New Age Plumbing & Heating

Alfred has now bailed me and family out of 3 major jams in the past 18 months. The first was when the plumber that I had hired (or so I thought) didn't show up for a kitchen remodel. I got New Age Plumbing's number from a friend and Alfred was at my house that afternoon to check out the job and he started the following morning. Alfred's quick response made it possible to keep my remodel on schedule. Several months later our hot water heater blew a massive leak at 8 pm on a Saturday, Alfred showed up Sunday morning to install a new heater and haul to old one away. Finally last night the faulty gas valve on the same hot water heater failed and Alfred was here this afternoon replacing the valve, when hot water heater manufacturer was going to make me and my family wait until next week for a repair. I have nothing but good things to say about these guys. I would recommend them 100%

Timmy came out to our condo after our AC wouldn't start up for the summer season. He was very polite and methodical and worked over several days to identify the leak in our AC pipe which ended up being behind a wall in our unit. He checked in with us after the leak was repaired to ensure that everything was running as it should- and he encouraged us to call him if we needed anything. After having attempted to contact & schedule several HVAC contacts with little success, it was a breath of fresh air to have someone come out and fix our issues in a timely manner.

Tim was retained by my landlord to replace our central AC setup.  He did this in a very short time and was easy to deal with during the process.  Great guy and the AC is working fabulously for a good price.

We applaud Timmy and the New Age Plumbing professionals for being the best in the business! The first time I met Timmy was 4 years ago when I lost heat in my condo and Timmy had to get onto my roof to repair the HVAC system. In the snow! And I later found out he does not really like heights.
My husband and I moved back to Roslindale and bought a house . We had an old oil tank, old boiler, and 1 heating zone for the whole house. Timmy and his crew have totally updated our whole heating system and we are thrilled. The team at New Age Plumbing are helpful, smart, professional and really good people.
And on top of this, our dishwasher stopped working Christmas weekend and Timmy came on Christmas Eve to help us. He figured out the problem and fixed the dishwasher for us.
We cannot exaggerate how lucky we feel to have found Timmy and his crew.

My wife and I hired New Age Plumbing and Heating to replace our 30 year old boiler and hot water heater.  In their place, Timmy and Alfred installed a new wall mounted high efficiency boiler and an indirect water heater.  We were very impressed with their workmanship, communication, and knowledge of plumbing and heating.  On top of all that, they're genuinely nice guys!  In short, they did a fantastic job, and we'd be happy to hire them again.

We had New Age come out mid-winter to replace our leaking hot water heater. They were available right away and came over promptly. We were told we needed to replace our furnace along with the hot water heater. He was able to get the equipment and install it quickly. Great. Problem is our complete heating and AC system has never worked again. It takes a minimum of 5 minutes for us to get hot water; the blower will not turn off with the thermostat - it's just on constantly; and now our AC - which worked fine before the replacement doesn't work at all.

We have tried to get in touch with Tim repeatedly to address these issues. Once he sent a tech but he was unable to fix the problem, and we have not been able to get ahold of him since. Very frustrating!!  Would not recommend.

We didn't hire Tim but he worked with the contractor we hired for a bug renovation. He replaced our entire heating system and added central air. 2 years later and the AC isn't working. We called another plumber to take a look who told us the system was installed incorrectly and the refrigerant is completely drained. It's going to be $3k to fix. We reached out to our contractor who insisted we let Tim take a look. It took days for Tim to even call me. Then he said he'd clear his calendar to take a look. Now it's been 3 days and still haven't heard a word. He doesn't keep his word and doesn't do quality work.

Unrelated the reason I'm posting this review but at the time of the install we chose to go with two separate condensers which is more expensive. We came home to find out he'd decided to do one without telling us. Had to cut out part of my closet to do the vent through the second floor. My clothes were thrown all over my bed and most things ruined because of the dust. On top of that no one said a word to us about cost and we had to ask for them to lower the price based on other honest quotes we'd been given.

I do not recommend.

