Our AC unit was installed over a year ago by Pacific Coast.   Last week it would not kick on.   Called Pacific Coast Home Services and scheduled a service.   They provided up to date status on technician arrival.   The technician, Emerson Martel, arrived early.   He went through the compressor and agreed it was not charged.   Emerson spent many hours tracing the leak checking the compressor and the inside unit.   Recognizing he was not able to trace the issue, he called his supervisor thinking there could be an issues with the compressor internals.

Emerson cancelled other services and stayed the day to trace the problem.   After telling us to run the system and see if he could detect any leaks, Emerson called another technician who came out and determined a possible cause in a small gasket.   These guys were committed to solving the problem.  Upon leaving, they gave clear instructions on running the system to determine if the issue was solved.  And if not they were ready to be back

I have used Pacific  Home Services.   These guys know HVACs and stand by their work.  I have been impressed with them every time.   Highly recommend.   Thanks Emerson and team!!!

It's a month later, and my project is done. Overall it's been a good experience working with PCHM. Carlos, Christian and Kenneth were meticulous and dedicated in their work. Again, they were respectful of the elders and a toddler crying in the house. Christian suggested good places to add the new circuit wires that are solely used for our space heaters. My mom enjoyed talking with Kenneth who ended up introducing himself in our Ilokano dialect. He ended crawling all over our attic to add new circuit wires. Carlos ended up returning to add the circuit breakers and attach the wires.

Overall, I appreciate the warmth, honesty, and professionalism of the electricians. I felt comfortable asking questions and clarifying any concerns regarding next steps with Jaime via text. I also appreciate the customer service representatives I called weekly as requested updates regarding fee updates and adjustments.

Just had them come out to fix my circuit breaker. Electrical work is sooo pricey, but they were extremely punctual and professional! Dispatch gave an estimated time of arrival wast between 12pm and 2pm. They showed up at 12 sharp! (Took a few extra minutes to find my bldg b/c my complex is a maze!)

They were able to locate the rare breaker switch for my unit. It was a really old model. Got me installed and back in business under an hour, including the round trip to the store to buy the breaker!

We spent a huge amount of money for a new electrical panel and several new electrical lines.  We thought the price would buy us good service.  Wrong.  Too many visits, one tech re-did the work of another and said the first guy must have been asleep.  They did not show up for the city inspection and we still, nearly a year later and after multiple requests, do not have a signed permit.

We had one of their plumbing techs came out on Monday for a leak in our crawl space.  The crawl space had water in it, so the tech came up and said we needed the space dried by professionals before work can begin.  I checked my email and the tech sent a work order to have (2) 5 foot pipes replaced in the kitchen waste line.  Pacific coast home services wanted $4k for this job.  WTF?  We put floor air movers on the space and had it dried out in 2 days.
We then had another plumber come out and do the repair for $650.00  It turns out, the 45* elbow had a crack.  It took literally 35 minutes to repair.
I would strongly suggest not doing business with these guys.  In a time of crisis, I can see how nice people can get conned and ripped off by these crooks.

Super high cost and didn't fully fix things.

They came to my place two years ago to do a panel replacement. Since they replaced the panel, a lot of the breakers kept tripping and so I was suggested to re-wire the circuits that were tripping and was guaranteed that the trippings won't happen again. Cost me thousands of dollars and three entire months to finish this project.

Two years later, the circuits start tripping again and when I ask them out to check things out, they said it would cost me 1250 dollars just to do a diagnosis. When I told them that they promised me that this wouldn't happen again they just responded with well we heard you but it is what it is

They installed my HVAC system as well two years ago. The brand new HVAC system breaks two years later due to some installation issue. Even the technician repaired it said the quality of work is pretty meh. The HVAC system cost me 13k. Thank god it is still under warranty otherwise god knows how much money these guys would charge me to fix what they shouldn't break.

These guys would bring you seemingly good service before you pay, after they got the money, good luck to you.

Our toilet flooded the hallway bathroom it was around 1:00 am I called around and was unable to get a hold of any so called 24/7 emergency service company. I decided to cal PCHS .
I got a quick response from call center representative Nicole.
I was so happy that they were able to have technician Rafael in my house within 1 hour
Rafael performed an full system diagnosis and was able to provide me multiple options.
I decided to move Forward with sewer replacement
Since the sewer back ups have been ongoing issue do to tree roots .
They did a wonderful job from start to finish and kept me updated throughout the whole process.
Overall I'm am very happy with my experience

They saved my kitchen!!  We had a plumbing company out to fix our clogged kitchen sink.  There was no clean out for the kitchen pipes so they had to cut a hole in the outside of the house to put one in.  The plumbing company doesn't fix the wall though so we were left to figure that out on our own.  We called PCHS since they do plumbing and home repair.  Their technician came out to fix the hole and somehow noticed a hairline crack in the new pipe.  He asked us to run the water for a couple of minutes and sure enough there was a crack in the pipe the other company had just installed.  If he hadn't noticed that and patched the wall that leak would have destroyed our kitchen.

PCHS fixed the pipe and patched the wall.  Really great experience and we will be using them for all out future plumbing and electrical needs.

Mom used this company mid last year.

We were still having some issues so we called back and scheduled an appointment.

Carlos M. Came out he listened and assessed the issues we were having.
He  made sure that it was going to be under warranty for her, or he would go above and beyond to resolve it.

I mentioned that the Circuit tracing placard that the original installers created was difficult to understand to say the least!

He offered to have it redone in a way that makes sense.

His work ethic is exceptional as are his people skills he is an outstanding
representative for this company.

Businesses need more people like Carlos.

Since my original review was removed. I am going to post one of the email messages. Be aware of this company they charged us $1,350 for less than 2 hours of work:

Dear Ms. Amelia:

We appreciate the work for our home which was completed yesterday by Salvador and Renee. While they were here, fixed two outlets (each cost $295.50 to replace (the work was may be 5 minutes each), as you can see the second one with multiple switches, only the bottom middle was broken so that was replaced, after I took this photo this evening, I am certain only the broken switch was replaced not the whole unit.  We live in the bay area so may be that is why this seems high.

Salvador took down a pendant light and put up a new one which took him approximately 20 to 25 minutes and it was $365.50. (during putting it up, he cracked the glass which we replaced ourselves last night.)

What really is bothersome is the following. We asked them to check whether the problem with our monitor was with the outlet or the ,monitor itself. They tested the outlet and tested the monitor in the room also tried it in another plug in other room, and concluded that the problem was with the monitor. Thus they provided a diagnosis, which was useful. The total amount of time was at most 15 or 20 minutes.

However for this diagnosis, while they were already on site, we were charged $389.00.

This seems very excessive to us for a brief diagnosis. We would appreciate if some of this excessive charge can be refunded back to us.

We would like to leave a positive review.

BEWARE: On Jan 18, 2023, technician, Salvador Valencia (he asked me to mention his name when I give a review) arrived with a trainee, Renee. Told them I needed two wall sockets replaced, a pendant light replaced, and to check out the wall socket in our home office. Asked for their hourly rate and he said $150 but he would talk to his manager and see what they can do. They go out to the truck, came back and was approved to give me a package deal and showed it on his I-Pad. Sign here and sign here. I told them again that I don't want to be overcharged, he assured me that all their prices were in a book and offered to all customers. Renee, replaced the two wall sockets in less than 5 minutes each, $295.50 each. Salvador replaced the pendant light in 20 to 25 minutes for $365.00 and cracked the glass which we had to replace. As for the not working wall socket, after spending 15 or 20 minutes, they charged a diagnostic fee of $389.00. Turned out nothing is wrong with the socket it was the small monitor that was not working. I texted, Ayla, the support staff who was courteous and responsive, and asked for the name of the project manager, Amelia Strugala Rojas, who I emailed on Jan 19, 2023. She emailed back on Jan 24, 2023, to stated electrical manager Juan Conchas tried to contact me. But you know how cell phones are, shows all in coming and missed calls. Not one call. Then on Jan 25, 2023, Ms. Rojas assured me that Mr. Conchas would call me that day. Not one call. So here is my review. I was overcharged and made good faith effort to work with this company to recover some of my hard earned money. I would not recommend them as they charged me $1,345.00 for less than 2 hours of work, however, it does come with 20 year warranty.

I've had PCHS out to do many jobs over the years. Always very pleased with their work. Yet another great job done today. I had Christian and Chris out to clean my ducts. The returns definitely needed it and their vaccum brush machine kept the dust down to almost nothing. Very happy and impressed!

Pacific Coast Home Service installed a new furnace and an AC unit 3 years ago.  Everything was running fine until today. Today we got a Nest error message.  They graciously came out same day and fixed the wiring issue- which was caused by rodents.  Nice to see a company stand behind their work - even when the issue wasn't their fault!

I requested a simple smoke detector replacement.  The smoke detector was located on a high ceiling.  I told the person making appointments that they would need a 20 ft ladder.  The electrician showed up and acted surprised that they needed a ladder.  The electrician said they would need to put up scaffolding in order to replace a single 3-wire smoke detector and that it would cost $3400!  They clearly were too lazy to acquire a ladder and wanted to move on to another project.  I would have paid for renting a ladder on top of their $90 rollout fee and the 20 minutes of work.  I'm a landlord and always look for good service providers.  This is not one of them.  I recommend looking for someone else so you don't waste your time and energy.

Warning. Long review incoming.

I was in talks with a few people for a 2 unit mini-split system, and got a few quotes. I chose Pacific Coast because they said they had a WiFi unit for the price I was looking to spend.

I made an install appointment and told them that I work 60-70 hours a week and asked if they can do the install in 1 day, since I don't have a lot of free time. They said yes.

Install day came and I noticed they only brought in 1 unit. I asked them if they are installing both. They said they are only installing one unit that day and will come back another day to install the second unit. I was a little frustrated. I asked if that unit would be up and running when they were done and they said yes.

By the end of that day they said that they were done with the install. I asked if I could use the unit. They said no because the electrician has to come out and run power to it. A little bit more frustrated.

They asked me if I wanted the electrician to come out the next day. I said no because I had to rest in the morning for my upcoming 16 hour shift in the afternoon. I asked to be scheduled the next week on my next day off.

The next morning at 7am my doorbell rings and it's the electrician. My frustration level is continuing to rise. I tell the electrician he can go ahead and work and to call me if he had any issues. I go back to sleep and he calls me about an hour later. He tells me my power line coming in from the street is bad. It's frayed and burned through its housing. He said it's a fire hazard. He gives me a quote on it, and of course after hearing that, I agree to have it replaced. He also says my main electrical circuit panel is old and I should upgrade it. I agreed to it. He said he would come back out on the day the mini-split team was working. He said he would finish all the electrical that day.

Second install day is here. So both the installers and the electrician are there. I asked the installers if the second unit will be finished by that day. Their response was, I'm not sure. I hope so. Unacceptable answer. It was supposed to be a one day install. I also asked them if this unit would be able to connect to WiFi in order for me to control in from my phone. The installers looked confused and began asking each other if the unit was able to do that. The electrician was working on the main power line and the main electrical circuit panel. I asked him if he would also be running power to the mini split system. He seemed confused and told me no. He said he was only there for the main power line and circuit panel.

At this point I am extremely frustrated. This company seems as if they will tell you anything you want to hear to acquire your business. The lack of communication and professionalism is astounding.

I called my project manager and told her what the installers and the electrician told me. She said she would call me back. She called me back and told me she was sending out a second electrician to run power to the mini split system and that the mini split units had an adaptor that can be installed for the WiFi, but the adaptors are out of stock. I asked when they would be back in stock and they said they had no idea.

Everything got done that day and they said they would let me know when the WiFi adaptors were back in stock.

I got a call shortly after and they said the WiFi adaptors were in stock and I scheduled an install. The installer came and said he never installed the adaptor and looked very confused and spent a lot of time reading the install manual.

A month or 2 later, I noticed that my mini split unit in the living room was leaking water. Someone came out and said my pump was leaking. He said he fixed the problem.

Fast forward again and the unit was leaking again. This time they sealed the roof where they drilled in to install the unit.

Fast forward again and I found a leak in my garage. This time it's where they drilled a new hole to run the electrical down from the main power line to my new circuit panel. They sealed the roof.

Fast forward again and now I had a screeching noise coming from my unit in the bedroom. Someone came out and could not recreate the noise. He said next time it happens to record a video of it and text it to him directly. I texted him the video. No response. I gave up on that issue and am just living with it.

Fast forward again. The living area unit is leaking again. The guy they sent out said the last guy that sealed the roof did it wrong and that he had to re-do it.

Fast forward about a year. I get an error code and both units stop working. Guy comes out and says all the refrigerant leaked into my wall because of a bad install.

Fast forward another year and I notice the AC is cold, but not as cold as it should be. I figure the AC unit just needs to be serviced. Guy comes out and guess what? Another refrigerant leak!

Do yourself a favor and go with another company.

Salvador and Carlos showed up right on time and proceeded to methodically track down the source of two GFCI plugs tripping. I have had a lot of remodels done on my house, and there are multiple electrical panels and subpanels around here, any of which, in my mind, might have been the source of these issues.

Long story short: they figured out that a switch controlling an outdoor awning, installed decades ago, (and apparently mis-installed) was shorting out and tripping the outside GFCI and an indoor one as well.

After that discovery, it was fairly straightforward, although I still might have that switch re-engineered to prevent this from happening again.

Both Salvador and Carlos were efficient and communicated everything they were doing in an easy to understand manner. I was very happy with their work, and really happy to have my outdoor lights and kitchen plugs working again!

Pacific Coast electric is really running money fleecing businesses.

Issue - couple of rooms in my house had lost power

Pacific coast charges $90 visitation fees. After looking at the rooms that had lost the power technician said it would take me $700 to diagnose the Issue and then cost of repair.

Luckily I declined the diagnostics and just paid $90 visitation fees.

Called my Handyman who just fixed a broken/burnt circuit breaker. Cost $150.

TL;DR summary :  

- Company extremely over-charges for replacement parts
- Company does not take ownership to address customer complaints or concerns

I have spent more than $5,000 with Pacific Coast to replace my outdoor A/C unit and coil over last couple of years.  Recently, I called them again to check out a problem I was having with the new A/C unit.  After looking into the problem, the technician diagnosed it to be a broken capacitor that needed to be replaced (unrelated to the new A/C unit).

The problem is that they decided to charge me close to $350 for the replacement capacitor (see screenshot of invoice) on top of the $560 charge for the labor costs. I don't mind playing $560 for labor but $350 is extremely excessive for a new capacitor.

As it was getting late, I didn't want to make an issue of it with the technician as he had been working hard at it but he assured that they were charging a reasonable market rate for it.  So I settled the amount. But after the technician left, I decided to look up how the capacitor costs and it's a $10 part!!

So I called back the next day asking to speak to someone about this over-charging.  A reasonable markup is to be expected but how can anyone justify charging $350 for a $10 part?  

Over-charging was the just first step.  This was compounded by the fact that no one in position of authority to address my concern would call me back. This service was done in late August 2021 and the only reason why I'm writing this in January 2022 is that I've given this company ample time to address this issue.

I called repeatedly and after repeated assurances that someone would call me back, no one did.  And what's worse is that every single manager that I was passed on to would ultimately leave the company. I finally was put through to the GM (Jim) who seemed genuinely interested in addressing my complaint. He promised to refund me part of the cost and I was OK with that.

Well another two months passed and no refund materialized. I called back yet again and what do you know, that GM has also left the company.

I called Pacific Coast Home Services at 11:30 PM. I attempted to install my own Nest and ran into the problem of no power to the blue C wire. Luis Martinez came out in the middle of this heat wave, we went 2 nights without air. Luis was so professional and kind, he walked me through every step of Pacific Coast Home Services processes. He went above and beyond  for his level of respect and courtesy. He wore his mask, and booties. Luis took pics for future work and maintenance possibly needed. He explained every picture in detail and the process behind it. We feel so good about having Pacific Coast Home Services come back for future work because of Luis Martinez' professional, personable, caring manner, and knowledge and scope of the job. The team came to install a Tesla Wall Connector and did a great job. My particular installation had some limitations that were overcome beautifully. Very patient throughout the process. Great for a variety of needs - heating, electrical, plumbing... Pricey but worth the investment. We've been using them for two years for our needs and wouldn't call anyone else in South Bay. When dealing with our water heater, TJ was the best.

This company is the worst company I called to help me out with a ring Alarm that is wireless and they charge me $89.00 dollars just to tell me to install my ring alarm it will cost me $879.00 dollars smh how they are still in business lost for words

Businesses like Pacific Coast Home are why homeowners are turning to YouTube on how to fix problems. They quote you with an $89 service call that can be applied and send technicians to open some covers and use a tool to test for power going through outlets and checking your main/sub panels. They have a multi level diagnostics test which your $89 service call can be waved but since they couldn't detect anything with their tier 1diagnostic , tier 2 will cost $797. What they do find in tier 2 is probably what any electrician will find out in a fraction of the time for a fraction of cost.

Juan and Robert are the dynamic duo!

Our water heater broke down and started leaking all over at 11:30pm. I called PCHS as they were the only game in town for emergency services 24/7.  We live in Menlo Park and I wasn't certain they would service our area. Juan made it to our home at 1:30am. He diagnosed the problem and stopped the leaking.  He then immediately ordered the only water heater in stock in San Leandro.  He promised me that we would be up and running by the end of the day.  Fast forward to 8:00am when Robert pulled up to my home with a new water heater.  He didn't leave my home until 7:00pm to make sure that my new unit was installed properly.

Both men are very professional, respectful, competent and care about the customer.

I couldn't be happier with their service and will call them in the future for all of our plumbing, electrical or HVAC needs.

I had my air ducts cleaned and an air scrubber installed with scent pods. I'm very happy with the results. They disinfected everything. My house feels and smells fresh and clean. I love it!!! These people have a crazy minimum fees and are as expensive they call a diagnostic fee as I have ever seen. The people who showed up seemed very capable, but their company policies are terrible. They constantly handed me exemptions and exceptions to sign and billed over $1000 to fix two simple lights. I was hoping to find a fast, responsive, reasonably priced electrical service, but this just isn't it.

Andrew Hernandez was very knowledgeable and nice to deal with on both of my jobs. He was very patient with me, as I probably had a lot of dumb questions, but he still answered them all. He always answered my phone calls and if he was busy with a customer he would always return my call. He made my project go easier. I would love to work with him again on a future project.

Thank you Salvador for your professionalism in a very unpleasant circumstance with my outrageous landlord.

I know you didn't get the job because my lab lord is trying to teach me a lesson by not hiring Latinos but that's not your fault. My land lord is an old fashion slum lord so if you don't kiss his ring he won't hire you. It's a nasty generation of oppressors.

Rafael came to my house to check on a clogged dishwasher less than an hour after talking over the phone. After inspection he noticed that the issue was mechanical and food was in the dishwasher, all the pipes were good. They didn't charge anything.

The lady spoke very politely and professionally. I was told they charge an $89 visitation fee that will be applied to the cost of the job. Other vendors could give a quote based on photos and Facetime consultation. I was able to answer questions. I personally wouldn't recommend them because of the visitation fee.

Jeremy, Richie and Christian were the techs who worked on our home. After a home purchase and long remodel, we needed a very thorough duct and furnace cleaning. The team responded for a quote and were out on site in a couple days. The pricing was a little more than we expected, but the service and follow through was very good. Everyone we worked with was super knowledgeable and available to answer any questions we had. The work was done in one day and they cleaned up everything afterwards. Power went out in the garage, furnace, and 1 of the rooms in the house on Saturday night.  Technician, Carlos Morales, came on Sunday and Monday to fix the problem.  He was polite and very informative.  He even gave me advice on a future project for my house.  I plan on using this company for everything going forward.

Horrible services, dishonest, bad communication.

I want to have a wall heater replaced; at first I want to buy a new one myself and have PCHS install it, they agreed; but at the day they send technician, PCHS said they can't install it and I have to pay for a new one. I agreed as most other home services also said I have to pay for a new one.

