Best Electricians in Chicago, IL

After having a home inspection while in the process of selling our home, we learned that we needed to have some minor electrical work done.  I called Advantage Electric, and Mark agreed to meet me within the hour.  Just a few minutes later, our work was done!  I was very impressed with Mark's speed and work ethic.  Best electrician in the area!  We would highly recommend him and will definitely use him in the future.

Simply awesome!   By far, the best service man,  I have found!    He was very courteous and helpful and fixed the problem very quickly!    He gave me an estimate as to how much it will cost before performing his work.   No minimum charge or anything like that.    When was the last time you found an electrician (or anyone) who does not charge the minimum trip charge?

Argen did an excellent job scraping and painting my exterior window trim.  The language barrier was a bit of a challenge at first.  (I thought the paint and supplies were included as they were in other estimates I received.  That was my fault for not asking, and it cost me.)  Once he was on the job and we switched to communicating strictly by text, there were no issues.  He has a great translator app.  Besides doing a great job, he alerted me to a potential future issue without upselling the job at hand.  He was very pleasant, polite and respectful at all times

We can't provide a review of Greg's work but we can give you an idea of the type of person Greg is. All of the appliances in our kitchen went out and we couldn't fix the problem by resetting the fuse. We called Greg (based on his Yelp reviews) around 1pm and told him that we needed something done as soon as possible. He told us that he couldn't come until the next morning at 8am. We set the appointment and decided to call around to see if we could get someone to come earlier. We were able to get another electrician who had an opening a half hour later. We had the other electrician come out and decided to wait until he was done with his work before we called Greg to cancel (just in case the second electrician couldn't get the job done for some reason).

Before the second electrician was done, Greg had an opening and came to our house to see if he could help us. Since the other electrician was already working we told Greg that we didn't need him. So even though Greg didn't do work for us we felt that he went above and beyond in an effort to rectify our problem and even though we didn't use him we would highly recommend him as far as his willingness to help someone who needed him in a hurry. It turns out that we really like the second electrician (separate review to follow) and if we ever need additional electrical work we now feel that we have two very good options.

This electrical service company has extremely poor customer service. I DO NOT recommend proceeding with them.

They're technician cancelled the appointment and no accommodation was made in the service fee charge for a rescheduled appointment.

Their company was able to inconvenience me so I was without air conditioning and did not believe any accommodation should be made.
