Long story short, I'd been in plumbing hell for months, mainly due to toilets clogging. Ended up being roots in drain that TJ scoped out and took care of. Erica was super professional, friendly and sympathetic when I made appointment. TJ was able to get out the next day. Hopefully, no more overflow surprises. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the price since toilet had to be pulled, camera used to find clog and then main drain cleaned out, eliminating most of the root issue. I had steamed myself for higher price.

Thanks Wedgeworth. Will call you when it's time to replumb the dang galvanized piping.

Rex and his team wrecked the tile in my bath.

I bought a midcentury house and needed the galvanized pipes in the attic replaced with PEX. Wedgeworth informed me I would need to buy a new water heater, and new shower heads/handles as they couldn't hook up the original vintage handles to the new system.

To change out the bath taps, they busted a huge hole in the tile and left sizeable gaps covered in some sort of grout/caulk the tile should be instead of replacing or repairing the tile. It looks awful.

Most of the frustrations of this experience have faded into the past but I'm still steaming about how I paid them thousands of dollars to ruin my house.

They of course did a pretty good job. I had them install our water conditioner for us. The actual water conditioner was loose and leaked when they were done setting it up and they didn't really bother to fix it so they unhooked it and told me to call them back when I got it figured out. When I called them back I suggested to just lay it on the floor to get a better grip of the bottom in order to tighten it which worked.

I called them to replace a 12 foot section of pipe in my attic that had a slow leak. They quoted me over $1000 to do the job. The company I ended up using charged me $300 and it took them 90 minutes to do the work. EDITED to respond to the owner: Sean, respectfully, your team lied to you. Your tech walked in with his iPad, in sales mode from the beginning, and offered to give me a quote for a whole-home replacement (which he never did, and in any event would be more than $10,000). It was clear that the $1000+ quote was only for the 12 foot pipe that was actively leaking and two t-joints. There was no other repair option. Your guy tried to overcharge me and I told him to get out of my house. As he was walking out, I told him that this was a $450 job and he told me that I was wrong. Turns out I was too high -- it was a $300 job.

i've gone through at least 3 plumbers this year, it's not been great. i'll keep this short and sweet by saying that wedgeworth showed up when they said they would, had an accurate quote for work, completed the work in a professional fashion, kept my house as clean as possible, and made sure the work was completed without leaks. the owner himself showed up (twice!) to make sure things were going alright. this is head and shoulders ahead of any plumber i've dealt with this year. i highly recommend them to anyone who may be using them for personal or rental properties. they're my go-to now.

We had toilet issues, so we contacted Wedgeworth Plumbing. From the beginning, Dee was amazing and easy to work with. He explained everything in a way I could understand. He also didn't mind all my questions, which can be a lot. He communicated throughout the whole process and it is much appreciated. If you're looking for a good plumber for those pesky home repairs, you can feel very comfortable with Wedgeworth Plumbing. We had an issue that required attention towards the end of the day. The people here were great. They answered the phone with a great attitude and willingness to help. They didn't wait to schedule for another day. They had a proactive approach to helping a customer in need. One of their guys, Donnie, came as soon as he finished with another client. Their communication was good and Donnie was punctual. He was rock solid. He was able to fix our problem in a very timely fashion. He had all the parts, tools, helpful, made sure the problem was fixed to our satisfaction and was clean. You can't go wrong with these guys.

My company concierge service found Wedgeworth for me and verified they could do the service I needed. I booked an appointment over a week ago with them from 2-4 pm today. I get called at 5 pm they are 20 minutes away. 45 minutes later, they finally show up when it's dinner time and I am trying to get my 3 young children to sit and eat. Then I get a quote 6x more than I have been quoted for the same service.

Needless to say, they won't be earning by business and will be removed from my company's concierge service.

I was in need of a replacement toilet so I checked Yelp for some suggestions on a good plumber to do the job. I was impressed by the positive comments about Wedgeworth Plumbing so I filled out the Yelp form to request a quote. (Note: If you want to get a quote, don't bother with the Yelp form. Just pick up the phone and call them directly! All the Yelp form does is add a delay in response time!)

Within a couple of days I had a plumber (and his apprentice) at my home to check out what I needed. They gave me a reasonable price estimate and let me know there might be additional cost if the flange under the toilet needed repair or replacement. Because their quoted price was reasonable I decided to go ahead with them for the work.

They were able to schedule the work quickly and the plumber came back, new toilet in hand, and did a quality job! The flange was in good shape so I avoided the extra expense I had been warned about.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the work Wedgeworth did for me, and I'll be calling them again the next time I need a plumber.

I had a water leak underground right outside the house where the pipe leads inside. My trusty handyman I've used for years had too many jobs, so I had to call someone else. My brother used Wedgeworth before, and he was pleased with the quality of their work. So, I scheduled an appointment with them. Two guys (James and another guy) came out a week later. It was a total joke. They walked back and forth poking here and there, and about 20 minutes later, they told me it's not the plumbing problem, but it was the sprinkler system leaking somewhere. And they don't do sprinkler system. Charged me $192 just to replace a spigot.

So, I took their words for it and scheduled a sprinkler system guy visit. Luckily, my handyman was finally available and came by. He dug just a little down, which the Wedgeworth guys never bothered to do, and guess what? It had nothing to do with the sprinkler system. It was the main pipe leading from outside into the house that was oozing water. The sprinkler system appointment was cancelled, and now my handyman guy is going to fix this. So, the incompetence of these Wedgeworth guys really ticked me off. Highly NOT recommended!

