Declined to honor their original estimate and then never got around to providing an updated estimate as promised. Save your time and look elsewhere.

A&T provided a ~$4K estimate to repair a drain line in late Dec. 2020. Told them I was not ready to do the project yet, and was told just let them know when I was. Estimate explicitly states Expires Never.

When I was ready to do the project early Jan. 2022, I clicked the Approve Estimate link in their original email. Later that day I received an email stating I approved a bid that is no longer valid due to material price increases from the storm and economy.  Pointed out the estimate Never expires but that didn't mean anything to them. Blaming material increases for a drain line replacement is lame as the project entails only a few sticks of PVC.

Wasn't ready to give up on A&T yet. They said they'd send someone back out the next day to look at the project and provide a new estimate. Never received a new estimate. We had ~20 emails back and forth in which I asked for for updates on the new estimate. No avail.  

I contacted A&T for my project because of the stellar reviews. My experience was anything but stellar.

Disappointed.  :(

Dave came out quickly and solved the problem (in the short term), but he was more expensive than expected and I don't think he stood behind his service from a month and half ago...

Dave originally came out and pumped out the backed up water and used a motorized snake to clean out the kitchen sink pipes.  He mentioned that it was about 4 years worth of gunk in there (which lines up with the time we had our kitchen remodeled).  When it was all said and done, just under an hour, the charge was $180.  I thought, WOW! That's alot!, but declined to say anything because I had never called a plumber out to the house before and thought maybe these were the normal going rates.  When I told my co-workers and friends what I paid they all scoffed at me and said I was very overcharged for this service.  I chalked it up to  a lesson learned.

Well, just this week my kitchen sink backed up again.  I called Henderson Plumbing again thinking surely he did not fix it right the first time, otherwise why would it be backed up again in such a short time?.  Surely he won't charge me for a complete service call since he was just out here less than 2 months ago.  

Dave showed up and pumped the water out and used the snake again and completed the job in 30 minutes.  Unfortunately, I was on a conference call with work, so I could not chat with him when he pulled out the bill...another $179.80!!!!  I had to write out the check and grin and bear it.  I've shelled out $400 for my kitchen sink in the last 2 months!!  BTW- I live alone and work a lot.  I cook maybe twice a week and I have a grease jar that I pour my grease into.  Seriously, how could that lead to another full service call in such a short time? Frustrating and disappointing....

Pros:  Speedy response.
Cons:  Pricey and may not fix the problem right the first time

Lightning quick response and he fixed my leaky garbage disposal in no time. I will definitely use Abel in the future.

Super fast response and Braulio was one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable plumbers I have had the pleasure of watching. I had a broken water main in my front yard. Standard Plumbing was cheaper than the three the other plumbers I got quotes from. Call them without hesitation for any thing plumbing related!  Can't recommend them more.

We first met Jaime about 8 years ago when he was hired by our contractor to do the plumbing for a new addition on our central Austin home.  He did all the work for a new master bath, added a tankless water heater and removed old cast iron plumbing from our 1940s home.  Two years later he came back to reroute the plumbing in our guest bath.  He did great work with both jobs and we never had any issues while we lived there.

In 2019, I referred him to a friend who was experiencing a plumbing emergency at his rental.  My friend was super impressed with Jaime's responsiveness and work and was incredibly thankful to have found an honest, trustworthy plumber to help out during an incredibly stressful time.

And in February 2021, we had a pipe break in our new home after the major freeze.  We were panicked that we wouldn't be able to get it fixed timely since it seemed like everyone else in Austin was dealing with the same issue, but Jaime came to the rescue the next day and fixed the busted pipe.

In the 8 years we have called on Jaime, every single experience was top notch. I don't know what I appreciate the most about him: his professionalism, the prompt communication, the excellent work or how wonderfully nice and pleasant he is. The fact that we have been able to call on him to work on every single home we have owned in Austin really speaks volumes about the quality of his business and his work.  Thank you, Jaime, for always being there for us when we need you. You are the best!!!

I had an emergency and Jim was responsive and fair. I had to choose the earliest available plumber and so did not get to use his services but I would not hesitate to call him again in the future. Please contact him if you have plumbing needs, he will respond and give you fair pricing.

I've been doing business with Chris Strand since 1988. When Strand Brothers was sold to Service Experts, I went looking for him. He is passionate about helping customers save money on energy bills, and finding creative ways to reduce heating and cooling bills while keeping you comfortable. He helped me install two systems in my house (13 years apart), and we made adjustments for the length of time I spend at home and the load on the AC unit as a result.

