Best Plumbing Services in Columbus, OH
Randy came out to to replace a defective outdoor spigot and was running early and called to see if he could arrive early and unfortunately there was just no way I could make it earlier than planned today. No problem he said, he'd attempt another job and be out later. When he arrived, he assessed the situation and had it completely replaced / repaired within a half hour. He was very professional, courteous and even offered to use the parts I had purchased to repair to keep cost down. All in all, a great experience. They were recommended to me by my parents and I would not hesitate to recommend them to someone else looking for a good, reasonable plumber.

They did all the plumbing in our house. Standard stuff...what's superior is their Service. Mark, the service Manager is the best out there. He really knows his stuff and if you have an issue, he'll resolve it quicker than anybody. The man is a plumbing Genius!

Giving them 4 only because I didn't actually hire them, sadly. One of the plumbers came over and gave me a quote. I got a great feeling and knew he knew what he was talking about. I've dealt with plenty of contractors before. However, my husband wanted to get a few quotes and went with the 'cheapest' guy. Turned out, I really wish I had worked with them and had water with enough and appropriate pressure for my laundry sink!

I had a frozen pipe situation in my home in January. It is a bi-level and the bathrooms are in the upper level. There were repairs done in the bathrooms and in the first level.
I called up this company and since they were available the same day I asked them to start fixing it. I discovered their hourly rate was exorbitant ($87.50), but since he started fixing it, I thought I will let him do the job. It took him about 10 visits over more than a month to fix it and it cost me around $1668 from mid Jan to mid Februrary, 2015.
He did the last part of the job in extreme hurry. He did not put the toilet in the master bathroom correctly (hard to see from inside the bathroom) and he did not fix the leaking faucet (since it was dripping at the back - again hard to see) in the master bathroom. This resulted in water leaking into a space in the ceiling above the garage. But since I do not use that bathroom very frequently, it took me till April 2015 to notice that there was blackening in the ceiling of the garage, just below the master bathroom. Then I could trace back the problems.
When he was finishing up in February, there were other minor things that he did not finish properly - but I got so exhausted that I said I will take care of those small issues - like missing skutchings in 3 places, damaged paint at two places in the hall bathroom.
I have been trying to call him since April 2015. I must have called 50 times and sent 20 text messages over the last 3 months. I got hold of him only once in April and he asked me to call back later that day, which he of course did not respond. So right now, he does not even pick up my phone or respond to my text messages.
Being a licensed plumber, I thought I can rely on him for the job. Since I have paid him for the full job, I expected him to do it properly.

After calling another plumbing company that quote me extremely high price and not be able to do the Job, I called Muse plumbing and next day my issue was taking care of, took 30 mins to fixed the issue that previously I was told that would take 2hrs. I would recommend 100%

Recommend Jim Virgin, owner of J&S Plumbing. Had a leaking shower valve, drip drip, drip. Jim came in assessed the situation and promptly went into repair mode. He ended up ripping out some of the pex line to remove the valve and retighten the fitting that was leaking. He then replaced it with copper. No more dripping!. The price he charged for 2 hrs service, and parts was more than fair. Went out of his way to reassemble the shower hardware and test the system to look for additional leaks,. Thankfully none were found

We just moved in to a new house and called The Local Plumber. Trevor, he is a wonderful guy. Helped us with out plumbing issue, and was helpful in finding some other sevices too. He truly is local. He is a neighbor and a plumber. You can't do better. I highly recommend.

When our hot water heater died after the May 2020 flooding, Wheeland Plumbing came out soon after we called to install a new one. Because of Covid-19, the tech wore a mask. He also wore booties and adhered to our request that he go directly to and from the basement and not be near us. This was a stressful time, and we are grateful to Wheeland Plumbing for providing such quick, excellent service to restore our hot water.

West Jeff was recommended to us by friends. As a family owned company, they were very honest and straightforward to work with and their quote was 30% lower than the big name outfit we used to work with. Nice brand name Lennox equipment, well installed, no pressure or sales gimmicks.
The installation was handled promptly and professionally by factory trained installers.
Highly recommend.

It turned out that I got the wrong storm door. Nonetheless the guy who came out was very understanding about the expense of two visits and made us a deal to get the work done with the second and right door. For this I was very appreciative. And, he did a great job on install. Five stars!

Disappointing. Used them several times and been happy. Called about 4 months ago because the drain hose on my washer had been leaking. The guy came out, looked at it, said let me run to Home Depot to buy the part I need, came back and fixed it. One call and done. Same issue happened again a couple of weeks ago. The Plumber came out, said, yes, it's leaking. I can't do anything about it. -- I said - wait, you guys fixed it a few weeks back and that plumber from your same company could take care of it. Why can't you? He said, you will need to order the part (drain hose) from an appliance company and call me back when it's in to install. (I went to home depot myself, bought the hose and installed it myself -- even though I had no time to do so). Fast forward to last Friday. Bill comes in the mail for his house call! ARE YOU KIDDING? Why would I pay that? He didn't fix it. When I called for an appointment I told them very clearly what the issue was and they accepted the appointment. I feel like they were just showing up to collect a check. Never again.

