I will add my voice to the chorus of 4-star reviews for Rave Plumbing. Juan just replaced worn out fixtures in my shower and tub. I have an old (1928) house and it wasn't an easy job. Both shower and tub had been leaking for months and months-bucketfuls of water every week. I'm sure my water bill will go down now! Juan was very professional, polite--and reliable. He was always on time or called if he was running late. He took the time to explain things to me and I felt his prices were very fair. I will definitely use him again-and recommend him to my friends.

Hands down the most professional and hard-working crew. Our main line broke, and my neighbor across the street put me in touch with Rave. They were very busy that day, and my water had been turned off for 2 days already. Juan came early to check things out. We are renters, so he had to deal with my landlord. I was so impressed with his professionalism and kindness. Landlord gave him the green light. They busted their asses. Crew was great. You would never know they had to dig a trench in my front yard. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We used RAVE Plumbing & Rooter, as first time customers, yesterday and today, to clear badly clogged sink and main sewer lines. Yesterday they came quickly on an emergency basis after I unsuccessfully tried to engage four other plumbers. Our lowest toilet and adjacent tub were completely backed up, essentially shutting down our whole system. We were desperate.

DAY #1

Their technician Bryan was timely, courteous and knowledgeable--and thankfully, arriving in late afternoon, extended his workday to help us. He tried the external main sewer cleanout (difficult to access) without joy. So he had to reset the toilet and eventually use a medium duty snake to break through a root & wipes clog, which cleared the standing water. Never was so happy to hear gurgling!

Subsequently, his camera revealed an unexpectedly difficult situation. Because of several sags in the main line, over the time since the last cleaning (~8yrs), an astounding amount of grease had accumulated in the line, on top of two serious root incursions. So, while we were happy to have our plumbing system working again, things looked ominous. Thus, we scheduled RAVE to do a hydro-jet cleaning for this morning.

Day #1 total for about 3 hours of hard work (including two difficult power snakings and a toilet reset) was $750. Finally, Bryan was fastidious in his cleanup, which I greatly appreciated. He left around 7pm.

DAY #2

This morning supervisor John, Bryan, and Dario showed up at 9am (exactly on time) with the hydo-jet rig. As before, it was a bit of a difficult slog because of the solidified grease on the line (especially near the kitchen). They had to insert and withdraw the jet (@2000psi) several times to clear and retrieve the indurated material, progressively clearing the line. In the end, we had a totally clear, smooth PVC main line pipe on camera. About 60ft way, however, just uphill from the main sewer cleanout, they imaged the remains of two major root incursions, on either end of an ancient (60yrs+) section of clay pipe. Nevertheless, we now, despite a few remaining roots, have a fully functioning cleaned plumbing system.

Day #2: $500 (previously agreed price) for about 2.5hrs work for two men (Bryan and Dario; supervisor John left after things got underway). The two, again, were fastidious in their cleanup of a messy job. Much appreciated.

Epilogue: Though we have a working clean system, if we don't correct the major root incursions, the clogs will recur. One solution is to trench both sides of the ancient clay pipe section, insert a plastic liner and seal the joints at both ends. This will cost thousands and will require breaking surface concrete, but will hopefully be a quasi-permanent solution. Alternatively, we can let it continue the way it is, anticipating the next hydro-clean and snaking session. If we decide on the trenching solution (highly likely), I will call RAVE to do the work--I liked their attitude and professionalism.

Conclusion: competent and careful work, pleasant courteous friendly technicians and boss, quick response and efficient work, standard pricing and accurate estimate, excelkent cleanup, clear step-by-step explanations.

My water heater broke down and Juan from Rave came to check out it. After recommending we fix it instead of replacing, he called the manufacturer and found out what part I needed to order. The manufacturer insisted that one of their own plumbers install the part. Despite all the time and effort Juan had already put into the job, he passed it off to the manufacturer's plumber and didn't ask us for a penny. He's incredibly knowledgable, kind, and generous and he'll be my first call if something breaks down in the future.

They were pretty pricey but got the job done and quick too. It was a fairly simple job but they gave us a warranty so it was worth is for us. But again, it's on the $$$$$ side.

Basically, our shower wouldn't turn off so we needed a quick fix. They came by in 15 minutes and fixed it in 15 minutes. Also very friendly.

The plumber, Dario, did the job well and was very friendly and polite. But the price did not seem like a good value. The job was fixing the stoppers on three bathroom sinks. The price was a set price, not based on time. The plumber said it would be $250 per sink for labor plus parts. He estimated the entire job would take 3 hours, which it did. We didn't want to get a second estimate as Rave had done earlier work for us that was excellent. We didn't want to take the time to start over. So, reluctantly, we agreed to the price even though it was at $250/hr.

At this price, we expected a superlative job, which it wasn't. So far, the installation seems good, but only after I called attention to one stopper that wasn't working at all. Fortunately, I caught it before the plumber left.

The plumber put on plastic film booties to protect our carpets, but only after I requested it. He said he was vaccinated for Covid. But while we wore masks, he didn't. He took bottles and other things out of the under-sink cabinets and knocked some on their sides, so that one leaked a little. And when I asked that he put the bottles back before leaving, he put the bottles back under one cabinet, but not the other 2. When I asked again, he put the bottles back under another cabinet, but not the 3rd one.

All of these are minor glitches, but considering the high price, we expected better. We will not be hiring Rave again. Even though the work is probably good and the plumber pleasant, this price was high.

