Anthony and Irvin are the best! We found our kitchen faucet leaking under the sink yesterday afternoon and put in a call expecting to have to wait a few days for the repair. Anthony responded quickly and we were scheduled the next day!
The communication is outstanding even let us know that they were packing up and heading our way from the previous job they had. They are courteous and professional. Their work is quality and most reasonably priced...

Cannot recommend Tony highly enough. He's super responsive, skilled, and trustworthy. I love that I can text him when I need something done and he's there within the week. Above and beyond again and again. I feel so grateful I stumbled upon Tony and Drain flow, probably 4-5 years ago now. From the simple tasks of unclogging drains, to installing fixtures in the kitchen, to helping with sewer pipes, I'd be pleased just to have someone reliable, responsible, and reasonable, but Tony is all that and more. He bends over backwards to help and then goes the extra mile with helpful tips and recommendations.

Back in Feb when the Boston area was predicting a night of -30 degree temps on the same day I was flying out of town, Tony spent time on the phone with me the day before, going over all the steps I should take. Then, knowing he was going to be downright pummeled with calls for frozen pipes the next day, he even offered to come check the house when he could to make sure the water was running and all looked okay if I left out a key. I will never forget such an amazing gesture. There is truly no better plumber. Always responsive, always skillful, and always the extra mile.

Tony is soooo fast with emergency calls, in fact he was already Getting into his truck as we were talking on the phone! I was out of town when my tenant called with a toilet clog. He made my life really simple, took great care of them, and within an hour, maybe 2, they were all set, and happy. Then I gave him my credit card over the phone. Simple! His quick service and professionalism made the process so pleasant and saved my vacation from what could have been a nightmare.

He also did a gas line move to accommodate a new stove. Both times he was fast and efficient and I feel provided a nice value. I would most definitely use Tony again!!

I stupidly clogged my drains again, I swear I'm not going to use my garbage disposal anymore after this doozy. Somehow I managed to clog my damn drain with the innards of a watermelon that went bad. No, not the rinds or seeds, just straight up red, f**kin watermelon flesh. Tony came to rescue us again, this time he showed me what to use in the future so that I'm not wasting money having him come out to clear it since it's actually a pretty easy thing to do. Now that's what you call great customer service. Hopefully I won't need his services anymore but I definitely wouldn't hesitate to call him and will gladly refer my friends to Tony.

I can see why Anthony always gets 5 stars. The other night, the water heater in the basement sprang a leak: puddles everywhere, wet/dry vac and mopped all night long. DM'd Anthony first thing in the morning. He and his apprentice removed, disposed my old water heater and installed a new one from Home Depot in a couple of hours. Super prompt coming to my home, and going to and from Home Depot. Luckily, the warranty was barely still in effect so was only charged for labor, removal and replacement. Kudos to Anthony!

Very responsive and competent. Very happy with the work and speed. Impressed with knowledge. About $1000 labor to replace water heater under warranty. Had to take off 1 star due to failure to remove boxes and other debris from the job: found them in our trash receptacle on side of house which can't accommodate this kind of waste. We had to them break down boxes and deposit waste where appropriate. Wish Anthony had taken it all away with him. Will use again due to his effectiveness.

I've used Drain Flow twice. Both times, the service was phenomenal, and the communication speed was insane.

First time, hot water heater broke around 9pm. Called/texted Drain Flow and had a new water heater installed by 10am the next morning -- on a weekend too! Insanely fast and incredibly professional.

Second time, the new hot water heater pilot light went out, and the gas valve wasn't working to relight it. Called/texted again with an immediate response. Tony walked me through how to call the manufacturer to get customer support for troubleshooting this particular model, especially since it was still under warranty. When the manufacturer promised to send someone and no one followed up for three days, Tony came out to fix the gas valve himself. Again, great service with great results. As a bonus, my faucet was partially clogged because of built-up sediment, and Tony used a special tool to unblock it.

Great experience from start to finish. Our water heater started leaking so we needed an immediate replacement. As other reviews mention, Tony was very responsive via phone and text which helped provide an overall positive experience. We set up time for a replacement on a Saturday morning when it was convenient for me. I had also gotten price quotes from the big box stores, Tony's pricing was lower and I'm happy we ultimately went with him.

As an added bonus, I was in the process of replacing my washing machine hoses and had been unable to unscrew one of the corroded hoses with my own tools. Tony was more than happy to help and got the hose unscrewed for me in no time (and free of charge!). Talk about great customer service!

I wrote my original 5* review soon after Drain Flow cleared a portion of the waste pipe, giddy with relief. Although, I am glad Drain Flow arrived quickly and cleaned out a portion of the drain to give us temporary usage, I am disappointed they did not come clean that they lacked the equipment to clean the whole line. I am grateful they informed me the job was not complete and recommended I call Hercules C & G Drain to finish the job, but they should have advised me to call Hercules first and offered to give me a temporary quick fix only if Hercules could not come right away. I had to pay for an additional service call.

Another thing I did not like in retrospect is that they shooed me out of the basement and would not let me clear the area where they planned to open the waste pipe. I discovered later that sewage sprayed all over things I wished to move, so I had to spend hours scrubbing and sanitizing. Hercules cleared the drain from outside, so nothing in my house could get dirty.

Something really bizarre that spurred me to rewrite this review: I found something gross wedged into the handle of my dryer, which was not in the line of sewage spray fire. Since the dryer handle faces down, I can only wonder how it got there. Not funny at all.

I highly recommend this company! We first used them in 2015 and we used them again a few months ago. Tony answered pretty quickly and he had time to come same day to check out the problem and fix it. I noticed a leak under my kitchen sink and had a strong suspicion that my garbage disposal was the issue. I called multiple plumbers the next morning around 9 am. Drain Flow picked up before the 4th ring and trouble shooted over the phone, they then asked I text a picture of my under-sink. within a minute, I was quoted a price and time-frame.

The owner stayed in touch with me that morning letting me know that they were on their way to a job and would be heading my way after; he stayed in contact letting me know when they were leaving their job and when they were near me.
Ralph was the tech that came in my home. He was pleasant, worked quickly and methodically as he spent time verifying the issue and then clearly explained what he would be doing.

The disposal I had was rusted and the connections to the sink were jammed together. the removal took longer than expected and I'm glad I didn't try to do it on my own (something I was considering after watching some videos), I expected the cost to be higher than the quote. I was pleasantly surprised when I wasn't charged more.

Ralph also did me a favor and tightened some loose fittings on the sink for no charge.

Once he was done, he made sure to check that things were working well and without leaks. he cleaned up the area and gave me some good advice.

This was a great experience; promises made were kept, the work done was good, and the cost was better than the other 3-4 plumbers I called. I will refer Drain Flow to friends and colleagues. I will also ask for Ralph if I ever need a plumber again.

Drain Flow is the best.

When I was in need of a plumber, a neighbor recommended Drain Flow and I have never looked back. Communicating with Anthony has been great--when I first reached out, he came by to take a look and consult with me. Since then, he and his crew installed a new toilet, bathroom vanity (which required re-working the water lines), addressed my old clawfoot tub shower rod situation, disconnected old kitchen appliances, and connected the new ones that arrived. He kept me updated, informed, and is extremely efficient. There are additional plumbing projects that I will be taking on in the near future and I will definitely be contacting Anthony and Drain Flow again.

Anthony at Drain Flow has helped us twice now, providing prompt and fairly priced service on both occasions. Most recently we called him the Friday after Thanksgiving, when the ejector pump in our kitchen sink stopped working. Anthony showed up the same day, was able to provide a new pump for the same price it was available for online (which was 1/2 what other plumbing services have asked for it), and ultimately fixed the problem with some maintenance on the current pump, saving us the cost of the new one. I have been depending on Tony ever since I bought my house. Initially hired him for a pipe leak I discovered three days after moving, fixed that pretty well (it's been four years). Today he came because one of the metal pipes going to the boiler was leaking; I suggested soldering but Tony insisted in replacing, which ended up being a tough job. While he was at it he noticed an issue with the boiler which coincidentally started about a year ago after the oil company was here doing maintenance; I was waiting for their scheduled maintenance but Tony fixed the issue. Amazing! If you need a dependable plumber in a hurry, and you need a job well done, Drain Flow will get you out of the problem you're in!

Tony lives up to his stellar reputation. I texted him at 10pm last night and he responded immediately (within minutes). Super impressed so far. He was at our house this morning by 9am and continued to text me status updates as to how far out he was. He was able to fix our very clogged toilet and all is flowing well in our home. I asked if we needed to camera the line and he didn't think it was necessary, saving us a few hundred dollars. Both he and Ralph were very nice and did a thorough cleaning after they were finished.

