I am the type of person to really never write reviews unless someone goes totally above and beyond awesome or is just terrible and actively tries not to do the right thing. My experience with Wedgeworth Plumbing was definitely the latter. Wedgeworth really screwed us and made life terrible for a couple days, and when given the opportunity to help make it right decided not to. It was so bad that my wife actually convinced me to write a review just so others will avoid them and have a better day because of it.
We had a faucet leak in our condo, and so decided to have 2 faucets and a bathtub spout replaced. We decided to schedule an appointment with Wedgeworth since the Yelp reviews seemed great (now I really cannot believe these other reviews). Rex came out as scheduled. After looking at everything, he told us he could make the fixes and we even signed a form to that extent. The estimated price was way more than I expected and than I had paid for similar services in the past, but he was out there and we figured best to just get it done.
After hearing some leaking and spraying noises, he told us that he in fact couldn't fix the leaking faucet. We were bummed to hear this, but decided best to get everything else done and then find someone else to do the faucet the next day.
He then went to install the matching bathroom faucet and shower hardware. Upon removing the old shower hardware, he broke the old hardware (the plastic inside cracked and fell off). Then, only after removing the old hardware and while doing so breaking it, he determined he could not install the new hardware due to a fit issue. We asked him if we could still use the shower and he said he would not recommend it. We have a 1 bedroom 1 bath condo, and when we asked him what he recommended to do, he said wow, this is your only bathroom? Uh, sorry. My wife and I couldn't believe it. He then charged us the full fee for the one thing he did complete, the bathroom faucet which took all of 20 minutes: $210. I paid it just to get this guy out of our house.
We ended up having to call another plumber who was able to fix everything and more for WAY better value.
UPDATE: Sean, who runs the company, quickly reached out to make the situation right after I posted the review. I only called him back after a week+ due to the holidays, but he immediately picked up and made time to speak. He seemed to really want to do the right thing and make the situation right (not just appease me to correct my review). While it doesn't fix the issues we experienced, I can say that he did whatever he could, including offering a partial refund of what was charged and that certainly does count for something. Updating to 2 stars/updating review and letting it be known that the manager really does care and will take responsibility and offer a gesture if you have a bad experience.

Often times in life you find yourself in need of assistance and sometimes you are not able to get the help you need, in this case John went out of his way to help direct the situation to much better position while going between jobs. He truly went above and beyond!!

I woke up at 3am and saw that I had a water leak. It turned out to be my Hot water line. I turned off the water and later in the morning I call a different plumbing company and they came out and wanted $1500 and THEN charge more to replace the drywall they cut out. I was referred to Right Choice Plumbing and called them and they took great care of my plumbing. I called him at close to 5pm fully expecting to be told they can't come out until the next day. When I told him it was the hot water line he came out that night and fixed it within no time. I will not call the big plumbing company that takes full advantage of people, instead I will call Right Choice Plumbing. They absolutely live up to their business name!!! Thank you so much for your help.

Highly recommend Acacias Plumbing LLC for plumbing needs. Completed my repipe from galvanized to PEX. -1.5 days for whole house with master plumber and two other plumbers. -Lump sum cost based on unit rate by fixture count. No change orders and kept to original estimate. 10 year warranty. -All PEX was installed with insulation and using high quality material. -Licensed and knowledgeable family owned. -Reasonable, fair pricing that is not increased due to current demand. -Takes pride in work and inspector complimented quality of work and had no issues next day. Attention to detail to ensure minimal drywall cuts. -Also cleared washer drain line clog at a reasonable price. -Contact master plumber named Hector.

After the city did some sort of cleaning of the main sewer line we had a back up. We called the city and they came out but said it wasn't them... sigh... it was a Friday night right before Christmas and all I could think was shelling out a bunch of money for snaking/flushing and possibly repairs at the holidays with company coming in just a week . I put out a few quote requests on yelp and got a few responses but Kim was quick and very detailed. He came the next morning, explained to my husband everything he saw on his camera and was super thorough. It takes a LOT to impress my husband and he was super impressed with Kim's work and how much information he provided. We would recommend him to anyone who needed any work done, he's defiantly a great plumber

Hugo was on time, knowledgeable and very neat. Had a door that would not lock due to an older home on a crawl space, Hugo knew exactly what to do! He was quick and verbally told me everything he was going to do. This is a handyman that I will definitely keep the number of! Can't go wrong with this guy!

