I will absolutely be calling Stefan anytime I have an electrical issue.
All of the companies advertise 24 hour same day service and it's not true. Stefan is the exception to that. I was having smoke detector issues and he was able to come fix it two hours after I called. He was prompt and quick. He fixed the problem within 20 minutes. He was also super friendly and professional.
Thank you again!!

Would highly recommend Darryl and his team to anyone. Sent a message regarding some electrical/lighting issues with my condo building and had a response back in less than 15 mins. Booked a consultation for 1:00 2 days later. Darryl was prompt, professional and was able to fix, purchase and install the lights the same day. The process could not have been easier.
2 days later we had an issue with our lights on one side of the building. Darryl came out the next day and resolved the problem ... come to find out that our condo building had 2 additional lights in the alley that were the problem. 2 lights that we didn't even know about. Totally our fault.
I seriously cannot day enough good things about this company. Efficient, timely, professional and trustworthy.
5 stars all the way.

We purchased a 2-flat building and T&D Electrical helped us get up to code in order for ComEd to install a permanent connection. Marcus was incredible -- while we initially experienced issues with the ComEd inspector (requiring that we install a lattice on our 2nd level porch to make incoming power lines inaccessible), which delayed completion, Marcus helped us see the project through to completion. He had a carpenter come over and install the lattice, communicated with ComEd, and was at the property multiple times -- to meet the carpenter and to meet the inspector. And we are now completely up to code, having passed ComEd's inspection. Thank you Marcus and T&D Electrical for your superb work ethic and dedication!

I was a little mystified and over my head rewiring some outlets in my condo rehab; one light circuit kept tripping a breaker. Based on these great Yelp reviews, I called Ted, and couldn't be more pleased with his service. He was at my door in Wheaton literally within an hour, and on short notice. Knowledgable and friendly, he showed me where I had miswired a plug, and offered some tips for future DIY wiring, all for a very reasonable rate. Highly recommended. Thanks, Ted.

Great experience. Very punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. We had our issues taken care of within an hour. We were very impressed.

Chris was AMAZING! He was super reliable and took such great care in my forever home. He has come back twice and each time he has exceeded my expectations and I've already given his info to many friends who could use some electrical work. He hung 3 huge chandeliers with care and even made one work that didn't come with the parts needed from the manufacturer. He then hung an additional 6 other lights and even changed all my lightbulbs so they matched in color!
He also came back and hung two tvs for me the second visit which I can assure you will not be his last!
Thank you Chris and team for amazing and fast service and being such a great person overall!
Appreciate you and your team! See you soon!

Totally recommend if you're in need of any electrical jobs. Edward was great about providing a fair and accurate estimate. Esteban was on time, very professional and did a great job in installing our new living room light fixture. Job required him to move and center a new box on our sloped/vaulted ceilings. Also appreciated the follow-up call to make sure we were satisfied. Couldn't be happier!!!

Ryan hung a ceiling fan that I was unable to hang safely and had given up -- though I'd successfully hung the exact model in another room in the house. He's a creative problem solver, and we carried on an interesting conversation as he worked. Final cost was LESS than he estimated.

Service was prompt, the electrician great ( he even removed his shoes when he saw that there was carpeting), and the quoted price was what I paid! All in all I can highly recommend this company!

Steer Clear. This is not a legitimate electrical company. Gave me an estimate and did the electrical work for an EV charger in our condo building. Even though building management didn't request City of Chicago license initially, they checked for it later (it can be asked for at any time) and this company is not licensed in the City of Chicago and its illegal to do residential work without it. The job was done completely wrong and he almost blew the sump pump and electrical to entire building by connecting to a panel inexplicably and was told not to. Installed wiring that was bent and broken and taped together which could have caused shocks and burning. New contractor easily installed it - no bends or breaks. The wall outlet installed was open and exposed, and if water dripped to it could electrocute people. Sloppy, cut corners, dangerous, illegal and not up to code. Absolute garbage, rushed work. Refused to get City of Chicago license and come fix job. We will be pursuing our money back. This is an illegitimate electrical company. Avoid at all costs.