On Jan 5th they sent a technician to take a look. Technician is a nice guy, and said I should get a quote the next week.

The quote never arrive.

I got frustrated 1 week later, and called PCHS several times. They promised that they are onto it, that I should get a response in a day or two.

The response never arrive.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

Salvador showed up as agreed upon and quickly made an assessment of our problem with the electric breaker box.  It was subsequently repaired in record time with success in restoring our service.  He is a very courteous young man with knowledge of his craft.  I would recommend Salvador and his company for any electrical work needed.

My job was a wall switch that controlled a nearby wall socket which would not work.  A friendly electrician came, took a quick look and said it would take $750 to do an analysis. Two hours later the analysis was complete but to replace the faulty wire, more money was required.  I sent him away with the job incomplete.  I am quite dissatisfied.

They response very quickly for scheduling and  fixing my power issue at home.  But The cost for solving the issue is expensive. I probably can find someone else to solve it with lower cost.

Overall, I will still recommend it if you have to solve issue in short time period.

We want to acknowledge the ongoing work by Angel Vargas, Christian and the other people on the electrical crew.  All are very polite and have good attention to detail. The job site is cleaned up at the end of the day and debris is removed so we don't have to hire someone else to do that task.

In particular, Angel Vargas is a standout on the team in regards to keeping us up to date on his work and explaining the technical aspects of the job, which is a big help in understanding the complicated work being done.

We especially appreciate the accuracy he displayed in wiring and hanging our two dining room pendant lights from our vaulted ceiling that has little to no crawl space.  Angel figured out  the measurements relative to the dining table size and the for the proper location of the lights. It was completed perfectly!

Remodel:
We want to acknowledge the ongoing work by Angel Bravo, Oscar, and the other people on the remodeling crew.  This is an excellent team and they have been doing wonderful work. All are very polite and have good attention to detail. The job site is cleaned up at the end of the day and debris is removed so we don't have to hire someone else to do that task.
We've worked longer with Angel Bravo and when we have questions about the project, he answers without hesitation and gives us the information we need to understand the aspect of the job he's working on. Angel's craftsmanship with installing cabinets is extremely precise and the end result is excellent.

Rep was as friendly as can be and arrived on time. No complaints there. The single star rating is based solely on that.  However, once I received their pamphlet of scare tactics trying to sell upgraded safety devices I knew this was going to be expensive. It turned out to average out at just under $100 PER FOOT of wiring (parts and labor). I can't believe that had the audacity to quote me such a ridiculous price. I know living in this area makes us targets for overzealous estimates, but this one takes the cake. I will be using another contractor and have plenty to choose from that quoted me less than half of Pacific Coast's cost.

Asked the cost to inspect. They only told it cost $89 to dispatch somebody to take a look. Provided time window between 12-2PM.
They decided to come early without my acknowledgement as i'm still at work.
They said they can't wait for me. Spoke on the phone to tell them what I need even though i already explained the issue when i requested the service.

I thought they will inspect to tell what's the problem and provide estimate on the repair but said that it will cost  ~$500 to just diagnose for level 1 (not the repair itself) - not sure what level 1 means. Unreasonable cost to inspect AC problem. Now i know the reason they won't give any price...

They could have explained different level of diagnostic prices..
Decide to go with somebody else.

I was looking to install a wired Nest Hello video doorbell.  I called PCHS for a quote and a technician was sent out.

He was on time and courteous. I explained that I was replacing an existing wired doorbell, and the wiring was still in place.  He just had to install a transformer and use the existing wiring.  I had already purchased the Nest Hello and was ready to do the job.

Well... the quote came in and it seemed like nothing I said was heard.  They quoted me $595 for a Nest Hello when you can buy the doorbell AND a Nest Hub for $299 at Google.  What's with that?  Total ripoff.

In addition, they quoted running new Romex wiring in the attic when I had told them to use the existing wiring.

The whole thing came to $1200 for a freaking doorbell.  Unbelievable. I wrote them back and asked for a correction on the quote and they never responded.

I'm sure they do a good job, but beware the inflated prices!

Called them to do warranty work on a short in the garage. Over the phone they had confirmed that it was warranty work.

They ended up saying the whole circuit was fried and that they'd disconnect the garage lights for safety. (Power tools and a burned out neutral)

This was fine, but they didn't do this by shutting of the circuit breaker, they did this by messing behind the panel (so I couldn't turn it back on)

This wasn't an issue until night time when we realized they had shut off the lights to the kitchen and porch.

No harm no foul right?

So I called, explained the situation, and asked them if they could restore power to the kitchen (since they apparently did something to behind the panels).

So they sent another tech out who was super nice and polite but a bit stumped and said they'd get it sorted out tomorrow.

Totally cool, I get it, you're busy. It's someone else's work. We'll live.

But the tech never showed or wasn't scheduled the next day. So now the kitchen lights are out for the third day in a row, I can't safely turn them back on since they did something behind the panel, and the reception (dealing with my family who wants those lights on) told us you already got two free visits.

I mean, they came for a short circuit and now our kitchen/porch lights don't work on day three?

The price for putting extra circuits in the garage and restoring power? Just under 5k. I was cool with entertaining that idea when they were going to restore lights in the kitchen but now they're just leaving it as is.

So to me, this now seems like a super underhanded sales strategy for what was supposed to be some free repair work under warranty and now I have no lights in my kitchen for the third day in a row.

This was something that was potentially a good customer experience and really soured it.

The water heater at my residence dumped gallons of water out the over-pressure line, as a result of failure of the pressure control valve at the inlet to the house from the city. Pacific Coast correctly diagnosed the issue in about 30 min. The property management company contacted their in-house vendor who totally missed the external PCV valve failure, which could have led to water heater and plumbing damage to the house, as well as another flood. The whole experience was so professional and courteous- from sending a photo of the tech to start with so I knew who to expect, to walking me through the diagnosis, to the instant quote over the phone. You always get what you pay for and this company delivers excellent service.

They are more sale people than technicians. Prices are unreasonable even for the area, purely a money grab when you don't have a choice.

As an example:
- $600+ to clean a external unit (and was told that they need to do it before checking refrigerant level, which is false.)
- $299 to check the system (check refrigerant level), but the technicians only saw the pump leak at the very end when taking measurements to replace the whole system.
- $1500 for 9 pounds of refrigerant (you can buy 25 pounds for $550 online). So they basically charge you more than $1300/ hours to add refrigerant.
- $3000 to add refrigerant and find the leak by adding UV DYE (cost $100 online), so extra $1400 in labor to find the leak.

I was quoted a new system too because:   probably just cheaper to replace instead of fixing . Quote is also $10K above any other company I met.

They claim they are not the cheaper because they are more efficient and experimented etc. But when converted to an hourly rate it's just pure money grab, not even lawyers charge that.

I'm disappointed because I called them 2 years ago and they fixed my AC for a reasonable price and the technician was not trying to sell me water filter or other stuff I'm not asking for. So called them again when I got that new issue, but won't do it again.

Charged me $600 to do a level 2 assessment which consisted of opening the electric outlet, closing it back up, and telling me that it can't be fixed in its current state since it doesn't meet code and it would take $4000 to bring it up to code. What a rip off!

Yesterday (7/27/22), I made an appointment to get some electrical work done on my brother's house. I was impressed that Pacific Coast was able to get us a next-day appointment.

Andrew Hernandez was our technician. He text messaged me that he was on his way. He arrived before the scheduled 9:00am appointment. Andrew was polite and professional the entire 2 hours or so that he worked. Andrew is an
awesome technician. He completed multiple tasks on my brother's house. he clearly explained what he was doing and why it needed to be done, all of this in real time.

Andrew has been out to my house on multiple occasions. He has always been thorough and thoughtful in his work. I would recommend him for any electrical work to all of my friends and business contacts. Any future electrical tasks I have, he will be my first call.

Called Pacific Coast to diagnose my mini-split that wasn't working. Luiz Martinez came out the next day and got everything running quickly. On the evening of a very hot day, we realized that our AC had stopped working.  We called Pacific Coast at 10:30pm and they had someone out to our place shortly after 11pm.  Wow!

Long story short, it's 1:15am and my AC is back on!  I'm a very happy customer.  For a while there, it really looked like the compressor (only 4 years old!) had died, but the technician didn't give up there, he kept tinkering, and tried swapping some parts from his van, and bam!  It came back on!  I was so excited.  :)

The technician was great.  He was friendly, clear, clean and professional.  I would happily call again the next time I have an issue.

I could not be happier... my furnace gave out and my guess is it must by 50+ years old as the Lennox was 1st generation!...
I called the big timers whom I have used before and the response were they cannot come out even to estimate the repair/replacement until January 6th!
I found Pacific Coast HS on google with a high 5 star rating and the lady says emergency appointment is $249.00 otherwise the next day is $149.00
Jeremy Correa came out that evening around 9pm and gave me a cost for replacing the unit as there were no parts on the market and beyond repair.
I told them it's full house in the next few days and I need it replaced immediately.  They made a few calls and Emerson Martel, the lead technician came out with his crew of two men at 9:00am the next day and completed the job by 5:30pm.  The crew were friendly and cleaned up very nicely.  I am very appreciative of the expediency of the installation and would not hesitate to use them again for other issues including plumbing, changing out the ducts (long overdue).  I appreciate all the explanations, the text message advising arrival time on premise and name of the technician.

Went back and I found poorly attached wire nut and replaced it  myself.All works. Technician looked at it but clearly was not going to do anything unless I signed on for an 850$ diagnostic . There business model is all calls must yield at least $850 or forget about it. They got me for $450 . I did get a new GFI worth $25 , not what I called them for so you decide if it was worth dealing with these guys.

I am writing on behalf of Mr. Jonathan V. I recently experienced a water leakage in my water heater. Given my limited budget I had to do lots of research to find the most affordable and trusted company to replace my water heater. Several technicians from different companies came to give their assessment and their pricing.  Mr. Jonathan V.'s assessment was super helpful because it alerted me to the gas valve that was too old. And may have had leaks.  When I later called him and told him about smelling gas in that area, he instructed me to call the PG&E which is something I didn't know I could do. The PG&E technician detected a gas leakage and fixed it immediately. Mr. Jonathan V.'s feedback saved my life!! I If he had not picked up the phone or if he was not kind enough to share his knowledge with me, I don't know what could have happened. Praise GOD!  Also, he tried to open up the water shut off valve, but he soon realized it was broken inside which was important for me to know.  He spent quality time with me for my better understanding of the many plumbing issues not just the water heater. Thank GOD. For example, he alerted me to a leak in the wall in my downstairs caused by an issue from upstairs. He checked three bathrooms to identify the source. He checked my laundry detergent and the flushing of the toilet upstairs. He also pointed an issue about the way I had installed my water filter at the faucet that I may need to resolve.  Overall, he went beyond the call of duty to help me become educated about what needed repair and what was functioning fine etc.. And I highly recommend him.  Thank you.

Pacific Coast is a fantastic company, with thorough & professional service. When it came time to replace our furnace, we decided to get AC installed at the same time - Pacific Coast did a stellar job of the project in a very short amount of time. They were respectful, patient, & straightforward with us about the process.  We were very happy with the system they installed and how quickly they got the work done!

Additionally, they used masks for our health, used foot covers & drop cloths to keep our home tidy, and thoroughly cleaned up everything when it was done. Great work!

So many thank yous to Raymond, who helped us understand what to expect and worked with us to put together a system that worked with our budget and needs.

Don't bother to call this company.  They waist your time by coming over and going over your electrical plan and before they leave they say I'll send you an estimate by tomorrow but they never do.  probably looking for a easy money type of job and if it is too complicated then they won't bother.  on January  they send the guy name Andrew Hernandez that never send estimate and after a month when I complained to Pacific Coast, Andrew send the estimate  for $45000 !?!?!  the second guy name Juan Conchas  came on Feb 15th and aid that same thing that I will send you an estimate by tomorrow but never did and won't answer phone call or text message.  I have got estimate from another service center for $5000.

So, Juan came over today to fix the power, as both the living room and bathroom lights weren't working. He checked the breaker in my unit, then went to the main power outlet and flipped the breaker back on to fix my issue, then he showed me how to do it if something like this happened again. He explained that running the oven and computer at same time could flip the breaker off, and to be careful about using too many electrical devices at once. I thanked him and he was on his way to his next appointment. Professional, prompt service, would recommend and would definitely use their services again. Thank you, Juan/Pacific Coast Home Services!

Day 4 of waiting for a callback from the Jim Wray (the supervisor), still nothing. We've left voicemails, emails, but still nothing.

As you can see from our previous review, we were told this was being taken care of according to Trishia the business owner, We truly do apologize and this is not how we operate. We do have our higher up management team looking into this and will do everything they can to make your experience better..

But as we are unable to even get a callback, pretty sure that's just a line that they feed you. No one from higher up management team has made by any attempt to contact us.

Looks like we are just plane screwed by Pacific Coast. We have open walls in our garage, open trenches on our exterior, un-serviced equipment, but still no call back.

Look elsewhere folk! Good reviews are good, but watch what happens when Pacific Coast makes little to no effort.

I did not hire PCHS. If you need HVAC, electrical or any home services make sure you get a second bid. My bid for an attic fan was $1450.00. I thought that was high based on neighbors I asked who had similar work done.

I got a second opinion from a highly rated HVAC installer for $750.

Not saying PCHS isn't good, since we did not use them...just get multiple bids.

I woke up this morning and found out that the outlets in our kitchen were not working.  I checked the house circuit breaker and I being elderly and non-electrician with poor eyesight didn't notice that the circuit breaker switch for the kitchen outlets, the washer, and the dryer tripped and were OFF.  I thought they were ON.

I called up PCHS and a technician came to our house to do diagnostics.  He asked where the circuit breaker was and I brought him to the garage where the circuit breaker was.  How I laughed at myself when he opened it and just switched back the switches to ON.

For all his travel, time, and effort in switching ON the switches in the circuit breaker, I was charged $393.75!  A valuable lesson for me!

Our toilets decided to stop flushing at 11pm on a Monday night. Inconvenient, sure - but when you have three kids you need to get ready for school the next day it needs to get solved right away. There are not many options to get help so late after hours - so we took a chance and called Pacific Coast. The operator was courteous and gave us a reasonable window of time to expect a response. Robert Barajas came out to our place at 1am and was exceptionally courteous and professional. Not only did he explain the process, his findings, next steps, costs and options but he was also very careful to minimize noise to avoid waking up the kids (no easy feat when doing plumbing work inside and outside of the house). Within an hour, flushing was restored and all was right again with the world.

Could not have been worse. They are dishonest, disorganized, and unethical.

Dishonest - Technician missed scheduled window. I was told I would be first appt of the day. When I called I was told he was stuck in traffic and would be there within 45 mins. There was no traffic. When I called an hour later I was told it would be another 30 mins and that he was stuck in traffic. Again no traffic. When I spoke with the supervisor I finally got the truth

Disorganized - The truth was that they had assigned an electrician for my service call and I needed HVAC (their mistake, I clearly told them I needed help wiring my new thermostat to my furnace).

Unethical - when the technician finally showed up (3 hours late), he quoted me $1,100 to run 30 feet of wire. I threw him out of my house. I have to wonder how many people this company has taken to the cleaners with outrageous quotes like this.

I ended up figuring out how to do it myself in about 3 hours. It wasn't pretty but it's done.

Don't ever do business with this company!

Our house had an old Bay Alarm system and, out of the blue, promptly began going off at 6:30am every other day. Since we had no account with Bay Alarm anymore they suggested calling an electrician. We were really lucky to get Pacific Coast Homes who came out on an emergency basis - arriving in 1 hour from when I called - and Wally completely took care of the problem in 15 minutes. They charged a very reasonable price too!

I hired Pacific Coast Home Services (via Angi) to remove three non-functioning wall heaters and then patch the drywall. Communication was excellent - I received text message updates and reminders. It was also helpful to receive pictures of the technicians before they arrived. I was able to schedule the work to be completed in a week (review and estimate one day, returned the next week to complete the work). The technicians arrived on time, were ready to work and worked fast! They were careful with my home and put down plastic to cover my floors. They showed me what they did, gave me instructions for when it would OK to paint. Really happy with my experience with Pacific Coast Home Services! Happy to recommend. :)

The folks at Pacific Coast were complete professional from start to finish of the job. The outcome of the work done solved the problems I was having within the house. All of the technicians that showed up for the job were timely and clear on what is being done.

Overall this was a great experience even though the inspection process by the city is something I wouldn't want to go through again but it was at no fault of Pacific Coast.

The tech did come wearing a mask. It was good practice in the COVID-19 situation. The tech is also willing to work on my issue. However, the tech sent to my home is not experienced in debugging problems. The price list of level-1/2/3 debug could easily add up to more than $1000 without solving any problem. I don't know if this is common practice in Electricians, but this is not good practice in my opinion.

In the end, I had to ask the tech to stop and paid him for his time spent debugging.

Pacific Coast Home Services were exceptional from beginning to end for an electrical upgrade/modernization project to my elderly parents' house.  At the outset and throughout the project, PCHS provided my parents updates and peace of mind every step of the way.  The project coordinator was incredibly understanding and responsive.  Likewise, each and every technician that worked on the project was courteous, focused, and hard-working.  They insured the project met or exceeded PG&E and County standards so that costly fixes/delays were avoided.  PCHS is a one stop shop for virtually every household improvement project and we were able to call on them for a plumbing issue separate from the electrical project.  We are very fortunate to have found PCHS.

Levi arrived a little early thank heavens, because so did the inspector, but he had us ready and we passed with flying colors.   Levi handled everything with the inspector put us all back together.

Not surprised, everyone who came out or whom we worked with on the phone were top notch. Because our home is quite old, the repair was extensive and a little expensive but well worth it. The change and safety in the house was huge. Thank you Pacific Coast!

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!! I tried to be extra patient with this company given the tough times we are all dealing with, but 1.5 months, 4 different technician visits and 1000$ later, our AC unit in the attic is still leaking water. Initial contact was made on August 17th. As of October 4th no fix yet. We had to go through 2 heat waves without an AC.

Background:

We had our handyman inspect this initially and he said the coil + the drip plate needed to be replaced. We contacted Pacific Coast Electric, Heating and Air to get the job done. The technician who came for the inspection completely ignored our handyman's report and diagnosed that the problem had to do with the drain lines that were leaking and also not being connected properly. Following this fix (cost us 800$) we observed that the water now started completely draining into our backyard through the secondary drain line and we also reported that we heard water dripping through the wall all night.

Another technician came to inspect this problem and reversed the drain lines. He also observed a potential problem with a leaky air duct not being sealed correctly and letting cold air escape into the attic. He suspected this was the reason for the water dripping through the wall. We paid another 350$ to get this issue fixed.

Two days later we observed water leaking through our living room ceiling all the way down from our attic (2 floors down!!). We had to contact them several times over the weekend to take a look and treat this as an emergency. After another inspection by yet another technician the problem was diagnosed as the AC coil needing replacement. (initially already reported by our handyman!)

Current:

We finally got an appointment with them a few weeks later for coil replacement and they call us on the day of the appointment to tell us they don't have the parts and need another 3 to 6 weeks!

This has by far been the worst company in terms of communication and service. I have finally decided to give up on this company and to contact someone else to get this issue resolved. I recommend saving your money and engaging with a different company for your heating and cooling needs!

100% Satisfied. I called in the morning and got lucky -- Jaime was able to come later that day. He was on time and understood exactly what I needed doing. I had messed up my wall pretty bad trying to install the dimmer myself. He fixed it up with attention to detail and neatness when wiring up my switches (something the original owners of the home didn't care too much about).

He worked with me to layout the work order that fit the price I was going for, and managed to do the whole job in about ~1 hour.

Then on top of that, he walked me through the work and taught me tricks for how I might have succeeded in doing this on my own.

I really appreciate all that he did. Next time I'll be asking for him by name.