The first plumber from another company came was unable to replace the GI Nipple under our kitchen sink. He said that he would have to replace the whole pipe going from the house to the street. It would have cost thousands. When we hired these guys, they were able to get the nipple out and replace it with one that's better than what we found at home depot. We didn't have to replace all the pipes going to the street which helped us save us thousands. These guys are honest, hard working and reliable. You definitely get your money's worth when hiring these guys. We would definitely hire them again.

Pros: responsive, courteous
Cons: quoted for more work than actually performed, plumbers did not have a good understanding of the system, proposed expensive solution instead of doing the most basic check first

I had a gas leak near the back of the guesthouse so I requested quotes from several plumbers here on Yelp. Rave was fast and responsive and came out to my house on-time. The two young gentlemen quoted $125 to dig up the dirt and check for underground line leak, which I thought was fair. After exposing the underground gas line, they performed leak test but found the leak was at an above ground connection and not below ground. They then quoted me $375 to re-seal the joint. I asked why it's so expensive, they said it's because they had to take several things apart and redo at least 5 connections. After I went ahead with the quoted job, they really only redid 2 connection and it wasn't nearly as much work as they described it would be. Worse than that, after they were done with their job they found another leak at a location that was previously checked with no issue. Instead of first checking the connections they've resealed and tightening a few joints, they proposed to replace the entire connection fitting for $350. I told them I don't believe this fitting would be faulty especially it was a new construction less than 2 years old, but they insisted that was the problem so I negotiated the price down to $250 and went ahead with it. While they were out to grab the new part, I looked up the fitting's manufacturer's website and understood how the connections work, then took a couple wrenches and tighten the clamping nut on the fitting. Viola! The leak was no longer present and the gas line was holding pressure. Turned out they loosened a connection while they were tightening the other two. When the plumbers came back with the new part I told them I explained how I fixed the problem and no longer needed the expensive fitting to be replaced. They filled the dirt back and charged me $500 total ($125 for digging + $375 for resealing a couple connections). They were nice and courteous young men, but I felt they didn't have a good understanding of the system and the problem, overcharged for a simple job and proposed expensive solution instead of doing the most basic checks first. I don't feel like I've got the value I've paid for and I would not recommend this plumbing company.

I can't say enough good things about the service that Ron and Chris provided at my mom's house. Not only were they early by 2 hours, but they were able to easily assess two projects and fix one on site. They were so friendly, courteous and helpful and Ron let me watch him so that I could learn a little bit about plumbing around hose bib installation. The reviews on Yelp for this company are understated because of the service they provide and the value that you get for the time that they spend. Please don't hesitate to reach out to Rave plumbing they will take care of you and if they can't they're certainly friendly and courteous which goes a long way these days.

Our kitchen sink was clogged! We were stood up by another vendor who was a no she after we waited 24 hours! Ron and Antoine came out right away and got us going again. I had to replace my old water heater and Dario and Tony came out for the job. I cannot say enough good things about the service I received! They went the extra mile to ensure our safety during and after installation. They tackled every single issue we were having and literally wouldn't rest until everything was completed to our satisfaction!

What a relief! I called Rave after noticing my fridge's water dispenser was slowing to a trickle, sneaking a peak under the sink, and realizing the inline filtration system was years past its expiration. Ron came out quickly, confirmed the system was shot (in fact, it sprung a leak moments after he started examining it), and performed a bypass that completely resolved the issue. He was professional and candid, walking me through his process every step of the way. Not only was the workmanship quality, but honest and affordable, too! I'll definitely be calling Rave for any additional plumbing needs in the future.

These guys were great! They've now done two jobs for us, both the same day within an hour or two.

First was replacing our garbage disposal that died without warning. Second was replacing our water head that died with some warning hahaha. Prices were reasonable and the guys were very kind and patient (I have a ton of gigantic barking dogs who did not make things easy for them).

Came same day and installed our bathroom faucet. Saved us a ton of hassle because another plumber we met with inaccurately said we needed to replace our hot water valve because he couldn't turn it. (That meant turning off water for entire building, having to give days of notice first and paying hundreds more!). Rave just turned the hot water valve firmly and shut it off and did the job! We will definitely use Rave again! Terrific!

After recognizing that we had a main line drain related plumbing problem that needed urgent attention we called Rave. Dario and Chris showed up within 30 minutes. Both young men were polite, considerate and willing to to the job. The drain was cleared and since the house is 73 years old we were advised that the old section of the house still has cast iron pipes. Camera shots of the pipe draining showed all the corrosion . We elected to contract with Dario and Chris of Rave Plumbing to replace all the cast iron pipes.

Juan was very professional and honest. I asked for an estimate on a pipe repair that I thought it was leaking. In turns out after their inspection, it was a roof that was leaking above not the pipe. His guy was nice enough to find out where exactly the leak was coming from. Best of all, he didn't charge me for it. That being said my review is not based on the work quality, but I will definitely be calling this company first for any future plumbing jobs.

Needed to find a local plumber quickly for a hot water heater that would not ignite. I gave Rave Plumbing a call in the late afternoon and was able to get an appointment for the next morning.They showed up between the time promised and were quick and friendly. Luckily it was pretty easy fix where they just needed to give my starter a smack to get it to work properly. They showed me what was wrong, were able to get the hot water heating going, and then were gone.

