Had to call multiple times for someone to answer. I explained the issue (same issue happens in every single household, sooner or later) I literally told them the brand of faucet with issue, the shape of the faucet, the size of the faucet, the location of the faucet, the age of the house and was I was told $200 just to come out and first available time to go out would be at least 8 days out. Yet their Yelp advertisement says under 1 hour response time. No thanks, not every homeowner is naive gullible and incompetent.

Needed to get our outside faucets replaced and our stove gas line recessed into the wall so our new electric stove would fit properly. BG Plumbing came in and saved the day. We talked over our options for our faucets and decided against my original idea thanks for the knowledgable plumber and came back on their next available opening and recessed our gas line for the stove. Everything went smooth and I appreciated the upfront and honest feedback provided. I'll keep their info handy for any future help needed.

We are first time homeowners and immediately had to deal with getting a new water heater. I searched Yelp and looked at reviews before finding BG Plumbing. I also got a few different quotes to try and see what the price would look like.

Tasnko was absolutely top class from start to finish. He was quick to reply, fair with prices and gave me a lot of good information on what I did and did not need. It's not surprise he has so many positive reviews.

I had some work done & estimates given for more work.

This review is difficult & complicated to write--so I have simplified a complex situation.

While the work done was correct--it was also about twice as expensive as the same work by another plumber I called in afterwards. The work done was also the type of repair I have done myself in the past so this was sort of a test. I was actually disappointed because I believed it to be a simple adjustment rather than replacing a part that I know how to do anyway.

Also, every plumber before & after my encounter with BG has always recommended a certain brand of a popular fixture. BG told me he doesn't think this brand is any good & instead of working on them--wanted to replace them with another product. Needless to say, I got frustrated on this matter & was turned off. Guess what? I saved about $300 by having the next plumber do it!

As far as the estimates for the additional work I was considering--it was also at least twice as expensive & made out to be more complicated than what I actually paid for to have another plumbing company perform. By using another plumber--I saved about $1000 over what BG told me the way he recommended on doing the work--to satisfy himself! It's advisable to get other opinions folks!

No doubt BG does excellent & elegantly designed work--but its pricey and didn't offer me lower cost, but still effective alternative solutions, to solve the issues at my home. Maybe he didn't wanted me to use him again so deliberately was charging me too much. If you do your research here on Yelp, you will find competent plumbers who do good work & at lower rates.

Late on a Sunday even, we discovered our kitchen faucet was leaking and dripping into the cabinet beneath. We shut down the water to the sink and we're prepared to wait until later in the week to have a functioning kitchen sink. After all, it was Sunday, followed by a holiday, which meant surely no one would be able to help us until later in the week, right?

Absolutely wrong! I sent a message via the Yelp app to BG Plumbing late, LATE Sunday night and had a response from the owner, Tsanko, early Monday morning. After describing the problem to him, and receiving valuable recommendations as to how to proceed with fixing the problem, he promised to be over at noon. He arrived promptly and ready to get started. He provided excellent feedback to us as he completed the repair and didn't mind at all discussing future upgrades, be they real or hypothetical; Installing a tankless hot water system or the possibility of running a beer tap to an unused hole on the kitchen sink! (The latter just might happen if we can get the Mrs. on board)

The job was finished quickly, cleanly, and without error. BG Plumbing will be my company of choice for years to come! Thank you for an honest quote and quality work!

We had a lot of issues going on, and Tsanko was awesome throughout everything. He provided the estimate we needed for insurance, and was very patient as we waited for insurance approval, which took a few days. Good communication, which saved me a lot of anxiety.

In the end, we had our water heater replaced, new kitchen faucet, fixed a leak, and replaced outdoor faucet. I plan to hire Tsanko in the future for any plumbing needs, including putting in a water softener.

If you're looking for a great plumber, you will not be disappointed in Tsanko and BG Plumbing.

Well, we picked him for having the absolutely highest, almost unreally high Yelp rating - and guess what? - he really was that good. Hence my own 5-star review is here!

So, what was great: communication (phone, email, SMS), scheduling, details provided on projects, options given to us, willing to go the extra mile, etc. And yes, we felt that the prices were reasonable. We used him for 2 projects so far (sort of 2.5) and everything was great or better.

