We are so grateful we called these guys. We had water coming up through bottom of toilet and in tub. Eric and crew were able to get it fixed for the night. Unfortunately, we ended up with 3 breaks in our sewer pipe. The guys did a great job getting to it the next day. They are super fast, courteous and clean. I highly recommend using them.

I used other plumbing companies in the past and haven't had any problems with plumbers in the past. However, I thought I'd try Yelp for a local company and I'm glad I did.
A-1 Performance's plumber ( Bradley) arrived on the agreed upon window. He was very friendly on arrival and even liked my dogs.
He diagnosed and completed the work (clearing my drains) in a timely matter. Additionally, he also offered advice on how to DIY another plumbing issue, but said he'd be happy to come back out if it didn't work.
I would certainly recommend Bradley to address your plumbing issues!

Excellent service.
The sink was backed up all weekend. I tried the Home Depo liquid stuff, but that did not work. I tried a 25' snake, also did not work. I called A-1 Performance Rooter & Pluming and was able to schedule a visit for the same day. The technician showed up and had me squared away in less than 15 minutes. Professionals! I'm pretty impressed with Harry who obviously knows what he's doing and is fantastic at it. I called for a plugged bathroom sink and he fix the problem in 2 minutes. Also showing me how to fix it myself I the future. He had time to tightened my kitchen faucet when another past plumber said it couldn't be done.

We had a leaking bathroom sink which began to leak for the first time in the past few years. Previous plumber did not address the root issue which was the piping under the sink. A-1 did a superb job in assessing the issue, fixing the plumbing and all in a matter of 5-10 minutes.

One of my tenant's water heater developed a problem on a Sunday morning. No hot water. I was able to light the pilot light myself, but I couldn't get it to stay on. I called A-1 Performance and to my surprise got an actual person on the phone on a Sunday morning. Not only that, but a plumber, Bradley, came out that very day and solved the problem. He got the pilot light to stay on so my tenant had hot water by just after noon. The price was most reasonable. I highly recommend A-1 Performance for plumbing problems in the Long Beach area.

Just got back from a week long vacation, and found out that our upstairs toilet bowl is clogged. I did the usual of snaking it, but it didn't work, so I called Scott, and within an hour one of his technicians showed up. Eric did an outstanding job unplugging our toilet bowl. Yelp reviews are true!
Scott, Eric and entire A-1 team are the proof that in this day and age we still have honest and hardworking businesses out there. Reasonably priced, super friendly and with great communication skills this business delivered. They replaced our sewer lines within few days with great care. Lawn, grass and side of the house were protected with tarp and cleaned up to look just like before (see photos).

I highly recommend them for anyone looking to get plumber services in Long Beach area.

They came out when they said they would, assessed the pipes under the house, detected a leak, snaked the drain from the roof and will be back to re-pipe the VERY old Lakewood house pipes in the near future. I had my Master Bath remodeled in July. My adapter connection to the sprayer broke and water flooded behind the wall, hallway and Master bedroom. I now believe we have a plumbing company that we will use from this point forward. It can be nerve-wracking selecting home repair and home improvement companies when you are not knowledgeable in the service area, in this case plumbing, and you fear an unscrupulous person/company will exploit your ignorance. I feel this company to be honest and fair.

Both Scott (the owner) who made the initial visit and estimate and Eric who came back to complete the job of replacing the main sewer line from the house to the street were friendly and took the time to explain the situation well. I feel confident in recommending this company to anybody who might find themselves in need of a plumber for any type of job, big (like I needed) or small.

Also, the woman who answers the phone and makes the appointments made a good impression and is a friendly voice both times I called. They weren't able to come out and give an estimate the same day I called since it was a busy time in between Christmas and New Years which I completely understood. In addition, once they gave the estimate they also were upfront in explaining they would not be able to start on replacing the pipe for two days because of current jobs they were in the middle of but they would unclog the line to allow us to freely use our water in the meantime. I appreciated them being transparent in the expected time it would take to complete this rather large job of digging down through large roots and replacing the old, broken clay pipe. They also provide a quality warranty on the work performed.

We had a backed up shower. Eric came out snaked the drain and found roots in the main sewer drain. We knew the cast iron lines under the house needed to be changed but didn't know how bad the clay pipes were from the house to the city's sewer connection. Eric explained the whole process and replacing and removing the cast iron pipes and installed new ABS plastic. Even had them replace some left over galvanized water lines with pex and copper. They were done in 3 days. Great workers and a great job. If we need plumbing work done in the future we will def call Eric.

