Joe (I believe that's his name) provided excellent service, reasonable price and on very short notice. He was also very polite, professional and courteous. Will have no problem calling them again!

Amazing service, highly recommend! Called at noon on a Saturday and had a new water heater installed by 3pm! Wasn't even an emergency, just fantastic response and service. Very happy to have found a new plumber.

Tom and his team saved the day. Broken hot water tank and valve. It's Saturday afternoon. I spend six hours on the phone trying to find a plumber to replace the tank before Monday. I get two quotes, both of them $3500, which is essentially extortion. I'm about to give up, and then I call Tom. He says he can be there in an hour. I'm waiting for the catch - price is $1650. His team shows up Sat night and gets the job done. Sends me a text photo (did I mention I'm out of town and have water leaking in my basement) to show the new tank. Tom saved us either a very difficult weekend without water or $2000. Thank you!

Tom replaced our oil heating system with gas.  Fast reliable service, solid equipment, good price and a great result. For the first time ever our heat is spread evenly throughout the house.

I had a couple of simple things to get taken care of. I'm very happy with the service. They were on time, communicated well, and were extremely fast in taking care of my issues. The price was given to me up front.

I had spent weeks with GE warranty support and other plumbers in troubleshooting my water heater problem. I finally was ready to pay for a new water heater and installation fee before I contacted Boston Budget. But, they were able to use my warranty on the water heater and got me a new one. Extremely professional service, they removed the old one out and took it to Home Depot replaced it and installed the new one. Thanks to Tom, I was able to save on the cost of a new water heater.

My mom has been trusting her home to this company for a few years.  Most recently we were having an issue with flushing/drainage.  Tom came in with his equipment ready to solve the issue.  After making his way into a very old pipe he used an electronic telescope to look into sour sewage pipe.  He humored me and allowed me to watch. I can only liken it to a colonoscopy! LOL  What he did find was that the issue wasn't ours!  There's an issue on the city's side.  This was truly money well spent!

I just have to add this - I truly appreciate the honest care they have taken  with my mom and her home.  Being out of state you always wonder if your older parent is being taken advantage of.  This I can happy say is not the case!  She has used BBP and the electrician who is connect to them.  I'll be making an appointment for them to do some work at my job as well.  I highly recommend them :)

Needed a disposal replaced. Initial availability was several days later so told them I would find someone else. They confirmed they could send someone the next day which was confirmed and then re-confirmed the next morning.

Despite several emails and calls, 4.5 hours after the confirmed window of service passed they cancelled. Unresponsive afterward about sending anyone.

Their technician Tim did a great job coming out at 9PM to take care of our heater that had stopped running. He fixed the heater and offered to do a tune-up, which was overdue. Amazing that he was willing to work until 11PM and get the problem fixed.

Tom Phan responded promptly to my need for a new kitchen sink faucet to be installed, and he and his co-worker did a superb job. Just as important to me, Tom was patient and friendly with me on the phone and gave of his time generously to answer all of my questions and respond to all of my concerns. I hired BBP to remove / re-install a steam generator.  Tom Phan did a great job.  He was professional, courteous, and double-checked everything he did, giving me peace of mind.  The total cost came in below the estimate he gave me, and I got a FREE replacement toilet seat just as they promised!  BBP will be my go to plumbers in the future.

I called BBP after noticing a water leak behind my washer machine. Ryan was able to come out and assess the situation within 24 hours and scheduled Tom to inspect and repair.

Tom came out two days later and was able to spot the source of the leak, and suggested i replace my entire washer/dryer stack. I declined, since the leak just appeared to be a $30 hose to have failed. Tom also suggested the HVAC unit nearby needed to be cleaned, to which I mentioned I have an HVAC service scheduled for two weeks later. After the weekend, Tom came back with a new hose to repair and tried charging me $900 after claiming to have serviced my HVAC (though he wouldn't tell me exactly what he did) and replaced gas hoses to the dryer which was absolutely unnecessary.

I've used many home professionals in the past and I've never felt like I've tried to get taken advantage of until now. Giving two stars since I assume the work was actually completed within a week, but to be charged $900 for a hose replacement is absolutely shameful. I strongly recommend using another local professional for plumbing issues.