Right, I'm not an electrician , but here are couple facts that a real electrician should have known and done, that found out about your job.
You were told by the building engineer to use the 480/277 volt panel because 208/120 was already at the capacity.
You just plainly ignored that and proceeded with your version. Maybe you don't know the difference between two.
You ran 208/ 120 wires through 480/277 panel which was a huge code violation and a human life safety issue.
And that's not all:
Then you spliced those wires inside that panel multiple times -- code violation.
You then decided to use lightning contractor conduit to run the wires and overfill that conduit -- code violation.
You installed the breaker at the wrong panel (which was at capacity) so you overloaded that panel.
The wire was badly scraped
You removed pipe straps and made the electrical conduit loose -- code violation.
J boxes that you installed were unsecured and loose with knock outs missing -- code violation
I'm still waiting on the city of Chicago electrical registration paperwork from you.
A qualified electrician would know right away that he is working with 480/277 volts and would have informed me that i needed a step down transformer in order for the EV charger to work!
On top things you have charged me over $2K for 2 J boxes and a roll of #6 wire, which costs $600 at the most. The piping was already 97% there , so what took you so long.
It took a qualified electrician a total of 8 hours to remove the faulty work and install everything from scratch including installing the transformer.
We'll happily accept a refund to settle this matter

I hired Jake and Urban Power to add two electrical meters and relocate the circuit breakers out of the garden unit to a common area so all tenants could have access to them at my 3-Flat property. He is a master of his craft and did a great job providing solutions to the issues I presented and working efficiently on the install and relocation as well as managing the permitting process with Com-Ed. He has deep experience working with rental properties and gave me some great insights to add value to the property including installing security lighting which I hired him to do as well. I would highly recommend Jake and Urban Power for any electrical job big or small.

Tech was on the early side of the arrival window, completed the work quickly, wore shoe covers and a face mask at all times. Highly recommend and will use again in the future.

Kinetic is second to none! As a Developer & Design Firm owner, I come across many electrical contractors and I can honestly say that my experience with Kinetic Energy as a company, and working with their entire team has been an absolute breath of fresh air! They are currently engaged in our large new construction project in Riverside and have approached every request with enthusiasm and professionalism. Ted was able to work on very competitive pricing and provide exceptional on site service. Beyond this project, I've had to contact them for emergency issues at another property they had not previously worked on. Regardless of that, the attention I received was unmatched. Colin was at the property within a day of my call and was respectful, knowledgeable and identified the issue and provided a quick and immediate solution. I've been so impressed with their work on my developments but even more impressed with Kinetics willingness and ability to extend amazing service to small projects, including installations in my own home!! Beyond that, Tara the electrician that I've now had at my home several times, is an absolute rockstar! I have a historic home.....and very suspicious electrical components. When I challenged her with replacing some old fans and large pendants, it presented some issues but she was able to devise a solution that brought the connections and my home up to safety. I would highly recommend Kinetic Energy and their team for any of electrical work and I will certainly continue to use them on our developments and personally! Great job!

Honest, transparent about costs, and delivered excellent work on time for installing an electric car charger. He looked up specs on the car company website, going the extra mile to ensure he did the best work.

Pros: responsive, punctual, honest, respectful of my home, fair pricing
Cons: none found
Alex did a great job replacing a broken switch. He responded quickly to my initial request and was fast in communicating throughout the scheduling process. We are very happy with the quality of work.
We'll likely have to have most of our old wiring replaced and are looking forward to have Alex and his team back. Seems to be a newer company, and I'm glad we took a chance on them.

I really appreciate Fixer.com service.
I've had minor repair work that I've noticed living in my home for the past 10 years.. Whenever I'd get the enthusiasm to reach out to any other company on Yelp to request a quote, I'd be met with: That project is too small of a job, so we're not coming out for just that.
I'm glad that I got the whim to check yelp again recently and came upon Fixer.com. They charge hourly, so they don't really care if a job is too little. You just start out by going on the website, creating an account, and then selecting a date/time (it can be the same day even), and then Jayme will respond right away to confirm the appointment.
I had a crumbling wall amongst many other issues in my home. Jayme coordinated for Chang and Katie out to my home today and they did a fantastic job of tackling the problems I had requested to be addressed. They were both very knowledgeable about what they were doing and they did a great job explaining things to me. And I feel like they both had strong integrity, as they would state that they were stopping the clock whenever appropriate so that I wouldn't be charged for any moments where they weren't working.
I really appreciate that a service such as this exists for people who are not confident in repairing small jobs on their own. I'm excited to continue to work with Fixer.com on other projects that I had been thinking about over the past 10 years. I fully believe in them and have the utmost confidence in Katie, Chang, Jayme and the whole team.
