I have hired this company several times to do repairs, and they are always reliable and do a good job.

There have been lots of surprise repairs after purchasing a 30-year-old home which is also my first house ever. I have used Acosta twice so far in only three weeks. The first time I had a leak under the kitchen sink and an issue with the garbage disposal. Acosta was able to come out the very same day to make the repairs. I ended up having the garbage disposal replaced and the pipes repaired under the sink. They were knowledgeable and quick. The second repair happened when I heard water pouring in the backyard. An old pipe that supplies the water hose had disconnected. I called Acosta and they were able to work me in the very same day. The repairs were thorough. The person who answers the phone is super nice and you can tell she really cares about the issue at hand and works to get someone out to help. I highly recommend this business!

Often times in life you find yourself in need of assistance and sometimes you are not able to get the help you need, in this case John went out of his way to help direct the situation to much better position while going between jobs. He truly went above and beyond!!

Gary is awesome.  He called as he was headed my way and they were so respectful and clean with their work.  I don't understand the other review - his price was below what others quoted me.

Right choice was very available to answer all my questions regarding a water heater project I needed done. They educated me on the difference between on demand electric vs a smart tank water heater and helped me choose the best for my home. They built a platform for me to get my new water heater back to code and at the right height and also helped me to fix some piping issues that arose during installation. The team was professional, thorough and polite. I'll be calling them again when I need to update my toilet. Thank you Travis and Justin for your expertise.

I'm so pleased with the response I got from Kim. I called several plumbing companies who could only come out days later at overtime rates. One of them referred me to Drain Control. Kim responded right away and took care of the problem within a couple of hours. Drain Control will be my first call next time.

He hasn't came to my home but he was very helpful in answering all my questions and I had a million and one questions and he gave my honest answers and made me feel really good

Extremely disappointed with the communication and professionalism from the owner Nathan. I had Texas plumbing come do a remodel project for my house, moved drains and gas pipes. His men did the work, they were great until I started having issues with the city inspection and a gas leak that seemed to be inconvenient for the owner. I called and texted the owner about the gas leak, but he never reached back out to me. I ended up having to pay someone else to fix his work and was left without hot water for two weeks!!!! I would not hire this company again due to the lack of communication, and complete egocentric attitude he has. I was so sad to find the gas leak when in fact this was his job to check after moving gas lines. communicating with the owner on this project, he was demeaning, over talked me and down right awful. If you hire this company as a woman be prepared to be ignored, not spoken to properly and over talked. Don't use them.

These guys are THE BEST!!!  Our house flooded last spring and since then we've had them out several times for everything from replacing valves to a new hot water heater.  They always return my calls within a few minutes and provide next-day service.  Their prices are more than reasonable and they give quotes over the phone, which they stick to.  No surprises!  The work they do is outstanding and every employee I've met has been extremely helpful and courteous.  

On a side note, the first time EPW Services came out to replace some plumbing, one of the plumbers, Jordan, got shocked a couple of times by a water pipe.  He suggested we call an electrician, which we did, and come to find out our house wasn't grounded.  Besides being overall awesome, by detecting the voltage in our plumbing these guys literally might have saved our lives.

Since our house flooded we've had so many contractors come through to do various kinds of work, but none have impressed me like EPW Services.  It gives me a real sense of security to know that if I need help I can call on them for honest, dependable and friendly service.

Experienced my first plumbing emergency as a homeowner, on a Sunday of course! Alex came out the same day and spent the day fixing my issue and pointing out some flaws in on system that could cause me trouble in the future. I'm happy with the work and the quick response and will definitely be calling First Aid again for my future plumbing needs.

Requested a quote and sent pictures on installing a toilet. Cairo came out and did an awesome job installing it on a hard tile floor after removing the old flange that broke off. They did a wonderful job and highly recommend them and will use them again.

Water heater replacement. Showed up a little after the scheduled time and left a bit of debris but other than that they gave me a much better price than with others I had quoted and I had a new water heater under 3hrs.

