I called First Aid Plumbing to inspect an issue I found with water coming back up through the toilet when a load of laundry is run through my washer.

Alex responded to me promptly, set an appointment and followed up in the time we agreed on.
The inspection of the problem went well, and he explained what we might expect to see during the inspection, as well as what the work required might be.
Unfortunately, we had a miscommunication during the inspection followup; however, despite this being a situation that might have easily turned sour, Alex maintained a high level of professionalism and understanding.

We  were able to resolve the issue satisfactorily due to Alex and First Aid Plumbing's genuine desire to maintain good customer relationships; this goes a long way in giving one a sense of trust in the job they perform.

They did a same-day water heater replacement at our house. Fast, courteous, and fair pricing.

Alex and his guys are very professional, honest and show up on time. They are very knowledgable. I have had them replace a faucet, an outdoor faucet and the cut off valves under the sink. I have used them several times and will continue to use them for upcoming work.

Alex did a professional grade job re-routing my pex repiping job that another plumbing company did a terrible job installing. He re-routed the pipes so they were not all stacked on top of each other preventing insulating them with blown.
He also removed the substandard pipe insulating sleeves and replaced with the recommended thicker sleeves and made sure to tape everything up so no openings for cold air to get in. Superior job and finished very quickly.

He also custom installed a water pressure pump system including multiple pressure regulators and piped my water filtration system's stainless overflow pans to outside. Our water pressure is now plentiful.He also re-installed two high-pressure toilets that another plumbers apprentice did a poor job on. No more rockin' on the Kohlers

Used them again to install our new toilet and replace the outdoor faucet. They had some free time Saturday morning and he called me if they can swing by if we're available. Luckily, we're just home so they got here 15 after he called. I'm so glad I didn't have to wait til Monday to get in their schedule!

Another superb job! I love that they find ways to help us save by being up front about the job we're asking them to do.

Alex actually fixed the leak on our outdoor faucet. He told us how much it would cost if we decide to replace it. We didn't have to replace it but I knew it's only gonna to be matter of time before it leaks again. So, we decided to go ahead and replace it.

We also had a busted outdoor pipe (from the previous freeze) but this pipe is only for our sprinkler system (that we never use anymore). He told us our options and how much it would cost; or just leave it be since we don't use it anyway. We decided to leave it and tend to it later when we're about to sell the house.

The Facts: you came out to my Business. You charged me $425 just to tell me it would cost $7,800 to drill threw the floor & clean out the Drains.
I then called Affordable Plumbing. They came out immediately, cleaned the pipes out ( no cutting up my floor) for $ 1,700. JUST SAYING......

Able to respond on time, did great work, very professional and know the code well. Able to repair work just completed by another company that didn't install by codes.

I'll call them the next time I have plumbing work.

Second time using First Aid Plumbing. First was to install a new kitchen faucet and today was for emergency bathtub faucet spout and draining issues with bathroom sink.

I renovate for a living. I wish Alex was in Saint Petersburg. I can not tell you how difficult it is to find a reliable, honest, and knowledgeable plumber.

I first called First Aid Plumbing on Tuesday bc my granddaughter put toilet paper down my shower drain & it was backing up shower & toilet.  Came out the same day and fixed it right away.  Today, my shower handle (cartridge)  decided to play out & couldn't turn water on & it was my only full bathroom.  I didn't even call until after 12:00 and he still got to me the same day.   Alex is very professional & nice.  Great service.  He is my go to plumber that's for sure!!

My sink had been clogged for a while and we tried everything to get it unclogged. I found this business on Yelp and saw the great reviews so I decided to give them a call. Darrell and Alex came out THE SAME DAY that I called and fixed my sink. My dad asked them to do work on the kitchen sink too even though they were done for the day. They even went to the store for a part that was needed for the new faucet. They did an amazing job! I definitely recommend using First Aid Plumbing.

