Upon finding out that the evaporator coil in my A/C system was leaking considerably, I was faced with two choices.  Either replace the existing coil with the current refrigerant (R22), which will be phased out entirely in a few years, or upgrade to the new refrigerant (R410A) and replace both the coil and the compressor.  

Ultimately, I chose Honest Air Conditioning because in addition to their consistently good Yelp reviews, competitive pricing, and broad service area, they were able to extend to me an excellent financing plan of 12mos, no interest, same as cash.

Honest's sales rep, Cody, came to my home, did a thorough inspection of the proposed project, explained all the pricing and brand options, as well as answered all my questions in detail.  Just a smooth, flawless, and convincing experience with gathering an estimate from him.

Let me say first and foremost, although the test of time and proper maintenance will ultimately determine the quality of the work, the actual installation of the new equipment was performed neatly and from a layman's perspective, correctly.  However, it bears mentioning that my interaction with the installation tech did not go as smoothly.

1) I was assured by Cody that the technician would call ahead of time on the installation day to verify if I'd be at home.  I planned my morning around the proposed installation time of between 10:30-11a and had just finished showering when the tech showed up unannounced, knocking at my door.  He had not called ahead and as a result I had to answer the door dripping wet, lol!

2) In my conversations with Cody about vacuuming and flushing the refrigerant line of the old R22, he reassured me that I'd be more than welcome to ask the tech any questions and was encouraged to watch him go through that aspect of the install.  However, I did not get that impression at all from the tech himself, who seemed more inclined to perform the task without my presence.

3) This point in particular can be chalked up as the biggest reason that I can't give a 5-star review here.  When the tech unhooked the compressor unit outside the house, I asked him if he planned on replacing the foam sleeve that covers the refrigerant line.  I went so far as to offer him the substantial length of unused foam sleeve that I had purchased from a local A/C supply store earlier in the year, which was in my garage (the sleeve that was in place was one I put on myself to replace the cracked and decomposing one that the home builder put on in the first place).  The technician reassured me that he had the supply in his truck and would replace it and make it look really nice.  Later on during the install, as he was prepping the lines to be welded onto the new compressor unit, I noticed that the old foam sleeve was still in place over the line.  Taking into account his aversion to my questions and concerns, I refrained from asking him again about the sleeve and put faith in his earlier promise.  After the technician finished the install and left my home (which I'll get into in just a minute), I decided to go outside and take a look at the work performed on the compressor unit.  As I feared, the tech DID NOT replace the foam sleeve at all and only wrapped it in new tape, from top to bottom.  In truth, he did not wrap the sleeve as close to the unit as possible, and left the line exposed where the foam was cut when I put it on earlier in the year.  I came after the fact and added an additional single wrap of tape around the bottom of the sleeve so it would hug the line close near the weld.

4) Once the tech had finished the work and brought in the paperwork to sign, I did a quick once-over of the work area where the air handler closet is in my hallway.  Although he did lay down a fabric tarp over his work area, he still managed to spill some type of adhesive epoxy on my laminate flooring.  I got on my knees and managed to wipe it from the flooring with a bit of rubbing.  The tech could clearly see me doing this, but said nothing in the form of apology or asked if he could help.

5) This is a personal preference, but I believe that any business relationship should begin and end with a handshake.  After completing the paperwork, the tech took an incoming phone call on his cell and simply walked out the door without acknowledging me at all.  Ironic, considering that's Honest's slogan - handshakes!

Let me end on a high note by saying that the following Monday I spoke directly with Cody who let me know that this tech in particular was new to the team and all my issues would be addressed with him.  Cody also offered to have a tech come by the house and replace the foam sleeve (although it would end up requiring that it be cut, much in the same way I had to do before).  If I can offer any advice to Honest A/C is that they make sure to put an equal emphasis on making sure their  techs are as well trained in customer interaction as they are in the technical aspects of their job.

We had a great experience recently. Randy was very efficient in getting us scheduled in and the plumber was very friendly and quick to solve the drainage issue we were having! We look forward to using y'all again!

We used Proficient Plumbing on a major job replacing all the water lines in our home.  We talked to people who used them in the past for similar jobs, and they were highly recommended.  I felt the estimate they gave us was reasonable.  Owner Bertin Jaimes said it would take 2 weeks from beginning to end, and they completed the job on time.  We could not have been happier with the results.  They were very professional and were very conscious of doing a clean job, minimizing damage to our home. The crew - Bertin, Frankie, Chris, and Garrett - could not have been more accommodating.  They made sure we understood the work being planned each day and when necessary to have the water turned off, they gave us plenty of notice so we could plan accordingly.  We are very satisfied customers and would highly recommend them.

I am so happy I found Christian.  He fixed a leak in my kitchen faucet and replaced a sensor valve on my hot water recirculating pump.  He's a super nice guy, does excellent and fast work, and very fair hourly price.  I initially called a larger company but they quoted me a much higher fixed price.  Christian has been doing this for around 30 years.  He's super knowledgable, and he took 20 minutes of his time on an initial phone call to diagnose the problem and make sure that he had the necessary parts when he showed up at my house.  He'll be my go-to guy for all future plumbing issues!

We have used Osborn several times in the past year for our irrigation system, shower repair, and most recently our tankless water heater.  In each case, they have been extremely professional, prompt, and courteous.  Their work is well done, no re-do like we've had with other companies.  I highly recommend them.

Kinda  an emergency, needed yard mowed quick.   Martinez Services call texted back in minutes on memorial day weekend.  He got over in a couple of hours on a saturday.  Due to appointment running late had to leave him money out.  He is very honest, did work.  Great job, stayed in contact, sent pictures.  Great guy, great lawn guy.  Top notch.  Hard worker.

I hired Don and his team to install a new kitchen sink as well as a kitchen faucet. Needed a new hot water valve replaced due to corrosion for a new washer. Called at 730am on a Monday thinking it would be a day or so before they could get out. Had plumber here at 9:00am same day. Great service and results. Will use them again.

We were referred by a family member who said Chris was a great plumber and was very reasonable. We have an older home that we inherited and it has had ongoing plumbing issues that just never seem to be fixable other than a temporary solution. Plus our home had an extension added to house my wife's great grandmother in the late 70's. The plumbing has always been even worse in that section.

Chris arrived on time and immediately resolved our problems very quickly, cleaning out both drains to the Main and replacing some leaking hardware. If you're in need of an honest, hardworking plumber, Jerrod of Aloha Plumbing is the one to call.  We had a leaky water softener that needed to be replace.  Jerrod came by in the morning hours to examine the problem.  After a few minutes he found the crack and offered me options.  Since the softener was old, we opted for a new one.  With in 4 hours he had returned with the new one and had it working like a charm.  Great service and fair prices.

Wow. Called and asked if I need to reschedule because I had airbnb tenants in until 2p. They said no, they will stop by after. Of course, they showed up at 1p and got turned away. Then proceeded to charge me 49 dollars...not to mention it was supposed to be 39. Then when I called, no refund issued. Unbelievably bad.

Holy cow I wish I'd found this company months ago!   Buying a duplex that needed a TON of work done, I've been dealing with all sorts of contractors, handymen, plumbers, You name it. It's always a HUGE pain finding someone who will show up and do good work and not try to rip you off. When our tenants called and said a faucet burst, I was expecting a nightmare. However, I called Daniel's, and they sent Jim over within minutes. It was close to closing time, but he showed up quickly and professionally, gave me a very reasonable quote, and got to work. Everything was said and done within an hour and it actually ended up costing me less than quoted.  He was super nice and informative as he worked. I'm so relieved to have found these guys.