I'm glad that I found a local plumber located in La Crescenta that I can use for future issues (that is hopefully not often)

After talking to Juan on the phone and letting him know my situation he came right out in 10 min. He figured out what needed to be done and got the blockage cleared.

He also fixed a couple of other issues as well.

I had a minor toilet emergency. Dario Arrived within five minutes of my call. He was extremely helpful professional, and friendly as well. After he was done, and left I got a call saying they charged me too much. They caught it before I did and within 24 hours refunded the difference. I now have them on speed dial. This is not a plumbing review, but more a review that is telling of the quality of service and community that Rave Plumbing showed to me.

I am a local PE teacher and I was looking to get some ABS piping cut length wise for a class activity I have. I called all the major home stores plus several local plumbing companies and none could cut my pipes. Rave responded to my request on the Yelp app and agreed to cut them at minimal cost. They even came to my house, took the pipes, brought them back to their office and dropped them off on my doorstep. At the end of the day, they did not charge a penny and just wanted to help out a local teacher. This means the world to me as a new teacher and when often times, material costs come out of our own pocket. The kindness and service I received should not be questioned from this company. I give my full confidence they will meet your needs and more.

I was quoted $855 by Rave, but after getting quotes from two other plumbing companies, the problem was fixed for less than $100 by another company. My bathtub overflow was loose and leaking, which caused water damage to my ceiling. A representative from Rave told me I needed a new overflow kit, a patch job on my tub for a crack, and a air jet that was leaking needed repair. In fact, my tub was not cracked and air jet was not leaking. A plumber tightened the loose connection and the problem was solved. Beware of this company fabricating plumbing issues that don't exist.

Edit: Technician/owner was polite and professional when he was at my home. He called me after seeing this post stating he disagreed with the review and my perception of the situation. He stated that the problem should have been fixed with a new part and not tightened. He stated that the $855 was only for part and labor for overflow leak and not for other problems (that were in fact not problems at all). He was very upset by my review, but I let him know I wouldn't be removing it. I think it is inappropriate to call a previous client to argue with them about a Yelp review, but maybe it was an attempt to resolve a misunderstanding. Ultimately, I was not happy with the quote I received or the call I received about leaving a Yelp review.

I was surprised in morning by a pretty severe flooding. I called Rave plumbing, Juan sent Dario within an hour, on Memorial day none the less. Dario did a thorough inspection and found a broken sewer pipe. Juan and 2 others came and were able to repair and replace pipe that same day so I could return to work in the hospital during this difficult time.

I've used Rave as my plumber for years now and I've been very pleased with their work. Today though I was sadly disappointed. I called and they responded quickly, the plumber arrived on time and he was respectful and courteous. He came to fix a sink leak. We had a handyman install a new sink and overnight it had leaked. The plumber told me it would cost $325 to fix. I agreed thinking it needed a big overhaul but he fixed it in 5 minutes. He said an old washer was stuck which caused the leak. He didn't do much work but he still charged $325. Maybe that's the going rabut I felt it was excessive and unfortunately I'll be using a different plumber the next time.

These guys are SO GREAT. Our kitchen sink backed up, so I looked on Yelp and found Rave. Juan and Chris got here quicker than I expected, fixed the hell out of our 100-year-old pipes under the sink, replacing what needed it. They were super friendly and helpful, not just to us but to each other as well. You can tell a lot about someone by how they treat others, and these guys worked great together. The whole experience with the sink was so painless that we even had them take a look at another job we were putting off when they finished the sink. And they solved that problem too! Great prices, service, and people. Glad I found them! They can come over any time.

These guys showed up same-day and did a good job. They were polite and clean. I have one beef that made me knock off a star or two: they quoted one price but charged a higher price when the job was done. At the beginning of the service appointment they looked at the issue (clog in the main line of the bathroom) and told me that it would be $150, but $225 if they had to remove the toilet to work the snake from that opening. I said OK. At the end of the job they told me that it was $250 because they pulled the toilet, plus another $25 for a new wax ring for the toilet (they are usually $10 or less at the store), for a total of $275. I don't have a problem with the final bill - two guys worked here for about two hours, and they were working hard. But I have a problem with being told one price and paying another. I thought that we had an honest, handshake arrangement, but I should have gotten a written work order.

I was tailgated this morning by someone driving the Rave Plumbing and Rooter van through the Foothill mountains for about 10 miles out of 14 on a slippery road. There were multiple cars in front of me so it was not as though I could go any faster and nor would I have wanted too. In the short moments where the distance increased between myself and the other vehicles this is when the driver tailgated to put pressure on me to stay as close to the other cars as possible. These were the most dangerous areas of the mountains, which is why the distance increased. It was extraordinary to have someone act in this manner. Regardless, when driving on a winding road around mountains in the rain you should be respectful of the vehicles around you and at the speed they feel safe driving at. Tailgating is a form of intimidation. Do you want someone like this in your home?

This is the response I received: Hi I am the owner of the company. If one of the technicians was driving in a way you don't approve of. What does that have to do with you hurting the status of my plumbing company. All you have to do is call and talk to me, and I would of had a talk with my technician. I know who it is because there's only one Tec that lives over the hill. But I find what you're trying do do as mean and evil and hurtful . Any time you do something out of spitefulness it never a good thing. I hope I day you learn that helping people is always better than hurting people. I would never want someone like you in my home . That's for sure. Happy holidays.

