Best Electricians in Chicago, IL

My fixer bought caulk for my job,  which i was billed for. He offered to go to Home Depot to buy for me. They charge a very high fee for this service so don't do that! When he finished the job he took the unused caulk with him, which I paid for. I would never use this company again for any services!!

Steve is the electrical contractor you are looking for! Quick response time, friendly, knowledgeable and cleaned up. No surprises with pricing, what he quoted was what we paid. Will definitely use him for all future project's!

Greg and Steve of Duplex Electric are great! I found a recommendation for them on next-door.com, and have since had them out to fix a few different issues. Both times I've called they have responded within hours to my voicemail messages and have come out that day or the next day. They first came out to replace a basement ceiling light. Through this they discovered that the switch was improperly wired. They explained clearly what the issue was, and fixed the switch and replaced the fixture quickly. The second time they came out to install two ceiling fixtures and to replace our kitchen outlets with GFCI outlets. Both times they explained to me clearly what the issues were, worked with safety precautions, arrived on time, and charged a reasonable amount. They are super professional, very knowledgeable, and on top of that were friendly with my crazy dogs - I will for sure call them the next time we need anything electrical fixed. I had a couple of fans put in and light fixtures for both bathrooms.
When I called for an estimate he got back to me right away. They did a great job and the price was fair. I would definitely recommend them.

Called Donatello Electric about installing a flood/security light over my garage door. They had to run a new power source since there was no fixture there before. Don returned my call promptly and we set a date to have the work done. he was able to give me a ballpark estimate without coming out to the house. (I did send him photos of the garage so he had a good idea) He sent Doug out to do the work, arrived as scheduled, and did the job perfectly, I asked Doug many questions about the process and he answered all of them with out me felling like I was bothering him while he worked. The job turned out better then  I thought as Doug was able to run the conduit with it being visible. Final cost was slightly under estimate.  Whatever electrical job I have in the future, Don will be my first call.

Extremely easy to schedule and work with! Matt arrived slightly early (which I appreciated!) and completed our ceiling light install in no more than an hour. I was nervous he would have to rip out drywall to set up the wiring, but thankfully he was able to wire and install the light without any wall damage. He was professional, friendly, and the cost was reasonable. I would definitely call Prolite again!

One stop answered my request for quote on an electrical project  super fast, was very quick to schedule an appointment, showed up on time, our techinician was extremely helpful and efficient. Pricing very reasonable and I will continue to use this company.

We have an old two flat that we bought a few years ago and it needs some work. The lights in the back stairway were not working and Jeff fixed this for us and installed a new fixture too. He also converted 2 outlets for us that the previous owners had used as 220V outlets. Jeff was professional and pleasant to work with and is an experienced electrician.. We would highly recommend him to friends/family and will use him again in the future as we address others parts of the building that need updates. Thank you Jeff!!

If there is one thing I hate, it's finding a contractor to do some work. Well, I won't have to look for an electrician again. From the very start of this process, it was top notch. Noelle and Charles are awesome to work with. Polite, professional and great communication. I wanted a ceiling fan installed, an outlet on my patio and the electric in my garage updated. Charles came out and walked the different parts of the project and gave me 3 options after pointing out other things that needed repaired or things I didn't think of. On the day the work was to be done, Charles showed up with his crew and they were a great bunch of guys. I had guys in a bedroom, guys in the basement, in the yard and in the garage. I didn't have a care in the world. They all tended to their part of the project and were very professional. When they were done, the clean up was top notch. You couldn't even tell they were there. Charles made sure I was happy with everything they did. I even threw a couple of last minute changes at them, they made them without blinking an eye. I would highly recommend Dave. Showed up for the job clean,von time and brought a mask with him. Gave a fair price and did great work. Cleaned up after the job. Was friendly and polite. I will be calling him again for any other services I need.

I called Goldstream to see if they could come out to look at some electrical issues in my house. Unfortunately, we are out of the service zone, but Matt was super helpful. He even stayed on the phone with me to explain what the electrical issue may be, answer my questions and offered suggestions on what to do. I can't speak to anything but our phone call, but I have to imagine that if you are in their service area, they are the best place to do business with.

Very professional and knowledgeable tech.    After getting a couple quotes from different companies I decided to change the electric panel and  install the ev charger with Electric Castle . Mike and Bogdan explained the process and the steps they have to do in order to get the job done. Very careful around the house, clean and outstanding job overall

Owner of the company is honest.  Did all work as expected.  His workers were puntual and professional.  Calls were returned, problems addressed quickly.  Solid contractor.

We had a potentially large electric problem with some lines from our house to our garage.  They were old, frayed and hanging low.  It was easy to set up getting a quote from Edwin though the Yelp site.  He responded very quickly and arrived on time at the appointed time.  He diagnosed the problem and provided a quote via email.  I accepted his proposal and he let me know when he was available to come and do the work.

He arrived on time, on the scheduled day.  It was a big job which included taking down the old wiring and, digging a trench and sending all new wiring out to the detached garage.  Since the home and garage are both over 100 years old, diagnosing our wiring is like a million piece jigsaw puzzle. Edwin did a great job and everything works great!  He even did a great job to not disturb the landscaping.  You can't even tell that there was a trench dug.

Highly recommend!

These guy's are great! I had called several electricians, including the people I had been using for the past three months, and could not get anyone to come out; scheduling for service was at least several days out and I needed service right away.

I looked further in Yelp and discovered Homer's, who happens to be right in Rodgers Park (don't know why I didn't find these guys earlier because I sure as hell would have used them). My previous electrician, I could never understand his pricing because it seemed as though he would never have an idea what the costs of the job was going to be until after the he finished a job, and I really hated writing checks at the end of each job.

Anyway, Homer and his partner came on the same day I called and discovered the problem I was having was so minor that they didn't charge me. Don't find that happening very often. Aside from that, they were very friendly and give me great advice. I will be using these guys moving forward.

Best company for large and small projects. Reliable. On time. Professional. Used them for large paint job and small handyman projects. No job too large or too small. If you are looking for the lowest price shop elsewhere. If you are looking for the job done right you came to the right place.
They put together an IKEA storage unit that was supposed to be easy (yeah right). They fixed a hinge on a cabinet in one minute that all my handy friends left broken for over a year. Get the picture? Just call them and get all that stuff that needs fixing over with.

Just had Bob of A-Z Electric perform a bunch of work at our single family house and we are delighted with the results!

We needed a couple of ceiling fans installed, an exterior receptacle, properly wiring of our ring camera, and behind the wall work for our television.

Bob was prompt, professional, and kept me aware of parts of the job that might not turn out how I visualized. He wore a mask and boot covers while working in the house.