Tom provided a great experience, very communicative, and was able to respond and help me on VERY short notice (1-2 days). I don't know what is a normal price for plumbing, but I'm very happy he was professional, courteous, and just pleasant to deal with.

I called Boston Budget Plumbing at 3:31pm. Billy, just left my house at 4:45pm with the job done. That's insane. (Awesomely insane). Had glass in my sink disposal, and he came and cleaned it out and everything's working perfectly again! Doesn't really get any better than that. Price is fair. No qualms at all. Thanks Billy. (And Tom).

Call someone else. They're quick to respond but their pricing is twice (sometimes 3 times) as much as other places. Also, RED FLAG - The tech refused to tell me how much of the quote was for labor and how much of it was for parts. I've tried to give them several chances but felt like they were trying to rip me off every time.

1. Called them for a clogged pipe in the basement. They tried to unclog it with no success and then quoted me $6k because they said they needed to break the concrete floor to fix the issue. They asked for $3k before beginning the work but something felt off so I told them to hold off until the next day. That same day, my father stopped by to check it out... he snaked it himself and it cost me $0 dollars! They still got me for the $250 it cost for them to come out.

2. I called for a tenant whose heat was not working. He took a look and told me the parts that needed replacement and gave me a rough estimate of almost $1k. I then told him to also give me a quote of how much it would be to replace the entire furnace since it's old anyway and wanted to compare numbers. He went to his truck to write up the estimates. When he came back, the original estimate to fix the parts went up to $1,700 now instead of the 1k. The quote to replace the furnace was also ridiculous. I found someone to replace my furnace for WAY less than their quote. So much for budget pricing.

they were fast and they tired to beat me. I had a 60 gallon tank and they put in a 40 saying this is what they took out.  until I showed them the picture of the guy standing next to the water tank.

Called Boston budget under difficult circumstances, Steam boiler simply gave up! it was a thursday night, heading into a chilly (nov) weekend and the holidays right around the corner, and I HAVE TO CALL A PLUMBER to rerplace my heating system, good bye holidays right?

Thursday NIGHT, Tom shows up at the house, does a full expection, talks to me about the how, when, $$$. Typically this conversation is sickening... NOT WITH Tom,
He would bring a team in this weekend to PULL the old boiler ( and throw away), bring in New Boiler install, check all the steam radiators, and provide additional 'follow up' as necessary.
My 1st comment, OK, tell me how much outside of the weekend ( thinking the EXTRA $$ may be hidden in weekend cost, NOPE, not with Tom)
I nearly fell off my seat, I could immediately realize I was talking/dealing with an honest man who simply wanted to work. THE Price was the closure on the deal!!!
ok, so, half $$ down, good guy with great promise, outlined dates, and expectaitons... time to see the real world right? after all he is a contractor.. do they care about the customer and keeping commitment?

08:00 Sunday Morning, Tom and crew show up at the house ready to work, and work they do, old system out, GONE!,
New system in (Same day) and IF I'm not mistaken to do the job RIGHT, they had to place the bolier in backwards to old system, completely repipe, GAS, Water and Steam pipes, all completed same day, and NEVEr, NEVER, the typical, oh we ran into this issue and guess what more $$ from you! NOPE
Job done, work area cleaned, al the old GONE!
Tom then, came into the house, explained the 'what could happen' what to look for, and HOW to fix any concerns (typical house hold stuff, not what he just did)
well, its all working better than it had in years, and my holidays werent stilen by a contractor, but saved by an honest and hard working Man Tom Phan and his team!

They are busy and booked, but came and repaired a botched job on my water heater/boiler that another plumber abandoned.
While two other groups said they needed to repipe my entire house, Tom and his workers worked with what I had, redid what was necessary and made sure to pass inspection. They did all this in 2 days and for a third of the cost of others in my area. I will definitely work with them again.

Boston Budget Plumbing was referred to me by a friend who said he used Tom all the time. Sorry to say I spoke with Tom twice and had left two other voice mails. Tom said he would call me back both times but never did. I realize he like everyone else is busy but dont ask about the issue and the address and then not follow up its bad business. I own my own business and if I am too  busy or not interested in the job I tell the customer right then and there and maybe make a referral, I wont call them again and will not refer them

Quick response, diagnostic and appreciated their candid feedback once the problem was found that we were better off doing the solution ourselves rather than having them do it. Only downside was the holes they left were a bit jagged making the patch job in the ceiling harder than needed.