What was not so good? Seriously, I cannot think of anything. Hence a proper 5 star review!

Found a leaking valve on my water closet. I broke the PEX at the nipple on the elbow in my bungled repair. Tsanko came the next day at the agreed time. Repaired in about an hour. You can see the quality in the photos. Good price... good work = good value. Good conversation was a bonus. When you need repairs give BG a call. Golf swing is similar to tennis stroke. Good to meet you.

On a Wednesday evening when the temperature was in the 20's our water heater stopped working. We called a number of the big name plumbers. One came out the next morning and gave us a quote. As you can imagine we were tempted to accept it even though we thought it high. Taking a cold shower makes one desperate. But we looked on Yelp under Ten Best Plumbers and called BG Plumbers. The owner, came to the house 30 minutes after the call. He gave us a quote that was $600 less than the other firm. He did the job in an hour. We are extremely pleased.

I have a rental house in San Antonio metro area. My tenants called me that they have no hot water. Tsanko replaced my water heater a few months ago, I'm just a little late on the review. I found him on Yelp and sent a message late one evening when I found water all over my garage floor. He contacted me first thing in the morning and got the water heater info from me. Showed up at our arranged time, 10 or 11 that same morning, with the new water heater ready to go. He took the old one out, installed the new one, and was finished in an hour and a half, maybe two from what I recall. I was really surprised how quick he was. He was so nice and did such a great job I will definitely use him again if I ever need plumbing services! His price was right in line with the other estimates I received also.

Excellent service. Tsanko came out to our home on time and gave us a detailed run down of our water heater and it's needs and services. This is our first home so we have zero idea of anything related to it. We decided to call him instead of using our home insurance. He quoted us a very fair price and let us know a timeline of when those services might be needed as well as what it would look like when something does need to be changed. Needless to say we will not be using insurance when the time comes, instead will be using this company to have everything taken care of. If you are in your first home and need plumbing services I highly recommend you use this company. I know we will from here forward.

This guy is super nice and did an awesome job. The only reason why I took a star off is because after installing our water softener he didn't start it properly. So we ended up having to do it ourselves. Not a huge deal for us but I can imagine people can have problems with this or just not even realize to begin with there was a problem. I would recommend him overall though.

I called BG Plumbing because I can hear water drops sometimes from my bathroom, especially at night time. Tsanko answered the phone right away, and arrived in 30 mins as he promised.

He checked the bathroom, nothing is wrong there. And there's no water drops sound too. Tsanko explained the sound might not be from a leaking. But my water usage is way too much more than my neighbors of the same family size. I was suspicious of what he said. Then, he showed me the water meter. It's still. I stared at it for a minute and it's not moving at all. It should be moving if there was a leaking going somewhere. There is no sense the leaking stops from time to time. It should always be there.. OK, now he completely convinced me. I should look somewhere else for my big water bill but definitely not leaking. Tsanko left his business card and we said good bye to each other. No charge.

That's my experience with Tsanko and his BG Plumbing. Tsanko is very honest, efficient, and willing to help. I will definitely call him again if there really is a plumbing issue. Thank you Tsanko!

Fast, affordable & very helpful! I called in the morning and he was able to stop by a few hours later. We had a rusted/frozen gas dryer pipe and he was able to get it functioning. Tsanko was able to quickly diagnose an issue with a hot water heater and gave me lots of options on how to remedy / fix it (a tankless heater is probabky in our future!) Update.....Had Tsanko out again to look at shower that stopped working. He was able to guide me in purchasing parts and came out to fix the problem. When I purchased a part that did not fit properly to cover the holes in the wall, I trusted him to go out to purchase and install a comparable part. He did and I am very happy. The service was expertly done, Tsanko had all the parts needed to repair a non-working water heater, completed the job in less than an hour and called before the appointment and asked if he could arrive early. Finally, since he was so fast he gave a discount on the parts (cost only!!).