This review is for services that were completed on 10/07/2022.  First Aid Plumbing fell in the middle of the pack in terms of pricing, which seemed competitive to a person that is no expert on plumbing and plumbing prices.  I received some quotes that were lower and some that were exponentially higher.  I've learned that a lower price is not necessarily better.  I respect Alex's transparency, even when it was difficult for me to be fully knowledgeable and transparent about the issue at hand.  The work actually ended up being deeper in some sections than anticipated (as prefaced by Alex) and I was not charged extra for the additional digging and work for related repairs.  Out of all the quotes and discussions I had regarding cause(s) of the breakage in the sewer line, Alex was the most transparent and showed me the issue on the camera and physically (when the pipe was unearthed).  Another outlet was built out for potential future sewer line cleanouts.  I don't know if anything can be done to position this access point towards the back of the yard (versus a higher traffic area) but this is the only change I would have wished for from the service.  It looked like teacher (Alex) and apprentice (Rogino) worked well and respectfully together and that makes for a winning team that ultimately supports and respects customers similarly.  It also makes for fast and efficient service.  Thank you for mending our (spot replacement) sewer line and preventing the fourth back-up in the house in less than three months.  Now we can just focus on living in the house instead of bleaching it out every two weeks to a month.  Lastly, from a legal and administrative standpoint, thank you for providing traceable information via public records (i.e secretary of state and MLP# and how to look it up).  Appreciate some of the honest perspectives and things to look for on warranties.

Quick response, worked around my schedule and were up front about costs from the start of the conversation.  Explained the whole process as he was fixing the issue and answered all my questions.  Would definitely recommend!

I've used Alex for multiple jobs at my business.  He has always been very competitively priced and done a great job- he finishes everything out and cleans up very well. I've had plumbers in the past who don't caulk or seal up work under the sink and he does. I had a recurring problem at my house where we only had hot water-no cold.  I've had multiple plumbers out.  One told me it was my shower valve leaking and I paid to replace it, but problem wasn't fixed.  Alex fixed it in one try, the hot water tank was installed incorrectly.

I had over 250 ft of drainage/sewer line replaced and several cast iron piping pieces replaced from under the house.  Alex kept us in the loop at all times, very respectful, and a crew of hardworking individuals.

my home, which I really appreciated!

Alex and Oscar were amazing to work with. Alex responded quickly to my messages and provided a quote for exactly what I needed (replacing an old hot water tank with a new tankless heater). Once I gave the green light, they started a few days later. They showed up bright and early with masks on and protected our floor with some drop cloths as they hauled the old water tank out. They worked efficiently and had everything done earlier than expected. They also left everything clean and spotless. In fact, our exterminator came by after and was so impressed with their work he asked for our plumber's number. I highly, highly recommend Alex and the guys at First Aid Plumbing.

Had a great experience with Alex and First Aid Plumbing.  Checked around for plumbers to do a hydrostatic test and Alex was the first to respond.  He was very thorough in explaining the work, offered a couple options to do the test, and quoted a fair price.  Once we agreed to go ahead, he kept me updated with text and photos of the work in progress and he got the job done quickly that same day.  The hydrostatic test is not something that every plumber can do (one other plumber couldn't do it and another didn't respond and a third was wishy washy about it) so I felt Alex was one of the more experienced plumbers in the area.  I'll definitely use Alex again and highly recommend First Aid Plumbing.

Alex is polite, respectful, responsive, knowledgeable, neat and thorough. He exceeded my expectations all around.

I had an internal a/c piping to dual sink connection that clogged, made worse by a builder H/A workaround. Just a bit beyond my experience to solve quickly or easily. He came within 30-45 minutes from our first conversation, changed both under sink p traps, added an attic clean out point and had things going again in under a couple hours. He then explained everything and made further suggestions to prevent future issues. His cost was not unreasonable at all. Now on my go to list.

Alex, Sebastian, and their team were WONDERFUL! What we thought was a simple leaky toilet turned into a piping nightmare. Luckily First Aid Plumbing took care of everything, explained the problem and how they would fix it, and made sure we were in the know of everything going on!! My husband and I just bought a new house and while walking the dog, I noticed the outside faucet was leaking at a steady rate. We are new to the area and I found Alex and First Aid Plumbing through yelp. I called a bit panicked he was able to get here within a couple of hours. He was wearing a mask. He assessed the issue and briefed me on the plan. I also asked him to look at a couple of other things and give me a future estimate on work we were planning on doing in the near future. He gave me an estimate on the leak, which was the priority and the future items at the same time. I felt he He repaired the leak, showed me the rusted out old pipe and also the wall from outside to in, before he closed everything up and resealed and insulated the fixture. I was very impressed with his professionalism, as well as his respectful manner. I see why First Aid has a 5 star rating and I'm planning on using them again for all of our future projects.

