We used Mike twice at our home. The first experience was great, the second was an embarrassment to the the profession.

We had a water line leaking behind the wall in our 3 year old house. Mike showed up quickly and capped off the leaking water line. That was $200 dollars we would later find out.

Mike came back a couple of days later to tackle the leaking water line. Instead of a game plan and a scope to look inside the walls, he proceeded to cut three holes into the walls of our 3 year old home guessing where the leak might be. After the above exhibition, we decided to call it quits.

We never called MPD back to finish the job he started. I bought a scope, called a handyman and the leaking line was fixed.

Back to MPD, he happily billed us $438 for three holes. The grand total listed in our photo of the bill. And it was three holes, not two like he wrote down.

Mike did a great job converting my heat and hot water to gas.  They were quick and cleaned up the area very nicely.  He also installed an instant hot water heater for our kitchen.  It was taking 45 seconds and now we dont wait at all!

Mike has done multiple jobs for me over the years from big to small.   Some examples are replacing the boiler in my very old home, replacing a hot water heater, to hooking up a kitchen sink.  The boiler job was particularly complex and he was amazing to work with.  He's a perfectionist, knows what he's doing, and fairly priced.  Highly recommended!

Mike followed up with me after normal business hours and had me text him pictures of my very old gas stove that I was worried about. Well the stove is no longer there. It's headed to the dump. Mike capped the gas line and told me to let him know what I decide on to replace it with and that he'd be happy to come back and hook things up. Very straightforward, friendly and reasonable.
He took what I thought was a big problem and made it look easy.
Highly recommended!

I just moved to Scituate and needed a plumber to do a few things. Mike from MPD came by the same day I called (how often does that occur) and gave me a very reasonable estimate. We shook hands, he showed up when he said he would and did a great job on everything and left the property spotless. In fact, he worked more quickly than he had estimated, so the bill he handed me at the end was less than the original estimate, which just does not happen often in my experience. I would not hesitate to recommend him, and will be calling him next time I need a plumber.  Five stars.

Mike capped the gas line and told me to let him know what I decide on to replace it with and that he'd be happy to come back and hook things up. Very straightforward, friendly and reasonable.
He took what I thought was a big problem and made it look easy.

We have used Mike for the past 5 years in two separate houses.  He has done multiple jobs for us (washer/dryer hook up, ejector pump install, outdoor shower install to name a few) and he is always responsive to my calls/texts and has a quick turnaround time.  I can recall one time when my water heater started to leak.  Noticed it at 7PM on a weekend.  Mike had a new water heater dropped off the next day, installed it, and called a company to remove the broken one from my property the day after that.  Mike is the only plumber we use and would not hesitate to recommend him.

Mike was awesome, down to earth, and fair. No job too big or small, he installed a new touch faucet for us today and was in an out within an hour (despite the awkward access to the sink undercarriage).
Definitely recommend him and will use him again.

Mike has done multiple jobs for me over the years from big to small.   Some examples are replacing the boiler in my very old home, replacing a hot water heater, to hooking up a kitchen sink.  The boiler job was particularly complex and he was amazing to work with.  He's a perfectionist, knows what he's doing, and fairly priced.  Highly recommended!

Called and left a message.  Got a return call in a reasonable time from Mike.  Spoke about my needs and asked if he would be interested.  He said he was and he would call me the next day to give me a heads up that he was on the way to meet me and look over what I need.  Haven't heard from him since.  I wish people would just tell the truth rather than lie and disappoint.  If not interested just say so.

We hired MPD Plumbing to do a gas conversion at our house. I had gotten quotes from several different companies, and MPD was priced very competitively. We decided to go with them, and I'm so glad we did. They installed a new boiler, hot water heater, and kitchen range. Mike, Jamie, and the crew were always timely, professional, polite, and hard-working. We were on a tight schedule and they were able to get our job done on time and did an amazing job!  They also cleaned up every day so the site was never messy and you would never know we were having major work done. I would highly recommend MPD to anyone and will definitely be using them again in the future!
