Best Plumbing Services in Houston, TX

I had contacted this plumber for issues I had with a leaky faucet and a hot water heater that had gone out.  My tenant had contacted me about these issues and I had noticed on yelp of the stellar reviews.   I decided to give this plumber a try.  Several days ago, I had a bathroom faucet changed out.  My tenant had noticed that it was leaking afterward.  I figured either the tubing or rubber gasket in the tubing had worn out and needed replacing.  Since I am usually at work and unable to fix this in timely manner,  I hired this company to do the job.  Later, that day my tenant notified me that the plumber had came and left, but had charged her $99.  The faucet itself however was not fixed.  He had only came out for diagnosis only.  I would have to reschedule him later if I wanted him to fix leak.  I was a little annoyed as I would have to make new arrangement for him to return and fix issue on problem I had already deduced.  I didn't need him to tell me solution I had already figured out.  Several days later, I had another plumber assist me with this.  He picked up couple of tubings from Home Depot and had this fixed in less than an hour.  

As regard to the hot water heater, the plumber had recommended that I replaced the fire burning assembly.  Since he had difficulty finding the part, he diagnosed that one solution is to replace the entire hot water heater.  I researched online and came to conclusion that the hot water heater unit does not need replacing, just the thermocouple.  After watching several YouTube videos, I realized that replacing the thermocouple is a simple process.  The part is readily available at Home Depot for ~$12.   I replaced the damaged thermocouple and had the hot water heater up and running in about an hour.  Though this is not the recommended way of fixing my problem and likely voided any warranty per the manufacturer and plumber, I was able to save over $1000.  I was fine with that as the unit is over 9 years old and likely had no more warranty.  If my tinkering didn't fix the problem, I was willing to replace the entire unit.  Luckily, I didn't need to do that.  In the process I was able to gain an understanding of the inner working of a hot water heater.  From a plumbers point of view, I could understand his stance as he was only following manufacturer's recommended process.  

Though this plumber might be excellent at what he does, sometimes a quick research online might save you lots of money for simple DIY projects.

Randy sent an awesome plumber from his team the next afternoon to assess the leaking water in our garage. Cameron was extremely nice and quickly assessed our broken water line and got right to work. We had a clogged drain that made the washing machine, the pool backwash, and a toilet drain (all on the same line) overflow. I tried fixing it myself by renting a snake from Home Depot, but couldn't. Plumbco was called because of very good online reviews. I explained to Gary what the problem was, and the three places where the water had overflowed. He said it would cost $196.00 to open the line. That sounded like a lot, but we needed it done. Gary and his partner used a big snake to open the main drain, but the 10-foot stretch from the dishwasher to the main drain remained closed. He said opening the main line usually fixed the problem, but he would need to get a different snake from his truck to finish the job. He said he would do it for an additional $98.00. I objected because we had agreed on a price to open the line, and the dishwasher drain was part of the problem I had showed him in the beginning. I said if his initial quote had been almost $300.00, I would have looked for another plumber. Gary argued that if I had to rent two different snakes, I would have had to pay more. While this is true, he is the professional and quoted a price that I agreed to. He already had the equipment and just had to walk 30 feet to his truck to get it. Even with using the second snake they were there for just 20 minutes. I would think being paid at the rate of $588.00 an hour would be enough for anyone, let alone $882.00! Incidentally, I paid $196.00, as agreed.

Update- Gary B. messaged me shortly after I posted my Yelp review. He said, It is so sad that people like you have to make bad reviews because you could not do it yourself and don't want to pay a professional. Actually, I did want to pay a professional, and good money at that! My review is a factual and honest account of my experience, which is what Yelp is for. Since Gary could not challenge what I wrote, he attacked me instead. Now, that's sad.

2nd update- Now Gary B. tells me he is notifying my employer about my review. Not sure what he thinks that will accomplish, but I don't care for the attacks and threats. Beware, neighbors!

We had to get a toilet replaced and Right Choice plumbing was responsive and flexible with scheduling. While they were here, they were able to spot a leak and was able to fix that as well. Can't say enough about these guys, friendly, knowledgeable and great service overall.