Not budget plumbing at all. Came out to take a look at dripping pipe in basement. Charged 150 to do nothing.Technician took pictures and then went outside to call his boss for price. I thought that seemed shady.  Wanted to reschedule to repipe everything for just over 6 thousand dollars. Offered a temporary fix for 850. We decided to shop around and thank goodness. We were able to get someone to fix all for 650.

My 33 year old boiler finally quit last week (leaking all over the basement floor). I called Boston Budget Plumbing and they were able to come out the next day, stop the leak, and go over the options. I decided to replace my boiler and water heater with an indirect system. During the time my heat was shut off they made an extra trip to provide space heaters. Tom, Tim and co were friendly, professional, and efficient in getting the old system removed and the new boiler and water tank in place- they cleaned up after themselves and marked the new system clearly. As someone who typically avoids my basement at all costs I am no longer afraid to see what I'll find down there. Very happy with Boston Budget Pluming, highly recommend their services!

We have used Tom and his guys for many things over the past four years and been very happy with quality and price. Recently, while selling our house, the new buyer sent in their guy to look at some plumbing work because the (silly) inspector had called some things into question. The independent plumber indicated that the work that had been done by BBP was excellent. And then, in our new house, after hearing from about three general contractors that we were going to have to invest some serious money, Tom came and took a look and said it all looked great, and walked away without a dime. He could have trumped up some reason to replace some stuff, but didn't - we are loyal clients for life!

I had a problem with an installation of a product. They moved the washer and one of the hose ended loss, floating all the basement.

I called them, they were fast, profesional and fixed the problem fast. Totally recommendable.

I called Boston Budget Plumbing to install a gas range. Tom responds to phone calls quickly and is flexible with your schedule. I told Tom that they could come earlier than the original schedule appointment and they did. His guys were speedy, knowledgeable and really funny!

I contacted Budget Plumbing the week of Thanksgiving because my Lochnivar Boiler system stopped working and water heater was leaking.
Tom arrived a few days later and was very knowledgable of the system and was able to repair the boiler system and replaced the water heater tank.

Tom was professional, pleasant and very honest. he informed me of my options and allowed me to pick the best one within my budget. He explained to me what caused the system to fail and what necessary steps to take in the future to avoid the same failures.

I called Boston Budget Plumbing at 7 AM on a Sunday morning, and Tom immediately responded. He was courteous and professional, and he quickly fixed the problem. I was extremely impressed! He was also very kind and considerate. He took the time to assure me that the problem is fixed and showed me that everything is in working order. He also offered to come by again, if anything.

I had called a number of plumbing companies and was quoted high prices and long waiting times, but Boston Budget Plumbing was extremely reasonable and fast!

Needed routine water heater replacement - called Tom, he was very fast and responsive.  Scheduled the replacement - Tom called day before to confirm.  And the price quote he gave was very reasonable, better than most!

Ryan and Phat called before they left, and showed up on time.  They were friendly, fast, courteous, professional. They had to move my stacked washer and dryer out of the way. Replaced the water heater, and then put back the washer and dryer.  The price was exactly as quoted (FYI, they require full payment after service).

After they left, I ran the washer and realized it was now very wobbly - called Tom again, who immediately replied.  Ryan and Phat returned within minutes, adjusted the foot of the washer, fixed the problem.

Now the water is nice and hot.  I don't anticipate any issues, but if any arise I'll update the review.

All in all, a good, efficient experience.  I'd use them again without hesitation!

We called boston budget to install a new water heater on Monday and they sent Terry to install it on Wednesday. They would have done it Monday night but no one was home to let them do it. Great and efficient service and fast. Would definitely call them again.

Today was my first time using Boston Budget Plumbing and Heating - and they will be my plumber from now on. I called at noon today (on July 4th) for emergency service on a broken toilet. They called me back in less than 15 minutes and were at my house within the hour. Tim was so great - he was so knowledgeable, happy and did the work in less than an hour. He was running up and down the stairs and was so reassuring. The cost was so much less than I had expected (especially on a holiday). I will definitely call them for regular service as well as emergencies. Thank you Tim!!!

