These guys are wonderful. They know what they are doing and are not out to rip people off, like some electricians are. They have done both small and large jobs on our house and we were very happy with both. Answered all of our questions very thoroughly and gave us a fair estimate on everything. Jess Howard sent over the best electrician to fix multiple electric issues in our new house. They were the fourth electrical company we had come to our house. Second experience not too good. Called and sent over materials to arrange an on site estimate. No response received. Called and asked about the estimate and was told that the email was received and that someone would contact me. No response back.

After four days, I emailed that I was going to use someone else. The next day I got an apologetic email explaining that they got really busy and appreciated me advising that the job was no longer needed.

A few suggestions.

1. Acknowledge inquiries. Little as frustrating as emailing a business into a black hole. A simple response saying the email was received does wonders.

2. If within 24 hours, you can't provide a substantive response on next steps, again, follow up with a communication. Nothing says customer indifference like not communicating. Be proactive - don't make the customer chase.

3. If you are too busy, again let the customer know that the request is going to take some time and give the customer an option to accept that or look elsewhere. Again, time is valuable to each of us. Lost days matter when waiting for a response. Act professionally even when the job can't be done and customers will remember. Blow them off and all that is left is a sour taste.

Needed a couple of simple fixes and they were great on getting me scheduled quickly. Highly recommend

What an exceptional business to work with!! From the first moment I looked up Higher Power Electric, they were so easy to work with the schedule an initial consultation within the week. John was very honest and open with his advise for how to upgrade our outdoor business lighting so that it was most effective, and he even took a drawing of our building plan so that he could provide a detailed proposal for our lighting. I want to say a big thank you to Lyle, Eric, and Jim who performed our installation -- they walked me through everything and answered any and all questions I had. Quite possibly the nicest people I have ever met.  Our heat went out on Wednesday and we made the mistake of calling another repairman first.  After waiting a few days for a response we finally called Riley Electrical Services.  We only wish we would have called them first. They were at our house within an hour of our call and set to work fixing the mistakes that the other repairman made.  We ended up needing a new furnace and they helped us make a decision that we felt comfortable with, that also didn't break our bank. While we were waiting for our replacement furnace we were called twice in the morning just so he could check up on how we were holding up with no heat.  He came today and installed our furnace and we couldn't be happier. If you need any work done, don't call anyone else (trust us!) call Riley Electrical Services, you won't be disappointed!

I've been using R&T for the past 4 years with my very old home and they have always been great. I've had a few different techs come out and they have always been polite and informative while I ask a million questions.

I should have known better after reading some of the other Yelp reviews.  However, I took a chance and scheduled an appointment a couple of days in advance.  I was assured that an electrician would arrive between noon and 2:00 p.m. on the day of my appointment.   At 12:05 p.m., I called just to confirm my appointment.  I was assured that it was still set and they would be here.

However, around 1:30 p.m., they called and said they got caught up on other jobs and would not come after all.  They said they would try to come the next day, but that did not work for my schedule.

I told them I would find a more reliable company to do my work.  I am sick and tired of service providers who overbook, over-promise, and under-deliver!

I called back and asked for contact information for their corporate office.  I was told that this is a franchise and there is a complicated series of steps necessary to reach someone in authority.  I was not surprised.

If you are looking for an unprofessional and unreliable service provider, Mr. Electric is for you.  If not, look elsewhere.

Our kitchen ceiling light had a short in the unit. 'At Your Service Heating, Cooling, & Home Repairs' came to our rescue.  After a referral from a friend and one telephone call, Mr. Robert Jones (sole proprietor), showed up ,on time,  and did wonderful  job replacing our ceiling light fixture.
Mr. Jones was very friendly and because of his professional work ethic, I will have him come to my home again, if I find myself in need of a competent  contractor.

It turned out that I got the wrong storm door. Nonetheless the guy who came out was very understanding about the expense of two visits and made us a deal to get the work done with the second and right door. For this I was very appreciative. And, he did a great job on install. Five stars!