Richard Castaneda came by our place after we experienced a few days of really weird electrical behaviour. He was professional and thorough, making sure he completely understood our electrical setup (it's really old and has had a few changes over the years!). He spent hours investigating the different connections, wires, and circuits that had accumulated over the years so he had a clear, holistic picture of the whole house. He was able to work his magic to restore power to our essential functions, which we are really grateful for.

Richard very patiently spent a lot of time explaining exactly what the issues were, how he addressed them, and walking through our long-term options options to address them. He sent really detailed pictures and videos documenting everything.

It's clear that Richard loves his job, is really knowledgable, and wants to help. We're really thankful for his work!

I was thrilled they could get the job done so quickly and efficiently! They showed up on time in Covid protective gear and got right to work. When they were done they cleaned up and then showed me how to light the pilot and operate the thermostats. So happy to have heat again! I have a circulatory disease and was concerned that I would have to wait several cold weeks for an install date. Pacific Coast and I signed the contract on Friday and the heaters were installed on Monday! Now that's service!

Raymond Porras was one of the best technicians we've ever worked with across any service we've had to our home. He was on time, extremely knowledgable, worked with us on a solution for our home, and was all around so courteous! Would highly recommend this company, and if you can, ask for Raymond directly as you won't be disappointed!

Also, the office staff are incredible. When I was going to schedule the appointment, they promptly picked up the call, were kind, quick and had an invoice / appointment reminder sent before we even hung up. This kind of customer service is so rare these days.

My thermostat died, called them right away in the evening, and Jeremy and John showed up the next morning on time.  They were on-time, friendly, and very professional.  Provided estimate on the diagnostics, identified the issue (faulty contactor) after checking everything else out, and fixed the problem.  I appreciated John explaining and walking me through everything clearly.  John and Jeremy were friendly and easy to work with, respectful of property, and had the expertise to solve the problem.  Will definitely call Pacific Coast for other services in the future as needed. We bought a new refrigerator and needed a water line for the ice maker and water. Our technician Juan was so here, gave us a decent quote and installed it in 2 hours. Then he checked all the water lines in our house (sinks, toilet, washing machines, etc). Then finished it off by inspecting our Hot water tank. I highly recommend using Pacific Coast.  I had an electrical issue with my lights and a couple outlets not working in my house and after asking for a request they reached out to me right away and was able to schedule an immediate apt.  Richard C. Came and saved the day.  He went above and beyond and can't say enough good things about him.  He actually took the time to explain what he was doing and why it broke in the first place.  Great customer service, attitude and professionalism while my dogs barked at him the whole time.  Highly recommend.

Sent a quote request on Yelp and only received a message to call them to get the quote. Called and the lady gave me the initial visit cost of $89 but said she didn't know the range of pricing for my issue. Understandable so I asked if she could ask someone else or one of the electricians, and she said they do not provide this information. Why? So I can pay $89 then be slapped with something that's $500+?? Shady business if they can't even provide general estimates. The lady even had the nerve to say other companies are more right for you then. What a B and a crap a** company.

They fixed the problem.  

I'm only giving them three stars though as their pricing model is unfortunate.  1 star for availability, 2 stars for the staff.  Minus 2 stars for fee structure.

The call out fee was high but it was a Sat on a holiday weekend and in the evening and I was not taking the time to researcher options - this is on me and not an issue.  They communicated schedule and the tech was on time in the planned window.

The Tech was quick to see the root of the problem was not a bad breaker.  So a level 2 repair was called for to ferret out the issue.  While a fixed price was appreciated, this was was over $450.  So now I'm in for over $700 in total for the bill.

5 min into the repair they found a hidden GFI breaker on 1 of 10 outlets that in over 5 years has never been used (So embarrassing).  Reset and problem solved.  A few minutes to inspect and all was well.   So let's do the math for ~30 min of work this is over $1400/hour rate.  

I would like to think at some point after paying $250 for the appointment.... and a 10 minute fix... there should be a little kindness in the final pricing.

I really would like to see some relief of the price paid.

Unless you know you have an actual repair (damaged wiring, outlets, etc...) - be wary of the fixed price model.

Normally I don't write reviews, but it is really meant to be a constructive feedback for the business.

I started off inquiring about their with the following message highlighting it is a ceiling AC system:

My condo has a in-ceiling heating/AC system.  When the AC is on, there is a slight dripping of water, which I suspect is coming from the area of evaporator.  Please let me know if you can help inspect it.

I then was told they could help and asked me to call the office.  On the phone, I mentioned that I have a ceiling system and I have a number of photos that I can send them to help the technician pre-inspect the issue before they come over.  I was told they they don't need photos.  The technicians are very experienced.  

The the technician showed up and immediately told us they don't service these units with systems in the ceiling.  

With COVID, wouldn't it be nice if we don't need this type of physical appointment if the other side would have just listened briefly what I said before the appointment. Not to mention the time and money lost associated with this no-op appointment.

We called Pacific Coast Electric to see if they could help us out with our issue, and they were willing to bring someone out to inspect our property. The customer service representative claimed that it cost $89 for inspection by the technician, and that it could be used towards a fix.

When the technician came over, he did initial inspection of our exterior panel. Nothing wrong there. When we asked him to inspect the attic, he did not heed our suggestion (even though it was where the real issue was). He ended up spending almost 4 hours testing other wall plugs throughout our house and could not identify the root cause of our electrical issues. In the process, he increased the cost of our inspection to $465 due to the more involved diagnosis (despite the $89 that the customer service representative claimed over the phone). And then he said that in order to solve our issue, we would need to spend $8k to install a new panel and sub-panel.

We paid the $465 for the inspection but we declined the $8k option because we felt like it was a terrible value proposition - and it did not actually solve the root issue. We found someone else who identified the issue and fixed it under a hour - for less than $200. And yes, the real issue was a loose wire - in the attic.

This is rather unfortunate because I went on Google and saw the positive reviews for Pacific Coast, but what I experienced was an inaccurate and overpriced diagnostic.

Our experince with Pacific Coast Home Services began with them installing our airconditioning unit earlier this year.. They did a  fantastic job..  They noticed that our electrical system had some issues that needed attention. We decided to have them upgrade our electrical box and mast head in addition to adding a transfer switch in order to use backup power in case of a power outage. Their attention to detail, customer service and follow up is
impeccable. Zachary Hartman always responds to any questions within a day and usually sooner than that. . I highly recommend their company..

I reached out to Pacific Coast Electric on Yelp to have a NEMA 6-20r outlet installed in my garage. They promptly replied and scheduled an in person estimate. The entire process was great and the company was very good at communicating when they would arrive, sending me texts and pictures of who to expect.  

Levi arrived and was very professional. Performing a thorough inspection of the panels. After performing an inspection, Levi provided me several options to accomplish my project. He made sure to make he aware of any pre-existing issues in my current electrical setup but didn't aggressively pressure me into doing it.

Levi came back a week later to install the outlet. I have since been using the outlet to charge my Tesla with no problem.

I really appreciate Levi being a direct point of contact I can reach out for any questions, being very professional, and prompt. I will definitely be choosing Pacific Coast Electric for any more projects.

Highly recommend anybody considering any electrical work to give Pacific Coast Electric a call!

Richard came to my house to help me see how to best charge my new electrical vehicle. He gave me very practical advice that potentially saves me hundreds and thousands of dollars. Instead of suggesting doing a rewiring of things, he recommended an extension cable could do the trick. That's a huge time and money saver. Highly recommend Richard.

I am reviewing the HVAC department only.  I have been pleased with Juan's service.  He and his guys have been professional, responsive, and honest.  I appreciate how he has tried to fix what he can. Whatever he couldn't fix, the replacement cost was reasonable and good old fashioned quality service.  So far I have used them to replace my 40 year old HVAC at my business and one of my AC compressors at home.  I never felt pressured into anything.  I was given options to repair or replace.   I have always felt like a valued customer especially after giving them so much work.  They have given me priority service when i needed it.  I highly recommend them.

We had an outdoor spigot that needed to be replaced.  Since it required soldering, I chose to have a professional do the job.  Juan was on schedule and did a wonderful job.  He was very professional, his workmanship was excellent (no leaks) and he was very neat.  He recommended and installed a shutoff valve which was much better than the one I was planning on using.  I'd rate him five-star.    

The cost of the job was on the high side.  They justiy the cost by checking your water heater (which was fine) and commenting on any plumbing issues you might have.  I could have done without the assessment.

Pretty weird experience.
I asked for an AC installation estimate, they sent a technician to take a look. No estimate after several days. Called in, was told the technician need access into the house to give an estimate, which the previous technician did not say anything about it. Fine, I set up another appt. One day before the second appt, they called me saying that there is only one free estimate so the second appt will cost me $89.
??? Is this company living on giving estimates, not installation?

Scheduled an appointment for an estimate. They provided a window from 9-11am and texted me a confirmation. Waited around for two hours and called when they hadn't arrived. They told me my appointment was scheduled from 11-1pm. After I told them I had a text saying otherwise, they apologized and said it was rescheduled to 11-1pm because the technician was finishing up another job but no one bothered to call me. Seems pretty basic...if you're going to change an appointment, it's common sense to let the client know.  If they are this unprofessional when trying to gain business, what will they be like when they actually have the job? Luckily for me, I won't find out...there are too many other reliable electricians out there that will actually appreciate the business. I guess my job was too insignificant for them.

We are converting our gas range to electric. The wiring was already present, but it was old and it needed a receptacle installed. I wanted a licensed electrician to do the work to ensure the old wiring was up to code and the work was done safe. For $90 Pacific did a responsible job of checking out the wiring and ensuring it wasn't going to burn down the house. But they wanted $1,200 to install a receptacle and a junction box under the floor, or $1,600 to replace the wiring to the panel.

I figured thanks, I'll get a handyman to do that job for $200. From the driveway, dude offered to get the job done for $1,000. In a moment of weakness I caved to the convenience. Though it turns out it wasn't $1,000 minus the service fee but $1,100 minus the service fee. $1,000 more than I'd already paid.

The job was done quick. The guy tested the circuit. And now I get to go buy a stove. The work was done professionally, on time, and at an obscene markup. I'd feel good about the professionalism but wasting so much money makes me feel dirty. Sometimes you get taken advantage of, but if that is a step to getting your family a kitchen that doesn't set then on fire, so it goes.

Worst.. My clients property hasn't cool from the ac Nd I called them for the service at 10:30 pm and they charged me over $200 for night service and I approved.  Once the technician came and he said need to charge me $900+ for the diagnosed before fill the freon.  ( I did ask why not just fill it)  and he said they just do the diagnose before fill it and I approved and get back to my car.  About 1 am he told me he is done and tell me total is $3450 and there is leaking fregon and that why there is no fregon at all in three condenser.  I asked my client next morning and they said only one ac is work and all other doesn't. I want to ask why he didn't tell be before they fill it if he know which is leak???  No ac and I still need to pay? The 15 LBS fregon cost less then 400 dollars and they make $1500 each hours x 2 and my request service doesn't work?  For sure I will talked to license board about this case and ask their advise.

This company will never receive my business. Ever again. Not my friends not my family members. The electricians that came to the house were not very experienced or knowledgeable. One would recommend something and another one would say the opposite. Work was done, and they still had to come back multiple times because our main complaint had worsen. They estimated 1-2 months for the work to be done, but over 6 months. Pathetic. I regret doing work with them. We put ourself in danger by allowing many different people come to our home. It should have only been a 3-4 visit, ended up being 10+ visits.

I don't recall the name of the woman I talked to on the phone, but she was very helpful in setting up the appointment.  The electrician sent, Jaime, was great about getting there and addressing the problem.  I have a small rental property and my tenant called me to tell me power had gone out in the bedrooms.  I called around and Pacific Coast Electric, Heating, and Air were the only ones who could get someone out that evening.  Jaime got out there, tracked down the problem, and corrected it.

But more than that, he was able to describe the problem to me over the phone such that I was able to begin making further plans.  My primary concern was safety and he addressed that.  But having it working was a very close second and he addressed that.  Long term reliability is also a concern and he was able to provide some realistic, solid recommendations to address that.  They weren't really what I wanted to hear, but they were exactly what I needed.

Given that this was after hours, emergency work, the cost was also quite reasonable.

Based on the recommendations Jaime made, I will be trying to schedule some extensive work sometime in the next year.  I guarantee that Pacific Coast Electric, Heating, and Air will be my first choice for doing the work.

Had an appointment today at 12-2. Get a call at 1 that they're running behind and will likely be 3-4pm. Ok. It is now 4:38p and still no tech. I call the company and keep getting the run around of how he was on an emergency call. Ok. You don't have anybody else to send out then? My original appt was 12-2. It's nearly 5 and now I'm being told it'll be after 5pm.

We had some outlets that did not work, and PCHS was really helpful in identifying and fixing the issue with our electric system. Both Jaime and Eddie were great: professional and knowledgeable . They communicated clearly and welcomed our questions. Eddie was able to fix the issue we had with ease and with minimal disruption (we were WFH while he was working). He also put back all the stuff that we had to move for him to reach the outlets. We are extremely happy with their work.

Very good experience. The technician, Caleb, was very friendly and helpful. Really happy with his way of trying to be helpful all the while.

The job took longer than he had initially anticipated, when he started working he found some issue which he had not expected with the HVAC. But he immediately got an appointment scheduled for the next day early morning. Showed up on time, and completed the job.

The people at the office answering the phone are also very polite and helpful.

Their pricing is on the expensive side, but the reason for low rating is the predatory diagnostic service. They charged the full diagnostic fee and couldn't find the root cause, and gave a quote for full circuit replacement when the true problem was just replacing a damaged switch box.

I hate leaving bad reviews.

But I think people should know how much this company overcharges. I had two separate work on different days by different guys done by this company, only because of emergencies and they were available.

1. One garage wiring job that was quoted for $700, was only quoted for ~$300 by another electrician with same material.

2. Another breaker that was temporary fixed for 5 days but need an entire upgraded panel was fixed by another electrician in 10 minutes.

They started out good but I told them my electrical problem is serious and they started the work, I got expensive emergency service. But now they're only doing the work in 3 hour pieces and don't show up till after it's already dark out snd the whole day has gone by. They are late right now. I have no idea when they will finish this. It's already day 3. Got me through the emergency but bad follow up.

We had top-notch customer service from the initial phone call to our visit by our electrician, Richard.  We had a set of lights and fixtures that went out after the first major storm this year.  It wasn't an easy job and it was interesting to watch him troubleshoot the problem and come to its eventual resolution.  All the while, Richard remained professional, patient with his explanations, and pleasantly conversational.  His work is most appreciated. I would like to thank Pacific Coast Electric Heating & Air  for the excellent service

Raymond came to install two ring (door bell and security camera) devIces and checked my heater (it wasn't going on).  I was very impressed how Raymond took the time to  explain the quote for both the ring and Heater.  I had another quote from another company and the other company was $845.00 more than Raymond's quote (apples to apples).

He install both devices, cleaned his mess and made sure to pick up all the boxes, etc.  Raymond even went as far as to help me set the ring devices on my phone.

He fixed my heater too. I would highly recommend this company and will use them to install more ring devices on my rental property.

I don't normally write reviews but in this situation, if it was possible, I'd leave 0 stars for this business as I had the worst customer experience and project mismanagement from day 1.  Here's a brief encapsulation of all that went wrong after I agreed to their initial estimate to replace the motor fan on my Lennox heater/AC and paid down deposit on future service.
1) Day of scheduled service, no appearance, and no return call after talking to customer service rep 2x throughout day to understand when they were showing up.
2) Next day, had to initiate another 2x calls to different customer reps with still no call back.
3) Finally 3rd day customer rep called that service was already scheduled next morning without checking if the time slot worked for my schedule.  Desperate to have the repair completed during one of the hotter weeks, I just accepted that I would work my day around their appearance.
4) Day of rescheduled service, another no show and calling again, I was told my customer rep that project manager had canceled my appt and rescheduled for another day without calling me and letting me know.
5) After I kept insisting the project manager to call me directly to provide me updates and status the project manager was always away from their desk but company reached out to initial estimator to lean in.
6) Initial estimator finally called and informed me that the 3rd party company supplying the replacement part had misquoted them the cost and the actual replacement 2.5x more than what they had estimated originally.  They also said the part was out of stock for another 6 weeks and no guarantee that they would be able to get their hands on one as the new shipments were already spoken for.

I asked to speak to his supervisor who wasn't able to provide me any satisfactory resolution to their continued non-communication and non-responsiveness and dramatically inaccurate estimate.  

After the worst customer experience of no callbacks, schedule, cancellation, and reschedule without informing me, and then losing all that time to find out that they couldn't help me in the first place infuriated me at the lack of professionalism and poor customer service.  I felt played.

I knew that Lennox was difficult to service and replace parts so I finally resigned myself to the fact that I would have to fully replace with another manufacturer but my experience with Pacific Coast exacerbated my frustration that I wanted nothing to do with this company and gave my business to another service to replace.

Only one customer rep called me back consistently to check that her company was following through but unfortunately everyone else at her company was inept or lacked the common decency to make things right for a potential customer.

I have been working with Pacific Coast Electrical, Heating & Air for almost a year. Last February (2020)  Richard Castenada came out to my son-in-laws Manufactured home and diagnosed a wiring problem and fixed it. At the time I tried 4 different electricians who all said that they did not work on Manufactured homes. During that visit I signed up for a Home Protection Plan.

Last week I received a call from Pacific Coast Electrical, Heating & Air scheduling our yearly maintenance check. Prior to their visit I received a Text telling me the name of the technician that was coming to our home.

On 1/15/21 Juan Galvan came out and dis a check on our Heating and Air-conditioning system and on 1/18/21 Richard came out and did an Electrical check. Both gentleman were very professional and showed up in a timely manner and had COVID protective gear. Our entire experience, from initial contact through the completion of the job went very smoothly.

I would definitely recommend Pacific Coast Electrical, Heating & Air  for all your service needs.

They came to checkout the AC which wasn't working. After the troubleshoot, they gave me three quotes, $3200 (a fix no warranty for labor or parts), $4000 (with warranty for x months), $15649 (an up sale to replace the entire system). I asked why the $3200 option doesn't provide warranty. They gave me an execute that the $4000 option will install an extra part which that they can't provide warranty. Then I asked them to break down the cost of labor and parts. Pacific Coast refuses to break down the labor and parts. I started to suspect their price.
I get another company to troubleshoot the next day. Their recommendation is the same as the Pacific Coast $3200 option ( replace circuit broad and thermo control) but huge difference in price. This company gives me a break down of parts $169 and labor $380, total $549 vs $3200 from Pacific Coast.

It's pretty obvious why Pacific Coast didn't want to break down the part and labor.

We had a great experience with Pacific Coast Home Services after there was an urgent issue with an old alarm system in our house on a Saturday night. After trying several other companies, we spoke to Pacific Coast who had a technician who was able to help us and they gave us frequent updates on when he would be able to come, including a text with his picture.

Daric was the technician who arrived- he was able to fix the problem quickly, checked various other things to ensure it wouldn't be an issue again, and was really kind and great to work with. He really seemed to care about his work and making sure he resolved the issue for us and we will definitely be calling him if we have  other electrical needs in the future. Called Pacific Coast to change a smoke detector. The technician removed the bad smoke detector and replaced it with one with a carbon monoxide alarm. He told me after installation he disconnected the hard wired smoke detector's (5 of them) and replaced them each with battery operated devices (he said that was all he had in his truck). If I wanted a regular smoke detector he'd have to go buy them and that would cost me more.

By removing the hard wire detectors he actually compromised the integrity of the townhome because the detectors are part of the sprinkler system. I was charged $300 per detector for a total of $1500. Carbon monoxide did not need to be in every room, only on the 1st and 2nd floors. He came on December 31st (happy new year). What a rip off to pay $1500 for work he admits only took him 1 hour! Call anyone to help you DO NOT CALL Pacific Coast unless you like getting screwed!

Very disappointed by the managing staff. Their work in our house started in March 2020 to replace an old circuit in our kitchen. The technician urged to change our electric panel too stating it was old( which had nothing to do with faulty circuit). All this work took months to finish to which we wouldn't complain because of COVID. But now the project manager Sabrina is not picking my calls when I asked her to send some guy to finish sheetrock work and to give us the certificate of survey completion by the City official.