Because we had a series of past positive experiences with him on prior, smaller jobs, we went with him. Tsanko called on the day of the appt. and said he could even come earlier if I wanted. Very accommodating and friendly. Fast and highly efficient. Fair pricing, and he recommended a particular make and model garbage disposal for me to pick up on my own since I told him I get a military discount at Lowe's. He will pick up the item for you though, if needed. Job was down right, and the recommended product is much better than some bargain models. Give him a shout! He'll call you back within minutes if he's not in the middle of a job.

Tsanko gets high ratings for showing passion with his work. I recommend him for the installation of Aquasana whole-house water filtraion and softener system. He is very organized and methodical in his planning. The copper tubes were neatly placed with efficient spacing and symmetry through the system. It is a thing of beauty. He understands his trade very well ensuring I have a bypass system so I can safely service the unit in the future. He is focus on the job and maintains a clean work area. It was a very long overdue review. One day morning, I found out there was water leak from my water heater. It was an old water heater. So, I decided to replace it. I quickly looked for plumber on yelp and found Tsanko.
Long story short, Tsanko quickly came over to install new water heater in the same morning. I remembered him as a friendly nice person. It has been a long time Tsanko. (Maybe 5 years... lol)

Tsanko and his assistant just left my house after doing an emergency replacement of a 50-gal water heater. We discovered it was leaking last night, and had basically turned into a mini-garage flood by this morning.

I called BG Plumbing at 10AM today. Tsanko said he thought he could make his schedule work to take care of me at 2PM. He started to explain what water heaters he works with and why and etc., which I greatly appreciated, but frankly I said, I really like that you're giving me this opportunity to make a choice, but I'd rather trust you. You're the professional. Please get me the best 50-gallon tank that you know is reliable and will last. Boom. Done.

Tsanko was polite, helpful, educational, and made the process so easy for me. He was patient with my questions, which were numerous and some were even unrelated to the job at hand. He even took his shoes off when he walked in my house to bleed the lines of air.

He saved me from a water pipe burst and almost another catastrophic nightmare with the water pressure in the house. He makes sure you understand the problem before he move forward on anything. Had Tsanko repipe our whole house this past weekend. This was about as painless an experience as I could imagine. Tsanko clearly explained everything that needed to be done, promptly brought to my attention any problems, and was genuinely concerned about opening any more walls than he needed to.

His copper pipe installation is very clean -- by clean I mean both the cleanliness of the work site and the quality/look/aesthetics of the pipe runs. He doesn't do any patch work for the walls, but he is conscientiousness of how much wall he is ripping out.

Very reasonable price, efficient worker, and even made sure that we had at least one working faucet over night.

If you're trying to decide whether to DIY or call this guy, save yourself the time (and shame of failure), put down the wrench (plunger?) and dial that number.

I like to consider myself pretty handy, so when the sink needed fixin' I took on the (seemingly) simple job. A week and a dismembered sink later, we gave in and called BG Plumbing and were given a reasonable quote over the phone.

This guy was nice and professional.There's a good reason he's so highly rated on Yelp (that's how we found him). He didn't even mock us for our failure, just explained how he did in a few minutes what took us days of trying (I'm sure we loosened it for him). He even had to make a trip to the hardware store to buy a special tool for the job, but despite that, he stuck to the amount he quoted over the phone. Good guy, good deal.

We just had a very good experience with BG Plumbing. The shower/tub valve was giving hot water only. We couldn't remove the valve and were told by another plumbing company the whole unit would have to be replaced. After checking Yelp for highly rated plumbers that specialize in tankless water heaters in Fremont, BG Plumbing was one of two companies that stood out. When the first plumber didn't call back promptly, I called Tsanko this morning just after 8:30 am, explained that our unit had developed a tiny leak and wasn't working, and he said he could come by around 9 or 9:15.

Tsanko showed up right on time, and quickly diagnosed part of the problem (one of the end-caps inside the unit was slightly loose - and possibly had been since we got the unit a year and a half ago). If that had been it, he wasn't even going to charge us. However, it turned out that one of the sensors also wasn't working properly, and while talking to Navian's tech support, he removed and disassembled the small sensor, got it functioning properly, and hooked everything back up. That did the trick, and things are now back to normal. He also caught the fact that the unit had been incorrectly set to 110 degrees, even though the remote said 120 degrees (something that our contractor obviously missed). It took him just over an hour from start to finish, and the $95 price (his hourly rate) seemed reasonable.

