We got back from dinner at 10:30pm and found out our AC was not blowing cold air.

We gave them a call in the morning  and they sent Al Lindsey. He was so helpful and came at around 10:30am. He was punctual and  was able to help us find the solution. He was also able to give us new tips/advice on how to have our home AC run more effectively.

Since then we fixed it and it's now running as good as ever. We highly recommend as Al was very informative and helpful!

We bought our house out here in 2019, and it was built in 2006.  Not too old, but not too young, either.  We've been doing a lot of work on things here and there, and a lot of things that we've fixed seem to have been fixed before by an uncle who knows how to fix stuff.

Our heat pump system was in that kind of state.  Before we bought the home, we asked that the owners repair the system, and they fixed it just enough to make it seem ok.  Last summer, we had ridiculously high electric bills, but since I felt cold air coming out of the vents, I thought that this was just how it worked.

Just after that cold snap in December, out heat pump stopped making heat.  I called Parobek, and they sent someone out in a couple of hours.  The tech looked at the system, and found that there was a coolant leak in the attic.  He quoted me several different options, ranging from repairing the leak and recharging the system, to replacing the leaking part with a new one, or simply replacing the system.  Due to the age of the system and my concern that spending a lot of money on a repair might just mean that something else breaks as soon as Summer started, I opted to order an entire new system, although I wasn't pressured to make this choice.  They would have been perfectly happy to repair my system for a much lower cost.

The price was a lot to absorb, but they worked with me on a plan where I paid half in cash and financed the rest at a favorable interest rate.  They even worked with me on an extra expense with my ducting that we thought might be repairable but ultimately wasn't.  They gave me time to get the money for this extra cost after the installation was completed, and I made two payments to them later on.

The new system is simply amazing.  I'm kind of a data geek, so I know exactly how my old system and the new one compare - and I got the cheapest system that Parobek offered.

The old system consumed 4.5kW while it was on, and it could cool my home around 3 degrees per hour at 85 degrees outside temperature.  At 95 degrees outside, it would only cool 1 degree per hour, taking the self-heating of the home into account.  At 100 degrees, the heat pump could only maintain the temperature in the home, and at temperatures higher than that, it could only slow down the home's self heating.

The new system only consumes 2.9kW to run, and it cools the home at a fast 9 degrees per hour at 85 degrees outside temperature.  I haven't had a chance to see what it does at 100 degrees, but that temperature drop seems to be flat at every temperature that I've tested it at.  I suspect that my cooling bill will be MUCH cheaper this summer, and my home more comfortable.  The installers even fixed the issue in my home where some vents had high air flow and some barely did anything.  Everything is balanced now.  For the first time that I've lived in the home, my home theater room is actually comfortable.

While they were doing the work, they mentioned that the blown-in insulation in my attic was in bad shape.  That's certainly true, as it wasn't deep enough to even cover the joists.  I think that I only had about two inches of insulation.  They quoted me a price, which seemed a bit high, so I looked into blowing it in myself since it didn't look like that difficult of a job.  I priced it out from Home Depot, and it ended up being around the same cost as what Parobek offered.  I hired them to do this, too.

The difference with the new insulation was more than I'd expected.  I mean, I know that insulation is important, but I guess I didn't realize just how much of an effect that it had.  I think that they may have overestimated how much insulation that they needed on my quote, because they blew in a LOT of insulation.  It's like waist high.  If I had done it myself, it wouldn't have had as much coverage.  I instantly saw a huge difference in how the temperature in my home varied over the course of a day.  It just sits at the same temperature, whatever I set the thermostat to, without any equipment running.

I have nothing but good things to say about everyone who worked on my home, from the initial tech who came out to repair my system, to the sales team, and the installers.  Everyone was very professional.  I've spent a lot of money with them over the last few months, but now I'm confident that I'll have many years of comfort and lower electric bills.  I'm a very satisfied customer.

Anthony M. came to perform our HVAC service today. He truly understands what it takes to provide excellent customer service. He was very knowledgeable and thorough. He was able to display his expertise in the field by explaining to us how things worked and by showing us live video while in our attic. He did a great job of suggesting items needed for repair or for future additions. We are definitely pleased with his service. Highly recommend requesting Anthony for your next service!!

We woke up to cold water showers. By the time we called them, Parobek was the only one who could come out the next day.  We agreed on a price with Matt, and Terry and Marco were there on the next morning, at 8 o'clock! They were through with the installation by 10! They protected our floors, hauled off the old water heater, and left only neatness behind them! We're very pleased and will call Parobek for any future needs.