I've used this company a few times and they are always amazing. Great communication and service at reasonable prices. Will not ever use anyone else!

Told me he could not replace a 4x 6 portion of a floor. When I was younger and in good health, I could replace a plywood floor and I certainly never claimed to be a handyman. I suppose if you want him to replace a light bulb, call him. Otherwise call a REAL handyman!

We hired Texas Plumbing to change a hot water heater in our rental house. They came out the next morning and it was done in three hours. They are coming out tomorrow morning, a Saturday, to check out a leak. Response is fast and friendly.

We tried to get a few other plumbers before finding this company and dealt with lots of unprofessionalism before them. They were great!

Our hot water heater stopped working after we came back from a vacation in late June. We called First Aid Plumbing and Alex came out to the house quickly. He seemed very polite and wore shoe cover in the house. He lit the two pilots and fixed the water heater. But after his work, one of our shower stopped working. He said we need to hire a tile guy to make the tile opening bigger. We finally asked general contractor to come out. The contractor didn't break any tile, as he found out the hot water valve behind the tile opening was somehow turned off by someone. I am happy we didn't need to repair the shower, but couldn't help wondering who turned this valve off. It can be reached only after you took the shower apart. Our house is fairly new and we never worked on this shower before. In addition ,I feel Alex was very polite, but not very problem focused. He charged $40 for the trip fee, and $198 to light the two pilots. He also charged $424 for installing two valves on cold side of the heater, and one temperature valve. When I think back, I don't think it was necessary to add/change those valves.

I had an issue with my sink being stopped up and I sent them a request and they immediately answered my request, had a tech out the same day. James came by with a wonderful attitude and fixed my sink in a fast, efficient, professional manner. It exceeded my expectations! The price was very reasonable for an emergency situation. I highly recommend this company and their service! Thank you!

It wouldn't be fair to give this company 0 or 1 Star since its not based on any plumbing work of any kind. It's based on the way the driver of a truck with your company's name on the side of it, poorly represents your company.
Driving down I59 North and then East on Northpark into Kingwood, your truck drove like he was maniac.
Just a tip, if you're driving a company vehicle fast & furious, it reflects poorly on the company.

The owner is a very nice man (Jerry David). They take care of business and are fair. They are a little more pricey than some other companies but when it comes to plumbing you really can't take chances. Better to get it done right than spend so much fixing mistakes. In all honestly you can't go wrong with this company. I have so much respect for them. And I don't say this lightly. I've had bad experiences with handy men and other companies who I won't take the time to badmouth.

We used them for a commercial repair. They messed up more than they fixed and when asked to take responsibility for their mistake they wanted to charge us more. Eventually had to call another plumber to fix what they broke!

I had a poor experience using this business to fix my hot water heater in July and August 2022.
We have a fairly new and common Noritz tankless hot water heater which stopped working in mid-July.
I went with the fix proposed by them, spent over $1,000 doing so. They have been out 5 times since(hot water has been intermittently on and off since then), a few different technicians- and no one has been able to figure out why their repair can't fix the problem.
The office manager at TQP also has been hard to get a hold of and doesn't always return calls.
Finally I called another company this week.
Their technician figured out the problem within an hour or so - it was a faulty valve not the sensor they replaced. Furthermore, the other company arranged to get my parts replaced under the warranty, which TQP didn't tell me was at least an option. I will not be using them again.

If I could use zero stars I would, absolutely DO NOT USE.
First- they came out to inspect everything a few weeks ago and tried to convince me I needed to replace my garbage disposal ( a year old) for $900....
Last week- our AC broke (it was running just not cooling) the man who came out was incredibly rude. Walked outside looked at it and said he Refuses to touch it and offered me a $10k quote to just fix the capictator and coil (our unit is not even a YEAR old) so then continued to tell me that we should replace everything for $20k.... we had another company come out and replaced it for $2k it was ALL UNDER WARRANTY still and they never even attempted to check.
They have charged THOUSANDS of dollars for literally things that can be done for $50-$100. It's a total scam and they insult you the entire time they are there. Take your money and business elsewhere.
