Best Electricians in Chicago, IL

After reading the reviews, I would have expected more.  After coming in to the house and helping resolve the problem (a minor one) he stayed around 20 minutes longer to make the total time over 1hr, and billed us more.  He also didn't want to take his shoes off when coming in the house and did not have covers for them...on a rainy day, I would expect a Yelp 5 star to have been more courteous.

On the bright side, he charged the hourly rate that he states and  he came on time.  All in all, an average experience.

I needed a chandelier and ceiling fan installed, and a discrepancy with my fuse box investigated. Getting on their books was a bit of a challenge because they're so busy, but once I did the electrician was prompt, clean, kind, and efficient... and the invoice I received was very reasonable! They emailed the invoice after the service and you can pay online, which I personally prefer and appreciate. All in all, I would absolutely recommend North Shore Electric and use them again for any future home projects!

Goran arrived on time, identified and addressed the issue while on site, and had the best rates of anyone we found in our service area. Two thumbs up!

Where do I even start - North did such a great job! I own a home that was built in 1913 and everything electrical is always a challenge.  North was able to fix a light connection that was not functioning, add lighting to the back hallway (switches were not in functioning order), and add a new switch so that we could finally use our outdoor light without having to disturb our first unit tenants.  He loves what he does and it shows.  North is a very nice guy who will try to figure out ways to save his customers money and still do an Excellent job.  Great guy, reasonable prices, excellent work!  Thank you North!

I could not recommend Scott and his crew enough!! Not only was Scott very responsive but he also did his best to get our issue resolved as fast as possible. We live in an old house and had multiple electrical issues. Eric and Conner were assigned to our project and I am thrilled with the job they did. They were on time, friendly, and professional. They answered all of my questions and explained everything they were doing. I was impressed with how thorough they were as well. They also cleaned up after themselves! I was so impressed with this team and I will absolutely call them again if I ever need electrical work!

We give Mike and MPG Electric 5 stars with no reservation. His work is thorough, accurate, neat, promptly completed at a fair price. He has done several smallish projects for us in the past few years. The most recent was installing new under-cabinet LED lights and a ceiling pendant in the kitchen -- life changing -- so bright! And the peace of mind in knowing that the job was done right.

I wanted a whole home standby generator installed and called Penco and Paul owner answered right away, always a good sign!

His manager Justin came out to give me an estimate that day and I had my generator installed 2 days later.

I have worked with many different contractors over the years and even played general contractor on my own home.  They are one of the best contractors I have ever worked with.  3 great guys work as a team to get the job done within a day. Punctual, friendly, knowledgeable and they clean up everything when they're done.

So glad I found them through Generac's website!

Chris was very responsive and flexible for appointment setup. He and Jamie came to our condo and did a ton of work within 8 hours, including a lot of painting, high ceiling curtain hanging, picture hanging, and several  fixes that were left by another contractor I hired before. They have been super friendly, listened to our needs, and provided options for us to choose. We were very happy about the final outcome, and their price was pretty competitive. One minor potential improvement area I would suggest is to arrive on time (about half an hour late today). It was not a big deal for me because in the end I really loved the style and quality of their work, but being on time would definitely make the business even better. I will choose Chris and Jamie again for any future project.

I had a problem with dimming/flickering lights and power surges that damaged several appliances/electronics so I called the electricity supplier company.  They sent someone out and then told me the problem wasn't on their end, it must be in my house and told me that I needed to call an electrician.  So I called Caval.  Their electrician came out to my house the next day and did a thorough inspection.  He determined that the problem was being caused by loose wire at the pole and not a problem in my house after all.  So I called the electric company again while he was still at my house and they tried to give me another run around.  The electrician kindly got on the phone with them and explained the problem so they could come out and fix it.  The electric company came out and fixed the wire the next day.  Thank you, Caval for going out of your way to help!  You're the best! I would totally recommend you.  5 Stars to you!!

We called for an electrical short that kept setting off the circuit breaker. After 4 days of dealing with another company that had a different story everyday. We called Sam and he solved our problem in a couple of hours for a reasonable price.
He knows his electricity very well.
I would recommend him for any electrical work needed.
He is now our go to guy.

Oscar came out to my store to fix a bad outlet, after several of my other regular electricians couldn't make it.  He was on time, called to let me know when he was on his way, was extremely polite and helpful, and explained everything to me and why he was doing it.  He also went above and beyond by helping me identify which breakers went with which part of my store, so should I need to switch one I know which is which.  I needed to get up and running as soon as possible in order to do business on a busy Saturday, and Mr. Mighty helped me do it!

I would definitely call them again if anything else goes wrong.

Ken helped me with installing conduit in a high rise unit.  This required providing extra documentation regarding insurance and certifications.  It also meant working within the building's hours and elevator availability.  Ken came to the unit for an initial estimate, provided all of the documents beforehand, followed-up with a walk through on the day before work was to be done, and then personally came to the unit as the job was being completed.  The work was completed professionally and aesthetically.  The primary installer (Darrell) was pleasant, competent, and able to modify the plan as needed.  What I appreciated most is Ken's timely responses to questions and requests for information.  He ensured no question was left unanswered.  Dosie Electric will be a goto resource for future projects.

I couldn't be happier with the service provided by this company. Tom was incredibly responsive and had his team on the job the same day I contacted them...a real blessing after all the problems I have had with my contractor. They did an exceptional job and were a joy to have in my home...even my cat loved them! They were professional, conscientious, knowledgeable, and highly skilled. I will definitely have them back and I would recommend them to anyone.