They did an AWSOME job installing four water heaters in my building in the South End. My phone calls were returned quickly and they showed up when they said they would. They went above and beyond the call of duty by doing extra things that were needed and still kept to the very reasonable estimate that they initally gave. They were very meticulous in their work and actually left the work area cleaner than they found it.

I highly recommend them. I will use them again in a heartbeat when I need plumbing work done.

I found Boston Budget Plumbing and Heating based on yelp reviews and called them to install a basement bathroom toilet and sink.  They came out promptly, quoted and did the work same day for a reasonable price.  The reviews were spot on. I am happy with their work and would gladly work with them again.

Woke up to a leaking 10yr old water heater and started my search for a new plumber. I have had multiple plumbing incidents over the past 5 years and I decided to try someone new. This company is by far the best I have worked with so far and I have them saved to my contacts for the future. Not only did they call me back within a half hour of my initial call, but they were able to complete the water heater replacement the same day. I had hot water again by the end of that day. Highly recommend them. Great service and quick response time.

Great service. Prompt and very reasonably priced compared to other plumbers in the area.

I had a shower issue where the water would not turn off and could not go from drain to shower mode.  I called Boston Budget Plumber and they called back within 2 hours and made it out the next day, which was great.  I called another plumber on yelp and they still have not called me back!!!  Tom from Boston Budget plumber came in (was on time and called before arriving) and within an hour found the problem.  He did not have the parts but ordered them and replaced them within a week.
All and all was great, Tom was easy and nice.  My only negative comment would be the price, it was around 415 bucks for literally 2 hours of work and some interal plastic pieces and I think this is very high.  He did state he was going to send me a check for 50 bucks but I havent seen it yet (been a week and a half).  The price is what is keeping me from a 5 star rating.

I don't remember what they did precisely , but I know that they fixed a leaking pipe near the water heater and the price, while not happily received, seemed reasonable. Some of their competitors are crazy expensive, definitely out of our price range! So, 5 stars for their quality work for a budget price! I have nothing negative to note. I am just grateful that this team saved us from major water damage!

Had a leaking trap in my kitchen sink. Based on other Yelp reviews I decided to give Boston Budget a try. The owner, Tom, was able to send someone over the next morning and Terry got it fixed quickly! Would definitely call them again for any repair work.

Tom and BOSTON Budget came within an hour of calling them for an emergency service and were able to replace my water heater and service my furnace within 12 hours of calling them! Highly recommend, fair price and better service!

Got the job done, but with frustrating timing, not especially budget, and didn't leave an easy patching job. (If you'll be doing the patching, cut the holes yourself, and if you're reasonably handy, just buy the tools and do the job yourself too.) That said, I don't know if a tidier or cheaper plumbing service.

We had Boston Budget install a new faucet for our third-floor deck. They quoted $900 to run water from our third-floor bathroom, through the interior of our closet (not in the wall or through the attic / mansard roof), to the outside; and ended up charging $550 to put the faucet in an indoor closet by the deck door.

The first person who came to give the first quote arrived the wrong day when we had cleaners in the house (though they arrived at the previously agreed-on time of day). They looked things over thoroughly, which I appreciated, including climbing in the attic. We discussed several options. They gave the high quote for an external faucet; I forgot to ask for quotes for the other options at the time.

A different team (of two) came to do the install. They arrived about 2 hours late, so I ended up spending the whole morning working from home and then helping them. They had me turn the house water supply on and off a few times rather than doing that themselves; I guess I could have insisted they do it.

There were two potential access points to the existing pipes, one closer and one where we wanted the faucet mounted; I suggested cutting by the pipes first, but they started further away and then also cut a hole by the pipes (more patch work for me). They also cut one of the holes nice and square first, and then just tore out drywall to widen the hole afterwards; and the other hole they cut flush with the molding on one side and flush with the corner on the other, again making the patch work harder than necessary.

And there were a few miscellaneous things they did that didn't feel solidly professional: didn't bring a tape measure on the first trip into the house, ran a squirt of water on my hardwood floor to demonstrate the working faucet, used one of my plant trays to catch drips inside the wall and then left it there rather than clean it up.