It seems fishy that by leaving several voicemails to Sabrina and whenever I talked to other persons ( Heather, Sarah and one more) all of them said Sabrina was not in her desk at that time. I gave them number and message to pass on to Sabrina but I haven't got call from her. And it's been a month of me doing it.

This is my last attempt to get the attention of the owner to respond to this problem. By seeing that they charged us very high around 9-10 k by adding extra work and have not seen it to completion after 8 months and avoiding my calls I am highly disappointed with the office staff. Their technicians were good but our work is unfinished due to incompetency of project manager Sabrina.

Pacific Coast Home is a scam! They showed up for an appointment and quoted me more than 3 times what I ended up paying to a licensed and insured electrician, and they charged me $89 for their visit. Other electricians that I approached provided me a quote for free and all were much much lower than Pacific Coast Home services which I was referred to by Angi's list. I always had good lock with Angi's list and trusted them, but no longer would I fall for an $89 scam to provide me a quote and trusting Angi's list. They will not refund me even though I had bids 3 times lower than theirs. Stay away from these people, they are dishonest people and having satisfied customers is not their priority and they will not last to support their warranties.

Sunday, August 11th:
I contacted PCE asking for a quote for a relatively small job.  They responded quickly, asking me for my phone number.  They called me that day - on a Sunday - to setup an appointment.  So we were off to a great start.

We scheduled an appointment for the following Saturday, August 17th.  
At this point, I was extremely pleased: Quick turnaround, and convenient weekend scheduling.

Saturday, August 17th:
The technician showed up within the window I was given.  He called ahead of time to let me know he'd be showing up.  He evaluated the situation and gave me a reasonable estimate which would include the main work as well as repairs to the sheetrock once complete.

I agreed to the price, and he got to work.

A few hours later, the main work was complete.  It had been completed efficiently, accurately, and for a fair price.  The technician let me know that somebody from PCE would be in touch with me soon to schedule repairs to the sheetrock.

I trusted that somebody from PCE would be calling me to schedule the work.  I had no reason to doubt them, as their customer support so far had been excellent.

The next 4 business days (Mon-Thu) came and went with nobody bothering to contact me.  I finally called them on Friday.

Friday, August 23rd:
I called PCE and the response sounded good.  I was given a name of somebody who would call me back.  And that person did call me back.  But then I was told I'd need to speak with someone else to schedule the sheetrock and that person never called.

I waited until almost 5pm and then called PCE again.   I was told that the project manager would give me a call first thing Monday morning.

Monday, August 26th:
Project Manager did not call.  I called PCE again but too late in the day, missing the PM.  

Tuesday, August 27th:
The Project Manager called me.  She put me in touch with the sheetrock specialists, who texted me about their schedule.  They came to my house later in the day and completed the sheetrock work within a couple of hours.  It did take a bit of prodding from me, but the project was completed just over two weeks after my initial contact.

Bottom Line:
Pacific Coast Electricians is a good company.  They are honest and they care about customer satisfaction.

Their most significant problem is that their employees are human - And humans are prone to making mistakes sometimes.   If they promise you something like a phone call, you may need to maintain a little pressure to get what they promised.  But they'll come through.

I intend to use PCE for my future electric work, and recommend you do the same.

It's so difficult when you trust a company with your home and they continuously disappoint you. I'm living my worst nightmare with a company midway through a project and failing inspections at my cost. I am unable to get help from a manager and feel as though I have no options. Wish me luck as I am 1.5 years into an electrical panel upgrade with no end in site. I hope this review saves others from experiencing this type of service.

Disappointed with my appointment yesterday. I called requesting a technician to visit and give me an estimate for a project. No problem, appointment set.

The tech showed up and said that it would be $500 to inspect the property and then give an estimate. There was no mention of this over the phone, and it felt like a bait and switch. The tech was also quite salesy and insisted on giving us a pitch for the inspection and future work.

We declined the inspection and after a little persuasion the tech did give me a rough ballpark figure. I appreciated this as it meant our time was not completely wasted.

The best part of all of this is the quality and customer service of all their technicians - Ray Ibanez, Gabriel Gonzales, and Juan R for the water heater and Justin Sanchez and Angel Perez the electrical guys. Do you enjoy paying someone $89 to drive to you're house and do absolutely nothing else? Then this is the company for you! If you expect any actual work or even something as simple as an estimate expect to pay FAR more.
Contacted these people along with several others looking to have an electrician inspect my attic space. I'm getting new insulation put in and was advised by my Hvac person that there were some exposed wires which may need to be dealt with before it was safe for him to work. This company was able to come the quickest so I chose them HUGE mistake.
Called and explained what I was looking for someone to look in the attic and advise me if anything actually needed to be done and if so what and how much? Essentially an estimate. Was told it would be $89 to have them out to look at it an go from there. This seemed reasonable as the other electricians I had talked to quoted me between $100-220 to come take a look at it.
Guy shows up I explained again what I was looking for and he goes out to his truck. When he returns he has a tablet that his their standard attic inspection fee of $970 on it and says this is how much it will cost! To have him look and give me an estimate not for any work. Of course I sent him away after laughing at this nonsense and called the company back right away. The person who answered seemed confused and agreed that I should have received an estimate for the $89 I had already paid. They wanted to reschedule. I declined that and asked for a refund. She took my info said it was being passed along to billing and said I should see it in a week.
A week goes by and no refund so I call back. Again someone takes my info and says I will hear back. Get a call from the person I scheduled the appointment with originally and she says it was explained to me this was just a dispatch fee and that was it. She says I won't be receiving a refund as it is non refundable. This of course is not what she said when I originally spoke to her. She also claims she couldn't tell me how much it was going to cost in advance even though the tech claimed it was a standard inspection fee.
I call again trying to speak to a manager and they won't let me. They claim he answers email faster than calls. I hope that's not true as I emailed him a week ago and have heard nothing back. Apparently I will have to dispute the charge with my credit card.
I ended up having someone else come out who did the inspection and minor repairs need for ONE TENTH of what these clowns wanted to charge me just to look at it.
DON'T USE THESE LIARS! Hire anyone else unless you like throwing money away that is.

We called Pacific Coast Electric to see if they could help us install a new outlet.   They sent someone out to inspect the problem. The customer service representative advised that it cost $89 for initial consultation.   The $89 counts towards the final cost of the job.

The technician arrived on time and called ahead.   I showed him the job, which involved installing a 30A, 240V outlet.   He looked at our power panels and measured the conduit runs.  

All I was looking for was a quote.   Instead I got a steady lecture about why we needed to install new power panels (at very high cost).   In the end, I got a quote that was about double the next highest quote.  Also included was a quote for upgrade of our main power panel.  

He wanted my signature on a number of forms.   I had just asked for a quote.   I signed nothing.   I paid my $89 by check and sent him home.  When I got the text asking for feedback I tried it.   The first question was who the technician was.   His name was not one of the choices.  The next question asked how satisfied I was.  I said not very.   They asked for a phone call to discuss it.  That would work.   I did not call.

This company has some positive reviews.  I'm glad some are happy with them.   I am not among them.

Our wall heaters broke down and we decided to get ductless mini-splits system. The electricians they sent were awesome. Omar and Eric did a great job! Every day they explained to me what they were going to do. Then, at the end of the day, they showed me videos of the work they did,  they would clean up everything neatly and leave. Both of them were very respectful and professional.

I had a tech leave in middle of job without completing work I paid in full for and I still have issues. Failed inspection then charged me to find the issue which they knew before hand but wanted more money. Never, NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY.

My family and I had a very difficult experience with Pacific Coast Electric, Heating & Air. We had smoke in our house soon after our daughter was born. A technician came out on a Sunday to inspect (which was nice because we were really concerned), but it was not clear whether he found the root issue.  Anyhow, it ended up feeling like they were trying to suggest upgrades to the extent that the root issue of the smoke didn't seem to get addressed until mid-week after we asked many times whether root issues was being addressed.

Anyhow, we had to leave the house with a 3 week old and our 2 other kids, and it was not pleasant. I understand the money is in the upgrades, and my landlord was nice enough to agree to the upgrades, but it would have been nice if they would have found and solved the root issue before doing all the upgrades. This way we wouldn't have had to move out with 3 young kids right after our newborn was born.

I spoke with the CEO, and he was more understanding, which I appreciate that he heard me out, so the 2-star review instead of a 1-star review, but it was a very hard experience for my family and also my landlord.

We had a Richard and Raymond come out from the electric team this week and they were very prompt, knowledgeable and quick to spot and fix the problem. They took the time to explain everything and present us with options for moving forward.

We also had Adonnis from the Hvac team come to fix our aircon. Again, he spotted the issue quickly and easily and was able to fix it within an hour (which was really appreciated as it was in the 90s today). He was also kind and friendly and great with our pets :)

Overall, we were thrilled with the service for both electric and air and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pacific Coast to anyone!

This company doesn't make sense! I needed help with the installation of a $90 ceiling fan. They replied to my request from yelp asking me to call them. Had a great experience yesterday with Pacific Coast Electric, Heating & Air. They were able to come within 24 hours. We didn't know what was happening with the upstairs AC so they had the technician (Larry) come out to check things out. He immediately knew it was an electrical/power issue and immediately dispatched out their electrician (Eric) and within the hour he had made it to the house. Eric was very fast and found what electrical needed to be fixed and replaced. In no time, we were back up and running!

Both guys were fast, thoughtful, and genuine.

called to get an estimate on how much it would cost to install a smart Thermostat. told me they would need to send a tech out to give me price. not only do i need to pay a service fee to have them come out but they could come out and charge me more than normal and if i say no im out the service fee money. saying i dont have the cost or im not a tech i dont see how hard it would have been to text or call one of their techs since everyone has a cell phone now a days.

I loved the rapid response to my request for an appointment, and found the Electrician to be prompt, friendly and highly helpful.  Darrin called to see if he could come early, rather than just showing up (applause) and arrived when he said he would.  I had two challenges for him: I had a mystery intermittent circuit failure that he diagnosed in about 5 minutes, and then a second project to install an additional outlet in my garage.  He completed the work neatly, quickly and effectively.

Now that pesky problem powering my tankless water heater and new irrigation controller are solved!  So happy to have one more project off my list!!

Used this company. Got to meet two great employees. Jonathan Garcia explained everything that was going to be done and the options I was able to choose from. Then Regie Ico who installed the system. Not only did Regie install the house fan in a timely manner he took the time to leave my home the way he entered it. I had the worst experience with this company.  I asked for a quote on installation of smoke detectors back in December of 2017.  They sent a technician out named Ryan who meet me at my home and decided he needed to look at my fuse box and start tightening screws without turning off the power, of course this caused a power surge and which damaged property in my home.  After the incident Ryan was very apologetic and promised to have all items damaged replaced.  The replacement check was sent to me 7 months later and with that I needed to get an attorney.  Terrible customer service with many calls to the people in charge and never a return call, wait one return call from David Glover Jr the day after the incident where he told me to purchase all items that were damaged and send receipts.  After his call to me in December, I
never heard from anyone again from this company until i hired an attorney.  When the incident happened I asked David to come out to my property so he could see the damage himself, but he declined.  So if you are in need of electrical work, DO NOT hire Pacific Coast Electricians, they made this fiasco so much worse than it needed to be.

Pacific Coast Electricians gets 10 stars from us.  What a wonderful company we chose to do the rewiring of the home we've lived in for 57 years.  We had no idea who to call so came to Yelp for help. PCE was at the top of the 5 star list and so that's who we chose.  Lucky us, it was the best decision we could have made!

Eric could easily have saved our lives.  When he came out to assess our old electrical wiring, he smelled gas.. and with our permission he reported it to PGE.  They came right out and sure enough, there was a leak.. which we immediately had repaired.  So thank you Eric, for that.  

Thank you, Dave, for coordinating the details of the job.  We couldn't be happier with the result.

Levi Mentz was in charge of our job and we can't praise him high enough.  He has restored our faith in human nature.. that the younger generation does have people who are kind, respectful, and are oriented to making people, aka the customer, happy.  That was the norm for our generation and something you don't see a whole lot of today.  We sure are going to miss him, but feel like we've made a lifelong friend.

All the fine young men that worked with Levi were equally special and appreciated.  They all raved about working for PCE and that says a lot about  a company.  I would list their names except I might overlook someone and I wouldn't want any of you to feel left out.  You all know who you are and each of you has our most grateful thanks and appreciation for a job well done.  I know we will think of you all every time w plug something in an outlet, or turn a light switch on.

What a horrible experience overall. Give your local handyman a call instead and for big projects work with different company.
Called them for a broken breaker replacement at home. I was told that there will be a dispatch fee, which can be applied towards the job.
The technician reached the site, and started to dig around the box. First he said that he will have to do the diagnosis. This diagnosis will cost about $450 and once he knows whats wrong, he will bid on it to fix it. At this time I am completely lost, what I was told was that with dispatch fee, he will come take a look at whats wrong and will quote. Here I am being charged $450 to know what is wrong. It was then told to me that there will be a diagnostic fee for all jobs and only after that there will be a bid, which was mentioned nowhere. I clearly refused to move forward with such a company. Now, comes the fun part, where they demand the dispatch fee. At that time I declined to pay as they are not operating in good faith.
An year later, they started calling again asking for the dispatch fee. Finally I have given in, and have paid them their dispatch fee, for no work done, an evening wasted, and a horrible experience overall.

Eventually went with another local company. They fixed the problem, including adding a new breaker for the load, for less than 250.

Great job guys! We called them to fix an issue with a failed circuit and after Francis ran the diagnostics, we found that it was a bigger issue, eventually  resulting in an upgrade from a 100 to 200 amp main panel with all the bells and whistles...while also converting the sub-panel to a junction box and installing a dedicated circuit to the bathrooms with GFCI breakers as well as a dedicated circuit for the kitchen refrigerator where the problem started.

Craig was the main technician and he was a pleasure to work with...always courteous and efficient...as were the other techs who assisted him.

The front and back office team (Sarah and Sabrina) were always able to schedule appointments to suit my schedule and Susanna also helped coordinate inspections and appointments with sub contractors who were also very professional...Ron who repaired the drywall and Miguel who repaired the stucco when the 100 amp panel was removed. All work was done per building code and the inspection passed without any issues.

I would highly recommend Pacific Coast Electricians for any electrical work, big or small.

Omar was really Quick and friendly. My grandson's really wanted to help him and he showed him his tools. The job I needed done had to do with a refrigerator leak which went under the floor boards. He fixed and changed out the lines and a leaking spiket in no time.

I had a very good experience with Pacific Coast Electricians today.

The circuit breaker keep tripping since a day ago and cause our fridge to go down every 15 minutes. I made a call to PCE, Sabrina was very friendly to find a technician who can be arrive at my house 1 hour later to take a look.

James Glover was the technician to my house. He was very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. He was able to quickly identify the breaker that caused the problem, and did more diagnose to ascertain the solution. He did give me 3 options. One is changing just the problematic breaker, second is to create a new panel offloading some circuits, and the third one is to replace the complete panel. I had to say the prices are at higher end based on the numbers I collected so far, but in the end James gave me a very decent discount and helped install the replacement breaker, to solve the problem for now and leave us more time to think about the other options.

I am definitely happy with James and the company. If you want quality work to be done, this is the company you can trust.

Prompt and professional, the technicians of Pacific Coast did a great job explaining the levels or repairs, what's included with each level, and quickly completed the work as agreed upon. Take's time to understand how the circuitry works, especially in old houses like ours, but our technician, Richard, was patient and went through everything thoroughly to make sure we understood his recommendations and work.

We are in the middle of making a whole remodel and Mr. Nasser came out to give my parents a quote. Nasser was the 4th person that day but none did what he did.  Guys came in looked at furnace and left . Nasser was different, he measured and took lots of pics. In addition, he explained to my parents very well for them to understand what needed to be done and why. He also actually went under our house to check the tubes. I was skeptical at first because I want to make sure that my parents dont get taken advantage of  but with Nasser everything felt very comfortable. They are doing something right at pacific coast and im sure my parents will be moving foward with the project as I can fly back home knowing they will be in good hands!

We have used Pacific Coast previously for electrical work and were extremely pleased so we contracted with them to tune up our furnaces (we have two) and do a complete cleaning of all the duct work (we recently finished some major renovations). The work performed by Eduardo and Jesus was outstanding; both were professional, courteous and the neatest technicians I have ever seen.  They arrived right on time and kept me informed of their progress, they even put new vent covers on for me.

This company provides creative solutions- we collected 3 estimates before calling out pacific coast.

We were shopping for the best price and our estimate from Eric ended up being a much different bid than the other two electricians because Eric went up in the attic and found that the last electrician took some shortcuts. It was good to know what the condition of our wiring was and worth the 89 dollar evaluation fee to see where we stand.

Most contractors come in, look around for 5 minutes and email a quote. Eric was at our house for over an hour and was able to really lock in all the details and that put my family at ease to know that the work was actually defined before starting work.

Two days later on the scheduled install date we had two technicians arrive on time, tarp our living room and walls, finish work in the exact time frame promised, and even mop our hardwood because a little dust got through the tarp. We didn't even ask they just went and went the extra mile for us.

The lighting looks great, works as promised, and our technician even programmed the smart switches to our phone for us.

Strongly recommending this company. Everyone we met was very courteous, friendly, and great at communicating.

Pacific Coast is by far the most professional company I have ever hired.
I needed an electrician originally because of an extreme static problem in my home. Turned out to be a lot more. First night Frances and Manny  came over to look at my house, they started changing out the dangerous old plugs and switches. The place probably would have burned down without their help. It was a very big project and much needed. I had a new panel and all new plugs and switches installed. These guys worked around my schedule. I was so grateful that I could go to work and have Manny come in and do the work without me there. I totally trusted him. He never once let my animals out. So now my house is rewired and grounded. What a huge relief. I recommend this company to everyone with electrical needs. Give them call and they'll answer the phone! They took all of my calls day and night.

We had our air conditioning go out during September  and had a furnace that was not too far     behind and we went out to find our best options to repair/replace our old systems.  We contacted 5 companies and in the end after considering all of the options we  made the decision to select Pacific Coast Electric, Heating and Air.  We are so happy that we made this choice. From our first introduction to the company through David Earl who looked at our system and provided us with various options that reflected our concerns about efficiency and costs it was most positive.  His follow up and answering my many questions and concerns was awesome.   On the day of installation Omar and Eric worked professionally and displayed the highest concern for not only the installation of the system but safety in the COVID19 world.  They came out on a Friday and after realizing that the wrong furnace had been loaded  in the truck they rectified the situation by having the correct furnace being delivered and rather than return on Monday they came back and finished the job on Saturday.  On Saturday when they left you would not know they had been there, except for the new equipment and improvements made to ensure our concerns,  as they a great job of cleaning up!  Of course we will not be using the air conditioning for a while,   but we have tried the heater already and are most pleased with the difference of the new system and the work that Omar and Eric did to re-tape the ducts that made us  now realize how quiet the system can and should be.  Sorry this is so long but I want to also make sure that Sabrina  receives her props for great and friendly customer service with her direct and timely communication on questions on the invoicing and  project.   Standing ovation all the way around!

I called 2/7/19 in desperate need as I have been trying to get an electrician to my home for a small job, new outlet and bath-fan.
After trying different people over a 12 week time frame.  I called these folks and am I glad
I did so.  I called got a very polite professional and scheduled appointment  with in 4 days of my call.  
I was prepared for it to be to small a job for them to bother with or some insane price or a long weeks waiting to have the work done.
Not what happened..... 2/12/19 appointment day day AJ  was who they sent, and he was timely professional. I already had the new bath fan and needed a outlet put in for a new plasma tv wall mount on an old path and plaster walls.

