Stop reading and just hire David. We needed someone to deal with root intrusion into our sewer line. I reached out to more than 6 companies. David has the best price by far. Aside from pricing, David has excellent communication. He let me know well in advance about anything that might affect his arrival time. He also performed high quality work, installing a new two way sewer clean out. I will absolutely hire David again for any future work required.

This company treats customers as friends: real people with real needs. We cannot say enough about the professionalism and compassion that Jeremiah, Tyler, and Eero consistently lead with. Their rates are reasonable and they are reliable, responsive, honest, sincere, and easy to work with. Best plumbing business I have ever encountered!

This is my first ever Yelp review and I decided to write my honest review for After Hour Services.

My kitchen sink has been stuck for more than 12 hrs. I tried different methods for 5 hrs but still couldn't get it resolved.

After Hours Services exceeded my expectations in many ways-

Responsive: Will replied my request for quote under 10 mins, and replied my text and call fairly quickly.

Professional: Will got things done in under 30 mins. In addition, Will was very thorough in examining andexplaining the issue. What I love the most is that he cleaned up the area after the issue was fixed.

Transparent pricing: he's honest and it's a flat fee and very reasonable price. I got different quotes and his is the most transparent.

On-time: he was on time, which is a very big factor for me.

Overall, I recommend Will and After Hour Services, with passion.

I called Jerry when I needed my hot water heater replaced.  He was able to come over the next day.  Not only did he provide an estimate in line with what other were able to give over the phone, he did the work the same day.  On top of the worked promised in the quote, repaired some shoddy work done by the orginial builders.  I felt like Jerry was a partner rather than someone trying to cheat me out of money.

Had a minor leak that was the side-effect of a home repair job I did - non-damaging, non-urgent, but something I wasn't sure I wanted to handle myself. Found Jeff via reviews here on Yelp and called him Friday. He was here on Monday, fixed the problem quickly and even took a bit of time to spot-check the work I'd done and add a little extra fit-and-finish. And he even managed to do it without making me feel I'd botched it. :)

Top notch work, great manner. Hopefully I don't have plumbing issues in the future but if I do - I'll be calling Jeff back.

Last night the cold water faucet decided it was the right time to refuse shut off. I came to Yelp to look for a local plumber, as I prefer a small and local when I have the choice.
Jay returned my call within 20 minutes, and offered to walk me through what he thought the problem might be. I told him I would rather he stop by since I have very little handygirl capacity. He was at my house within a few hours, as promised. Jay diagnosed the problem in minutes and showed me the parts I would need and how to fix it myself. In addition to being really nice and helpful, he didn't charge me a dime for his time. I found the parts and fixed it easily, which I would never have been able to do without his help.
I would definitely recommend Jay to my friends and neighbors. I will absolutely call Jay next time I have plumbing issues.

I was planning a minor kitchen remodel and Ben came over before to extend the water line to where the fridge would go in the new configuration. He was on time and on budget even though he ran into some issues with the original plumbing. He also cleaned up after himself which I can't say for other contractors I've used.

We had a gas leak in our house and despite being extremely busy, Dave came out and fix our leak that morning!

I love this company and its technician, Mr. Cervantes. I really feel badly for not writing this review earlier.

I was assigned a project at work and called four different companies to come out and give us a bid on a broken water main at our business.  DC was the most thorough, straightforward and professional of the bunch.

DC's technician, Mr. Cervantes was a real expert and he was punctual, polite and very thorough. He even came out a 2nd time (prior to submitting the bid), to photograph our water main and pipes. My boss told me how impressed he was with Mr. Cervantes' service and demeanor.

I felt so bad not getting approval from our landlord (King County), on this project for over two months. Can't wait for DC Plumbing and Mr. Cervantes to start the work and provide us with water again in our industrial yard.