I found Tsanko to be very friendly, methodical, and knowledgeable. It was a great experience all around, and it's nice to know that BG Plumbing is close by if we have any future problems.

I called yesterday about replacing my leaky garbage disposal. Today Tsanko arrived at my door, 3 minutes early, with the new disposal in hand.
Zip! Zap! Done! He'd replaced the old one. He took a bit longer to test the seals and functioning on the new one. He removed the debris and was ready to go.

The owner was extremely receptive and helpful. I would call before the hours of operation and he would call me back before they even officially opened. Highly recommend! I needed a plumber to fix a broken tub faucet in my rental property that was running constantly. Tsanka fit me in that day and really went the extra mile to get the job done right, even spending a couple minutes to educate my tenants about how to care for the new faucet. I felt his price was extremely fair for the work he did. He's quick to respond to phone calls/texts and kept me informed...which is important to me since I currently manage this property from another state. Hopefully I don't need to but I wouldn't hesitate to call him again! I honestly believe this is a plumber you can trust to do the job right and charge you fairly.

This is actually the second time Tsanko has come to our rescue! The first time, we were having issues with our toilet and he quickly helped fix the BIG problem... but there was a smaller problem that my husband had inadvertantly introduced when he tried to fix it and so Tsanko kindly pointed out what the problem was and how to fix it. He said he could fix it too but it would cost more and it was easy to fix so perhaps give my hubby a try again. That was very nice of him to say and I appreciated his honesty in this situation.

The second time around, we sprung a leak in our bathroom sink and he fit us between two appointments; came in, fixed the pipe, checked all the seals, and presto chango...done! He is so efficient and so quick to fix any problem that seems to pop up. I appreciate his courtesy and professionalism and also he is soo sweet. He is definitely our go to guy for any plumbing needs!

The water spout in my tub started with a small drop and after doing some research online, it turned out that I needed a new cartridge. I could have attempted to do the work myself but I didn't want to take a chance and make things worse so I decided to contact a professional to be on the safe side. I jumped on Yelp, did some review readings and found a great company with all 5 star reviews. So I sent a YELP message to B&G Plumbing with my situation and with-in 10 minutes max I had a response from the owner. He was professional, to the point, and asked a couple of questions to try and narrow down the possibility of my issue. After several brief messages we were able to pin point the issue and it turned out that my initial research of needing a new cartridge was correct. He then provided a quote for the work, no hidden fees, or extra costs. I went ahead and accepted the quote and made the appointment. He showed up a little early which was great for me, introduced himself and was very professional. I showed him the shower and he quickly got started. He brought three different cartridges just to make sure he had the correct one, which he did, gave me a great explanation of how it works, what he was doing and even gave recommendations/tips on how I can do it myself next time so I wouldn't have to call a plumber again. I really appreciated the advice and the class he gave me, he didn't have to do that but he was extremely honest and I learned a lot in the time he was there. I have added him to my main contacts for work and he is now my main plumber and will get all my calls if I ever need some help. Price was very reasonable and he stuck to his quoted amount, not a penny more. If you are in need of plumbing services, give him a call or shoot him a message, I can guarantee you will not regret his work. Definite 5 stars from me!!

I called BG plumbing to have a gas hookup for my dryer installed, Tsanko
Came out punctually and surveyed the site for hookup. After checking out my existing gas pipe, he explained that I couldn't hook up to my pool gas line because it was too large and my piping for my water heater and stove and furnace plus pool heater basically maxed out my meter and existing line and if he did connect to this, the dryer and other appliances would not work well if they were all running at one time. He also said that the cost of running a line would be less economical than using an electric dryer. I really appreciate the honesty, as he could just have given me a price and done the job leaving me to find the problem later. He also recommended calling pg&e to get a larger meter installed. I will call him for any plumbing jobs that I need. I can understand the five star ratings in his yelp.