Sometimes when you see a bunch of five star reviews...you think...can these people really be as good as all the reviews? The answer with Drain Flow is yes! Recently had a problem with my toilet tank running constantly. Of course the maintenance dude from my building said I need a whole new toilet, and recommended two plumbers that do not have stellar reputations. Would not be surprised if he got a kickback if I used them. Also had a kitchen faucet that leaked. Luckily I had this company do my dishwasher and garbage disposal connect about six years ago...and they were great. Anthony came...and said a new toilet may be required...but he will try to repair the problem with it now...so it may not be needed. He worked his magic...and found a solution...so no more running water in tank. He also fixed my bathroom and kitchen sinks that were leaking...and cleaned my garbage disposal and dishwasher lines. Great job!

Highly recommended! I realized my water heater was leaking, and it started flooding my basement. Tony and his crew showed up, fixed a back up from the condo main line and were done in about an hour on a hot day the day after I called him with the issue. This is the second time I've used Drain Flow in about a year (for unrelated issues) and I recommend them if you have a problem.

He also gave me a write up of the issue to take to the condo management company who initially insisted the issue was in my unit only and thus my problem. If only the condo management company was as helpful.

I've had some bad luck with drains in the past month. First one was at home with a main pipe clog and then my business with a sink clog. I feel like most of the time you call a plumber, you're lucky to leave a voicemail and get a callback within 24 hours. But owner, Tony has either picked up my call in the middle of the day after a few rings or responded to my texts within minutes. Both jobs were very fairly priced and serviced by his friendly employees, Ralph and Irving who professionally diagnosed and solved my issues both times. It was important to note that they made sure to stay and help clean up the imminent mess that occurs when cleaning out drains. I just happened to come across Tony on a Google search when my hot water heater went and I'm very glad I did. I called mid morning and by early afternoon they were at my house ready to go. I really appreciated the text updates the whole day of when he would be arriving, when he was a few minutes out and so forth. I didn't have to sit at home the whole day waiting and wondering when they would arrive because he kept me totally posted. Tony and his partner were quick to identify the problem and remedy it. They removed the old tank and replaced it in no time and was very efficient and professional. Quality of work was excellent and so was his price. I plan on using him for other plumbing work in the near future. I'm comfortable recommending him to my friends and family as hey I got a guy who does all plumbing work and doesn't ripp you off.

Called several plumbers for quote on a simple (proactive) hot water heater replacement. Tony was fast and professional identifying what heater I needed, dealing with the warranty, and updating me on the timeline of the project every step of the way. He was also (rightfully) very confident in his pricing and he beat all the other quotes I got by 30% or more.

He was fast, professional, and took care of an additional repair I needed in the time another plumber might take just to do the heater replacement. I can't recommend Drain Flow enough -- better price and better service. Truly great.

Nobody likes having to call a plumber but drain flow made what could have been a really frustrating experience awesome! Tony and Ralph were professional, efficient and great to work with. I got my water heater replaced after I flooded the basement. It's not a cheap job but the guys at drain flow got me a great model with a warranty while still keeping the price comparable to other plumbers that would have charged. My neighbor actually just got his replaced recently and paid the same price for a lesser quality model with only a 1 year warranty.

I only wish I knew about these guys sooner! I definitely recommend them! If you want fast, friendly, reliable service these are your guys. I've worked with other companies and these guys put them to shame.

I called them on a Saturday, they picked up the phone within 2 rings and told me that it would not be an issue to be over there today. They provided an estimated time of arrival and arrived within 15 minutes (early I may add) of the designated time. The actual price matched the over the phone estimate even with difficulties hit. RALPH cleaned the entire area up for us as well ensuring we were good to go the moment he left. My girlfriend is happily showering already and my stress levels are down. 100% will call them again and request assistance from Ralph for sure.

Found these guys on Yelp when the building's usual plumber didn't call me back. Figured out a relatively convenient time to come over and they got things taken care of including a couple slow/bad drains, toilet problem and small disposal issue. It's suspicious that this company has such high reviews. I had the unfortunate experience of having my appointments canceled three times.

1st time saying that the morning appointment took longer than expected and he would be delayed until the afternoon.

2nd time saying that he was very sick and could not make it in the afternoon and that the following day at 12pm would work.

3rd time, calling and texting me at 8am the next day saying that he needs to move up the meeting from 12pm to as early as possible or else he would not be able to make it.

I can understand all the reasons for not being able make an appointment, but 3 in a row with times that the company suggested themselves is very disappointing.

Anthony was great. Super responsive and did a virtual quote (via photos) for water heater replacements (3 for our condo). Quote was very reasonable and better than others we received. Arrived early and finished early which is certainly uncommon among most service folks. FYI we were kept aware of his early arrival so it wasn't an issue and was welcomed. He also described how the warranties work for the water heaters which was much appreciated. I would highly recommend Anthony and will definitely use him in the future.

Listen, as a young homeowner there are some things I am just clueless about and some times you feel like trade professionals take advantage of that fact. FACT: Anthony has never made me feel that way. Every time I call on him, he goes above and beyond to explain the issue and why he's fixing it one way vs. the way it had been done. Tony and Ralph are absolutely amazing. They are both incredibly professional and technically adapt. We have had Tony do work at our house before and of course, he did a great job. I should have commented before, but I didn't. I called him again this morning to see if he could help me out. He had an incredibly busy day, but said he would still fit us in. We are getting ready to enjoy a snow/ice/rain storm, it has already started to snow; but they still came out on a Saturday with these challenges. Tony could have told us no, but he still came out to help us with our issue. He looked at the situation and figured out the best solution. It took minimal time and the issue has been resolved. His prices are incredibly reasonable; yes, you may find someone cheaper, but you get what you pay for. I have made that mistake before and never again. I will only use Drain Flow moving forward.

No wonder Drain Flow has such amazing rating! I had the first hand experience with Anthony to fix a leaky kitchen faucet. One phone call and within 12 hours the problem was fixed!! I was truly impressed with how quickly he was able to come in. He even had the faucet replacement (different options to choose from) although I had my own replacement but it was great to know how well equipped he is.

We had a simple leaky shower faucet, which is admittedly a pretty low-priority. After another plumber made an appointment, but then bailed on us, I found Tony here on Yelp and gave him a call. There were quite a few things that impressed me.

1. Tony communicated with me via phone and text. Texting was especially helpful, because I could coordinate with him while going about my day. I was also able to text him a photo of our faucet, so that he knew exactly what the problem was, which leads to my next point.

2. Tony and his partner showed up on time, as scheduled, and were fully prepared for the job. This enabled them to accomplish the task quickly and efficiently. Again, this was a simple task, but we all know how one plumbing problem can unveil any number of other problems. I was impressed with their professionalism and efficiency.

3. Tony and his partner were extremely personable. They were both kind and polite to me, as well as friendly with my large dog. She can be nervous around new people, especially in our home and with tools in hand. They took the time to sit down with her, pet her, and set her at ease before they got to work. As a result, she was much more comfortable with them than she usually is with contractors.

I will absolutely be calling Drain Flow for our next plumbing need!

Drain Flow is amazing i called on a Sunday night the owner Anthony picked up the phone on the second ring i told him that my nephew had thrown a tennis ball down our vent pipe on the roof and that our drain was now backing up if we tried to use it Anthony told me not to worry he would be out to my house first thing in the morning and all i can say is that 6:30 am the next morning he was at my house with his worker Irving fixing the problem... 20 minutes later our drain was working great !!! i would highly recommend Drain Flow i know for sure this is who i will use from now on they are not like most other companies that just care about how much they can screw you out of money. they need an option for 100 stars because Drain Flow would get a lot more.. We have been working with Tony the past few years over several jobs and I will say hands down he is the best. We moved into a 1930s colonial a few years ago and my first project with Tony was unclogging a bathtub that those who lived here before us (who were very nice and upfront) said was uncloggable no matter who they used. Tony was recommended by a friend and he got it unclogged in 30 mins. He has continued to go above and beyond each time and get it done. He tells you like it is, is always professional and there's no BS. Moreover, he is a good man who takes good care of you and your house. Just last week I called him for a leaky pipe and then saw there was some discoloration in the ceiling of a different room. He went into the bathroom upstairs and found the leak in 30 seconds! I really mean seconds - and he fixed it for no additional charge as he was doing another job anyway in parallel for us. Basically - an honest man who we hope will do great and we will continue to use his services. I wish I could give him more stars than 5!

