We just moved into our house and found our washer box valves were leaking in our washer box. They were able to come within 24 hours to fix. Jesse did a great job. He was very professional, educated me on our main water shut off, and completed the job very quickly.

Upon using Yelp's feature & having professional experts contact us made everyday simple things less challenging.  This company was concise in their service fees associated with remedies.  Tho we needed a water softener install plus an indoor shut off value update & repair, our immediate needs became apparent.  We opted for only doing the line with pex*.  Goodness gracious, I hope I'm using the appropriate terminology in this review ;) .

We were delighted when Winters explained what was needed in our amended plumbing job, arrived when promised, waived the service fee (omitted upon verbal agreement/payment).  I assumed this much as we hired them upon the IRL visual pricing.   Winters texted us when their person (Donnie) was on his way in the morning of.  We received a text so we would know who was coming & ETA of arrival.  

Donnie arrived when he said he was going to, explained what was required, preformed exceptionally well, no additional mess was present after the job was done, & the best part is that Donnie didn't try to overwhelm us with unnecessary services that we didn't need or thought we ought to want.   Love love love that aspect of hiring Winters.  The best part of Winters is that they are local.

*Pex is used nowadays per the licensed plumbers we spoke to in lieu of copper sweating.

I had a severely blocked drain. Hope came out to snake it and found mud in the drain. The drain has collapsed somewhere. After giving them $221 they said they would be back in FOUR days with a camera to find the issue. They then called 10 minutes before the appointment time to tell me they didn't have a camera that would work. How can a mistake like this happen???? I would have found a different company in the last four days instead of waiting around without a kitchen sink!!

We came home from dinner out and found that our sump pump had died and the basement was slowly flooding.  I called Seriously 24-7 and they sent out Andrew Miller who came right over from another job.  He was very understanding of the situation, explained all the options and once I choose, he got right to work.  One of the best workmen I have ever dealt with, especially considering the late hour.  I will definitely be calling them again for my next plumbing needs.

The Grateful Plumber is my go-to for all plumbing needs. For a little over $500 he replaced an outdoor faucet, treated my slow draining sink, checked the water line behind my refrigerator, and showed me where my water main was (in the front yard). Excellent value and service. Highly recommend.

I recently signed up with an annual hvac and plumbing service agreement with Chapman. We installed a new hvac unit a few years back and it started making a high pitched whining noise. The company we purchased the unit through ultimately lost our confidence by lack of knowledge and difficulty scheduling service.
Chapman sent a service tech who immediately heard the noise and knew what it was, since has come back and replaced the part.
My experience with Chapman has been excellent. From scheduling to communication to tech being professional. I Highly recommend this company.

Mike's is fantastic! He's done a number of things at our place, from spa repairs to fixing some faucets and locks. He's a great communicator, timely, and charges a fair price. Highest recommendation.

We have used Bob as our plumber for a few years now. He has always been honest, knowledgable and reasonably priced.  We will continue to use him as our plumber as long as he is around.  Highly recommended.

Two plumbers came out to my daughter's house to reseat a toilet, install a water softener with plumbing already in place, and install a new vanity/sink. My daughter called to go over the estimate with me before authorizing the work to be done. When she told me it would be approximately $700, I thought that was reasonable. But then I was told that was only for that day's charges because they had to come back to install the water softener. The total was over $1800!  I asked to speak to one of the plumbers for a breakdown of the estimate. One of the charges was $198 for them to go to the hardware store and pick up a couple parts!  Yes, they wanted to charge almost $200 to pick up some parts!!  When I told them to forget about it and we would find someone else, the plumber frantically tried to talk me into using them and said he'd take off 20%. When I told him that still wouldn't work, he wanted to know what I would be willing to pay. I wouldn't have had them do service for any price with them trying to rip off my young daughter and then play The Price is Right with me over the phone. I was told the service call would be $29 if we didn't get the service done. When I told them we were declining service, they tried to rip us off again by saying it would be $49 for the trip charge. I don't know what is going on, but $1800 for three small plumbing jobs that would take a couple hours is astronomical, and I was shocked that a locally owned and operated company would be double the price of the next estimate I received. And to be charged $200 to go down the street to the hardware store was completely unbelievable. It's the plumber's job to have the necessary parts, and if they don't have the right parts, it's their job to go get them or order them to repair at a later date. I am attaching a picture of the estimate. Maybe someone can explain why the prices are so much higher than the subsequent two estimates I received and why my daughter was going to be charged almost $200 to pick up parts. I am very disappointed in Carter's Plumbing and expected better from a local company.