On October 28, 2021 an A-1 Technician came to my house to give me an estimate to relocate a gas line. I agreed with the estimate and was told they would contact on Monday to schedule the work. I never received a phone call. On November 4, 2021, I called the A-1 office and explained to her that I had not received a phone call from the Technician to schedule the work. She stated she would pass this on the Technician, along with my cell phone number. I still haven't received a reply. That's okay, I hired Mr. Rooter to perform the work; I also saved $1,000.00.

Had drainage issues with my upstairs bath tub. A-1 Performance Plumbing knew exactly where to troubleshoot. I know it was not an easy task, no job is ever easy. But, they were very professional and walked me through the process of diagnosis, and proposed a solution with a figure.
All in all, I am very satisfied with the job, and the experience of this company's professionalism and knowledge.

Thank you to Eric and his guys for coming to our rescue. I manage a home in Belmont Shore and we had a major issue. Most of the pipes, water and sewer, had rotted out and were leaking. A1 Performance needed to come in and do a complete repipe. They were a pleasure to work with, on time, considerate and efficient. They completed the job in just a few days. My tenants were able to stay in the home. What could have been a total nightmare was made bearable with the quick actions and considerations given. What a great honest technician that came by for a sewer line inspection in San Pedro. He was on time, very pleasant, and very honest. The camera work showed that the lines were new, and no issues worth addressing. He didn't try to trump up the one thing he noticed and suggested we don't do anything. I'd definitely trust these guys and will be calling them if I ever have any issues in the future.

A1 Performance has been our go to for the past 4-5 years, and I could not have been more please with each and every time they come out. Initially we hired someone else to move our washer and dryer to the garage. Well our garage flooded because we hired handymen. A1 came out and fixed everything. They also found water under the house because a pipe was leaking. We had to replaced our very old galvanized pipes. They were professional and gave us a great price compared to others. They also did this the day before Easter.

Then a couple years later over Christmas break we found out our hot water heater, which was inside our home was leaking carbon monoxide. After the city shut our hot water heater off, A1 came the next day and because we decided to repipe our house at the same time, they offered for us to stay at a hotel at a discounted rate.

Scott, Bradley, and Jose are awesome and really took care of our 1st home.

For our second home we bought a fixer upper..... The original plumbing inspection (Anthony's Plumbing) came back pretty vague and when we called A1 to come hydro-jet our pipes, which is what the inspection suggested, and do a few other little tasks, they found that our pipes were sooo bad they were basically deteriorated. They scoped the line and showed us the roots in the pipes, cracks, and when they dug it up the piped looked even worse. They suggested before we start on cosmetics to the house we do the plumbing now. THANK GOODNESS. I couldn't imagine the disaster we would have had to go through once we had already fixed the house.

They completed the job quickly and with all the plumbing issues (on a slab), it didn't set us back to far on completing the house. Thank you Bradley and Jose!

Bradley has come back so many times to help us with little things. They worked with us on payment, and getting any money from our warranty. I feel like I can call them for anything... haha sorry Bradley.

I really feel like this company cares and takes care of what needs to be taken care of. There is no BS with them. If you are looking for a good efficient, honest plumber your search is over. You will love them for years.

I can't say enough about how great A-1 is! Our newly completely remodeled kitchen backed up the day after Thanksgiving. Eric came out next day and cleared the blockage and noted that he wanted to inspect our drain line further because he had a feeling it wasn't in great shape based on what he could feel with the snake. Upon his inspection he discovered that our kitchen drain line was barely being held together by dirt. Had the issue done in recognized it could have leaked onto our foundation without us knowing causing a huge headache and expense.

Eric recommended completing the job that the previous owners had started when they remolded the bathrooms and replace the remaining clay pipes under the house with ABS. Eric and his guys did the job in two days, taking care to clean up after themselves when they were finished. They even fixed some of the questionable work done by previous plumbers and added a clean out at the front of the house. We now have the peace of mind to have all new drain lines under our house. I wanted to write this review to support A-1 Performance Plumbing because the work they did for our family was professional, they arrived on time and did the job we needed very well. Scott and Bradley removed our old hot water heater and installed a new one as we also had them replace a number of old hose bibs at our home. They have proven to be a trustworthy company as their first service call to our home to inspect our main drain using the camera was done w/o charge as no blockage was seen. So we decided to hire them to replace our hot water heater. With so many plumbing companies out there it is hard to find one that you could call your plumber But we do plan to consider A-1 Plumbing to be just that, our plumber. They did this work for us at our home in Orange, CA which I do believe is a good distance form them to travel. But they did so and were competitive even with the travel time involved for them. Yes, this is my second testimonial as I am more pleased with A-1 Performance. My elderly mother was informed of a new issue with a clogged main drain from Sears so as I had such a wonderful experience with A-1 during Thanksgiving, I knew right away that I'd be contacting them again. Eric and charlie and the rest of his A1 plumbing crew were absolutely amazing they were all very knowledgeable and did a full re pipe on our house which only took 3 days. I was looking for laundry hook ups and a new main water pipe out to my water meter. I came across A-1 and got a quote from Eric. He was extremely straight forward and made myself and my husband feel confident in his initial quote. My mother isn't on Yelp, but she asked me post her review below. Thank you for taking care of her on such short notice guys!!! Much appreciated!