My response to the owner: The person you should be upset with is your technician. Clearly the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Had you apologized and you yourself behaved in the manner in which you're telling me to I would have taken down the review. First, I don't drive to your employees liking, and now I don't complain about it to your liking and so I am now evil and hurtful? Well you and your tech are nothing more than bullies.

Amazing plumbers. We found a slab leak this weekend. Juan came out that morning - diagnosed the problem and worked all weekend to fix the pipe, make sure that the pipe wasn't damaged further upstream and reroute a new pipe. Juan is knowledgable and experienced, has good judgement, attention to detail, takes time to answer questions and shares his reasoning, and is extremely polite and patient. Would use them every time.

It is all too common for plumbers to see a single female and try to rip them off. I am pleased to say for once, this was not case! I wish I had found this company years ago! My water heater was not working properly so I gave them a call. They gave me my estimate for free! I cannot rave about these guys enough. My house is a plumbing nightmare and I've had to fix over half a dozen different issues this year alone. Needless to say I've gotten to know the guys at Rave Plumbing pretty well.

Juan, Ozzy and Dario are wonderful and so efficient and friendly. The service is prompt. I'm never talked to like an idiot because I don't know what some random plumbing term is and they are always patient when explaining the issue or different options to me.

When my main gas line needed to be replaced they came early and stayed late to speed up the process so my family wouldn't be without heat. Not to mention the fact that they saved me $7500 with a better solution than the other options I was given by other companies. Juan and Ozzy went over every inch of exposed plumbing to find every leak possible and found things the gas company and other plumbing companies missed.

I've called on Fourth of July weekend, when everyone else was closed or overpriced, because my sewage pump was backed up and needed to be completely replaced. They called every distributor in the area to find the only one that was open over the holiday so we could get plumbing again without waiting.

I've had to call in the middle of the night because of a HUGE toilet leak and they came prompt and were very quick and efficient.

It's never hard to schedule with them and I've never been dissatisfied or had to have them come back to redo or fix anything.

From swapping a shower head to big jobs I'll never use anyone else.

We recently had our washer/garage sink completely clogged and backed up. This back up led to our kitchen sink quickly backing up as well. Rave Plumbing was the only company out of 4 I called asking for an appointment the next day.

Mr. Ozzy and Nate showed up exactly on our appointment time and were very friendly and enthusiastic. Our problem turned out to be a significant one. After multiple snaking, waterjet and new P-trap installed there was still no luck to fixing the back up.

The waterjet was successful once tried it in a different opening horizontally.

Bottom line, Ozzy and Nate were so helpful, patient and next gave up. They made such that the pipes were clear and the water was draining perfectly.
I'm very happy with Rave Plumbing; their price, effort and compassion to the whole situation.

I will definitely be using them in the future for any plumbing problems!!!

These guys are super friendly and nice so that's a plus, but I think they are careless in their diagnoses and recommendations. Based on our water usage, we knew we had a leak problem so we asked these guys to come out and find it and repair it. They came out quickly, were on time and very courteous, and checked the normal leak prone items like toilets, showers, hoses, etc. but couldn't find anything. They went to the water meter and supposedly saw movement despite main water shut off so they suspected the leak was coming from inside the house. Finally they saw that we had a newly installed shower and told me they are pretty sure it's the pipes inside the walls of the shower that my contractors just completed and asked me to call them back to open up all the walls. One of them also said bad news is we don't know exactly where this micro drip is but good news is that in about a week your whole ceiling or walls will be wet and will show so we'll find out then. Hmm, yes, great news. Of course I freaked out and called my contractor about this, but before I asked them to tear down the walls, I hired a company that specializes in leak detection (Sherlock Leak Detection). The leak detector came out, walked around the house, and within 15 minutes found the culprit -- the outdoors sprinkler valve was making a slight hissing noise, indicating a leak. Okay at this point I felt kind of stupid for missing something so simple, but at the same time Rave Plumbing did the same walkthrough as the detection company but completely missed it. They then just randomly pointed to an issue that was convenient (my contractor's fault) and sent me down that rabbit hole with the contractor. I'm glad I didn't have the contractors open up all the walls based on this hunch!

I also told them about another issue with the house -- there was a humming noise every time we turn on the hot water. They went under the house through the basement and found the pressure regulator and said it has to be replaced. So I reported this to my home warranty company which sent me another plumber, who told me it's not a regulator issue as the regulator looks pretty new and the water pressure looks fine. I still don't know what the issue there is, but as you can see, I got sent down another rabbit hole chasing another misdiagnosis. I would really have preferred that they didn't throw these random ideas out if they weren't sure so I wouldn't spend time (and money) on these non-issues.

The saving grace is that they did not charge me for that consultation, but I guess I would have been more upset had I paid for these misdiagnoses.

Our kitchen sink was backed up and we had a pretty substantial leak in the plumbing. Called RAVE and they said it would take about 30 min for Frank to arrive -- he got here in 15. Very nice guy, assessed the problem and fixed everything in under an hour. Very affordable for good service and quality repairs. I reached out to friends for plumbing recommendations & two friends gave referrals for Rave Plumbing.
I called Rave, got an answer immediately, and had a plumber at my house within two hours of the call.
Of course, my plumbing issue wasn't a small job i was hoping for; it was worst case scenario. I had to update all the old galvanized steel to copper pipes.
Rave started the job that afternoon. I was out of water for one day at the most. The job was complete in a total of four days.
The crew was friendly, clean, and respectful of my schedule. I trusted them to lock up my place when i was not there by the end of the day.
Had a couple hiccups a few days after completion, however, Rave responded to my house to correct the minor issues & now I have the best water temperature and pressure.

