A+ work on my condo! We had some wiring issues and our lights in our kitchen would never turn on fully. We reached out to AC/DC and they responded in a timely manner and were also very friendly. You can tell they are trying to save you money, while fixing the issues and aren't like companies that are just looking for a quick buck. They fixed our kitchen wiring and now I can see while I'm cooking again! They also looked at a few things in the bathroom while they were here and were looking forward to having them come back. I was in search of someone to help with a EV charging setup in my garage. After a friend installed an outlet I wanted to have peace of mind in double checking. Daryl the owner and his brother came out for an estimate and ended up just taking the time to fix it right there on the spot. They were friendly, informative and took the time impromptu to make sure I had a solution right then and there. Everything has been working great since and I will highly recommend.

Hmmm I am a little baffled by the many 5 star reviews.  After calling about 8 electricians, T&D Electrical was the first who had availability within a reasonable amount of time.  Upon making my appointment they gave me a verbal quote said they would send an email confirmation.  Never did.  I called back to confirm my appointment and ask that they send the quote in writing via email, to which they said they would.  Never did.   Appointment day comes and they called me 2 hours prior to my appointment to say they were on their way.  OK, fine, better early than late I guess.  Two men show up, one of whom seems to be more of an apprentice and there to learn/hand over tools, etc.  They resolved the problem in exactly an hour.  The guy writes out the bill and it is about 3 times what I expected, so I ask him to break it down for me.   He then said it was for 1.5 hours of work and 2 men at $X per hour.   The fact that I was being charged for 2 men was ridiculous as one literally just stood there and handed over approximately 2 tools.  I know what a screwdriver looks like, I could have done that. Luckily I showed him that his arrival time, based on his phone call and the time of completion, made it only an hour of work, so he adjusted the time. But I still had to pay for 2 men, for what was really a one man job.  So if you do decide to choose them, ask how many men and get that in writing, otherwise be prepared to pay up.

I called on a Monday and left a message for Ted, 48 hours later I have yet to get a text or a callback.

He is the person to call for quick and easy fixes - he says he specializes in service calls (installing light fixtures, troubleshooting things around your house). Definitely give him a call, he'll take care of your project quickly and professionally.

Installed 2 outdoor outlet boxes on rooftop deck. Excellent work. Clean and paid attention to the details. Highly recommend.

My husband Tony contacted Ryan yesterday regarding a partial power outage at my mother's home the night before. Tony met him there and he checked the electrical service box. The company was very responsive. Their electrician, Ben, arrived on time and installed five light fixtures very quickly. Ben also inspected the panel and fixed some issues he found. When he left, the took all the used fixtures and left the place pristine. Overall, great company to work with and their professionals are great. Will call them again if I ever need an electrician.

We are in the process of tearing down a house we recently purchased, and hired Rogelio at Alex Electrical to cut the main electrical line from the pole to the house, as well as remove the cable lines, the electric meter, and the electric box in the house. Rogelio was extremely knowledgeable, very responsive, professional, and got the job done in less time than the estimate. He also mentioned that his company installs outlets, light fixtures, etc. We will definitely be hiring him again in the future for any electrical needs we have. Thank you, Rogelio.

Rodney and his team did a wonderful job painting our entire condo! The walls needed painting and caulking in some spots and now the walls look brand new. They were very clear about communication, responsive, and reliable. They also painted everything more quickly than expected, which was great! They covered all of our things nicely and I love how our walls look now! They are also covid-safe. I am so happy we went with them and would definitely hire them again for future painting needs.

Needed a Tesla wall charger installed in our garage.  Jake showed up on time and offered a few different options with full explanation of each.

Once we agreed on scope and price he went to work.  You could tell he has installed a ton of these.   Job was completed in a timely manner and he left the area cleaner than when he started.  

Charger has been used daily for a few months now without issue.  Would recommend.

I called Neville this morning (holiday weekend) and he was over here within an hour or two.  Very friendly and informative.  He gave me some tips on future work I should be able to handle myself.  I highly recommend Blacklite Electric!

I had a problem that two other local electric companies couldn't fix - pulling wire up to a second floor laundry to turn a 20 amp outlet into a 30 amp outlet.  Well, one of them wanted to charge a small fortune to attempt it, and another said he didn't think it could be done.  Carlos came out with a helper, looked things over, and had me fixed up the same day.  He stopped by later with two cover plates to choose from, which he didn't even have to do, in my opinion.  Was super professional and friendly the whole time.  And the price I paid was reasonable.  

So it's not like I hope I have future electrical problems or anything, but if I do I'm never calling anyone else as long as I live in River Forest.

Honest, transparent about costs, and delivered excellent work on time for installing an electric car charger. He looked up specs on the car company website, going the extra mile to ensure he did the best work.

Ted changed out fixtures throughout our house, including a difficult chandelier in our dining room. He also fixed a hot outlet and looked at our garage electrical. He was on time, fairly priced, and did great work. We'll be using him again.

Very responsive and responsible. Alex tried to help us trouble shoot over the phone to save us money. When that didn't work he showed up promptly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the bad breaker.

This is a great handyman service - I had a leaking toilet that they came out to fix. 8 months later, the problem recurred, and I was dreading paying for someone come out again. I spoke with Fixer and they were happy to do a follow-up repair free of charge. Really quality customer service!
