Mr. Polansky himself  came by and fixed my clogged shower drain. He even asked if he could go in the garage below to see the curvature of the pipe to make sure he snaked it as best it could be done. He offered to install my shower heads  as well. Great service, very nice man. Would recommend to anyone.

Cody was recommended thru Culver mom's group on Facebook and had him come check on a leak in our bathroom. He was detailed in his explanation of work and super nice. He rushed to Home Depot to get the required parts and finished the job in 1hr. Very reasonable pricing as well. He will be my go-to-plumber from now on!!!

Cody is the best! I forgot to write a review the first time I used him and did not want to forget this time. He is fair, responsive and knowledgeable! I am so happy I found him! Fixed leaky p trap below sink which required reworking the whole pipe to the drain below.  Superb work and responded within an hour of me leaving a message.  He showed promptly and performed job well while price was reasonable + matched his estimate.  He takes texts and pics by phone so this allowed a smooth repair.

Cody made quick work of a couple projects for me.  His quote was more than reasonable and he was super nice.  I had another plumber here who quoted me to replace my entire system for $2000.  Cody fixed it in ten minutes and did it for $100 if that give you an idea.  He's very honest and takes pride in his work.

I have had several jobs in a Venice Duplex.  Kitchen and bath faucets, toilets and water heater repairs. Usually I need an appointment because Cody works for himself and does his own work which means he's pretty busy without sending someone to do the job for him. That is a plus. If I know the parts necessary, I'll get them myself and save Cody a trip to Home Depot. His jobs have always been five stars. The last time I asked for him, he couldn't make it because he was wrapped up in a big building job that pinned him for several weeks. He's that good.  and always reasonable. Some people are just fundamentally honest and not out to soak you with lying and a misdiagnosis of plumbing. Cody is one of those good people that I can always trust.

Cody was a great help swapping out an old broken faucet to a new one. This is the second time we worked together last time he swapped out the garbage disposal. Both times he communicated fluently either through txt msg or email and assisted me in picking out the correct new parts to buy for him to install. Cody arrived on time and answered all my technical questions and took the time to replace parts that other mechanics might not have bothered replacing.

Cody did a great job (at a reasonable price) installing a reverse osmosis water filter and a custom kitchen faucet. He also installed a bidet attachment for a toilet and a shower water filter. He was knowledgeable, courteous, on-time and professional. I highly recommend Polansky Plumbing.

My experience with plumbers has not been particularly good...when I have needed one, either the job isn't big enough, or they are too busy.  I actually felt anxious about a pipe bursting, and  I'm pleading with plumbers to come over, the house is filling up.  Then one of the a toilets in our house developed what looked like a leak around the base.  The spot was on the small side, but I felt it should be checked. Plus, I wanted to have an established relationship with a plumber who I could count on.

I called Cody Polansky and it turns out, he is that guy.  I contacted him at the end of the day, he responded himself right away, and unlike a lot of people who tell you, I'm two weeks out, he said he could stop by the next work day  .  He showed up, checked out the problem, showed it us and explained all us what was going on, re-did the seal, and put it back together.  Job well done.

I highly recommend Cody Polansky.  He's competent, efficient, and honest....

My garbage disposal basically exploded under the sink and water was flying everywhere. I checked NextDoor for neighborhood recommendations, and quite a few people suggested Cody Polansky, and then I looked up his stellar yelp reviews. Well, this guy is a find! Unlike other plumbers I've worked with, he gave me a quote over the phone before coming right over. He had a garbage disposal in stock that he installed just like that, and we discovered that one of my pipes under the sink was cracked in multiple areas, so he fixed that too. I then asked him to look at a bathroom sink faucet that has had low water pressure. He looked at it and immediately knew it was the aerator that needed cleaning. He just unscrewed it, took out some sediment, and it was like new. Cody is friendly, honest, knowledgeable and affordable. I am so happy I found such a great plumber.

I first hired Cody to change out my kitchen faucet and the plumbing underneath. His pricing was very reasonable and he did a great job--making sure that the area was kept clean and everything was perfectly positioned.

But I didn't get to truly experience Cody's genius until the second time I hired him. I'd had another plumbing company (also one that gets 5 stars on Yelp) come several months earlier to do a bunch of random things in my house, including install a new anchor in a Kohler toilet and change out a gas pipe under my fireplace. That first company that came changed the anchor on the toilet--but did it wrong--leaving me with the same problem I had before the anchor was changed. They also spent a long time on the fireplace, and told me that it was impossible to change out the pipe without having a contractor come out and dismantle the entire fireplace--tearing out the tile and then replacing it after the pipe was changed. This was going to cost me hundreds of dollars and was a project I really didn't want to undertake.

So Cody came over to change out one of my toilets. When he was done, I mentioned the anchor on the other toilet, and he was like let me take a look. Seriously--within 10 minutes he fixed it--properly! Then, as I was walking him to the door, I mentioned the fireplace thing, and he again said, let me take a look. No joke--he had the old pipe (and valve, which was also bad) out within about 10 minutes--then ran to Home Depot to get a replacement, came back, and had the fireplace working again. I was shocked, since I watched the guys from the other company spend so much time trying to figure out how to do it, before ultimately telling me it couldn't be done.

I'm so grateful to have found Cody. I now feel that whenever a plumbing issue comes up, I have an honest, reliable, won't-drain-your-bank-account partner who's up for challenge, or up to do the small stuff--whatever. I couldn't be happier!

Tenants had dislodged the hot water handle and were leaving for the weekend so I was called to duty. After much research, this seemed like the guy to go to!  

I made quite a few phone calls with no answer or call backs.  I finally texted with my explanation and photos of the problem. Alas, a very quick response!  Things were looking up!  

Then I read said response. A professional, I think not. A plumber should not only know where to purchase the supplies he needs for a job, but also how to spell the fixtures he works on.

I checked, and he is still on the approved vendors list for my old condo in Westwood!