I currently use Stan's for annual checkups on my heat and AC to avoid any problems that might be lurking in the background. They are prompt, have never overcharged me, and have not attempted to sell me anything I didn't need. I'd recommend their services to anyone.

And if you don't have a good experience, call them up and talk to Chris. He is interested in making things right for the customer (and he wants to know from YOU if things went wrong).

I told them before they came that I had a water leak. Technician came without any water leak investigation equipment.
He blindly dug in my front yard and was unable to find the leak. Charged me $400 for that, knocked off $100 when he couldn't find it. Then Said his boss had sonar equipment but would charge another $895 to bring it. I obviously declined bc thats absurd to charge almost $1200-$1300 just to find a water leak on my property.

I ended paying just $150 for another company (who had more experience) to find where my water pipe leak was and didnt want to charge a crazy $1300 just to find the leak in the first place (without actually even fixing anything yet).

I needed to have some plumbing work done, they were very quick,  polite and affordable. I even tried to tip but they wouldn't take it. I highly recommend plumb and order.

After several months, I wanna finally write my review.

I needed a shower valve soldered in.  I called a bunch of other companies (some never returned my phone calls. Guess they already got enough business). Many of them quoted me $200 - $400 just for the solder (the wall was already open).

Thunderbird Plumbing charged me less than $200 do to the job.  They worked with my work schedule and Raymond called to confirm the appointment.  He did an excellent job, even took the time to explain how to correctly measure and cut the tub spout after finishing my tile job (which I did myself).  

I highly recommend Thunderbird Plumbing when it comes to quality, cost and courtesy.

My kitchen faucet was broken and flooded my kitchen and part of my living room!

I received a quick response to my quote request and was able to schedule and appointment for the next day.

The work was done quickly and the area was left clean.  Highly recommended!

When I discovered my hot water heater was having problems I turned to yelp to find a plumber and I'm so glad I did. I agree with all of the previous reviews and would highly recommend Union Jack Plumbing. Nick got back to me quickly, was friendly, on time, reasonably priced and was very knowledgable about all things plumbing.

Excellent!  Ben came out on short notice and corrected some leaks after a DIY install of a water heater.  Price was very reasonable.  I will definitely use O&M for future plumbing repairs.

Austin Plumbing is awesome, and I strongly recommend them for any plumbing needs. After previous installation of the whole house water treatment system, we have an issue of low pressure to our irrigation.  Chesley/Codi came back and worked hard to pinpoint the issue and fixed it up! Excellent response time, very knowledgeable and willing to explain his thought process. Pricing was very reasonable, especially considering how quickly and professionally he addressed issue (was on location within 24 hours of request, and repair was completed immediately).

I needed a p-trap and studor vent installed (older house that did not have a p-trap on washing machine drain). My main concern was there was a leaking running trap. Multiple other larger companies said they could do job, just to waste my time by scheduling a 4-6 hour window, waiting until end of window, and either coming out and telling me they wouldn't install a studor vent or just calling and telling me they couldn't do it (after I sent very specific diagrams and instructions of what I needed and their dispatch told me that they did indeed provide those services). Had one even tell me it would cost $12,850 to remove the running trap and install p-trap, excluding all repair work. When I told that company's plumber that called me that I was not certain I did have a running trap, he told me it would be $499 just to run camera to check. This was at 6:40pm when I was given a 2pm-6pm window, so he obviously just did not want to work. Geronimo responded and repaired by 6pm the next day - only charged a nominal fee to run the camera, confirming that I did NOT have a running trap, and I had zero question or issue with the labor and material charges he quoted, especially considering all the work was done after 5pm, and all charges were exactly as quoted.

Have his number saved for all future plumbing issues, highly recommend. It is very hard to come by an honest, responsive, and reasonably priced plumber - this is one of those diamonds in the rough, and it is also great to support a small local business.

Diego did some work for us at the new Voodoo Doughnuts in Austin.  Great communication and followup.  He is now on our speed dial and is our Go To Guy for any work we need done!  Thanks Diego, we very much appreciate the great service.

Very responsive with a flexible and available schedule. Great work, great service. I was very impressed. I would recommend to others.

They were able to make room in their schedule for me very quickly and were even kind enough to call and see if I wanted them to come sooner (I did) when someone else cancelled. They quickly identified that the leak was actually a backed up drain pipe from me A/C. They cleared the pipe for me, helped me fix it so that it wouldn't happen again, kindly pointed out that I needed to clean out my dryer vent soon, and vacuumed out all the water that had accumulated. They were very punctual and professional. They're one of a very few businesses that I have saved into my phone to contact again in the future if I have problems. I highly recommend them!