So our water heater started leaking water. It's one of those things one dreads but needs to be taken care of sooner than later. We didn't have a regular plumber to call out. Found BG Plumbing on Yelp with very high ratings. Needless to say they more than live up to what they've been rated. Extremely professional, a prompt response to our initial request, they keep their committed appointment to the minute, installation of quality products, reasonable pricing, an efficient & expert installation which also brought the water heater configuration up to code. We have a new quality water heater thanks to Tsanko & Evan who made short work of this job. We highly recommend BG Plumbing. You won't be disappointed. Had a huge of a problem with the heather in my house. Called in one of the big name companies that wasted my time. Then I looked for someone local and I found BG plumbing. From the moment the tech came in, I felt totally confident he was going to be on it. He came and gave me a lot better estimate than my previous company that I called. After the estimate and my approval to go ahead with the job, the problem was fixed really quick - boom, done.
I did not get any sells pitch and how this could be so unsafe to do if not done this way... Overall great experience and I felt his honesty and professionalism. Highly recommend.

After my water heater went belly up last night, the first thing I had to do this morning was to find a decent plumber. I consulted yelp and read many of the 5 star reviews for BG Plumbing. It seems everybody loves this company and its hardworking and honest owner who does all the work himself. I called and received an appointment for that morning. Sure enough he arrived on time as all reviews had claimed and did a first class job quickly and professionally. BG Plumbing is the one to call for your plumbing issues. My water heater light went out and wouldn't turn back on. No more hot water! I gave BG a call and Tsanko said he could be there in 5 minutes. He arrived as he said he would, checked out the water heater and told me exactly what was wrong with it. He was punctual, helpful, knowledgable, and professional the whole time. I appreciate the quick repair for a great price. I also appreciate how he didn't try to force me to by a brand new one, but rather offered it as an option. Tsanko is great. I had a leaky upstairs shower valve, it was leaking quite a lot so I was worried it was going to be a costly fix. We opened up the back wall to see exactly where the leak was coming from, and we knew which junction of the valves it was coming from. Then, I called several plumbers to give an estimate of the fix. Two of the plumbers came, looked at the valve leak and said they want to swap out the entire valve set, which will also require opening up more wall, maybe damaging our old rusty galvanized pipes, costing hundreds of dollars. (It's an old house) It would also take at least three hours.

Tsanko came and said the solution is very simple, swap out the diverter stem, since that's the place the leak is coming from. I was having doubts since the other two plumbers told me you'd have to swap out the whole valve, and he patiently explained to me that the valve itself is just a piece of brass, even if you swap out the brass, it's going to continue to leak. It's the stem that's leaking. It made sense and he fixed it in 30 minutes costing a little more than a hundred. We tested it and there was no leaks.

Two days after, another leak appeared in the same bathtub after my roommate showered, I was starting to have doubts about Tsanko's fix. However, I tested the shower, and couldn't reproduce the problem, and was completely stumped. I called him, and he came right away at 9pm at night, and he quickly diagnosed the problem. The problem only shows up if the faucet is dripping slowly, and my roommate hadn't turned off the faucet all the way. It was basically lack of caulking plus the back washer being worn out. He proposed the easy solution of just caulking up the gaps. This visit was completely free!

I was impressed by a few things:
#1. Unlike the other plumbers, he was able to exactly pinpoint the problem. I'm sure if the other plumbers swapped out the whole set, they would've fixed the problem as well, but that would've been costly, and dangerous, since my pipes were old and I wasn't ready to swap out a bunch of pipes right then.
#2. He explains the problem and can show me what's happening
#3. He came out in the evening as soon as I called, and stated that it would be free.

I now have a plumber I can trust explain things to me so I can understand exactly what's wrong and how to fix it. He's knowledgeable and willing to help. I've already recommended him to my friends.

Tsanko came on a Monday morning, did a thorough inspection and determined the boiler should be replaced. He was able to come back by noon with the new unit and started installing it! Great workmanship and everything works 100%. He provided detailed explanations and instructions on how to operate the unit and what to look out for. The charges were very reasonable. For sure will call him again for any plumbing issues. He does not work weekends, so you'll have to wait till the following Monday for him to come by, but I believe it's definitely worth the wait.

EXCELLENT SERVICE! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Old water heater started leaking. They came out on the same day to take a look. Installed a tank-less water heater the next day. No pushy sales tactics. Just recommended what was needed. The quality of the work was exceptional. Took extra care and precaution with pipes and insulation. Very much worth the price.