Jon is top notch!  He's trustworthy, quick to respond, schedule time and efficiently replace all plumbing in my old, but newly remodeled home.  In addition to getting the work done, he provided great advice and suggestions.  He's very knowledgable and his consultative nature helped us get the best quality products and service, for which we otherwise had not known.  I was also highly impressed with his suggestion to replace the in-line, which was in dire need.  He did a trenchless water line replacement and a repipe, super quick and effective without any holes dug in my yard.  Jon is now my #1 go to guy for any and all future plumbing work.  Clearly, I highly recommend him to anyone for any job.

First-time clueless home-buyer here!! 150% satisfied. I wasn't made to feel dumb, though I asked a thousand questions. He was on time (early even!) performed a sewer inspection efficiently and even when he couldn't get through the pipe, he worked very hard to navigate the block, and eventually made it all the way out to the the main sewer line. Afterwards, he walked me through exactly what he saw, used very effective metaphors to be sure I understood what he was telling me and was incredibly professional and pleasant. Reasonable recommendations, asked me to call him anytime with questions/clarifications and I was VERY comfortable with him all around. Will definitely recommend this company to everyone, especially if you are like I was, scrolling aimlessly through YELP praying you don't make a mistake. No mistakes here. And they provide a video. Awesome!

My water heater broke and flooded the garage the night before Thanksgiving. I called and got many quotes. Vortex gave me a call back right away. They had the best price and they had the availability to come out on Thanksgiving morning. They didn't charge me extra for the holiday. They did a professional job. The new water heater was installed well and works great.

Fantastic plumber he found the problem and fixed in less time than I thought possible.  Without a doubt the best plumber I have ever used.  Never a problem after his work (used him twice for two separate issues) I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing plumbing work.

Sam is really great. I had an underground downspout get clogged. Sam was able to come on the same day during a big rain and got it fixed. He also explained to me what is the root cause and showed me other tips for how to maintain all the pipelines I have. Highly recommended!

Major toilet blockage called in at 1:30. Problem fixed by 3:30. Incredibly helpful people.

I cannot even begin to say how AMAZING Tech City Plumbing is, and especially Tim! This is our second time using Tim. Originally we were referred to Elvis (great customer service) who referred us to Tim because of availability. Number ONE: they are so honest!! Let's get to the point, no one wants to pay more than they need to. Tim was honest, and told us what we needed to repair but also told us things that didn't need to be done. He looked out for us. Number two: he responded to our request (arrived at our house) within 24 hours, both times! One of the visits we actually didn't have a problem, he showed us and didn't charge us. Who does that these days? I figured he would charge us a big fee for coming out, and instead told us that he values our business?!?! Where do you see that these days? I don't. The point is: when you hire a plumber, you look for integrity, honesty and a strong work ethic. Tim has all these. I would trust him with any plumbing job, big or small. I will be telling all of my friends and family about him. Look no further, go with Tech City and ask for Tim! Know that your money is going in the right place.

Like many people have noted, the firm's prices are simply outrageous.  I know now (after talking to another plumber, and doing a little research) that I got totally ripped off.  I got charged $1,550 for what was, at most, an $850 plumbing job.  I am really furious with myself for not doing my due diligence and getting multiple quotes before authorizing the work to be done.  I really think I was so shocked by the high price I was quoted, and desperate to get the job done, that I took temporary leave of my senses.  This  was a case of disaster capitalism writ small.  An unethical firm took advantage of someone in need.  Shame on them.  

I called the company the next morning (after recovering from the shock of the expense, and realizing that there was NO WAY it should have cost as much as I got charged) and asked to speak to a manager due to being overcharged.  The manager must be super busy fending off other complaints, because it's been 48 hours since I spoke to the dispatcher and gave my contact info,  and I still haven't gotten a call back.  Funny how they are so great about responding when you need a plumber, but when you have a complaint you don't get a call back from the management.

I've filed a dispute with my credit card company, and although I'm not optimistic I'll get the price down to a reasonable level, at least they will have to work a little harder to get paid.  

Please, please, please, if you do call this firm (which I don't recommend, unless you like paying 2X more than you should), don't authorize any work to be done until you get at least one other estimate.
