Just Amazing, I forgot one name but Anel and his boss were simply amazing! they came in were quick, professional and got the job done! Couldn't have asked for more especially with other companies I had encountered already.

From price quote to the actual work, T&D electrical was very responsive and knowledgeable. The project we needed help with was to install three ceiling fixtures (including taking down old ones) and replacing two smoke detectors. The staff (Shaina) who helped me with price estimate and scheduling was very good at confirming what's provided vs needed. She also helped manage COI quickly as our HOA requires it for all contractor works. Rodrigo was the electrician who came to our place and did the work. He was very respectful and knowledgeable - he answered my questions patiently and helped provide some tips on replacing halogen bulbs for track lights with LED bulbs. Overall the experience working with T&D electrical was great, and I highly recommend them!

First of all, I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed I felt the need to write this one.  I needed a light switch replaced in my kitchen.  Chris responded quickly with a very fair estimate yesterday and was able to schedule an appointment for today.  Chris is professional, courteous, efficient and very reasonable with his charges.  I have already discussed having him replace some light fixtures in my house.  I highly recommend ALC Electric!

We have an old house that wasn't designed for today's electric needs. Ryan came by and gave excellent, super thorough explanations of everything going on, what would work and what would not, and was conscious of our total cost. 10/10 would recommend.

If I could give Highlights Chicago more stars I would. I had an electrical outage in half of an apartment in a building my husband and I own. My husband is very handy and could not find the short in any of the electrical lines. I looked on yelp and called several highly rated companies but none could come out for over a week. At. Highlights they made time for me at the end of the day since this was an emergency. As it turns out they finished another job early were able to fit me in earlier. Ben and Martin were knowledgeable and went right to work. They located the short in the apartment as well as looked at the electrical panel for the building and made some adjustments.
They are now my numero uno for all electrical needs. And even better ... they were extremely reasonable cost wise.

We are in the process of tearing down a house we recently purchased, and hired Rogelio at Alex Electrical to cut the main electrical line from the pole to the house, as well as remove the cable lines, the electric meter, and the electric box in the house. Rogelio was extremely knowledgeable, very responsive, professional, and got the job done in less time than the estimate. He also mentioned that his company installs outlets, light fixtures, etc. We will definitely be hiring him again in the future for any electrical needs we have. Thank you, Rogelio.

Jose and Rodney are great! We needed more electrical work than we thought, but Jose did not charge more than the original quoted price except for more equipment that was needed for some unforeseen problems that came up. Rodney did a great job painting and even did some minor covering of a small spot of ugly color on my walls. I will soon ask them to install some recessed lighting as they already explained the procedure. What a great team!

Bumping this review into 2017. Today was the third time that I used Blacklite and, as always, the job was done perfectly. Bonus points for keeping me updated on the schedule and having reasonable rates. Today, they replaced a bad switch, installed two pendants and a ceiling fixture. The pendants and the fixture are in the pictures, as well as track lights that Blacklite previously installed. They were efficient and cleaned up after themselves. They are also genuinely nice guys so it's a pleasure to work with them.

They came out, explained what they were going to do to diagnose the problem I had (no power in garage), located the issue quickly, and corrected it.  Fast, friendly, knowledgeable.  I selected them for the 5 stars on Yelp, and I am very pleased to add to the list of 5-star reviews.  I wish more interactions were like this one.  Highly recommended.

I have used Fixer twice for various jobs around my new home. I had two Fixers come each time, and each time I found the Fixers to be easygoing and pleasant to work with. However, I have found the work quality to be hit or miss (I had to have a job done by the first set of Fixers re-done by the second set of Fixers) and I struggle with the business model. Because they charge by the hour, there doesn't always seem to be a real incentive to work quickly. The second go-round, I was initially charged over $900 for, essentially, hanging towel bars, hanging pictures, and installing several plant hooks in the ceiling.

Second, most things are automated and you have to be careful about the billing process. The first time I used them I was sent a bill for a service that wasn't performed because the Fixers were running behind and ended up not being able to do the work that day. Still, I received a bill. The second time, I received a bill that was not adjusted for the picture frame one of my Fixers inadvertently broke after she hung it incorrectly. Both times, the issues were resolved after I emailed and texted with the company (phone calls don't even seem to be an option), but if I'd had a credit card on file, I assume I would have just been charged automatically, and I had to be proactive about addressing problems that weren't of my making.

I appreciate the convenience of the service and I'm willing to pay a bit more for a company that pays its people well--assuming that's what it does. But between the excessive expense and the various issues I've had with billing, workmanship, and timeliness, there won't be a third try for me. Good luck ya'll.