Called Rave plumbing at 11pm on a Thursday night with a major clog disabling the entire restroom, the 50 year old toilet did not look like it would take well to being pulled and reset without a major job, these pros got on the roof , ran 90' of snake and cleared the drain , no problem. They were gone by 12:30 am, with a very reasonable emergency charge of 150 added to the bill (which I thought was entirely fair)
I can not stress enough how professional these gentlemen were!

We were looking for someone to help us repair our main sewer line and a friend recommended this company. Let me tell you, these guys truly know their stuff!

Our kitchen sink was backed up and the first plumber our landlord called couldn't fix it. Juan from Rave came in, and the very first thing he did was introduce himself and shake my hand. Ozzie and Gilbert came out, they seemed like nice guys. Checked out the problem, started to their truck to get the power snake, then hit me with the up-sale. For $250-$350 more they would us their jetting device. I declined, they tried snaking the clog from a couple different clean outs. No success. I suggested maybe we needed to use the jetting device after all, but then was told the clean outs readily available were too small, but they could fix me up with a new 3 clean out for $1600. Again I declined, asked what I owed them for the work they had done. They billed me $100, I paid them and they went on their way.
I bought a hand operated snake at Home Depot for $30, ran it down a vent on the roof and down each of the two clean out they used and PRESTO! Toilets flush, showers and sinks drain, birds are singing and life is good again.
I'm not going to bad-mouth these guys as this is one experience, but I couldn't recommend them.

I couldn't ask for anything better. Great service, super friendly and awesome customer service! Sent out a few quote requests and the first one I sent out got back to me quick. Since they were in the neighborhood they ended up stopping by, literally 10 minutes after sending out the quote request through Yelp. Juan and his trainee whom I didn't get his name (shame on me) looked at the valve that needed to be replaced, gave me a price without a second thought I went with it. Really glad I did too, Juan beat every other quote from other places that ended up getting back to me after Juan and his trainee had already finished the job. Called for a plumber today as our laundry drain line was backed up and would over flow into the laundry room every time we did a load of laundry. Rave sent a plumber within the hour to fix it. He called when he was about 20 min away. He was very clean and nice. He fixed the problem right away and pulled out the plastic valve piece that was lodged in the pipe. He even tried to clean out a landscaping drain pipe for us. Since it was too full of mud and rocks he wasn't able to but he also didn't charge for trying. I would definitely call again!

I called out Rave for a rooter job on my mainline. They offered a lower price than competitors but when they came out I pointed out two clean out access points, but they only used one. First problem. Then they said something no plumber I've used in 15 years at this location, when called to deal with roots, that they could not clear the roots decently or warranty their work unless I called them back for power jet clearance of the roots for $1,000. Sure enough, two days later we noticed sewage under our house. Literally a crap job from Rave. I got hold of Century Rooter, who I used 3 years earlier, and they used the same equipment but used both clean out points and cleared out the roots. For less money! I bet I get 2 or 3 years out of this but if you want to someone to up sell you expensive service you don't need, instead of doing a thorough job first, call Rave. If you want a real good plumber, call Century Rooter.

Rave deserves a rave review: professional, prompt, hard working, polite, thorough, clean (they put shoe covers on to walk through our house) - they provide an all around good value. Juan responded quickly to our plea for help in replacing water heater before it imploded. Ozzie and Gilbert arrived on time that afternoon, assessed the situation. Early next day, installed a new tankless heater, explained everything about the new heater. Excellent service...days later, my wife had an unrelated problem assembling the sink fixture in a bathroom. The technician walked me through all the possible issues and explained exactly what issues he tested for. He ultimately determined it may be an issue with the meter and advised me to contact the City. He waited for the City's technician to come by so that they can talk and resolve the matter. Our water heater started leaking this last Saturday morning. We shut off the water to it, and drained it, and started calling around to see if we could get it replaced so we wouldn't have to spend the weekend without hot water. We called a few places and most were booked for the day. Rave sent Ozzy out within a couple hours, as soon as he was finished with the job he was working on nearby. Ozzy replaced our water heater and upgraded the straps, gas line connections and the relief valve line. It wasn't cheap, but these things never are! Replacement was well done and we are happy! I had a blocked main line. They arrived very quickly. The sewer line was cleaned out at a reasonable price, and have not had ant trouble since. They did spend some time on the Up-Sell. They wanted to do a hydro-whatever, and a camera scope of my line for around $1200. I spent more time just getting them to snake my line than the procedure took. It was only after I said Thanks for coming, I'll call someone else, that we agreed on $300 to snake a line. The job was then done quickly, and still no recurrent problems.

I've used Rave Plumbing on more than a few occasions. One of the things that impresses me most about them is their consistency. Consistency to deliver great quality services at a fair price. Now there may be some out there that read this review and say, if their service is so great, why do you have to keep calling them out every few years? Here's why, the house I live in is a very old house. Many, many years ago we had our piping redone. The plumber we used started out great. Friendly and accommodating. Quoted us what we thought was a fair price for the services we agreed upon. Well that experience was a learning lesson. It turned into a nightmare. The plumber was licensed and he started the job but then gave the work to other people. Parolee's and ex drug addicts (the ex was questionable) were now doing the work. There was even a fist fight in front of my house between them over getting paid. To make a long story short they charged us for high quality part and bought substandard materials. (Thanks again Juan for bringing that to our attention.) Unfortunately, we didn't find that out until a few years ago.