Before this project, I knew nothing about installing an Electrical Panel in a house. Now I can tell you what it takes to install a proper panel. The reason is that Pacific Coast Electricians (PCE) has essentially forced me to do all the project planning, coordination, and quality control for them because they assigned us ill prepared technicians and paid no attention to permits and inspections. I have had to understand the difference between a flush and surface mount panel and the differing requirements for the stucco process and the City and PG&E permit processes. Why us? We paid an exorbitant amount. I believe that they assigned their weakest technicians because our home is in Alum Rock, San Jose.

I am updating my review... After 4 months, this project was finally completed to my satisfaction.

Electrician companies around the Bay Area are incredibly unprofessional. However, this company has some of the best overall customer service skills I have seen period.

Representatives are very friendly and attentive to needs. I had an estimate done within a day and the work completed two days afterwards.

The electrician, Eric Nordoff, was insanely friendly, knowledgeable and funny. His work was quality and was kind enough to explain what he was doing and what the cause of the problems are.

I highly recommend this company for residential or commercial needs. And if you have Eric as your technician, you will be satisfies with his level of workmanship and professionalism.

Jonathan came to my house to repair a melted neutral bar and he was absolutely amazing. He was very nice and explained everything multiple times and was patient. He reassured us of everything he was doing and made sure we understood that everything was being done the right away and he worked for us and not the insurance company. He did an emergency fix for us and set everything up for us to get the sub panel replaced the next day. Unfortunately he didn't come the next day but the electrician that did come was amazing. He was really polite and got everything done as soon as we can and did a great job. These electricians show that they care about us and are truly here to help us and not just here for the money. I really appreciate them!

AJ came to check on all the outlets and made sure everything was done properly and was kind enough to go through everything with us as well label the breaker for us temporarily while he sent the list to get laminated. He was really sweet and had a great energy to him and was really easy to talk to. I really appreciate him coming by and doing such a great job. He gave us some tips and advice on what to do and what not to avoid doing. Overall a 10/10 guy and even went out of his way to accommodate one of us and turned on the power in one room first after checking it out to let my roommate use his computer. Super thoughtful!

I never write reviews, even bad ones, but I want to give a warning to anyone who has done business with this company, specifically Susanna Soto of the SJ office.

In April 2019, I  called Pacific Coast Electricians in San Jose to discuss the problem with my dimming lights whenever a big appliance is turned on.  The tech showed up, we agreed on a price and I Signed up. The next day when the electricians failed to show up after waiting 3 1/2 hours, calling numerous times  (which I had to do, they didn't even bother to get ahold of me) I decided to cancel my contract -well before the 3 day limit according to their contract AND federal law-. For most companies this wouldn't be an issue, but Susanna withheld my down payment claiming they had already spent $743 of my money on a permit and they cant get the money back, plus they're charging me a  $350 diagnostic fee. After a week of going back and forth, I contacted the CA State Contractors License Board, the woman handling my case told me they weren't even supposed to spend my money until after the 3 days have passed! the whole purpose of the 3 day rule is to protect customers from this exact situation. Also, I contacted the SJ permit office and was told the permit was $199 not $743 as Susanna had said. I was also told they can cancel the permit, again, not what Susanna had told me.

Needless to say, thanks to the CA State license board I got my money back within a few hours after she had contacted the owner of the company. I also received an apology letter (I had asked for it) from Susanna, but, and I'm laughing as I type this because it's so ridiculous, she completely omitted the fact that I was upset with her for scamming me and instead chose to pretend that I was angry solely because of the no-show electricians.

I had high hopes for this company based on all the positive reviews, but your manager tried to steal from me and god knows how many other customers, maybe your company should think about that.

Look, I'm not a fighter, and this entire ordeal caused horrible panic attack's, but I'm glad I went against my instincts and fought back. Even now writing this I was hesitant which is why it took me so long, but It is unacceptable to take advantage of customers.

Pacific Coast is the most trusted electrician service provider I've ever experienced in US!

I found them thru HomeAdvisor.com, they are very professional and efficient from the 1st contact, onsite estimation, followup scheduling.

Today, Alfredo and his colleague arrived on time to my place, installed two new wall outlets and a TV wall mounting flawlessly! They also kindly helped us to fix some minor needs like replacing a switch to a smart one without additional charge.

And they were also very fun to talk, we really enjoyed chatting with them!

I have utilized the services of Pacific Coast Electric, Heating & Air twice over the past year.  I found the service to be reliable and prompt  All staff and were technicians I interacted with were friendly and professional.  My first interaction was with James during an evening when my circuit breaker tripped and I could not get it back in service.  James came out the same evening I called and fixed the problem promptly.  James also gave me a quote to replace my sub-panel.

My second interaction was with AJ when I called to have the sub-panel replaced.  The process to schedule the work was easy.  AJ came out and explained the scope of work and pricing.  The work was scheduled for a few days later.

My third interaction was with Reggie and Jonathan replace my existing sub-panel.  I cannot commend Reggie enough for his attention to detail, precision workmanship, and patience.  Both Reggie and Jonathan were professional and answered my questions and concerns.  I definitely will make Pacific Coast Electric, Heating & Air my go-to company for my electrical needs.

Pacific coast provided us with the initial estimate service. The booking  and scheduling process was very easy and also reasonably priced compared to other service providers in the area. Before the the technician came in, they sent a small bio of the the technician. I really liked that as it helps knowing who is coming at your door.

Everything you're reading here on Yelp about PCE is on point and not exaggerated in any way - they are extraordinarily professional, polite and the quality of the work is second to none.

The quality of the work is fantastic with minor details accounted for and every cable, cornice, plug and everything else in between set exactly as one would expect with very high standards, and I have very high standards(!)

Now for full transparency PCE are not 'cheap' by any stretch of the imagination - however I can say in the strongest possible terms that when they do the work they do it once and it's going to last much longer than i'm around and that long after you pay the bill you will be happy with the results.

So if you care about your house, your property and your livelihood (they do a lot of work, including for us to remove dangerous cabling etc) then you're going to call them, you're going to engage them and you're going to know that the job is done once and it will be exactly what you want and need.

Fantastic Service. I'm thrilled to have found an electrician & company that I can trust. I called Pacific Coast Electric at 8 am on Friday and Ray arrived by 9:30 am.  He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me - a real gem.

I purchased the Home Protection Plan membership, which was very affordable. Normally, I shy away from these plans however since this plan waives the cost of future dispatch fees, $89+, a 15% discount on future services and a free 52 point electrical & 83 point heating inspection report for when I sell/buy a home in the future, this was a no-brainer.

I plan on selling my home in the next 6-months and having a comprehensive electrical & HVAC report for a 30-year old home, will be of value to a prospective buyer.

Got the job done, but tried to rip us off.
## Update 8/15: Their reply denying this is untrue. Details further below. ##

We had Romex running directly into an appliance, and we wanted the wire to be terminated with an outlet box, instead. My wife first spoke with Pacific Coast Electricians, who quoted her $500-$1,600 for the job (the top end of the range was for a dedicated circuit). So, I called and asked for the same thing and got quoted $375-575 (the top end of the range, again, was for a dedicated circuit). Apparently, I didn't sound as easy to rip off as my wife.

When I asked why he was proposing a new circuit, he said it would be better. When I asked Why? What else is on the circuit? he said he didn't know (I knew it was just a couple light fixtures), so I asked for them to just simply terminate the existing run with an outlet.

Next I grilled him about the $375. I asked if he needed to install conduit, and he said no. I asked    him how long it would take to just add a box and outlet to the existing wiring and he said an hour. I knew it wouldn't take that long but I also didn't really feel like finding another electrician, so I let that be and said, I don't understand why you're asking for $375 for an hour of work and $15 in materials. He gave some BS about quality and warranty. Considering it's licensed work, the minimum quality he's allowed to do is more than fine. We ended up agreeing on just a couple hundred bucks, well under the $500-1,600 they first quoted my wife.

Tricia from PCE replied via Yelp on 8/8 (and updated on 8/15) to claim that they were not the ones who treated us so poorly. That's untrue, I double-checked my invoice to verify that it was from them. She also misunderstands the quote over the phone. The electrician was on site, I called him while he was there to follow up on the quote he gave my wife.

I found them from yelp. After giving them 7-8 weeks to fix things. I finally decided to give them a review.

I had water seeping from the ceiling in my kitchen, I called them and the

1. head guy says what is wrong, gives a quote. Two guys come and do something in the attic to fix it. I thought issue resolved, NO.

2. Again water coming from ceiling, same head guy comes, says angle of solder is bent and should be straight. Again 2 guys come and fix something in attic.

3. Again water coming from ceiling, head guy comes and saying whole HVAC has to be replaced, quoting thousands. We schedule a date and they work on it.

4 when they finish, they made a mess on my wall which they are supposed to clean up, after calling three times, (over a 2 week period)

5. Scheduled today for 9 am. It's 9:33 am, no one shows up.

6. They took the keys to my attic and when I pushed for my keys dumped someone else's keys.

Do not pay them 100% upfront until everything is done. Else they give you the run around to fix stuff they messed up on.

I reached out to get an estimate on an outlet / breaker replacement and installing 3 motion detection outdoor lights.  They gave me an estimate in 24 hrs. and then scheduled time with me at my convenience to sign the contract, (7am to accommodate my work schedule).  

Regi, the electrician showed up on time, was very professional and completed the job.  I had one adjustment I wanted, and he came out the next day to make the modification.  I could not be happier with their professionalism and responsiveness.

Jonathan was very professional, clean and friendly.  He hard coded three smoke detectors and one heat detector.   I asked him about changing an outlet from two prongs to three and he did it for free.

If I ever need additional electrical work I would gladly seek his advice and help.

I could have given this company 1 star if I did not give them one more chance after they had a no show and could not figure why they missed my scheduled time slot. The admin apologized and tried to arrange a makeup on the following day.
At that point, I started calling other companies to see if they can come immediately and I did get one to come to do the initial inspection at that evening.
however, the other company's electrician could not find the root cause and promised to come back next afternoon but hinted it could be very involved and expensive.  

I wanted to fix my outlets and breakers asap so I kept the appointment with Pacific Coast Electric next morning and was told Eric will be the electrician.
I got the text and then a call from Eric to let me know he will be coming 2 hours earlier than his scheduled time. I was surprised but gladly he could have come.

After his arrival, I let him know what happened and he informed me that they have a new Admin on the training and apologized that this normally doesn't happen.
He was very thorough and listened to what I've found so far from the initial finding/investigation from the other electrician and explained in details how he would approach this. He walked around the house and my garage to check on both circuit breaker panels.
He found the root cause in 30mins and fixed it and put everything back as it was. He also fixed another broken GFCI switch in my bathroom which hasn't worked for years.
His 12 years of professional career definitely shines through this detail orientated inspection and great work.

He did not even charge me after he told me he charges on the project/workload and he also thanked me sticking with Pacific Coast Electric after their initial hiccup on scheduling.  

He also gave me a detailed plan on how to install Tesla home charger with lock/key with proper wiring from the main panel after letting me know that they are Tesla approved installer.  I will definitely come back to Eric when I went through with the purchase.

5 stars all because Eric saved the day.

We had James Glover of Pacific Coast Electricians come by today and do a home electrical safety inspection, recommendations and estimate for further work. He was on time, thorough, personable, clearly highly trained, and in every way a professional.

He taught us a lot about our home electrical situation - which includes a fair amount of old knob and tube wiring. He did a 52 point safety check of our electrical panel.  The estimate we received was in the ball-park of the higher-end electrical companies.

If you're looking for well-trained, professional-level electrical work for simple or complex residential rewiring - I believe this company is worth considering. They may not be the cheapest in town - but they obviously have their act together.

My outlets in bathrooms lost power, and Pacific Coast Home Service agreed to send a electrician to have a look. They were very flexible on the time. Jaime Chavez showed up on time, and quickly did some basic checks of breakers etc, but did not find anything wrong. Before doing more complex diagnoses, he searched and found a reset button, which fixed the problem. He did not charge me at all for all the work. I am very happy with their service.

There were some issues with my A/C unit. It turned off just a few seconds after running. I called Pacific Coast and they sent Richard, who is an excellent electrician. He helped me replace the disconnect box. He also did some diagnoses on the condenser unit to determine what may have gone wrong with the unit. He then called Adonnis, an HVAC technician right away to set up a same-day HVAC inspection and repair.
Adonnis did a great job fixing the capacitor and Freon issue for my condenser unit. He was very patient and answered all the questions in details. He also walked me through all the steps taken for the repair. With excellent works from both Richard and Adonnis, we were able to have cool air again, great experience.

A few weeks back, our air conditioner broke, right in the middle of a heat wave. I contacted PC electric heating & air and was greeted by a very nice lady. She couldn't get me on their schedule immediately, but was happy to schedule an appointment for me 3 days out and allowed me to cancel up to the last minute if I could find someone sooner. I wasn't, so ended up sticking with my appointment and was glad I did. Noah was my electrician and he came with another colleague. He messaged me with an ETA and a picture so I would know whom I would be meeting at my door - useful, especially during the pandemic when everyone is wearing masks. They did a great job of fixing my air conditioning, which gets them high marks, but I was just as impressed with Noah's willingness to explain the debugging process they went through. He was very articulate and also gave me some tips about using my A/C. This was the second time we've had problems with our A/C unit in the few years we've lived in our current house, so I was concerned I might have to start thinking about replacing my unit and talked that over with Noah. While Pacific Coast also does new installs, and could probably have earned more money encouraging me in that direction, Noah was very contrite with me and told me not to spend the money if I don't have to. He walked through the other potential failure points and said, it was worth waiting a bit longer before making that decision. He did a few things that would make it easier to diagnose a potential future issue. They were super respectful. I told them I hope I don't have to see them again, because it would mean my A/C is working, but I wouldn't think twice about using them again if my A/C did fail.

My smoke and carbon detectors were going off every 30 seconds. Pacific Coast Electric was the only one that recognized my sense of urgency. Others wanted to help, but couldn't have anyone there for two or three days. Of course that was unacceptable with this blaring going on in my home. Pacific Coast electric, heating and air had someone at my home within two hours. The technician who arrived, Noah, was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. He fixed the problem in no time! I left PCE a message last night about my dead oven and microwave.
Got a call back from a courteous live lady (Sabrina I believe) 1st thing this morning offering a visit today.
James Glover came when scheduled (note it was a 2-hour window too, not a 6-hour as is often the case). Sabrina updated me several times to let me know what time he was expected, which allowed me to get grocery shopping done while I was waiting.
James is friendly, polite, professional, has a good sense of humor, and thoroughly knows his stuff and explained patiently and clearly to me in detail exactly what was wrong with my appliances and breaker box and what could be done. All my questions were addressed.
I had a great experience and now James' card is in the place of honor on the fridge. Will definitely be calling this company again for any electrical issues.

We added AC to our house which required a new furnace.  Everything went very smoothly and turned out great!  Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable and got back to us right away with questions.  Very COVID safe as well. Eric installed recessed lights in our family room. I really liked this experience from the very first moment because he took the time to have a good look at the requirements on site, made a detailed estimate and was flexible about dates and times. Even if this was a comparable small task (it took around eight hours), he gave us all options on material and installment.
The results are of course also excellent. The lamps he picked look very nice and there is absolute nothing to complain about. Also cleaned up nicely afterwards. I am pretty sure that he'll be my first choice for the next electrician job!

I had a power surge that killed my AC but everything else came back on.  Unlike their competitors, they don't charge to diagnose the problem. I thought it might be the fuse but the technician said that he needed to get his HVAC colleague because his specialty was electrical and it wasn't a fuse or electrical. Since he was there, I asked for a quote on some canned lighting that needed repair but he never sent me a quote, even after a week.
A 2nd technician came shortly after and told me that I needed to replace my blower motor but that it had to be special ordered and that they will call the next day to let me know when it comes in and can install it.  They wanted to charge a hefty fee but they never called me back, so I had to call another company. Fortunately, their competitor gave me the same diagnosis and was able to get it installed for half the price. I can't stress how important it is to have great customer service because they just lost a customer.

I HIGHLY recommended Pacific Coast to anyone who needs electric or hvac service. I contacted Pacific Coast to see if I could install air conditioning. They were able to schedule an appointment later that same day, which is awesome. They send a photo and bio of the technician coming to your home so you know who to expect. Adonis was very helpful in explaining my options and what advantages certain setups have over others. He was very patient and answered all my questions and concerns. Great guy! There was an issue with the electrical panel and he called an electrician to come take a look. Ezekiel was able to meet us right away and help us find a solution, which he did. Where do I begin. Yesterday I had James Glover come out for what was supposed to be, just a test of my elderly mother-in-law's outlets and switches. It turned out earlier in the day that the electric cook top I had ordered to be delivered and I THOUGHT installed in the morning was dropped off by the delivery company who DID NOT do installation. Here I took a day off to get as much work done on her house as possible and now one of the main goals was not going to get finished. Then it struck me.... it was electrical... perhaps... just maybe I could tack this on to the electrical work I had scheduled later in the day. A quick call to the dispatch and they confirmed they could do installation. SAVED.

I don't think James really knew what he was in for... it turned out the old stove top had been 1/4 smaller and that the hole in the counter needed to be enlarged to fit the new one. He took a moment to assess the situation and what tools he had and he got the job done, no complaining, great attitude. He even dealt with my mother-in-law's pestering as she tried to help. Honestly my mother-in-law can be very distrustful of strangers as well as hard to be around as she gets a bit underfoot and asks questions she cannot understand the answers to (her English isn't great), but James took her in stride and she was calling him Jim by the end of the day, all smiles. He cleaned the mess from cutting the counter nicely and even hauled the old unit away.

As for the quality of his work: He walked the whole house with me, testing each outlet and explaining anything I had a question about. He was always happy to take the time to explain what the problems were, not just fix them. I'm fairly handy around the house and have  replaced my share of outlets over the years and he could tell I wasn't just idly asking. He knew I'd feel better about the work if I knew what was going on.

He replaced one outlet that had been shorted, and informed me that the space heater my mom-in-law had been using could easily short the whole line since her wiring is old and not meant to handle that sort of electrical load. He even took out one that he had recently removed from another house that had been shorted by a heater to show her so she could understand the danger. She doesn't speak English well so the visual really helped get the message home that it was dangerous and she shouldn't use it anymore.

Again super happy to get the work done the day of, despite the surprise cooktop installation. Price seemed very fair to me to have him there for about 4 hours. The whole visit totaled a little more than 525.00 but again his great attitude and getting the work done the day of was worth far more than that to me. Thanks again! Would definitely use again and hopefully we'd get James again.

Called these guys after my washer hose broke while I was out of town. They came out, gave reasonable estimate and completed the job quickly. The technician Juan was very knowledgeable and friendly. They did some work in my Grandma's home. She's extremely picky, cheap and bossy but even she loved these guys! They took the time to explain what was going on in her panel and why she needed to get it fixed, they answered all of her questions and showed her exactly what they would be fixing. They let her know which technician was coming (David Earl) and his ETA which made her feel comfortable knowing exactly who was coming into her home. They gave her multiple options on repairs and didn't guilt her into the highest price. Instead of a simple fix they quoted for a full replacement! We had an emergency where the heater was not working on a new construction unit. The blower motor sounded loose from a poor installation. The builder was not responding due to COVID-19 and would not come out. Fortunately this company came out quickly but instead of just fixing the problem they bid for a complete replacement. The builder sub finally came out and tightened the screws. Easy fix, not a $2000+ replacement!

They started off great and I bought their expensive VIP Care Package, where I was told they would come out and and help with tripped fuses, a problem for my old home. The house needs to be rewired and grounded. It's a big job. I was hoping I could trust them with my business. A couple of weeks later I called them because I was having problems. I was told there would be the usual service charge. When I explained I had the VIP Care Package, they said they still have to charge me for coming out. Then why buy the expensive VIP care package? What's the point? They never returned my calls or emails for a refund. They never came out. Maybe they do good work, but I didn't like that I spent over $400 and didn't receive service from them, nor a refund, nor a call or email back. BEWARE!!!