On Tuesday, 3/25/20, I looked online for assistance to see plumbing business around my area and called three plumbing offices. I called A-1 Performance Rooter & Planning after business hours and the Office Manager (Savannah I think) responded. I told her my plumbing problem and she forwarded my plumbing issue to Bradley. After 1 1/2 hours Bradley called and within 25 minutes he was at my house. Told him that there was noise of running water underneath the house and under the kitchen sink. Bradley listened to the leak from the side of house and used his flashlight to check the leaking water underneath the house. Bradley turned off the Water meter and said he will be back in the morning at 10:15 AM. The next day Bradley called at 10:15 and that he's sending Eric to do the job between 12:15-12:30 pm and will inform me what needs to be done.
At 12:15 p.m. Eric was at my front door and on time with a friendly attitude. (Good communications between office and plumbing staff). Eric asked me where's the noise coming from. He took his flashlight and took a peek and then asked where's the crawl space. Eric went back to his truck, put on his white uniform to check the leak problem underneath the house. After a few minutes Eric came out and told me the problem and that he could fix it he had the supply in his truck to fix the problem. Told him to go ahead and fix it - needed water due to my great grand-daughter being with me. In less than one hour Eric was done - terrific job Eric!

I couldn't recommend this company any higher. From the first meeting with Eric to explain my situation, to the final result, I could be happier. Eric was very professional and very experienced. I work as an executive in the construction industry and this level of professionalism is few an far between. If you ever need a plumbing service this is the company to call. My personal experience with them was above and beyond the best I have ever experienced. First they arrived at short notice on time! 2nd They located the leak behind a wall underneath our stairs just by hearing it! 3rd they repaired a slow leaking perforated copper pipe and fixed in with in minutes of arriving to our home! They were so polite and efficient with totally reasonable cost. If I ever have a plumbing problem again I know exactly who to call and if I was you I recommend you use them also before anyone else!

Greg was a big help! We live in a condo and noticed a leak in the roof of our bathroom. He came over and said he was reluctant to open it up because there could be other issues (mold, etc.) So, he recommended a good remediation company, who opened the ceiling and dealt with all the wet drywall and insulation (fortunately, no mold was found). Greg then figured out the upstairs toilet was the problem, and he had the issue fixed within half an hour. I've used A-1 before and they didn't disappoint this time!

I had a clogged toilet, they came out on time snaked the toilet, and BRADLEY said there was something caught inside the toilet. You need a new one. Gave me a cost, I can replace a toilet myself and left with No CHARGE!!

This is my second review in 4 months on this business. Last time it was a new gas line, this time it was a new main sewer line for my 81 year old home in Lakewood Village.

Bradley and Danny came out again and tried to root the main line but it kept getting stuck. They used a camera to look down it but kept running into pooled water. They then brought in a water jet machine as we thought it was leftover tree roots. Again, couldn't get through. Dug a trench underneath a sidewalk and discovered a collapsed line about 8 feet long. They came out the next morning and without digging up my whole back yard just dug out two more medium trenches, one at the house cleanout and one at the end of the pipe. Between 7:30 a.m and just after noon they had dug the trenches and then brought in a crew of four who rapidly installed one single run (about 50 feet!) of plastic pipe, replacing the old clay pipe which did not to be dug up! They put the back yard back together and I am totally happy with the workmanship, lifetime warranty, AND price. Bradley and A-1 did right by me once again.

I had a plumber that I've used for years but wanted to price check them. I called A-1 and found them very competitive. I had them pipe burst a sewer line in my front yard. The pipe was up against a huge tree. They did a great job for a good price. I felt that they could have compacted the dirt a little better. And watched out for my landscape a little more. But I'm very picky.
Today I called them up to clear a drain in a rental unit. They came within an hour and a half, and took care of the problem.

Really easy to setup an appointment, Harry showed up within the assigned time window and quickly went to work on a stubborn tub drain that had eluded my own efforts with a snake. The clog was fairly far into the drain pipe, but Harry got our tub drain back in working order. The wife thought he was nice, professional, and helpful. The initial customer service call was polite and friendly.
Eric came out promptly on a Friday nite, the whole repair taking approx 45 minutes. Eric was professional, polite and easy to talk to when I posed questions.

