I cannot say enough AMAZING things about Stefan and the work he does. 100% WOULD RECOMMEND! We recently moved into a new home in the Lakeview area and needed quite a bit of electrical work done - moving a chandelier (in our main living/dining area) and several other fixtures (both inside and outside) as well as pulling a new 220V line to our roof deck. Given the chandelier was located in such a central area, I was nervous to work with someone whose craftmanship I had not seen before - but it was pristine! You would never know the ceiling was cut into and the fixture moved several feet because Stefan is so talented. Additionally, Stefan made a late-night house call for us to fix an issue we had with an appliance on our roof and stayed until the issue was completed, even in the dark and freezing cold, just to make sure the issue was truly fixed and we weren't left in a bind. He's a great guy to work with, is very prompt/easy to schedule, and I'd trust him with any job! We've referred him to several of our neighbors and they all have had excellent experiences as well.

I've had the privilege of working with Sims for two projects in one week. First of all, they're incredibly responsive. Showed up within an hour in one case. We had an electrical issue in one case, and then a few days later, a major plumbing issue. I contacted them in the evening, we talked over the issue by consulting photos and then they came the next day to fix it. All around terrific.

I had a great experience with T&D. We scheduled over email and they were very responsive and clear in what was needed for a quote. I had a
Chandelier hung, a ceiling fan replaced and a new ceiling fan installed. The work was done very well and efficiently and coincided with the expected quote.  I would absolutely use them again.

Outstanding father and son duo. Arrived early, got right to work, respected our home, found the problem and completed the work in a little over an hour. /the price was right for the work he had to do and we now have a fixed attic fan!!! Can't say enough good about Ted and his son. They are wonderful.

Joe was awesome! On time, friendly and extremely efficient. He replaced 5 overhead chandeliers and installed 4 dimmer switches in 2.5 hours. We will call him again for sure and would highly recommend his services.

Chris was AMAZING! He was super reliable and took such great care in my forever home. He has come back twice and each time he has exceeded my expectations and I've already given his info to many friends who could use some electrical work. He hung 3  huge chandeliers with care and even made one work that didn't come with the parts needed from the manufacturer. He then hung an additional 6 other lights and even changed all my lightbulbs so they matched in color!

He also came back and hung two tvs for me the second visit which I can assure you will not be his last!

I live in a real old house in Oak Park, tried to replace the possibly just as old light fixture on the porch myself and ran into a lot of rust and stripped wires and stuff I was not expecting so I knew I needed professional help. Edward at Greenline had Esteban out here in just a couple of days (would've been even sooner if I was available) and the job took 15 minutes and it looks great!

While trying to install a new lighting fixture in the basement of our 1920s home, we encountered some truly baffling issues that, among other things, affected the outlets in our living room upstairs. After trying to troubleshoot the issue every way we knew how, we consulted Yelp to see if there was an electrician nearby who might be able to sort things out for us.

After reading the glowing reviews of Ryan Electrical Power and Lighting, it was an easy decision. Ryan responded to my request almost immediately and was at our home in Oak Park within an hour.

As we expected, our electrical issues weren't exactly straightforward but Ryan took his time to locate and remedy the problem and, in the process, eased our concerns about the safety and longevity of our wiring.

Ryan was extremely professional and courteous (he chatted with my dad and explained everything he was doing every step of the way so we know what to be on the lookout for in the future) and his rates were really fair. (When we inquired about the possibility of installing our new Nest Thermostat, he even recommended that we just call an HVAC professional who would probably charge us less!)

While we hope we don't have any electrical/wiring issues in the near future, we most certainly will call Ryan first if anything comes up!

Highlights Chicago is the highlight of my week. Everyone on the team (Boz, Jimmy, Kamal) is wonderful over phone, text, and in person. We were able to easily secure an appointment for an issue in our home. Jimmy came out, did a great job diagnosing the problem and, with a small side trip to Home Depot, was able to fix it for us at a very reasonable rate.

They are great at their work. They're nice people, too. Unlike the series finale of Game of Thrones, they do not disappoint. I fully recommend them and will work with them whenever we need an electrician. Thanks!