We have worked with Anthony 2 times- once to replace a broken garbage disposal, and another to fix a burst pipe.

I cannot say enough good things!!! Anthony was very responsive (via text), and kept us frequently updated on his arrival status. I really appreciated how professional and patient he was- as in, how much care he took in making sure that things weren't tossed/thrown about in my house to get to the problem area. Afterwards, they even cleaned up and put everything back in its place! Mind you this was 11 PM-ish on one of the coldest days of the year, and they had pretty much been running all around town the entire day dealing with issues. On top of everything, they were very friendly and pleasant and made the whole ordeal a lot less overwhelming.

I will continue to use his service exclusively!!! Highly recommend to everyone. Trust me, it's hard to find good plumbing services, especially in the area where I live (Somerville). I used another local company last winter, and it was horrendously expensive and the men were pissy/rude and the work was sloppy. GO WITH DRAIN FLOW!

I needed Anthony's help on multiple occasions and he has been very responsive despite of being busy at other appointments. On one occasion our basement was flooding and we used one of the other businesses to diagnose the issue. He scared us by saying that the foundation of the house was faulty and that he needs to check further and that would cost us $400 just for diagnosis. I called Anthony for a second opinion who was super responsive and showed up within hours of the call. He identified the problem which was from a backed up HVAC drainage system and charged us a minimal amount literally saving us a lot of $$$$. I called him again after a few months because our sump pump seemed to be backing up. He immediately came and identified the issue and recommended a few additions to avoid any future damage. He is honest, diligent and hard working. I will definitely recommend him over any other plumbing business in Boston. Thank you Anthony and apologies for the late review :-)

My water couldn't turn on. So I gave them a call to see if they can come to check it today. They came within an hour, and found the problem that the electronic switch popped. They quickly reset the gas valve and problem solved. They charged $150 since no parts involved, $250 if any parts need to be fixed. They are easy to work with. Got a schedule within 24 hours right away with no extra charge. Thought I had a leak on my bath tub all the way to the basement. They found out it was actually the kitchen sink. They changed a few item under my sink. Price was pretty reasonable.
Had to call them back again as another leak in the basement happened. Tony came back within two hours, checked the pipe and found another source. He recommended I do it myself to save money as it is that easy to fix. He taught me how to do it and where to buy items. He left me sealing tape too. He did not charge me anything for this visit. Excellent service, I called about my busted water heater and within 2.5 hours I had a brand new water heater and a fixed garbage disposal. I provided my generaI location and a couple of pictures via text and they said they would head right over. I could not have asked for a better experience. Amazing service!

They arrived within an hour after I called about a clogged toilet. Unfortunately the problem costed $300 to fix. But it is understandable as the entire toilet had to be removed...

Nonetheless the plumbers were kind and respectful. The found out the issue was paper towels clogging. He said this was most likely caused by previous tenants as I had just moved in. When writing the work order, he was specific in writing in a manner that showed the toilet issues were caused by negligence by the landlord to maintain standard toilet conditions.

I will definitely call them for any future plumbing emergencies.

We called Tony this morning to finally deal with our old screwy plumbing under our kitchen sink and have it set up for a garbage disposal. Tony answered right away and asked to send a few pictures to him so he could assess the issue. He gave us a quote immediately and let us know he could come by in a few days. Luckily, he was able to stop by only a few hours later. Tony and Ralph were amazing and after less than an hour he fixed our plumbing and installed a new disposal. Wow!!! Another amazing service Tony provided!!!

My newly renovated bathroom sink drain clogged. I called my general contractor to fix, but 2 hours later with a huge disgusting mess, drain still not working... I yelped, and found Drain Flow. I'm very happy with Tony's service, professional, efficient, meticulous.

a) very responsive: I called, no answer, but within a minute I got a SMS stated that he was on a job, asked me to text back with my address and the problem. He then text back to arrange a time;

b) efficient: Tony is very experienced. He came in, within 20 min solved the problem. He further explained what mistake my contractor made.

c) meticulous: in contrast to my contractor, Tony meticulously cleaned up everything including the mess my contractor left behind.

I have to say Tony's price is a bit on the expensive side, but I feel it worth every penny. If I could give 10 stars, Tony deserves a perfect 10!

To clear a kitchen sink drain line with disposal, I found Drain Flow via Yelp. Based upon the existing reviews, I contacted them as requested via text. Response was very timely and set an appointment for the next day. Tony provided multiple text updates on progress and timing for arrival. His co-worker, Ralph, was the technician who performed the work. He was efficient, friendly and quite knowledgeable. The line was cleared in 15 minutes. Ralph provided some excellent maintenance tips for keeping the disposal and line clear.

Called him to what was bought to be a basic unclog of a kitchen sink and turned out to be his worst nightmare but he completed removal of all the grease and crap all the way out to the main line clear in up most of the house.

Then required his services on a toilet that was leaking and he discovered the flange was rotted and gone causing the leak. He worked around to put a new flange because of a previous persons negligence.

I can't thank Tony enough for helping our drain situation.

I discovered early in the morning that my tub and toilet were misbehaving, and called drain flow. He told me he could come by as soon as he was done with his current job which he did and helped determine the exact issue and fixed it. Cleaned up after himself, very courteous and professional. Good guy, would definately call him again (hopefully not though!)

Anthony and Ralph saved my butt AGAIN. Anthony has been nothing but professional. I called Anthony for a second opinion on a clogged faucet. Call Tony if you need a plumber! Thank you yelp reviewers for leading us to him. He is extremely responsive and responsible. We had a toilet that was causing us problems since the day we moved in. At the point where it actually overflowed and started leaking through the ceiling to our first floor, we knew we needed help. Tony came over as soon as possible and spent a long time with us, figuring out the source of the issue (which included taking the toilet off and resealing it, getting a new flapper that actually fit, etc). Even though he had put in a long time solving our toilet, he still helped us with a small task of putting on our new shower heads properly to prevent leaking. Just such a helpful guy!

When the toilet acted up again the next week, he sent his assistant over the next day and fixed it again for free.

We have had to call him back a third time (seriously, this toilet is a pain!) and he solved another problem once again.

His prices are reasonable, he's really responsive and he's a cool guy so I'll keep calling him back.

Extremely prompt and professional service. Anthony said he would be at my house at 10 AM, and knocked on my door at 10:00 on the nose. My garbage disposal was leaking, and a less-honest plumber would have told me the whole thing was broken - Anthony found the one spot that was problematic and fixed it for a fraction of the cost I was expecting. I had another problem with a drain downstairs... he identified a missing part and replaced that the next day in mere minutes, also for a much more reasonable price than others would have charged. Tony and his crew are true professionals. We've now had them come out to replace/fix our garbage disposal twice, most recently to remove one that was leaking all over our kitchen, the day before Thanksgiving. You should not/ cannot call anyone else. This is the second or third time I've had to have them snake my line... roots in my pipe and I can't afford to re-pipe right now.

I texted them at 9am and they had 2 calls ahead of me. They were at my house by 11 the same day.

Drain flow showed up, did a quick test to verify the location of my clog and then told me where it was. However, the location where it was, my city snakes for free, which I told the owner. And to my surprise he said if they do it for free then let's have them do it and I won't charge you for the visit.

How amazing is that. Most contractors would have hit me up for at least something, but DF was totally awesome and cool about it.

Can't say enough about that kind of service. And the city did snake me and the clog was right where DF said it was.

This is the only drain cleaning company I will use from now on and it should be yours too.

Anthony and his crew at Drain Flow are truly exceptional. I had a drain backed up that a local plumber couldn't fix. Called Drain Flow and Anthony was willing to drive about an hour to get to me - right away.

He diagnosed the problem immediately (tree roots blocking the drain), fixed it, left the place spotless and that was that. He charged me well less than the local competitors who didn't have to drive nearly as far.

Next time I have any plumbing problems, I am going with Drain Flow.

Came out to clear a blocked sewer main - snaked it for $395. Within 1 day it is backed up again. Tony said his buddy Hercules C&G Drain would come out for a more permanent fix. Came once with an eye popping quote. I asked Tony to come back as his work clearly was not effective the first time around. He gave many excuses, beyond that was defensive and verbally aggressive, and ultimately is not coming back to do the job he was hired and payed to do. Excellent at making excuses. Terrible at clearing drains. DO NOT USE.

Highly recommended! Anthony answered my phone call on the first ring. He said he could stop by within he next few hours to check out a leak in my bathroom. He had me text him the address and said he would text back with an ETA. Coordinating via text was very convenient and Anthony kept me posted on his ETA as he finished up a few other jobs.

