Mr fix it was born in 1986 by my father in the developing years he found a passion for plumbing and passed it on to me at a very young age. I love what i do for a living. The most important thing my dad told me was to be honest. And that has been rule number one for me since.

Fantastic plumber. Always on time. I've had David do several jobs over the last few years on my house. I live in downtown Boston and always get great prompt service, job big or small. He installed our combo hot water/heat system a few years ago and just did our stove installation last week. Top notch service and quality work.
David is the best! He did the plumbing for our house remodel project -- putting in a whole new plumbing system for our house when we moved the kitchen to the opposite side of the house and gutted and redid 2 full bathrooms.
We highly recommend David. You can rely on him to do a great job with any plumbing issues you run into, but above and beyond that, he's responsive, arrives on time - or lets you know if schedule has to change, and he's reliable, and just an all-round great guy.

Very fast service, especially in emergencies. I have used Mr. Fix-It for the past 8 years for various jobs: new bathroom (from scratch) in a house, changing the heating system from oil to gas, various emergencies with frozen pipes to leaking faucets, etc...The response has always been quick and professional. We were visiting our daughter who lives in Brighton. Her shower was draining poorly so I checked Yelp for a highly rated plumber AFTER Roto Rooter had given us a quote for several hundred dollars to unclog a shower drain. David showed up within an hour and charged less than $100. He was polite, efficient and someone we'd definitely use again.

I had a great experience with Mr. Fix It Plumbing. David responded very quickly after I put out a request on Yelp for a plumber to replace my shut-off valves and fix a dripping kitchen sink. They were able to accommodate the date/time I had from my building for shutting off the water and communication/scheduling was very easy.
Junior showed up on time for my appointment and was very nice, skilled, efficient, tidy, etc... A very easy and pleasant experience overall, and will definitely be calling them the next time I have a plumbing job!
David replaced my gas water heater because it was leaking. He arrived exactly on time (not obvious with plumbers). He did a great job with replacing it and answered all of my questions with patience. The price was very reasonable which is very important when you have an emergency plumbing issue.
I'd definitely hire him again if needed in the future.

I have used David a few times in the past and he has always been great. But today took the cake- Last night I had an emergency- a valve in my dishwasher had let go and water was just pouring into my kitchen. I couldn't turn the valve under the sink off because it was frozen and so had to turn off all the water in the house at the main. I called David first thing this morning to see if there was any way that he could come to the house to fix the under-sink shutoff valve to the dishwasher so that I could turn the water back on in the house. He couldn't, but he gave me his dad's number! His dad was the original Mr.Fix-it! Dad came over a couple of hours later and fixed everything in about 15 minutes, including installing a new water supply hose to the dishwasher. Very reasonable price, too!
You really can't go wrong with these guys- I feel so fortunate to be their customer!
Even in 11degree weather on Monday Morning David was able to fit us into his schedule and help with a clog. He also fixed a mistake that the previous contractor made when installing this new toilet.
We have to keep this building maintained and will be contacting him again! Highly recommend this company! Thank you!
So our garbage disposal in our kitchen sink has gotten to a severe level and we were really looking earnestly for a plumber to come unclog and help us with the motor. However, this company decided to ask if my garbage disposal was running, and when I responded, I was just told that they couldn't make it. Why even ask the question of what is wrong with my garbage disposal
if you're going to just blow me off and say you won't be available. Not sure what the deal is.

My house is 110 years old, so there were many challenges like non-standard, old or European fixtures and configurations. They fixed numerous problems. I appreciate the level of expertise and experience. I also appreciate that the owner has a strong network of experts he consults if needed. The plumber they sent is fantastic. He is meticulous in repair, record keeping, clean up and billing, and he is great to work with, for example when needing to prioritize or problem solve. The support staff is also excellent: prompt calls, scheduling, follow up, prompt receipts. I highly recommend Mr Fix It Plumbing.
Cannot tell you how great Dave was! We called him first thing in the morning for a blown water heater, and he texted right back and we actually found out that our heater was under warranty, which was a HUGE expense off. He came the same day and replaced our water heater, and cost us $1300. HUGE help! Only thing I would have changed is the price, which seemed a bit high, but for same day replacement/service we were more than willing to pay it. Highly recommend!

