I had an odd experience with them to start.  They sent two people out to fix a small problem (Jake and another guy). Jake fixed it, the other talked with me. I understand that multi-plumber teams are more the norm here than elsewhere. The fix was relatively fast and correct and has stayed fixed.  

The bill arrived and it was not cheap and rounded up to the nearest hour from about 45 min. the invoice noted that I had to clear all reviews with them, which is an odd and completely unacceptable and not enforceable requirement.  

So I took up a wide range of references.  Many swear by them, but note they are not cheap but are fairly available and responsive.  Some had slightly odd experiences and did not go back.  

On balance, I can see trying them again, but the language on the invoice is off putting.

Matt was great, showed up promptly, explained the problem and resolved it quickly.  i asked for him to come at a certain time on a Sunday and they called at that time and came by less than an hour later.  Price is completely reasonable, I'll use them again.

Main sewer line failure due to a city tree.  Kevin was there within an hour of the initial call.  He had a very reasonable estimate.  He pulled all the permits with the city that day.  Was back the next day on schedule.  Excavated, repaired, buttoned up within nine hours.  Perfectly executed.  Unconditional recommendation.

I called this plumber based on the great reviews here. I left a message and never got a call back.  I called again two days later and got voice mail again (which doesn't specify it's for a business), and I just gave up.  Disappointing.

I called on short notice about a small gas leak from my range. He showed up as promised with the necessary part in hand, and had everything done in about 20 minutes. Reasonable price and a nice guy to boot. Would definitely use his service again.

I highly recommend Boston Drain. I have combination 1930's and 1960's plumbing in an old Dutch Colonial, and the guys that came out to snake the bathtub did a standup job. The snake got stuck, and what could end up being a difficult and expensive situation they came out the next day to do everything they could to finish the work. Because of their experience they got the snake out. They were courteous, cleaned up after, and charged a fair price for this can of worms.

Using this company was one of the best experiences. They were quick to respond, professional and courteous plus the fee for services was great! Cannot find any fault with these gentlemen and highly recommend them for any plumbing/heating services.

I cannot say enough about our great experience with Ken and Absolute Precision. Ken is a pro in every way. They installed our HVAC mini split system after giving us a prompt and fair estimate. They completed the work efficiently and were incredibly respectful while in our home (especially during quarantine- wore masks at all times). They took great care in placing the units in a way that was as subtle as a split system can be. Ken and Brad were great at keeping us informed about the timing of the project and eventually showing us how it all worked. They left no trace of even being here other than a wonderfully air conditioned home! We are already loving having AC and can't wait to never worry about our window units again. Having received estimates from several others for this job before hiring Absolute Precision, I can say that the whole experience was head and shoulders above the competition. this company expects you to wait in a 4 hour window and not show up, no phone call no show. when they do show up the work quailty is horrible. Jack will tell you don't need a permit and the work is horrible

Great job.  Came out on a Sunday, finished the job on a Monday.  I really appreciated how Mike took the time to explain everything to me.  Highly recommended!

They fixed a leak in the basement and first floor. There was no estimate given up front. But few days later we received an invoice for $950 with one line item for parts as over $300. There was no detailed breakdown. When I called to discuss the invoice, they were very rude on the phone.

They won't give you an up front estimate, and just say you will receive a bill a few days after service. If you finally get them to give you an estimate it's twice as much as other plumbers.
We won't use them for any other services.

We had a problem with our toilet and our landlord needed an estimate on his boiler replaced. We called 2 plumbers, one recommend by word of mouth and one on Angies list. Both said they would call us back to set up a time to come out, (2X's) and neither followed up.  Our landlord found an old card he had with Brennan Plumbing & Heating's phone number listed.  He called and the next day they were here and solved the problem and called our landlord back with the estimate and other information re his boiler replacement.  Will definitely call them again if any plumbing issues occur in the future.

Oh boy. Rust. What a man. He (and son, Brandon,) has been our go-to since moving to Mass. in 2013. During that time, he's helped us with a variety of plumbing issues, first in our condo and then in our single family remodel project that included all new gas and plumbing. Rusty is fair. Thorough. Honest. Professional. And hilarious. Simply put, everything he touches gets fixed. Get him while you can.

In the midst of having lost some needed income during the already scary COVID lock down times, the heat in my unit stopped working.  I reached out to a few places but I liked that Daniel was local and had good reviews- and most importantly he was willing to come out asap.  I asked for a quote and he gave what I think was a reasonable number for coming out and said that if it didnt take him more than an hour, which it was unlikely to, he would only charge that (plus any needed parts).  I was stressed about all money, but I needed the service and he came out that afternoon.  Turns out that all that was needed was to fill the water reserve in my steam broiler- which involved turning a lever for 45 seconds.  Having just bought the house, I felt so dumb and then super angry at myself that I was about to pay X dollars for a 30 second fix, but to my insane relief, Daniel said he wasn't going to charge me! Thank you so so much, and I assure you that from herein, you will be the only person I call for all my heating needs and maintenance calls!  If only we had more people as kind and understanding in these times! :)

Tony is experienced, reliable and responsive - everything a great plumber should be.  He does things the right way, and doesn't cut corners.  I had an annoying situation with my toilet and he was very patient and helpful - went above and beyond to get it fixed.  Thanks Tony & Ralph!!

Lovett Plumbing is fantastic.  Our hot water went out Saturday morning and my husband and I were concerned that we wouldn't be able to get anyone until Monday.  We called Lovett and left a message Saturday afternoon, they called back in less than 5 minutes and then Charlie was there in under 2 hours!  He diagnosed the problem immediately, explained to us what went wrong, and fixed it on the spot.  He was super friendly and very professional.  The price was fair and reasonable, especially given the immediacy of response and quality work performed.  To have the problem resolved less than two hours after our initial phone call on a weekend is pretty amazing.  We will definitely be using Lovett again for our future needs.

They came and replaced my hot water heater with a Top brand and was very satisfied with the service...They came installed and got it going..came to the RESCUE...

I have used them off and on the last few years for simple plumbing work and have always tolerated their $150 hourly rate, the work has been fine. I will tolerate it no more! Latest transaction has left me totally dissatisfied, The a priori explanation and professionalism  of billing and rationale for expense was completely lacking in latest engagement. I will shop elsewhere for plumbing services in the future. Buyer beware!