He checked out my leaky toilet within hours of my first call and was able to fix it on the spot. He had all the supplies in his truck and explained what he was doing step by step.

His fees were super reasonable and right on estimate. He had a credit card payment app so I was able to pay right then and there. So convenient! He gave me a detailed receipt and, best of all, guaranteed his work.

So glad I called Drain Flow and I will use them for all my plumbing issues from now on.

Great service! Today my bathroom drain clogged up and I called Drain Flow. I spoke with Tony who said he will come out in a couple of hours - as soon as he would be done with his current job.

He showed up exactly when he said he would and fixed the problem in minutes. Very friendly, very professional, down to business no extra fuss. He also fixed my shower head because he noticed a problem with it - very nice touch.

All this for $125 and on such short notice. I was very happy with the service and would highly recommend Tony to anyone in need of a plumber.

Anthony's come out to my place now a few times. He's an amazingly reliable person who is easy to get a hold of (like when your toilet turns into a water fountain at 10pm in your first night of owning your own home). That initial visit he was able to diagnose the problem via a quick phone call and a text with a picture of the toilet tank. He came the next day with the part and had it fixed in less than 20 minutes. Charged a very reasonable price. The next couple of times he came out, the issue was out of his purview. He didn't charge me for the assessments AND recommended appropriate people who were equally responsive in helping me fix the problem. He will always be my first call when I have any sort of plumbing issue.

I called this morning (before their opening hours) and left a voicemail- within minutes Tony texted me, asked about the issue, and sent Ralph over... all within an hour. Only facts.
1. Called him on the weekend explaining that I have problem with drainage. The water overflows the pipe, gets into the water heater tray and traps the shut down valve there. There is a drainage problem down at the septic collector most likely. He could not come on the weekend (understood), mutually agreed to come at 8:45 on Monday. So far so good. I explain that we can't use any water in the house and really need him. So far he sounded good.
2. Then something happened with him - as if he became a different person. He texted me saying that he is not going to waste his time, 8:45 is too late for him, and he is convinced we need a new water heater. I responded, OK, come at 8. no problem. His response - NO, I am not wasting my time (what a nice way to talk to the potential client!), you need water heater. He promised to call after his first appointment on Monday. My objections that the issue could be with the drainage were simply dismissed - I am doing it for 20 years. I said: Ok, give me a call tomorrow. He said he will.
3. He never called. Good thing I realized that something is wrong with him, and called another plumber. As I suspected, the issue of water overflow had nothing to do with the water heater and was caused by the drainage issue.

Based on the response:
BE VERY CAREFUL - instead of apology and realizing what was done wrong his response: problematic client. If you prefer not to become the one - AVOID problematic servicemen.

Drain Flow (Anthony), from start to finish, was highly responsive, prompt, transparent, and capable.
He answered the call and made the commitment to show up. He kept me informed about when he would arrive and showed up when he said he would.

Anthony and Ralph JUST stopped by. Our toilet was clogged since yesterday morning and I couldn't get it unclogged the usual way (plunger, hanger, Drano). I called Anthony around 10:55am and he was passing by so stopped by with Ralph. Ralph unclogged the toilet in less than five minutes. It's now 11:25am as I type this review. Given, I hadn't dropped anything in the toilet and it was probably just thick toilet paper (u-huh), it was really quick and dirty and sweet all at the same time. :) Two thumbs up.

My experience with Anthony was an excellent one. My house randomly had no heat one day, which my wife and I didn't discover until we got home from work, so I checked Yelp, sorted by best reviews, and gave Drain Flow a call given all its fantastic reviews. Now I see why they're so good.

I left Anthony a voicemail explaining my situation, and his message said that callers can text as well, so I sent a follow-up text. This was about 7pm. Not long after, I got a text back letting me know that he couldn't come first thing in the morning but he could come later in the day, if that's ok with me, and I said sure and to keep me posted.

Next day, Anthony got to my house as soon as he was able. He went into the basement to check on the boiler, and discovered that the only problem was that my boiler was low on water. I sure felt like an idiot (although since the Quincy-based plumber who installed it never said a word about maintenance, I don't know how I was expected to know how to fix that...) although Anthony fixed it and showed me how, which took all of about 4 minutes. He said he wasn't going to charge for that, and I said no way - he changed his schedule and came out to Braintree and I was definitely going to pay him.

Rather than pick some random dollar amount, I told him that we had a few other things he could look at, if he wanted - a running toilet and a broken garbage disposal. He promptly fixed both, and we had some friendly conversation in the meantime. He again showed us how to fix the disposal in the future, and he even left a tool to do it with. He did this all at an excessively reasonable price, which prompted a good tip - and he earned every penny.

My wife and I are relieved to have found a reliable, flexible, and reasonably-priced plumber. We will definitely be using Anthony whenever possible, and recommending him as highly as possible.

Drain Flow/Anthony knows drains sooooooo much better than even your best plumber. I called him freaking out about a clogged tub drain. He happened to be passing through my neighborhood and came straight over. Removed some super gross stuff from my pipes, and came back another day when he was less busy to fix my broken tub stopper. I had a very good experience with Tony and Ralph. I heard about Drain Flow through Yelp and a Roslindale-based Facebook group so after trying a few plumbers over the years, I decided to give them a call. I am very glad I did.

I thought I had a relatively simple problem with my boiler (mainly one corroded pipe), but after Tony and Ralph worked on it a bit, they were able to diagnose the actual issue (which other plumbers missed). They didn't mind me watching what they were doing and pointed out each issue, including showing me how loose so many parts of the boiler were (some of the black pipe segments were only hand tightened), and how much corrosion had built up inside the pipes and fittings.

They addressed all of my concerns and while this was a large job, I felt like I got a very fair price considering how long they were here and how much I've paid plumbers for much smaller jobs in the past.

We've been in the middle of a kitchen remodel for 2 months, and when our counter FINALLY arrived and it was time to install our sink & disposal, our contractor's plumber did not show up- twice. After 2 months without a working kitchen I was not going to wait another week to *hope* that our guy would show the 3rd time, so I called Drain Flow and was able to get same day service.

My parents recently bought a house in JP and I moved into their basement, as all 31 year olds should. Within the first few weeks, the boiler sprung a leak. Drain Flow were the first people we called, but by the time we actually spoke to Anthony (we were calling a million places at once) we had already spoken to a bunch of other plumbers.

Anthony quoted the lowest price AND sounded like he was the most in control of the situation. It also helped that he was the friendliest and installed the boiler the same day.

There's not much else to say. He provided an excellent service, he was extremely friendly, and while I don't hope that we have plumbing problems anytime soon, it's good to know that he's there.

We live in a house from the early 1900's with all original pipes. Our kitchen sick was completely plugged. After searching through Yelp we found Tony. He provided next day service, was professional, efficient, and charged a reasonable fee. He had to snake the train through three different tubes all the way through our basement. I pinged 3 plumbers around Charlestown to get some help with a bathroom faucet that had multiple issues. Tony was the only one who got back to me right away. He asked me about the job and then asked me to send a few pictures of the hardware. I had a tough problem with my shower drain, that Drain Flow successfully fixed. They had to run a snake through the line trap in the closet, which I was not able to open. They got it open pretty quickly and efficiently and fixed the problem, stating that it was the toughest drain trap that they had seen. They left the place clean. They were on time, and communicated great. My only downside to their service was their expense, which was $239, I think because they had to get a special wrench from the truck. Still it seems like a lot for a call that I seem to remember took about an hour. Again, happy with everything but the cost. I'll use them again for the stuff I can't fix.

I have heard horror stories of drain cleaners that overcharge, do shoddy work and don't care if their work holds up. I had a few issues and was scared to do the work of finding a GOOD professional - I thought it would be an arduous task involving a priest, a shaman, a pint of pigs blood, and some magic mushrooms.

Fortunately, finding someone awesome only involved yelp and a good vibe.

Tony was ready, willing and able to come over on a Saturday (he does NOT charge extra for work on days staring with S - BONUS!), and got right down to business. He managed to fix everything quickly, he was EXTREMELY hard-working, professional and thorough, and he gave us some education along the way. He even came back the next day to finish cleanup and check to see if any more problems had sprung up. I was SO happy with his work, and his rates were super reasonable.

We're definitely using Tony in the future - it was a pleasure to find that there are still honest hard workers.

Bottom line: SUPER hard worker, good rates, and an all-around great human being - if you need a drain cleaner, Tony's your man.