Called A-1 at 9:50am on a Saturday (yesterday on 4/20) because I dropped 1 of those facial jelly ball cleansers down the shower drain and it was completely stuck. They gave an ETA between 10:30-11am.. Eric showed up at 10:45! I told him what I did and he was able to snake it out within 10 min. No mess, super friendly, fixed it fast, punctual, and very competitive price. If you live in Long Beach I wouldn't waste any time looking around like I did, A-1 beat the price of the others and were able to come out much faster. Bradley and Jose came out today to check a clog in my HVAC drain pipe. Bradley found the clog right away and said that it was something an HVAC person should do and they would do it cheaper than he could. Jose cleaned out part of the line and they rigged the drain pipe up with a hose so we could still use our A/C while waiting for an HVAC person to fix it for us. No charge. Thank you A-1!

I feel really bad making this report, other people really need to know to NOT call these guys no matter how poor or desperate you are. They are evil!
Firstly, the girl on the phone is nasty & rude and doesnt want to hear what happened. She cuts you off when talking and says she will have a plumber call you back. When I tried to tell her what happened she rudely cut me off and said she would have a manager call me and instead the plumber who caused the whole problem called me back and had the nerve to get in my face saying I caused him to get chewed out!!! I had to demand to speak to the owner.

WOW these guys are criminal!!!! They use the ad with the really low price to sucker people into using them. We had 2 bathroom sinks back to back that clogged up. So we call. The snake was having a hard time going through an elbow joint in the wall so the plumber took it off without our permission.

The snake broke through the plastic pipe on the a joining side and burst a hole right through it. The worst thing was the way the plumber LIED!!
He said the fitting he took of, was corroded and we needed a new one. We have been going from place to place since the 27th to find a piece they dont make anymore. The plumber put on some mickey mouse part and claimed it would be good enough to hold us over until we could get a new part or to call him back. He never tested the sinks before leaving.
The office tried to charge us 400 bucks for the sink he took the pipe off of and another 50.00 for the pipe he burst a hole through!!!!

The new plumber that we got to come took a look at the part and said it is perfectly fine and was happy to use it. It was brass and bras doesnt erode or rust.

I am turning this company into the BBB and I hope they loose their license.
The plumbers name was Harry and he was very entitled and what a sinister snake, he really had me fooled that was this nice guy that the company was treating poorly!

Needless to say we are Worse off after having used them as now Both sinks are broken and I had to threten them with a call to the BBB just to get a measley 54.00 refund on the snake job they did that I dont even know worked. The part they put on the sink was so bad that water just ran out the back of it into the wall. we probably will have that river water rot smell in our bathroom forever now.

I would encourage you to remove this slanderous review as soon as possible Or what? you going to come to my house and do something?

I needed to have my garbage disposal replaced due to a leak. I called A1 and spoke with a very friendly receptionist. Eric and Charlie came the following day and replaced the garbage disposal and made a change to an existing pipe at a cost significantly less than expected. I have to take the time to tell my experience with A-1 Performance Rooter.
I left the Service part of there name out on purpose. I called this company 4 times.
I had asked for a simple call back to speak with a plumber. After 6 hrs. No call
Being off the following day I needed to schedule a plumber.
I called them back to schedule for the following day in advance. My appointment was scheduled between 2-4 the next day.
I never heard back from the plumber as I had asked them to give me a call.
Simple request.
The next morning I received call that they would not be able to come out for my scheduled appointment. The lady said I'm sorry we will not be able to make it today.
Apology is not what I was looking for. I needed Service in a timely manner.
My time is very important.If your time is important to you. Don't waste it with this company....

LOVED THIS COMPANY!!!!... They were the only service that answered their phone on Saturday & Sunday with a real person that was kind and knew what she was talking about ((not a answering machine or a call service center))... It felt so great to actually talk to someone who wasn't going to call me back or transfer me or have someone call me. She immediately scheduled for someone to come out the next day... on a SUNDAY!!!... :0 ...also, the Sunday times that they gave me didn't work for my church schedule, I called back and rescheduled twice & she answered & rescheduled with no issues!... it is soooo nice to work with kind people!!!
Eric came out and he was no different!... ((as they say, apples don't fall far from the tree!!!)) He was great, fought the traffic & parking in Belmont shore ((on this crazy hot day)) and wedged a space behind our house and had no complaints about any of it! I found out this is a family business, which makes total sense, because I completely feel the sense of a good family when I work with them! He fixed the drain issue quickly, first vacuuming out the water that was backed up & then pulling apart the pieces under the sink and using the snake.
I forgot to get a quote before hand so I was a little worried that I may get a crazy expensive bill being that it is a Sunday! But to top this all off... he gave me an AMAZING price!!!... $20 cheaper than quotes I received for a weekday call!! :0
Honestly, I HATE calling plumbers, contractors and electricians!.. I usually get the feeling they think since I'm a woman, they can say & charge me anything and I won't know the difference. This is the first time that I truly feel that I can trust a company!