I had a great experience with Jarrett R. from Parobek. After experiencing a weird smell coming from our A.C., one company told me I would need to have the coils on my 5 year old unit pulled out and cleaned with acid.
I decided to get a second opinion and contacted Parobek. The office promptly contacted me and scheduled and appointment. Jarrett from Parobek came over to inspect and found no mold/mildew in my unit. He took pictures of everything so I could see what he was seeing, and gave me options on how to move forward. None of the options were to tear my unit apart and clean it with acid. They made valid recommendations, helped answer questions about my unit that were unrelated to my original call, but never tried to scare me to sell me services. It was a great experience and I will be using them going forward.

Jarrett Randle was friendly and helpful. He was honest about an issues I was facing and how It would beat to proceed.

Saved me a ton of money! I was using another company for my A/C work and was leery when they wanted $3000 for mold remediation on a fairly new system. I called Parobek and Anthony went through my system and even took photos to show me that I did not have a mold problem. I already use them for my plumbing, so now they get my A/C work too!

Our house is 99 years old, transported here in the late 70's. Bad fumes were coming from a bathroom sink.

Justin and Charles came out and retrofitted the plumbing to code. At my request, they did a thorough job checking the rest of the existing plumbing to see if that was the only factor or problem.  They put my mind at ease and answered all my questions. They even spotted a minor issue with my own DIY job in the kitchen. They didn't try to upsell on that one, just informed me on what they could do vs what they knew I could do with my existing parts.

Here are the before and after screenshots of the work they corrected. The before work was done by a previous owner, probably late 70's or early 80's. In the after photo, they were able to retrofit in a tight area.

Let me start by saying Parobek and their former Amazing Water have failed all expectations.

Amazing Water - the slick salesmen lied about terms. They sell on of the priciest water softener systems and after two years I am having to pay to fix it.

Parobek - your tech was fine, he was doing his job, he was friendly, but Parobek in general I will never use again. Routine annual maint and inspection results in a repair on my 2 year old water softener system that isn't covered under the warranty because.... What did he say... the water in this area is full of junk

Parobek / Amazing Water know what the quality of water is in my area, that is the reason I looked the their expertise to give me an overpriced system to handle it and yet it's not under warranty. Oh and while they are on site doing a free inspection, why not quote me $300 to replace a $40 rod in my water heater that just requires a wrench

Had my first annual check-up today. I had to have refrigerant added several months ago, before I realized Parobek did HVAC. Found problem that was probably what caused system to shut down the first time. Glad Eugene was so thorough.

Al came out to fix my air conditioner over the Forth of July weekend; he was nice, kind and professional.  He was able to get it back to tip top working shape in no time at all.  I want to thank Al and Parobek for doing above and beyond normal customer service.

Our septic backed up into our master shower,  and we called Parobek to help us.  Brian showed up within 30 to 45 minutes at around 630PM to troubleshoot the issue.  He quoted the job with the 150 after hours fee and 350 to snake the line.  We were fine with that!  This guy worked his a$$ off to try and unclog the line.  He worked on it for 3+ hours and couldn't get it cleared...his equipment was basic and our issue needed some additional resources.  He said he would have to send a crew with different equipment the next day and that we'd be priority as we couldn't use any water until fixed.  Low and behold they showed up at 930 am and fixed this issue promptly.  They waived the emergency fee because Brian didn't solve the issue.  Great group of people,  and our go to plumbers for life!  Thanks, Parobek!

Al was awesome! He thoroughly explained the problem in a way that was easily understood. He also educated me on how the unit works and provided me with preventative measures. By the time Al left I was in good spirits knowing that not only is he extremely knowledgeable about his profession but also because I know I received a fair price.

Used Parobek to install a Rinnai tankless water heater.  Ever since the install the hot water would cut off mid shower.  NOT FUN.  They came out several times and could not identify the problem, told me to call Rinnai.  Called Rinnai and they recommended a Rinnai specialist.  AAA auger came out to fix what Parobek could never identify, and they explained that  unit was never set properly by Parobek from the beginning, (something about dip switches) additionally they never installed a drain hose which could cause condensation back up and short circuit the unit.  I've used Parobek for other issues like drain clogs and they did fine but I would definitely not recommend them for installing water heaters.  I spent a fortune for the install and just spent an additional $350 to get it fixed.  The only reason they are not getting a 1 star is because they have done successful drain clogs in the past.

I had an issue with my AC not cooling properly. I called and same day they a technician, Al Lindsey, out to help. Al was greatly helpful and honest about what he saw and what he was doing. There's always hesitation when concerning a big home appliance or system but rest assured that with Parobek, especially with Al as your technician, you'll be taken care of.

Twice they have come to my place and done an outstanding job, fast, good, professional, friendly and affordable. I'm keeping them on speed dial.

