I texted back and forth with Darrell and in a few days, I had Enis come out to do the job. He was extremely on time, professional, and wore a mask.

I was selling my condo and the home inspector found that my fuse box had corrosion on some of the fuses and what looked like rust on the bottom of the fuse box itself. I called around and got some quotes for the worst case scenario of replacing the entire fuse box. Marcus was up front that it would be very expensive to replace the whole box but he wanted to look at it before he quoted me. He came over and told me that all it was was dirt on the bottom of the fuse box. He whipped it down real quick and replaced the corroded old fuses. In and out, the job was down in less than hour and that included running up to the nearest part store to get the fuses. He charged me just the hour and the cost of the fuses, extremely fair. Highly recommend T&D!

Over the weekend a pretty rough storm came through and worked a number on my front porch light causing a short to occur and loss of electric through the entire upstairs of my home. After ruling out a blown fuse, immediately, I was concerned about the safety of my home and what costs might be associated with this type of repair.  But unfortunately, it was a Saturday and I knew it might be difficult to have someone come out right away without it costing me an arm and a leg.  After doing a search, I was lucky enough to have found Greenline Electric, Edward answered the phone, put my concerns at ease and within an hour was at my home, with an assistant, and ready to evaluate and take care of the issue. A couple of years back, I had the worst customer service with an electricity company and ended up contacting Highlights Chicago as an afterthought. I ALWAYS THINK ABOUT HOW I LUCKED OUT WITH THAT! Thank goodness for terrible service because I don't think I would've kept going down my list of contractors to call Highlights Chicago. I have consistently been hiring Highlights Chicago ever since. I'm no longer on the condo board, but when I needed an electrical job done on my own dime, I insisted on hiring them.

Even when my insurance company contacted me with a deductible rate and getting estimates from a few companies, I contacted one! I didn't get a response for a couple of days, so I blew up their phone calling and left a message. I didn't care what anybody else's estimate I was. I have hired them at least four times and know I can count on their work. (I've worked with at least five different guys. There was one guy who was a little snippy but did a good job on electric work. I asked for him to not return, but 99% of the time, I like the rest and would be happy to see them again.)

I didn't know the two guys who were at my front door this time though. I felt bad because I'd stopped to grab something to eat while running errands and was about 15 minutes late for their pickup window. Jogging back with my dog, I was relieved that they didn't leave. Both guys (my apologies because although one of them nailed my name, I forgot to ask for theirs) were informative, polite, professional, worked quickly and both helped me carry out the items that were removed. When I bluntly asked whether it was worth replacing the items or removing them, their answer was in alignment with safety versus just making more money. THAT WOULD MAKE ME HIRE HC EVEN QUICKER and request those two guys again.

And as is ALWAYS the case, Kemal was there to help me through service and pricing the whole time. Love this team. Can't say enough kind things about them. And they were half the price of my deductible, so money was saved and the insurance claim wasn't needed. Win win!

We are in the process of tearing down a house we recently purchased, and hired Rogelio at Alex Electrical to cut the main electrical line from the pole to the house, as well as remove the cable lines, the electric meter, and the electric box in the house. Rogelio was extremely knowledgeable, very responsive, professional, and got the job done in less time than the estimate. He also mentioned that his company installs outlets, light fixtures, etc. We will definitely be hiring him again in the future for any electrical needs we have. Thank you, Rogelio.

These guys are great! They were referred to us and they are great for all kinds of jobs. We originally used them for various electrical work such as changing and updating electrical boxes, to light fixtures, to moving, replacing and rerouting outlets and switches. We were looking to knock out a wall in our kitchen and we had called them for the electrical part of it and turns out they were able to do the carpentry work as well!!  We had them come and see the space and they were very respectful of our belongings. Covered everything super nicely and helped us move some of the things they were afraid could possibly get damaged. Very trust worthy, we left them alone in our home for 90% of the project, and they cleaned up after every time they came. They did a nice job painting the living room as well and all for a great price!! I would definitely recommend them!!

Jake came to fix an electrical issue on our rooftop. He was able to quickly identify the problem and address it. He was very friendly and reasonably priced. I definitely recommend!

From the beginning, the scheduling with Blacklite was excellent, the arrival time was right on target, and then when Johnny arrived were were very pleased. Johnny worked in our home installing new outlets, repairing light socket issues and giving us recommendations for minor electrical issues we were having. All the work was done quickly and without any issues and he did answer some additional questions we had for future projects.

Blacklite was very professional and also took all of the COVID-19 precautions very seriously. We appreciate that very much and look forward to working with them again! Thank you for the awesome experience!

We turned to Kinetic Energy a couple years ago on the recommendation of a neighbor, after another electrician did some inadequate work.  They're now the only electricians we'll work with.  They have installed lights and ceiling fans and wired our 1914 house for ethernet.  

Recently we had a couple scary incidents with the old cloth-covered wires... what seemed like shorts in two different spots in the house.  They showed up same-day to fix everything, and took extra time to explain to us what had happened.  It's a relief to know we're safe in our house!

A++ in all aspects. I had great pleasure to hire Tom's company for our house project. The project included multiple rooms. Complete Bath and kitchen electrical renovation. Two bathrooms received outlets, switches, can lights and fans. The kitchen received  new can lights and outlets. Living room got new can lights. We also added wired smoke detectors throughout the house. Tom was a total professional when he came in for the estimate. Everything was explained so that there were no surprises any time during the project and he made sure that we understood the work that was going to take place. Prices were very competitive, and work was done in the time promised. Tom made sure that everything was done right, to code and left everything clean and spotless. I would definitely hire again. Highly recommended.

Alex responded to my posting quickly, was clear on costs, and came out at 8am the following day as promised. I gave wrong information on parts and he was ready with solutions to salvage the job and gave great advice. Would definitely hire again.

Had several small jobs I needed completed, two of which I was uncomfortable tackling myself.  Fixer was extremely responsive.  They had a higher base rate, but didn't charge for parking and materials they didn't end up having to use.  They ended up being cheaper than some of the other estimates.  Satisfied with the work of all jobs completed, if I had a note it would be to make sure all their repair people have booties or other acceptable alternatives to working indoors.  Bare feet or dirty boots are not really appreciated when all the work is indoors.
