I received a follow up call from Stefan today. I accepted the attempt to apologize even though he blamed the incident on a new employee. I don't believe he realizes that the cellphone # he called from was the same as Sunday and it was the same voice and tone used (minus the 4-letter words). He again offered to perform free work (which he stated on the previous review no one would ever offer such from AC/DC). I realize that the goal was not to offer a truthful apology but to ask me to remove my review. I explained that I will not remove my review because it was a truthful and accurate description of my encounter.

I understand times are hard. That is exactly why we all need to be honest with ourselves and kind to others. I will continue to wish your establishment well but I will not be contacting or recommending for any electrical needs.

After receiving a surprising jolt in my garage upon flipping the light switch, I knew I urgently needed someone to come inspect the situation. I found Sims & Sons on Yelp--they responded to my call and were at my house within 30 minutes. They found the culprit to be an exposed wire outside of the garage. Since it was snowing and nighttime, they agreed to return the next day to resolve the situation. The issue was resolved within 24 hours. No more shocks and I feel safe! Prices were fair and I was very pleased with the service. Would use them again for my electrical needs.

I agree with the other review on here. Communication is key with me (particularly that I'm in the communications field) and I felt like I understood the estimate and what was occurring during the day. Marcus was clear and included the right amount of detail for me.

The work that ended up needing to get done was a bit more than anticipated. It seems the prior owner attempted to wire the place on their own - it was kind of a mess. Marcus and one of his crew were at my home all day and spent more time than anticipated, but he stuck to his original estimate. I really appreciated the extra effort and integrity.

He also did just enough work for things to be safe and sound but didn't over-engineer the project. There's still some remaining work that can be done, and I'll definitely be calling Marcus for that job when the time comes.

For those interested in what work was done - it basically was rebalancing the circuitry in more than half of my home. It was overloaded on some circuits and under utilized on others.

Did great work at a fair price. Did exactly what he promised to. Finished the project on time. I recommend him to family members and would definitely use again.

Great experience. Very punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. We had our issues taken care of within an hour. We were very impressed.

So I just purchased a new home and having some circuit breaker issues. Found Chris on Yelp very nice guy. Very responsive. Came right out, Fix the issue under 15 minutes so I will definitely be calling him back out to finish the work, Definitely give Chris a call or give him a chance if you are having any type of issues with circuit breakers or electrical issues definitely recommend this business. I called Ryan in the early evening and within 3 hours he was at my apartment and installed an outlet.   He is knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with.

We've use Highlights Chicago for a handful of household electrical projects, moving outlets, trouble-shooting switches, installing new light boxes for canned lighting, a fan and other light fixtures. Pricing is fair. Everytime we have used them the team has been professional and courteous and has done great work. They are also very clear on what to expect and provided us with a recommendation for a contractor to help repair drywall. They always clean up after themselves and do great work. For our most recent project during the Pandemic they also all wore masks while servicing our unit. I should also note that I was really impressed that they showed up at 9AM after the city had gotten 15 inches of snow overnight, talk about reliable! I highly recommend highlights and would use them again.

I wanted to give a big thanks to Jose and Rodney for the fantastic job they did in our home! We had an entire room needing new recessed lighting where there was none before. They got the job done in a timely fashion and the result is beautiful. We also had sconces put in a wall which never had fixtures there before. Several other electricians quoted a similar price as Tweaks and Finishes, but would not do the patch and paint work for the damages done in the process; they said I would have to hire someone else to patch the holes in the wall! Jose and Rodney did it all, from installation, to patching and painting, from start to finish. No one else that I spoke to offered this complete service! These guys are a great team and are great at what they do.

I highly recommend Tweaks and Finishes for any job, big or small, and will be happy to work with them in the future!

I hired Jake and Urban Power to add two electrical meters and relocate the circuit breakers out of the garden unit to a common area so all tenants could have access to them at my 3-Flat property.  He is a master of his craft and did a great job providing solutions to the issues I presented and working efficiently on the install and relocation as well as managing the permitting process with Com-Ed.  He has deep experience working with rental properties and gave me some great insights to add value to the property including installing security lighting which I hired him to do as well.  I would highly recommend Jake and Urban Power for any electrical job big or small.

We've contacted the right person to install our chandelier and he really did a great job with it. Navel is a true professional! He even gave us a box that didn't come with the light fixtures that we bought at no added cost. Plus, the discount of $129 really helped us save money. The lighting fixtures are working perfectly!

He was also on time and very polite by putting on some cover for his shoes before entering our home. We were very impressed and will definitely call him again if we needed more help in the future!  Thank you so much!!! Our chandelier looks beautiful!

Absolutely great company to deal with from initial quote, consultation, customer service and installation point of view. The entire team was a pleasure to deal with, and communicated throughout the process for install, permits, and inspections. We had some new power sockets installed for our laundry area and the job was very neat and smooth. Would highly recommend and will be working with Kinetic again in the future!

Very responsive and responsible. Alex tried to help us trouble shoot over the phone to save us money. When that didn't work he showed up promptly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the bad breaker.

I scheduled an appointment with Fixer for 4 pm on a Friday. I had to leave work early and drive through Friday traffic to make it on time. At 4:15 I contacted fixer and asked where my fixer was? They apologized and said that my fixer wasn't coming but that they could send another fixer at 5:30. I agreed, but had other errands to run in the meantime which meant I had to hustle through Friday traffic yet again to make it on time for the 5:30 appointment. I got there on time for 5:30.
At about 5:45 I contacted fixer and asked where my fixer was. Fixer told me, for the second time in the same day, that my fixer wasn't coming. Fixer then had the audacity to ask me if I would like to reschedule. This company is completely unreliable and unprofessional.