I've built houses for decades and I enjoyed Hector and his crew while they repiped my own home this week. I had most of the repipe companies out to give me bids and I personally didn't like the corners they were going to cut.
I wanted a few things different that the normal job and Hector took care of everything and finished early. With everything done to my high standards.
Great communication on the phone and an honest man. They left yesterday afternoon completely done and I was very satisfied with choosing Acacias Plumbing to put pex throughout my home and with a minimum of mess to have my Sheetrock guy fix today.

This is a correction for my Yelp review yesterday.  Kim Vo from Drain Control called me up right away after I posted a one-star review, and set up an appointment for following day, today, @ 10:30 and he was right on time.  He reviewed by leaking situation, and advisee me to consult a Leak Detector since he could not locate the leaking which maybe inside the exterior stucco wall due to my re-plumbing in my house.  We are good to go on this Drain Control, and happy to know him for our next plumbing and drain issue.  Thanks Kim!

Used them again to install our new toilet and replace the outdoor faucet. They had some free time Saturday morning and he called me if they can swing by if we're available. Luckily, we're just home so they got here 15 after he called. I'm so glad I didn't have to wait til Monday to get in their schedule!

Alex actually fixed the leak on our outdoor faucet. He told us how much it would cost if we decide to replace it. We didn't have to replace it but I knew it's only gonna to be matter of time before it leaks again. So, we decided to go ahead and replace it.

We also had a busted outdoor pipe (from the previous freeze) but this pipe is only for our sprinkler system (that we never use anymore). He told us our options and how much it would cost; or just leave it be since we don't use it anyway. We decided to leave it and tend to it later when we're about to sell the house.

Amazing customer service!! My manifold cap was leaking water everywhere all down the wall and into the garage!  I called this guy this morning and he helped me fix my problem over the phone and didn't charge me a dime! Called to have a cartridge replaced in my bathroom sink. I had the part, it should have taken 30 minutes. The tech did a home inspection and came up with over $6k in repairs, including a membership to JD Plumbing and 2 new water heaters, (which work just fine) after an hour of upselling me. We finally got to the job at hand and he wanted to charge me $547 to change a sink handle cartridge. Still not repaired. All I wanted was a simple fix for my sink. Just a plumber, not a salesman.

Had a water leak in the front yard at the meter so it ended up being my problem rather than the city's to fix. Called Alliance Plumbing and they had someone out here within 30 mins. Nick was a great representative for their company, he explained where the problem was and gave me some options on fixing it. One was to just replace the part that was broke or I could get the whole line replaced. Went with option one since that cost was significantly lower. Nick was helpful explaining the process of the job and made the fix quickly even tho he got hit with some rain while he was working. If Alliance Plumbing Services has other workers like Nick, then this company should be around for a very long time, he's the type of employee all companies strive to have on their staff. As long as the fix holds up well over time I will definitely continue to use Alliance Plumbing Services in the future. SUPPORT LOCAL businesses and avoid corporations if at all possible.

Contracted through HomeServ to prepare outside leak at water line.  Once scheduled, they kept us informed of changes.  Although our appointment was moved out twice, we were pleased overall with their service, quality of work, and timeliness and would likely use them again.

I have moved into my Mom's house that was built in 1970 to care for her.  I used Abacus a few times for smaller projects and did not get multiple quotes.  The technicians were always very communicative, timely, kind, considerate, and helpful.  They always tidied up before they left.  

I had a problem wit the AC just at the beginning of summer so I called Abacus. The technician recommended a new ac and heater.  Whoa!! I wasn't prepared to spend $13,000!  So I got to more companies to come out.  The second company said it could be replaced for $7,000. The last company was one whose business card I found on the side of the fridge. They came out and told me they had been servicing her ac and heater twice a year for goodness knows how many years. They had not been able to reach her and assumed she had passed away (Mom is 93 and can hardly eat so doesn't answer the phone).  He checked it out and came out of the attic in about 39 minutes.  He said it was fixed, very small repair.  Needless to say his business card is on the front of the fridge!

I am so disappointed that Abacus tried to take advantage of us.  I really liked so much about Abacus but I cannot dismiss.
