Showed up on time, worked hard and fast, charged me a fixed rate, and when a wrinkle emerged (turns out the job needed to run a new wire/breaker), Stefan called a colleague who lives nearby who joined him and got it done quickly and efficiently. He stayed masked throughout, and was unfailingly polite. Will most definitely work with them again!

Needed garbage disposal totally replaced. Darrell was outstanding, fair and honest. Zeno came out and was off the hook great. Could not have been a better experience. Even got a few tips about how to prolong the life of my new disposal. For plumbing and electric, these guys are the only ones I will be calling in the future. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Marcus and his crew are terrific.  The work they have done for my place is outstanding and more importantly, they are professional, accommodating and fairly priced.  After speaking with several other electrical contractors regarding certain work that needed to be done to a building recently purchased in the city, I was confident T&D would provide the overall solution to what needed to be accomplished.  It is very rare to find companies such as this these days.  Very happy with my decision and more importantly, with the work that was completed.

Had a great experience with Ted wiring and installing two new ceiling fans. We needed to install the fans in rooms which did not have an electrical box in the ceiling. Ted came fully prepared on time and got the job done.  Ted explained what he was going to do and made it happen.  Will definitely call again when the next project comes around.

Joe was responsive, on time, fixed the problem quickly and for a fair price. Can't ask for more than that. When he left I was confident the job had been done correctly.

Christian was responsive and professional. He fixed the issue quickly and within 24 hours of requesting the quote on Yelp.

Edward was awesome! He was very helpful and answered all of my questions. Very communicative! He and his team installed five pot lights and a second switch in our hallway. They did a wonderful job and was incredibly efficient. We love our new lights!

Ryan is very professional, thorough, and provided excellent service.  He replaced a very old chandelier and three way switches.  He explained everything fully, quick and cleaned up afterward.  I'll be going to Ryan for all my future electrical needs.

Steer Clear. This is not a legitimate electrical company. Gave me an estimate and did the electrical work for an EV charger in our condo building. Even though building management didn't request City of Chicago license initially, they checked for it later (it can be asked for at any time) and this company is not licensed in the City of Chicago and its illegal to do residential work without it. The job was done completely wrong and he almost blew the sump pump and electrical to entire building by connecting to a panel inexplicably and was told not to. Installed wiring that was bent and broken and taped together which could have caused shocks and burning. New contractor easily installed it - no bends or breaks. The wall outlet installed was open and exposed, and if water dripped to it could electrocute people. Sloppy, cut corners, dangerous, illegal and not up to code. Absolute garbage, rushed work. Refused to get City of Chicago license and come fix job. We will be pursuing our money back. This is an illegitimate electrical company. Avoid at all costs.

Addendum to review:

Right, I'm not an electrician , but here are couple facts that a real electrician should have known and done, that found out about your job.

You were told by the building engineer to use the 480/277 volt panel because 208/120 was already at the capacity.

You just plainly ignored that and proceeded with your version. Maybe you don't know the difference between two.

You ran 208/ 120 wires through 480/277 panel which was a huge code violation and a human life safety issue.

And that's not all:

Then you spliced those wires inside that panel multiple times -- code violation.

You then decided to use lightning contractor conduit to run the wires and overfill that conduit -- code violation.

You installed the breaker at the wrong panel (which was at capacity) so you overloaded that panel.

The wire was badly scraped

You removed pipe straps and made the electrical conduit loose -- code violation.

J boxes that you installed were unsecured and loose with knock outs missing -- code violation

I'm still waiting on the city of Chicago electrical registration paperwork  from you.

A qualified electrician would know right away that he is working with 480/277 volts and would have informed me that i needed a step down transformer in order for the EV charger to work!

On top things you have charged me over $2K for 2 J boxes and a roll of #6 wire, which costs $600 at the most. The piping was already 97% there , so what took you so long.

It took a qualified electrician a total of 8 hours to remove the faulty work and install everything from scratch including installing the transformer.

We'll happily accept a refund to settle this matter

Jose and Rodney were absolutely great to work with. Not only did they do an amazing job, but it was all for a great price. They were tasked with replacing our track lighting with recessed lights, as well as, patching any holes and repainting our entire ceiling. We are beyond satisfied with their work and would recommend them to anyone who needed any sort of electrical or painting work done.

Had an awesome experience with Jake. I got into some trouble trying to swap out a light fixture and created a bit of a wiring mess for myself that he was able to skillfully clean up. He was able to go pop out and buy a replacement light fixture that would fit my junction box and install that too. While he was at my house he added a plug to a closet that we had been wanting installed since we moved in. Super efficient work, very pleasant interactions, reasonable pricing- I will definitely be calling Jake up again for future work.

The condo that we were contracted to purchase had some electrical issues to sort out prior to closing, so I contacted Blacklite.  I sent Neville the inspection report and he gave me a ballpark estimate on the work to be done.  The previous owner paid for the work and, since we had yet to take ownership, I was not present during the work.  However, Neville kept me informed as to what was done, how it was done and when.  The work is warrantied as well.  Neville was great to deal with and Blacklite will be our go-to contractor should we need more electrical work done.

I needed a ceiling fan and light fixture replaced. The fan I was installing was unique and unusually heavy. Julio was the technician that came to my home. He had great attention to detail. Any adjustment he needed to make he informed me of prior to receive authorization. He was very respectful of my home, wore shoe covers, and protected the furniture. He expertly installed both fixtures and cleaned up all work areas before he left. I highly recommend and would use this company again.

Tom installed a Tesla rapid charger in our garage yesterday. He did this with professionalism and expertise. I will hire him again for future electrical needs.

Frank is very professional.  Showed up when he said he would, explained what he was doing, and even provided a lower price than what he first quoted.  I will definitely call him again for any electrical job.  Highly recommend!

Very responsive and responsible. Alex tried to help us trouble shoot over the phone to save us money. When that didn't work he showed up promptly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the bad breaker.

They cancelled twice in one day via text after the scheduled arrival time, wasting my day off from work. The finally showed up on the 3rd scheduled time, did a pretty good job on the door install, after they left I noticed the randomly screwed a glide into the floor. The glide was supposed to go under the door to keep it in place per the instructions. They decided it would be good to place it in the door opening where you can easily stub your toe. Now I need to remove it and figure out how to patch the holes that they drilled into the floor.