I am so happy with the experience I had with this Company I had to share.
I had the most awful smell in my downstairs bathroom. So bad even with the door closed it smelled.
Had one company come out and wanted to pull the toilet up and replace the wax seal and do some sort of smoke test. Their estimate was $971.
I called Wedgeworth Plumber for a second opinion because of there good reviews. They sent a gentleman named Damondrick Bennett. The problem was caused by a rubber accordion style pipe connected to the p-trap. He poured Bleach and hot water down the drain and the smell is gone. He said soap scum built up in that kind of pipe causing that awful smell. Charged $49.00 I highly recommend this company and that Plumber saved us a lot of money.

Wedgeworth Plumbing were great! I called them today after another plumber bailed and didn't show up. Rex and Stephen (I think) came out within a couple hours, immediately diagnosed the issue, and provided a fair quote. They were also very honest and didn't try to upsell me on extras that weren't necessary.

They immediately began the work during that same visit, and had the leak repaired within a couple hours. They were both very professional and clean. The part and install even come with a 25 month warranty!

I definitely recommend Wedgeworth and will use them in the future.

I saw decent reviews so called to get pricing for installing faucet/drain/p-trap in a new sink plus seating a new toilet. Was told there's a $49 charge to send plumber to make an estimate. No thanks! I'm not interested in paying just for the estimate even if they apply it toward the service cost if you decide to use them. The whole point of getting estimates to the consider the company's cost before agreeing to their services.

They were extremely professional, knowledgeable and really just did a great job. When I got the bill, I was actually surprised how reasonable it was. I am the type of person to really never write reviews unless someone goes totally above and beyond awesome or is just terrible and actively tries not to do the right thing. My experience with Wedgeworth Plumbing was definitely the latter. Wedgeworth really screwed us and made life terrible for a couple days, and when given the opportunity to help make it right decided not to. It was so bad that my wife actually convinced me to write a review just so others will avoid them and have a better day because of it.

We had a faucet leak in our condo, and so decided to have 2 faucets and a bathtub spout replaced. We decided to schedule an appointment with Wedgeworth since the Yelp reviews seemed great (now I really cannot believe these other reviews). Rex came out as scheduled. After looking at everything, he told us he could make the fixes and we even signed a form to that extent. The estimated price was way more than I expected and than I had paid for similar services in the past, but he was out there and we figured best to just get it done.

After hearing some leaking and spraying noises, he told us that he in fact couldn't fix the leaking faucet. We were bummed to hear this, but decided best to get everything else done and then find someone else to do the faucet the next day.

He then went to install the matching bathroom faucet and shower hardware. Upon removing the old shower hardware, he broke the old hardware (the plastic inside cracked and fell off). Then, only after removing the old hardware and while doing so breaking it, he determined he could not install the new hardware due to a fit issue. We asked him if we could still use the shower and he said he would not recommend it. We have a 1 bedroom 1 bath condo, and when we asked him what he recommended to do, he said wow, this is your only bathroom? Uh, sorry. My wife and I couldn't believe it. He then charged us the full fee for the one thing he did complete, the bathroom faucet which took all of 20 minutes: $210. I paid it just to get this guy out of our house.

We ended up having to call another plumber who was able to fix everything and more for WAY better value.

UPDATE: Sean, who runs the company, quickly reached out to make the situation right after I posted the review. I only called him back after a week+ due to the holidays, but he immediately picked up and made time to speak. He seemed to really want to do the right thing and make the situation right (not just appease me to correct my review). While it doesn't fix the issues we experienced, I can say that he did whatever he could, including offering a partial refund of what was charged and that certainly does count for something. Updating to 2 stars/updating review and letting it be known that the manager really does care and will take responsibility and offer a gesture if you have a bad experience.

Hmmmm 4.5 star average rating with over 100 reviews and the majority are from people who have written less than 10 reviews. Yeah I was kind of skeptical about hiring Wedgeworth Plumbing but I'm so happy I did.

I called in Friday morning about a water leak at my grandmother's home and the lady who set my appointment informed me about the lack of availability until Monday due to one of the plumbers being out. Since the issue was not major, I agreed to the Monday service appointment. Immediately I was sent a confirmation email with an estimated arrival time. On Monday I received a call 20 minutes prior to the estimated arrival time to confirm the plumbers were en-route to my grandmothers home. Once the plumbers arrived I was given an exact cost for the repair which was much lower than I thought (less than $200) and in less than an hour the repairs were complete.

Called to make sure they worked in buildings over 4 stories...first plumber showed up an hour late only to inform me that they didn't work in 6 story buildings. Erica scheduled my appointment for the next day first thing. Very professional and pleasant.

Got the heads up call about twenty minutes before Rex arrived. He was on time and ready to work. Reviewed all the issues that needed to be addressed, gave me a quote on the spot and proceeded to tackle the job. Installed a new garbage disposal, removed a non-functioning instant water heater, fixed a broken bathroom sink faucet and replaced a dripping tub valve. He was courteous, neat and made sure all worked before he wrapped up.

I highly recommend Wedgeworth Plumbing! Rex made sure everything was cleaned up and I was satisfied with the job. Will use these guys again! Thanks!