Less than a year ago, our two year old bathroom faucet started to drip. We had other plumbing issues so I called our ten+ years reliable plumber to unclog the drain and repair the drippy faucet. I learned that new faucets today have a replaceable valve, which was replaced to stop the drip. I was shocked when my reliable plumber gave me the bill; he over-charged me heavily. When the faucet started to drip again, I told myself that I would replace the faucet myself. Over 1 hour into the removal of the old faucet and being unable to remove the bolts, it was time to seek help from a new plumber.

I searched yelp as I've always had good luck locating reliable, affordable and excellent contractors. Upon reading reviews regarding plumbers in my area, I selected A-1 Performance Rooters and Plumbing. I called A-1 Performance and spoke with a friendly receptionist who took my information and put me on hold to check appointment times for the installation of a new faucet. An appointment was set for same-day service between 4-5 pm.

At 4pm Bradley from A-1 Performance, called to check on the details of my repair request. I told Bradley that in addition to the installation of the new faucet, there was also a leak on the shut off valve under the sink, and an outside water valve that was in need replacement. With the additional repairs needed, we agreed to re-set the work for the following morning which was perfect since it was already getting dark outside.

Bradley showed up at 8:20; he was professional, friendly and ready to go. I showed Bradley the sink and items that needed repair/replacement. Bradley is knowledgeable and his communication regarding the repairs was clear. He even shared and explained the tools he uses to remove the bolts that I was unable to remove. Bradley had the new faucet replaced in no time and then showed me and explained that the nut was only loose on the shut off valve and the valve didn't need replacing. I found him honest and ethical and I was appreciative of his cost-saving measures. Afterwards, he checked for leaks, cleaned up his work area, then we headed outside to address the repair of water faucet. Bradley saw the valve was leaking, and explained that rather than a repair, it simply needed to be tightened, stopping the leak.

Bradley was honest and stated that there was no charge for tightening the nuts. A lot of plumbers would have charged for repair and replacement of the valves knowing the nuts needed only to be tightened and not replaced.

I am extremely pleased with Bradley's great work and ethical business practices. The professionalism and honesty Bradley exhibits can be hard to find these days. My overall experience with Bradley rates his work with five stars plus. I now have a honest, fair and reliable plumber who I can call and count on for my plumbing needs.

Of course it was a weekend with a full calendar of things that needed to get done and we didn't have time for a clog in our downstairs bathrooms. I called A-1 Plumbing and Bradley came out bright and early for me. He introduced himself first to our rottweiler which spoke volumes to me so the dog would know he was friendly. He then took a look at my problem, and listened to the back up story. Within minutes he had snakes out the tub, found some back up, and showed me where the drain-stopper had broken, meaning part of it was likely in the pipe and had been for some time. This would definitely create a back up and slow drains. He was done in quick time! I appreciate that he explained the situation to me and what I may need to do in the future. After much work by a contractor/plumber, I encountered troubles within the first couple weeks with the new kitchen layout and added stack-able washer/dryer. My contractor/plumber was not able to come back and help with the problem, so I called A1-Performance from a recommendation.

The gentleman from A1 was kind, polite and very nice. Checked everything out first, and attempted to snake the line. Unfortunately the new sink location and washer/dryer add-on overwhelmed the drain. Well, my contractor/plumber left my drain in it's original location creating horrible turns that just backed up everything going through it, including the snake. I hate slab floors. A1 then ran the camera next and showed exactly what we were dealing with.

Scott from A1 came to my home and listened to me talk, checked everything out and offered me some re-do and to finish the job ideas. I jumped on it. They capped off the under slab kitchen drain line, relocated a new one for my sink and washer to the outside (backyard) wall, trenched and ran the new line around the parameter of the house. Two Clean-outs on this line, both very accessible.

The crew was fantastic. They each saw how I was taking photos of everything they were doing, welcomed it, and even called me over from time to time for angles I wasn't even thinking about. All the work was done with great professionalism and very timely.

Added: Tank-less water heater filter. As they ran the drain line around my house, they pointed out how my tank-less was not completely properly installed. It had a improper emergency drain value, mixed metals fittings which was already corroding after a few months, and missing was a filter that could void any warranty of the tank-less itself. They offered to correct the problems, made it right and only charged me for the filter itself. Oh, and actually showed me how to work it.