This time out, our master bath toilet was causing major problems for us, and Cody was able to get to the problem and fix it for us.

No one better and came thru for us again!

Reasonable as well!

Cody is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. I had him over today to snake a tub, install a tub faucet, and replace a push button diverter. Snaking a tub is both art and science; he succeeded where I failed. He charges $95 for this work. Given the gashes on my hands from my failed attempt to snake the drain myself, he's worth every cent.

Cody was able to custom solder a pipe fitting for my faucet in his nifty new van - so now the faucet looks beautiful!

It turned out we had the wrong push diverter part, so Cody tried to fix the existing push button diverter by using plumbers lube. That failed, so he taught me how to use the plumbers wrenches my family purchased so I can install the proper diverter later, and skip the expense of a return trip.

Cody has 20 years of experience, including work on installing plumbing in new construction, but now focuses his work on repairs and helping homeowners. I found his prices fair. He lets you pay him via Venmo. He was wonderful around my toddler son, who wanted to watch him work. I will be recommending him to all of my friends.

I needed to replace my kitchen faucet.  I texted him- (I have a doctorates degree, yet I did not check for spelling mistakes nor do I care if my plumber or anyone has typos in a text or an email.  It is irrelevant to the job.  And for the most part lots of people multitask).  He replied right away.  He told me he would not be able to come fix the problem until the end of the week.  I liked his ratings on yelp so I decided I would wait for him to come and do a good job.

I texted him later in the week to actually schedule with him.  We coordinated our schedules.  He showed up on time... was clean looking and with his work...  well mannered and professional... took about an hour to remove, reinstall, and dispose...

not sure if he is licensed... i forgot to ask... i assume he is though...

conclusion: i would recommend him for any faucet install.  he probably is great at other plumbing problems too...

The reviews are true. Polansky Plumbing really is a 5-star business.

I called after business hours about a leaking valve and a bad handle. The voicemail had an option for texting. A couple texts later, I had an appointment for first thing the next morning.

Cody showed up exactly on time . . . with supplies. He fixed the issues and showed me how to fix them on my own in case my other toilet ever experiences the same problems. The price was fair. (He charged me the exact price for the parts and labor was more than reasonable.)

I couldn't be happier. If I ever have a plumbing issue in the future, Cody will be my first call.

The reviews for Polansky Plumbing are very accurate. Sometimes you see five-star reviews but get three-star quality. Polansky definitely deserves his five-star rating. We have had him help out at our office several times now and he will be our first call for all plumbing issues in the future. The fact that you can text him seems small but for my generation it's pretty huge. He's very forthright and explains what happened and how to prevent it. Knowing that he isn't going to rip you off and help you avoid repeat issues in the future is worth every penny we've paid him.

Cody has helped me at least three times now and he is the best and most trustworthy plumber in this town. He came to assist me today after I was ripped off by a washer and dryer repairman. When I realized that my issue was plumbing - the hose in my washer was clogged and water was leaking- I called Cody right away. I am so thankful that he was immediately available because I already wasted the entire morning waiting for the repairman and I still needed to get to work. Cody fixed the clog right away and he charged me a very reasonable price- like he always does! Cody thanks for coming to the rescue! I just wish I could find other handyman (electrician, help with renovation, etc.) like you for other issues.

I was pretty happy with Mr. Polansky service. He was busy when I called. I guess this is normal as he was prolly completing someone else job but he called me back pretty quickly. He came to my house right away. Service was very efficient. It did not take him but one half an hour to solve my shower drain problem I paid $80 for the service. Friendly, gracious ... and good looking which does not hurt.  
I will certainly gave him business next time around

I could not even get past texting this guy to schedule an appointment properly.  To me customer service starts with initial phone contact and this guy said it waste too much of his time to talk.  Well my time of having to wait on answers through texting all day is a waste of time for me when you can get everything said and done in 30 seconds or less by phone.  So, I decided not to have him come by after multiple texts throughout my day, but felt the need to warn others so they don't experience the intitial frustration, and lack of customer respect I did.
Especially if you have an emergency.

Cody was very easy to work with.   I needed to have my toilet reset as it was leaking from the bottom.

His preferred method of contact is through text message.  I texted him my issue and sent along a few photos and he got back to me very quickly.  Even though he was fully booked he agreed to come at a non-standard hour (6:30am!) and take care of my issue.  

He took care of the problem and double checked everything else to make sure all was in working order.  I would highly recommend.

I called Cody today because my garbage disposal was backed up. He was available the same day, and was at my home within a couple of hours.

Cody was quick to explain the different problem areas he check first, and how to fix them on my own. Once he identified the problem (about five minutes in), he showed me what tool I needed to fix it and also demonstrated how should I ever have the problem again. I was very impressed by this because he stands to make more if I don't know how to fix it myself and have to call him again next time.

Cody was professional and his services are reasonably priced. I'll be recommending him to my friends and family from now on.

Cody has all the great qualities you want in a plumber: honesty, expertise, and reasonable prices. He replaced my garbage disposal last year and today he came to check on my bathtub clog. Unfortunately it's worse than I thought and need to call someone else with heavy duty equipment, but Cody still checked all over the house and outside going to the main line. He thoroughly explained what was going on. SO helpful! He didn't even charge me.

Cody was great, very responsive, efficient and charged me exactly what he quoted, to the dollar.  He was conscious of keeping my home tidy and shows pride in his work rather than subbing things out to others. Texted this morning with a photo of my non-flushing toilet issue (on a complicated low-flow, pressurized toilet) and got a response back within minutes.  Cody was at my house within a few hours, having stopped to pick up the needed part on the way.  Repaired the toilet and charged me very fairly, including his wholesale cost for the part.   Bravo!   I love supporting a small business owner vs. a big corporation.

We woke up to a leaky faucet, and when my hubby broke it apart, it was evident we would have to replace it due to a broken hose inside.