Yelper's come through again. We needed a total house repipe. Our water pressure was abysmal. The hot water tap was rusty and we started having pin hole leaks. After researching what I should expect from a total repipe, I contacted Wedgeworth through Yelp and requested a bid. Within an hour I had a response explaining they could do a rough estimate based on my detailed RFP or have an expert plumber come to the house for a solid bid. (I should mention, I contacted 2 other plumbers through Yelp. Neither has yet to respond.) I chose the solid bid and called the office for an appointment.

Damondrick showed up at the appointed time and got busy assessing our situation. After about an hour we settled on a price (I elected to remove a couple of the bid requested to lower the total cost).

Luckily, I was headed to Europe for 2 weeks so I returned home to, what I can only describe as, a brand new house. Water pressure returned, and clean, clear water runs through the hot water tap. And best of all, no more leaks.

Wedgeworth was honest, reliable and reasonably priced. They weren't the cheapest of the bids I got, but their professionalism, and attention to detail won the day. I even asked them to return to replace our kitchen faucet.

In December 2019, I called Wedgeworth for a water pressure problem. James believed the problem was with the water meter and recommended I call the city to replace the meter. I appreciate that he tried to save me money by blaming the meter before suggesting a plumbing repair, however I spent over two months dealing with the City about changing the meter. Meanwhile, other plumbers said the pipe riser leading to the house needed to be replaced. In the middle of arguing with the City about the meter, I asked James to replace the pipe riser. This immediately restored my water pressure. I initially posted a 5 star review for this job, mainly because James asked me to post a review, and he seems sincere and honest and ultimately did a good job replacing the pipe and the main shutoff valve.
Then, this January I called Wedgeworth about leaky faucets in my shower. It wasn't a particularly bad leak, but the tile floor was constantly damp, making the grout mildew. James replaced both faucets without going into the access panel. From the beginning, the faucets were extremely stiff, my needing both hands to turn them on and off. I assumed they would loosen after they'd been used, but that didn't happen. Then, I noticed the shower floor was still damp, and after a couple months, the leak became worse, so I called Wedgeworth and they sent James to assess the problem. He told me they would need to replace the separate hot and cold faucets with a single faucet unit, and that would cost about $700. When I asked if the $272 I already paid could be applied toward that job, he said they could discount it by 5%, but he would need to ask his boss if they could give a larger discount and he would get back to me in a day or two. When I didn't hear from James, I phoned the office and left a message for Sean (the owner), to call me because I had a question. Sean didn't return my call, so after a week I sent him an email asking for his opinion on the faucet problem. He never did get in touch with me, so I called a couple other plumbers as well as my handyman for their opinions. They all agreed that changing the faucets, without also changing the compatible valves, wouldn't fix the problem. My 70 year old handyman was confident he could do it, so he replaced the faucets and valves with Pfister hardware, which carries a lifetime warranty. Now, though I needed to pay twice for the same job, I finally have a dry shower floor and new faucets which work perfectly. Needless to say, I'll never call Wedgeworth Plumbing again.

Needed a wide variety of misc plumbing fixes in our new house and some advising on upgrades we plan to do in the winter. Wedgeworth responded super fast after I used Yelp's contact form and were able to come out during a time that worked great for us.

The technician, Damondrick, was on time, professional, and knowledgeable with his fixes and assessments. The price was WAY lower than I thought it would be, I mean, like way lower. Granted my issues weren't major, however, i had expected to and would have paid more for such professional service.

Thanks a bunch and we'll see you in the winter for all of our plumbing upgrades.

Called them from Angies list where they were one of the top rated plumbing companies. They had their service person James out the next day and he gave me an estimate for the work and I agreed to it. He came back with a helper the next morning and they proceeded to excavate in order to repair my water leak. The work took half a day and was repaired so that water was no longer flowing into the street. The actual job came in actually lower than their estimate and the work was explained and performed to solve my problem.

I particularly like the honesty and fairness this technician used. James was straight forward about what needed to happen and he addressed some other issues I have for a future repair. I have had more expensive plumbers do an adequate job but Wedgeworth charged a reasonable price and did the work that needed to be done in an efficient manner. I would use their service again without hesitation.

These guys are awesome. I used the Yelp quote request and they responded quickly with excellent (free!) advice that I contact the city first to see if it might actually be their responsibility. Even though I had already done that, they were the first and only company to suggest that. Huge points towards integrity, in my opinion. They were transparent about their estimate policy, and were able to get me on the schedule promptly. The company dispatch called me 30 minutes before the tech arrived, and the tech was very knowledgeable about the issue I was facing. This company quoted a fair price for the work to be done, and completed the repair promptly. I asked that pictures be taken of the (underground) repair, and they obliged. If I ever need a plumber again, these guys will be the first company I call!

Discovered at 10:30pm that we had a blocked drain line effecting all the bathrooms in our house. Called Wedgeworth at 9am the next morning (a Saturday) and they tech, Sean, was at my house by 11:30am. I explained the situation and showed him where the clean outs were. He asked some questions and then said based on what I told him, he could clean out the drain lines for $199 and if it did not work the fee for the attempt would be $100. I said great and he got to work. 2 hours later, drain line was cleared and all was good. He was very personable and friendly and we had a fun chat while he worked. He also put a scope done the line to show me what was probably causing the issues which was trees pushing up on the line creating a low spot where water and debris was collecting. Overall very happy with Wedgeworth and Sean in particular.

Words cannot describe how worried I was after having another plumber look at the problem. Wedgeworth came in without a blink of an eye and resolved the problem with a really reasonable price.