Excellent response and communication to our backup emergency. Determined we had a broken sewer pipe and called zBoston Water and Sewer for us. Tony Waited around for the inspector and until inspection was done. He Facilitated getting the pipe excavated and replaced which is above and beyond expectations. Responds to texts and calls. My garbage disposal broke suddenly and needed someone to fix it asap. My usual plumber was on vacation so I contacted these guys. The owner responded within 10-15 min to set up a time to have the disposal fixed. The plumbers came promptly at the arranged time. They not only fixed my disposal but other issues they noticed I had in my pipes under the sink.
They were very polite, professional and explained the issues well and answered all my questions. Having had plumbing work done in the past by other companies, I thought their rates were reasonable.

I called Drain Flow because the plumber I used before didn't return my calls. Maybe it wasn't working out between us. I found someone better and cheaper, so that's what he gets.

Tony helped me. He was quick to respond to me and was able to come check out my situation the next day. I just wanted to get a washer hookup installed. We scheduled a time, but he had to cancel. We rescheduled and he showed up early. It took them a bit longer and ended up being more work than expected, but this didn't change my quoted price.

I'd totally recommend them. The only downside is that they don't accept credit cards.

I think I am one of hundreds, perhaps thousands of people that Tony has gotten out of a bind. Sunday morning I had a clog in my sewer main. Tony responded to my phone call about a half hour I left a voicemail. He was close by and told me he could come over immediately, which he did. He arrived with his assistant and was able to clear my main line in about 20 minutes. Tony provided me with a reasonable price considering the circumstances, an emergency situation on a Sunday. He offered me advice about next steps if the situation arises again and told me my future options. I have worked with a number of entrepreneurs over the years and I can tell when someone is dedicated to their trade and Tony is. While its true I only had a small interaction with Tony I will be using him for non-emergency work in the future as I have a few items around the house that exceed my comfort zone.

Julie answered the phone and was lovely, sweet and funny. She had a plumber out to my sister's house that afternoon. My experience with Anthony and Ralph from Drain Flow was extremely positive, and I recommend them to anyone who needs a fast response and effective completion of the task at hand. Our shower was pooling water, and my subpar effort to clear the drain using a lengthened wire hanger proved useless. After reading through reviews for a number of plumbers on Yelp, I decided to give Anthony of Drain Flow a call. He picked up after normal business hours and after a brief discussion, I texted him my information. My schedule can be a bit tight due to work commitments, but after texting back and forth over a couple of days, we settled on a time the next morning. I noted that I had to leave the house by 9:15am at the latest, so Anthony put me first on his schedule - something I greatly appreciated.

The next morning, Anthony and Ralph showed up 15 minutes earlier than they had expected, which was perfect for me. After listening to my description of the problem, they quickly got to work clearing the drain. 10-15 minutes later, they pulled a hair clump the size of a wolverine out of the drain - problem solved! Anthony spent a few extra minutes with me discussing drain covers, some calcium buildup around my drain, and other services he provides (I asked for this; he wasn't trying to sell me services I didn't need). When he was writing up the bill, I casually mentioned that I saw him on Yelp, which elicited an immediate response of we offer a discount for those who find us on Yelp. I had no prior knowledge of this, and it was something Anthony didn't need to offer up, but the fact that he did showed a level of integrity and honesty that can be difficult to find these days.

In terms of cost, I don't have experience with others, so I cannot comment on what I paid relative to the market. That being said, had I known the cost upfront, I would not have hesitated to move forward, so in a sense, that is a true measure of the value of a service. While I hope for no more clogged drains, if and when I get another, I won't need to think about who to call - it's Drain Flow.

We had a clogged tub in our only bathroom the day before we had house guests coming (father's day weekend), so I called Tony Saturday morning for some help. He was already booked so he said he'd try to fit us in, but communicated often and soon was able to give us a firm commitment. Ralph came by first, and as he ran into some issues (bath, sink, and kitchen were all tied together, with no trap access in bathroom) Tony came as well. Drain Flow was brought to my attention after my plumber, Wayne from South End Plumbing, also absolutely amazing, called in Tony for assistance on a particularly troublesome drain issue in my building (which is about 150 years old).

Tony was professional, very nice, and very very capable. He initially came with Wayne on an early Sunday morning, with no trouble (and the day of the Pats AFC championship game, which will never be discussed). Both he and Wayne worked together to troubleshoot the problem, which was massive.

With no trouble Tony and Wayne arrived the next day, woke tirelessly at the problem, and fixed it. Totally amazing skills.

After reading all the glowing reviews on Yelp, I called Drain Flow to help me out with a plumbing emergency. As usual, Yelp never leads me astray. Tony & Issac just left my house after helping me with an overflowing toilet (yikes!!!) I was psyched to be able to get them over quickly to help me.

Being a female who knows nothing about toilets can be intimidating, but Tony explained everything in terms I could understand and explained my options very clearly without pressuring me either way. He is honest, fair and skilled at his trade. I will definitely be calling him anytime I need my plumbing fixed. Thanks guys! You rock!!!

This is really as good as it gets. The kitchen/dishwasher outlet broke flooding the kitchen. I called Anthony at 7:00 in the morning, and by afternoon everything was fixed. He was quick to respond with texts, and kept me updated about the time. He is a great guy, and I will strongly recommend him to everyone.

Had a great experience with Tony when my tub drain got clogged. I had tried so much Drano and every other thing the Internet told me to do until I finally gave in and googled local plumbers. Tony came within 45 min and cleared it within 5 minutes -- no hassle, very professional, and friendly! I especially appreciated that he texted me updates that he was leaving, on his way, etc so I wasn't waiting around irritated wondering when he'd show up. I'll call him again next time I need a plumber.

Shower drain backed up and then wouldn't drain. Tried almost everything I could think of and finally gave up and called a plumber. These guys arrived within 20 minutes and worked really fast. They were very nice and fixed the problem. Pretty affordable too! Would highly recommend.

My shower has been leaking, despite having a handyman come look at it and try to fix it in the past. I contacted Anthony from Drain Flow, and he got me an appointment at the first time I was available. He and Ralph came right at the beginning of the two hour window they gave me, and my shower was fixed completely within an hour. They had all the parts right with them in their truck, they didn't make a mess at all, and they were super friendly. Overall, both the service that Anthony and Ralph provided as well as the process of scheduling an appointment with them were prompt, efficient, and quality. The reviews they have on here are 100% hard earned.

My pipes backed up into my basement - not fun. I had used another local service but they were a bit pricey and I felt a bit taken. Desperate, I looked on Yelp and saw the great reviews for these guys.

I spoke to Tony & within an hour, Abe was here. He snaked the pipe and it was pretty gross. He was very down to business but answered my questions honestly and patiently explained things.

It is Sunday so there was an extra service fee (Murphy's law) - c'est la vie. They got the job done in a timely fashion, were polite, and I will be calling them when I redo my kitchen. I now have a new plumber in my contacts!

Overall great guy. He was doing work on my neighbor's place and I happened to be installing a new sink at my house. I needed a few parts and was going to have to go to Home Depot but I asked him if he had the pieces and he did! And, he gave them to me no charge! Fantastic!!! I used Drain Flow to help me with my garbage disposal that suddenly stopped working. They went out of their way to come to me sooner, so I could go back to routine use of my kitchen sink. They communicated with me the entire time so we could find a mutually convenient time slot, despite my hectic work schedule. Also, when they could have tried to charge me more or replace the entire thing, they analyzed and found a simpler and effective fix that saved me a ton! Honest, reliable, dedicated and really caring. There's a reason why these guys are the most highly-rated:
--Great, fast, clear communication: he'll come when he says he'll come.
--Clear, uncomplicated, fair pricing: Anthony installed a vanity quickly and efficiently. Other plumbers said it would be a huge production because my house is 100 years old, it needed to be retrofit, the pipes were old and other complications which didn't phase Anthony.
--He snaked and unclogged a bathtub drain simply and quickly. This drain had been problematic for years, and other plumbers were talking about ripping out walls and ceilings to get to the pipes. Anthony just cleared it with his machine.
--He didn't make a big deal about things like bringing the vanity up a flight of stairs and working in my tenant's apartment like other prima-donna plumbers.
--Super-respectful of my home, our property, working in our home. He and his worker kept everything clean and contained.
Add me to his list of satisfied customers. I've already scheduled him to return to do more work.
Just make sure to be flexible in your schedule and have multiple times available for him to come because he's so busy, and in case he gets emergency calls.