This company is totally unreliable and rude in the process! Do not call them if you want good service.

I called Muetzel Plumbing based on Angela's (Yelp) review and the business distance to my house. I had a kitchen sink drain that went from slow to zero and that's a problem.
Because of the holidays I had to schedule a few days in advance. Originally scheduled as the second stop of the day, it got bumped to the first call (7:00-8:30am) somehow. That was OK though because I got a reminder call the day before the visit with an update.
Two guys showed up with a company cargo van that looked like the SWAT team had arrived. They were very polite and respectful, putting plastic covers on their shoes when coming in from the snow. I got an estimate, agreed to it, and they successfully snaked out my drain. They even placed a mat under their equipment to protect the floor. About 30 minutes later I was back in business. Now it drains as well as it ever has.
On the way out I was told that snaking the drain is not guaranteed but to call if there is a problem. They were polite, professional and reasonably priced. They also arrived exactly when they said they would (!).
Because of that I will call them again the next time I need a plumber.
Update: A couple days later I tightened a connection that was dripping slightly. Sink still draining well three weeks later.
Update 2 (one year later): My sink still drains as well as the day they cleared it and I have had zero drainage problems in the year following their visit. :^)

I recently used Old Hilliard Plumbing for our leaky shower. I really liked them compared to the other companies we got estimates from. They completed the job under the estimate they quoted and were the lowest estimate of the three companies. When I let them know there was a problem after they left, they came out and fixed it free of charge. I will definitely use them again should I ever need a plumber.

Our water heater sprung a huge leak and we needed to have it replaced. It was, of course, just a few weeks out of warranty. We called a lot of places to gather info, but Plain City was the only company that offered to come out and assess the situation....to see if there was any way they could save us money by doing a repair rather than a replacement. The owner came out himself. It ended up still needing a replacement, and Plain City had the best communication with us. We ended up going with them even though they didn't have the lowest price, because they were trustworthy. Again, the owner came out and did all the work himself. He arrived when he said he would and took the time he said he would take. The work was completed on time, and he left the area clean. A really nice company that I would not hesitate to use again.

We had a severely clogged toilet with a suspected toy being the problem. Service techs were very polite and worked quickly to discover the issue. Turns out we needed a new toilet. Back within a few days to install one we purchased ourselves to save some $$. When I thought maybe I still had an issue a few days after the work was completed, they came right back out and explained what the issue was (wasn't related to the original work done) and didn't charge me for the follow up and maintained their friendly, professional attitude throughout the process. I will definitely call them back for any future issues and would recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber!

I had used Calhoun before at my previous house and they had done an ok job. Maybe cost a bit much, but ok. As a handyman I only really call a plumber for when it gets bad. Well, my new place has 40 year old plumbing and has started to get some pinhole leaks in the copper pipes. Long story short, they found a leak after six days, they fixed what they thought the leak was, didn't bother checking to find the SECOND leak right below it, then upcharged me 300-400% for parts I didn't get an estimate for.
Longer version:
- Saw slow leak coming from ceiling, called Calhoun Friday, they couldn't come out until Monday.
- Monday comes, guy opens up ceiling more (it was already partially open at that point. Can't find the leak, says it's in the wall upstairs and he'll have to come back Thursday to look for it (six days after original call). I asked that he calls before coming Thursday since I have work meetings.
- Thursday comes, they don't call and show up in the middle of a work meeting, so I am distracted and can't watch or ask questions.
- About an hour and a half later, the guy says they're done. He put the toilet back on for whatever reason (I need to take that off to fix the wall, so why would you put it back on?). I write a check for what I assumed was mostly labor, since it was just a few small parts and there were two guys here.
- Later, I get an itemized receipt, and notice how high the parts cost seems, and how much extra I was billed for (new closet bolts for the toilet, even though that toilet was installed just last year and the bolts should have been fine. New caps. Sharkbite connections instead of soldered copper replacements). I call, and lady on phone gives me some stupid excuse for that being the set price because they get it from a supplier.
- I hadn't touched the bathroom to this point since I wasn't looking forward to the drywall/tile repair, not to mention taking out the toilet they put back in without checking with me. So I just now notice that a second elbow is leaking still. So they didn't actually fix the whole problem?
So $466.63 later, I have two giant holes and a huge mess to clean up, and my pipes are still leaking. But at least I have a professionally installed toilet? Give me a break... Next time I'll just shut off the water in my house and wait for a different company.
Oh, and due to their 4% mandatory fee for paying by card, I payed by check, so I can't even dispute it.

Very bad service, worked on our pool, no project oversight, constant arguments, no schedule to be finished, agreed on work the day before and every time they deviated cutting corners and caused damage they are refusing to fix, Plumbing work (which they should know how to do) was very strange and didn't work... do they understand how pressure works? Plumbing had to be redone. Still no schedule to finish, not returning calls. Avoid if possible