Back to my drains, the camera was showing breaks and holes in the original clay drain in the front, out to the street. Yes... weeds and BUGS!! YUK!!! The front was trenched and clay replaced with proper drain line. However, this trench also exposed the replaced incoming line that previous owners must have done and yes...it was done with standard sprinkler line... So, that too got replaced with copper incoming.

Again, the detail, the testing of leaks, the constant measuring for proper angle drop on the lines, just everything gave me so much security that this old fixer was turning the right corner to have plumbing properly addressed. It was quality work.

Needless to say, I have had no problems until today, four years later. A slight block in the drain that was backing up into the kitchen washer overflow. I called A1 and they came out with hours. Scott was back. We reviewed all the photos I had taken four years earlier and he was off. Snaked from outside and pushed on out...perfect.

I look forward to my next job on my fixer and 100% intend to call A1. Probably the bathrooms or maybe the spaghetti nest of lines in the walls/floors and attic, that previous owners have left me to deal with. A Fixer is a Fixer, but when the jobs gets done right, and you trust who is doing it...it makes it all worth it.

I had a clogged kitchen sink drain and I left a message on their answering service.
Bradley called me back in about 10 minutes and came over to unclog it.
I found that Bradley was fair and honest.
Some other rooter services try to sell you additional services that you don't need, but Bradley gave me a quick quote and fixed my problem.

Toilet has been moving slow and getting clogs. A-1 was able to be out next day. Bradley arrived shortly after 9 am, the window was 9-11, and quickly diagnosed the issue. A comb had been flushed at some point. The repair was quick and reasonable. Bradley cleaned the area and we were good to go. Bradley was awesome.

A-1 Performance Rooter and Plumbing completely replaced all the plumbing in my house in Lakewood, CA, and I couldn't be more pleased with the work they did. It was still original galvanized and almost 70 years old, so it really needed it!! The drains were starting to deteriorate and the pipes were severely corroded. The job included replacing all out-going drains, all incoming water lines, both mains, installing a new tankless water heater outside, removing the old water heater inside, new bathroom sink, new toilet, and all new fixtures.

The entire job took approximately 7 or 8 days, and each day they cleaned up after themselves and left me with functioning plumbing (hot running water, working toilet, working shower, etc.). Any necessary openings in the interior and exterior of the house to access the plumbing were kept to a minimum and patched so that you can hardly tell they were here.

I can't say enough about Eric and his crew, Jose, Daniel, Danny, and Charlie; they are amazing and work great together as a team! They are professional, respectful, and friendly. They showed up on time and worked hard each and every day. They go the extra mile to make sure the customer is happy, and the pride they take in their craft is obvious. They are definitely my go-to plumbers from here on out!

Had a great experience with Eric today. He came within the appointed time and we was very professional about issues we were having with our water heater corrosion, sink leak, and some other questions I had about a water machine. He was just an all around great guy to be working with. Happy to share a great experience with the service provided by A-1 Performance Rooter and Plumbing to unclog the main line in our house.

The excellent service started with Colleen who took the initial phone call and then with Amber who gave an update on when the technician will arrive.

Sure enough, Scott arrived on time. Very courteous and friendly; the vibe is that of someone who just wants to make sure that the job gets done professionally at a fair price.
Very efficient; he cleared the main line in a few minutes. Then using a camera he showed me the condition of the mainline, identifying the source of the problem. He patiently answered any question I had. He finished the job, cleaned up the space and then proceeded to his next call. We are very satisfied with their service.

We've definitely found a plumber we could trust for future needs and will definitely recommend to family and friends.

They rescheduled the apt 3 times with the excuse that something had come up, or plumber was cleaning up at other job. Plumbers charge a lot for their time and expertise, so should also be sensitive that the householder has to give up time to be home during the plumber's visit. Wouldn't recommend them. If this is the standard service it's unclear how they can get 3 or even 4 stars on Yelp.

Talk about fast and trustworthy! My tub was backing up and finally stopped draining all together. I was convinced I had a major clog. I called A-1 in the morning and was given a 2 hour window for that afternoon. Bradley showed up early in that window, and was friendly and professional. He quickly discovered it was the 'stoppage' mechanism- or whatever that thing is called- and switched it out in a flash. No fuss, no cryptic plumbing 'speak' - just a honest, transparent transaction. Outstanding work! The technician came a bit early than expected but it wasn't a problem. He was very pleasant to talk to. He assessed the problem and recommended what needed to be done. He took less than an hour to fix my clogged bathroom sink. Replaced the broken pipes and unclogged the drain. Did I mention, he came out on Labor Day holiday which I thought it would cost more. Nope! he only charged me the normal rate ($85). I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a good plumber. I will definitely call them back for future needs.

