Best Plumbing Services in Columbus, OH
Have used twice and each time did a thorough job. Came out, gave detailed quote, purchased parts and returned to fix. No issues with any of the repairs

I called Best because they did the original plumbing work on my house when it was built, and I had a pipe-bursting emergency to deal with. The guy who came out, Dennis, was very nice and knowledgeable. Once he had the right tools (he had to break down into my house's slab to get to the bottom of the pipe break) he was able to fix the issue in 20 minutes. Even with a Sunday emergency call, the price was very affordable.
I'd have given 5 stars but the office he worked out of had broken equipment and so the tools he needed weren't available. I'd like to see the company verify their equipment so techs aren't left without the things they need to get jobs done.

Giving them 4 only because I didn't actually hire them, sadly. One of the plumbers came over and gave me a quote. I got a great feeling and knew he knew what he was talking about. I've dealt with plenty of contractors before. However, my husband wanted to get a few quotes and went with the 'cheapest' guy. Turned out, I really wish I had worked with them and had water with enough and appropriate pressure for my laundry sink!

I was at the end of my rope with Columbia Gas. They moved my meter last week and after doing so, my house lines were no longer holding pressure. The lines had been tested immediately prior to the replacement of the new meter and they were fine. When the tech came to restart gas service, there was a massive leak. The Columbia Gas tech guys just shrugged, said house lines. Your problem and left. This was Friday night and we'd been without gas for three days already. On Saturday morning, I got on Yelp and found some good reviews for Mike of All Lines Plumbing. I called. He answered! On a Saturday. He was at another job nearby. Within two hours, he was at my home. He gave me a price and I agreed. He got to work right away! I was planning for Monday at best! He worked taking my lines apart until after 10:00 that night. (We live in an old home and have miles of line.) he explained the process of putting the lines back together piece by piece and testing with each addition. He quickly realized that the problem was at the meter. Today, he was back, putting it back together. Piece by piece. My lines hold pressure perfectly now and Columbia will be getting the bill (minus the extra $100 I threw in for the great service, professionalism and courtesy. I also felt that the job had been underpriced at the beginning and he spent A LOT of time here). As he put the lines back together, he swapped out old valves for new ones explains that they don't last forever. He even saw an issue with some flexible tubing on my furnace that was not bonded and switched it out for pipe. I think he added ten bucks for that. If you can find a good plumber, you're lucky. And we feel very lucky to have found Mike through Yelp. He's not looking to scare you or rip you off. He's looking to make an honest living...and it appears that he sees every job as a puzzle that he gets to put together. His upbeat disposition gave me the idea that he likes what he does and likes to solve problems for others. We are going to have him come put in a water heater at another property very soon. Thanks!

Happy with the quality of work!
I scheduled Muse Pluming to fix a leaking toilet & kitchen faucet.
The bottom of our toilet was leaking. Rob, their plumber had to remove the toilet, add an extension pipe up from the basement then reset the toilet. This was a major project! He did a great job, kept the mess to a minimum and totally cleaned up after himself.
Kitchen faucet was leaking around the base which I figured would have to replace. Rob suggested just replacing the cartridge in the faucet instead of replacing it. It took him just all of 15 minutes to do just that. Works like new! He saved me over $75 in just the faucet alone.
I will definitely hire them again for any plumbing issues.

Recommend Jim Virgin, owner of J&S Plumbing. Had a leaking shower valve, drip drip, drip. Jim came in assessed the situation and promptly went into repair mode. He ended up ripping out some of the pex line to remove the valve and retighten the fitting that was leaking. He then replaced it with copper. No more dripping!. The price he charged for 2 hrs service, and parts was more than fair. Went out of his way to reassemble the shower hardware and test the system to look for additional leaks,. Thankfully none were found

Saved $1500 on a new furnace over the quote of two larger companies who advertise heavily. Great service and quick install.

Wuth a few geeat referrals, we called Jack Woods Plumbing after our hot water heater wasn't working and resetting didn't help. Within moments of telling the worker the brand, year and model of the heater he had a very good idea of the problem. He showed up with the suspected part needed and sure enough, it just needed a new flame igniter as he thought. Jack Woods Plumbing was quick, efficient and very friendly. I would definitely recommend anyone needing a plumber to call them!