The guys were friendly and efficient. I really don't have anything negative to say. The plumber that came to my house was super friendly and pretty funny. That helped break the tension of an expected large bill.

I highly recommend asking for Damondrick. He was awesome and very knowledgable.

3X more expensive than any other company I received a quote from! Other companies were looking to charge approximately $600 to replace my bathtub with a new whirlpool tub, but Wedgeworth quoted me $3000!! The overall quote for my project came out to $9000 to replace 3 toilets, replace the tub, replace a tub with a shower pan, and install a water heater. The company I ended up going with is charging me $3100.
Also they came out to the house in order to give us a quote and said we would receive an emailed quote in the next couple of days. It took me calling numerous times and a couple of weeks for them to finally send a quote. Even then the quote looked like it was just slapped together in a couple minutes. It's like they forgot about us.
Way too expensive to be given that sort of treatment.

Recently replaced a water heater. I had old water heater gone. New water heater in place, up two flights of stairs. I also had all the connections necessary to connect, copper connectors, and other necessary parts. I called Wedgeworth to get a quote on simply connecting the water heater. The insurance company oddly enough asked that a qualified plumber make the hook-up. I simply needed the lines connected. I explained this to Wedgeworth and said time was not a factor, just when they had someone nearby.

The price Wedgeworth quoted me for this 15 or 20-minute job was jaw- dropping stunning. I was disappointed as they came well recommended.

Called another company and they were able to respond the same day, they finished so fast they asked if there was anything else. Well, I needed to install a new disposal I had purchased but procrastinated on completing. These guys jumped in and finished that job in under 15 minutes. They almost waived the charge but I insisted, It too was minimal. Over 90 days later I am swimming in hot water and disposing of garbage at will. Wedgeworth, you missed a good deal. I have referred the other company to 15 friends completing plumbing after HARVEY. All are happy with that result.

Friendly, professional service at a competitive price. When I requested a quote I got a call a day later from the owner, Sean, who walked me through what to expect and gave me some general indicative pricing and which we then followed up with a formal quote on adding a gas line. Damondrick and TJ were friendly and explained all steps they were taking. They didn't mind my 2.5 yr old son spectating and he was sad to see them go. Had a gas line installed to a stove and they took precautions including a leak test before and after, were consideration of wall placement and went to every effort to avoid any unnecessary damage. These guys are very professional, and they have great customer service. I had a leaking issue with my toilet. They came in and tried to fix the issue, but the issue came back again in six months. I called again, and their customer service rep instantly located the notes from their system. They sent the plumbers to my house again to take a look. They admitted that the 1st repair was not good enough to fix the issue. They fixed it right away and did not charge anything for this visit. I will recommend this company to people who have plumbing issue in your house or apartment.

On 05/01/2019 Damondrick and TJ came over my mother's house to fix kitchen sink drainage issue, replace bathroom faucet and garbage disposal. They were professional and very friendly. We asked for senior discount for my 90 years old mother, but they did not offer this to her. The price was not cheap, but they did a good job.

I had called November 6th and was able to book an appointment for an estimate on November 8th. Rex came to the house ahead of time, and I received a call from Denise informing me that he was heading there early and if I was available, which was great! He did a detailed walk through of the home which needed gas line repair, valve replacement, replaced PVC vent that had nails in it, and angle stops. He sent me a quote before he even left the residence and asked me if I had any other questions. Since we are hurricane victims that had to evacuate, I stressed I needed someone to come within the time frame to continue with rebuild on my house and also complete work while I was at the residence (we had to evacuate to another city). Denise was kind enough to reschedule Rex and Brian to come out for the repairs on the following Saturday, a day which is dedicated to emergent cases only. Rex & Brian came out early afternoon and worked well into the evening. We also had an electrician team working to replace outlets and switches so the main power was shut off and the guys didn't even complain about the circumstances or working in the dark. Rex & Brian worked diligently, and kept spirits high for me even throughout this stressful situation. I cannot stress how much I appreciate this company and how they went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, without price gauging after assessing a flooded home. Would definitely recommend to everyone! They have set pricing and do not bill additional hours and there are no hidden costs or surprises.

My advice would be to keep retaining good employees with great work ethic like Rex & Brian and keep up with the excellent service, and you will have a customer for life!

Service was prompt (the man came within two hours), but the plumber lacked the knowledge necessary to effectively repair our water heater. Charged us $60 more than quoted over the phone and we will now have to call a more experienced plumber and/or electrician.

Called Wedgeworth at 5:00 pm, and they were here at 8:00 am the next day! Rex was super professional, efficient, and got the job done in under an hour. He reviewed the pricing with me just prior to the job, I agreed, and it was exactly what he charged, so no surprises. Came with a 120-day warranty, which I thought was very fair. While I hope to not need a plumber anytime soon, I know it's a possibility, so I'm bookmarking Wedgeworth for future use!

Note: I called a different plumber first, who needed to first send an estimator out, who would give me a quote, and then if I agreed, an actual plumber would come out on a different appointment. Um, who has that kind of time? I have a bathroom sink clog NOW, it's a pretty simple thing, gotta be able to brush my teeth, ya know? I asked if they could just send a plumber out, who could tell me how much, and they said no. So I called Wedgeworth, and they did exactly that: Rex showed me his price from his book, I said sure, and he did it. Simple, efficient, and I can brush my teeth, lol.