I am a Contractor and was helping a friend out at his Home in Long Beach and came up against a solid stoppage. My Plumber was booked so I checked local Plumbers and saw A-1 was close. I called and was advised not only could they be out in less than three hours, but the cost was only $85.00.

We had a plumbing emergency on a late Sat. afternoon and within 1 hour A-1 Performance was on the job. It was a major re-piping effort which was completed over 3 days by a competent, professional & friendly crew. These guys are awesome and know what they are doing. Brad came out on an emergency after our sewage line backed up and left a trail of toilet paper all over the side of our house - YUCK! The entire time I was freaking out, he calmed me down and told us they could easily fix it. Other issues arose due to a bad contractor and Brad photographed and provided us with a narrative so that we can be reimbursed after legal action is taken with the contractor who did shoddy work. Scott, the owner, came out and when our usual plumber Eric heard, he even stopped by to make sure everything was being taken care of. Poor Jose now knows our crawl space better than anyone! I wish i could give more than 5 stars to this business!!!...Scott, Harry, and another helper came out to help us assess a potential leak. Scott and Harry were extremely nice, friendly, professional, and honest. They explained everything to me. Our shower was draining slowly and we needed it snaked out. We are looking for a new plumber as we were way overcharged on installing a clean out access. Anyway I was leery of using some of the places that charge a low fixed price because it is often followed by hard up-selling and scare tactics. (I'm looking at you Bestline Plumbing!!)

Anyway found A-1 through the South Bay Monthly ad booklet with a coupon for $39.99 to clear an easy-access bathroom or kitchen drain. It was exactly what we needed. They were able to come within a couple hours of calling them. Both the person that answered the phone and the plumber who came to the house were friendly and courteous. He easily snaked the drain and charged us $39 with no problem.

He did make a suggestion on how to permanently fix the problem with a lifetime guarantee. No pressure or hard sell. We will be using them again.

We called them to address various issues in our building and it took several different
plumbers to accomplish some simple repairs. Each time we thought all was OK,
but realized after the plumber left -- the work was not done properly, over and over again.
Each plumber that came seemed more incompetent then the previous one. It was a very
time consuming and frustrating experience for work which should have been done
correctly the first time. It took numerous visits and was actually never finished to
completion by A-1 Performance. To make matters worse, one of the senior plumbers
(Brandon, I think) was very rude w/an attitude, as if the customer was@fault for the poor
work done by him and the other untrained members of their staff. I can't believe
they are actually licensed in the state of CA! They should move further south --to Tijuana!
I would never use them again; there are too many nice, friendly and
above all, competent plumbers in Southern, CA.

I was talking on the phone with a business call pacing back and fourth from my office to my dining room when all of a sudden a huge burst of water gushed through my dining room ceiling. I quickly put my business call down, ran upstairs to find out where the water was coming from. My daughter was taking a shower and my other daughter was draining the bath tub. I quickly shut off the water and stopped the drains to stop more water from coming through my downstairs ceiling. My wife and I were in shock and immediately called our homeowners insurance company. Then my insurance company walked us through the steps we needed to do and told us to call a plumber to repair the plumbing. I searched for plumbers on my phone, read some reviews and found that A-1 Performance Rooter & Plumbing had some great reviews and saw they were licensed, bonded and insured plumbers. I talked with Scott, the owner of A-1 Performance Rooter & Plumbing, he answered the phone right away, was friendly and sent out a plumber within 45 minutes to assess our plumbing damage. When they came out they were experienced with the type of water damage we had from our broken pipes. They also recommended a water damage company to come out and help with the cleanup, drying, repairs of insulation, drywall and texturing of our ceiling and walls. A-1 Performance Rooter & Plumbing kept checking in with us to make sure our repairs were going well with the water damage company and A-1 Performance did a professional, clean job in replacing our broken plumbing pipes. They really made our disaster into a great experience and offered advice in helping us with getting setup for future bathroom remodeling. I highly recommend calling A-1 Performance Rooter & Plumbing, they help us with our broken pipes, with replacement and our water damage. Good honest plumbers.

I normally don't provide reviews but wanted to take the time to do so. We had a slab leak for the second time in three years and called A-1 Performance Rooter and Plumbing. Eric Carter came out the same day we called to assess the issue and he was very thorough in explaining the situation and his recommendation to fix the existing problem as well as any potential leaks in the future. Eric Carter the technician came several times to my property as a result of a miscommunication on my behalf. He was kind enough to come in a total of 3 times and charging me only for the initial visit. He was kind and professional. He explained to me all I needed to know about the plumbing issues I have in my residence. He took the time to explain about water flow, diameter of different pipes with relation to the city code, piping material. He used the best materials in his repair. He used copper piping type L (the good and thick 'stuff') while other plumbers take a short cut using cheap copper piping called 'type L' (the thin and crappy 'stuff'). He also was kind enough to throw into the already good deal on entire house re-piping a brand new water heater (American Standard). Eric was timely at the job site in the 3 times I met him. He is quick, clean, and professional.