It is incredible for a company to have 5 star rate in average from hundreds of reviewers.
We bought a condo in Brookline end of last year and found leaks from the toilet. Since we just moved to Boston from Philadelphia and didn't know any plumbers here, so we searched online. Based on the reviews I called Drain Flow. The owner, Tony sent Ralph to repair the leaking. Ralph fixed it right away and cleaned up afterwards. He also explained some other things of plumbing issues and gave us helpful suggestions.
After we completely set up our new home, we found more plumbing problems in our unit and called Drain Flow again. Tony had communicated with me before they came and honestly provided professional advice and instructions ---- for example, he let us to buy the items by our own in order to save money and gave us the brand names as well the model numbers in good details. This time Tony came by himself. He is so friendly, responsive, experienced and knowledgeable. He didn't only re[place the old faucets(he could), but also changed the rubber O-ring valve washers inside the main water switches in our kitchen and bathroom to avoid further problems.
Drain Flow is doing its business, but considering customers' benefits a lot too. I said they are honest because their charges are very reasonable, even less than what we thought.
We are glad to have friendly experts around and will definitely recommend Drain Flow to our family and friends if they need.

Tony is awesome. We were gutting/tiling our shower over the weekend and ran into some plumbing issues that put a hold on the project. I texted Tony that day (it was a saturday by the way) and he showed up in no time. We had another issue later that evening and he came back! I first used Tony about 8 years ago when he started out. He resolved a problem another plumber had failed to solve with my kitchen drain. Three years ago he resolved an outside drain for me and now I needed him for a bathroom drain. He always responds, doesn't mess around, solves the problem and cleans up afterwards. Awesome is what I have to say. Tony and Abe came out to replace an electric water heater that I had installed by Boston Standard (they bad!) 3 years ago! I did not want to call back Joe at BS because of his attitude and huge mark up. Tony charged me $1,095 for a 50 gallon and Joe charged me $1,665. Enough about Joe.... Tony and Abe were professional, personable and they even went out of their way to leave the job and get a new pan from Home Depot because he thought the old pan was not adequate. 2 thumbs up and they're coming again next week to look at some other plumbing problems. AND, they fixed a bathroom drain without charging me. Thank you!

Tony, Ralph and Ralph saved us in a big way! Our pipe froze and we called several 24 hour plumbers to try to get it fixed. These guys texted us back within 15 minutes, came out that night (at 315am) and fixed it like champs in a matter of 30 minutes. They were dead tired, but didn't want to leave us hanging and they didn't charge an exorbitant fee just because they could. They also gave us advice on our forced hot water heaters while they were here. Outstanding professional service. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be using again.

Anthony (I hope I got his name right) hasn't even started my job yet and I'm crazy impressed. Called him around 4pm, he has a dentist appointment at 6, I gave him my address but not my phone number, he tried my work number which showed up on his phone when I called him and when he couldn't reach me, he just came by my house anyway. I happened to call him as I got home and there he was, outside, still hurtin from the dentist. He came in, saw my 30 gal of water on my floor and apologized because he didn't realize I needed a water heater tonight (I didn't know that, but it was obvious to him right away). i'm having a bad dream here. tony from drainflow was recommended by a friend. our shower stopped working. they came by thursday late afternoon to look. said they'd be back the next day to fix it. waited all day yesterday. they came by, said they'd come back the next day and to leave a check for $700. 5 people are waiting to shower. waiting for them to show. i text him late this afternoon- are u almost here? he texts me back: on my way ! then he texts me: you're going to have to pay cash make arrangements to have the $700 cash there i will take care of it . no receipts. starting to sound like a bad mafia film.
i texted him back : people are waiting for you. the check is there as agreed. then i called him. no answer. highly unprofessional.
almost an hour ago and still no response. everyone waiting for a shower. i told other plumbers not to come and here we sit. bad dream. hoping this gets rectified.

Highly recommend!!!! I had a toilet backing up into my shower in the basement and after trying to fix it myself to no avail, I called a professional. I say professional because Tony and Ralph knew exactly what they were doing and solved the problem with ease. They got to my house within twenty minutes of calling them and immediately knew what to do. Spoke with Drain Flow yesterday as our rental property in Massachusetts had a bad hot water heater (leaking profusely). Showed photos of the hot water tank, brand and model (Rheem) and got a quote for $600+any disposal fee for them to do the entire job (drain out the hot water heater, remove, take to Home Depot to replace (under warranty), buy a new one and come back to the property to install). Other plumbers were charging about $800-1,000 and I've done this before and the removal and installation can typically be done in 2 -3 hours including welding pipes (not counting driving time and disposal and pick up at Home Depot which is another 2 hours). While I haven't done this yet I wanted to give this rating first because they have been very responsive, professional and actually very affordable. I'm sure there are other plumbers who can do the job for $500 or possibly even less but they may not be licensed and definitely not have 5 star rating on Yelp and it's not worth trying to save $100-200 to go with unproven plumbers.

If I could give zero star I would. This guy Anthony is a total prima donna and not an entirely truthful one at that. Let me relate the story:

I've had an issue with my hot water pressure since moving into the new condo. Last Friday I called to inquire whether they work on things like that (other than blocked drain as their name suggests). He volunteered eagerly to come next day (Saturday). I said there wouldn't be any extra charge would there? He said well if I have to come in on a weekend yeah I would have to charge you extra. I was like - um you are the one who wanted to come in over the weekend when there is really no emergency for me.

Long story short we eventually settled on Thursday. Earlier today I texted him to ask for a specific time and to give my availability. He said he's nearby and could come right now. A few minutes later, he proceeded to call me to say my street was blocked. I told him yes there has been roadwork for months, but that he could enter from the opposite end of the street EVEN THOUGH it was one way. But he started acting up an said in annoyance: No your entire street is blocked up. I'm not putting myself through this hassle. You can call me when the street is ready. I was like wait that is not true - I just looked down the other end of the street bordering Hampshire and it was completely open. He impatiently said Ma'm, I don't think you understand. I went around the whole block. So I asked him which side was he trying to come in from, and he said Propsect street. I was like well that is not the other end of the street, is it? He muttered something about he doesn't care, he's not going through this hassle, but that he still wanted my business. It's unbelievable how short he was with me, how untruthful he was about the road situation, and yet still wanted me to hold off and give the business to him. I told him no I'm calling someone else instead.

After hanging up, just to make sure I wasn't mistaken, I went down the end of the street one more time and there you have it, the Hampshire end of the street is still wide open!!! Thank God plumbers are one thing this town doesn't have a shortage of.

Tony is very responsive, professional and fast. I have had him come to my mom's house a few times, and he is great. Today I sent him a text at 8:30 telling him my water heater was leaking and he had it replaced by 11:30. My bathroom sink drain broke. I asked my ex to take a look, and he promptly dropped a piece of the sink down the drain. That didn't fix anything. Then I contacted Drain Flow. Tony said he could send someone over the next day, and he kept in regular contact via text to let me know when my savior, who goes by the name of Abe, would arrive. After a quick inspection, Abe said, Oh, this is worse than I expected. (Have you noticed that no one ever, ever says, This isn't as bad as I expected?) On the up side, Abe managed to end my nightmare as quickly as possible, and for less $$$$$ than expected--and he was even amazingly tolerant of my manic barking dog. (He's just doing the job a dog's supposed to do.) A+++++++--thank you!!!!!!

My hot water heater broke on a Saturday morning in the middle of winter. Not good! I called Tony and he was able to come over late the same afternoon with a new one, and get it installed and working right away. This is the second time I've called Tony, and both times he answered promptly, gave me an estimate for services that he stuck to (and was below the other companies I called), kept me informed about when to expect him, and arrived when he said he would. He doesn't mind if I watch what he's doing so that I can learn how to fix at least simple problems myself, and explains the process as he goes. The quality of Tony's work is top notch; he was recommended to me by a neighbor and I recommend him to friends all the time. I can't say enough good things about Drain Flow. My first contact was with Anthony regarding a clogged sink & tub. He was concerned, courteous and sent someone out to help within an hour. Duane gave me an initial impression about what was wrong, but then later explained that one of the repairs was not necessary. I was very impressed with his honesty as he could have easily sold me the repair.

Tonight, my steam boiler was making insane airplane-taking-off noises, while water sprayed from an overhead pipe. I called my regular plumber, who gave me attitude and no assistance. Remembering Drain Flow, I called the number and Anthony picked up right away. He tried to walk me through shutting down the boiler, but offered to come out after sensing my stress level rising over my ineptitude. He fixed the leak, shut down the boiler and diagnosed a problem I've been dealing with for over two years. All the while making sure I understood the issues, which calmed my fraying nerves.

