the large rocks and plants. Still grass all over. First big rain I had water in my house along a side wall. They didn't remove enough dirt on my side lawn. They just dumped rock and killed the drainage. I could see dirt in most places, not 4 inches of rock. They came out and put in a 'French' drain which almost worked, sort of. I still get a bunch of water when it rains. Never, ever had water in there before, but have given up on Straight Line ever fixing the problem. I almost forgot about the poor job of planting they did. See other reviews and you'll get the idea. It would have been more economic to leave my St Augustine and privot hedges, water it and not have water in my house...................... Or maybe not used Straight line?

Never responded to multiple requests. Don't even bother asking for one. I had other contractors respond that my project was not in their scope of work. Easy peasy. These guys don't respond which is what probably would happen after you have them money

Decker construction deserved 10 stars! Great work. Clean work. Finished jobs before expected times, employees are nice. Overall a great company. Prices are fair and work completed is subperb.

We needed to repair our cool deck around our pool so we went with this company to install Carvestone at a cost of over $9000 in 2016. Last year we did a reseal for over $1700.  We requested a maintenance repair quote in November and have yet to hear back.  The Carvestone looks terrible and we now have noticed small pin prick holes in the surface.  This is a terrible product and the company is no better.  They have no customer service or follow through.  

We are out over $10,000 and will probably need to do something else to make this look good.  Look at the pictures to get an idea.  Picture 2-hard to see the holes but they are there.