AJ came out on Tuesday to change one outlet and ended up changing two. This company answer my Saturday request on a Sunday, while other where too busy or costs too much.  He was on time and did his safety checks. AJ took longer to resolve my issue, because it might not installed correctly from the beginning (since 2003). After some troubleshooting and rewiring, it all worked out. He was very courteous and patient. I highly recommend this company and use them again if needed.

Save yourself a ton of aggravation and use a different electrical company. At fist, PCE offers excellent customer service. Then they miss appointments, 'forget' to file claims with insurance, and therefore overcharge the customer. I was told the reason my service was $7k was because they were submitting to my insurance and I'd be guaranteed to only pay my $1k deductible. Imagine my surprise and frustration when Bill and Josh screwed up, lied to protect themselves, and I was hit with a major bill. Be aware; this is a group of fraudulent shysters.

Pacific Coast installed a new sub-panel, and replaced all the electrical outlets in my family room in one day.  They were careful to keep things neat as they worked and removed all the old hardware.  All three technicians were neatly dressed in company shirts when they arrived, and were very polite in all my interfaces with them. I called to get a free estimate for a Tesla Wall Connector installation. I was told there would be a $89 dispatch charge that will roll over into my payment if I chose them to do the job. I was able to get the fee waive, stating other companies are giving free estimates. Little did I know... because this estimate was offered for free... they sent someone with probably zero idea of what needed to be done and was not even able to give us a quote. All he did was took a bunch of pictures on his ipad to upload and send it to a technician that could give us a quote. We spent more than 30 minutes trying to get the pictures to upload with no success. He promised a quote will be sent to us that same day in 1-2hrs after he left. We waited... No quote given. I left Patricia, the owner, a message on yelp to see if she could help. She said she will get a quote sent out. Days later... no quote whatsoever. It is obvious that they did not want my business nor cared to explain why I didn't get an estimate. Wonder if because it was a free estimate they didn't bother with it. I am glad to bring my business elsewhere... Waste of 30 minutes that I cannot get back. Unprofessional, Unreliable, complete disregard for the customer. I would NEVER do business with this type of establishment.

This company came out to do an estimate for a panel replacement.  They charge a fee just to come out and give an estimate. They really tried to play up the danger in our current electrical system and use fear to get us to sign.  Their offer for service was initially triple what is the going rate for this service is elsewhere. I felt very bad about the whole situation and the estimator wouldn't promise the same price unless we signed that day.  These guys way overcharge for the same services you can get elsewhere.  I had multiple other electricians come out and give price quotes that were literally half of what this company's best offer is.

This company will charge $89 to dispatch an electrian  , to trouble shoot they charge $350 . Nothing was done except he gave us a $10,000.00 quote for rewiring the sunroom !!!

Excellent work done! Several outlets didn't work at my home. They checked the panel and all outlets, they also opened up to check the problems until they fixed all the outlets. They did great cleaning work after fixed the outlets and even help me to throw my trash. Raymond is very professional, and he also recommended not using some electric appliances which could cause fire issue in bedrooms. I'll definitely choose them again if I have any other electrical issues later.

I called in out of desperation! I had just had a bunch of family over and when they left I noticed i had no way to turn my thermostat on! I immediately looked for reputable companies to come out and figure out the problem. Everybody was either busy or super expensive!  I get Christina from Pacific Coast on the line and not only where they able to come out for a descent cost but she helped me figure my issue out over the phone! I told her my story and she asked me to check my furnace door before she went ahead and booked the call. I go and take a look...and the door wasn't properly latched. Once I latched the door...boom! Everything was working again! We had a little laugh...come to find out something similar happened to her before! I will use this company in the future! No unnecessary diagnostic fee and friendly service!? I'll take that all the time!

I paid Pacific Coast a fee of $89 to come out and fix my electrical problem. I was told they apply the amount to the labor. After checking out the electrical panel, the technician said it would be $560 to check out the rest...calling it a diagnostic testing! Other than checking the electrical panel, no switch plates were removed or checked to see where the problem was. When I asked him to check it, he said it would only be covered if I paid for the $560 Diagnostic Check and they did NOT do anything by the hour, only by the job. I am a senior and found it $560 to be outrageous!!! I am on a limited income and $560 seems extremely unreasonable. Would not recommend this company! It should be made clear BEFORE how their policy works!!

I do property management work and was very fortunate to have come across  Pacific Coast Electric, Heating & Air and given them a call. I'm not totally sure this is the right branch for the review, but I needed someone to check on a thermostat and HVAC system in Pacifica. I was scheduled quickly and professionally, and the service provided really helpful customer service like giving me eta text notices and a picture of the scheduled technician that was coming.
The tech, Noah, was great- he was knowledgable, and even though the original trip was just to take a look at the thermostat connection, he went ahead and completed a HVAC diagnostic for me, checking temperatures coming out of the registers as well as digging inside the furnace after seeing an old service notice on it that raised his concerns, just to see if there were any deeper problems.
He gave really useful information and provided me with estimates for routine maintenance as well as upgrades if wanted, but I never felt like I was being pressured into taking on services.
I was very happy with the service provided and would definitely  recommend Pacific Coast Electric, Heating & Air.

Bought a smart dimmer to control some recessed lighting through Alexa, and thought I'd be able to handle it myself no problem.  After realizing I had overestimated my skills, I was left without light in our master bedroom.  Called around and Pacific Coast Electricians called me back promptly, and was able to get someone out to me on a Sunday!

Eric, the technician they assigned to me, called me ahead of time to let me know what time he'd arrive, and kept his word.  Eric was able to quickly diagnose the issue and correctly installed my new dimmer, even talking me through the software set up.  Eric also talked to me about the wiring in my home, showed me different types of wiring connectors, and helped diagnose some other issues I was having.  

Couldn't recommend this company more, and especially Eric for being efficient and incredibly helpful.  This is now my go-to company for future remodeling / electrical work.

I wanted to install a doorbell camera, I usually do most of the stuff myself, but my house dis not have a 16-24 volts outlet required by most door-bell cameras.
So , I got couple of quotes. Selected Pacific Coast Electricians because they seemed very genuine. Scheduled an appointment and they sent Craig. He was very courteous. He finished the project on time and stayed until we got the door bell to work.
He had to remove a section of drywall , but he patched it with a temporary one until they send a drywall person to re-do it and apply texture.
I would do business again with Pacific Coast Electricians.

Had power loss to a few bedrooms and to my furnace. Pacific Coast Electric Heating and Air was recommended to me by friend. I gave them a call set an appointment, Ray showed up on time and was so helpful and polite, and really seem to love what he does. He was able to restore power rather quickly and even explained thoroughly why crimp connectors are so bad, he vacuumed the areas he worked on and wiped down my floors, WOW! Great company, who seems to only hire the best. Definitely would recommend Pacific Coast to anyone in need of a great electrician.

I rarely write reviews but after my experience dealing with this company, I feel that I have the obligation to write one to warn Pacific Coast's potential customers about its unethical practice. I was able to determine that this company was not honest because I later hired another company to undo what they did and fixed the real problem. My AC was not powered up. I called this company up for a repair service based on its overall excellent Yelp reviews. They sent Patrick to my house for diagnosis. He looked polite and professional. He measured the AC's power inlet and discovered that its voltage was too low. He measured my electric panel and said that he needed to dispatch an electrician from the same company to take a look. Before you read what they did to me below, the real problem was just because the AC tripped the circuit breaker in the electric panel. Patrick did not reset the circuit breaker before he requested an electrician. The electrician, Chad Hurlbut, called to request to come to house 2 hours ahead of the original appointment when I was still at work. I agreed and allowed him to access my backyard when I was absent. When I got home, Chad already pulled up all of the circuit breakers in my electric panel and said my panel was very bad and dangerous. It had caused fire before and might cause fire again. He even performed a stunt to cause an electric short fire to scare me. A short can be created, for example, by pulling out a circuit breaker and touch its brass contact point to the panel. He and his boss David Glover were on the phone for a while and told me that they needed to replace the electric panel immediately and the quote is $12,000. I negotiated it down to $9,000 and still felt the price was too steep based on the time needed and my estimate of the cost of a new panel. It was already late that day and the work would not start until the next day. Chad said he could only try his best to restore my power as much as possible for me to cook if I signed a waiver. Indeed he did not restore all the power for my appliances and said the reason that some of my appliances did not power up because my panel was getting bad. Chad pulled two of my circuit breakers and no wonder that some of the appliances could not power up. The next day I called them not to come to my house and I hired another diamond certified electrician company to diagnose my electricity again. The new electrician concluded that my panel was fine. He installed and reser all my circuit breakers. All if my appliances could be powered up including my AC. But my runing AC tripped the circuit breaker and that was the root cause of my problem to begin with. The AC short was because of a bad capacitor. A few hundreds dollars fixed the problem. Out which $495 was spent to undo what Chad did to my electric panel. If I needed to replace the electric panel, the quote I got from this new electric company was $4,000, not $12,000 or 9,000. I gave Chad and David the $900 deposit using my credit card. I requested it to be returned to me the next day. David mailed me and said he did. But after I received my credit card statement, David did not refund my deposit. I mailed him and Chad back about this and they never replied. That is, they still have my deposit for a work they never did and I did not want them to do. I am disputing this charge through my credit card company now.

This contractor got added automatically to my service request to a different contractor. The response to my request suggested to call their office, and when I did, I had to explain my job requirements again (what's the point of writing them in Yelp then?). They charge a hefty estimate fee, so I don't think I want to proceed.

Called for an emergency repair- the charge was 150.00 to take a look.  Was told no problem and then the electrician went TOALLY incommunicado- no answer/no response.  It was waste of my money!

We had a ceiling fan installed today by Miguel and he did a super job.  He was on time, polite, conscientious, competent, and just a nice person.  We chose an option where Pacific Coast Electricians provided the fan, and Miguel explained how he had chosen the fan and switch, based on a photo he had of our previous fan.  He gave me an estimate of how long it would take to install, and he was spot on.  The fan matched the previous fan very well (which is what we wanted) and it worked great.  After he was done, he showed me how it worked and watched me play with it so I could be sure I could operate it.  Then he cleaned up carefully.

We've been customers of Pacific Coast Electricians for over a year, and they've done several jobs for us.  We've been very happy with their work.  We belong to their customer protection program which has saved us money and helped to get quicker appointments when we needed something done soon.  Pacific Coast Electricians seems dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and a safe home for their customers.  I highly recommend them.

They are a rip off. For a part that cost $200, they quoted $600 and an additional $600 for the labor. Since the part was covered under warranty, i only had to pay the labor and that too just $60.  On top of this, they recommended changing few extra things and gave an alternative which in their opinion is the best which is to replace the entire A/C unit for close to $10K. Well i got that fixed for $60. Very poor work ethics.

Pacific Coast electricians, are without a doubt the best electricians in the Bay Area. I am a former employee that had to leave for personal reasons, so what I say is unbiased. From an internal standpoint, you will never find a group that is so dedicated to its clients. At previous company's, I had always been used to being the ONLY one that took pride in my work. When I was introduced to the Guys at PCE, I quickly realized that everyone shared this value. They not only take pride in their work, but they constantly try to improve. At PCE, being the best, is not good enough. At PCE, there is always something better. There is always something safer. There is always a more efficient way to do things. There is always a way to improve, even though they are already the best. But I guess that's why they ARE the best. That to me is why this company gets 5 stars. Because to them, doing the right thing isn't just an option. It's an obligation.

The competing electrical company's won't be around much longer because of the corners they cut, and they know this. That's why they don't warranty their equipment. PCE warranty's everything because they know it's quality and they know they are going to still be thriving as a business. If you are wondering which company to go with, choose PCE. There is a reason they are the standard authority in their field, and it's because they are the only ones pushing for more. Pushing for greatness. Pushing for the future.

This past weekend, we had fuses blow out affecting the electrical outlets in my garage and all the bathrooms.  I honestly thought uh oh - this is going to be expensive.  I called and was given the option of having someone come over the weekend or the next available appointment.  I had resigned myself to having someone come on the weekend and pay through the nose, thinking that was the only option vs waiting weeks and weeks for an appointment.  To my surprise, I was told that the next opening would be that Monday between 3-5 pm!! I couldn't believe it.  I was equally delighted to have Raymond Porras text me at 3:30 to say that he was on his way and would be here in 25 min!!  He arrived wearing a face mask and shoe coverings, and immediately saw what the problem was with my fuse box.  The issue was fixed in less than 30 minutes!  The cost? $89.00.  That's it.  Truly amazing service, very reasonable cost and the service was just top notch.  Thank you Ray!!  We'd definitely use your company again.

Did a job with Zeke and Eric. These guys are very professional and thorough. I've worked with hundreds of contractors and don't give many reviews on them but I was very impressed with these guys. Had to use their service on a weekend. The response was fast and the electrician efficient and friendly. I would have given them a 5 star for that.

But the company's price is way too high. $249 extra for getting service on a weekend (that's ok as I understand it's a weekend), but the job itself (only took 20 minutes, including inspecting the problem) was almost $400. That's the most expensive electrician service I have ever had -- The final price was $32 per minute!!!

To give a reference point, I had an electrician from another company working on a bathroom fan a month ago. Took him over an hour (had to go to the attic) and only charged me $150.

In response to Tricia's comments: Three outlets in one area of our house didn't work. The electrician didn't need to do your 53 point inspection. He went directly to the electrical panel. There were not even 53 wires to check in the panel. Let me add the 4 screws, they still don't add up to 53 points. It's common sense that if the electrician only needs to work in one area to solve the problem, why should he go through your so-called 53 points?

I can't say enough wonderful things about this company and the Emergency service that I received.  I lost power in half my house at 2am, was in a panic since I need power for my elderly father. After calling several other company's that stated they were 24hrs and not being able to get through, I called PCE. They anwcered and had some one out to my house with in an hour!  Fortunately,  the the gentalman was able to solve my problem and have power resolved promply. They explained my issues in a way I could understand and gave me piece of mind that the issue was corrected and not going to happen again. I love that they guarantee the work that they have done...you don't see that alot now adays.  Price was a little steep....but we'll worth not having to worry and knowing that I will be taken care of! Service was amazing at all levels.

David Glover, Master Electrician and Comfort Specialist for Pacific Coast Electricians, inspected my charred ceiling and wiring and told me I was at serious risk for fire.  He signed me up for a new electric panel and arc protection that would keep my house safe, sent out a couple of teams that did most of the work and collected payment which he said would be reimbursed by my insurance company.  Part of the service, David said, was that I would not have to hassle with filing my insurance claim:  Lacey Heustess would take care of filing the claim and all of the photos and paperwork.  Two months and at least a dozen phone calls (as well as unanswered voicemail messages) to David, James Glover, who managed the project, and Lacey, as well as multiple calls and emails from my insurance company, have resulted in only polite conversation where I am assured they are working on the report that my insurance company needs in order to process the claim.

I'm not an electrician, but as far as I can tell the work performed is solid.  Until PCE files the report for my claim, however, I am out a considerable amount of money.  Their service is wonderful up front when they want you as a client:  friendly, crisp white shirts and clean vans, quick response, even putting on booties when they enter the house.  But once they collect, it appears they have little interest in seeing that the insurance claim is completed so that I can be reimbursed.  I cannot recommend them.

Wow!  All I can say is the service at Pacific Coast Electricians is stellar.  

Our power went out a couple of times during the storm this week and when it was restored, only half the house actually had power.  I called PG&E, but there were no outages reported in our area. So I called Pacific Coast Electricians at 7:30 the next morning and Anthony Alvarez was on my doorstep before 10AM.  He determined that the problem was actually with PG&E and he called them to request the repair. When the man from PG&E arrived, he met with him.  In the meantime, he found that our old electrical panel needed to be replaced. (It was 30 years old, had insulation material leaking and had been overheating.)  We agreed to the project and the wheels were set in motion. PCE pulled the permit from the city, dealt with PG&E and was ready to go the next morning.

Rogelio, Ryan and Guillermo worked at our house for 2 days.  They were all extremely pleasant and professional and just really good-natured. They appear to really love what they do and they are very good at it.  Rogelio even dropped what he was going to help me carry some recycling to the car when he saw I was struggling to carry it all.  How nice is that?  

I believe the company to have a high level of integrity--I never felt as if I were being up-sold or pressured to have unnecessary work done. The quality of work is excellent and the level of customer service is unparalleled.  I liked them so much, they will be my go-to electricians from now on.  I actually have other electrical work that needs to be done at the house, and I will have them back as soon as I can get it scheduled.  I'm very grateful to have found them and I recommend them in the highest possible terms.

But in my experience getting a repair estimate (from Julian and one other) and new unit estimate from Nasser, these guys are the only ones who have answered my calls right away and come exactly when they said they would come (with email & text before).  So far, they are outrunning the competition.

Asked the company to come out to give a bid on some simple installations (ceiling light and EV charger). The person who came out spent most of his time looking for additional things to repair and telling us how hard the installs were (in fact they are simple). Then went to consult with his boss (eg smoke in his truck) and then gave us a multi-thousand dollar quote. They clearly did not want our business and have not earned it.

We have worked with PCE for several years now (our house was built in the 60s and has needed LOTS of electrical work) including one project to rewire so we could put in an electric port for our electric prius.  They are fantastic.  The last service they had to investigate in a tiny crawl space and noticed several problems right away, one being some faulty plumbing that was causing a puddle we had no idea was there.  Rats had chewed through wires and were causing our kitchen appliances to blow fuses rendering them useless.  We spent several days trouble shooting and finally fixing the problem with rewiring.  They also work with the best dry wall guy in the industry - Ronnie, at Hole in the Wall drywall.
PCE schedules right away, communicates very well, and looks for ways to provide the best services.  The company seems cohesive and actually caring to their employees as well as customers.  We will continue to have them on speed dial as we navigate all things electric in our house.  Thank you!

Our refrigerator and everything on its circuit went down.  We called and were able to et an appointment for the next morning.  Levi showed up on time with a smile and helpful attitude.  He put in a separate circuit for the refrigerator and fixed some outlets also, all with a continuing helpful attitude.  He even helped us throw out the machine that caused the circuit to break.
I told him that we are considering getting more electrical work done, and because of his service, Pacific Coast Electricians are the first people we've called.

I had been having odd electrical issues in the house I rent for a few weeks when suddenly all the kitchen outlets, the oven, furnace, washer, and almost all the ceiling lights went out-including the second floor. They would come on when you turned a stove top burner on.  Called PCE and they came out for a reasonable cost to diagnose for my landlord. They ended up bringing out a Master Electrician to look everything over. Called PGE because it was a pole connection issue. They did correct a couple of things that were in need of attention. Very honest, thorough, and polite. I would recommend them anytime!!!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars.  Our experience with Pacific Coast was fabulous from start to finish.  Francis came to the house to walk through our project (replacing outdoor lights, replacing the transformer, and adding additional landscape lights) and was thorough, professional, and thoughtful.  The entire project was completed a week later.  Levi was our technician and was amazing.  He was on time, polite, professional and did an exceptional job.  He walked me through everything twice, and completely cleaned up and removed all debris (boxes, old lights, etc.).  

I highly recommend Pacific Coast.

I had a truly great experience with this company. As most of you know, the trades are all overly busy right now, so it's hard to get a contractor to come out and do work. Our usual electrician who I have done work with for over 6 years won't even answer our calls anymore because he is so busy. I tried calling several places before calling pacific coast, with no luck. Finally upon calling pacific coast, I was greeted by a nice lady and she explained the company's process. I was honestly put off slightly because it was so systematic but honestly it ended up being super straightforward and I am very pleased. Our new electrician, Erick nordoff arrived 1 minute early from the time we were told he would, he covered his feet and heard out my wife and I before diagnosing. They charge a dispatch fee of 89 which was a turn off at first but after Erick took us with him through our whole house, checked every single plug and switch, combed through our panel and informed us of the active fire that had taken place in our garage electrical box while we are expecting a newborn... we are so grateful. He saved or home from a potential catastrophe and at no point did we feel like we had a sharky salesman trying to take our money. The experience was educational, we know where our home stands electrically and we are getting a new electrical box that our insurance is going to refund the bulk of the cost for.