Anthony and his team were terrific. I had to use him twice in about a months time, two separate issues (Yikes). Main sewer drain and frozen pipe. He did a fantastic job both times and as busy as he was he kept me informed to his arrival and he really did a great job. . I've been using Anthony for 5 years for all my plumbing needs. He's courteous, fast, and has a broad skillset for anything from leaky toilets to heater pumps. If I have an emergency (what plumbing repair isn't) he'll work me in, even if there's a foot of snow out there. Tony and Abe are incredibly responsive, professional, and compassionate. I appreciate how convenient it is that you can simply text them and get an immediate response. He has officially become my go-to plumber for my condo!

A few weeks ago, I made an emergency call to them at around 7 pm for a leak in my ceiling: water was pouring through my ceiling speakers and had left visible water marks all over the ceiling. Tony suggested that he come after the water has stopped coming down so that he could do a better analysis, and so that he could save me money from just having him come and sit there while waiting for the water to stop. I appreciated that he had my costs in mind.

When the water stopped coming down, Tony had Abe come, who came within less than an hour, and discovered the problem was my upstairs neighbor's toilet flooding and his bathroom not being caulked properly, something that we would have never thought of and our building inspectors had missed. I could tell Abe wished he could do even more; he wanted to make sure I was getting the best quality consultation and service and gave me a discount off the emergency call.

I was very content with this service, so called them again this past Wednesday when my tenants reported severely slow drainage issues in the kitchen sink, dishwasher, and 1st floor toilet. Tony's schedule was packed solid that entire day, yet he still tried his best to fit me in. When he was already on his way, I suddenly messaged him saying that my good old plunger actually fixed everything and I no longer needed his service. I expected a grumpy response, but instead got a pretty classy, understanding response: Tony simply said no problem, and thanked me for calling him.

These two situations tell me that Tony and Abe take great pride and ownership in their work and customer service: they are looking to build long-lasting relationships in which they become your go-to plumbers should you need them.

These guys are life-savers! I found Tony here on Yelp due to all the good reviews and gave him a call to fix our leaking water heater. He was able to (correctly) guess what the issue was just based on a picture I sent him. He was great with communiciating via text when he was coming and what he was going to do. Tony and his partner, Ralph, showed up on time and got right to the issue and fixed it in no time. They meant business but both have hilarious personalities and were great to talk to. They walked us through everything they were doing and I learned a thing or two. On top of all that, Tony's price for all the work he did over two days was more than fair. My bathtub was horribly clogged and after trying all sorts of DIY techniques, I finally decided to call a professional plumber/ drain cleaning service. I found Tony through Yelp and everything went smooth from there on. He was very knowledgeable, professional, quick to respond, showed up on time, fixed the drain very quickly and smoothly, and charged me a reasonable amount. Our tenant in Natick had been experiencing difficulty with the sink drain, and called a few people that had been recommended to her, who never got back to her (irk!) This is the first time I have ever had to call a plumber in my life, as this is the first time I have called as a homeowner. I was pretty much expecting to be verbally berated by the plumber and be charged $600,000. Instead, got a chill dude who showed up within two hours, fixed my insane toilet clog in seconds, and charged me quite reasonably. I will be using this company for all of my plumbing needs.

After a bad back up / flood in the basement we called Tony at Drain Flow after reading the reviews here. Was not disappointed. Tony and his team responded same day and evaluated the issue. After a thorough inspection with the pipe camera, they found a massive tree root and debris blockage at the main house drain which I otherwise had no idea about and could have caused even more severe flooding! Tony and his team removed the blockage and provided a CD video of the newly flowing pipe. You can't go wrong with Drain Flow, very honest, reliable and reasonable. Definitely reach out to them for any plumbing needs.

I called Drain Flow to fix a few issues we had with our condo (leaking kitchen sink fawcett, running toliet in our master bathroom, wobbly toliet in our half bath). I made the call on a Friday afternoon, Tony picked up right away and set up an appt for the following Tuesday morning. Tony and Duane showed up right on time, fixed the 3 issues (which involved totally resealing a toliet) in about an hour and gave me a price that seemed very reasonable for the work done. They were also very friendly and easy to work with. Overall, it couldn't have been a better experience. Thanks guys!

Once again, other Yelpers did not lead us astray.

Anthony is fantastic! We called him up in an emergency (NGrid turned off all the gas to our building at 6pm on a Sunday when it was supposed to be in the teens at night...) Unfortunately, he couldn't come out but gave us a great recommendation for another plumber and then confirmed later that the second plumber came out. That's service!

Since we needed a particular part, Anthony ended up coming the next day with the parts to fix our system. His quote was more than reasonable and he did a great job! There were a couple hiccups along the way (outside of his control) but he stayed to finish the job on budget.

All in all, I'd say I cannot wait until I can call Anthony again, but I'd prefer everything continue to work instead...

These guys are professional, honest and responsible. The hourly rate is not the lowest in the area but you will actually end up saving money because of their honesty and experiences. I did a lot of research before I hired them. I've interviewed 3 different plumbing companies and gotten a quote as high as $800. Drain Flow Plumbing got it done for about 1/7 of the price. There are a lot of scams out there so It's good to know a plumber that you can trust.

these guys were outstanding- i think i've only written 2 yelp reviews in 10 years, but i had such a nice experience with this company, that it encouraged me to get online and share.

I woke up to discover my sink, dishwasher, and shower were all leaking. i called at 830am, and Tony arrived by 9am to fix things. i live in a super old building with crappy pipes and (apparently) a crappy garbage disposal, but the issue was remedied within a half hour. in addition to fixing it, he also recommended an upgrade to the garbage disposal whenever i go to replace it.

after the sink, he went in to tackle the bathtub which proved to be quite a challenge. he tried a number of different things, and it ultimately brought in another colleague and another machine and they were able to solve the issue.

the entire time they were here they were wonderfully friendly, helpful, and just genuinely good people. and not that money should drive decisions, but i was pretty amped about their flat rate of $150! (really affordable by comparison to the other boston plumbers who will quote a $75 or $95 assessment fee and only afterwards tell you how much it will actually cost to fix whatever is broken).

I had the great idea of trying to fix my tub on a Sunday and Tony and his partner showed up to fix my problems. I called and they showed up 1 hour later. I figured I'd get screwed because of it being on a weekend but that wasn't the case at all.

They were extremely professional, and best of all I didn't feel like I was taken. I highly recommend them!

Nightmare situation of sewage flooding my apartment due to no fault of my own and Tony comes to the rescue. Between the hours of 10:00 pm- 12:00 am on a Saturday night, my on-site manager was not responding multiple calls and knocks on his door. Tony was in bed when we called and he drove 30-45 minutes to help. When he got here, he was efficient, honest, professional, and reassuring. He basically did the job that my on-site manager was supposed to do (cleanup & inspection), except he did a better job than the on-site person would've. AND, he didn't hesitate when it was late on a weekend night. It was probably 3:30 in the morning by the time Tony left. By the time he left, I had a clear understanding of what the problem was, a written statement of the problem, and whose fault it really was (not mine). That way, when my landlord tried to blame it on me, I just showed her that handy little receipt with Tony's written account.

I would highly recommend him to anyone. 5 stars, period.

Drain Flow was excellent! They were courteous, professional and competent. We had a clogged drain in our kitchen one evening, with water overflowing in our dishwasher and we couldn't get anyone to come out that evening. We called Drain Flow because of the positive reviews on Yelp. Anthony answered immediately and he said he could send someone out to our house within 45min. Sure enough Duane arrived within 45min and worked on our clogged drain for ~2hrs. It was nearing midnight so he said he would return the next morning with Anthony at 8am. They arrived on time and together were able to unclog the drain without cutting any pipes.

We can say from experience is that these guys were excellent. They were professional and polite. Their $ rates were appropriate and reasonable. We will be using them in future and are recommending them to friends and family.

Was very pleased with Anthony and Duane's work. They worked on replacing an old trap and tub shoe while adding a an overflow switch and stop. It was a difficult job but they did it and came when they said they would be there. Anthony was terrific in his customer service - sending text messages and updates as they did the job. Tony saved me over the long weekend. Called him in the middle of a Friday afternoon (holiday weekend) for a problem with my sewage main pipe. Arrived as promised and quickly remedied the problem, along with some very helpful advice. After excellent, prompt, affordable service from Drain Flow several months ago, I had another plumbing issue this week and used them again. Ralph came within a few hours of our call and was able to unclog my kitchen sink quickly. He explained the issue to me clearly and gave me pointers for avoiding problems in the future. He also made a point of cleaning the entire area beautifully so I wouldn't have to. Even better, Anthony gave me a 30$ discount because I was a repeat customer! Amazing customer service and at a very reasonable price!