Chase and Marty came out to work on my 87 year old father's heater. It was their 2nd time out in a week. The heater had mysteriously stopped working. (14 year old system). Chase ran through everything again. He noticed a filthy ac/heater filter in my dad's ceiling. He removed it, cleaned the vent, AND VACUUMED my dads floor. WHO DOES THAT?!  He was so kind. He and the company are great communicators. Kristen, who works in the office, called me two times to discuss when Chase and Marty would be over to the house. Kristen called me again within 10 minutes of the guys leaving to ask how the service had been.
My family has used Parobek in the past and has never been let down. If you want exceptional service, these are the folks to call.

We had a previous peroxide and media filtration system replaced with a new Iron Breaker III (Z-OX) and pH neutralization system (Calcite/Corosex) based on one of two recommended options. Michael and his assistant did a great job with the install (well organized; very neat and clean looking).  Michael explained for us the entire system, the functionality and what to expect in clear and simple terms.  Thank you Michael.  Thanks also for lowering the floor toilet flange and resetting our toilet the week or so before given the new tile we just had installed.  In closing, my wife and I continue to be a faithful Parobek customer given their commitment to job excellence and customer satisfaction.  Kudos to the entire staff at Parobek!

These people fixed our clogged toilet after our 2 year old flushed foam letters. They came out twice-both times, I was at work. I came home and the toilet had an extremely weak flush that was accompanied by a loud, big bubble. The weak flush turned into not flushing at all over the weekend. We called them back (since the work was guaranteed for 90 days). The man that came was very short with my husband and acted like it was our fault and made it clear that they wouldn't be coming back. We were disappointed in his behavior since a) we had no idea what was going on and were willing to pay for more work had he just charged us and b) we thought we had found a plumber for all our future problems. The latter reason is big because we are 2 people that don't know anything about plumbing and we have a 2 year old-we will be needing a plumber again.

*I tried not to write this review but once again we are in need of a plumber and I'm reminded how our experience went with Parobek.

I love these guys. I had a plumbing re route through  my attic that went poorly. Paid two other plumbers a LOT of money to try to get it fixed, and I still went a month without hot water in my house, which is hard on your morale, and damaging leaks.

Daniel and Carlo fixed it, in one morning, for less than the other plumbers charged me to NOT fix it. They also laughed at my stupid jokes, and tried very hard to be nice to my incredibly neurotic rescue dog.

I wish I'd gone with them first! Ten stars. I'm going to take the longest shower of my life tonight. :D

We had them come out yesterday to clean & repair our home AC system.  From the phone to the repairs very friendly and professional people.  Very happy with their work & I was not charged one penny over the quoted price. Highly recommend them!

I called Parobek Plumbing to handle my stopped up kitchen sink, and several other issues I had been putting off. Holly scheduled my appointment for the following day, because the 1st freeze had hit and they were swamped. David and Lea actually showed up later than my scheduled time, but were very apologetic about the delay caused by complications in their previous job. Once here, David immediately went to evaluating my to do list. He was very concerned about making sure I knew the cost of each job on my list. Once I had approved the two jobs...unclogging the master bathroom sink as well as the kitchen sink, and stopping the front shower leak, they immediately went to work. They were extremely conscientious of keeping my house clean...donning shoe covers, supplying their own cleaning supplies (paper towels, rags, etc).
 David and Lee were extremely polite and professional.

Came out fast and replaced a water heater element without issue for my wife when I was out of town.

Problem is they charged $300 for a job that took less than an hour. When I questioned them on the price breakdown they refused to give me one.

The reason why they didn't is because they know that a heater element is most commonly less than $20. In rare cases worst case $50. My water heater is not a rare case. It takes ten minutes to change a heater element.

So best case I paid them $250/hour.Worst case $280/hour.  

Way too greedy and expensive Parobek will never get any repeat work from me. There are many other good plumbers in the area with better rates.

Called to schedule an appointment due to the faucet was not working in my kitchen. They were out the next morning as promised. They charge a service fee of $45 to diagnose the problem, is waived if you pay them to resolve the issue. Jason was professional, courteous and was very upfront and thorough with my options. He was able to diagnose and resolve the issue within just a few minutes. He could have easily overcharged me or told me I needed to replace my faucet. I really appreciate his integrity and will definitely call them for any future concerns.

The website states that they do water testing.(bastrop.haguewater.com/w…) The person who asked how she could make me smile when she answered the phone then abruptly said that they do no such thing.. Maybe take that page off your site if you don't in fact do the water testing.. Just a thought.

Total waste of time. I had an appointment for Friday afternoon to get an estimate & install my whole house water filter and kitchen sink RO filter. Due to the flooding, they had to reschedule our appointment for ten following week (not their fault). I had an appointment for the plumber on Wednesday morning at 10:00. At 10:50, they called as I was about to check in and see what the problem was. They said he was held up at a previous job, but was in my area and would be there in an hour. Around noon, I received a call from the plumber that he would be here in 30 minutes. About he arrived a bit before 1:00, and his last name happens to be Parobek.