I called Polansky Plumbing based on the reviews, but I wasn't hoping for immediate service since it was a Sunday evening.  But surprise, surprise, Cody called us back and offered to come out to get it done that same night.  We were thrilled with the price he quoted and how timely he got it done.  

I always have a weird suspicion about dentists, auto mechanics, and plumbers.  I'm sure I'm not the only one, and  I'm so happy I found a reliable, trustworthy plumber in my neighborhood who doesn't charge an arm and a leg.  I would definitely call Cody again if I ever needed his services.

Cody was early for my 7 am appointment. He replaced the kitchen disposal, snaked the drain, fixed the faucet, and replaced the rubber ring in my toilet all in 45 minutes. And he completed the work for less than he quoted. Cody is on time, conscientious, ethical, hard working, experienced, fast, polite and does great work. The reason why he gets so many five star reviews is because he provides the best customer service. PERIOD. Cody is the only person I will call for my plumbing needs. Don't worry If he does not get back to you quickly. He is awfully busy because he is a great plumber and has very loyal customers. He will respond quickly if you text him. This is the second time I've used Polansky Plumbing and we are very pleased.  Cody is quick, efficient, and makes every effort to arrive as soon as possible.  I texted him in the morning when I knew I had a clogged kitchen sink, and he came to do the job in the early afternoon.  Cody stayed in close contact by texting so I would know when to expect him.  He cleared the clog quickly and efficiently, checked the other sinks and showers, and found an additional clog that needed clearing.  He also replaced parts in our patio faucet to stop it from leaking.  He had the parts in his truck which saved time. My plumbing company told me that they only handle drainage problems.  Thank heavens for that as it led me to Cody.  After reading his reviews I wanted to try him.  I was pleasantly surprised he was able to come the very next morning.  I had a issue with my bathtub faucet that he fixed without me having to buy any spare parts.  Very honest, just saw the problem, did some adjustments and it was fixed.  I wondered if he could recommend someone to fix my furnace. He asked what  the problem was and within a few minutes he had that fixed too!! GREAT morning for me!!  To quote someone else, he will now be my go to guy.

If only all service providers were this good.  Imagine my surprise when I found Cody parked at my house 15 minutes prior to our scheduled time in the morning.  He followed it up by being thorough, quick and thoughtful.  When he felt there were some things I might be able to do by myself without incurring additional costs, he offered those solutions.  In fact, there was a piece that I needed to purchase and, after I got home with the purchased piece and could not complete the job that we both thought I could do, he came back to my house to complete the job - again, thoroughly and quickly.

I had looked over many of his reviews before calling him and noticed that there was only one bad one - from a person who obviously misunderstood Cody's great business style and ethics.

I wish I could say that I'll never need Cody again, but I'm sure that will sadly not be the case. My only hope is that he's around and available when I need his plumbing service in the future.

So I had a great first appointment with Cody when he came to fix my garbage disposal about a month ago. Came same day and was super nice. Even installed my gas fire place, which was not originally discussed.

I hired him again, after such a great first encounter, to work on my natural gas grill out side and convert my fire pit into gas. He came to the house to give it a look, got the parts and we needed to wait a few days for the gas ring to come in so he could install that into the pit. I know NOTHING about the science behind this and especially when it comes to pricing of these accessories we would need so I asked Cody, once he gave me his estimate, to bring the receipt for the parts because my boyfriend thought it sounded kind of high for what we needed. This all happened via text and Cody did not respond very well. We weren't trying to offend him, I think it's a legitimate request to ask for the receipt. My boyfriend is very familiar with the parts we needed and he could find them all on amazon for MUCH less. I even told Cody the price will be fine, we just want to see the receipt. I posted a picture of our final texts when he told me this is a business and that I need to find someone else to do the job. Not really sure where everything went awry. Definitely something fishy about this.

Cody has come to our rescue many times and provides EXCELLENT service!
He works around our work schedules and has come to fix our plumbing needs the same day we reach out to him - even if he is really busy, he still squeezes us in.  He's installed a water purifier in our kitchen, unclogged multiple sinks, showers and toilets and has fixed leaky faucets. He's incredibly professional, prompt, thorough and quick. I would HIGHLY recommend him for any of your plumbing needs.

I had a problem with my toilet, and Cody was able to diagnose the potential problem from my description, and come equipped with the right parts from my text photo. He fixed the toilet problem, and solved another small issue with my bathroom faucet, for a small extra fee.

I made contact with several plumbers on a Sunday afternoon and Cody replied back within minutes and was able to come at 8 am the very next day. His service, communication and work was impeccable.

Polansky Plumbing and Cody are the real deal!!! I had a kitchen faucet that was installed many years ago before we had our place and the previous owners did not leave the special tool needed to remove it. I went to Home Depot at least 4 times buying all sorts of tools with 0 luck, looked online for methods that I could do myself and still struck out... decided had to call a professional. Of course like everyone else I went to Yelp and found plumbers that service my area with high reviews. I stumbled upon Polansky Plumbing and was impressed by their reviews, so called and left a voice mail. I did this for several other plumbers and found a few that seemed great as well... but when Cody reached back to me via text and asked all the right questions. I sent him a picture of the devilish kitchen faucet that put a whooping on me to make sure he knew what he was getting into. He replied back letting me know he has a tool for just this type of job and could be to me the next morning and let me know what is quote was for this job. Which I really think he under bid himself and was slightly in fear that the bill would double once he got into the job, like many people would have in this position. But not Cody, he got in there and slayed that faucet with ease and installed my new kitchen faucet like a true professional. He stuck to his word and now we have a working beautiful kitchen faucet working like a dream again!

If you're looking for a plumber dont waste your time looking for anyone else and just go with Cody, you will not regret this decision.

After scheduling an appointment with Cody on a one day notice, he arrived right on time and knew exactly what my issue was. He got the job done and was extremely personable and professional while doing so. At no point did I get the feeling of a hard sell of anything that I didn't need. He was also very fair with his rate/pricing for my situation.