No more big ugly water tank. The water gets heated only when you need it. Much more energy efficient, saving money on energy bills.

Yucky rusty water was flushed out after the old tank was removed. No more water sitting in a tank.

There is a lot to like about BG Plumbing and Tsanko, the owner. He does all the plumbing himself so you'll know you get the best.
We had a leak in a bathtub and he came out to diagnose it and to give an estimate of putting the tub back in as we had torn it out. He gave a straight quote, as it seems he quotes per the job instead of per hour. The quote was reasonable and because of all the good reviews we hired him. He came on time ready to work, and did a neat, professonal job. There was a small part to finish after we tiled the wall, so he came back within the week we called him back and finished. No hidden charges. He asked me when decisions were to be made, and answered any questions. We will definitely call BG Plumbing for our next plumbing job.

I found BG Plumbing and Tsanko through Yelp because of the high ratings, and everyone is right!
I had two 20 year old water heaters, one of them leaking. I decided to replace both of them and called Tsanko for advice. I followed his recommendations and scheduled an appointment.
Tsanko and his helper showed up right on time and completed the installation much faster than I expected. Tsanko is very professional, does a quality work and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend him for any plumbing problem. I will deffinitly use him if I have any problems in the future.

BG Plumbing solved a problem nobody else could solve.

Ever since my remodel there have been problems with my plumbing - loud noises in the wall, shower valve cartridges cracking and leaks in my RO system. Obviously something was causing stress to the system but the plumbing contractor couldn't find the cause. I hired another plumber who stayed for two days, charged several hundred dollars to try experiments and ultimately failed to resolve the issues. A friend recommended BG so I gave him a call. He quickly diagnosed the problem (a low quality check valve near the water heater) and replaced it; he also found and corrected a few other problems with my system, and I've had no problems ever since.

This guy is smart, honest, and hard working. He did such a good job I have no more need for a plumber, but if I ever do, I know who I will call.

Thank you Yelp, and thank you BG Plumbing. I have had a couple of annoying little plumbing problems, so today I checked Yelp and picked up the phone. Lucky me: Tsanko had some space in his schedule this afternoon, so he came over and took care of it before dinnertime. Everything the previous reviewers said was accurate. He explained each of the problems, proposed the solutions, gave me a plan of action and a reasonable estimate, and followed through.

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone did business this way?

I live in Avalon area in Fremont and had a leaky shower facuet. Due to aging parts, I couldn't open the control Panel/Handle set to access and replace the dammaged valve myself. So I called a 5-star rated Plumbing company. The plumber came and quoted $ XXX to fix it. After my OK, he tried but couldn't open it either. He suggested to knock open the wall behind it in the bed room to access the control valve. The cost is $975, much higher than I expect.

I declined and called BG Plumbing. An answering machine was on and I left message. Tsanko called me 30 minutes later and set appointment next morning. He arrived on time, took a look, tried standard tool and couldn't open it either. He went back to his truck and had a special tool set and opened it and fix the problem right away. He paid attention to very small details, oiled the stucking parts to prevent problem next time, and cleaned everything after. Tsanko charged me 30% less than the XXX price from the first plumber. Tsanlo said he spent less time than normal and gave me a discount.

I'm very pleased not just cost saving, my Bed room wall is also saved from a 12 x 24 patched area. I give BG Plumbing a 5-Star rating. December, 2013 by CK

we were trying to become more energy efficient, so we decided to install a tankless water heater. we selected BG plumbing based on the numerous 5 star reviews posted on yelp. Tsanko (the company owner) agreed to travel from Fremont to Los Gatos to give us an estimate.

it only took Tsanko a few moments to determine that a tankless water heater would not be in our best interest. (we have galvinized pipes, which he explained do not work well with tankless heaters).

we feel badly that this was basically a wasted trip for him. but we appreciate his professionalism and honesty. we didn't know that tankless water heaters and galvinized pipes don't work out well. he easily could have done the work for us and collected the money and left us with a less than ideal situation.

but he didn't, and for his honesty we are grateful. when our old water heater needs to be replaced, we will definitely give him a call.

