TLDR; the plumbers at Avant don't seem to know what they're doing and will try to up sell you on services you don't need. Also, don't rely on the reviews here because they called me and offered to refund me 50% for the bad experience and take down my review. (This happened to me and I compromised my journalist integrity and removed my review - they never refunded me. Sorry yelp community)

I called Avant Rooter to come out and do a cctv inspection of my sewer line because I had just finished construction so LADBS required a sewer line inspection. I wanted them to come out and do an inspection before I scheduled the inspector to come out in case there were any issues in my sewer. They were quick to respond and scheduled someone to come out. The first plumber wasn't able to get the camera through to the main sewer line and told me it was due to a blockage and so they had to hydro jet the pipes, so I agreed to this service and paid them for it. The plumber then came out again to run the camera and still couldn't get the camera through and said it was because there might be a crack in the main sewer line which is why the camera is going into the ground instead of through the pipes. This time he tried charging me $397/hr to go digging around my foundation to look for where the issue was which is absolutely insane!
Eventually I called another local plumber to come out. He was able to get the camera through using a string to pull the camera through the area in the pipes where there was a crack. They were able to tell me where I had a crack in my main sewer line instead of digging up everything. I was then able to contact my contractor and get the main line repaired.
I called Avant to come out again to run the CCTV camera along with the inspector because I had already paid Avant for the CCTV inspection that was never completed. The inspector and Avant both arrived to do the inspection and THEY STILL COULDN'T GET THE CCTV camera through! So I had to call and reschedule with the inspector, get my contractor to dig up the sewer line, and then Avant was able to get their camera through and finally we completed the inspection.
All in all, thanks to my local plumber and my contractor I was able to pass inspection. Avant provided the cctv camera.

Late Thursday night, my wife tells me that the toilets and bath were backing up. I figured we had some roots in the main line since it had happened 3 years before, but I had to work the next day and was busy all weekend with commitments and knew that I would not be able to fix it myself. Early Friday morning I called All Service Plumbing and asked if they could come out and fix the issue. They quoted $99 but I told them I did not have a clean out and they would have to pull the toilet, so the price went up to $225 - Fair enough. I booked an appointment for between 12 and 2pm and they showed up on time and got to work clearing the line. My wife was the one at home and she stated they they were there for a few hours and did pull out some roots.
I got home late Friday night after picking up my daughter and she jumps in the shower and everything backs up. I call All Service Plumbing and tell them that the line has not been cleared and they told me they the only way to clear it would be to install a clean out. Quoted price of $1600. WTF!! I could put a clean out in in a couple hours for $150. My main line is 24 inches down and covered by some dirt and grass. Dig, cut and install, not that difficult. We are not talking about bringing a backhoe in and digging up an entire yard.
I am super annoyed at this point, because now it is late on a Friday night of a busy weekend and my family can't take showers, flush the toilets, do laundry, wash dishes etc...
I had previous engagement on Saturday that I could not reschedule and had to cancel 2 other engagements on Sunday so I could deal with the plumbing issue. I could have called another plumbing company, but now i'm dealing with weekend rates and even more money for rush service and to be honest, I didn't know if I could trust another company. Sunday morning I wake up and go to Home Depot to rent a main line snake with a 100 foot cable. I pull the toilet and fill the line up with water till it was backed up all the way, I run the snake into the line with a cutter bit on the end and in less than an hour from start to finish all the backed up water flows out and the line is cleared.
I am happy that the line is cleared and I will install the clean out to make it easier next time, but I am super annoyed that my wife, three daughters and I had to deal with this all weekend and that I had to rearrange my schedule in order to finish the job myself.
Some positive points were that they showed up on time, left the bathroom clean when they left and only charged $100 instead of the $225 since they could not get it cleared. The bad part is that they are the plumbing company and should have been able to clear the line. It was obviously possible to clean out the mainline without installing a clean out for $1,600 since the line is now running clean.

Lifesaver.
His name is James and he actually is a Canadian, that part is not a gimmick. He is super nice and super handy. Also super cute. Basically, he's an all-around-super-Canadian.
Canadian Handyman James has the know-how, and more importantly owns the actual tools you will need to implement all the fixes. But literally!!!
I needed a metal fix in my house, and before I found James I had called another handyman, a plumber, 2 hardware stores, even a car body shop - they all knew how to fix it, but not one had the actual tool - not even the hardware store!! And then along comes sweet baby James... with the tool in hand! And it took him like four minutes to fix. This guy was in and out, and he completely saved the day. He was fast, super nice, and super competent!!