Now fast forward to Rave Plumbing...Juan was the first one I had contact with. Have a look at my past reviews for more on him. So yesterday I called Rave and spoke with Juan and ask him to come down for an issue we were having with our bathroom sink. Today, Ozzy show's up. Young guy. Based on my past experience, my red flags went. I trusted Juan, I've seen his work and was very comfortable with him. I talked to Ozzy for a few minutes and he came off as a professional, knowledgeable person. Polite and courteous. He came in, took care of our plumbing issue and left our bathroom floor cleaner than it was. I tried telling him not to worry about the cleaning. His response to me was you shouldn't know that we were here. That's the same thing Juan had said to me the first time he did work for us. That tells me that high standards, great quality of workmanship and professionalism are the foundation of this company. That is so rare now a days. Please thank Ozzy for a great job. The first thing that impressed me about Rave Plumbing was how quickly they responded. When I called I was told someone would be here in an hour and they were, and called to let me know when they were on the way. Ozzie was the plumber who came and he was very pleasant, very courteous and I felt confident he'd do a good job.

The job turned out to be a big one since I live in an older house and the drain pipes under the kitchen sink were completely corroded through. I had started to install a garbage disposal and when I saw what bad shape the pipes were in I knew they'd have to be replaced. I could actually push the side of a pipe with my finger and make a hole through the corrosion.
Ozzie spent several hours and replaced all the drain pipes with ABS pipe. This required breaking through the dry wall and also re-routing the new pipes in order to allow attachment to the garbage disposal.

He was here a few hours and did a terrific job, actually fast for the amount of work required.
When he called me into the kitchen to let me know he was finished, all the old corroded pipe was gone and the entire area was cleaned up.
I couldn't be happier with the work that was done and would recommend Rave and Ozzie one hundred percent.

These guys are great. I called them about a main line stoppage in the morning. The gentleman on the phone gave me an estimated time of arrival of 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM. At 10:20 AM Juan called me and informed me that they were about 10 minutes away. They arrived at 10:30 AM --Early!! Juan and his helper, Qzzie, came in and sized up the problem quickly. They checked for clean outs in the main line, but since we didn't have any, he explained that he would have to go up on the roof and snake the line from the roof vent, and provided me the price. I agreed and they went to work. They had the line cleared quickly, and informed me that the blockage was due to roots in the line. He advised me that the problem would occur again, and suggested installing a clean-out at the front of the house, and he gave me an estimate to install it. Once installed, all future cleanings would cost less, since they would not have to go onto the roof. We plan on doing this in the near future, and we appreciate his advice..

Juan is a very nice person, and he doesn't use any hard sell techniques. Both Juan and Ozzie were clean, polite, and efficient. They didn't leave any mess after the job was finished, as some plumbers unfortunately do. They stand by the price quoted, and there are no surprises. They get an A+ in my book, and I will definitely call them again.

I live in La Crescenta and I called up Rave Plumbing and Rooter because my sink got clogged after my mom dumped a bunch of pozole down the drain. They were able to come over the same day and they showed up right on time. Ozzy and his brother were both super friendly and helpful. I was 'Yelping' looking for a good, honest plumber. Well, I found my forever plumber, Juan at Rave. He is honest, fast and just the greatest guy.

My problem wasn't a huge problem, a hot water leak in the shower but as I'm a senior and on a fixed income I kept putting it off until I couldn't turn the leak off any longer (shame on me) but Juan came out, earlier than expected, which was fine with me and within a half hour or so had my leak fixed, replaced the fitting on the hot and cold and installed a new faucet. If I hadn't been talking so much he probably could have finished even sooner.

And best of all, it was a fair and affordable price.

I would highly recommend Rave Plumbing and Juan to anyone needing a great, reliable plumber. Thank you Juan!

I have been using Rave Plumbing for a couple of years now.. and I had to just chime in and give Juan a review and recommend him to anyone out there looking for plumbing assistance.

I used one of the big name Roto Rooter type companies in the past.. until I realized I was getting completely ripped off. I was paying 2-3 times the price of a local plumber.

I then gave up on my previous plumber when I actually had to help him with the installs!

Couldn't be happier with their service. We had a small issue with our toilet and kitchen sink and I wasn't sure if they'd be willing to work on it. I contacted them via Yelp. Not only did they responded quickly, they were able to come the same afternoon and fixed the issue right away. Juan and Chris were very professional, courteous, helpful, and honest. First of all, they said they were going to call 30 min before coming and they didn't. When they arrived (on time) they snaked the sink, detected dirt and suggested a solution that would cost us $13000 (solution that our contractor charges $3700 for). For a little over one hour work they charged $250. Next time I will call a lawyer to snake my sink: it will be cheaper.

Ozzy and Nathaniel were very professional and on time. They were up front and honest about what the scope of work would entail and the cost. They snaked our drain and realized that there was no way they could get the project done completely without having a hydro jet finish the job. So after discussing the time and cost it would take to finish the job they rescheduled and came back later this afternoon as promised and handled business. I'm very impressed and grateful. One of my outdoor faucets had a tiny leak. As I tried to tighten the handle - hoping to stop the leak - the entire faucet broke off resulting in a high pressure gushing fountain of water shooting into the sky and soaking me along with the corner of the house where the faucet was located. This was by far the worst leak I've ever experienced. I was unable to turn off the main water to my house and I called Rave for emergency help. They arrived on the double - within 10 minutes, turned off the water, and replaced the broken and corroded faucet. Thank you Rave, you saved me from a flooded house and a very expensive water bill.

