After searching for electricians I found small tyme Electric emailed Norh and we were so happy we made the right choice. After emailing back and forth he was very understanding, Although I knew nothing about electricity. He was very patient and was accurate with the pricing. Scott called me right away when I used Yelp to get a quote. They were pretty busy but I heard every electrician was (even my plumber told me lol). So I scheduled for the nearest apptmt in about 5 wks, and I wondered if they would forget... they didn't! They called maybe the day before to check in and day of, they were punctual. I forget who came, but the guy was very efficient. He even installed an extra light fixture I had. Based on their hourly rate that they had quoted, it was exactly that. I SO value honest companies after dealing with terrible ones like Arrow Plumbing. Really, life would be so much more pleasant if some people didn't feel the need to cheat others in order to get ahead.

A Reliable Electrician

We had a long-standing problem with some puck lights. Michael Gordon from MPG Electric was the third electrician to look at these lights. He was the first one to look into every aspect of the situation. He found several technical problems with the original installation. Why the previous electricians missed the obvious, we'll never know. Michael fixed what he could with the spare parts we had lying around. Then he left with a list of replacement parts he would need to get the job done properly. A week or so later, he returned and put everything in order. For the first time, we have lights that work. I expect that they will continue to work for years in the future.

I was referred to Michael by Crest Lighting, a very reliable source. He is a properly licensed and insured electrician. He arrived on time, despite the difficult parking situation in Lincoln Park. When he finished, we were satisfied to the point that I gave Michael's business card to our property manager. We live in a 40 story high rise. A lot of us need electricians from time to time. I would recommend Michael Gordon to anyone who needs a reliable electrician

Penco Electric is fantastic.  We needed a whole home generator and we are so glad we chose them to install it.  We got multiple bids and they were the most competitive in addition to their exceptional customer service.  The installation was excellent and they went above and beyond to ensure that everything was done at 110%.  During installation there were a couple minor issues, due to my house and no fault of theirs, and they went out of their way to make sure everything was done correctly even though it cost them some additional time and expense.  I would highly recommend Pence Electric for anyone who needs a generator or generator service.

Had TY for electrical problems and found he did a great job. Decided to go back to have a yard fence built and Jaime created a fantastic fence. Will continue to use this company.

The team that showed up was professional, upfront with pricing, and got immediately to work. I have an older home and they noticed a few issues (some bigger than others) but weren't overly dramatic about them. I've found living in an older home, professionals tend to freak out whenever they're confronted by something that isn't by the modern book. They quickly fixed what I asked for and gave me straightforward advice on how to, eventually, handle the other matters. They were early but called to confirm that was okay. Overall, very good service and will absolutely recommend and use again.

We made an appointment for an estimate and nobody showed up. I called and only received voicemail and nobody returned my calls. Based upon other more positive reviews, I was disappointed in the unprofessional treatment.

The company was very prompt, gave me an accurate time frame at which they could come out.  The serviceman was very professional, let me know exactly what was wrong, and fixed it quickly.  Even called the next day to ensure that everything was working properly.  Great service, all around great experience.

Great service start to finish! We needed an outdoor outlet installed outdoors for our chicken coop. Mr. Dosie commnicated quickly through Yelp messaging and scheduled a time to come out to our house for an estimate. He was on-time, professional and courteous. He provided a no-pressure estimate for the work. We accepted the quote and Mr. Dosie made time for our small job right away knowing that the weather was about to get cold and we needed the outlet asap. He and his son came out the very next morning, completed the job quickly and eficiently. We couldn't be happier. Along the way Mr. Dosie keep up in the loop and he even called from Home Depot that morning to give me an estimate time of arrival. Support this local business and get your electrical work done right! We will be calling Mr. Dosie whenever we need electrical work done on our house.