I highly recommend Timmy Lewis from New Age Plumbing. Our AC blew the week I was due with our first child in the height of the summer. Timmy answered the phone himself, came right away for an estimate, was kind and empathetic, trustworthy and reliable. He and his crew not only got it fixed quickly (for thousands below what several competitors quoted us), but he and his guys also checked on me the whole time to make sure I was doing ok in the heat. Great guy, quick work, very fair pricing.  He is honest and upfront and you can trust that he will do the job right. Additionally, he has called to check on us several times to make sure the unit is working right and we were satisfied.  I have since recommended him to several people, and he has consistently given honest assessments (ie - I think you can get another 2 years out of your unit) at fair prices. Timmy's a local guy, a family guy, and a veteran. You can't lose by giving him your business!

Tim and his partner came in and repaired my AC system quickly and at a reasonable price. Great guy.

New Age Plumbing & Heating was recommended to us by the appraiser for our new 2 family home. Our insurance company required us to replace the old, rusted coal conversion boiler in the first unit, and we ended up swapping out both units boiler and hot water heater systems (not a small endeavor)

I had been working with our local oil company to get quotes and it was a labored process at best. I called Timmy and he showed up within the hour to take a look at the job and he gave me a full written quote that afternoon. Not only was his response faster and more professional, but it came in about $5k less expensive than the other company's quote. He also outlined the entire incentive process for switching from oil to gas and the rebate process of putting in the high efficiency boilers/hot water heaters.

Our house is almost 100 years old, and with that comes many old pipes and surprises. Timmy and his crew worked tirelessly to ensure the transition was as painless as possible (especially crucial with this winter's single digit nights). When our old existing boiler was giving us unrelated problems, Timmy helped with creative, inexpensive stop gaps to make sure we had heat while they finished their work. There were several 15+ hour days that Timmy, Alfred and his crew were working in our basement to make sure the Job was finished on time.

In the end, it was finished exactly on budget (a little under, actually, with the cash discount), the inspector gave the thumbs up and everything was submitted for the rebate. Converting and replacing the heating system is a big job; New Age did great work, and I couldn't be more pleased. I am glad to have found such a reliable plumbing and heating service for our new home.

My hot water heater failed on a Sunday while I was in California. Tim & co showed up first thing Monday morning to fix it quickly without any payment yet. Very nice guy and orchestrated everything while I was out of town. I will use them again.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are having an issue with your home/condo/apartment A/C!

My HVAC system went down 4th of July weekend, we had a leak and ended up needing coolant and a new electrical board for the unit. Tim was amazing to work with, he kept me informed of everything going on with ordering replacement parts and showed up exactly as promised. Once everything was fixed we had issues with our Nest thermostat and Tim had to come back, he spoke to their support line with me as he drove over and resolved the issue upon arrival quickly. He has gone above and beyond with checking in with me to make sure everything is working correctly.

Tim at New Age continues to be our go to guy for heating systems and plumbing issues. He came out again after the recent blizzard to make sure we had heat.  It's wonderful to deal with a professional and genuinely nice person!

Great customer service. Very transparent with costs and expectations. They were quick and were able to show me what needed to get replaced. They were in and out within a few hours.

Very very disappointed. We called New Age Heating on 2/27/15 to repair our gas furnace. Furnace was turning on and then after a minute turned off. A techinician from New Age came out and replaced a part, said it was all set and charged me $250. A few days later the same exact problem happened. When I called back the owner TIM to report my heating situation, I was told they wouldnt be able to come out. 2 days later, the owner is now avoiding all of my texts, phone calls and emails. When I text him from another cell phone #, he answered back but then continued to ignore me. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. New Age doesnt even have the common courtesy to reply or call me back. 50 degrees in my condo right now. I want my money back.

Tim is a very professional and nice person who replaced my boiler quickly. He finished the work days ahead of schedule and was very thoughtful about giving me a price I could work with. It's easy to get a hold of him with questions, too. Highly recommend his company!

Great team, service and price -- you won't be disappointed. I've tried a number of plumbing and heating teams in the Boston and DOT areas -- some good, but way too expensive, and others downright bad. New Age was exactly what I was looking for -- quality work at reasonable prices. They will be my new go-to.
