I needed a plumber on Monday morning to finish up a DIY project that I had given up on Saturday evening. I was desperate. John was booked for Monday, but he promised to try to work me in that evening and come Tuesday morning if he could not make it on Monday. I really appreciate his willingness to do that. I did not use him because I found someone else who could do the job on Monday. John was very grateful when I called to cancel our appointment. He asked me to give him a Yelp review, so here it is. He did all he could for me - more than several other folks I called.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! We have 2 attic spaces and the smaller one froze with the nasty cold weather we are having and burst our copper pipes right above the master bathroom. I called every plumbing service I could find that had 24 hour service, but no one was answering phones. With pipes bursting all over the city, it was very difficult to find someone.  I was very fortunate to get a hold of Hector and he said he could be at our place the next day. That night, my husband discovered that his father's house also had several breaks. Long story short, Hector has our house back to normal after patching up 5 leaks! He was very professional and reasonably priced. He is scheduled to repair my father-in-law's home this weekend. I recommended him to a couple neighbors who also had damage and they are also happy with his work. I very much recommend this business.

On Christmas Eve I was made to wait at home the entire night on a promise that they were working late (I called multiple times to assure that I was being covered that night) , Only to be told via automatic text that I had been pushed back to Christmas Day . I missed a yearly gathering with my family so I could get my pipes fixed last night , I refuse to wait around all of Christmas Day on a maybe at best . Thanks for nothing y'all !!! ( Rescheduled at 10:18 pm after waiting since 6 pm )

I wanted to give them another shot after I was unimpressed with their repipe of my house because I'd like to have a reliable plumber in mind if the need arises. They quoted me $3700 to install a gas line 28 feet from the meter to appliance or $1500 if I dug the trench myself. Long story short, I did the job myself. It took me 6 hours and 10 minutes of work at a cost of $178.93 for materials and for a licensed inspector to come out and approve it as well as my insurance companies approval. Just the fact that they were going to charge an additional $1700 for the trench that only took me just about an hour is insane.

We had a number of plumbing issues that needed to be fixed. I found Alex through Nextdoor.com ~ our community blog site. He wrote up an estimate on 2/19/18 and we made the appointment only two days later, 02/21/18 ~ none were emergencies or I'm sure he would have adjusted his schedule to accommodate us. He called before coming, he was punctual, professional and explained exactly what the problems were and what needed to be done. He resolved one fix in particular on a shower knob cartridge that had broken off internally and found a way to remove it which would have been very costly & extensive otherwise.

He used his ingenuity, experience and expertise to resolve all our plumbing issues ~ and his prices are very reasonable by comparison. He is, also, up on all the newest parts and equipment ~ and he's neat!

Requested a quote and sent pictures on installing a toilet. Cairo came out and did an awesome job installing it on a hard tile floor after removing the old flange that broke off. They did a wonderful job and highly recommend them and will use them again.

Water heater replacement. Showed up a little after the scheduled time and left a bit of debris but other than that they gave me a much better price than with others I had quoted and I had a new water heater under 3hrs.

I have used JD for my personal house, at my office, and I have referred them to several customers. They are hands down the best plumbing company that I have ever found. Their customer service is unmatched. The scheduling is simple, you receive an email prior to your appointment with a picture and a short bio of the plumber that will be sent out. I mean who else does that!? On top of that, every plumber that they have sent out has been polite, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. They take the time to explain exactly what is going on and your different options. They are not the cheapest plumbing service around, but their prices are reasonable for the quality of service that they provide. They are truly worth every penny. I'm so glad I found JD. I will never use another plumbing service again, and I send all of my family and friends to them.

Contracted through HomeServ to prepare outside leak at water line.  Once scheduled, they kept us informed of changes.  Although our appointment was moved out twice, we were pleased overall with their service, quality of work, and timeliness and would likely use them again.

This is one of those times I wish I had looked at the yelp reviews before calling Abacus. Avoid them at all costs as they are scam / ripoff artists. I had used them before and I was satisfied with the work they did if not the price. This Time I needed a light switch replaced, a simple job, I thought, so since there was 2 of them in the same switch cover I thought I would replace both of them. He had an estimate of $235 to replace one, which included the trip to evaluate (usually $150) which I can understand, but for 2 he just doubled the price. $470 to replace 2 light switches. that is a rip-off. I will look elsewhere when I need services.