It's definitely refreshing to see genuine people running an honest business. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to him if you had any issues. The other reviews are what brought me here and now I am doing my part to continue the positive vibes for his business.

All the 5 star reviews seemed too good to be true but I decided to give Cody a try. I could not have been more wrong! He is extraordinary. I had a leaky kitchen faucet. Cody found the cause of the leak in a faulty part.
He said it could cost as much as $70 BUT that the part was under warranty and free if I wanted to contact the company, Delta Faucet, which I did. Delta was gracious and sent me a replacement ...no charge.
Cody came back to install the part. He is personable and has great integrity...hard to find these days. Two house calls: $90. Yes, I now have a reliables write  plumber.

I'm not a frequent Yelp review writer but whenever I get exceptionally good service, I have to let people know. I had problems with my sink (garbage disposal didn't work and had a leak). After doing a quick search on yelp, I found Plansky plumbing. I called on a Saturday morning expecting to leave a message and eventually get an appointment later in the week. However, Cody responded to me within minutes. He actually came out to my place in West LA within (15 minutes). What a response time!!!

Cody was very friendly, honest, and got the job done fast. He gave me some pointers on what happened with my sink and replaced the garbage disposal with no problem. I know hiring a plumber can be a daunting task. There are so many horror stories about plumbers taking advantage of people and doing poor jobs. My experience with Cody was the complete opposite.

Friendly, honest, efficient, diligent, and reasonably priced!!! Why would you call anyone else???

I've had Cody help me out on two projects.  The most recent one was a small metal spoon lodged in my garbage disposal.  He could've easily taken a part the disposal, accounting for more time, or told me I needed a new one based on the damage.  I would have had no idea otherwise. But... instead he was able to dislodge the spoon without breaking anything which saved me a lot of time and money.  He is very responsive and very fair.  He also communicates via text and accepts payment via Venmo, which is super progressive for this service.  Super easy, super trustworthy and an all around decent human!

I was so impressed with Cody that I'm writing this review unprompted.  I texted Cody on Friday about needing to replace my kitchen faucet, and he texted back within 10 minutes that he had availability on Monday morning (it wasn't an urgent job so I was pleasantly surprised by the timeliness).  He arrived early to the appointment and was finished in half an hour. He also accepts Venmo! Doesn't get much easier than that.

Why aren't there 6 stars to give to this man!? Cody is my hero!

My shop has had some toilet clog issues - we were looking for a plumber who was close by and could solve the problem. Others we called were like Santa Monica is too far away. We don't work on Saturdays. etc. etc. Cody came out quickly and snaked the toilet - problem solved in a flash. His price was super reasonable too! He's helpful, efficient, clean and just a nice guy. We're so glad we found you!

High quality, EXCELLENT communication, great follow through. We manage over 800 units in the West Los Angeles area, and Polansky Plumbing has come through for us time and time again. My only wish is that there were 10 Polansky's out there that could do all of our service calls.

Fair in business and good prices. You will not be disappointed with their service. Cody, the owner, is personable, and highly educated in the world of plumbing. If you have a problem, call 'em.

We have worked with the company for almost 10 years. They have newer updated equipment. The owner is always looking for ways to improve service and expand to new technology (Tankless water-heaters).

He carries full insurance. His trucks run well, never an issue of canceled appointments due to car breakdown etc.  We've only received the highest compliments from tenants after he has performed service.

You will not be disappointed.

I found Cody, thanks to the great reviews here. We had a leaky kitchen faucet that needed fixing. First of all, Cody answered when I called (other plumbers hadn't), and he came out the next day. Upon inspecting the faucet, it was clear the thing needed replacing. I was working from home that day, and Cody went off to Home Depot to get a new faucet (even calling me from the store to let me know what my options were) and brought it back. He did a great job installing it -- and clearing a slow drain while he was at it.

We're very pleased with the results -- who knew a new kitchen faucet could make you so happy! -- and look forward to having him come back to do more work.

The other reviews are spot on -- Cody is fast, reliable, honest, and friendly.

I used Cody Polansky for a 3rd time.   Grateful to have a high standard and ethical gentleman do the work at my rental property.  A leaky pipe under the kitchen sink was a quick clean repair and also the kinked cold water line under the bathroom sink was repaired without using a different line. Cody knew I was going to have new vacationing tenants come in and this was an emergency for me..  Still he charged me a very reasonable price.  I have several rentals and plumbing can be a major stress, but it's nice to have a reliable and ethical plumber that can subdue much of the stress.  Now if only I had a carpenter and electrician I could say the same about.

If it leaks or won't drain, call Cody.

Happened to us recently in Cheviot. Bathtub and shower had four inches of black water when we went to bed. When we woke up, the water was gone but not the guck. Even worse, our washing machine was spilling water onto the floor.

We called Cody.  First he snaked out main drain and the tub and water flowed joyfully out as fast as we could run it in. On to the washing machine, wedged in a narrow enclosure. Cody carefully coaxed it out and immediately saw the problem: its drain was completely closed, overflowed after a few quarts of water. But careful snaking with a smaller snake. Done, fixed.

What struck me during the process was two things. First, house plumbing takes brains as much as muscle and equipment, at least to do it right. Getting the very heavy washer/drier out of its little house without damage took thought and care, and was done perfectly. Second, it was so good to have a cheerful someone on the job, happily sharing the theory and practice of what he was doing. The next problem we have, we know where to call. Call early -- he's busy.

Cody Polansky is a plumber and a gentleman.  He was the only one to return my call after trying a few different plumbers that I found on Yelp.  He was polite and communicative, keeping me informed regarding the earliest time he could get to me.  

Although he only has 3 other reviews on Yelp at the time of writing this, I would highly recommend him.  He's fast, reliable, honest and friendly.  

