Greg and Steve of Duplex Electric are great! I found a recommendation for them on next-door.com, and have since had them out to fix a few different issues. Both times I've called they have responded within hours to my voicemail messages and have come out that day or the next day. They first came out to replace a basement ceiling light. Through this they discovered that the switch was improperly wired. They explained clearly what the issue was, and fixed the switch and replaced the fixture quickly. The second time they came out to install two ceiling fixtures and to replace our kitchen outlets with GFCI outlets. Both times they explained to me clearly what the issues were, worked with safety precautions, arrived on time, and charged a reasonable amount. They are super professional, very knowledgeable, and on top of that were friendly with my crazy dogs - I will for sure call them the next time we need anything electrical fixed. AZ Electrical is an outstanding company to do business with. They came out to install a TV antenna at my home a while back.  AZ provided a fair price for the standard installation, however, the installation was anything but standard. Being an older home and far from the Chicago tv transmitters there was some hurdles to overcome. But AZ Electrical did the work for the price quoted (except for additional parts) even though they spent more than twice the time allocated for such a job. You don't find such character in company's these day.  They are definitely recommended.

I have just bought an old house and was following up on inspection items. Jeff got to us quickly, educated me on things and helped me to determine the importance on different issues. He did the work independently, and came back when he said he would to complete the job. I was very happy with his work and his easy helpful manner, and will be having him back to swap out light fixtures and put in an exterior outlet.

YES, I would call them again. A human answered the phone  on a holiday. Tech was here the next morning. Quality diagnosis & service, quick response, personable, dog friendly, reasonably priced.

I contacted David when my house in New Lenox was being sold and the fuse panel needed to be replace as an inspection objection from the buyers.  I contacted a few other electricians but David gave me the best price, time to complete and was very responsive with our contacts.
He showed up on time (2 days from when I called), was able to do the job on a tight timeline, but took enough time to do a clean job on the wiring.  He's professional, easy to talk with, has good communication and did a great job.  He's the kind of electrician you keep on using when projects come up.  Thanks David for the excellent work.  We ended up selling our house easily thanks to the upgraded panel.

Had a great experience with Randal Electric. I'm selling my condos in Chicago and some very minor electrical work popped up on the home inspection report. I called a few different electricians on Yelp in the area and a lot hung up on me because my request was too small for them to set an appointment. I communicated with Randy what I needed to be done and he was confident that it would be a quick and easy fix, plus he'd be able to put me down for an appointment the next morning. Eddie was my electrician who was right on time this morning. He was polite and professional and after he was finished with the breaker he even asked if he could review the home inspection report to make sure everything needing an electricians attention was covered. I appreciate honest businesses in home services. While searching for electricians I ran across CR Electric and they tried to upsell me on an entire new panel a 4-6 hour job that would have been unnecessary and over the top. Eddie was able to make the breaker safe and eliminate the double tap breaker installed by a 10+ year old alarm system company that I never used in 7 years of owning the property. I'm glad I called Randal Electric and if I need electricians for the next 4 condos about to go on the market I know who I'll be calling!

They were fantastic from start to finish. Professional demeanor, communicated with us very well throughout. They initially quoted us on the job based on my explanation and a picture but then we soon realized after they got to the job this would not work because of a brick pillar that would have been very difficult to fish wire through. They assessed the situation and gave me different options and were very fair on the price.  Cleaned up afterwards and were willing to answer all of my questions.  Thanks again to Edwin and Brian. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Homer is the hardest working man in Chicago!  Had a big branch fall on my wires and the electric company said no power until it was fixed. Asked friends for suggestions, made several calls, couldn't get anyone to take a look in a timely fashion.
I did find Homer on Yelp, and I'm happy I did.  He came out that day and walked me through all my options. The major repair was all finished within 24 hours, which even allowed us to keep what was in the fridge!
He even helped with getting the electric company to reconnect the power. I would recommend Homer and Eric to anyone.

I called HandiCo, Inc. on Tuesday and they were able to come out to our condo on Wednesday morning.  We had a leak from the condo above us and we needed someone to fix the drywall and repaint.  HandiCo, Inc. sent Julio out to our condo and he was not only the nicest guy, but he did excellent work.  After everything was completed I showed him a few things and asked him how to fix them.  Julio went ahead and hung something additional for me in the bathroom and then spackled a patch on our wall for us.  We were so happy with his work and overall how friendly he was.  I felt like I was working with my dad on the projects which made me feel comfortable.

Corey and his team installed an overhead light in my bedroom and did wonderfully. He provided me with a honest quote and came to provide the service promptly. I will definitely call Perfected Electric for future needs!

I had a lot of electrical issues in a rental property. After calling numerous electricians, all of whom never returned my call or if they did, never showed up, I finally reached out to A to Z Electric. They were very responsive, coming out immediately and resolving all of the issues in my rental property. I don't know if they were overpriced as I didn't have an opportunity for comparisons. While A to Z certainly were not cheap, they definitely were worth the money. There have been no further issues and I am very satisfied with the work done.