We are extremely happy with Rave Plumbing and Juan! Plumbing issues are never fun and usually need to handled ASAP. This was exactly the case when our hot water heater broke. After getting the run around from another plumbing option, we randomly saw Juan's ad in a local magazine. So, we decided to give him a call. Since we were local, he was able to come over and give us an estimate within a half hour or so. And he installed our hot water heater the same day! I was panicking and needed to find a plumber fast. I checked Yelp and I contacted this company due to its positive reviews. I just want to say Thank You to the owner for sending the 2 most professional, kind, and talented technicians to my house! Dario and Nate did an amazing job! My water in my kitchen sink would not go down and when I would turn on the garbage disposal, the water would shoot back up. My husband tried to snake the pipe, but it still was clogged.
Dario and Nate truly went above and beyond with their outstanding work. After the initial snaking didn't work, they identified that it was a bigger issue. They really took the time to fix the problem and they spent a lot more time than they originally planned and they didn't charge me a penny more. The price was better than any other plumbing service can offer for the amount of work they did. They don't try to take advantage of you and try to sell you more than what you need. Rave Plumbing comes through again, thanks to Juan. Rave had installed a tankless water heater over a year ago, and there was a leak. Juan responded right away, came over on time, explained that the water was condensation, which happens with cold weather. 10 minutes: He attached a pipe to the heater and cut a hole on the floor of the heater, so the water can drain through. No charge, no more leak. I'm a happy, satisfied customer and highly recommend Rave.

This was one of the best plumbing crews that I have ever used, they are definitely recommended. My mainline was busted and they ran a camera down from the top of my roof. After that they gave me a great price to get it all replaced, they did the job in a matter of a few hours and never saw them slow down. I have called Rave Plumbing 3 times, always for an emergency (why else would you call a plumber?). Juan came out the first 2 times, almost right away. He was so responsive, efficient, helpful and patient...explaining as he went and offering suggestions to prevent such incidents in the future. Just what I needed. On my 3rd call, Ozzie came to help. I had a toilet that ran a lot, and when he took a look he could see that pipe that regulates when to stop and start refilling had broken. He would have to replace the mechanism, which was a little pricey, but the toilet was so old, he thought perhaps I should buy a new one, even more pricey. I explained to him that I was planning to redo my bathroom and hated to spend money fixing something that I was going to replace within months or to start with an emergency buy of a new toilet when I wasn't sure how I was going to want the bathroom to look. He came up with a brilliant idea that was inexpensive, and that has held together for the 3 months or so since he fixed it. I thought he was great. Respectful, efficient, helpful and quick. How lucky I am to have found this company in the first place?

And so, I can now answer my own question why else would you call a plumber? It is time for me to redo my bathroom. And I'm going to start by calling Rave, because I know that they will give me good advice and work with a contractor that they trust to do a good job.

With all these 5-star reviews, I wondered if some of them were faked - but just having called Rave to snake our line, I can say definitively that they aren't. Called on a busy Monday morning; Juan showed up 15 minutes later; snaked the line, which is a sketchy thing to attempt because the outlet is right next to our beehives; finished in 15 minutes; $80, with a smile and a handshake. DONE. Officially 'our plumber'!

I could not be happier right now. After finding sitting sewage water underneath my back deck, I was in a state of pure anxiety. Shortly after my initial call to Rave, I received another courtesy call letting me know that Juan would be there in 10 minutes. Juan was able to find a buried cleanout underneath the deck that had apparently been shredded a few years ago from rototilling for landscaping. He cleaned out the main line in no time and also gave specific instructions on how to extend the cleanout up to ground level and put a cap on it. My partner who has dealt with a lot of plumbers over the years at his house commented that Juan had to be the nicest plumber he'd ever met. Thank you, Juan and team! If I ever have another plumbing issue, I will be sure to give Rave a call.

Ozzie saved us when our sewage blew up on us. Came out on a Saturday night and at least got us functional. (I called foothill plumbing and got a complete attitude on the phone saying he was at a friends wedding and couldn't help me.......ahhhh?? You answered the phone dude, don't be mad at me......anyway, that ruled that company out). They came back on a Sunday (yes, Sunday!) and did all the other work. Very clean and professional job. Was it expensive? Of course it was. Any plumbing seems overpriced to me and I have nothing to compare it too, but, our toilets flush and we never see the waste again. The service was impeccable. On the Monday after, my dryer stopped working so I called them to see if they thought it was related. Juan was out in less than 30 minutes problem solving with me. Figured out the banging made a bunch of lint fall and plug up the vent. We worked together to get it out and no charge (so that wasn't expensive!). Since he was there I told him about some banging our pipes were making and asked if this was the new sewage line pipes. He called Ozzie out and an hour later they had clearly explained that the water heater was the problem. This is the point where I get skeptical and feel like they are playing this female for a fool. I sat on it for another couple weeks while I confirmed the banging was indeed the water heater rattling the pipes, just like Ozzie said. It sounded outrages paying what we did for a new water heater and some new pipes but at this point I trust these young but plumbing savvy guys! They put in the new water heater and not only is there no more banging, our water bill dropped in half! So are they expensive? What plumber isn't. The consistency, urgency, kindness, and hard work they provided was worth it to me (oh, and that my toilet flushes the stuff down doesn't hurt either!).