He came into fix our garbage disposal and ended up fixing the slow running shower drain and loose faucet as well, for no extra charge.  He charges a flat call-out rate of $90 (plus cost price on a new garbage disposal unit, $95).

I have his number in my phone now and I will definitely use him again if I need a plumber.

Never have I imagined being inspired enough to write a review for a service provider such as a plumbing company on YELP.  I have only taken the time and felt it helpful to others to rate restaurants.  That feeling changed after my experience today with Polansky Plumbing.  

I called for a relatively urgent need to repair our toilet and called Cody (Polansky?) Cody was not like any other plumber I had ever called.  He asked about the problem and stated exactly what the issue was likely to be.  He also asked me to tell him exactly which model it was so that he could tell me if he had the exact parts potentially needed in his truck so as not to waste any time if he couldn't fix completely right away.  He was clear about pricing and was very thorough, clean and quick at the same time. He even fixed an extra part for free (just charged for parts).  

What was particularly striking was just how honest, friendly and knowledgeable Cody was and his prices were very fair and those are among the reasons why I will always call Cody first in the future.   Thank you Cody. I highly recommend him and am happy to know that there are honest, hard working people in the world that earn a living being fair and knowing that honesty and well honed skills will earn enough repeat business that they will be very, very successful.

We have been lucky enough to call Cody our plumber since we bought our house, about 5 years ago. He is AMAZING. We have had several plumbing emergencies that required immediate attention (think burst backyard pipe spraying 6 feet into the air) and Cody always makes us a priority. Last week, we had another water emergency that left us without our kitchen faucet while a part had to be ordered/shipped. Cody is not only a totally amazing plumber, but a stand up guy-he lent us a faucet for the week because he didn't want us washing our dishes with the hose in the backyard.

Cleaned up everything and made sure all the pipes were flowing properly (had a backed up kitchen drain problem, past the disposal unit).
he responded quickly to my text and was able to come over about 2-3 hours after being contacted (i told him it was not an emergency).

Cody is the best plumber i have ever used. to start out he knows how to communicate any way that you want to communicate , either by the old fashioned telephone call or via a quick text. He is always punctual. If I ask him to be at my home at 7 am he is there at 6:50 am (or earlier, with out fail). this past call I had a leak in my kitchen sink and he told me he would squeeze me in and be over the next day and again he came to my house in time for my interested 7 am appointment time . But first he suggested I shoot him a picture of the leaking faucet and then I went to Hole Depot and got a couple of different types of faucets, all to the exact parameters of pipe thread and psi that would work for the fancy / modern faucet I wanted. I have a water purification system that my Handyman jeri- rigged with hoses hanging messily all over the kitchen sink. He figured out a way to use the soap dispenser hole and make the wires all contained.
H also installed a high end massaging shower head and checked on my bathroom sink. I am a renter and he charges my landlord for the basic work that he the does and gives me a more than fair price for the extra work that i have dine (for luxury instead of necessary leaks. All without any hassle and or complaining. And he even describes the mechanics and the ins and outs of why he chooses a particular method of fixing things.And his prices are more than fair. Lat time I was short a few dollars and he just took what I had at hand at the time of service.
And he does not show any butt cracks AND he smells fine. I would write  more rave reviews of Cody but it is time for bed so that I can  get up for work at 6 am.
I do trust him in my house alone and know that he will clean up better than I would and lock the door properly. I happily give Cody Polansky
a  5 + Stars  Superior Rating.

I called Cody when our kitchen faucet started leaking.  He was polite and asked me to text him a photo of the faucet so he could figure out next steps...he got back to me right away and suggested I pick up the replacement cartridge at Snyder Diamond.  I texted him back once I had the replacement part and he came over that afternoon to fix our leaky kitchen faucet.  Cody showed up early and even though the job turned out to be a bit more complicated, he took his time and got the faucet fixed! Cody was polite, reliable and we would definitely use him again.

Such a great plumber! I called Thanksgiving weekend because our washing machine outlet backed up. His message said that he was (understandably!) out of the office until Monday. I left a message and he texted me right away saying that he was out of town but could come as early as 6:30am Monday if it would help. If you're looking for a plumber...SEARCH NO MORE!

Cody is the man! I called him because my toilet was leaking and even though he said his truck was in the shop, he wanted to come out that same day to look at the problem. When he came to my house (exactly the time he said he would), he showed me exactly what was wrong with my toilet and said what he had to do to fix it. And here's the true test to know whether the person you're about to hire is trying to scam you or not: he genuinely told me that I could fix the toilet myself if I wanted to, and which parts I needed to buy. It seemed like he really cared about my toilet being fixed and decided to let him do the job. He charged an extremely EXTREMELY reasonable amount, fixed my toilet, and followed up with me right away.

If I could give him 10 stars, I would. Instead, I'll just urge you dear Yelp browser whose toilet or sink or whatever is broken or clogged or leaking...CALL CODY! I've done the legwork, I've called many places, and Cody will not disappoint (and neither will his prices!)

Amazing service. Came right over when I called this morning. Didn't mess around. Fixed a valve that needed to be replaced, which was all I had originally called about. Great and quick help. Great guy. I needed help and called a couple plumbers. The first just wouldn't get back to me after he made me feel like the work was beneath him. The second explained that the work was too difficult for him. Finally I called Polanski. He answered and explained he could probably come by the next day. Just called Polansky about replacing a leaky toilet valve and Cody got back to me immediately.  He then asked if I would like to try trouble shooting over the phone.  He told me exactly what to do and which bolts to tighten and my toilet leak appears to be alleviated without time or money spent!  I am thrilled and so pleased to have found such an honest plumber.  I will not hesitate to call him again for any future needs.  Highly recommend!!