The work isn't cheap by any means. My
Father in law called around and found similar work a few hundred dollars less. However, We wouldn't risk our home being worked on by any other company but pacific coast electricians. This is 100% the company you want if you want true experts and service in an era where service is dead.

I cannot say enough good things about this company and particularly Nick Miller. He arrived a minute or two early and waited until our scheduled time to knock. He identified my problem within 5 minutes. He patiently and thoroughly explained all my options - I'm not in that business so I had lots of questions. His depth of knowledge and recommendations were spot on because I had another estimate later the same day and the 2nd company confirmed the problem but only recommended the most expensive option. My heater stopped working and Pacific Coast & Heating we're able to come out the same day and diagnosed my problem and came back the next day to install the part I needed and had my heating back up and running within 24 hrs of my call for help. Tech Christian was assigned to do a PM on our heater and AC unit. He was such a pleasure. He had great communication and described everything he did. He found a few little things that needed repair, but never pressured us or used scare tactics to push the repair. I would like to give 0 rating for the quality u guys provide, just for a visit  your technician charged me $225  for just spending 2 mins at my home and the problem was very minor which is a switch got put off by mistake to just put it on $225 is way too much. I had an electric emergency this morning, I saw some spark come out of my smoke detector. I called in Pacific Coast Electrician and they got me technician sent out soon. Eric Nordhoff was my technician and he was awesome. he did inspected my electric panel made sure everything was well check the burnt out smoke detector (looks like it was too old). He did great job replacement.
Eric seems to be very knowledgeable and was answered all my electric questions and helped me . very nice technician.

Working with this company is very easy and they communicate through text and email and even better update the arrival time of the technicians with a photo of the electrician included, so you know who to expect. Eric Nordoff  provided great service today and is our new go-electrician.  He arrived early, and inspected and efficiently fixed a number of electrical issues both inside our older house, and outside.  He was friendly, efficient, and intelligent.  Although he was here for an hour and a half the price for all the projects was well under $200 (more than the quotes for most electricians to just walk in the door).  Because II instantly trusted him (and I don't normally do something this ridiculous), I didn't push him for an estimate, figuring he would be fair.  He just went around fixing issues (or saying they were fine and didn't need work), and then at the end he gave me the pleasant surprise of a more than reasonable bill.  He's also a great advocate for his company, and talks about how they pride themselves on good customer service.  I'll say.  I will be a return customer!

I just had to have my house rewired (well new breaker box and new main upgraded box) I chose Pacific Electric because all of the Yelp reviews were good. I called and they said they didn't service Oakland but they were soon to open servicing for the Oakland/Berkeley area so they came out.
I had three estimates prior to choosing theses guys and although they were a bit higher in price they took care of EVERYTHING. One of the quotes I got was much lower but didn't include the scheduling with PGE, the stucco repair, the parts etc... so be sure you are comparing apples to apples when you get a quote!!
They explained everything that would be happening beforehand, they sent regular emails to remind me of service dates and the work went so smoothly. They showed up on time and did everything they said they would and everything happened on schedule. I would highly recommend them for any electrical job you have. The guys I had out to the house were Eric (loved him) Riccardo, Reginald, Noah (so very nice) and Eddie, all were very professional and knowledgeable and put up with my dogs investigating everything they did. My neighbors are having electrical done and they have been waiting for PGE for a couple months.... just saying... Pacific Electric was totally on top of PGE and made it happen! Only one day w/o electricity and it was back on by 5:30 pm!! They also send little bio's of the electricians so you know who is showing up and you know a little bit about them before they knock on your door. Bravo and thank you so much guys!

I contacted pacific coast electrical and they were supposed to be highly rated by home advisor. Spoke with the despatch girl who seemed nice and setup an appointment on a friday. I had to work from home to accommodate the appointment but the electrician never showed up. When I called them they made up an excuse about some emergency and then reset it to Saturday morning. Once again I changed my weekend plans but again the person did not show up because someone else had an electrical emergency. Obviously this company doe not value their customers and I would never bother dealing with them. If you need an electrician, look elsewhere.

They are probably good for new installation. I approached them for HVAC service. I have a 7 year old trane HVAC. Conventional (& internet) wisdom says they are atleast reliable for 8 more years.
The representatives checked condensor coil & evaporation coil and declared that condensor coil is leaking refrigerant. The best part - I was shown a spot in the ground inside the condensor unit and was told that was the leak. Refrigerant leaks & evaporates - doesn't leave stains like oil.
After a long winded pitch they ended up saying that it is not worth to repair the condensor (which is true if it is actually faulty, not in my case).
Apparently they are a Lennox preferred dealer & tried quoting me a $10k replacement system. They quoted $650 just for 3lbs of refrigerant recharge which is way above the market rate.
I ended fixing the problem with sealant & refrigerant recharge which cost me $500 all in all.  
3 stars- they were courteous & polite throughout the interaction; easy to schedule appointment; Arrived on time. Approach them if you have finalized on installing a Lennox system - may be you will get a good deal.

And learn about the appliances in your home; understand their maintenance schedule & weak points. Don't be like me - calling every HVAC tom dick & harry on a hot weekend like a mad man.

I just moved in to a new rental house where the outlet for connecting the dryer is 4-prong vs my dryer is using a 3-prong. I called Pacific Coast Electrician and they made me an appointment and send Richard to help me. I asked Richard if I can just replace the power cord of the dryer to 4-prong instead of changing the outlet from the wall which actually was a much easier job for him because he has it in his van already. He offered me the same price for changing the cord and went to Home Depot to buy one immediately, came back and replaced it. In the end, he also helped me installed the dryer exhaust pipe which isn't really his responsibility, but I asked, he did it so that I can just start using my dryer right away. And it's working perfectly now.

I contracted Pacific Coat Electricians for three large projects in my home which Josh, Reggie, and John completed diligently and on schedule.  Work involved  replacing the outside garage light and switch, overhead florescent lighting and switches in the garage, and reconnecting a break in the series of outlets in the living room,.  The outside garage light comes on at night and is out during the day.  The overhead lighting in the garage comes on as soon as I enter the garage from the inside of the house or when I exit the car when I come home.  HomeAdvisor.com had recommended Pacific Coast Electricians, and I am glad I had followed up on the tip.  Josh is a young man possessing a wealth of knowledge about everything electronics.

Yikes, I had an arc under my stove, coming from an electrical box. The piping was warm to the touch and I wasn't really sure I saw an arc, but wanted to be on the safe side. I contacted them this evening, Sunday evening after 5 pm, and they answered right away. I spoke with Heather and she said she would reach out to a technician and call me back. She called back right away and informed me the technician would be at our house within an hour and half. Not only did Raymond get to our home within 30 minutes, I received a text me prior with a picture of him. They drive vehicles that identify their company and uniforms as well. With all of the scary pandemic worries, I was relieved to see Raymond had on gloves and placed shoe covers on his work boots before he entered my home. He was polite, patient, and very knowledgable. He went to our main breaker box outside and took pictures and showed them to us. He opened up the electrical box under the stove and showed us where we could have had a fire. They have scheduled us for work starting tomorrow and I am super relieved. Our home is over 50 years old and I am just grateful we did not have a fire. I will update my review after the work has been performed. For now, I am grateful for the great service!

Really nice experience working with this company. They were very responsive and a me to get someone out to assist with a breaker that was tripping and leaving our master bedroom without light! Chad was our service technician and was awesome. Courteous, responsive, knowledgeable professional and informative. He even cleared his schedule to come back in the am to install our replacement light fixtures that were the root of the problem! Kudos to Chad and will definitely keep this company in mind for future repairs. My only reason for not giving 5 stars was because I thought their prices were on the high side.

We requested a quote to replace a kitchen fumehood. The technican came out was professional and responsive. No problem there. The dispatch fee of $89 is fixed. Technicans have little ability to negotiate pricing. I am dissatisfied with the quote given for one hour of work for a basic DIY level job which was $365. Positively, the dispatch fee is subtracted from work done. However, I am dissatisifed in the fact that not a lot of background information is requested to determine the price, ie., no question as to whether the system was duct-connected or not. In my opinion (from my limited one-time experience) the evaluation process is too simplfied, with the outcome being a high price. It was unfortunately not possible to discuss a range of possible prices with customer service by phone beforehand.

Accordingly, you may wish to take the time to request quotes from a range of operators first, unless you really value the convenience of PCE's centralized phone or internet based booking.

We live in a 100-year-old Craftsman whose heating system, furnace and ducts hadn't been cleaned in at least a decade. I got a couple of quotes via Angie's List. PCE wasn't the cheapest (actually about $200 more than a local contractor) but I was impressed with the service right from the start. The technicians came on-site to provide a quote. That seemed a bit unnecessary for a fairly simple job, but the visit gave me a really good impression of the company's technical capability and service standards and I signed up on the spot to have our system, furnace and ducts to 10 outlets cleaned. The team came within a week and did a thorough job. After the visit, however, I couldn't get the system to work. Another technician came out to do a follow-up inspection and got it working right away at no extra charge. The problem may have been user-error, to be honest, I'm not sure, but the tech checked everything anyway. Really good service.

0 AND BELOW IS THE SCORE. RUN from this SCAM of a company. RUN!!! I NEVER write reviews and do not have time now to be specific with frankly unbelievable details. I have instituted a credit card reversal on this company for 6 visits and installing complex expensive new materials - their goal is to sell and run up the bill - that did not work. I have today had a reputable heating and air company come to review the issues in my home and the single original loss of heat problem for which I first called Pacific Coast Electric was solved in thirty minutes. During six ineffectual visits by Pacific Coast I videotaped the bizarre explanations by their technician as to why they were fixing what they said was broken so I could explain later or review as was it was all so confusing. They said on their first visit that rats had eaten through the heater wiring and they needed to install a new wireless system quoted at $1800 not including all their other costs. This system never worked after multiple visits by their technician who attempted two different times in the same day to fix the problem. During that last visit at 10:30pm the night before Christmas Eve the exhausted seemingly well intentioned Pacific Coast technician called his manager while we listened as he was struggling again with this newly installed unit. During the course of their conversation he indicated and argued with me as well as to whether in fact he had been at my house earlier that same day in the morning when he failed to fix anything. He did not remember having been there and adamantly denied it and was corrected by the manager who reminded him that yes he had been there that same morning without fixing the problem. We thought this was strange and unsettling. The next day Christmas Eve morning there was no heat which continued on until today December 27. This debacle started on the first visit to my house by Pacific Coast on December 4. I have thus payed for essentially nothing but my own wasted time and zero heat for most of December. During the last visit the Pacific Coast technician and his manager via phone both suggested I get a second opinion. This is a busy time of year thus not until today, December 27, was the second opinion possible during which I videotaped the new reputable technician explaining that the blower next to my heater was broken thus heat would not, could not, come back on. Pacific Coast had said rats had eaten through all the wires during their first visit. Today I was told this was not true and that in fact the wires had been cut. Yes they did indeed make my system wireless! Today the cut wires were spliced back together by the reputable technician. I insisted he pull out of the wall the new completely needless wireless control panel put in by Pacific Coast leaving huge holes in the wall as in minutes he had returned normal function to my original control panel. As to the new wireless system Pacific Coast installed and could not make function after 5 visits? Why? Nothing would work because the pump was broken. Today the reputable technician made the diagnosis in ten minutes, fixed it in 20 minutes, charging me $149. I will be calling a lawyer as well as the consumer fraud division of a local television station as this company must be exposed and stopped.

Pacific Coast Electric did a fantastic job replacing our melted circuit breakers and the entire circuit box with a newer and much safer one. Richard Castaneta came quickly to our home and gave us a fair bid for replacing the box and circuits. The very next day Christopher & Justin came and did the whole job and had our electricity back on before dinner. I have not had any issues since the install and feel much safer. They were very professional and got the job done in a short amount of time!

I tried Pacific Coast after a couple failed attempts with others (too busy for new customers, no reply, etc).  Got an appointment quickly to help locate a circuit outage. No breaker thrown and no hints on where the issue in the line might be, could be among 20 outlets/fixtures or wires in the walls.  They were quick to diagnose and to locate failed wiring behind light switch which took out the entire circuit.  Pretty easy fix and they educated me on the issues with this old panel and breaker setup.  Thanks Richard and Eric for great work!

Booking an appointment with Sabrina was simple and easy, and the company sent me texts to remind me of their arrival on the day of the service. AJ, the electrician, was phenomenal - he arrived on time and was thorough in his inspection and repairs. AJ identified a potential fire hazard with a malfunctioning outlet in our master bathroom and carefully repaired the outlet. I truly cannot thank him enough for identifying this issue and resolving it quickly and safely. Five stars all-around for PCE! I can't believe this.  I read all the comments and figured out I couldn't go wrong with hiring this company.  We needed a fan/light installed in a living room and a light fixture repaired in the kitchen.  I took time off work to wait for the electricians.  My husband has repaired both of these lights before and he's not even an electrician.  He's so swamped at work he asked me to hire someone this time. The fan/light took no more then 2 hours when he repaired it  and the kitchen light no time at all.  I had planned to go to work that day after the work was done. It ended up taking all day so I lost a whole day of work then the electrician dropped the cover of the kitchen light and broke it.  I was never told by the company but our caregiver heard it drop and took a picture of it cracked  and sent me a picture.  The electrician just put the cracked cover back on without a word.  I had to contact the company.  The best part is there were two electricians at our house and they even stopped to go to lunch while I was waiting for the job to be done so I could get to work.  The whole experience was horrifying. The first time they wired the kitchen light wrong and had to come back the next day.  Not a good experience for us at all.

Called PCE yesterday (on Monday) to schedule an appointment and a technician, Anthony Alvarez, came the next day (on Tuesday) on time within the given time range. Anthony did a thorough check on the circuit breakers and panel. He found the location of why several of the electrical outlets were not working. He provided me with recommendations and estimates for other work needing to be done in the near future. Where do I begin? After receiving a few horrendously overpriced 'blanket' quotes where the electricians didn't even ask for pictures of our issues or ask questions about them and being told 'oh well we won't know what we'll find so it may cost you more' I was close to giving up and calling my uncle who is a handyman. (Note: never use your family for electric work, you want professionals who know what 'up to code' exactly means lol.) My home was built in 1960 and survived a fire in the past, we have multiple problem areas but mainly I was having cabinetry installed on a wall and needed the outlet and light switches moved around. So I called Pacific Coast Electricians thinking maaaaybe they would be just as dismissive but at least perhaps a little less rude? My expectations were oh-so low. But that was my experience to date. So anyhow, I sucked it up and called. And got Andrew! Polite, respectful, asked questions, and stayed on the phone until all my concerns were addressed. I set an appointment for him to come in and the rest is wonderful history! When Andrew came in to do the assessment he laid out all my options and even asked if there were any other problem areas we would like to check. And he checked them all! This is no small feat as we are rearranging our house and took things out of storage. Think hoarders but less (and hopefully all cleaned up in another few months.) I wasn't prepared to have him check some older outlets which were behind boxes but he patiently waited until I cleared paths.. hah. Anyhow, after all that we signed up to do the main job - the rearranging of outlets and a light switch on one wall. We actually signed up for the membership option for a future assessment of the wiring of our entire home and added 13 GFCI (hope that's right) updates. On the day of the job, the crew who arrived were Chad and Jorge. We have kids who play on the floors a lot so before we even asked them if they had shoe covers they busted them out before stepping into the house and were already politely asking where they should start first. Chad did a marvelous job of explaining what lay behind our wall as he had to rewire and cut out parts of the drywall to achieve what we were looking to do. We had a few issues with fire blocks and a whole beam in the way so he offered up alternative solutions which was amazing. Jorge patiently rewired and made our outlets up to code but two of our rooms have I guess 'fried' wires (for lack of a better description) and we know that's the next job we need to tackle. Anyhow, Chad and Jorge were our good friends by the end of the day and their attention to detail and service didn't end there! Honorable mention - we had a broken ceiling fan due to my daughter wrapping a balloon string around it one day... four years ago. As we don't know any better (but now we do) we continued to use that fan even if we heard it struggle through the string. Big mistake, that was actually a fire hazard and had Chad not checked it out for us we may still be using it today! So, fast forward to the last day on the job, Chad had a new electrician with him, Eddie. Just as pleasant, nice, and respectful! Chad and Eddie finished the outlet conversions (we still had metal boxes, another fire hazard), and laid out our options with our fan. They took it down and we are presently searching for a new one but we know we can call Pacific Coast Electricians and we will get the same amazing service no matter who they send out! So to Andrew (who followed up with calls to us and their electrician crew every step of the way), Chad, Jorge, and Eddie, thank you guys! Looking forward to seeing you back when we uhh.. take care of other fire hazards in our home hah. But seriously, you guys are the best thing since sliced bread, we are recommending you to everyone we know!!!

I called Pacific Coast Electric after getting frustrated to find electrician during summer. Everyone is busy, and if they are not, my problems at home are too small for them. But Pacific Coast was able to set appointment for me. Andrew Hernandez was my electrician and he provided excellent service. He helped finding my thermostat issue and outlet issue. He also found other issue that I wasn't aware off and made recommendation. I also learned few electrical tips from him.

We had our old 100amp electric panel replaced at our property. The old panel had evidence of arc flash, therefore, we filed a claim with our property insurance to replace our old panel. David (master electrician) came out and provided a detailed summary of the work as well as a breakdown of the cost. David took the time to answer all my questions and addressed my concerns. Within less than a week, we had a new 200amp electric panel installed with new breakers and ground rod. Regie, Levi and Rogelio came out and installed the new panel. The installation took about 7 hours and the team did an amazing job. They were clean, efficient and very polite! Regie did an amazing job wiring the new panel breaker!

The office staff assisted with the insurance claim and provided detailed report and photos of the old panel to our insurance company. The office staff is very busy so I made sure to followup with my insurance company and Pacific Coast throughout the claim process. We had a few minor hiccups dealing with city permit and scheduling but Pacific Coast apologized and compensated us for their shortcomings. It took about a month and a half after the work was complete for the claim to be processed.

Everyone we dealt with at Pacific Coast was professional, polite and responsive. I would recommend Pacific Coast Electricians to my friends and family and certainly use them again in the future.

I had Pacific Electric come today, hired through thumbtack to look at a light switch that I felt was hot. They did the free assessment didn't find anything and then I paid the $350 for the troubleshooting. They found the problem and did the repair however when everything was put back together the problem is still there.  Very disappointed would not recommend.

I was able to get an appointment with Adonnis Graves really quickly and I love the proactive and mobile communication with the technicians picture when they are on the way.  Adonnis was very thorough in his inspection of my system and took pictures of issues so I could see what he saw in the attic.  He talked me through how all the pieces of the system work and what I should experience relative to comfort from a great brand and a great install.  I look forward to working with them to make sure my system is maintained for maximum efficiency in the future.

I tried to install a new receptacle in my garage and it tripped the breaker and shut power off to the whole house. It was early on a Sunday and Pacific Coast was able to get someone out by 9:30 am in the morning. Eric Nordhoff showed up and was amazing. He was very professional, pleasant to work with and identified the issue immediately (I had accidentally put the ground wire in the incorrect place). He fixed the issue in minutes, swapped out the breaker and had finished the job in less than 30 minutes. Overall, I had an incredible experience with Pacific Coast and would use them again in a heartbeat.

I hired Pacific Coast Electricians to install light fixtures, a Tesla wall charger, and run an electrical outlet to mid wall for a TV mount. Everything was done in half a day, and they even installed my TV mount and TV! The electricians were extremely professional and even texted me updates when I had to run an errand. They charge by the project and not by the hour which I appreciated, and were prompt and responsive throughout the estimate and installation process. Thanks!