If you EVER need a plumber this is the company you want to use. Our water heater went out during the night. We called Rave and Juan showed up within 15 minutes. He gave us a quote, we said yes. We also needed a new dryer vent hook up. He crawled under our house, fixed it, came out and said we were so lucky that it hadn't caught fire. I really like this company. They are a local business with people who have direct answers for your questions. I appreciate that I was able to get a flat rate for service instead of having to wait for an estimate or have them come out and then add on service fees. Juan came out and he was able to get to our home in an hour which worked out perfectly for us. He fixed our problem and was finished in less than a half hour. He was able to thoroughly explain what was causing the problem and there wasn't anything that he could have done to make the service any better. Affordable and efficient; I would recommend him to anyone in the area who likes no BS when it comes to their home!

I have used Rave a few times and they've always been unbelievably professional - above and beyond. Yesterday they installed a new copper pipe under my house, and afterwards I had some issues with my water pressure on account of sediments getting into the line. Juan not only talked me through the problem on the phone at 9pm at night, he Facetimed me so he could visually walk me through how to address it. This morning he sent out a couple of his guys first thing to thoroughly fix the problem. They were here for hours and even had to issue a new part, but they did it all free of charge. Just stand-up people all around.

Fantastic service within minutes! This morning I had standing water in my bathtub, sink and my toilets wouldn't flush. Couldn't call until I got home from work, but within 30 minutes Juan from Rave Plumbing was at my door. He accurately diagnosed the issue and cleaned out the roots that were preventing water from draining behind the trap. He was very reassuring, courteous and efficient. After the issue with the bathtub and toilets were solved he went to work on my kitchen sink. After another ten minutes that was fixed too. Juan was super!

Was what I consider fair pricing for after hours, fast, and courteous service (under $300). Would definitely call again for any emergency or routine issues.

Have used Rave Plumbing and Rooter for a number of years now. Always on time with outstanding work. Very fair on price. Juan is a pleasant Gentleman.

Had a main line Blow Out recently. Juan and his men had it dug up very quickly, and repaired it in no time. Covered it up and re-cemented the driveway. We also had a area drain that had become useless over the years, so we had Juan cut the driveway and install a completely new drain system. This was a Big Job, and they had it done in only one day. Outstanding Job !!!

Recently my kitchen sink stopped draining quite suddenly. After a try with a few home remedies of my own, I called Rave Plumbing because I had such good luck when I had needed help with another plumbing problem a few years back. I called at 9:30 AM on a weekday and they were at my house in less than one hour. He found the problem which required more than just some under the sink work. He showed me the work done, cleaned up the work site entirely, was very courteous, quick, polite and very reasonably priced. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat!

When it comes to finding an honest and reliable plumber, I am usually at a loss for words, but with Rave Plumbing, I can now speak. I called Juan, the owner, and he immediately answered and was very helpful. He has someone out to our home that same afternoon. Ozzy and his team arrived as soon as possible and took the time they needed to really access our situation and give the right recommendation. Although they ended up doing way more than we hoped (due to bad and illegal plumbing by the previous owner), I appreciated their integrity of not repairing bad/illegal work and doing what was right to keep our family safe. They rebuild our whole gas line and did it quickly and efficiently. They also snaked all our outside area drains, which is not an easy job. They did it all in one day and did with with true professionalism. They also dealt very well with our crazy, little puppy. Their fee was reasonable and I am so happy with now have a safe gas line. I will definitely use them again in the future and highly recommend them.

A Rave for Rave Plumbing! They did a fantastic job replacing the drain pipes under our house. He was the only one who would give a free estimate which involved crawling under the house. The job was done quicker than he predicted. In the end I was blown away by his professionalism and honesty. During his estimate he had seen a possible problem which would cost a little more and when finished said he was able to work around it. There's no way I would have known that since I don't crawl under there. He also took the time to come to Home Depot with me since I couldn't figure out the right faucet for our sink. Another thing I must point out is his communication is stellar. He always picks up the phone right away. He even called me to tell me they were going to lunch and would be back. Most workers I've dealt with keep you in the dark about everything. Very knowledgable and takes the time to fully explain things. And his prices are reasonable. A little lower than the last plumber I used who never detected that our pipes were cracked and needed replacing. Instead I paid them every couple months to snake the drain and unknowingly destroy the pipes even further. When Juan pulled out the pipes I was shocked at their condition. I wholeheartedly recommend Rave Plumbing. I know how hard it is to find a good, honest plumber. What a great find!

Recently My elderly mother had a slab leak in her home. She is disabled and we were told by the insurance company plumbers that it would take 4 days and she would need to be out of her home for those days. They would have to tear out walls and floors. This was going to be impossible. I met with rave plumbing and they gave me a competitive estimate and they told me that they would leave everything clean and neat after they left each day so that my mother could come home in the evenings and wouldn't need to sleep elsewhere. He said they would rush the job to reduce the disruption. Not only did they finish the job in 2 days (2 of the hottest days of the year), they left the house cleaner and neater than we left it. It was absolutely beautiful. These guys are pros who care. The attention to detail was amazing. These guy went way above and beyond and I highly recommend them to anyone.