The pricing for the amount of work here is ridiculous. I had a guy come check the problem for my bath tub because it was leaking. He charge us 100 dollars to caulk gun and tighten up a screw, he did not notify before doing it because if he would've told me he was charging 100 I would've done it myself. He did not discuss anything with me before working on my leak just asked for money for diagnostic test which was a simple caulk gun and loose screw. Overall bad experience although he did arrive on time.

Last night I began to have a slow water leak from the A/C vent above my bed. I had to turn off my water at the main so I wouldn't risk having a ceiling collapse, or worse damage to my house (been there, done that before). I called 5 different plumbers, both the same night of the leak and today. The only plumber who actually did promptly respond was Wedgeworth, even though I'm outside their normal service area. Erica in the office was very accommodating, and helpful.

When the plumber, Edwin got here mid-day, I had the water shut off for about 15 hours. He went into my attic, but could not find any wet spots (once again, because the water was off). He left, I turned on my water main again, and right after that the leak began again. I called Erica in the office and she had Edwin come back out. This time, I left the water on, and when he got here he clearly saw the leak. He went up again and found the issue, and rapidly repaired it. The cost was very reasonable, and the repair should hold until I run new pipes throughout my house.

During a very stressful time, both Erica and Edwin were honest, fair, and easy to work with. If I ever have any further plumbing issues, I will use Wedgeworth again. I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.

After having repairs made to our sprinkler system we lost almost all water pressure to our home. It was so bad we could barely even run water for a minute to wash our hands. I called other plumbers but Wedgeworth was the only company able to provide me with a next day appointment and offered a free estimate. The others charged $100 just to show up.

James quickly diagnosed the problem, and restored our water pressure. He was also kind enough to take apart a bathtub faucet and clean out the valve at no additional charge, even though it had no bearing on the original job. I will most definitely call Wedgeworth in the future.

On January 28th, 2020 WedgEworth Plumbing turned my entire DDT's around. Looking for plumber quotes are never fun but unfortunately I had a toilet with a very slow flush that I couldn't figure out. Long story short I had a kids tooth brush taken out within minutes of the visit. After a clogged shower due to the wife's hair and that as well was taken care of within minutes. James is the plumber I had. He showed respect to myself and my home and immediately understanding about my situation. He provided different solutions and pricing very clearly and was looking out for me to save money. It wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for! It I used a cheap plumber I'd probably end up with a guy like James at the end of the day. I recommended the company and especially James. He was at my home no longer than 30-40 minutes tops. I was able to return to my day within no time.

Excellent, quick, and thorough service.
We had a minor problem where, strangely enough, one shower only put out cold water and another shower would only spew hot, scalding water. Both had single handle assemblies.

Using Yelp's handy dandy Request a Quote tool, I contacted Wedgeworth along with 5 other highly rated providers with details about my peculiar situation.
Although everyone answered in a timely manner, Wedgeworth was the only company that didn't give me a canned response - citing possible problems and solutions based on what I told them, from most minor to worst case scenarios.
This is basically the reason I went with them. Using their response, I could get ballpark estimates based on home repair calculators - I liked that.

The next morning, I called the business and they sent Rex WITHIN THE HOUR (mega fast!).
When he arrived, he suited up with boot covers, looked at both bathrooms, quoted me the repair price (which was on the low side of average according to my searches), and was out of the house in about 1.5 hours. Both showers now work marvelously.

Not only was Rex super amiable, the part was guaranteed for 2 years to boot.

I only wish there were more companies like this for ALL home repairs.

I had contacted this plumber for issues I had with a leaky faucet and a hot water heater that had gone out. My tenant had contacted me about these issues and I had noticed on yelp of the stellar reviews. I decided to give this plumber a try. Several days ago, I had a bathroom faucet changed out. My tenant had noticed that it was leaking afterward. I figured either the tubing or rubber gasket in the tubing had worn out and needed replacing. Since I am usually at work and unable to fix this in timely manner, I hired this company to do the job. Later, that day my tenant notified me that the plumber had came and left, but had charged her $99. The faucet itself however was not fixed. He had only came out for diagnosis only. I would have to reschedule him later if I wanted him to fix leak. I was a little annoyed as I would have to make new arrangement for him to return and fix issue on problem I had already deduced. I didn't need him to tell me solution I had already figured out. Several days later, I had another plumber assist me with this. He picked up couple of tubings from Home Depot and had this fixed in less than an hour.

As regard to the hot water heater, the plumber had recommended that I replaced the fire burning assembly. Since he had difficulty finding the part, he diagnosed that one solution is to replace the entire hot water heater. I researched online and came to conclusion that the hot water heater unit does not need replacing, just the thermocouple. After watching several YouTube videos, I realized that replacing the thermocouple is a simple process. The part is readily available at Home Depot for ~$12. I replaced the damaged thermocouple and had the hot water heater up and running in about an hour. Though this is not the recommended way of fixing my problem and likely voided any warranty per the manufacturer and plumber, I was able to save over $1000. I was fine with that as the unit is over 9 years old and likely had no more warranty. If my tinkering didn't fix the problem, I was willing to replace the entire unit. Luckily, I didn't need to do that. In the process I was able to gain an understanding of the inner working of a hot water heater. From a plumbers point of view, I could understand his stance as he was only following manufacturer's recommended process.

Though this plumber might be excellent at what he does, sometimes a quick research online might save you lots of money for simple DIY projects.