Called for an a/c repair. They were quick and thorough. The final cost was $100 less than the estimate which was nice too.
Had been trying for over 1 week to use a national a/c company and they were more interested in selling a new unit than repairing our current unit.

I recently used Old Hilliard Plumbing for our leaky shower. I really liked them compared to the other companies we got estimates from. They completed the job under the estimate they quoted and were the lowest estimate of the three companies. When I let them know there was a problem after they left, they came out and fixed it free of charge. I will definitely use them again should I ever need a plumber.

I have used Plain City Plumbing multiple times and I love them. It's always an emergency or last minute request and they have accommodated me every time! Sarah in the office is always very pleasant and super responsive. Today's emergency was a burned up sump pump. They came out the same day and solved the problem. They offered multiple solutions and I decided to go with a replacement based on the age of the existing pump. I have always been very satisfied with their service and won't hesitate to use them in the future and recommend them to others.

Look no further for a plumber! Weeks Plumbing is absolutely exceptional. They are friendly, honest, professional and expertly repaired my leaking water mainline at a fair price. Very impressive indeed!

Useless. Had a leaky outside faucet and kitchen faucet is loose - just needs tightened. Dude from Calhoun comes over, looks at the outside faucet, says 'I can't help ya buddy'. So I said 'can you tighten the kitchen faucet?' He says 'oh that needs a special tool, I think I have one in the truck'. Comes back in and gets under the faucet and looks around and after a while I got another 'I can't help ya buddy'. I just thanked him and he left. I guess the dude was having a bad day?! WTF
Anyhoo got an appointment with EcoPlumbers; hopefully they can help.

This is a difficult review to write because I really want to have positive things to say about my business interactions with American Leak Detection of Columbus. The people I spoke to over the phone and the representatives who came to my house to assess my pool were very professional, extremely polite, personable, and quite friendly. My initial impressions were all exceptionally positive and honestly I still think highly of those people. I should also preface that my experience was skewed by a torrent of personal tragedy and loss faced by the owner of this franchise establishment so it may not be entirely representative of what other people can expect. All that said, ultimately my experience with American Leak Detection of Columbus was quite poor.
I had them come out to assess some fairly major damage a pool cleaner had done to my pool. I knew going into it that I'd have to pay about $300 for them to come out, assess the damage and decide if it was work they'd be willing to take on. They were very up front about it and it was money I was willing to pay given the nature of the damage. Things at this point were still going well. Due to some disputes with the insurance company of the cleaner who damaged our pool it took me several weeks to reply to their estimate and sign it for them. From there they needed to a second more expensive assessment costing me just north of $500. For all intents and purposes it seemed pretty similar to that first assessment except they also tested our skimmer line which also needed to be repaired. At the time this was an investment in getting my pool fixed and I was happy to pay it. However after this visit was when we started having problems. I waited two weeks to hear back from them again before calling to see if they had come up with a plan to repair my pool. They told me they'd been kicking around a lot of ideas but hadn't come up with a plan they felt was best for my situation. The circumstances of my indoor pool are such that I felt this was reasonable and I hoped to hear from them soon. I called again a week later to see if they'd made progress and this time I was told the owner was suffering from tragedy compounded by loss right as the holiday season was approaching. I'm sympathetic to this, I'd certainly be in no shape to handle business decisions under such circumstances myself, but part of the reason I went with American Leak Detection and paid their slightly high assessment fees is because I knew they were a franchise of a larger business and I assumed that meant to some extent that the larger American Leak Detection entity would be responsible. To have everything rest on the shoulders of one man to the point that they're unable to conduct business is a major problem for an entity the size of American Leak Detection.
Because of the situation with the pool cleaner's insurance company I was forced to pressure them a little for an estimate, flat out telling them that if they couldn't provide me with something I could present the insurance company I'd have to go with someone else. So they submitted the most basic possible bid with a slew of caveats about how they couldn't guarantee the work, that it may not be successful should they attempt it, and some rather large mischaracterizations about the state of the damage to my pool. It seemed almost designed to drive away my business and ultimately I was forced to seek out another contractor which was an unexpectedly arduous process.
So I've paid upwards $800 to have them come out and look twice only to have them not do the work because they weren't capable of handing it. The whole affair has left a rather bad taste in my mouth and while circumstances may well have changed since my experience with them I'd certainly caution potential customers to think twice before engaging their services.