We had Tsanko come in do a complete re-piping of our house while we were on vacation. He was tidy and provided first rate work, and his quote was reasonable and fair. The experience was great! He knew what he was talking about and was able to solve the problems we were having. After reading YELP reviews I visited the website and was impressed by the step by step information on how tankless water heaters are flushed. When the proper values hadn't been installed he explained what exactly needed to be done and the problem was solved. BG Plumbing (a.k.a. Tsanko - the name of the plumber) - did most of the plumbing work on our two-story home addition: All copper water piping, all black abs sewer pipes, two new gas lines for tankless water heaters, and the installation of the tankless water heaters.

Tsanko was very flexible to squeeze in between other contractors working on the addition, so that the project could move smooth and quickly. He also replaced most of the pipes under the existing house (in the crawl space), and I was amazed to see how quickly he could work in that tight space.

Tsanko is very hones and reliable; he gave me separate quotes for each individual job, and had no problem telling me the cost of materials and labor, when I asked. His prices are super competitive, because he does the work himself (no subcontractors). He is licensed and insured. I am happy to say that he was one of my best choices among all contractors that I had to deal with (I managed the addition myself), and I'll hire him again if needed.

When you're looking for a plumber, you try and find someone that you think will be honest, fair, and then will do a good job. Tsanko is all of these things. I hired to replace my water heater with a tankless system. The tankless system was clearly the bigger and more expensive job, but Tsanko talked me out of that because it just wasn't necessary for the house and usage that we have. That's honesty. He replaced the water heater with another tank instead. It works great. He also pointed out some small things that he put in place to prevent problems in the future. That's a great job. I'm now looking for other jobs that he can do for me. I highly recommend him.

Contacted BG Plumbing after reading good reviews in Yelp. Tsanko picked up the phone immediately and was in my home in less than an hour. The job was to connect the gas line to the newly installed gas cooktop and install the regulator, shut-off valve, piping etc., He quickly went to Homedepot after doing the initial inspection and was back in a zip and finished the job in no time. He was very professional and knowledgable. Honest person and the quote was very very reasonable for the job. I had a broken shower valve that was leaking water even with the water main shut off. The owner Tsanko picked up my call and squeeze in a same day appointment into his schedule. He assessed the situation and warned me that if the approach to remove the broken part in the valve didn't work, he'd have to open the wall to replace the entire valve. Setting my expectation was important. Luckily he was successful and was able to remove and replace the broken part. I was very fortunately he was willing to try to help save me both time and labor expense. I give BG Plumbing a 5 star rating for his professionalism, knowledge, and reasonable cost.

Tsanko is reliable, honest and skilled. He fixed my shower pipes which were leaking around 8 months back. Did a great job and left a clean bathroom.

Last week I had another unrelated pipe issue. He came in and did some troubleshooting to tell me what the problem could be. He turned off my hot water pipes as he detected the leak in the hot water pipes. He did not charge me for the visit.

The present problem requires cutting some concrete and fixing the leak. He informed me that it was not something he is comfortable with (cutting concrete etc) but he can fix the leak. I sincerely think he is worth the 5 stars here and is a plumber you should call when you need one !

We chose BG Plumbing to install a new tankless water heater based on his bid and overall impression of competence. He arrived on time and completed the work in one day, leaving the place clean and swept. I was so impressed I called him back to do some repairs to fixtures, replacing some shutoff valves and finding and reparing a gas leak.

A friend called Tsanko about putting in gas pipes in a kitchen. The place is not in Fremont, so it is out of his way. But he was super nice to agree to take a look before turning down the job. Atfer the visit, he agree to take on the job, and because of the location, he even agreed to work on it on a Sat. Wonderful guy! Long story short, the best and most important feedback about Tsanko is he did a FANTASTIC job. He is PUNCTUAL (on both visits), THOROUGH, CLEAN, CAREFUL. And he gives you a peace of mind that the job is well done.

I will add my high marks for BG Plumbing. Nothing like a 50 gallon hot water heater leaking all over the garage to make you feel helpless and appreciative when it is taken care of. Tsanko showed up exactly on time, had a replacement heater ready to go and made fast work of everything. He is a very personable, knowledgeable and honest. When I asked about going with a tankless water heater, he suggested that in my situation a conventional one made more sense and cost much less. He also talked me through the pros/cons of different brands of water heaters. Another cool thing is that is a one-man show, so you know that you will get personalized service. Also, pretty neat that he named his company after the initials of his children.