I spent a long time researching good plumbers online via Yelp, Angie's List and the Next door app. I am kind of a nerd that way. I saw great reviews for wedgeworth on all 3 apps. Out of the highly reviewed plumbers I called, wedgeworth was the only one that could come out within a few days (due to spring break being busy for all plumbers). So that was a win already.

Demondrick came out and was very professional, courteous and helpful. He even cleaned up when he left. I thought I was having some plumbing issues but he reassured me that everything was ok and that nothing needed to be repaired. This was a huge relief especially since another plumber told me that it would cost almost $600.

He also checked my master shower drain because something had fallen down it and also reassured me that it was draining well and there was no issue.

It is so refreshing to find an HONEST plumber!!!

Wedgeworth plumbing and Demondrick are my go to plumber from now on.

I needed an estimate and after reading the reviews to a few Plumbing companies, I decided to try Wedgeworth. They made my appointment the same week, which made it convenient for my schedule. Erika called me the morning of the appointment to inform me they were on their way. Arrival was tentatively 8-10am and they were at my home by 8:15am. Damondrick B. was very professional, knowledgeable and explained to me exactly what the work required and what my options were. Their prices were very reasonable and I got the quite in my email before he left my home. The estimate was also free, which is awesome because other companies I called had a trip charge. I was having problems with both hot water tanks in my house. Both of the Gas control valves needed to be replaced. Wedgeworth Plumbing came out to the rescue! They were on-time and very professional. They charge $99 service fee but if they do the work they will waive the service fee. They are very reasonable and straight forward. They will not give you the run around or over charge you.

It took the technician an hour to fix and I had hot water within 10 minutes! Totally saved my Thanksgiving holiday. I totally recommend this company, and will call them for future needs.

I like to think that I'm pretty handy and capable of fixing most issues. I usually prefer Google and/or YouTube over calling a plumber, electrician or any other tradesman. However, Wedgeworth has a very reasonable fee for a service call and the plumber was very professional and courteous. I might just call on them again next time I don't feel like crawling into a cramped cabinet.

Service is very streamlined and and billing is digital with emails introducing you to your plumber and invoices. The receptionist booking the appointments is very friendly as well. I would feel comfortable recommending Wedgeworth to anyone else for their plumbing needs.

I really appreciate your plumbers coming out in short notice to quote my job. They were very polite and professional. However....your quote was ridiculously high. I needed to replace a hot water heater and you were double/triple the price of anyone else. That includes the two plumbers I had show up after you and the quote I finally received from Lowe's. Your labor quote alone was more expensive than any gas water heater you would typically find and that's just the LABOR. As far as water heater replacement jobs go, mine was the easiest you could want. Simple disconnect/reconnect on a first floor next to the garage. I had really high hopes for you guys and was hoping I finally found my go to plumber in the neighborhood. I was in a bind and trying to get hot water back up and running for my family. Disappointed to say the least.

I would re-evaluate the market and determine what you're value-add is. A labor warranty in excess of 5 years on a product that typically has a warranty of 6 to 9 years might be something to look at. Take Lowe's out of the picture... a good plumber should be able to correctly connect gas and water lines. Repair parts for a typically water heater are relatively cheap. I appreciate the labor warranty but with a superior plumber, I hope to never need it. Most plumbers in the area charge $200 to $400 to connect a new gas water heater. I would assume the difference in service is not so different to make your quote of $700 for labor truly be a value add. Quick is never really a consideration over quality work at a reasonable price. You don't sacrifice quality for speed. At the end of the day I'm paying more for your warranty on labor which should already be done correctly the first time. In summary, your value of your work is admirable but is it something that the customer should pay double if not triple the price.... if you are doing well with this method, keep doing it and disregard my response.

Had this been a completely new install from beginning to end, I would have a different prospective on your price.

I really find these reviews quite suspect. So I called Wedgeworth to schedule an appointment, the lady seemed more interested in finding out where I found out about them than she did with my request nor did she have basic information about how they bill their clients for diagnostics. I am giving them a 1 star even though they have not performed any service because when I called they could not tell me whether Wedgewoth will transfer the costs to perfrom disgnosocs if I decide to fix with them. She said to me that it is a free estimate but with some costs? What costs? She couldn't specifically tell me. How the rest these folks were able to get them to come out to perform service without this most basic piece of information befuddles me.

My husband is in Europe right now and there was the smell of gas in our attic. Center point came out right away and said it was a leak in the water heater and turned off the gas. This is not something I wanted to deal with- especially because I am always getting ripped off when it comes to repairs and wish my husband was here to take care of it. However, I didn't want to take cold showers so I reached out to three plumbers. Wedgeworth was the only one that worked with my Saturday schedule and offered free estimates. Another local company diagnosed it over the phone and was pushy to schedule the appointment and charge me $350+. Today Damondrick came out (I appreciated the call ahead from the office) ahead of schedule. He was professional, very polite and friendly and took care of the issue in my 4th Story Attic water heater (it's hot up there) and dealt with my two overly friendly French bulldogs like a champ! Their slightly higher visit fee is worth the price, because they are more reasonable on the ultimate repair service quotes.

Wedgeworth charges $99 to come out and given an estimate. Village Plumbing costs $59.95. Both companies waive the up front fee if you use them for the ultimate service within a certain amount of time.