I wanted to give a big thanks to Jose and Rodney for the fantastic job they did in our home! We had an entire room needing new recessed lighting where there was none before. They got the job done in a timely fashion and the result is beautiful. We also had sconces put in a wall which never had fixtures there before. Several other electricians quoted a similar price as Tweaks and Finishes, but would not do the patch and paint work for the damages done in the process; they said I would have to hire someone else to patch the holes in the wall! Jose and Rodney did it all, from installation, to patching and painting, from start to finish. No one else that I spoke to offered this complete service! These guys are a great team and are great at what they do.

I highly recommend Tweaks and Finishes for any job, big or small, and will be happy to work with them in the future!

Recently used Urban Power to have third panel installed at my 2 flat in Logan Square and the needed infrastructure installed to house a new third meter.  I found Jake to be easy to work with. I feel all work was completed satisfactorily and in a timely manner.  I also felt the pricing was fair compared to other quotes I received.  I felt some of the other quotes I received, the companies were trying to over sell me.  Jake quoted the proper materials need to get the job done.  I would gladly use Jake again in the future and recommend him.

Blacklite is responsive, communicative, priced fairly, and I would recommend them in a second.

I had a smell of burning plastic coming from my ceiling fan in the master bedroom that was so strong I had to turn off the power to the bedroom via circuit-breaker.  Naturally, any burning smell coming from something electrical was cause for alarm and I jumped on Yelp to find an electrician.  

Blacklite immediately jumped out due to close proximity and positive reviews.  I requested a quote on Yelp and called the number to leave a message.  To my surprise, Neville (owner) got back to me in less than an hour and this was around 9pm on a  weekday, mind you.  He said he could have someone out as early as the next day in the afternoon.  Due to work I wasn't able to take the afternoon appointment, but Neville was quick to accommodate me and was able to squeeze in an evening appointment.  

Johnny was the electrician that showed up and he was polite, professional, and quick to get the work done (which ended up being a necessary replacement of the ceiling fan/lighting unit due to the plastic wiring harness melting).  

Blacklite had several payment methods making paying the bill a breeze.

I would definitely use them again.

Great people and great work!   I had a kind of emergency situation to replace the 50 year old electrical service in my 101 year old Oak Park house - new panel plus outside work - at the end of January 2016.  I am so glad I found Kinetic!  Ted is very fair and honest and the crew is wonderful.  They even liked my piano playing :)   Highly recommended.

Honest, transparent about costs, and delivered excellent work on time for installing an electric car charger. He looked up specs on the car company website, going the extra mile to ensure he did the best work.

Ted changed out fixtures throughout our house, including a difficult chandelier in our dining room. He also fixed a hot outlet and looked at our garage electrical. He was on time, fairly priced, and did great work. We'll be using him again.

Very responsive and responsible. Alex tried to help us trouble shoot over the phone to save us money. When that didn't work he showed up promptly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the bad breaker.

I have used Fixer twice for various jobs around my new home. I had two Fixers come each time, and each time I found the Fixers to be easygoing and pleasant to work with. However, I have found the work quality to be hit or miss (I had to have a job done by the first set of Fixers re-done by the second set of Fixers) and I struggle with the business model. Because they charge by the hour, there doesn't always seem to be a real incentive to work quickly. The second go-round, I was initially charged over $900 for, essentially, hanging towel bars, hanging pictures, and installing several plant hooks in the ceiling.

Second, most things are automated and you have to be careful about the billing process. The first time I used them I was sent a bill for a service that wasn't performed because the Fixers were running behind and ended up not being able to do the work that day. Still, I received a bill. The second time, I received a bill that was not adjusted for the picture frame one of my Fixers inadvertently broke after she hung it incorrectly. Both times, the issues were resolved after I emailed and texted with the company (phone calls don't even seem to be an option), but if I'd had a credit card on file, I assume I would have just been charged automatically, and I had to be proactive about addressing problems that weren't of my making.

I appreciate the convenience of the service and I'm willing to pay a bit more for a company that pays its people well--assuming that's what it does. But between the excessive expense and the various issues I've had with billing, workmanship, and timeliness, there won't be a third try for me. Good luck ya'll.