Had 2 pipes burst during the Arctic Storm.  Thankfully I was able to book Alex before he got bombarded with other customers.  

Alex was courteous, professional, and efficient.  He fixed both pipes within an hour, and he was still taking calls during the work because so many people also had burst pipes and were without running water.  His rates are very competitive also.

These guys are great! I needed to install a gas tankless water heater and a gas line to the kitchen in a house we just purchased. We had everything scheduled to start the work, but then the Artic freeze hit the Houston area. With emergency calls and plumbing supplies in high demand, we had to postpone the installation. Alex and Sebastian were in constant contact with me the whole time with updates as to when they could do the work. They were able to get the supplies and had all the work done in one day! The job was very clean and professional and now we can enjoy our new gas stove and tankless water heater! Upfront quotes, honesty, and very competitive pricing is what you get from these guys! A++ all around!

Alex is really responsive and very fair. We just moved into our house in March and he came out for the first home inspection and gave us the report, and since then has been out here 2-3 times helping us with various problems. His pricing is fair and he only charges a nominal trip fee if you don't get anything done when he comes out. He won't oversell you. And he's a straight shooter as far as what is wrong with your plumbing systems. Highly recommend!

Alex did a fairly large plumbing job for me. I had installed a potable water tank for a new water system at my location and he plumbed the tank to the pump through the filters and the UV sterilizer with pex pipe and made connections to my existing copper piping. Very nice young man I am very helpful also. Pricing was reasonable.

I reached out to him and he was calm and collected and offered to come out the next day. He came, saw and conquered! My parents home had a broken pipe that was releasing sewage under there house. I'n addition the broken pipe allowed sewer gases to pure out into the open for a terrible smell. We contacted Alex and explained the issue and we quickly set up an appointment for the next day. He arrived on time and as expected. Our house flooded on Thanksgiving Day from a pipe leak that started in the bathroom. In a panic, the situation was made worse when my husband overturned the shut off valve and broke it. Way to go, Babe! Sigh. It was devastating! Being the daughter of a plumber, I've never needed a house call... but with my Dad living out of state, we had to find a good plumber quick!

5 star customer experience. My kitchen sink began leaking late in the evening. After doing a quick yelp search I came across First Aid Plumbing. Since it was after normal business hours, I was initially concerned that my request for service would not be received until the following morning. However, Alex replied within 10 minutes and following a few messages I had an appointment schedule for the next day. The next day Alex checked in frequently via text to provide an ETA and within an hour the leak was fixed. I would definitely use First Aid Plumbing again and would recommend them to others.

Alex was recommended to me by my AC Installation / Repair company. They had recently replaced an older unit and I needed some plumbing work to bring things into the modern era. Alex got back to me quickly and turned the repair around in a day. I got a good vibe from him during our initial consultation. He is responsive and was able to work around my work schedule, and like I indicated in my title, I would feel completely comfortable having my mom give him a call for any of her plumbing needs. It is sooooo nice to have a plumber I feel I can trust in Houston!

I don't normally leave reviews unless the service was horrible or fantastic, in this case, these guys were really fantastic. I had a leak to my main shut-off valve and Sebastian came out to assess the problem on the same day and fixed by the next day. After replacing the valve, we discovered the burner went out in the water tank. He replaced that the following day. Each issue was quickly assessed and repaired with all costs quoted upfront. Throughout the repairs, he explained what he was doing and answered all of my questions. He was always punctual to appointments, stayed as long as he needed to complete a quality job and kept my house clean the entire time. Sebastian even followed up afterwards to check that the water was running okay. Another thing that I appreciate is that they always answer your call the first time. Alex, the owner who booked my original reservation, even took the call on his birthday! The whole experience feels very genuine and they take a lot of pride in helping people, it's more than just a job for them. I honestly can't say enough great things about their professionalism, responsiveness and quality workmanship. They will definitely be my go-to plumbing team in the future!