Bottom line? The faucet's there and it works, so it's OK in the end. But I'll try someone else next time, and (since I can use a jab saw and a pipe cutter at least) if it's a small job -- or something tricky that I want done nicely -- I'll spend the $500 on tools and the day at home just doing it myself.

Okay, so I don't know how they are as plumbers. Thrusday at 2pm they were supposed to show up, they have an important job, they say they can't, so no big deal has to wait till Monday. Monday comes it's around 2 pm Monday, so I call they are busy so they will send a different person down at 6. 7pm I call goes to voice mail, call again goes to voice mail. Around 8 they call saying they can't do it and might not get to it tomorrow and so don't think they should bother trying to reschedule. They suggest I try to do it myself or I hire a friend of theirs who is farther away. I end up getting pissed and taking a drill to my problem not caring if i crack something and ended up fixing it myself

Moral of the story get on YouTube, buy a pipe wrench and do it yourself if you can.

Finally a plumber that shows up when they say they will! I can't count the number of plumbers that I've called and said they will come on a given day and never show up. The ones that have come have quoted me one price to do the job and then want to charge more once finished or halfway through the work. Boston Budget Plumbing came when they said they would, looked at the job and gave me a price for the job with estimates of additional costs should they be needed and if I want them. They were also very tidy and quick. So glad to have a functioning bathroom again. I wish I had found them sooner.

I had water in my basement and I called Boston Budget and they called me almost immediately and were there within an hour. They were fast, fair, and extremely helpful. Ryan and his team were great, honest and fast. Would highly recommend as they saved me in a real pinch!

They fixed our big issue the toilet but wanted way too much money to simply clean the drain out of hair.  I mean $220 for a drain cleaning?

This company is awesome! All my plumbing work is done by Tom the owner. Great additude, Friendly, Quality workmanship. I've been using Tom for 10 years, he's very fair and his price is always lower than the competitors. I also have tom do my Hvac work. His quoted price was %25 less than other quotes and the job was done in one day.

I called the company on Wednesday afternoon and had my problem solved on Thursday morning. Tom responded quickly and was very detailed oriented about his work. He even put shoe booties before coming into the house. He provided a fair price and did the job in under an hour. Very happy with his service!

Super responsive and helpful providing information and quotes before the project is agreed upon. Staff who arrive are courteous and mindful of working in a home; they are clean and organized in their work. We encountered a challenge on our recent project (not caused by the staff) and they quickly suggested a remedy and the cost associated. We have used them twice and see them as our go to for plumbing issues.

I couldn't get through on their main line, so sent in a request via their website...I got a call back within 10 minutes.  And had someone at my house within 20 minutes to look at my water heater.  Unfortunately, my  tank had ran it's course, but they were able to get me a replacement that same day!  From first contact to replacement water heater, it took about less than three hours!  And the pricing was very reasonable!

one star since they showed up and snaked a plugged toilet. But beware- what was supposedly a $200 house call actually is a $430 bill for 10 minutes work. This is, in my opinion, a deceptive business practice. Do not call this company if you have an emergency.

Tim and Terry were great: prompt, efficient, courteous, and charged a fair price for a good job replacing a leaking toilet flange.  Will definitely call BBP first for all future plumbing issues.

I had two furnaces that were not working well, with the heating system not working efficiently. I called them and set up an appointment for them to come in the next morning. They came on time and offered a discount for doing a tune-up on both boilers. Not only did they fix the issues with the boilers, but they also found a serious safety problem with the chimney. These guys are experts and are good at troubleshooting! Price is a little above average, but you get expert trouble shooting and timely fixes.

Tom answered our sunday morning phone call and was at our house within the hour to replace our hot water heater. Work was done in a couple hours, efficient and professional. Will definitely come back to Tom for any needs.

We had our sump pump stop working during one of the bad storms last month and they had Terry out to us within hours of our call. They were very up front about pricing, and fair. Terry was so nice and easy to deal with. We ended up having a few more issues (related to our set up not the work done!) and every time Terry came out, was understanding and helped us out. We will definitely be using this company for any of our future needs!
