George & John were awesome. They came out very quickly to respond to a leak that we found in our ceiling. After checking out 2nd floor laundry, they exhausted all options before having to cut into the ceiling of the first floor, where the leak was somewhat contained. When I was in Johnstown a few months ago for a wedding, there was a plumbing emergency at our family friends' house.  They were so busy with the event planning that I took it upon myself to call in some help.  Jim and Sherri at Best Plumbing sent over a team to get our pipes cleared before the problems overflowed into the rest of the weekend plans.  We appreciated their expertise and reasonable pricing, as well as their willingness to come over and get things done at somewhat odd hours.  Thank you!

After a cold winter night we had some pipes burst in the home as well as a shower valve break. I woke up to water flooding my home's add on room and water basically raining from the basement ceiling. We gave these guys a call and they had sent someone with just a couple of hours (which is great considering how many other people might have experienced the same things and reached out to them that day). Mike and Shawn showed up and quickly identified the issue and was able to fix the problems very quickly. They had me taken care of quickly and the best part was the low price. Would def work with these guys again.

I had a frozen pipe situation in my home in January. It is a bi-level and the bathrooms are in the upper level. There were repairs done in the bathrooms and in the first level.

I called up this company and since they were available the same day I asked them to start fixing it.  I discovered their hourly rate was exorbitant ($87.50), but since he started fixing it, I thought I will let him do the job. It took him about 10 visits over more than a month to fix it and it cost me around $1668 from mid Jan to mid Februrary, 2015.

He did the last part of the job in extreme hurry. He did not put the toilet in the master bathroom correctly (hard to see from inside the bathroom) and he did not fix the leaking faucet (since it was dripping at the back - again hard to see) in the master bathroom. This resulted in water leaking into a space in the ceiling above the garage. But since I do not use that bathroom very frequently, it took me till April 2015 to notice that there was blackening in the ceiling of the garage, just below the master bathroom. Then I could trace back the problems.

When he was finishing up in February, there were other minor things that he did not finish properly - but I got so exhausted that I said I will take care of those small issues - like missing skutchings in 3 places, damaged paint at two places in the hall bathroom.

I have been trying to call him since April 2015. I must have called 50 times and sent 20 text messages over the last 3 months. I got hold of him only once in April and he asked me to call back later that day, which he of course did not respond. So right now, he does not even pick up my phone or respond to my text messages.

Being a licensed plumber, I thought I can rely on him for the job. Since I have paid him for the full job, I expected him to do it properly.

Fast, efficient repair done inside of 15 minutes ... located in old village Pickerington just south of Lockville and Columbus St .. the repair was done on a house on N East St quickly replacing J bend tube under bathroom sink ... we had struggled to fix it ourselves because one metal end was corroded and neither end had threads going into J ...total cost including J part was $89.50.  They showed up on day expected and earlier than expected with notification... excellent communications.

Recommend Jim Virgin, owner of J&S Plumbing.  Had a leaking shower valve, drip drip, drip.  Jim came in assessed the situation and promptly went into repair mode.  He ended up ripping out some of the pex line to remove the valve and retighten the fitting that was leaking.  He then replaced it with copper. No more dripping!. The price he charged for 2 hrs service,and parts was more than fair. Went out of his way to reassemble the shower hardware and test the system to look for additional leaks,. Thankfully none were found

Trevor is just one of the best!! We had some serious pipe damage between Christmas and New Year's and we'd worked with him in the past for some other plumbing jobs, so we messaged him and his response was nearly immediate. He's fast, reliable, on time always, and FAIR with his pricing. He got our plumbing woes fixed in what honestly felt like no time, and he helped us understand not only how we got to where we were in the first place, but how what he did would prevent it from occurring again. I cannot recommend him and this awesome local business enough!! When in doubt, go local, call the local plumber; you won't regret a second.

When our hot water heater died after the May 2020 flooding, Wheeland Plumbing came out soon after we called to install a new one. Because of Covid-19, the tech wore a mask. He also wore booties and adhered to our request that he go directly to and from the basement and not be near us. This was a stressful time, and we are grateful to Wheeland Plumbing for providing such quick, excellent service to restore our hot water.

From the quote to the install, this company has been fantastic to work with!  The owner did my quote - zero pressure, no gimmicks. The quote was the most competitive priced quote we received.

Scheduling was a breeze, the crew arrived at 8:45, as promised, on the nose!  Two super professional installers, extremely nice, took down our old hot water heater and furnace and reinstalled new, cleaned up after themselves, walked us through everything.

Just fabulous!  Highly recommend!

I can't say enough good things about the tech, Chris George, that came to do some plumbing at our house. There ended up being a problem and he came back and made it right. Great guy!

I will never recommend anyone to deal with this company.  They charged me for a job that is still not done. My bathroom is leaking ans it leaks all the way downstairs to the ceiling into my dining room table. They came and claimed have fixed the problem and the same say they left we took a shower. More water came down,  even more than before. I called the company and spoke to the Manager Rex who sent another technician to see what the problem was.  The second technician came and inspected only to realize that nothing was fixed on my problem and informed us that the 1st technician who came was never supposed to give us the quote since it's a drywall problem and not a plumber issue. Therefore they charged is on a job they didn't do. The water is still leaking. We called the company again ans John Rehark and Rex have been giving us a run around and eventually Rex the Manager hanged up the phone on my husband and never attempted to call and resolve this issue. I do not recommend this company to anyone unless you want to be taken advantage of. This is not right and I barely post but this i had to do.

Dave came from  a social setting on Sunday afternoon, installed a stop so we could have water and committed and kept appointment for next day.  Exceptional service. Helpful wife an added bonus.

