Jim replaced two hot water heaters and two boilers in our two family.  He would always call right back if we had a question.  Jim was very dependable and even helped get us an electrcion and chinmney people. I would highly recommend him.

Thanks to Ed Doughty, my partner and I are in the process of buying a condo and feel good about it.  After our home inspector went through the place, we wanted to bring in a plumber to get a second opinion on some things.  Not only did Ed agree to come look at the condo with very little notice but he was even-handed in assessing what our plumbing needs might be and giving ballpark estimates of their costs.  He was friendly, as was the women answering the phone,  and they actually called me back!  Though we haven't actually asked him to repair anything, I'd feel very comfortable working with him again.

Mark and his team provided fantastic service regarding both my exterior stair work off my porch (which requires more than necessary permitting in my town which he managed easily for me), as well as some fantastic exterior house painting.  Highly recommend Mark and his team.  Great people!

Tom answered our sunday morning phone call and was at our house within the hour to replace our hot water heater. Work was done in a couple hours, efficient and professional. Will definitely come back to Tom for any needs.

I called this morning at 10:15 and they had someone here by 12:30. The guy was professional, explained his work and the problem, and cleaned up very well. I feel very comfortable with the work that he did and am thankful for the quick turn around. They also have flat rate pricing so they stay until the job is fixed for a reasonable rate. I highly recommend them!

I had a broken water heater. I called Rob. Rob called back. Rob said does 10:30 Monday work for you. Rob showed up at 10:30 on Monday and replaced my water heater. Simple as that.

Mike and Jamie took on a complicated install in an antique home and finished under the quote and in a few days. They were both extremely friendly and thorough as well as checked an existing gas pipe that was leaking which was installed by another plumber without my requesting.
I would not use another plumber in the south shore again! Thank you for the prompt response.

Wow these guys are good! Less than 24 hours after I called needing some minor service on my HVAC condenser, they've got it fixed, and at a reasonable cost as well. Super responsive, extremely friendly. They also quickly identified the source of the problem (where others had failed to recently) and offered to provide a repair estimate, but told me to check with the installer first because I might get a better deal. Are you kidding me? They show up and do excellent work and then, when they've got me right there with my wallet open ready to pay for additional work at whatever the cost, and they say hang on, check your other options just to be sure. Not a quality you find in the Hub too often. From now on, Quarry Hills is the FIRST company I call with any central air needs.

I can't say enough great things about Andrew. I have an older furnace for 1 apartment in my 3 family in Everett. Many years ago other HVAC contractors told me it was junk and to replace it. At that time, it wasn't even old! Anyway, I've had really poor experiences with this system. During the past winter, it was repaired twice and failed a 3rd time. This system has been a royal pain. I decided to try yet again and call another company. When Andrew arrived, he looked so young I thought 'oh boy'. Well, Andrew went up to the attic above the 3rd floor apartment (this is not a fun job). Andrew was very communicative sharing what he was trying and discovering. He saw an old part left from a prior repair. Andrew tested the electrical and diagnosed a problem with the electrical. This would necessitate replacement of the motherboard (and also explained why other repairs didn't hold up). Andrew recognized the brand (other contractors didn't or just told me they didn't) and he called right while he was with me to see if he could get the part. I am beyond impressed. He knew where to call because they had the part for this older furnace. Andrew gave me an estimate, and also gave me an estimate to replace. I asked if he thought I could get another couple of years and he honestly said yes. When I met him to install the motherboard, he thoughtfully picked up an ignition switch too. His price was more than reasonable, but his knowledge, honesty and communication is unparalleled. Andrew had a great attitude and was pleasant throughout! He fixed my furnace that multiple other contractors either could not or would not fix. I will be calling him eventually to replace the system when its time. From this point on, Andrew is the man I'll call and recommend him to others.

This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. Where to begin? We had a very minor problem with a toilet. My father in law was visiting and randomly picked these guys out of the paper. First off, their plumber was well over an hour late and when we called to ask, the owner, who is a complete and utter nightmare, he literally snapped he's coming and hung up in my wifes face. We had to take time off work for this. That was just the start.

Not only did the plumber not fix our problem but he created a new one, now our shower leaks water. He also managed to sell us a part we didn't need. Our next plumber told us that he has a terrible reputation in the south shore area.

So now we don't have the problem solved and then we get a bill for 800 bucks. We called repeatedly to ask him to return to at least fix the shower problem that his plumber had created and he kept putting us off. We refused to pay this bill until he fixed that problem, which by the way, his plumber did concede to us that he had caused and said it was just one of those things

Well, now this guy is not only not fixing his problem(we paid another plumber 300 dollars to fix the problem he caused) but without warning he filed court papers for his ridiculous 800 dollars.

Seriously, read all the reviews of this guy. He is horrendous. We could tell that his employee who was here was terrified of him also. DO NOT USE SG HAROLD PLUMBERS. They are unqualified and unprofessional at a level I've never encountered.

I've used Maddaleni several times over the last 6 years based on a family member's recommendation. I've been impressed with his work. Other plumbers were unreliable or didn't return calls. He has a system for call intakes and responds promptly every time. His prices are fair and reflect the level of service he provides. Once I was unable to get time off when my water heater needed replacement. I left him keys in a lockbox. He took care of everything and did not leave any evidence of his visit except for a brand new water tank and hot water in the tap when I got home. I also trust him because he is honest with me when he can tell on the phone something does not require a visit instead of charging for a house call just to say nothing is wrong. Highly recommended.

Was referred to them by my building manager. Took time off work to meet Jack on a Monday morning 8am for a quote to install a gas line on my deck. He never showed or called. Tracked him down later that day and rescheduled for the next day 8am again. This time he didnt even come up but sent his assistant to come look. Basically just eyeballed the area, wrote down nothing and said they'd get back to me with a quote. A week later i called and txtd Jack twice with no quote or response. Total waste of time!

Call them. They come by for an estimate. They said we will call with a price. Never heard from them again. If they are not calling back that means they don't want your business. Gave my business to another company.