Came out look at my shower for 10 mins didn't fix the problem told me what piece to go buy.. an charged 165 dollars... worse service ever would never recommend to anyone!!! I had to go to Home Depot an get the piece an install it myself
Called this plumber for help with a leak in my kitchen. He tells me he is unable to help me for three weeks. Asked for a recommendation. I obviously can't wait three weeks to have a leak fixed. He told me he didn't know of any other plumber he could trust. I would worry about trusting a plumber he doesn't know of any other colleagues to support a prospective client. You can't expect someone to wait three weeks to fix a leak. He was very rude on the phone. I would really think twice about a plumber who has no professional connections.
David installed a new outdoor water meter at our house, including brand new shut-offs, new copper piping, a specialized backflow preventer to make sure we were up to code. He also coordinated the inspection, which we passed.
David and his team also replaced a bunch of old pipes as part of the project, which eliminated rushing water noise that had been bothering us for a while. David is very detail-oriented and showed up to the initial appointment with printouts of the local code requirements. Communication was top notch, including making himself available for a few follow-up questions after the project. I would highly recommend working with David again!

Sent request at 10pm, they came the next morning. Assessed the problem and fixed it within 30 min. Reduced rate because it was a simple.
Came early spotted a problem that my ex-plumber caused. Fixed the problem. Very happy with service and price

I am pleased with the replacement of an outside faucet and interior water valve. The plumber who arrived was very clear about what needed to be done and he was reasonably fast and efficient. I appreciated that he showed up with a mask on also.
David was prompt and courteous. He responded to me over the weekend, and he took care of my toilet issue first thing Monday. Given that this was not an emergency, I was very pleased with his response. I highly recommend, and his pricing was very reasonable.

I can't say enough about how wonderful Dave was! He returned my phone call within 24 hours and gave some suggestions to our problem OVER THE PHONE (what!) His suggestion didn't work unfortunately so we scheduled a morning for him to come. He told me exactly what to do before he arrived (buy a new faucet). He and his partner came to Chinatown where the parking is not easy to say the least. Dave was not phased. He showed up exactly when he said he would and got right to work. Dave is the nicest guy, very professional and does excellent work. I highly recommend him!
David is fantastic- reliable, efficient, and professional. He's also very reasonably priced and a super nice guy to boot. Have highly recommended him to friends and neighbors and will absolutely use him again. He repaired a toilet in one bathroom and a sink in another- quick, clean, pro- and we plan on having him back when we renovate.

David is simply the best. Look no further for all your plumbing needs. He has been my go-to plumber for 10+ years and has done all sorts of work in my 121 year old house. He has replaced toilets, fixed faucets, installed water filtration, fixed a shower valve, plumbed water to my refrigerator, and, and, and. He is very capable, reliable, kind, and competent. There is a saying that if you have a good plumber and a good mechanic, you should never move. I'm not going anywhere...

I called these guys and they were at my house within an hour ( I was lucky that day that they were available ), that being said ; these guys were polite , professional, and did a great job replacing a defective part on my water tank.
I will never use anyone else!! These guys are the best.

It's not easy to get emergency service for a burst pipe on the first day of a school vacation week. But they returned my call within 20 minutes and were at my home in another 20 minutes. They was able to make a quick emergency repair allowing us to have normal water service until a proper full repair can be done in spring. And they showed me how to prevent a repeat incident. They were very professional and courteous and I would definitely hire them again. The price, while high for a job that took well less than an hour, accurately reflected the emergency service and I was happy to pay it.
David was super quick to respond! I hired one of his team members to replace a wall-mounted toilet in my bathroom. Wall-mounted toilets are not standard, but he was able to pick one up from his supplier and we scheduled the replacement within 48 hours. The job took less than 2 hours to complete - and most importantly, it was done cleanly and professionally. I'm so happy with the results.

You need no other Plumber in Brookline other than Mr. Fix Plumbing. David recently completed a complicated 2 boiler replacement in tight quarters in our boiler room. He efficiently and diplomatically resolved the technical complications bringing the ventilation system up to the town's new codes that was required to pass inspection. He's rapid fire quick in his assessments, and getting his work completed in clean and professional manner, reflecting a lifetime of experience and it was all done for good price. Top notch Plumbers. I did 2 jobs with them, on both they came in better priced than the competition, which to me was just a bonus. Projects went very well all around. David, the Owner, answered my phone call and answered every questions or concerns that I had, with patience and came up with creative solutions even when things were not so conventional in my home. Thank you so much David and thank your team for me too.
We needed a water line run through the kitchen to hook up our ice maker. We had just moved in and didn't know anything about where our shut offs were. They had it done in no time and were kind enough to explain things to us as well. They just seemed so knowledgeable

My shower stopped turning on one day so I sent a quote request on Yelp. David was responsive, punctual, and professional. We had this same issue less than two years ago and he diagnosed the issue quickly and was in and out in under 20 minutes. Price was reasonable. We would use him again in the future.