Saw elsewhere that Cody prefers texting, so I texted him about my clogged kitchen sink. Got a response within ten minutes. He said he could come in an hour and half. I was pleasantly surprised when Cody showed exactly on time. Not only did he quickly and efficiently clear the clog, he sealed and re-tightened another fitting beneath my sink without charging extra. Glad to find a local plumber who is so honest, reasonably priced, and punctual. He just won a new client for life! :)

Based on Yelp reviews, I called Cody and he responded immediately by text. Yes, text.  Efficient, professional, immediate texting.  He came on time the next day.  A previous plumber had told me I had needed to replace a bathroom faucet.  Cody took a look at the handles, popped up the tops and tightened the screws.  An honest plumber.  Fixed in less than a minute.  He replaced the kitchen faucet with complete professionalism.  I will only use Cody in the future and I will make sure my hoa management company knows about him.  Thank you for a job well done!!!

There are times when you read all these great reviews and wonder if there was some motivation behind them (i.e. Discount).  That is not the case with Polansky Plumbing.  Cody is 5 stars all the way as he is quick to respond, has very reasonable prices and does a top notch job. Unfortunately I have dealt with numerous plumbers over the years and had some shotty work and outrageous prices.  The next time I need a plumber the decision will be easy, just give Polansky Plumbing a call (or a text as he prefers!).

I have had the pleasure of  using Cody twice within the last 30 days; hard to use the word pleasure and needing a plumber in the same sentence but dealing with him was a welcome relief.  The first time I called him (got his name from Yelp) he responded faster than 911 and was at my home within an hour or so.  Clearly, he knows what he's doing and at every opportunity, looks to save his customers money.  His recent service call required parts and he had me take and text pictures to him so he wouldn't first get to us and need to charge for driving  time rounding up parts.  With both visits, our problems were solved immediately and at a truly fair price.  Honestly, best plumber experience I have ever had and would recommend him wholeheartedly and without any hesitation.

I had an issue with the kitchen faucet and bathtub drain. Mr. Polansky was so easy to communicate with via text and phone and he was thorough and transparent with his assessment of what might've been contributing to my problems. He gave me a quote and recommended that I purchase a new faucet just in case I needed one but that the priority would be to save my existing one. He made this recommendation so I wouldn't incur any unnecessary costs if he had to come out again. This shows thoughtfulness and a concern for his clients. I've already recommended him to other friends and I highly recommend him. I want to add that he came early to the appointment, was prepared and finished both jobs in about an hour. I couldn't ask for a better plumber.

Cody was amazing, he really came through for us in a pinch. We were on our way out of town and the in laws had just arrived for a visit and our toilet clogged. He came on short notice, was very timely and great at communicating when he was on his way, and was friendly and super professional and so skilled. The problem ended up being more complicated than anticipated but Cody fixed it quickly and was very reasonably priced. He really helped us out and we're so glad we have a great, reliable plumber in the area now.

I called on a Friday and Cody was out of town for the weekend so I got a call on Monday.  That was ok, I wasn't really in a hurry.  I needed a hot water tank replaced and I had called another plumber first who seemed to want me to do all sorts of extra work and had a pretty high bid.  Cody gave me a quote over the phone if it was a basic job of just changing a water heater--which it was.  I thought his bid seemed fair and we scheduled the work for the next day.  He showed up exactly on time or maybe even 5 minutes early.  He had the new water heater installed pretty quickly.  It has been a few months now and things are still working great. :)

Called Polansky Plumbing yesterday to see if he could help fix the valve on my gas fire pit.  He texted back right away and came this morning to look at it to see if it would be an easy fix or require him to dig up the valve.  Luckily it was the easy fix, he called a place and went to get the part, and came back and installed it.  The whole thing took just over an hour from start to finish and he was very reasonably priced.  I will definitely use him again for any plumbing issues and highly recommend him to others.

I had a gas leak suddenly occur in my water heater. I called and Cody showed up in less than 1/2 hour. Within minutes he had found a leak in the tubing entering the control valve, replaced it, and even disabled part of the space heater that was making a noise. Then I asked if he could install a kitchen faucet I had bought at Costco years ago. In less than an hour everything was perfect, at a very reasonable price.
I've met lots of repair people over the years, and this guy seems as straightforward and honest as they come. I would hire him again to do any other job. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I had a blocked kitchen sink and wanted a local plumber. I checked Yelp and was impressed with the five star reviews. After the initial phone call we coordinated by texting which I appreciated as there is nothing worse than playing phone tag. Cody came at 7:00am on the day I requested and arrived on time. What a gentleman and such an honest and wonderful guy.  He first told me over the phone how to try to fix my broken garbage disposal to save myself money!!  That worked but since my disposal is so old it sounded like it would crap out again any second.  He came out immediately and I was very impressed by how efficient, clean and a genuinely great guy he is.  I would give 10 stars if I could.  Would highly recommend his services to anyone and will definitely be calling him in the future.  I've owned my condo for over 8 years and have had plumbing issues in the past.  I've always just google searched and used whomever called me back first.  Cody called me back first today and told me he could come immediately, ... I called Cody after researching on yelp, when I needed a new garbage disposal and had a leaky kitchen faucet.  He was willing to come by early at 6am (before I had to go to work) to fix it in about a half hour.  He is reasonably priced and very efficient.  He had me text him photos of my old garbage disposal and leaky faucet, so he could bring the appropriate items before arrival.  A few weeks later, I even texted him when I had a clogged bathtub, and he came by the very next morning.  I could not be happier that I found such a nice, reasonable, and competent plumber, and will be using him from now on.

I called Polansky Plumbers today and Cody came over right away. He was very sweet and helpful. My toilet was clogged and he had it working within the hour. He used a large snake and had to take the toilet out. He replaced the wax ring around the toilet, and the whole thing came to $95 which is pretty amazing. Before him I called Honest Plumbing (since they also serviced the Venice area) and they quoted me $95 JUST for an estimate and they couldn't even come until tomorrow. And when you have one toilet, you really need to get that working as soon as possible. I would recommend Polansky Plumbing to anyone!