Thanks to the lower up front fee (and the good reviews on yelp.com), I had Village Plumbing come out and give me an estimate for putting a new valve on the outside of my water heater. I was confident of the needed fix, because our other water heater had given us the same problem. Village Plumbing said I needed to replace both water heaters because they were over 7 years old and had not been maintained. They quoted $3400 to replace both water heaters and $650 to just replace the valve on the one that was acting up. The representative was not very good at explaining to me why I needed to replace both water heaters just because they were old; he pointed out rust on one part and water spots on the outside of the water heater, but could not explain why these were dangerous, etc.

I called Wedgeworth to get a competitive bid. Wedgeworth also told me I needed to replace both water heaters because of their age and lack of maintenance. When I asked why, the representative was more convincing, explaining that the valve fix would cost $409 and so I might pay that for the small fix and then tomorrow have to replace the entire water heater. He quoted $3292 to replace both water heaters.

I had him do the $409 repair, and the water heater is working fine. It is now about 2 weeks since the Wedgeworth representative did his work.

Awesome quick service (less than 24 hours!!!) and reasonable pricing.

The plumber who came was extremely straightforward and we came out knowing that he only did what had to be done rather than selling us on needing a bunch of uneven art and expensive work.

He also explained what other work might need to be done in the future if and when necessary, as well as gave us a good understanding of pricing. He was courteous to the whole family.

I recently had a hole in a pipe on the 2nd floor of my home which caused water to pour through the light fixtures on the first floor. I called multiple plumbing companies frantically first thing the next morning and Wedgeworth was the quickest to fit me in. Rex was our plumber and he was super helpful in explaining the issue as well as speedy in replacing the pipe. He even called a restoration company and got them to come out while he was still at my home to give me a quote on drying up the damage. I needed a plumber to clear our lines in an older house. Their senior technician Sean did an excellent job and gave me price options and showed me his book of discounted and preferred prices. After finding some roots in the line, he offered a discounted rate of $99 to come back to run a camera (normally $300+, as I recall). Best group of guys Ever. Spoke about how the small company was and about the owner. Gave a very fair quote and even noticed something else that needed to be repaired and still was cheaper than the last few quotes I received. They have unclogged our sewer lines for us a couple times, and we will now go with them to do the bigger job of replacing the lines. :( An overall great experience. The thermocouple on my water heater needed replacing. The unit was only 3 years old, so the parts were covered by the factory warrantee, but not the service and installation. Wedgeworth Plumbing was once again STELLAR!!!! We now had a leak in attic pipes and the master bath toilet was leaking out of the gasket every time it flushed. We were having plumbing issues with our toilets backing up, every time we used the plunger they backed up into the bathtub. We called Wedgeworth and Sean came out and while clearing out the main sewer line he found tree roots in the line. He asked if he could come back the next day and bring a camera to send down the line (at his own expense). He came back the next day as promised there on the camera screen was a broken pipe caused by the tree roots. He gave us a quote, I told him I was going to call around and get more quotes. I called Sean back later that day and told him he was the cheapest, he and his crew came over the next day and fixed the broken pipe.

this company is my go-to source for plumbing issues. their pricing is reasonable, the work is good, and they can schedule quickly (i've been able to get same-day appointments in several situations). most importantly, their plumbers are honest (props to Damondrick!); i've had some situations where the source of the problem is unclear, and rather than immediately go to the most expensive fix they're field crew has made every effort to look into cheaper options first. whenever i have a piping issue, i call wedgeworth first!

I just finished a re-pipe of my house. I had 40 year old galvanized gunky pipes, and no water pressure. It would take 15 minutes to get hot water in the kitchen, but what you'd get is barely a trickle. I used Wedgewood Plumbing for the second time. I had used them for a hot water heater a year or two ago. This time, I had the crew for 3 days. They prepared my house so not to track in anything, and worked extremely hatd the whole time. I would get a call from Erica in Dispatch in the morning that the guys were 15 minutes out, and they would work all day with until lunch and then after lunch until 5-6 pm. Yovany ran the re-pipe crew and he was wonderful. Professional, personable and talented. He checked and re-checked everything to make sure everything was perfect. We had Sean (the owner) and Shane come by as well as Reggie and Sam. The company was very concerned about their workers and brought food and drinks in a cooler for them. They cleaned out every filter on every faucet and shower head. The end result is unbelievable water pressure and hot water on the spot. I would recommend Wedgewood Plumbing to anyone who wants a job well done at a good price. They may not be the lowest priced company out there, but they are in the same ball park as everyone and you get what you pay for...Excellent work, great character workers in your house, and a job well done with no headaches, or concerns. I had a clogged sink and even thought the plumber arrived during the time frame promised; the final charge was $175 for about 40 minutes of work. When I called the next day to get a copy of my receipt; the girl on the phone explained that there is 120 day or 1 time call warranty if the sink clogs again; they come out for free (I was not even told about that); but still; a little high for the time spent. A good plumber; very professional and courteous anyway.

