excellent service - Needed my forced hot water system serviced since I suddenly had no heat throughout my first floor although the heat was fine on my second floor. Not quite sure what was wrong, but we had a few guesses. Called Buss Plumbing and he arrived later that afternoon. Diagnosed the problem, confirmed the guess we'd made and explained a little about how my system works. Matt installed the new parts and got our heat up and running within hours for a very reasonable price. I would recommend highly

I am new to town and called Mark today due to a leaky kitchen faucet. Within a few hours, he came out and fixed it. He is very friendly and reasonable, and I will definitely be calling him in the future for plumbing issues. Thanks for the help on such short notice!

Mike came to our house a couple weeks ago in an emergency situation (pipe burst and flooded a room). He dropped everything to come fix our pipe at 9 pm and was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. He really saved us from major damage and made it so that we could turn our water back on immediately. Highly recommended. Thank you, Mike!!!!

Pretty disappointed to see so many high reviews on this.... Was charged $200 for a guy to come in and check two limit switches with a multimeter (which I did before he came), and come to the conclusion that I needed to spend 10,000 to replace it.... He said he could troubleshoot for an hour but did the troubleshooting in the first 15 minutes.... Then he said he could check to see if Carbon monoxide was mixing with the air going into the house but his $3,000 instrument was in the truck and its too cold to operate... Um, Isn't that why you came?
He basically sat there and asked me what I wanted to know, like he was now a class professor about to teach me his profession saying it takes a lot of schooling to understand....I have an engineering degree, I know learning thermodynamics and simple system troubleshooting was a challenge, the only reason I chose for you to come out is to save myself the trouble of learning a new system myself (which I've perused over the entire electrical schematic, know voltage levels on signal lines and can talk the lingo now) ... I reassure you guys, a furnace is not rocket science.
He came with a cold house, and left a cold house, and all he could say was that I needed a new furnace... for $200... I did end up getting a new furnace, but for A LOT cheaper than his quote of 10,000 which is ridiculous considering that a furnace plus materials cost only 2,000 -- go figure -- id avoid this place, not worth their flat rate, commission based technicians trying to push for expensive repairs. If you have a technical degree, take the time to learn how the system works and replace, its likely much less challenging than your actual occupation!

I'm a recent first time home owner and new to all things plumbing. I needed to replace my kitchen faucet, and Matt came to my rescue. I'm blown away by the prompt response, professionalism, and overall friendly servicing he provided me. He completed the job quickly and even offered to help me with removing some handles on my cabinets. I'm beyond impressed and grateful for his help. On top of everything else, it's a family owned business and they clearly care about the community and their customers. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

Our 30 year old boiler finally gave out in the middle of the night late November. I called several plumbing companies to come take a look and give estimates. Craig Forsythe was one of the first to get back to us and come take a look at it. I choose Forsythe plumbing for several reasons, their prices were competitive, they could start that day, and they seemed very friendly and competent. They started that day removing the old boiler and installed the new boiler the next day. Jaimie and William were the main technicians and were very friendly. Jaimie explained everything he was doing, and patiently went over all the parts of the boiler we may need to know about before he left. We had one small problem the following day and Craig came right out to fix it. I would definitely recommend them.

Watch out for the subcontractors they are shady. Mike is a great guy but his subcontractors are incompetent and quite 3x more than Rizzo for basic work.
5 star for Mike 1 star for his subcontractors that still represent his company.

I used Mark to help redesign a 4-family moving a kitchen and bath to opposite sides. Mark is efficient, responsible, trust-worthy and does solid work. He is excellent for heating systems and always has advice to save money for owners and property managers. I used Mark for several other renovations including installing two Superstore HWH to save money and reduce long term costs for this property. Mark uses reliable brands and offers a reputable workmanship for all his projects.

Very quick and efficient. Had an emergency problem and came very quick. I can't believe other plumbers wanted a fee just to inspect the problem. Problem was fixed the same day

Blown out water heater on a snowy Saturday. Romano sent two plumbers out quickly and replaced the water heater and did a great job. The problem I have with them is the cost. I was quoted one price over the phone and another ($200 higher) at the time of job completion. They used every bullshit sales justification under the sun, not cool Kurt.

Very overpriced, very much unimpressive talent.
They charged about 2x the going rate, and then they managed to hook my new garden spigot up to the HOT water. They never bothered to test it- the only way it was noticed was that i insisted on testing it before writing the check, they rolled their eyes, and i saw huge gouts of steam coming out...

Needed a simple drain collar replaced in my old bathtub. They spent less than 2 hours and, for parts, used about 1 foot of pipe. That's it. Access to the tub was easy as the ceiling below the tub is a drop ceiling. They charged me almost $800 for that job! Soooooo plumbers make about 400 an hour? Wow. Additionally, the porcelain around the drain was left chipped with a hairline crack. I didn't complain because it just a couple of small chips and I plan on having the tub repainted anyway. But geez . . . at that price I'd expect the tub to be in the same condition as they found it.

I have mixed feeling about GEM.
I have called them three times and used them for repair twice.
First time I called it was for a leak in the bathroom. It was causing a waterspot on the ceiling. They came over and wanted to cut the dry wall open. I thought they would have some little pipe camera unit to check but they did not. I sent them on their way. $99 service fee. No big deal. I ended up doing the repair myself and didn't have to cut the drywall out.
Second time I called was to install a little baseboard heater for the crawl space. It was also to remove an old heater and also to reroute a 120volt outlet. The two electricians that came out were very nice. The cost was $1000 which I thought was fair for a crew of two for 3 hours of work.
Third time I called was to tack a loose shower valve. The drywall needed to be cut out and the shower valve reattached to the stud. I bought an access panel that they installed. It took about 20 minutes and the cost was $550. A bit steep but atleast I didn't have to do it.
I called them to ask about a wax ring replacement for a toilet. They told me 555+99 service fee. Now that's crazy. That is nearly triple most plumbers are charging.
I called Woods Rooter and they did it for $200.
So yes GEM is expensive. They are easy to contact and responsive but is that worth 2 or 3 times more? I don't think so.