I called Cody to get an estimate on replacing an outdoor water valve with a lever for my father-in-law's house.  I mentioned to him that my father-in-law was 82 years old, and he needed an easy turning valve. Cody bought a larger valve and installed it.  He was quick and very professional.  I asked him to replace the two shower heads, and he had two low flow shower heads in his vehicle.  His price was incredible and very, very reasonable.  If you are looking for a great plumber then call Cody.

Adding my five stars to the others.  Cody came and fixed several nagging plumbing issues, including a toilet that a previous plumber had not handled correctly, which had resulted in a large water bill.  Showed me why water meter indicated we didn't have leaky pipes, and why toilet was the problem -- and a fast, easy, and inexpensive fix. Total bill was very reasonable, although I gladly would have paid more to finally have this stuff off my list.  We walked around our house last night marvelling at all the things finally working properly.  Agree that Cody's text communication is helpful and saves time -- sent him a photo of shower type so he could buy part in advance.  For next plumbing issue I won't wait -- he will get our call immediately.

Excellent Skills / Excellent Service!!! Had two faucets (bath and kitchen) with clogs making the water pressure decrease so all we were getting was a trickle of water coming out. It was our new tenant's FIRST day so it was an embarrassment! I called Cody and he texted me back right away! Then gave me his thoughts over the phone about what might be the problem. I asked him to come over and he showed up early and was prepared to knock out the problems. Gave me regular reports as to how it was progressing and discussed options with me that SAVED US MONEY! He was super efficient and he really knows plumbing (which is what you want when you call for a plumber!) His pricing was totally fair and I was pleased on all levels. Based on my experience from working with our previous plumber for years to the experience of speaking to several plumbing services for estimates for our recent plumbing job which brought us to Cody, I can say that Cody of Polansky Plumbing stood out, shined and delivered above and beyond our expectations. Our go to plumber of years had always been great but lately began to send a, although very experienced, new employee to handle plumbing service calls. Said new employee never did the job quite right and on every occasion had to be called to return to touch up/tighten/properly adjust/etc his work. Thus, I set out in search of a new plumber for a simple job of replacing appliance gas shut off valves. Upon inspection of the job our former plumber said this would be a tough job, that it would require 2 to 3 hours and he couldn't provide me a cost estimate.

I contacted (called and texted) multiple plumbing companies. I encountered an 'inexplicable' wide range of cost and time required estimates although I provided a detailed explanation of the job including pictures. I even came across one plumbing company who informed me of a 50% hourly surcharge due to the distance traveled to our home. On the other hand, Cody responded to my morning phone call promptly, with an estimate for labor + parts, a mention that is was a fairly simple job, and, although he was busy, offered to come by and inspect to confirm the estimate. Although we hadn't confirmed whether we would hire him to do the job, Cody purchased the parts necessary for the job on his way to our home for the estimate inspection! Unlike our previous plumber who consistently never had quite the right parts. Upon his inspection Cody confirmed the cost estimate, walked us through the necessary steps for the job but wasn't at all pushy. On the spot we gave Cody the green light to do the job. Cody completed the job in about 20 minutes! Cody was friendly, respectful, professional, and showed and explained what he was be doing. He was thorough and upon our request took the extra time and effort to hook up our appliances at no charge after he was done with the original job.

With regards to the previous reviewer's comments (March 2014) regarding the price for parts: Cody provided us an exact quote for labor and parts prior to the job. He stuck to it. When it came to the parts, although I didn't ask him to, he showed me the packaging for the parts he had purchased which had the price tags attached. This amount closely matched his original estimate for parts. In, short, Cody didn't mark up the parts.

I highly recommend Cody of Polansky plumbing. We have already told our neighbor about him. We will definitely contact Cody again shall future plumbing needs arise.

After a landlord that's been too busy to fix our garbage disposal for the past 2 weeks that, for some reason was always breaking anyways, I found this guy. He answered his own phone and I got an instant response. Came the very next day at 8am sharp - very prompt and professional. He looked at our garbage disposal, let us know it was rusty on the inside and that YES it's ok to grind lemon seeds if they go down accidentally, contrary to what our landlord has said. Found out that it actually WASN'T the lemon seeds causing the breakage, but the thing itself. Polansky replaced it and was in and out in 30 minutes. Also showed us how to manually grind stuff if it ever stops again and that there is actually a rest button at the bottom to press when such a thing happens. An exceptional guy. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Cody comes highly recommended. We called him with a broken handle to our already running bathtub. Cody showed up with all the parts necessary and had everything fixed within the hour. Very friendly and responsive. Price was much better than expected and very fair. This guy is great. Our highest recommendation.

I received a call from my tenant about black rubber-like material coming out of the bathroom faucets. Under property management, two different plumbers had previously attempted to solve the issue with replacing minor parts in the bathroom. I called Cody on a Saturday (I'm pretty sure he was on vacation until Monday) and left a voicemail message to call me if it was something he could help with. Within minutes I received a text from him and was able to send him photos. He offered to check it out first thing Monday at no charge if he couldn't help. On the contrary, he identified the problem in the water heater supply lines. The water heater was over 20 years old so I decided to replace it along with the new supply lines. Cody quoted me a great rate, did the work and sent the invoice all within a few hours. Done and done just like that. I couldn't be more pleased with Cody's service and wouldn't hesitate to contact him again.

Wow if only this was how business as usual would be everywhere!  Sent Cody a text at 4:30 AM.  Went to sleep.  Had a response at 6:30 AM which I didn't see until waking at 7:30 AM.  Confirmed what I needed and he IMMEDIATELY rushed to Home Depot, got the washing machine hoses, installed them, checked their functionality, and was out of my condo by 8:45 AM.  whew!  And the whole time was very polite and answered all my questions/concerns.  Didn't charge any trip fee or something for picking up the hoses either, just the standard $90 service fee plus $20 for the hoses.  Not sure if that's competitive pricing or not but I definitely have my trust in his reliability and skill, and considering the rush job for nothing extra I'm satisfied with the value.

