I called them this morning and they showed up this morning. It was amazing. The job was not cheap, but it was done well and was not too expensive. He worked with us to find a discount that helped us out, as well. The service guy went above and beyond. This being my birthday, I am grateful that I'm able to use the plumbing:-) I recommend this company highly

Henry is the best. He's reliable and always does great  work. His prices are honest and fair. We always add tip bc we feel it should be more! He's helped up out with so many emergencies! And just a good guy!

V.J.'s Plumbing Inc. is fabulous. I'm staying at a friend's house in Santa Monica for five days. I closed the drain to wash a swimsuit and couldn't get it open again. The lever didn't work, a butter knife didn't work. I was at wit's end. I was lucky to call V.J.'s. Kesh, the owner's son, answered the phone at 8:10 a.m. on the first ring and called me back when reception was rough. He got here before 9 a.m. from another job and fixed the problem in a matter of literally seconds. Then, he refused to charge me. The service call was free. He cleaned the plug of scum and hair, replaced it, and left with a cheery goodbye. His dad waved from the car. I am very touched by this incredible display of good will. Please pay it forward. We are so happy with our two split systems that were installed! We have heat!! They were quick to come out to help us figure out what would be the best heating & air system for our home, & they came out the very next day to begin the install! They were clean, courteous & always wore masks. They kept us informed throughout the installation. We are very pleased with our purchase!

We had an issue with our sink backing up and called another plumbing company to come out and fix it. They ended up making the problem even worse and were unresponsive. Then we found Barcena plumbing and were blown away with the service, honesty and reasonable pricing. Will definitely be using them again for future plumbing issues and would recommend them to anyone.

I can't say enough about John and his work ethic.  I'm a realtor and I have been using him for the last 5 years.  He's dependable and reliable.  Once, I was at a friend's home and ran into John working on my friend's place and I was surprised, because I wasn't the one who referred him.  He has a great reputation in OC as the plumber to go to.  Only thing is, he's so in demand and so busy, I wish there was 5 of him. I wouldn't trust anyone else for my plumbing.  He's taken such good care of me and ALL my clients and I can't thank him enough!  Thank you John for all your hard work and the time you took to take care of all my and my client's needs!  You're awesome and so is your team!

Teo is The Best! Teo replaced the kit for one of our toilets. Then we had a major back up in our drains where sludge came up in our shower and also in our tub in the second bathroom. Not realizing at the time that Teo could have done the job, we called a well known plumber in the area who has a big white van. Sam gave us a quote for repairs amounting to $4,000 plus. The job was big and my husband felt the guys who worked on the installation of new drain pipes from the sewer line knew what they were doing. After that another workman from the same company came the next day to reseat one of our toilets. Since he was there I asked him to recaulk the other toilet. He did. I had to call Teo back because since he installed the toilet tank kit, I didn't like the low flush. Teo spent 2 hours trying different things to find the problem and finally removed the tank to find that one of the pieces was causing the problem. He didn't charge me for the repair. I also mentioned to him there was a slight leak behind the toilet. Come to find out that the other plumber purposely loosened the bolts behind the both toilets. Teo fixed the problem. He refused to accept any payment for this work. He cleaned up everything afterwards even though I told him I would do it. He is a professional in all ways. I will never call on anyone else for repairs unless he is not able to do it. He is truly honest and knowledgeable on many house issues.

The first job was for a completely clogged shower drain. he was able to come out the same day within an hour of going on Angieslist.com and he cleared the drain completely. He even went under the house and checked the pipe for corrosion or any other issues that could cause the pipe to clog again. Michael went above and beyond to make sure I was a satisfied customer and for a reasonable rate too!

The second job was the removal and replacement of two long time leaking stems for the faucets in the shower. I thought it was an issue with one that the screw had broken off of, but after Michael investigated, he called me in to let me know both stems on the hot and cold handles were corroded from years of leaking. He said he could salvage the hot water stem, but I elected to just replace it instead to make sure I don't have to worry about corrosion for a long while. He replaced both quickly and efficiently. He also replaced all of the clear plastic handles with beautiful chrome handle that actually look like they were the original handles in the shower, simply beautiful.