I found sewage in my basement on Labor Day morning and was already starting to panic thinking How on earth will I find someone to fix this without paying an arm and a leg becasue its a holiday???!

I think I just got really lucky when I found Anthony's company. I called him up at 9am, on a holiday, and he picked up! I explained the issue and he was at my house in 30min and had solved the issue (clogged house trap with a rusted and open drain cover) in 45min!! He even put in a plug so that the issue wouldn't happen again and helped with the clean up!

He explained what went wrong and how I could prevent it from happening again and gave me a 3month warrenty with the deal. Compared to other firms he was half the price and his service was probably alot better - plus it came with a smile!! 5 stars for excellent service! Thank you so much!

I first went to Drain Flow a few years ago after seeing great yelp reviews. I have managed apartment buildings for years in the Boston area. My previous drain cleaning company was Mass Sewer. Mass Sewer has perhaps the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

Tony answers all of his calls personally. He does what he can to respond to problems asap and to accommodate his customer's schedules. He has fixed all sorts of issues for me from backed up main drains, clogged sinks, clogged tub drains, re-pipe improper sink plumbing, re-pipe improper tub plumbing, etc. He does not push anything that is unnecessary and will provide thorough explanations and helpful tips without charge. Prices are more than reasonable. Drain Flow takes credit cards but can certainly send a bill if needed.

Duanne is also a great technician. Both he and Tony really know their stuff and so can quickly diagnose and correct problems. As a plus, Tony and Duanne come across as genuinely good guys.

Drain Flow is now the first number I call for any plumbing or drainage issues. Every accolade they receive here on yelp is deserved. They are the gold standard in Greater Boston.

After 10 years the sump pump seemed to be on its last legs. Noisy with the PVC bending at 11 p.m. on Sunday. We had to dump out the rising water ourselves every few hours. This wasn't going to be sustained. So I did some research but feared high costs on a Sunday night. That morning, I continued to searched and landed on Drain Flow somehow. (Thanks Yelp!) Gave them a call. They were down the street working at another home. They came right over and were willing to do an free estimate and worked with my husband in using our pump that we bought earlier and fixed the PVC issue. Anthony and Duane were great! Although my husband's duck tape did in fact hold the PVC together, it was good to get the professionals in and at a reasonable cost. We will be sure to keep their information handy. They were straight-forward and competent. We will call them again, when needs arise.

When you have an emergency on a Saturday morning before 8 am your chances of finding a plumber (let alone a good one) are slim - and yet we somehow lucked into finding Tony, who arrived within 20 minutes of our call. He was able to expediently fix the problem (a leaky faucet was dripping into our downstairs neighbor's kitchen light fixture) and while he was there also fixed a few other plumbing issues that we had learned to live with (a slow draining sink and a running toilet.) All of this was done at a very reasonable rate and we were able to go on with our weekend, plumbing issues all fixed by 9 am. Five stars for Tony!

Yelp didn't steer me wrong with Drain Flow. Tony is incredibly accommodating and professional (and reasonably priced to boot!). When a my 1950s era waste water pipe showed signs of corrosion I turned to Drain Flow after reading the reviews on here. Was the best decision I could have made. Tony answered the phone right away, arrived early to conduct the estimate and did all the needed work within a few hours. He never once made me feel pressured or 'in the dark' about any of the work being done, which made the process infinitely easier.

Cannot recommend these guys highly enough!

Great guys! Our upstairs neighbor's tub started leaking one night and within hours, a huge web spot on our ceiling appeared. We called Drain Flow and they came the next day -- very accommodating guys. They not only fixed the drain issue, patching up the ceiling but they also cleaned up the mess! We called on a Sunday morning. Anthony was in the town next door and said he could head our direction immediately. He was here within twenty minutes, fixed the clogged drain, and was off again half an hour or so later. It was very easy and convenient, and reasonably priced for on-demand Sunday service. Very useful and convenient!

Anthony and Dwayne are the best. They came more quickly than I expected, did a masterful job, and didn't over-charge me. I've had other plumbers come for the same issue and they did a poor job. Don't waste your time on other plumbers, just call Drain Flow. They'll be honest, fix your problem and save you money.

Tony is a personable, courteous guy, but in this case, he was unable to clear the clog - 2nd floor bathroom sink in a 113 year old house. He also charged me $100 for an (in hindsight) unnecessary replacement of the sink's drain tube. On the bright side, he referred me to a different drain company who came and was able to clear the clog.

I came home from work and found sewage backed up into the basement of my house. I called Drain flow at 6pm and an hour later they were on site and removing a ton of roots from my pipes. They were great, used a camera to locate the blockage and stayed at it until the pipe was completely cleared. Great customer service and a fair price...I would highly recommend them!

I was surprised to see a couple of 1-star reviews for Tony and Drain Flow. I have used Tony a couple of times before my review and I have used him a few times afterward as well. He has always been able to come same day or next for time-sensitive issues. In fact, for more urgent things, I usually call 2 or 3 different people and Tony has always been able to get to me the earliest. They are definitely busy given the positive reviews, and they are out there working until midnight lots of days to get to everyone as quickly as possible. Our radiant heating system went out 2 nights ago and I called a few people that I trust. Nobody could come the same night until I called Tony and he said he would try to come that night, but as of 11pm they were still working on the job before me, so I said it could wait until the next day. As promised, he came by yesterday afternoon and got everything working plus took care of a separate task for me. Sure, I wish I could get a plumber to show up within 30 minutes every time I need one, but we all know that isn't realistic. I know with these guys, I can trust that the job will get done properly and they won't fleece me on the bill.

Tony is great. My hot water heater started to leak on Sunday, by Tuesday it stopped working. I contacted him Monday and he said he could come and repair (or replace) Tuesday am on MY schedule. When he arrived, he introduced himself but was right to the point, it needed to be replaced. He replaced it with a 40 gallon tank (I had a 30) and even had to do some re-piping because of some awkward angles. Start to finish it took 1hr45 mins. He even let the air out of my pipes and took the old heater with him. A day later there was a huge pop in the guest toilet and I knew something was wrong. The water intake had popped out due to the high pressure and something else burst also. I texted him Monday night and he came this am, replaced the busted mechanism in ten mins. He was going to only charge me $10 but who has cash these days? I offered to write him a check and he said get me next time. I am so happy I have a plumber who is LOCAL, readily available and not taking advantage of my lack of home repair knowledge.

Awesome service - best find in the plumbing department! Very courteous, genuinely concerned (at first said they couldn't help me because they were too busy, but offered lost of free advice at to what the problem was and gave me honest advice on what would be a fair price for the job (very helpful, because I was about to get fleeced by a much bigger competitor). I insisted on waiting until they were free to do the job, and they made a special effort to make time two days later, The problem was fixed in under an hour! Very rare find - competent, honest and reliable. Would go back to them anytime I have a problem .

I've used Tony 3-4 times in the past and have been surprisingly satisfied each time. He and his colleague, Dwayne, do a great job. They are punctual, incredibly responsive and (this is the most impressive part) do not gouge you on prices for fixing things you don't understand. Dwayne came to fix our shower a month ago and while he was here he took a look at our water heater, which was way out of warranty. He spoke with Tony and they gave me a great deal. I had priced 2 other companies, and Tony was far and away the winner, at least $100 cheaper than the other companies and his service is superior. We finally had the water heater replaced on Monday and Tony remembered the price he quoted me a month ago. I'd recommend him as a go-to plumber.

We cannot say enough good things about Tony! I came home to find a pool of water running from our kitchen to the living room, a dishwasher filled with dirty water, and a kitchen sink regurgitating disgusting water. After we tried to fix the issue ourselves with a plunger and a traumatic experience with filthy water spraying on us, we gave up and decided to call a plumber. Another place told us they would not be able to come until the morning, and even then they may not be able to fix the problem. Thanks a lot. We called Tony and he saved the day!! It was late Friday night, but Tony said he would be at our place in 30-45 min. He came, was super friendly and put our minds at ease immediately. He was able to fix the problem in less than 30 min and the charge was only $150! If I had know it would only cost that, I would have called Tony hours earlier and avoided being covered in disgusting water! We now have Tony's contact info on our fridge and we would never call another plumber. He was really great and we would definitely use him again.