Called to get hose bib fixed. Wanted me to text a photo to the number I called. I did. Hour later nothing so I called back. Apparently he forgot to give me the right number. Got the new number and texted photo. An hour later got a text back asking who I was. So I had to call back a third time. By that point the manager had gone home so they would get me a quote the next day mind you my water is off and all I'm needing repair it is a hose bib. Anyhow never got the quote but that's fine at that point I'm not sure I would use them I'm not gonna call back a fourth time. Called another plumber had it repaired you could read my five star review and know who to pick.

Mauricio and William just finished a kitchen faucet install at my home. I'm very impressed with their workmanship and would recommend this company for similar plumbing services. They call ahead to let you know when they'll arrive and they arrive on time. It was the same way when Mauricio came out to provide an estimate for the job. I'm so happy to have a functioning faucet again without worrying about leaks! Thank you both for your excellent work and fair pricing for the job!

My husband and I had a dreaded hot water slab leak and had already gone through two plumbing companies who were not giving us a straight answer on what was necessary to repair. We called Right Price Rooter and Plumbing, and not only did Mick answer our call right away, he was at our house within an hour and provided us with a game plan and a price within 20 minutes after hearing our concerns. The job was completed 2 days later (on a Sunday to accommodate us) and the plumber was extremely polite, efficient and trustworthy. Once again, Yelp has come to the rescue. Customer service goes a very long way, and these guys absolutely understand and deliver outstanding customer service and reliability.
Thank you, Mick and Juan, for helping us through this plumbing issue!

I've now been working with Albert for over two years hiring him for a variety of services.
I had a bad plumbing job done by one of the main companies that services the valley and thankfully Albert was able to fix everything and make it much better than before!
First I was going through a remodel.
Albert has worked on replacing shower valve, drains, water lines, installing a gas line for a dryer, installing washer/dryer hookups.
He now services our entire HOA for a property of 12 units. He's always on time reliable and gets work done in a timely manner. More importantly his pricing is always fair.
We've had a handful of emergency leaks in our building and he's always super reliable and honest about the job.
We had one emergency where a Unit was unoccupied and was leaking outside the apartment super late at night. Albert was on the scene right away to address any issues and stayed late to finish the job.
He also noticed a few other poor drains in the building that needed work and has now replaced every drain line in our building!
So many of our neighbors have used him and appreciate his services his team is very nice and honest.
If you want to support a small family business support his work! You won't regret it!

My positive experience at Sewerman started immediately when Harry picked up on the first ring and said he could come out that very same day. He diagnosed the problem quickly and explained completely what was wrong and what needed to be done. Even though it was an expensive repair (roots in my main sewer line and a significant backup), Harry exuded confidence and made me feel I was in very good hands. He started the next day, was on time, treated the worksite carefully as not to damage anything and worked quickly and efficiently. What impressed me was Harry's deep knowledge, experience and how he explained the process every step of the way. He called us out to look at progress throughout and explained what we were seeing and what he was doing. When completed, he left the site in perfect condition. His staff were also so professional. I feel like we have found a wonderful new plumber! I recommend very highly!

Teddy actually saved me money by replacing parts of the bath doors and sliding doors instead of all of the doors. I needed the same day service and he was able to come same day. He is reliable and responsible. I will use him in the future.

I was looking for a plumber who could come by in a rush and I was having a hard time finding one.
Then I called Jay. He promised to fit me in same day, but when I expressed that it was an emergency, he came within the hour.
He's super professional, very knowledgable. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Very open and trustworthy. Would call them again in a heartbeat.
Highly recommended. Give him a call!

After booking an appointment a day out for a clogged kitchen sink. The technician did not show up for the 1-3pm window. I reached out twice to see what was happening, with no word back. Had to book another plumber last minute, who showed up within a few hours. I am only giving 2 stars because I can't give 1.5. Also the tech was apologetic when he finally got back at 6pm, giving a story about being busy, etc... Bottom line, regardless of what's happening, a quick text or call to update would have saved a customer and bad review. Lesson learned I hope.