Michael is simply an honest and hard working plumber who does not price gouge, or come up with needless work to do for you. He is incredibly responsive, customer focused, and professional. I will call Michael at AAA Preferred Plumbing Inc. again and again for all my plumbing needs.

We have been having this worrying drip from our tub for awhile and finally called someone to help fix it. The guys from Active not only were able to come out same day, but they were kind and honest as well.

Turned out the drip was just from a plastic trap doing its job, but just noisily. They didn't try to make up problems just to get paid and I really appreciate that. Will definitely be using them for a real problem in the future!

My tub faucet stems broke and I had a plumbing emergency.  Warren came to help me immediately and I was forever grateful for his responsiveness .  Please don't hesitate to call Warren.  He's the best!

I was quoted $855 by Rave, but after getting quotes from two other plumbing companies, the problem was fixed for less than $100 by another company. My bathtub overflow was loose and leaking, which caused water damage to my ceiling. A representative from Rave told me I needed a new overflow kit, a patch job on my tub for a crack, and a air jet that was leaking needed repair. In fact, my tub was not cracked and air jet was not leaking. A plumber tightened the loose connection and the problem was solved. Beware of this company fabricating plumbing issues that don't exist.

Edit: Technician/owner was polite and professional when he was at my home. He called me after seeing this post stating he disagreed with the review and my perception of the situation. He stated that the problem should have been fixed with a new part and not tightened. He stated that the $855 was only for part and labor for overflow leak and not for other problems (that were in fact not problems at all). He was very upset by my review, but I let him know I wouldn't be removing it. I think it is inappropriate to call a previous client to argue with them about a Yelp review, but maybe it was an attempt to resolve a misunderstanding. Ultimately, I was not happy with the quote I received or the call I received about leaving a Yelp review.

I have a massive tree in front of my house that has caused multiple sewage backups. A1 has helped mitigate the issue with doing the most cost effective options. They are super responsive and excellent communication.

Hands down the best plumbing company that has experience and gave very reasonable prices for the work they did.  I remodeled two bathrooms and Kevin and Juan were at my house for two weeks getting the job done.  They are some of the most knowledgeable and great plumbers around the South Bay.  They will not rip you off or add additional services that you do not need.   Hands down the best company that has been around for many years you can trust all your plumbing needs with.  Big shout out to Angie who helps immeasurably with scheduling and getting the guys to my house.  Angie you are the best and kind and friendly!!! I am so thankful that there are genuinely good, intelligent and respectful people left in the business!  Thank you Tony, Angie, K1, Juan and the rest of the team!

If you're looking for a plumber...SEARCH NO MORE!

Cody is the man! I called him because my toilet was leaking and even though he said his truck was in the shop, he wanted to come out that same day to look at the problem. When he came to my house (exactly the time he said he would), he showed me exactly what was wrong with my toilet and said what he had to do to fix it. And here's the true test to know whether the person you're about to hire is trying to scam you or not: he genuinely told me that I could fix the toilet myself if I wanted to, and which parts I needed to buy. It seemed like he really cared about my toilet being fixed and decided to let him do the job. He charged an extremely EXTREMELY reasonable amount, fixed my toilet, and followed up with me right away.

If I could give him 10 stars, I would. Instead, I'll just urge you dear Yelp browser whose toilet or sink or whatever is broken or clogged or leaking...CALL CODY! I've done the legwork, I've called many places, and Cody will not disappoint (and neither will his prices!)

We used these guys this week for the third time and are still so impressed with not only their knowledge, but their honesty. We had them hydro jet our main sewer line, which we weren't too sure how much it would cost. They explained everything as they went, showed us what was going on and ended up charging us less than they originally told us it might cost. Whether you need something as simple as a clogged toilet taken care of or something more complicated, you can trust these guys to do a great job and to be honest with you!