I wish there was a way to rate A-1 Plumbing with 10 stars. I had an amazing experience with Scott, Bradley and their team. They were professional, cordial and took the time to explain and answer any questions that I had. Not only did they do the work I contracted them to do; they went over and beyond my expectations. They replaced all the cold and hot water pipes under my house with copper. As part of their service, they also replaced all my faucets (kitchen, bathroom sink and tub). They flushed out my water heater and they replaced every hose that comes into my house, including the toilet and washing machine. They even raised the height of my outdoor faucets so that I would not have to bend down to turn the water on and off and gave me an extra faucet on the side of the house. It was a 2 day job and they cleaned up behind themselves when they left my home. They finished the work on Saturday afternoon and I found a minor problem that evening. They sent one of their guys to my house, the next day (on Sunday) to rectify the problem. Immediate response. This is the measure of a company - not only how they perform their job but also how they handle any issues. Then Scott called me this afternoon to confirm I was happy with their service. I have found my new plumbing company. They are the absolute best!!

I called this company to snake out my main drain line from the kitchen on June 28, 2014. I had placed my work light on an extension cord in the kitchen so they could see under the sink.The owner and a worker showed up timely. They were outside by the washout and said they hear water. They proceeded to go under the house to inspect the drain lines and locate the water source. I noticed they had the same work light that I had, the one in the kitchen with an extension cord attached.
They told me I had busted pipes and the crawl space was full of water. I ask for pictures and they did not take any. But the owner said It's an emergency situation. They quoted me $3800. I declined. They made a second offer of $3200. I declined. They proceeded to leave and ask me to follow them to the truck so they could give me a business card. I followed them to their truck. When I came back into the house, I immediately noticed the extension cord was not attached to my work light. A closer look and I saw it was not my work light on the kitchen floor. I had mine more then 20 years and used it often. My light with the attached extension cord were swiped out for their work light. I called them and the reply was they have their work light. No mention of the extension cord.
The crawl space covers were loosely placed. You should be able to trust companies when they come to your home, whether they get the job or not. That's what professionals do. A hand tool turned up missing after they left.
Three days later, an honest plumber inspected the crawl space and there was no leaking, no standing water or broken pipes.

This is the second time that I have used A1 plumbing. The first time was a complete repipe and new sewer lines along with a special detail for a water softener. The job was completed ontime and a very clean and neat job. I was completely satisfied with the job and the price. They cleaned up everything that needed to be picked up.
The second job was at my new home. I had lived their for 2-1/2 years and all my back of the house plumbing backed up and made terrible rumbling noises. After arriving on the job he pulled out his high dollar camera and proceeded to check the main line. He found a broken section of line in the kitchen and along with a broken new pvc line attached to the old cast iron line. The previous owner attached this new pvc line to an old worn out cast iron line that had broken away form the main line. He showed me the areas that were bad and the whole bottom of the main line was rotted out. This was a total main line replacement that A1 plumbing had to do on a slab floor. Not only was this bad timing but at the Christmas holiday to boot. I had to leave for 4 days while they ripped up the floor in 2 bedrooms, 2 in the kitchen, 1 in the front bathroom and 2 holes in my front yard. They taped off all the adjoining areas to keep dust out and covered all the floors. They actually got the job done a day early with all the clean up. Yes there was some dust in the house but I was really quite surprised on how they only pulled up the tile they needed without damaging any other tiles.
They did a superb job on cleaning and replacing all the dirt and grass in the front yard.
This was no means a small job. Only a professional that has experience can do something like this.
I highly recommend A1 for all your plumbing needs and would if needed use them again. Scott was one of the nicest guys that you could meet and his crew was just as nice.

If in need of a plumber, then you should call A-1 Performance Rooter and Plumbing. Not only will they give you a free estimate (which was almost impossible for me to find) but their prices are extremely reasonable. We had a terrible backup (and I mean terrible) and A-1 Performance sent out Hary who not only fixed it but did it quickly, neatly, and for a reasonable price. Seriously, I was stressed reading all the Yelp reviews, calling all the different companies, and not knowing if I was going to get a good plumber. In the future, if I'm in need of a plumber, I will not stress as I now have a company that is reliable, trustworthy, and can get the job done!