Let me first say I've used Muetzel in the past.  I had them come over and do some emergency repairs to my bathroom sink.  The drain works fine now, but it came at a pretty expensive price of $600.  Whatever.  They came over and did the repairs and it worked.  While they were at my house, I had them also prepare an estimate for installing some new water lines to a new kitchen sink and a new laundry room sink and washer box.  The plumber took his good old time preparing the estimate, measuring everything and writing down every single part.  It took about 1.5 hours to complete his estimate, which I thought was a little excessive.  About 2 months later, they finally called with a quote.  I had called and called and asked about the estimate before and they kept telling me they were working on it.  When they finally gave me the estimate, it ended up being $2000 more than another local plumber who had already completed the work.

About 2 years later, I thought I'd give Muetzel another try.  I called a few days ago to schedule an estimate to run a gas line to my new fireplace.  They told me they could send someone out Wednesday between 7:30 and 8am.  I thought, great!  I can wait for them and still get to work at a decent time.  Well, Wednesday rolled around and I waited and waited.  At about 8:15, I called to notify them their plumber was late.  They told me he was on another job and they would give me a call when he's 30-minutes away.  I waited until 9am and called them to tell them I will no longer be using their service.  If they can't give me a courtesy call to tell me their plumber would be at least 2 hours late, then they can take their business somewhere else.

Avoid Muetzel.

My husband and I have used them multiple times with good results.  Last Sunday our disposal went out.  I called them Monday and was told they probably couldn't come that day.  I told them that was fine since I was off on Wednesday.  The owner gave me the range of cost for installing with the disposal.  I told m what we wanted and he said they'd be there between 8-8:30.  The serviceman arrived around 8:35 brought a roll of paper towels in case he dropped water and made a mess, was courteous and did the job.  I would highly recommend.

I have used Plain City Plumbing multiple times and I love them.  It's always an emergency or last minute request and they have accommodated me every time!  Sarah in the office is always very pleasant and super responsive.  Today's emergency was a burned up sump pump.  They came out the same day and solved the problem.  They offered multiple solutions and I decided to go with a replacement based on the age of the existing pump.  I have always been very satisfied with their service and won't hesitate to use them in the future and recommend them to others.

Look no further for a plumber! Weeks Plumbing is absolutely exceptional. They are friendly, honest, professional and expertly repaired my leaking water mainline at a fair price. Very impressive indeed!

Calhoun has become my go-to plumber for those inevitable house things that come up. They are courteous and organized, from answering the phone right away to arriving on time for appointments. They fit me in right away when I had a slow leak in my basement. More than that, they seem to actually CARE about their work. For example, when the plumber was fixing a line to my dishwasher under the sink, he tightened up my disposal because he just happened to notice it was loose. When I had a separate issue two weeks later, they waived the $45 service call because they had been here so recently. I appreciate honest and trustworthy service people--Calhoun is a winner!

This is a difficult review to write because I really want to have positive things to say about my business interactions with American Leak Detection of Columbus. The people I spoke to over the phone and the representatives who came to my house to assess my pool were very professional, extremely polite, personable, and quite friendly. My initial impressions were all exceptionally positive and honestly I still think highly of those people. I should also preface that my experience was skewed by a torrent of personal tragedy and loss faced by the owner of this franchise establishment so it may not be entirely representative of what other people can expect. All that said, ultimately my experience with American Leak Detection of Columbus was quite poor.

I had them come out to assess some fairly major damage a pool cleaner had done to my pool. I knew going into it that I'd have to pay about $300 for them to come out, assess the damage and decide if it was work they'd be willing to take on. They were very up front about it and it was money I was willing to pay given the nature of the damage. Things at this point were still going well. Due to some disputes with the insurance company of the cleaner who damaged our pool it took me several weeks to reply to their estimate and sign it for them. From there they needed to a second more expensive assessment costing me just north of $500. For all intents and purposes it seemed pretty similar to that first assessment except they also tested our skimmer line which also needed to be repaired. At the time this was an investment in getting my pool fixed and I was happy to pay it. However after this visit was when we started having problems. I waited two weeks to hear back from them again before calling to see if they had come up with a plan to repair my pool. They told me they'd been kicking around a lot of ideas but hadn't come up with a plan they felt was best for my situation. The circumstances of my indoor pool are such that I felt this was reasonable and I hoped to hear from them soon. I called again a week later to see if they'd made progress and this time I was told the owner was suffering from tragedy compounded by loss right as the holiday season was approaching. I'm sympathetic to this, I'd certainly be in no shape to handle business decisions under such circumstances myself, but part of the reason I went with American Leak Detection and paid their slightly high assessment fees is because I knew they were a franchise of a larger business and I assumed that meant to some extent that the larger American Leak Detection entity would be responsible. To have everything rest on the shoulders of one man to the point that they're unable to conduct business is a major problem for an entity the size of American Leak Detection.

Because of the situation with the pool cleaner's insurance company I was forced to pressure them a little for an estimate, flat out telling them that if they couldn't provide me with something I could present the insurance company I'd have to go with someone else. So they submitted the most basic possible bid with a slew of caveats about how they couldn't guarantee the work, that it may not be successful should they attempt it,  and some rather large mischaracterizations about the state of the damage to my pool. It seemed almost designed to drive away my business and ultimately I was forced to seek out another contractor which was an unexpectedly arduous process.

So I've paid upwards $800 to have them come out and look twice only to have them not do the work because they weren't capable of handing it. The whole affair has left a rather bad taste in my mouth and while circumstances may well have changed since my experience with them I'd certainly caution potential customers to think twice before engaging their services.