This review is long overdue. We called Tsanko the Wednesday before Thanksgiving 2012 regarding a leak from our tub faucet. He was booked until after the holidays (understandable). It's a great thing to have a great plumber! My shower/tub replacement was a nightmare - every step presented a challenge that required Tsanko to come up with a creative solution. I don't know if other plumbers would have stuck with it, but Tsanko just continued to figure out what needed to be done. The problems required him to work longer and do more than he initially estimated. However, when he gave me the total bill , it was no more than what he told me it would be. Completely trustworth and a really nice guy. He is going to have a very successful business - My only concern is that when the word gets out on this guy, he'll be so busy, I'll have to wait a week for an appointment!

Yelp does it again. I needed a reliable plumber who would charge a fair price and was impressed by Tsanko's 5 star rating. I had a poorly installed kitchen sink faucet that I could not tighten. Tsanko quoted $145.00 to remove the faucet, drilled out the plywood backing and reinstalled the faucet. He sowed up right on time, was neat in his work and charged his quoted price even though it took longer to complete than expected as it is a tight space to work in. I will definitely use him again.

Tsanko was excellent. He completely replaced the guts of a 55 year old toilet that had been running for more than a month. It works perfectly again. I had repaired it many times over the years.
He also worked on our guest bath modern Kohler. So high tech it couln't be adjusted to stop running. Replacement parts from Kohler are special order. For 40 years I've done my own repairs (and replacements). I installed this toliet 11 years ago and have repaired its guts twice. Since I nolonger can get down on my knees to do a replacement I got on the internet and found BG Plumbing and Tsanko. He took a call right away. I gave his an idea of the problem and what I had done in the past. He was familiar with this Kohler and gave me a price range depending on an inspection. He played with the internals a few minutes, HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING. We agreed to replace it. He went to get parts (and the new toilet) and was back in less than an hour. An hour later both toilets were working properly. NO mess, no spilled water everywhere, like my repairs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.

Tsanko is a true professional in many ways. When I first called, he focused on my issue at first to ensure he understood my problems. He treats you with respect throughout the entire process from phone call to job completion. He is happy to answers your questions. He explains things in detail so I understood. He told me he may need to pressurize the water line to drain it. I thought that was odd. Well he knows what he was talking about as he recognized a potential issue with my water softener system having high pipes and would contain some water even after gravity draining. He has to heat the copper pipe to remove the old faucet and of course the heat was drawing water and cooling the pipe enough to not allow the solder joint to dissolve for old faucet removal. So he brings out a portable unit to get the job done and yes, removed the old faucet just as he analyzed. His timeliness from my first call to actual work start and job completion is superb. He uses products that you would buy for yourself and nothing like the home builders choose. Tsanko replaced my two outdoor faucets with quarter turn ball valve ones. So much easier to turn and no more gaskets .. now that is thinking for the long term. He noticed an issue with our water heater water line not having a valve and explained why it should and answered all my questions again. Of course he added one of quality and ease to use. He works very efficiently and takes care of you throughout the process. His prices are very good and when you add in his professionalism, knowledge, and quality ... would say that is a hard combination to beat ... awesome value indeed! I finally know a Fremont plumber that I will call without hesitation. Thank you Tsanko!

I hope my interaction with all contractors are like this!! Tsanko was great in multiple ways, first, I had a scheduling issue as something else came up for me, he heard me out and was ready to reschedule. Secondly, when he came, he showed up exactly at the time he promised. Third, he analyzed the problem with utmost detail and paying attention to what needs to be done (I had to get a fresh gas connection to the dryer). Third point is the most important, making intelligent guesses and advising whether to do or not to do is most important aspect. Some of these things are not straight forward, as you either pay for the gas connection or a new dryer. It is important to get all the facts before you make the decision. He was very frank in telling me the plus and negatives of gas. At the end, I decided to stick with electric for now as we are thinking of doing some re-org of the room, so it may not make sense to just get some stuff done now. I am very thankful for Tsanko's visit and guidance.
