WSSD is fully licensed, insured, & bonded and can repair or replace any plumbing or drain system in or outside your home. West Seattle Sewer and Drain specializes in anything plumbing related. We have many specialties including Water Heaters, Sump Pumps, and/or Toilets. We are fully licensed to work on Faucets, Sinks, and garbage disposals. Bathtubs & Showers faucets are another specialty we can help with! Many of the Seattle Area homes are old and we can tackle any whole house repipe. We have specialists who can assist with any Boiler, Hydronic, Radiant or Tankless Repairs. On the sewer and drain side, we can tackle any Sewer Repair or Replacement. We can install trench-less sewers or we are happy to just do a drain cleaning or camera inspection. Water line replacements can also be done trench-less and we're happy to assist with this as well!
HISTORY
Established in 1980.
The owners of West Seattle Sewer and Drain are Ben and Melissa and their passion is owning a business where they can help take care of the community. WSSD started as a small local West Seattle Company. As time went on and demands grew, WSSD began hiring additional licensed plumbers from Snohomish to Everett and the East Side. Now we are able to service all 3 counties around the Seattle area.
ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
Melissa was born and raised in West Seattle and grew up in the plumbing industry. Melissa's father, brother, and husband are all licensed plumbers and Melissa used to be a plumber apprentice herself. Melissa has been involved in the plumbing industry her whole life. Melissa's mission to her community is to find a solution that fits your budget and eliminates the problem.
Ben was born and raised in Southern California. He moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. Ben is committed to training his plumbers and apprentices in presenting all the options available. It is his promise to only offer you what he would offer his own family and to never pressure you into buying something that you do not need.

It was easy to set up an appointment: they have someone answering the phone instead of making you leave a message.
He came over to install a p-trap under the kitchen sink. The space was tight in there, but he figured out a way to connect all the pieces without taking too much apart, and without cutting open more of the cabinet. He was very friendly and professional too. Recommended if you're in West Seattle!
I had a really positive experience with Bill and Diane at West Seattle Sewer & Drain. Scheduling with Diane was pleasant and easy, and Bill arrived on time and diagnosed my kitchen sink leak in a matter of minutes and fixed it quickly. Pricing was more than fair, and not that I ever WANT to have to call a plumber again, but am happy to have a new go-to when I do!

Bill Sauter from West Seattle Sewer & Drain is Fast, Professional & Knowledgeable.
When I say fast, I mean this guy can hustle! He planned and executed something in less than 30 minutes that I couldn't have figured out with 30 YouTubes. Bill, you are my hero. Setting up the appointment with Diane was a breeze; they were flexible and accommodating. Rates were more than reasonable - cash or check. I wanted to use my CC, but the positive experience far outweighed that want.
Feel very fortunate to have found this wonderful company and will be calling WSSD for all my plumbing needs.
Bill is a great guy that happens to be a plumber. He has done about $10k worth of work for me at my facility in West Seattle. From the big jobs to the small ones I know I can count on him.
We had a busted sewer line and Bill was knee deep in poo and he still had a great attitude and he knew exactly what to do. I was throwing up behind the bulldozer thing because the smell was so bad. It was terrible.
I trust him to do all my work and I highly recommend him if you're in deep poo.

Found the via community reference, and Bill is AWESOME!!
He came over on initial visit, diagnosed the problem, came back 3 days later (when we had someone at home) and knocked out the problem, fixed the issues, and was a pleasure to interact with. Both he and the lady who schedules his time were professional and a real breath of fresh air!!!!

Great service! Friendly, quick & old school West Seattle. Price was beyond fair! Nice to now have a guy for that! Replaced our corroded kitchen drain line & we are very happy!

Bill is a GREAT guy and a GREAT Plumber !!!
I called with an emergency job - our kitchen sink was plugged up.
Even though he is super busy he managed to squeeze us in and took care of the problem the same day.
VERY REASONABLE .... VERY PERSONABLE .... I highly recommend Bill !!!
Very highly recommended. Bill was recommended by a well reviewed appliance repair company I've also used, and I would recommend to anyone in his service area. His office let me know an hour in advance that he was running slightly behind for our 9am appointment. He did great work on 2 items, very efficient and fairly priced. Some companies are hit and miss depending on who you get, but as a sole proprietorship you can rely on Bill showing up himself and doing a great job at a fair price.
May be okay, but West Seattle Sewer offers no warranty on their work. We recently purchased a home in West Seattle. Three days before closing the sellers had Bill repair the water line between the meter and the house. When I called Bill to ask about his work and whether he stood behind it, he went into a dumb repetition of variants on The city inspected the work, that's your warranty.
When we got a copy of the invoice, sure enough it noted that there is no warranty on the materials used or the work performed.
If we ever need a plumber, I'm calling someone else.
Diane was so helpful on the phone that I was able to solve my problem without a plumber. Thank you!
We had a deep clog in our washer drain. West Seattle sewer and drain was recommended by friends and I had met him before by chance... Bells went off ... I Liked this man when I met him. [ Bill ]
I called , spoke with Diane and made an appointment. he was on time fixed the problem and I can catch up on laundry.
I agree with whoever said he's honest to a fault . I won't hesitate to call him if I need a plumber again.

I was referred to WS Sewer & Drain by a friend and I could not be more impressed with Bill and Judy. They were so helpful. I didn't need immediate assistance so was able to schedule and get Bill over for an appointment and then a second appointment once all my parts came in without issue. Bill was fast, courteous and knowledgable.
I was so happy with the service, the results and the cost.

Quick response to phone message, and friendly service. Rates are very good. Solved our blocked drain problem in about 30 minutes. Will defineatly use them again. I've asked Bill to come over around 5 or 6 times and he also worked for a friend of mine. Always on time, figures out what needs to be done on existing construction (replacing a kitchen faucet today), works fast, keeps things clean, and never a need to call back. Never has needed to go fetch a part because his truck is completely stocked and organized. Very reasonable price (I pay before he leaves the house). It doesn't get any better.

Best plumber ever! Was quick and less than his competition. Charged $1,000 less than the closest estimate when a pipe under our slab busted. Installed a dishwasher and toilet for us as well and did an excellent job. Honest to a fault. I'll never use another plumber.