Our air conditioner wasn't working to peak performance, so we called Howald. The technician said it was just a dirty filter that he'd clean but would have to charge us $100 for an emergency repair. Total of about $186. He told us the hardware was fine and there was no coolant problem.

The system still wasn't working correctly, so we called in another company. They diagnosed a broken coolant coil and that we'd lost several pounds of coolant. The technician laughed when we mentioned the previous company and mentioned they (Howald) probably played us for a quick buck.

We won't be going back to Howald.

Plumbing Paramedics performed an inspection on our plumbing after the rebuild of our new Old Town Design Group house which flooded due to an installation error by their contractor, BRS Mechanical (BR Schroeder and Sons).

Plumbing Paramedics were extremely professional and thorough and they explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. They also noticed that a flush valve had never been installed on our tankless water heater. Plumbing paramedics returned later and installed a flush valve and flushed our system for a great deal. I am grateful for their honest and quality work.

Small company, reasonable and polite. I would recommend Maxwell and sons. Had Mike complete a bunch of inspection items.

GREAT, QUICK and CHEAPER!  I try to provide credit where credit is due and we called several places on short notice.  They quoted substantially less, showed up the same day and did a great job.  I don't want to name names as to the others, but PLEASE check them out even if you're in a hurry - they're good, cost effective and saved me a ton. I will be a return customer.

We have been a customer of Godby for probably over 10 years. We are on their Club Godby. I'll say they have very good service however,  I called to have them look at a couple of things. There is a $99 service call which is fine. We needed a frost free outside spigot repaired and Gary the technician (who has been here before and is a nice guy) gave me the estimate to replace one outside faucet (spigot) and I was shocked. I expected it to be over $200.? but it was over $400. Labor is over $200 per hour. I told Gary to forget it and paid the $99 call fee. We will be looking for another HVAC and plumbing company. BTW, the 3 stars were for their service. If I had to give a star rating on pricing, it would be a one.

Nick was wonderful! He figured out the issue fast and educated us on our new thermostat. Great customer service!

Okay, I'm dropping summers. I've had them for three years, never payed any attention just blindly trusted them. But and however, my furnace had a yearly checkup, they told me everything looks fine but considering it's age, it probably would be a good idea on replacing it before it goes out and doing it soon as possible because of the pandemic scheduling and prices. I said I'll think about it... They leave and I notice the heater isn't coming on. I called them back telling them it hasn't worked since they inspected it. They come back, take an hour looking at it and tell me they think it's dead, the main board is fried and the only way to know would be to order another board and swap them out but that would cost me nearly $1,000 so I'm probably better off just replacing it and they quoted me new ones.

Well, I ended up paying another company to come out to look it over because I didn't like how convenient it stopped working after they inspected it and tried selling me a new one felt to me. This guy came out for $85 fee and told me within 5min it was just the capacitor and replaced it for $30 while laughing at summers maintenance guys at what they said and did and missed, and like magic it works like a champ again.

Be warned, about summers watch them. I had this feeling before when my AC was inspected and plumbing. Now I know I was right about them. Because this whole new team that came doing the follow up home inspection just made them embarrassingly exposed and looking like con artist.

Peterman replaced our entire sewer line in March, from the street and under the house. It's stressful enough to have an unexpected $10k sewer repair, but Peterman's unhelpful and unresponsive customer service has added to the stress.

During the 2-day repair they left our sewer line unhooked for an entire 24 hour period, meaning our in-house plumbing ran into our yard that first evening. They told us that if we needed to use the toilet or shower, it would be no big deal to let it run into the yard. Big deal or not, it's not very dignifying for your family to flush waste into your yard and it's worse for them to act as if it wasn't a big deal.

They also promised that they would only tear up about 4-6 feet of our yard with their pipe bursting replacement technology. Instead, they dug a trench that tore up 20-25' of our yard. Not a big deal, but it was misleading.

What was a bigger deal is that the excavator they used to dig up our yard actually cracked our asphalt driveway in two places. It has been weeks since they said someone would contact us about it and no one has taken care of the problem yet.

They also left the old, cast-iron sewer line under our house. They cut it out and just left it in the crawl space. We've asked repeatedly for someone to come take it and dispose of it properly but it hasn't happened.  

So, be warned that once they secure the job, their follow through and their customer service is not only bad, it is stressful to deal with. It seems like a very bureaucratic company that doesn't empower its employees to put the customer first and, as a result, they all want to pass you on to someone else in the company while your concerns never get addressed. We regret letting Peterman do the work.
