Wedgeworth Plumbing - Seabrook Plumbing Service
If you're looking for a good plumber for those pesky home repairs, you can feel very comfortable with Wedgeworth Plumbing.   We had an issue that required attention towards the end of the day.   The people here were great.  They answered the phone with a great attitude and willingness to help.   They didn't wait to schedule for another day. They had a proactive approach to helping a customer in need.   One of their guys, Donnie, came as soon as he finished with another client.  Their communication was good and Donnie was punctual.   He was rock solid. He was able to fix our problem in a very timely fashion. He had all the parts, tools, helpful, made sure the problem was fixed to our satisfaction and was clean.   You can't go wrong with these guys.

Plumbco Plumbing Service
We recently hired Plumbco to replace the water pipes in our 1951 Oak Forest home from galvanized steel to PEX.  We asked several companies for quotes and Plumbco was the most reasonable among established and reputable plumbing companies.  I got some quotes that were lower but they were from plumbers that would not have provided a warranty to back up their work and didn't have a brand name to protect as much as a company like Plumbco.

We quickly scheduled the work, although it had to be delayed a couple days due to weather.  I am grateful that they had the foresight to delay because our yard would have been a mess if they had started when we originally scheduled.

The work took two days (technically three to finalize the city's inspection).  The work was done as promised in a clean and orderly fashion.  My wife felt very comfortable with their staff.  We ran into an issue with the new water heater unexpectedly being a bit larger than our original, but Gary and the rest of the team were extremely professional about it and agreed to compensate me for a portion of the cost to expand the closet where the water heater is placed because we weren't aware of this needing to be done when we got their quote.  Also, when the inspector noted a few minor things to fix, they quickly came out to make sure everything was right (even though some of the things the city required didn't make any sense).

This is a well-run company that hasn't lost it's sense of purpose and is willing to get things right over making an extra dollar.  The water pressure in our house is now exceptional, the leaks are gone, and the new pipes are generally working great.  We highly recommend Plumbco for residential plumbing needs.  We will be calling them again when we replace the sewer line in the coming years.

Drain Control Plumbing Service
A rainwater drain that carried water from a downspout to the street had been clogged for years.  I finally decided to see if someone could clean it out and stop the flooding near my house.
I called Kim and scheduled his time.  He was early for his appointment and I appreciated that.  His communication skills were perfect and he understood the problem immediately and went to work.  He flushed the street drain and then went to the top of my downspout pipe and flushed out all of the debris from that end.  The pipes were full of leaves and mud and even a living frog who managed to escape unhurt.  After the job was complete, he cleaned the gutter, the street and the side of the house that had dirt splashed on it from the unclogging.  Very conscientious!
Kim was easy to work with and a very interesting young man to converse with.  His honesty was refreshing and his pricing fair.  I love dealing with family owned businesses because they are fully invested in getting the job done right the first time.
I would use him any time again!

Houston's Handy Hero Plumbing Service
Based on Hugo's 5 star reviews I decided to use him to install my outdoor Ring camera with 2 lights. He arrived on time, was professional and we discussed the work I needed. He completed the job on time, added something extra for a better install and then made sure the camera was set up and facing the direction I wanted. Plus, he charged what he quoted my on the dollar! I was happy to give him a tip for the extra mile he went for my home. I have been looking for a handyman for odd jobs around my house and I will definitely be using Hugo again.

This guy was the only one who responded to my Yelp request for water heater repair. The others never responded or said they only work on what they install. Even though the issue hasn't been fixed, I like to acknowledge this guys responsiveness and eagerness to win your business.

JD Precision Plumbing Services Plumbing Service
Buyer beware. My experience with JD Precision Plumbing goes as follows:

