Stefan was at my house less than 30 minutes after I contacted him, and had the whole issue figured out and fixed in under an hour. Highly recommended!

I had both a minor electrical problem which needed a dimmer switch replaced and then a loose pipe which needed an evaluation as to the appropriate remedy. Sims and Sons  responded to me immediately and within 24 hours sent a knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful technician. Anel, the electrician, was courteous, arrived on time, and fixed my dimmer switch within minutes.

They were great! I asked for an early appointment and they scheduled me for 7 am....guess what? They were actually there at 7 - none of these 5 hour windows I hate so much. The technicians were very polite, very professional.  And, they were done quickly - I actually made it to work on time! The price was more than fair, and I'm thrilled to have my power back. Highly recommend!

I called Ted on a Friday afternoon. Fortunately, he was available .  He was knowledgeable, honest and his his price was very fair.  I would highly recommend.

Joe is fantastic!  Joe did all this at our 80 year old house:
- replaced old ceiling fan with new ceiling fan/light fixture
- removed old track lighting and replaced with pendant lights
- installed chandelier
- installed can light and overhead light in kitchen
- replaced/repaired switches

Joe knows what he is doing and offered suggestions to improve our lighting ideas.  He dealt with the quirky wiring in our old house.  He was very responsive and worked quickly and cleanly.  Joe's prices are fair and reasonable.

I highly recommend Joe and will call him again if we have future electrical needs.

Chris is very responsive, honest and good at what he does. He is the person to call for quick and easy fixes - he says he specializes in service calls (installing light fixtures, troubleshooting things around your house). Definitely give him a call, he'll take care of your project quickly and professionally.

We have an old house that wasn't designed for today's electric needs. Ryan came by and gave excellent, super thorough explanations of everything going on, what would work and what would not, and was conscious of our total cost. 10/10 would recommend.

Have used Highlights several times over the past 12 months and every time they are effective and efficient. Most recently in December Kaplan and Cris were great at installing a new garage fan and light and even took down and boxed up the old one. Rogelio did a good job on our building. Repaired some outlets, in the apartment, garage, and outside of the building. He shared photos of his progress. We talk over the phone to clarify details and got a quote on the spot for additional work that was necessary and was finished the same day after getting the parts needed.
He is also bilingual, what helps communicating easier for a larger population group.
All good overall.

Recently used Urban Power to have third panel installed at my 2 flat in Logan Square and the needed infrastructure installed to house a new third meter.  I found Jake to be easy to work with. I feel all work was completed satisfactorily and in a timely manner.  I also felt the pricing was fair compared to other quotes I received.  I felt some of the other quotes I received, the companies were trying to over sell me.  Jake quoted the proper materials need to get the job done.  I would gladly use Jake again in the future and recommend him.

Fast response and great service.  Johnny and Josh fixed my track lighting and living room can light issues in short order.  I'm a fan.

We hired Ted and his crew to run electric underneath two lawns to re-power alley facing garages on two properties.  Ted responded by providing a fair estimate, getting the permits from the Village, and getting the work completed, correctly and speedily.  Overall, I was very impressed with Ted's knowledge and work ethic.  He did a fantastic job and I would recommend him to just about anyone.

Could not recommend a better electrician!

I had a desire to install ceiling recessed lights and ceiling fans in a few rooms for some time. After doing some research on Yelp, I found Tom and gave him a call. We were able to set up a in-person consultation soon after, where he walked me through the options for recessed LED lights (4in vs 6in) and spacing of said lights. We agreed on an overall plan and start date.

During the project, Tom and his men were timely, clean, and very efficient in their work. They carefully calculated and marked out the placement of the lights and fan on the ceiling in each room for my approval before starting to cut into the drywall. In the end, they had to cut into a surprisingly small amount of the drywall to put everything together. In the two places in each room that they did have to open up the wall, they carefully replaced the drywall, saving me from having to make any large patches before repainting.

I wanted to use a particular smart dimming switch (Brilliant), but it was backordered and did not arrive in time. Tom hooked up everything using temporary switches and came back later to finish the job once they arrived.

Overall, I would definitely use Tom and his men again! I have a couple other projects around the house I've been thinking of (electric car charger, exterior light, replacing track lighting with more recessed lights, etc.) and plan to use Tom for these projects in the future!

Ted changed out fixtures throughout our house, including a difficult chandelier in our dining room. He also fixed a hot outlet and looked at our garage electrical. He was on time, fairly priced, and did great work. We'll be using him again.

Alex responded to my posting quickly, was clear on costs, and came out at 8am the following day as promised. I gave wrong information on parts and he was ready with solutions to salvage the job and gave great advice. Would definitely hire again.

Fixed the issue -- it wasn't a straightforward one and the original fixer didn't hesitate to call in some help. The whole experience was fairly priced, open throughout the process, and produced great results.
