Our heat went out last night. We called R-Chee this morning and they came right over within the hour. They were very nice and helpful. R-Chee took care of our issue and we are back in business. The house is heating up as we speak. Pricing were also very reasonable. I highly recommend them and we will be repeat customers always!

The Drain Guy of Cambridge, MA - will now be for us, after going thru a variety of plumbing and drain rooter services, our go to.  Everyone, from the answering service, to the man who got right back to us, to Patrick - who came out within the hour to service our kitchen drain were courteous and professional and only charged a very reasonable flat rate which they quoted up front, with no additional service charges.  Our drain was very clogged, and required extra time of examining from the basement, yet Patrick was careful to volunteer to check the washing machine, to make sure that the unclogging of the kitchen line did not back it up.  And - bottom line, we saved $300 from the last service we had of a house drain.  Totally awesome company!

When our sewer pipe backed up for the third time in two weeks, I knew I was dealing with an expensive emergency. I was beyond grateful that an hour after I first called Aruda's number, Kevin was at the house to examine the video, assess what needed to be done, get the permits from the city, and give us a firm, and reasonable, bid on the job. The big job was completed in a day. Highly recommended.

I called this plumber based on the great reviews here. I left a message and never got a call back.  I called again two days later and got voice mail again (which doesn't specify it's for a business), and I just gave up.  Disappointing.

I discovered a major leak under my sink on a Friday night after washing dishes.  Luckily it only leaked when I ran water in the sink, so I knew I could wait until Saturday morning to call a plumber.  I was sure I would have to pay a premium for Saturday service, but noticed that Mr. Gomes had Saturday hours.  I called around 10am, and he said he could be right over.  Since I had an appointment at noon, we decided on a 2pm instead.  He diagnosed the problem over the phone (rusted out garbage disposal), walked me through getting the model number off the disposal, and said he would pick one up on the way.  After arriving promptly at 2pm, he confirmed the problem was the rusted disposal, and they had the new one installed in under about an hour.  He also fixed my slightly leaky faucet.  The final cost matched his estimate, and he left the area clean.

Professional and personable, I will definitely use him again for any plumbing (or heating and cooling) needs.

This is a review for the Boston Drain in Dorchester.

The first time I used Boston Drain, I was really happy with them - our toilet was overflowing into our basement and the plumber who came out was extremely nice and thorough, and figured out that our neighbors were flushing baby wipes down their toilet (never flush baby wipes!!) and clogging our street's sewer line (this is after we paid our regular plumber $300+ to snake the toilet just to have it overflow again).

That was about a year and a half ago. This summer, we decided to install a sump pump in our basement because we were having issues with water in our basement after heavy rain. I called Boston Drain twice over a period of about a month and the woman I spoke to said that the plumber who installed sump pumps would give me a call to set up an appointment. Well, that never happened and we just got a ton of water in the basement. I'm disappointed because I was really happy with them when they came out before but they seem to have some customer service issues. Won't be calling them again.

Nice guys. Great communication. They come when they say they will, and are great about explaining their recommendations. I've never once felt like I'm getting the run-around (which I can't say about the plumbers I've used previously). It's nice to not have to dread calling the plumber!

I cannot say enough about our great experience with Ken and Absolute Precision. Ken is a pro in every way. They installed our HVAC mini split system after giving us a prompt and fair estimate. They completed the work efficiently and were incredibly respectful while in our home (especially during quarantine- wore masks at all times). They took great care in placing the units in a way that was as subtle as a split system can be. Ken and Brad were great at keeping us informed about the timing of the project and eventually showing us how it all worked. They left no trace of even being here other than a wonderfully air conditioned home! We are already loving having AC and can't wait to never worry about our window units again. Having received estimates from several others for this job before hiring Absolute Precision, I can say that the whole experience was head and shoulders above the competition. Rude as f. Under stressful situations, this is my first time reaching out for heating issues ever. This dude yelled at me, bad customer service got mad when I didn't use them. Was considering saving this business number for future use but no thanks, before I could finish talking he yelled at me. Would rather pay more to go with someone else. Sorry it didn't work out, but no reason to be rude, especially to first time customers. I don't play games either.

I called and explained that our water heater was not working, with the lights Vacation A and B lit. According to the manual this meant there was a gas flow problem.

They sent out a plumber, to charge $50 to tell me what I told them over the phone, then he hinted that it might involve getting a new water heater, for $2350. He called me a few days later to report that since our water heater was so old (just under 6 years) the parts couldn't be located. I asked about the fact that all the water heaters in our multi family house had the same heaters with the same exact parts, but I was told again, our tank was so old. The only option was a new water heater, for $2350.

I called a different place, Alewife Company, the next day, they came out, replaced the parts the same day I called, in 2 hours, for $625 (that's parts and labor). I now have hot water again.

Do not use them, unless you enjoy wasting money.

Switched over after some bad experiences with another big outfit. These guys did neat work at real fair prices. Pretty good cleanup, not the usual mess, and fast in an emergency. I'll use them again.

I bought a new gas range over the weekend. It was scheduled to deliver on Wednesday (yesterday) afternoon around 1:30. I made an appointment with one of the plumber from Brennan that he would come in the morning to disconnect the flex line, so that the delivery guys would be able to haul away the old range in the afternoon. In the phone, we had settled down everything, time, address, price etc. Until 10 AM yesterday, the plumber was not yet to come. I called him. He said he was busy on some other things and couldn't come... It's fine if he had other more important appointment to change the schedule, but he should at least notify me in advance so that I didn't have to call other plumbers just couple hours before the delivery time. This company just has bad faith!!!

I met Rusty when I bought my house in 97... Since then he has done all my work, from water heater, furnace to new BR and kitchen. Always punctual, professional and reasonable and throw in a great sense of humor. Never had a problem with ANYTHING he has done. He does not take new customers but if you do get in you are VERY fortunate.   He is very busy but you can get in touch with him anytime... wish I could give him 10 stars... All tradesmen should be this good!

Called Dan to install 2 toilets and he was very prompt and informative scheduling an appointment in just a few days. Chris showed up and got both toilets installed pretty quickly, even bringing shims which were needed since my flange was a little high off the ground. The flange on one of my toilets was unsecured and he also did the work to reinforce it so it was secured to the floor. Would recommend to anyone with plumbing needs as these guys are both affordable and take great care with getting the job done.

Cannot recommend Tony highly enough. He's super responsive, skilled, and trustworthy. I love that I can text him when I need something done and he's there within the week. We've had him disconnect old gas pipes, hook up new fixtures, fix broken pipes, install new outdoor faucets, and probably more things I'm forgetting. Always great service.

Had Charlie come in and fix a leak on the toilet tank.  Really nice guy, reasonably priced, very knowledgeable.  Looked into another intermittent leak situation.

Called back and responded to a message I left within half an hour.  I highly recommend them!

I've been very happy with Streeter. They've been prompt, flexible, and charged me far less for a job than our previous plumber quoted.

I called Jonasson because they are in Needham and I am in Wellesley.  I like to support local businesses.  I needed a washer replaced in a faucet that we were unable to do ourselves due to the faucet being badly stuck.  When the service man arrived and looked at the faucet, he said he thought it would be a good idea to replace the washer in the other faucet even though there were no problems with that one.  Then he didn't have the washer on his truck and so went to procure 2 washers.  He should have EVERYTHING he needs on his truck to do the job.  He replaced the 2 washers and the charge was $200!  Not my fault that he doesn't have the appropriate parts on his truck and I was in shock at the charge!  I do NOT recommend this company!