Cody Polansky was glowingly recommended by my neighbor, so I called him to unclog my shower drain. He showed up on time, took pride in his work, and we had a nice chat as he dredged out some truly disgusting slimy hair with his snake. He seems like a very kind, friendly, reasonable, and trustworthy person. I will definitely call him the next time I need a plumber.

Cody replaced our dripping kitchen sink faucet this morning and I'm so happy with the results! When I first called him I explained the issue, plus another issue we were having with a leaking tub faucet. I was particularly grateful that he gave an honest assessment of the issue related to the tub, which very likely was going to lead to a larger job then we wanted to do at this time. For the kitchen faucet, he gave me a firm quote and we scheduled for him to come do the job the very next day. He was timely, polite, and personable, even putting up with my very curious 2 year-old son who was devastated when he found out that I wouldn't let him play with Cody's toolbox. Even though it took a bit longer and more work to extract our very old faucet, Cody kept to his original price quote, plus even installed a cap cover for the removed sprayer hose at no additional charge. Job completed, cleaned up, and back to our lives as usual in less than an hour. Would recommend him and will definitely use him again!

The few times I've had plumbing issues in my old building, Cody has come to the rescue. Recently my apartment flooded. There was a half inch of standing water in my dining room. I called Cody, who was on another job at the time, and still arrived at my place within the hour, and fixed the problem quickly. He's professional, courteous, friendly, and great at what he does. I'd never call anyone else.

Cody Polansky has been taking care of our plumbing issues for about five years now. The last call was just to deliver and install a new seat for the bathroom, but we have been through a full main sewer line replacement with him. He is always quick to respond and been fair in what he charges.

Cody just came to fix my leaky kitchen sink on a Sunday -- the Sunday before Christmas Eve. He answered the call and came right away, did a great job and was reasonably priced. I think it was his regular minimum price -- no weekend surcharge. I will use him again and will recommend him.

Quick, efficient and honest. Everything you want in a plumber, or anyone for that matter. Came right away, made a minor adjustment and voila! Working disposal!  I will definitely call again.

Cody is AMAZING!

What a huge relief to have found him! I had called a large plumbing company for an emergency Saturday job for a backing up shower. I was reluctant in doing so, but they were the only ones available. They came quoted me an astronomical price and tried selling me a 'service plan' to get a discount. I was trapped because I had renters coming just 2 hours to stay for the week. I negotiated them down, but it was still expensive. They ended up snaking through the master toilet because they stated I did not have a clean out drain. I was charged extra for the toilet pull. Less than a week later it was backing up again. I call back the same company who came and snaked again; however they said it would probably happen again and that I needed to install a clean out (which would have cost me thousands of dollars). After they left my pipes backed up. I looked on Yelp and found Cody. He called me back shortly after I left a message and was to my house within 15minutes. He looked around the house, looked under the house and eventually found the clean out drain that the other company told me I did not have. He snaked and I haven't had a problem since! It is rare to find people that actually take pride in their work. Cody is that rare find!!! I highly recommend Cody for anyone who wants a plumber who is honest, knowledgable, responsible, reasonable in price and just an overall good guy!

Last night we experienced a catastrophic failure relative to our kitchen sinks water evacuation system . ( Clogged Drain ) . We hopped on Yelp , and found Cody and all of his 5 Star reviews. To be honest , when you see so many people raving about an independent business man such as him self, you have to be skeptical .  Well we gave him a call , he showed up right away , and was upfront about his service call fee.  It turned out it wasn't our drain that was clogged , but a blockage in our pipe down in our parking garage .  He located and addressed the issue in no time at all. We also pointed out that our garbage disposal had a crack in it and was leaking . He happened to have a unit made by the same company that made our 7 year old unit . He installed it in about 10 minutes and we couldn't be happier. These ( And our ) review are completely accurate , and you should not hesitate for a moment to call this man to handle any issues you might have .  His service was so good , that I offered for him to add some money to the bill to cover his credit card processing fees. He never suggested that I do this . It was something I just felt we should do due to his great service and professionalism . I highly suggest you do the same .

If you're looking for competent, honest, knowledgeable and courteous, Cody Polansky is your man. Furthermore, he understands how things work and the most direct and reasonable way to repair them. After a disastrous encounter with a previous plumber, Polansky was and is five-star outstanding.

What a nice guy.  I thought I had a big plumbing problem,  and Cody diagnosed it as a very small problem.  It only took a few minutes of his time so he did not charge me anything and told me how I could fix it on my own, saving on costs.  And, oh yah, he was at my door in less than an hour from my initial call.  A+ for this plumber.

If only there were a 12 star rating, I would give it to Polansky Plumbing.  After arriving at my daughter's Marina del Rey apartment (she was out of town) 2 days before Christmas, I discovered the master bath toilet was not functioning AT ALL.  Out of sheer desperation, I went on Yelp to search for local plumbers and  found Polansky Plumbing.  Somewhat hopelessly, I called the number at 6:00 a.m. and left a message.  WITHIN MINUTES, I received a text asking if I was available for him to come over and get this toilet fixed.  I called him right back, he answered on the first ring (I guess I woke him up with the first phone call!) and he asked me to take a picture of the inside of the tank and send to him so that he could get to Home Depot to buy the part in the event he didnt already have one in stock.  30 minutes lates, Cody rang our door bell.  Still thinking this was too good to be true, I hurriedly woke up my sleeping husband to tell him that there was a plumber at the door.  He thought I was having an hallucination and went back to sleep.  HA!  Cody came in and within 15 minutes, the toilet was working perfectly!  My bill?  A mere $124 dollars which included labor (again, 7 am on a holiday SAturday morning) and 3 parts from Home Depot (no mark up applied).  I can't say that I wish more plumbing problems in the future, but were there to be, Polansky Plumbing will be the only call I will ever need to make!   If only all service providers gave this kind of SUPERB service.  Thanks, Cody!