1. Back at the end of 2017 I had what seemed to be a blocked drainage pipe from my washing machine so water back-flowed into the house. Bad new. Okay, so I call JD.
2. The plumber comes out and tries to snake the pipe with no luck. That job costs $345 and we still don't have a clear drain pipe. Darn.
3. So he tears into the wall, installs a cleanout so he can use a heavier duty snake. Still no luck! Darn! That job costs $600, I have 2 giant holes in my wall, and I still don't have a clear drain pipe.
4. At this point, the plumber determines that the problem is not a clog in the pipe. No! It's a belly in the pipe, which causes water to pool and will cost several thousands to fix. Wow. Darn. Okay. So not only do I have 2 giant holes in my wall that the plumber isn't going to fix, but I also have a hefty new diagnosis i.e. the problem is WAY WORSE than I imagined. And In order to fix this alleged belly, the plumber will need to go on an exploratory hunt for my pipe, locate the belly somewhere in my yard potentially under concrete, yada, yada, blah blah blah. All of that will cost in the ballpark of 2K or maybe 5K or maybe more--who the hell knows? Point is, even with this dire diagnosis, I have very little info about the problem and the location thereof and the pricing thereof after I've already spent nearly $1000.
6. After the plumber leaves, I feel completely taken for a ride. I contact JD to see if there's anything they can do because this style of pricing, whereby the customer gets taken unwittingly on an expensive journey feels wrong somehow. Also, there's 2 giant holes in my wall. When I finally speak to a human, it is like speaking to a recording with a bad attitude. He is curt, unapologetic, and offers me nothing beyond the company line. K cool.
7. Over the past year, the issue has persisted because I could not fathom the idea of paying untold thousands of dollars for a sketchy-seeming mission to rip up my yard. Turns out, that was for the best. Cut to today, where, with the purchase of an $11 plumbing bladder from Home Depot, I am able to discover that the other end of the pipe abuts an entire foot of dirt/grass/roots. So there was a clog, just not anywhere near where the plumber's snake could reach. Moral of the story: there was not a belly and my problem was solved by an $11 plumbing tool that surely a plumber has heard of. The pipe is now clear and I ran my first load of laundry in years that has not backed water into my house. Thanks JD Precision Plumbing! JK. Thanks for nothing, I mean.
8. It's hard not to look at the events and see that before worst-case scenario-ing me, the plumber should have been slightly more creative. To the tune of $11. Also, the holes in my wall that cost me $600 were unnecessary.

Alliance Plumbing Services Plumbing Service
Had a water leak in the front yard at the meter so it ended up being my problem rather than the city's to fix. Called Alliance Plumbing and they had someone out here within 30 mins. Nick was a great representative for their company, he explained where the problem was and gave me some options on fixing it. One was to just replace the part that was broke or I could get the whole line replaced. Went with option one since that cost was significantly lower. Nick was helpful explaining the process of the job and made the fix quickly even tho he got hit with some rain while he was working. If Alliance Plumbing Services has other workers like Nick, then this company should be around for a very long time, he's the type of employee all companies strive to have on their staff. As long as the fix holds up well over time I will definitely continue to use Alliance Plumbing Services in the future. SUPPORT LOCAL businesses and avoid corporations if at all possible.

Texas Quality Plumbing Plumbing Service
We hired Texas Quality Plumbing to install an undermount sink as our previous granite composite sink was cracked.
Day 1-first person they sent said the new sink would work but it was a 2 man job and he would return another day with an extra person.
Day 2- 2 workers showed up  and attached it to the countertop but said he would have to return another day to hook up all of the pipes under the sink. We agreed on a time a few days later. I called there office to confirm the time of 3:00-5:00 pm.  After he left we saw that he had chipped the granite close to the faucet. I have pictures from when I was looking for a matching sink to prove that it wasn't like this before. He also left a paper towel to catch any water drips around the line that comes from my HVAC system which drains into the sink drain. Needless to say that the water started flowing unto the floor a few hours later.  A good thing we were home.
Day 3- The plumber texted he was on his way at 1:00pm.  I called the office and they apologized for the time mix up. She said your appt. is 3-5 and we will call you 30 min. in advance. At 4:00 they called to tell me the plumber was at my house. It took me 30 min. to get home.
This plumber, not the same as the 1st or 2nd guy, said the sink didn't really fit but he would try to make it work. After 1 1/2 hours he said he would need to come back another day to hook up the drain pipes, he couldn't say when. After I called their office he said he would come at 8 AM tomorrow.
Very frustrated at this point.  SO, we will see if they show up tomorrow.
Stay tuned!

Abacus Plumbing Air Conditioning & Electrical Plumbing Service
Called them after the freeze and the appointment wa 7 days later.  Finally nine days later they sent me a text wanting to know if I still needed service. Did not even answer them!  A local plumbing company came out the same day and fixed the split valve. (S & B PLMBING ON Bournewood, Sugar Land).  Stay away from these guys even if it is a Tom Tynan recommended company.   After reading other reviews I guess I was lucky they did not come out!!!f