I found this plumber on The Best of The Woodland's website and there is a reason why they are there. They are terrific. I had a minor plumbing emergency and they worked me into the schedule that day even though I was a first time customer. The technician was efficient, knowledgeable and personable. I will definitely use them again.

Augustin was prompt and professional and identified and fixed the problem quickly.  Obviously everyone hates having to call a plumber, but if you have to then call Agustin.

They contract with homserve. I tell them the stem is leaking and when I turn the kitchen faucet and bathtub faucet to hot water the pressure drops drastically. I walked Josue over to the bathroom and turned the faucet on in the tub. The stem leaked and when I turned it all the way to hot the pressure dropped. He says it's the interior plumbing that needs to be replaced because Houston has hard water and all of the minerals (which he started naming like magnesium and phosphorus) mixing with the hot water causes scaling. I have interior coverage with home serve and it is covered (scaling over time can cause a complete blockage)
per home serves interior coverage copied straight from their contract if you put in 77029 as the area code.

Like I said I turn the tub faucet on along with the bathroom sink on so he can see the dramatic difference. He says that the interior plumbing needs to be replaced. A lot of older homes have galvanized pipes and over time scaling happens. Josue says let me go out to my van and speak with homserve to try and get it covered.  Home serve calls me and says that the valve is a fixture, and it isn't covered. I'm like huh (the girl with home serve is named Nika and she had a very bad attitude) I said we didn't talk about him replacing the valve. I said the stem was leaking and he said the interior pipes needs to be replaced. She then states that he didn't say anything about the interior pipes. Josue is still sitting in his van. At this point I have an extra device and I am recording this entire conversation because I knew it was going to be some BS and if you are wondering Texas has a one-party law and I consented to being recorded, look it up!

I asked him did he tell her about the interior plumbing needing to be replaced. He said yeah I mentioned it but like I told you home serve won't cover it because you still have pretty good pressure. the only time I have seen them cover it is when there was a complete blockage. then Nika says that there has to be below 30psi in two or more fixtures open in order for it to be considered low water pressure. She said that my water pressure is measuring 50 psi with two or more fixtures open and that's why home serve is not covering.  I asked her how she knew it was 50 psi when he never gauged the water. I had to go outside an ask him to gauge the water.

I kid you not I am being told two different things from Josue who has totally changed his story and Nika the idiot with a bad attitude.   He never checks the pressure in my home. I tell him to come back inside and check the pressure. he says ok ill come back in and check the pressure. He never comes back in. I start recording him sitting in his freakin van. I go back outside cause home serve tries to call me again. I answer it but don't hear anything then they hang up and don't try to call again. Like I said I am recording. I go ask him what is he doing because he never came back in the house, and he never gauged the water pressure. he says yes, I did I have the pictures. I said show me. he placed a gauge on the outside valve infront of my home and says that it is registering 60 psi. When I checked my audio recording Nika said my psi was registering 50 now Josue says its 60.  I asked him why he didn't gauge the pressure in my actual home on one of the fixtures because that's what Nika said.

There is a character limit on this, but I have Nika and Josue on recording. Very unprofessional, bad business on home serve and Texas Quality Plumbing. This business can contact me if they want to listen to the audio. Josue didn't check any of the fixtures in the house. I turned the water on in the shower and the bathroom faucet. that's as far as his inspection went. I called homeserve to let them know they are sending out another plumber.  i dont think I can attach the audio but I would if I could. I took video of him sitting in his van which what he basically got paid to do but not sure if i can post that either

This is one of those times I wish I had looked at the yelp reviews before calling Abacus. Avoid them at all costs as they are scam / ripoff artists. I had used them before and I was satisfied with the work they did if not the price. This Time I needed a light switch replaced, a simple job, I thought, so since there was 2 of them in the same switch cover I thought I would replace both of them. He had an estimate of $235 to replace one, which included the trip to evaluate (usually $150) which I can understand, but for 2 he just doubled the price. $470 to replace 2 light switches. that is a rip-off. I will look elsewhere when I need services.