My water heater went out and in need of a plumber quick. I called at least 5 different plumbers and from the moment Wedgeworth answered the phone I got a good vibe. They were the most courteous and helpful from the get go. They did not have any openings that day so I went ahead and made an appointment for their next available which would be the following day. I told them I was going to call around and if someone else was able to come that day I would call back and cancel. They understood. A few hours later she called and said they had a cancellation and would I like them to come today. Yes! I was coming from work and they actually beat me home and waited for me patiently. Rex was my technician. He was awesome. I don't know what the issue was but he fixed it in less then 5 minutes. He explained what he did and also answered my questions about a tankless water heater. Because of the recent freeze a pipe burst under my raised house. I called the city as well as 8 other plumbers to see I I could at least get the water turned off. No one was available for AT LEAST 2 days. I randomly called Wedgeworth Plumbing and they offered to come out the next day to shut off which they did. No service call fee. Because of the water under the house the plumber said he could either pump it out which would be expensive or come back and do the repairs in a couple of days after the water under the house went down. I opted for the latter. At this point no money had been requested or paid. Two days later the repair man showed up and made the repairs. I had to be at the VA Hospital all day so I arranged for their office to call my daughter when finished so she could pay by credit card. They agreed. During the day I started to panic because I forgot to ask for an estimate before repairs were started. Oh well! Too late now. When I got home my daughter informed me that the repairs cost A TOTAL of $280.00. No service call, no extras, no bullshit. It goes without saying, I've accidentally stumbled upon my forever plumbing company. If you believe in miracles you'll make them yours as well. They're a great company and I'm grateful to them for being a standout business.

I called three places to get estimates on some plumbing work we needed. Resetting a toilet, changing out shower/tub faucets and unclogging shower drain. Wedgeworth was the most reasonable and most detailed at explaining the process to us. We were hesitant at first about the estimate charge, but if you use them they credit it towards your total bill. We had some issues arise during the process: (1) trim face was wrong type, I needed moentrol and had ordered positemp (2) toilet flange needed to be replaced and (3) the drain was clogged by possible cement. Sean was more than helpful in every way he could assist to facilitate things for me and find alternatives. Unfortunately, at the end, I was very unhappy with the alternative trim we had to go with in order to get the job finished that day and will need to have them change it out. Reason for 4 star rather than 5 is that he did have to come back next day to retighten a handle as it was loose. If you are looking for a plumber who will explain in detail what all will be done, don't hesitate to give them a call. Honest and upfront.

He was able to fix our sink in less than five minutes which naturally turned into a while you're here, can you check why other vendors cannot remove my broken custom dishwasher from under the cabinet! I should have written this review after my first great experience last year with this company, but made it a point to do it this time after being over 100% satisfied with them. Last year we had a small leak in a pipe in the wall of our guest room that lead to the outside faucet for the water hose/spicket. We were given this company's name and number by a family friend who also had good things to say about them. We called and they came out very quickly, fixed the issue and installed a main line shut off valve for the entire house as well, so that we don't have to use the city shut off out by the street anymore. Not only was this very reasonable in price but he also did an excellent and clean job. Now this time when my houseguest was trying to shut off the shower in our guest bath and it wouldn't shut off, i made it a point to find their number and have them do the work again and was very, very glad that i did. I called on Saturday during the day and they said they were booked and Sean (the owner) wouldn't be able to make it until Tuesday. Well they called back right after this and said he can squeeze you in today and is in the area and can come in 15 minutes. He showed up, explained the problem but didn't have the right part on his truck to fix it, but was able to fix it so that we could turn the water back on until he found the part. He came back on Monday with a part but it was too big and so he spent the next two days searching suppliers for the part and talking with the manufacturer to find it. He fixed it last night and did not charge extra for the visits, the other parts that didn't work or how many stores he had to go to to find it. He is very friendly, professional, efficient, not to mention least expensive plumber we have ever dealt with. I HIGHLY recommend this company and Sean the owner. Please do not go to a huge company, give this company a try first, you will not be disappointed!

What a great company! I had a busted water heater pipe and needed a plumber, First place I called didn't even answer their phone or have voicemail and the second would only send someone for an estimate. Rex from Wedgeworth was at my house fixing the problem within 3 days. Rex was super helpful and explained everything he was doing. He even recommended a good water damage repair company. Pricing was very fair and work was accomplished much faster than I expected. A couple days later I lost pressure in my shower, and Rex was back again, but fixed the problem under the warranty, so no cost to me. I would highly recommend Wedgeworth Plumbing. When I called, they immediately answered the phone and made an appointment to come inspect the problem. They gave me an exact time not a window when they thought they might be able to come. I received a phone call that the technician was on his way 1/2 hour before Rex arrived. He was dressed very professionally. He listened to what we needed accomplished and made a plan. He quoted a fair price and we agreed to the work. He had an iPad with him that he typed the quote and we signed. Rex had to get a few parts from the store that he didn't have on his truck and he very quickly returned. He completed the work in a timely manner and took the time to explain what he had done and show us the work. He then cleaned up the area that he had been working in leaving it better than he found it. Our bill was exactly what he quoted with no hidden charges. After paying we immediately received an invoice via email stating a 25 month guarantee. We couldn't be happier with the service we received or the quality of work provided. Wedgeworth Plumbing did an outstanding job replacing my two water heaters; they did it on-time, they did it at the lowest price I could find, AND offered 12-months same-as-cash financing. Their team was very polite, was in and out without any challenges, and left my place perfectly clean! A couple more things - his team was awesome! He also got it done in a short time as I was heading off to vacation and wanted it done before I left. If you have old water heaters (8+ years old), I also recommend what he installed for me, tankless! WOW, continuous hot water (forever, really!) The tankless unit actually cost less than replacing the two units I had - now, labor was more, so it did cost more initially, but in the long run I'll save plenty of money. I can't say enough good things about how great Wedgeworth Plumbing is and how I will recommend them to everyone I can as I'm certain they will make those I refer equally as happy as I am.