Thursday evening, September 7th 2017, while enjoying the first NFL Game of the season, we had an outlet in our living room start to sizzle and pop. Almost immediately there after, we lost power to our Master bedroom and half of our living room. I immediately picked up the phone and called PCE. Within an hour, Anthony Alvarez showed up at our door for an emergency dispatch. I can say with whole honesty I believe he saved our condo from disaster. He worked through the night to get our home safe, not leaving until he was positive that he was leaving the home in good condition. He stayed until 12am, even know he had to get up the next morning at 4 for his next shift. He returned the next day to make sure the home was still in a safe condition, and draw up a contract for all the needed repairs. I cannot thank PCE Enough for all that they have done!

I originally had Pacific Coast Electric come out to install a dedicated line for my new wine cooler and at that time discovered me electrical system in my home was maxed out at the control panel and a large portion of my outlets and switches were not grounded, my home was built in the very early 50's. I decided at that time to upgrade my entire system. I found the company to be very easy to work with and what impressed me  they advised me every day when they were on their way to my home and at the end of every day they asked me to evaluated their work. The workers were very professional and pleasant to be around my home. The job took a few days longer due to issues with the prior electrical work but the problems were resolved quickly. The company provided a person to repair all sheetrock repairs that were needed and that person repaired all the sheetrock perfectly. I would recommend this company to all my friends and relatives that would need electrical work done on their home. Overall I was very satisfied with their work and would use them again if needed.

First time that a mostly 5 star yelp reviewed business has let me down. Scheduled an appointment, took time off work to meet the electrician, and they end up cancelling the appointment 10 minutes before the start of the scheduled service window. Scheduled another appointment for the next day, took time off work, and the electrician didn't show up in the scheduled service window. Called up to see what the status was and they said electrician was missing tools and parts and is running late. Missing tools and parts? I don't understand how you are late to a 2 hour wide service window. I couldn't wait around missing work any longer and ended up cancelling. Will look for another electrician company that can actually show up. Gave them 2 stars since they were good at scheduling appointments.

One thing that is odd is that almost all the reviews for this company are 2016 reviews except for two in 2015. There is a 2015 1 star review that had the same experience as mine. Next time I check a yelp review, I'll look at the dates and make sure they go back further than a year. Lesson learned.

Edit. Pacific Coast Electricians responded to my review which shows to me they are concerned with customer's concerns and willing to make amends. I'll chalk up my experience to an isolated experience. Changed my review from 2 stars to 4 stars.

I had a very disappointing experience with Pacific Coast Electricians and would absolutely not recommend this company. I had some electrical problems in my house where the lights would be very brights or very dimmed all off a sudden. I called this company and they recommend me to change my entire panel  before even trouble shooting the  problem with the neutral! Anyway they would not do anything else before a $7500 estimate and they were really worry how I was going to pay, maybe using my house insurance .... or some other bank arrangement
 that  they offered. Anyhow after spending almost 6 hours with them I decided that they were not so honnest and I would get a second opinion even if I had to stay without any electricity in the house. Well it took me 2 more electricians before I had one that suggested to call back PG&E to check the Neutral coming to my house. Guess what  It was a PG&E problem and a crew was sent at 9:00Pm  at night and they worked on it until 1:00pm to resolve the problem.  As fas as I am concerned Pacific Coast Electricians is a pure ripoff just interested in praying on stranded customers.

I would give 10 stars, if I could. We experienced an intermittent partial power outage the other day and didn't know who to call since we haven't had an electrical problem since we moved here sometime ago. I remember seeing the green trucks in our neighborhood recently and thought I would give them a try after reading some good reviews. Glad I did! Ezekiel and Sarah M. arrived on time shortly after I called for an appointment. I immediately felt at ease with them and everything was explained to me very clearly as they went through the diagnostic process. They were very diligent and thorough and I felt confident that they were doing a good job. It turned out that the problem was in the meter pole outside so the management company of our property has to take care of it. Now for the extra stars. As I mentioned, the outage was intermittent lasting just a short time throughout the day. A little while after Ezekial and Sarah left, they returned. He remembered that our refrigerator was connected to the bad circuit and when he went to work on our breaker panel, Sarah shared with me that he just couldn't leave without connecting our fridge to the good circuit, just in case. Well, just in case has happened because the power is out and has been since last night (about 16 hours ago), but we haven't lost any food. Oh, and no charge. I cannot thank these two enough for being so kind, competent and friendly during a somewhat stressful situation.

Little trouble getting started company rescheduled my appointment without telling me but one call and they quickly fixed the issue and got the guys out to me first thing in the morning. They were on time they explained each step of what they were doing even worked a better solution for us that did not require cutting into the Sheetrock. The checked everything to make sure we were a go and cleaned up all the mess and were done as promised within the agreed upon time window. Also offered us some advice on things to keep in mind as we got the kitchen up and running all and all excellent experience highly recommended.

Yesterday we had to call the fire department due to loud noise, rumbling, smoke puff then acrid odor coming from outlet on kitchen counter.  Thankfully it did no damage and wonderful fire department recommended immediate fixing by qualified electrician.  I called Pacific Coast Electricians and was very happy to receive their fantastic customer care and help to get someone out to our home the very same day.  Johnathan Garcia was the technician sent by the company .  We were  very impressed with his knowledge, attention to detail and excellent service.  I asked if he could check out two problems I had been having with two exterior outlets and he provided a excellent solution.  He solved our initial problem plus solved additional two.  I will be using this company in the future and asking for Johnathan because he is everything you are looking for in a professional  skilled electrician.

If you have an electricity-related insurance claim, this is the team to go with! In August the main breaker on our Zinsco panel was buzzing and burnt through some parts (eek!). Additionally, our sub panel had some problems too. PCE took care of it all! The guys were friendly and informative, particularly Anthony who took the lead on all the work. Best part: Anthony documented & saved everything, so that when Dave (electrician/insurance pro) started communicating with our fire insurance people, everything went smoothly. We had all the necessary evidence and Dave even came out to meet with the insurance guy to make sure things were communicated clearly. Thanks to PCE, we have safe, neat, well-labeled electrical panels and our claim was covered 100%. :) Last but not least, we hired PCE to install our generator and they did great work. They made sure all the wiring was set up just the way we wanted, and that it'd be easy for us to access and use. *And* they gave us a great price.

Recently, some of our plugs & lights stopped working. Anthony came out again, was quick, efficient, and (as always) informative. Thankfully the fixes were easy, and even though one of the things they looked at wasn't related to the previous work, there was no charge. Great service, great folks. Highly recommend. :)

Called to make an appointment the lady on the phone said that the work can be done when they come out. I said great! Next day the electrician comes out looks over everything tells me there is a new girl at the office she doesn't know. He said but either way if I can do it today I will. (I needed a doorbell installed, I didn't have a doorbell would need to be wired.) He went outside and said he didnt have his truck so this truck didn't have the right tools and he would need to reschedule it and he wanted to come back and do it. I took this time to shop the price around and electricians are the worst to get jobs done or answer their phone or call back. I did end up getting a lower price quote I texted this guy back and  told him to see if he would match it he said he would stay at his price. One would think they would at least match the lower quote (50 dollars less) because of the mix up when I first called. I ended up going with the other company who did the work they did the doorbell and ALSO installed the chime in the house for the same price $300! These guys are horrible and unfortunately you have to go around all of their advertising on google and different phone numbers and agency's that they use to send the calls back to them. Pathetic.

Today my walk in cooler decided to not work. I was freaking out since being in the food service industry my product is expensive and needs to be kept cool. Being the weekend, I wasn't able to contact people on Yelp but THANKFULLY this company pulled through. They have an online chat I used to discuss my issue (I chatted with Marion) then someone called me to speak with me personally and they sent out James in less than an hour. He was super friendly and understanding and listened to me vent as I was stressed with the whole situation. He was able to give us expert advice and solve our current issue in a heartbeat. Was looking for a contractor to revamp external lighting in a complex with 92 units (i.e. not a small job). Scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago (7/6), the guy showed up on time - so far so good. We took the time to walk the property, I showed him what we wanted done, asked questions, total 40-45m. Was told then I would receive a proposal in one week. Never received anything. Called at the end of that week, enquiring on the bid, was told they would get back to me. Nothing. Called AGAIN earlier this week, same answer and STILL nothing. Thanks for wasting my time Pacific Coast!

Eric came to install an outlet above my fireplace today.  He was courteous, on time, and completed the work quickly. He checked the panel and some of the other wiring to make sure everything was in good condition.  i plan on doing some more work later on and definitely will ask for him again.

Beware of this business. I just saw a news story on NBC Bay Area News regarding a senior customer who was charged an exorbitant price compared to the industry standard for the same work. The company told her that she can claim the work with her insurance carrier and that the company would refund her the difference. According to her insurance, the electrical company charged her twice the standard rate. The electric company refused to pay her the difference so she called the NBC Bay Area News helpline for help. After their investigation, the electric company refunded her money. The company she dealt with was called Mike Counsil Plumbing and Electric but after the story was aired on television, the company changed their name to Pacific Coast Electricians.

Very unprofessional service experience. I had made an appointment 2 days in advance and was given a 2 hour window of 9-11 am. On the day of the appointment, I called in at 9:30 to check in if they were on schedule. The receptionist picked up and informed me that they couldn't make my appointment because of a mandatory safety training that morning. Needless to say this was disappointing for many reasons - firstly that I had to call to get this message (she claimed they called me 10 minutes before I called them, but I didn't receive any call). Secondly, it is quite unprofessional to call during the set appointment window to cancel the appointment. That needs to happen before the appointment. I will be using a different service.

Joel, the electrician for the company came to rescue our power outage, he immediately found the problem and fixed it properly. Joel has great knowledge and provided excellent services to make everything works properly in the house. Joel is also very friendly and very helpful. Started out good but spiraled out of control quickly. Eric was the first contact when I had a power outage. He was very helpful but I needed a rewire.  The quote appeared high but they explained Ygrene financing which was pretty much incorrect. They also stated they would assist with insurance, which they did not until 1 month after my claim was already paid they tried to file the documents.
The biggest issues is the low quality of contractors they hire and the ability to reach anyone consistently. Examples:
1. First plaster repairer blasted music, swore up and down, lied about previous appointment, threw trash away in recycle cans and washed plaster equipment in my sink. I asked he not come back.
2 months later new plaster person comes, work looks good except they missed 4 repairs, damaged my stereo and bent my shelves.
2. Roofer threw shingles in my yard and left, no-showed and left other garbage.
3. Whole process began 12/15/2017 and last fix did not occur until 4/27/18
4. PGE complained about the additional whole and pipe through my roof which should not have occurred. Pipe not attached to wall and therefore increases stress on roof.
5. Took a month of calls to get reimbursed for damaged
6. $5000 in fees for something my insurance paid for because of Ygrene.
7. Insurance member at pacific coast did not return calls and I filled claim.
8 older pipe from box removed and person thought they would leave the hold rather than getting a roofer, leaving roof exposed
9 tried to illegally trim tree without discussing with owner and without need

Please read all the fine print and understand what you are getting yourself into for a rewire. Thought it would take 1 month instead of 5

I saw their van driving around my neighborhood and we needed an electrician because our porch light had mysteriously stopped working.  we were able to get an appointment immediately and were already impressed as other electricians never returned calls.  Eric came to our home and showed me we had very old knob and tube wiring and it had blown out our porch light.  He proceeded to look in our attic and took pictures of the old knob and tube wiring, the damaged wires as well as other issues we had no idea was going on up there.  Erick was very knowledgable and a very nice person.  Recommended replacing the majority of old wire.  Got back to us quickly and he and Miguel Barragan came back and began work.  Miguel ended up staying doing most of the work for that day.  He was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and left our home so clean, you would never know we had anyone over.   Our porch light is working.  We still have. the rewiring to do, and we definitely know we want Pacific Coast Electric.  Another very impressive thing to me was both Eric and Miguel on separate occasions, spoke very highly of their company and how they really liked working for them.  I felt they both were very passionate about their job.  Thank you Eric and Miguel

Pacific Coast Electricians sent Eric Nordhoff out to look into a problem we were having with a dead electrical circuit. He was extremely thorough in his evaluation of the problem. He started at the main breaker panel and almost immediately found and corrected a number of loose connections. After demonstrating that the breaker was not the problem he moved in a very logical order through the outlets and switches involved in the outage. He found and corrected several defective outlets and one questionable switch. He kept me informed of what was going on at all times and was friendly and cheerful throughout the procedure. He corrected all of the problems in a timely manner and the price was reasonable for the amount of time put in. If all Pacific Coast's technicians are as competent and personable as Eric I'm sure the company will have a long and successful future.

Highly recommend Pacific Coast. Can't say enough about what a great experience this was. We called this morning in desperate need for electrical repairs. The office staff was great and dispatched Eric Nordhoff who arrived after lunch. The technician - Francis Thomas - came to my home on the same day, only a little while after I called.  He identified the problem immediately and fixed it. Actually, the problem had to do with a poor job performed by an electrician not affiliated with PCE. The original job was not only poor but dangerous. Wires had been left exposed inside the wall and it was a big fire hazard.  Thanks to the fast and great job not only the power is back but a fire risk has been removed.  Thank you, Francis and PCE.

I had recently wrote a glowing review for Andrew, but he unfortunately did not deliver on what he told me. He gave me a 10% discount to do it the day after Christmas saying it would be a 1 day job and that 2 guys would come at 9:00am to do it. We moved all our furniture away from the outlets in our tiny 2 bed/1bath condo all on Christmas day including the refrigerator and stackable washer/dryer. Only 1 guy showed up after 11:00am and didn't get to work until after 1:00pm because he didn't have the parts. It wasn't finished and then they tried to say no one could come to finish it the next day. All our furniture was everywhere and we had no where to sleep because our beds were covered with all our stuff. After having a mental breakdown and complaining, they sent someone over to finish the job the next day. He was great. My only complaint was that they left a mess under each outlet and switch and I had to vacuum under each one. I would definitely not recommend this company and would have went with Dalco Electric if I could do it over again. They had quoted the job to be $6000. Andrew said it would be about $5200. But, after they uncovered more unseen outlets it turned out to be close to $6000 even with the 10% discount.

After calling the fire department because there was smoke coming from our light fixture, the fireman instructed me to not do anything until I contacted a licensed electrician. I did not know who to call so I looked on yelp and went with a company that had some great reviews. It didn't take me long to realise why people were happy doing business with this company. Ezekiel showed up the next day as promised...at the beginning of the time frame I was given by the the nice gal I spoke with on the phone. He was friendly, courteous, and professional. He answered all of our questions after a thorough home inspection and provided information to help us make informed decisions. We scheduled a job for three days ahead. That day Miguel showed up first thing in the morning and again was friendly, professional, thorough, and diligent about his work. He cleaned up afterwards and removed all evidence of having done a big job. The new fixture looks great. We were happy with the response time, efficiency, and professionalism of this company and their electricians. Thank you PCE for great service!

Save yourself the frustration and just spend an afternoon sitting by yourself with the expectation of no one showing up. Was scheduled for an appointment and was told a technician would call 30 minutes prior...no one showed. Called an hour after the latest arrival time and was told someone would be there in the following 2 hours...no one showed. Called again and was told a technician was in route and they would be contacting me shortly...no one called. At this point, I should have just stopped wishing they would show, but when you REALLY need an electrician, you really just NEED one. I called again and was told I would receive a call back...still nothing. Sure they do great work if they actually show, ladies at the call center were nice maybe that justifies the one star.

The Service Technician, Levi, was courteous and professional. We needed a charging station moved and he worked diligently to get the job done on time for us. He explained everything he did and labeled the breaker box so we could easily identify the circuits. Overall we are very pleased with the level of service and quality of work provided by Levi at Pacific Coast Electricians.

Ryan was dispatched to help with a trace and label project to get my circuit breaker box up to code.  Showed up a little after halfway through the 2-hr window but also got a call halfway through from HQ to let me know when he'd arrive (love this!).  This is a two-person job, so we were worked together to identify which outlets/appliances were on which circuits.  I got to learn a bit about residential wiring and also learned to think out-of-the-box to figure out how the place was wired.  Ryan was professional and fun to work with and the job was done in a few hours (the wiring was really weird).  Cost was about $400 but didn't require any special tools, just experience that I didn't have.  Will call PCE for future electrical stuff.

It looks great on Yelp. However, I may not be able to see that. Was able to make initial contact and got promise somebody will call me back. Never happen. Not good way to obtain new customer. Went with another company

Our problem was a simple one that I could have addressed. Decided not too since I had a business to run instead. James Glover and a trainee arrived on schedule and ready to work. Oh and did I mention this was a young lady trainee. Well James took her and explained what needed to be done, which the trainee then discussed with me in a professional manner. A little over an hour later they had all buttoned up and were ready to head to their next job. Since I'm an inspector it is good to see a company take the time to bring someone new into to the trades with a professional program.

I highly recommend. From the first person I had connect with to the technician they were  all very professional.Sabrina was the first person very friendly and made me feel comfortable for me trying to explain what I was looking for.  Then my technician James Glover friendly and did an awesome job. I had a fan put in my attic and James went over all my options and answered all my questions.  He was very knowledgeable.  I already booked another appt for aditional work.

I'm very satisfied with electrician  Eric Nordoff service. He is a very skillful electrician. He came to my home, found the problem and fixed the breaker in my backyard.  My garden drip system is back on line now. What a relief ! I don't need to spend long time to water my garden. Thank You ! Eric.

I had Eric and Josh, the two service technicians who came in to install my EV charger. They are knowledgeable, friendly and completed the job efficiently and to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend these two gentlemen and I am already planning to engage them for a whole house fan install as well.

We called PCE out to provide a quote.  Things started out well as Eric identified a fire hazard that required PG&E to come out immediately.  We were grateful for Eric's help and it would have tilted the scale in their favor should they have provided a quote.  Well, they didn't provide a quote via email like most other contractors, instead they requested a sit down to review the quote...so I took time off work to meet with them.  The day we were supposed to meet I got a call stating they had blown a tire and wanted to reschedule for the afternoon.  In the late afternoon I called to get an ETA and was told they had been 45 minutes away at an emergency inspection for most of the day and wouldn't be able to make the appointment...the blown tire excuse didn't make sense anymore.  Against my better judgment I gave them another chance and rescheduled for the following Saturday to review the quote as I wasn't willing to take any more time off work.   Saturday comes with no show and no call.  Needless to say I would not recommend meeting with them.

Eric and Benny are fantastic.  From the moment they entered my home they were very professional, courteous, and explained what they were going to do very clearly.  They were cautious and mindful of my house.  Very careful preparing for the work and cleaned up thoroughly after.  They went beyond their scope of work and fixed several of our recessed lights that was popped out of place.  Just pleasant gentlemen to work with.  I will definitely call them back for all my electrical work.

We Called them to schedule an estimate, they no showed 4 days in a row. The only good thing about them was the office staff, every evening after waiting for 1.5-2 hours for the tech to show, I would call her to say they no showed again  and she kept answering the phone, every night. I give her high marks, but that is it.

These guys were fabulous! From owning my own business I work with many contractors and they were one of the best I have worked with for 30 years. They were so neat, professional, thorough and courteous. I wouldn't ever use anyone else. Although they were very competitively priced, even if they were higher I would still use them. I definitely recommend these guys for anyone looking for electric work, they are the best.

We had an emergency situation.  We got a quote that was astronomical and no options.  After the week long project turned into four weeks and we were weeks away from finishing we had another electrician come in and he told us they quoted us soooo high.  They said they were a little over because they submit to insurance but the scope of work was ridiculously over the top of what we actually needed and then they tried to put in a lower amp cable from what they originally quoted (3 feet underground!) They had horrible communication between the manager of the project and the poor workers onsite digging and replacing the lines.  We had to have the boss come back or after SiX weeks to figure it all out.  They then were supposed to make our yard like it was before.  Not even close!  Plus we have a cement hole that was never filled in.  Not a good experience!  Their one technician and I wish I could remember his name was amazing but his boss and orders were so screwed up that he was down and out before he even started!  I had to keep on top of everything!  Very very numbed!

The best!  David and his crew would get 6 stars if Yelp had that many.  You won't be sorry if you call them for an electrical issue.  They were on time every day ... put in new wiring and a new panel and I'm very happy with the job.  Would recommend them to anyone.
