Established in 1982.
Mike Maxwell Sr. started his plumbing adventure in the late 70's apprenticing with various plumbers to gather different styles of the trade. After completing the state required on the job training and completing the state exam Mike Maxwell Sr. went into business for himself. Opening the doors to then Maxwell and Son Plumbing based out of the fountain square area having his first office on S. Shelby Street near Garfield Park. Mike grew his business based on the basic principals of business, offering a great product at a fair price. Mike always knew if he kept his overhead costs close to none that his customers would benefit from having a skilled plumber at a fraction of the cost of the major phone book companies. This theory still holds true today. In fact most who contacted Mike knew they would not only be a customer but a friend for life, part of the family some would even say. Fast forward 30 years and 4 sons later and what was once Maxwell and Son Plumbing is now Maxwell and Sons.

Plumber or Cop which one? Following in my grandfather and father (Mike Maxwell Sr.) foot steps I knew plumbing would be part of my future, however it took a turn half way through the journey. You see, I started as a plumbing apprentice shortly after high school and then decided to try my hand in the law enforcement world then went back to plumbing school, got licensed and now do both! . I know what your thinking plumber then cop. The truth is today I do both full time police officer proudly serving with the men and women  of The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and plumber almost full time as well. I guess when I put more thought into it, I just like helping people.