After reading the reviews I decided to call First Aid Plumbing.  Alex was very professional and came out to the house immediately.  My family and I felt very comfortable with him and hired him to do the work on my dad's house asap.  Alex and his crew did a fantastic job and didn't take long to finish the work.  They had to dig and get dirty clearing out standing water on the side and under the house to get to the rusted and clogged pipes.  My dad's toilet was filling up and would take forever to go down,  he had no water pressure nor hot water in the kitchen sink and a leak under the bathroom sink.  Alex is truly a blessing and we can't give him enough thanks for getting my dad's plumbing back in working order.

Alex did a great job fixing the leak in one of our bedrooms. He was able to come after 5 PM, which I appreciated.

Stellar. Responded quickly to my quote request with a competitive rate. Showed up on the early side of the job window, same day as the quote request mind you. Very professional and quick as well. He not only unclogged the sink but showed me where it may have gotten wet, AKA where I should look for mold potentially. He dried the area and cleaned up everything, super mindful with padding to make sure not to damage the floor. He also looked into our toilet after the fact because it was running odd and fixed that free of charge. This will be my first call next time I have any issues.

We've been having trouble with our a/c drainage and Alex was a big help. On Sunday we had plumbing issues and called first aid plumbing and got a great response and  fast service. Alex Vieita was the master plumber that showed up and he was super professional and friendly. It's hard to find people good honest people these days, Alex is definitely one of them. We had a number of plumbing issues that needed to be fixed. I found Alex through Nextdoor.com ~ our community blog site. He wrote up an estimate on 2/19/18 and we made the appointment only two days later, 02/21/18 ~ none were emergencies or I'm sure he would have adjusted his schedule to accommodate us. He called before coming, he was punctual, professional and explained exactly what the problems were and what needed to be done. He resolved one fix in particular on a shower knob cartridge that had broken off internally and found a way to remove it which would have been very costly & extensive otherwise.

He used his ingenuity, experience and expertise to resolve all our plumbing issues ~ and his prices are very reasonable by comparison. He is, also, up on all the newest parts and equipment ~ and he's neat!

The owner of First Aid plumbing is amazing!  He's helped me out twice without me needing to be there by sending detailed shots of the issue, explanation of the problem(s) and multiple options to repair with quotes attached. After doing everything I could to fix a clog, I put a service request out on yelp. Alex was the first to respond and answered all of my questions. The kitchen sink clogged all of a sudden late in the evening, and we needed to have a working sink since we have a little one at home.  We called 3 different plumbers that evening and Alex responded immediately and told me he could come that same night.  He gave an ETA and texted 30min prior to arrival.  Once here, I showed him the problem and he got to work.  On his first attempt at snaking the line, the sink didn't completely clear, so he did it one more time.  He was very professional, kept the work area clean throughout, and answered all the questions I had.  For any plumbing emergencies, I would highly recommend giving Alex a call.

Alex was quick and professional. He fixed my kitchen sink and I would definitely recommend him for fixing plumbing systems

After being out of town for the weekend, I came home to a stream underneath my house. Alex was a lifesaver. I called five different plumbers--no one was available to fix the leak except Alex. He was the only plumber who stayed in contact throughout the day and fixed the issue the same day as my call. And he was honest. Two different plumbers swore I needed to replace all my pipes. Alex pinpointed the issue, showed me the problem and fixed it. I've found my go-to plumber.

Our hot water heater stopped working after we came back from a vacation in late June.  We called First Aid Plumbing and Alex came out to the house quickly. He seemed very polite and wore shoe cover in the house. He lit the two pilots and fixed the water heater. But after his work, one of our shower stopped working. He said we need to hire a tile guy to make the tile opening bigger. We finally asked general contractor to come out. The contractor didn't break any tile, as he found out the hot water valve behind the tile opening was somehow turned off by someone.  I am happy we didn't need to repair the shower, but couldn't help wondering who turned this valve off.  It can be reached only after you took the shower apart. Our house is fairly new and we never worked on this shower before.  In addition ,I feel Alex was very polite, but not very problem focused. He charged $40 for the trip fee, and $198 to light the two pilots. He also charged $424 for installing two valves on cold side of the heater, and one temperature valve. When I think back, I don't think it was necessary to add/change those valves.
