I needed a couple things done. I had a GFI that kept breaking. AC/DC was prompt and replaced the GFI with a heavy duty one and voila no problems since!!

Additionally I wanted a smart doorbell installed and they did a fantastic job snaking the low voltage wire to get the electricity to the doorbell so you can't see it!!

I'm very pleased on both jobs!!

I am doing a total bath/laundry room reno that involves adding multiple sinks, adding light fixtures, moving all conduit and plumbing in a wall, moving outlets, new shower valve, new washer pan, dryer outlet, etc.  First, the company's website asks you to fill out a form describing your job, then just tells you to call their number to describe it again and schedule an estimate, which seemed like a waste of time.  But I called, and Darrell told me he'd get in touch with me Thursday to schedule a visit on Friday.  Finally at 9:30pm on Thursday he told me he'd be there between 2:30-3:30 on Friday.  Friday I took time off work and waited, finally texting him at 3:48 to ask if he was still coming.  He responded that he was on the way.  At 4:28 I asked for an ETA, and he told me he was behind and no longer coming, and when he'd said he was on the way he'd thought I was someone else.  After taking time off work and waiting two hours, I was pretty upset, but still politely told him that I would've appreciated a heads up earlier that he wasn't coming instead of making me sit there waiting for two hours.  Obviously if I hadn't texted him he had no intention of ever reaching out to me to let me know, and he has absolutely zero regard for a potential customer's time.  But instead of being apologetic, he was demeaning and insulting, saying I can send you a $5 Starbucks card as an apology.  Comes across as *extremely* childish and unprofessional, when you have blown someone off, wasted their time, and cost them money taking time off work, to dismissively offer them $5.  I would even understand if I was wasting his time asking for a light bulb to be changed, but this was a relatively big job.  My architect told me some contractors are sexist and probably treated me that disrespectfully because I'm a woman, but it's also possible Darrell is just that rude to everyone.  Based on his reviews that seem to be mostly about changing light fixtures or fixing leaks, I also wonder if his team is just not equipped for a job of this size so he blew it off, but it also would have been polite to simply say that up front instead of scheduling a consult he had no intention of showing up for.

Definitely not someone I would trust to show up for a job, do it competently, or treat me and my home with respect.

(And just in case he attempts to claim the offer of a $5 Starbucks card was not an insult but an attempt at a sincere apology and simply the best he can afford, he obviously never sent one, lol.)

Edit in response to his reply:  1) Weird that you claim a total remodel is small for you but all your reviews are for replacing light fixtures. 2) Yes we all have bad days, but it still takes under a minute to let a customer know you are having a bad day and won't make it. We could've rescheduled if you'd had the respect to do that. Please explain why you made no effort to notify me.
3) Congratulations on your binders full of women; like I said, I'm also totally open to the possibility you're rude to all genders. That was just my architect's guess.  4) You have all of my contact information, I gave three days before leaving a review, and you still have not reached out to apologize or send any of these cheap regifted gift cards you keep promising, so do not publicly pretend the offer is sincere.  5) How is it odd to let you know blowing me off had actual consequences for me, and a heads up would've been nice?

I used T & D Electrical to retrofit some recessed lighting in my kitchen and adjoining hallway and I am very pleased with the results. Everyone representing the company who I came into contact with was courteous, knowledgable, and helpful. I won't hesitate to call them again for my next project.

He came over and assessed our work request and provided us a quote via text later that week.

We scheduled our work dates (3 day job) and Ted was there everyday at 9am just as he had committed. When he was in the house he was clean, quiet and respectful. Work was broken up between morning, left for lunch, then came back to finish up for the day. On the 3rd day the job was done and we squared up our invoice, discussed some future upgrades to the outside and the garage and he was off.

Overall Ted and his son were great and the quality of work was great. I look forward to Honey Do Home Electric coming back to working on the outside and the garage.

Joe was responsive, on time, fixed the problem quickly and for a fair price. Can't ask for more than that. When he left I was confident the job had been done correctly.

