Lance was AMAZING and KNOWLEDGEABLE.

I was in a bind when Best Buy delivered my washer and dryer and they told me they couldn't complete the job because the water drain line needs to be opened for them to thread the washer line down. I didn't know what they were talking about. They told me they couldn't do it because they didn't want to be responsible for any damage. And I needed to use my washer today. I searched several plumbers and a majority of them were closed on Sundays, one was closed for the holidays per their answering service and one other one said they would get back to me but they never did.

I continued my search and called Lance. He texted me back right away and was extremely responsive, was able to accommodate a same day appointment and he fixed not only accessing the washer water drain line but he connected my washer, and also helped me find out what was wrong with my dishwasher (cycle would run but no water) and my sink disposal (builders had somehow let rocks get in there). His service fee was very reasonable especially for a same day appointment which I was extremely grateful for.

We've had a/c issue for years and spent crazy amount of money on the same problem. It was ongoing leak from the 2nd floor down into the kitchen. Eventually we have been told to call a plumber to check the bathroom issue, because everything was fine with a/c.
It took Paul less than 10min to rule out plumbing issue. He knew exactly that it was a problem with an a/c, how and where to fix it. He had his crew coming very next morning and the problem was taking care within a few hrs. AN HE HIS COMPANY DOESN'T SPECIALIZE ON A/C!

I just can't highlight enough how professional, fast and fair the services are.

WOW, best plumber ever! Alex is fast, efficient, effective, and a very knowledgeable plumber. He knows what he is doing, explains the problem and what needs to be done, and charges very reasonable price. After Alex helped me with repairing the faucet on my water main, he came back and helped me winterize/wrap up the pipe (and did perfect job with wrapping it pretty). He helped me flush my two AC units and clean out the drains. He took apart the drains, cleaned them, and put them back perfectly. He explained the process to me and advise me on how to keep up maintenance. He also double checked to make sure there were no leaks when he was done. Alex was thorough, fast, and very caring to my home.

Our toilet backed up and I found SJ Rooter & Plumbing through yelp. Johnny provided a timeframe and even texted to confirm. He arrived within the timeframe and quickly went to work. He was professional and quickly fixed the issue. His rates were reasonable. A+++++++++ service! Thank you!!

We recently moved into a new house and my mom, Sara, wanted to renovate everything. Emilio helped her remodel the kitchen sinks and bathrooms in a very timely manner with excellent quality. The customer service was very good and Emilio answered any questions that she had. Great company, and would definitely recommend!

I have been ripped off by David Hicks Plumbing twice.  The first time they replaced bathroom fixtures that didn't need to be replaced.  I wrote that off as an honest mistake. The second time I asked them to literally buy the right hose and hook up a washing machine when they were at my house doing other work.  $549.77 later had put in new plumbing to get things up to code.  

The City had just had an authorized contractor replace the plumbing David Hicks Plumbing tore out.  The City did this as part of a drainage line replacement to take drainage from the back of the property to the front.  When I complained about the work and the bill, David Hicks told me to talk to his employee that did the work.  The employee wouldn't return my messages.  When I called David Hicks, he said I would have to meet the employee at my house and the employee would call me to set up a time.  They employee didn't call.

I called again to say his employee never called, he callously stood by the fact the work was done to take the plumbing up to code.  When I asked him to come out and show me why the City's work, some of which the employee left in place wasn't at code, he told me I would have to talk to the employee.  When I asked to see the permits they got from the City, required if work was being done to take the plumbing up to code, he got really nervous and explained they typically don't get permits.  This puts the liability for code violations on his customers, as the work they do is not inspected by the City.  When I pointed this out, he told me he would get back to me,  By get back to me, he apparently meant send me another invoice with finance charges.

I am reporting David Hicks to the City and the Better Business Bureau.  DO NOT use David Hicks Plumbing.

Are you kidding me??? We set up an appointment almost a week in advance. No show, no call... When I called them they told me that someone didn't show up for work and they were running about 2 hours behind (thanks for the call!) Approx 3 hours later we called THEM again and they said we're workin on it... Approx 6 hours later when I called them yet again, no one answered the phone. No one ever showed up or called!!!

We own a small business in League City and this is absolutely NOT how we do business. In fact, they were the opposite of how we operate - unprofessional, discourteous, unreliable, worthless... It cost us over $300 in our own business to sit around all day and be strung along! It's a good thing our house wasn't flooding, huh???

In summation, if you call Lanco Plumbing for anything, you better be ready for disappointment, regret, and a costly day off! Thanks for nothing....

My garbage disposal motor went out in the kitchen and I called the number to ask for a quote to replace. I bought my own disposal and it cost $125 to replace and test the new disposal. Same day service, the tech Miguel did a good job removing and installing the disposal and testing to make sure the seals are tight. Pricing is much more reasonable than some of the big name plumbing companies that I called for a quote ($250 on replacing a disposal, really??)

I just had these folks out to install a Pentair filtration system. Everyone I spoke to over the phone and in person from getting an estimate through installation was very courteous and professional. The installation was timely and very well done. Aldo showed up to look at the property and took the time to describe in detail exactly what they would be doing for the install. The other company that came out just looked and quoted a price but didn't bother to go over what to expect.

The guy that came out was very cocky and after tearing out our old toilet said he was going to have to re-run special plumbing or we were going to have to return our toilet, yet he tore open and destroyed the box before he looked at it all and then proceeded to tell us that Lowes wouldn't take our toilet back without a box.  What a jerk!

I called Nick's Plumbing as I had a gas leak and the pipe needed to be replaced.  I was closing on my house in a few days so I was panicked.  The customer service started out very positive - they sent someone immediately.  Once the plumber and his assistant arrived, I felt like he instantly used the scare tactic. He knew my anxiety level was already high - he painted the worst possible experience ever.  As a woman, I took great offense as he made me feel like I was uninformed.  He wasn't rude but I would bet my next paycheck if a man was there, his tactics would have been VERY different.  After taking pictures and having me sign documents that he failed to explain to me, even though I asked what I was signing,  I received an outrageous quote of almost $5,000 (including a $269.00 trip fee).  That night, I called another licensed plumber (also with a big name) and they met me first thing in the morning.  Not only did he take the time to really explain things, he did not make me feel that my hot water heater was going to have to be replaced, my entire yard was going to have to be dug up or that I was going to have to spend a small fortune to have this fixed.  I ended up paying $1,500.  What was the biggest turn off and absolutely made me realize I will never do business with Nick's was how the plumber treated his assistant. His assistant could tell I was getting flustered and upset and tried to say something - the main plumber literally motioned to him like shhh, don't say anything.  I would think twice about using Nicks - call around for other quotes before paying the astronomical trip fee.  What a waste of money!