David is very professional, experienced and knowledgeable. He comes well equipped and prepared, and does a good job in a timely manner, at a reasonable price.
It takes many years to become a licensed plumber, and even more to become a Master plumber, like David. Seeing that there are so many unprofessional people out there, doing shoddy work and/or ripping off, I really respect and appreciate Mr. Fix It.
They can handle jobs big and small, plumbing, heating etc.
The only thing that could be better is communication by email or text. But if you're comfortable on the phone, and understand they're very busy, you should be fine.
Overall- highly recommended :-)

Today our shower faucet broke and we couldn't turn off the water. We called Mr. Fix-It Plumbing and a few other businesses. Mr. Fix-It was the fastest to respond and show up.
The plumber - Jefferson - was diligent and courteous. He shut off the water, got to the root of the problem, and went to the supply store for a replacement part. Within a couple of hours, our shower was as good as new.
Emergency plumbing services aren't cheap, but I won't hesitate to call Mr. Fix-It again if we need someone in a pinch.
We used him in a previous house and thought he did a great job, but he tried to fix our furnace and did a terrible job that we had to get another plumber to fix it. And he wanted me to change things out that were absolutely fine.

Over and over and over, Mr. Fix-It Plumbing keeps doing incredible work at my condo. They've replaced, fixed and adjusted all types of things in my home now, and they really stand by their work. They are truly an incredible operation. Why can't all tradesmen be like this? Truly, we would all be so much better off.

David from Mr. Fix-It was able to come over the day after I called, which was great. I needed 2 small things done, one of which, it turned out, was so small (pulling something out of the sink disposal) that he didn't charge me for that. He also replaced the sink sprayer which was broken. David is a really nice guy; this is the 2nd time I've used him and definitely would again.
Did the trick!
Took care of broken pipe. Totally understood the problems, and showed up timely.
Also installed a new shower head and controls.
Had to rip out walls.

David and his crew are trustworthy, professional and personable. We recently renovated our home which included an entirely new kitchen, master bathroom with a dual headed shower and soaking tub. We have had ZERO issues with his work.
Yesterday our 11yr old hot water tank finally tanked and today Mr-Fix Plumbing came and installed a new one.

This is the 2nd time I've used Mr. Fixit and both were 5 stars. This time was a small job: upgrading water lines, installing sink, disposal, dishwasher in rental unit kitchen in our 2-family. We needed it done quickly since the tenants moved out on short notice and we had a new one. And, we were on vacation for the month so I did it all by phone and text with David (and a key I hid temporarily). He had a good idea that made the job easier and cheaper, was responsive, did what he said he'd do when he said he'd do it, and it all came out great. I'm really happy with his work. He is a real pro. And, his price was really reasonable. I was looking for a plumber to replace our prior one, who after 30 years of service twice didn't respond to us in urgent situations. Now I've found the right one. I just hope he doesn't get to popular but I still owe him this review.
Where do I start ? I've been using Mr. Fix-it plumbing for many years. I've used them for several projects around the house (Kitchen install, Sewer line replacement, etc) and they have been nothing short of amazing. They always arrive on time, leave a clean work area, and the level of their work is top-notch. David is fantastic !!! He is detailed oriented, courteous, has vast professional knowledge, has patience to explain all of the options, and above all, he is a really nice person. He is very responsive, and has gotten us out of a pickle on several occasions. Recently, our heating broke down on thanksgiving, and David solved the issue and got it up and running quickly.

Our hot water heater, which was under warranty, started leaking on Easter Sunday. We texted David (we are prior customers) and he got back to us within an hour with a promise to show up the next morning. We had a new hot water heater under the warranty by noon the next morning.
Do not call for the service unless you want to get scammed. I called the service for sink faucet repair. I took pictures of all the parts and was expecting for their expertise. The owner gave me the quote for 200 and I accepted, that's considered they finish the repair. However, no information was disclosed on if they fail to repair, they will still charge you the same amount. Owner never mentioned there is a cost for the diagnosis. I think it is common sense to provide all the necessary information and have the clients' consent before you proceed to business. That's just extremely unprofessional.

I just moved into a new house and the mixing valve on the hot water tank sprang a leak. David took my frantic phone call, was here within an hour and fixed the problem (a cracked washer) in ten minutes. What a relief!

I can't recommend David (the owner) and his team highly enough. From the beginning he was prompt, communicated clearly via Yelp message and email and text, and was straightforward about my options for replacing our aging water heater. When the time came for the install, the work was completed on time and as expected, with no hidden charges or surprises. We had a small wiring issue that cropped up after the job was done, and as soon as he heard about it, David came right back the next morning at 8 am to fix it. Best of all, the MFI team left our basement cleaner than when they came to install the new heater. Highly recommend. Will definitely call MFI the next time we need a plumber.
Had a great first experience with Mr. Fix-It. Scheduling was easy, and Junior arrived for the job right on time, which was greatly appreciated. I had them come in for a quick toilet job, and service was prompt, and the price was very fair. I'll definitely use them again in the future!