When he arrived, he tried to talk me into returning the filter that was sitting right there ready to go, so he could sell me one of theirs for $2,000. He also told me that he couldn't install the whole system that day, since there wasn't enough time. He said he could at least put in the kitchen sink RO, but would have to wait until the next day to do the rest. He then walked around the yard to write up the estimate to hook up the whole house system.

After spending about 20 minutes walking around and sitting in his truck, he finally came back to the house to give me my estimate. When he gave me the estimate, he now said he would have to do all the work the next day. I asked him about installing the kitchen sink filter, as he had promised, and he said he didn't have time because he had to go to another job. Not only did I get rescheduled for 5 days after my original appointment, but then I waited around for him to show up 3 hours late, and didn't even get anything done. Not to mention, trying to talk me into returning the system I had already researched & had delivered so he could sell me one of his for an extra $2,000. He did all of this to an extremely pregnant woman with a 2 year old child in the house, by the way.

Terrible experience!

Excellent service from start to finish. They even offered to come out the same day, but I said they could wait until the next day. Chase came the next morning early as promised. He was very friendly and really cared about his work and our home. Price was good as well. Will def use them again and suggest out to anyone who needs some plumbing work done. This is a family company that really cares about the community and their customers.

I needed to replace an in-the-wall, shower mixing valve core that was causing a slow drip from the shower head. I'm pretty handy and have done a lot of plumbing repair or placement work myself. I couldn't get the old plastic core to budge and saw from online that sometimes removal required a special tool or even being drilled out with a specialty bit ... time to call in the professionals.
Speaking to the gentleman at Parobek, he assured me they had the special tools necessary, and would send someone out.
As per the designated time, two very pleasant twenty-something guys (one an apprentice/helper) arrive and assess things first hand. I'm given three estimates based upon what work is required ... $175 for non-drilling removal, $375 for drilling removal, and $600 or so if they need to cut into the backing wall. I told them to go ahead, thinking a professional with the appropriate tools should be able to get it done for the $175.
Turns out their removal tool breaks after they pull and pull for sometime AFTER LEAVING THE CORE RETAINING CLIP IN PLACE... something I even knew to remove during my efforts AND HAD TO POINT OUT TO THEM AFTER THEIR FAILED PULLING EFFORTS. So they had to go to drilling out the core WITH EVERYDAY DRILL BITS.
They finally get the old core removed and replaced with the new one. The valve works without dripping and I am charged $375.
After they leave, I find that after using any water in that bathroom (shower, sink, or toilet) the pipe(s) in the wall rattles - - something that wasn't occurring before them and to which I attribute to their excessive pulling while blockheadedly leaving in the retaining clip!  I didn't call them back on this rattling because I was afraid to find out how they'd want to possibly remedy it ... I don't want my walls torn open.

Called this morning and they were at our house at 2..unfortunately we now have 3 holes cut into our ceiling but was not surprised since our upstairs bathroom was leaking and we weren't sure where..he found (hopefully) the problem and we are back in business which is great since we have 3 active grandchildren visiting! Thanks!

My outdoor gas fireplace wouldn't light. I discovered, after having a gas fireplace company out who couldn't fix the problem, that I needed to call a plumber. Charlie at Parobek Plumbing came out to assess the situation. He made several different house calls, trying different things and persevered until he got the fireplace to work. It took him working with the manufacturer of certain parts, etc-- lots of complications-- to get it working.  I am so grateful to him for solving the issues and getting it to work. Although plumbers are expensive, as we all know, it was his willingness to do what it took to fix the problem, with multiple service calls, that made the cost seem reasonable. I highly recommend Parobek Plumbing.

Very friendly, efficient people, attentive to all problems mentioned and prompt to accommodate their customers. They were very quick at pointing out some minor problems to us that could lead eventually to major problems. We will be using them again very soon to upgrade our bathrooms. We really appreciate Parobek Plumbing for their effectiveness and their workmanship.

This is a difficult decision between two and three stars. After a visit to provide an estimate for the installation of a filter/softner system it took three calls to get them to schedule an installation date. The installer arrived on the scheduled day (Thursday) but forgot the drain line piping to run the recharge as provided in the work offer. He said he would return the following day to run and bury the line.  Over three weeks later it took a call asking to speak with owner to get the installer to return to complete the job. When he arrived he had the piping, but did not have any connectors so he said he would bring them tomorrow and complete the job. Now it is three days later and still no connectors and no completed job. While I feel the equipment is working well, I will probably not call them for any follow-up work because I don't feel it is my responsibility to hound a service company to get them to complete their work properly.
