Best Electricians in Chicago, IL

I contacted Alltown in December and was very disappointed. I made an inquiry and informed Noel I would call him right back once I spoke to my spouse. I called back five minutes later, no answer. Called back again, no answer. Sent a message, no answer...lol still no answer.

I was only trying to spend money...shrugs...

Called him 3 times.. over the course of 2 weeks.
He never got back to me. He may be a good electrician but his customer service sucks.

Victor was great to work with. He was able to replace two bedroom sconces and run an extra wire to install a dual fan/light dimmer switch. He was courteous, timely, knowledgeable, and up front about the cost of the job and what needed to be done. We would certainly hire him again. Thanks.

Peter helped and didn't even need to come to my house!  I had some problems with the electrical outlets in my bathrooms and when I described it in an email he quickly deduced that it my be as simple as resetting the circuit breaker. Duh! on my part but really appreciated his ability to resolve this without charging for a visit.  Previously used him for a stuck bulb in my stove and he patiently fixed it so I can easily replace it myself now.

Peter is very personable, responsive and thorough.  Highly recommend if you need a reliable and trustworthy mechanic!

We just used Frank to install two ceiling fans in our home.  He was very knowledgeable, professional, and personable.  While he was at our home I had him look at another electrical issue which he happily fixed for us.  He is an excellent electrician and we will be using again.  Highly recommend.

I've had great electrical work done by other contractors and have given them 5 stars for the work, so I really wish I were able to give 6 stars to Current Electrical.  I live in a very old house with a detached garage.  I needed a 240V 60A hookup in the garage which only had a single 120V circuit from the house.  This involved moving breakers from the main panel to a sub-panel to make room for the new circuits and running a 1 pipe from the panel, out of the house, into a trench, into the garage and then provisioning for a car charger.  I was very pleased with the reasonable quote for all of this work and more pleased with how thoughtful, thorough and effective that lead contractor, Andy and his team were in the completion of this work.  I am confident that this work was done to the highest standards of quality and safety.  The group was mindful of our things that had to be moved, with everything put back exactly as it was found, and careful to not to tear up the yard any more than was necessary (there is no evidence at this point that work was done).  Andy came to me several times during the process to explain what was happening next or to arrange the power disruptions in the house for minimal inconvenience.  I selected Current Electrical among suppliers with this type of experience from their Yelp rating.  I'm glad that I did, and you will too.

Kent is a straight shooting electrician. He'll tell you exactly what he can and can't do and he provides it at a very fair price. The work that he did at my condo was wiring for a new electric stove. Him and his other employee showed up timely and completed the work very quickly while maintaining high standards of quality. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Chicagoland area.

Quick service and installation of a tricky light fixture! Took two hours for a new chandelier, but that was with needing to do a little re-wiring. Professional and easy to work with!

LMV Electric was very responsive. Excellent communication. An electrician came by for a free estimate. They emailed me a written estimate, which allowed for two options. I accepted the estimate, and they scheduled the work. They had an opening in their schedule, and we were able to get the work done five days earlier. The work was done quickly, and workmanship is guaranteed for one year. I will call on them again, and would recommend.

Call Eugene cause I had partial outage at the house ,told me is was gonna be at the house the next day,sure enough he was at the house on time , fixed my problem under a hour .Eugene call the next day to make sure everything was working fine , Thank you Eugene you the best.

I wish all contractor experiences were as they are with Hardt Electric, and Todd. Todd has helped me with many projects, large and small, at multiple residences. He completes everything as expected, and regularly makes corrections to any existing issues found during the process. He also makes many helpful suggestions along the way, which has been very helpful in optimizing the intended outcome and results.

I am amazed that I am the first person to review this company. Any one who owns property knows how wonderful (and difficult) it is to find a professional, reliable, funny, and super friendly electrician/plumber/contractor/handyman. Well, with Ed, I found The One. He's just fantastic in every way. I recently hired him to repair the doorbells at my two-flat and, as always, he was reasonably priced and available that day. I've used Ed before for some minor electrical work, and this time was no different. He quickly diagnoses the problem, gets it fixed, he's a pleasure to chat with (he has that dry sense of humor that I love), and his prices are very fair (I never feel jipped when he leaves...in fact, I typically think that's it?). I highly recommend Ed for all of your electrical needs. You will be extremely pleased with his services and your wallet won't be empty:-)

Completed several projects including resolving problems with 4-way switch that another contractor was unable to resolve.

Had an emergency situation and within a hour Martin was out at the property and we had power again.  He was so kind to not charge a emergency fee on a Friday night after hours!