So I just purchased a new home and having some circuit breaker issues. Found Chris on Yelp very nice guy. Very responsive. Came right out, Fix the issue under 15 minutes so I will definitely be calling him back out to finish the work, Definitely give Chris a call or give him a chance if you are having any type of issues with circuit breakers or electrical issues definitely recommend this business. Master bedroom lights/outlets weren't working so Greenline came out within a hour on a Friday night to help us out! Fixed the problem quickly for a great price. Had so many Electrition's flake/keep rescheduling but Greenline was honest and kept their word. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I contacted Ryan after running into a problem installing a new light fixture.  I reached out late Saturday morning and he was here by that afternoon!

He was kind, and professional and even took the time to explain to us where the issue was with the existing wiring (even though I'm sure it was obvious it mostly went over our heads). In no time he was at work putting in the new fixture while chatting with my husband and myself and even getting in a few pats on the head for our very eager puppy who was so excited to have someone new in the house.

When all was said and done we had a safely wired, fully functional light fixture in our living room much more quickly than I had anticipated. His pricing was fair and as he left my husband and I breathed a sigh of relief that we had finally found an electrician nearby that we feel we can count on for any future needs.

Professional, efficient, adaptable & knowledgeable are words that come to mind when describing the electricians of Highlights Chicago! After receiving several quotes for the replacement of two light fixtures, one that hung 20 ft. up in the foyer and the other that hung 17 ft. up in the primary bedroom, I chose Highlights Chicago for the job based in large part on their strong recommendations and was not at all disappointed. Boz came through with his dream team of Raul, Gustavo & Christian. Original plan - use a 20' ladder for the foyer install but at 7:15 am this past Wednesday morning, the ladder quickly proved too large for the narrow foyer space. Undaunted, the crew came back the same morning and at 9:45 am, set about quickly building a 20' scaffold in the space to remove an old, wrought iron fixture that had come with the house and installing an antique store find in its place. Watching the progress, I was impressed with the speed, knowledge & teamwork that the three electricians displayed. Also, maneuvering 20 ft. up on the somewhat precarious scaffold was no easy feat, but the crew made it look effortless. Once the foyer job was finished, the scaffold was dismantled and brought up to the 2nd floor primary bedroom in order to remove an old ceiling fan that hung 17 ft. above. Down came the ceiling fan & up went the new chandelier and its numerous crystals that the team put together & hung while 12 ft. in the air. Both installs were finished by 1:45 pm, and the crew left the home spotless. Well done! We are in the process of tearing down a house we recently purchased, and hired Rogelio at Alex Electrical to cut the main electrical line from the pole to the house, as well as remove the cable lines, the electric meter, and the electric box in the house. Rogelio was extremely knowledgeable, very responsive, professional, and got the job done in less time than the estimate. He also mentioned that his company installs outlets, light fixtures, etc. We will definitely be hiring him again in the future for any electrical needs we have. Thank you, Rogelio.

Needed a new light fixture hung in the kitchen. The guys were courteous, professional, and thorough. We plan on using them again soon.

Jake and Lenox were a great team- they were efficient and were able to locate the source of our electrical problem. They replaced 2 GFI's and have literally brought light back into our lives! We'll definitely be using them again.

Neville was amazing! We had an issue with water coming from our ceiling light fixtures! He was speedy, accommodating and more than fair for pricing! I would highly recommend them!!!!!!

The two people who came to install a ceiling fan, two sconces, and add a switch in a vintage apartment were efficient and knowledgeable. $125/worker/hour which seems like the standard rate, with no dilly-dallying.

TOM Electric Services is an excellent company for electrical repairs. The electricians are extremely knowledgeable and experienced. I decided to give Fixer a couple more stars.  They did contact me Sunday night and were apologetic and sent out a fixer on Monday night to fix the issue.  However now the ceiling light that the fixer hung seems to not be fully secured to the ceiling.
